About the people feeding fanfictions to AI: It's so fucking sad and maddening that people will do anything BUT leaving a comment. I'm so done with writing fanfiction.
Hey Anon!
I know it can be super frustrating when we don't receive the feedback that we want. I think every creator is guilty of feeling that way, because we WANT to have others share in our joy of the things we make, and when they don't, it just feels kinda....silly? I guess?
We live in the "tiktok" era, as I would dub it, where everything is so fast-paced and fandoms live one second and die another, content needs to be NOW or never, but honestly, we as fanfic writers are not 'CONTENT CREATORS'. We are fan artists, in some fashion. Whether you write, draw, sing, etc, for the joy of contributing to the fandom, and I think "fandom" has lost its way entirely these days.
Fandom is a community - and we need to support one another for the things we make, to enjoy the things we love. If we stop commenting, sharing, etc, then the fandom ultimately dies. Yes, it's discouraging to not receive feedback on something you've worked hard on, and I think we all need to work on getting back to the true values of fandom.
And with this AI stupidity? What's so fascinating about feeding words to a computer? You're losing out on the heart and soul of a story or creation. Computers don't have feelings, but we fanworks creators do, and there is a distinct difference between AI generated works and those done by real people.
My advice: keep writing. While we may not get the feedback we desire, your story will become someone's favorite. You will become the author someone gravitates towards and can't wait to see what you post next. I know it gets discouraging, I feel that way more than I like to admit, but then I get (1) comment, or one nice tag about how amazing xyz was, and I think in the end, so long as we can SEE that our joy is spreading, isn't that what it's all about? (Let's completely ignore the "write for yourself first" rule because sometimes that just gets too repetitive).
Keep creating, my friend, it's never worthless, or pointless, and people DO care, I promise. Some people just have a more quiet way of showing it.
That being said: please support your fellow creators. Share their works if you like it, drop even a little emoji comment on it to show your support. Every little bit counts, and engagement with creators is at, what I feel, an all-time low. This needs to be fixed, or creations done by real people are going to go away.

since i've been drawing the touchstarved love interests and going through the demo again, i feel like my appreciation for the game so far and especially the characterization has grown so so much. the writing is superb, the designs make me feral, the relationships they all have are so tasty omfg, the settings and world building are so inspiring, it's amazing
happily, this means leander has competition now and i can appreciate the demo a lot more. sadly, this also means that i get flustered so fucking easily now 'v'

1. for the choose violence ask game?
1. the character everyone gets wrong
ONE THOUSAND YEARS JAIL FOR TCW WRITERS for getting that absolutely GOLDEN layup in AotC and then NOT doing jack fuck with Dooku. They looked right at Christopher Lee's deliberately nuanced portrayal in that movie (within the script's and direction's limitations which were indeed very limiting. Have I ever mentioned that George wasn't too good at writing Dooku either?) and did NOTHING. They made him a Saturday evening cartoon guy in the Saturday evening cartoon and I am inconsolable
I cannot get over how they squandered his potential!! And Asajj's by extension, too. And why do I have to cling to CW 03 for any screentime of them both even just existing in the same room? Like genuinely do we ever see them physically next to each other? They're supposed to be master and apprentice bro something went terribly wrong here!!
Also to bend this back to the fandom and to beat a dead bloated decomposing horse: Obi-Wan. Novels have been written about his fanon alter-ego so I'll just say that most people actually write him just fine until any type of relationship emerges! Ppl want to swaddle this spiritual master and veteran shock formation leader in a blanket so bad they gotta nerf him to hell so someone can take loving care of the shadow of his former self lmao

Can I take a wild swing at your Childhood friends AU?
I've had a few people reach out and ask if they can write stuff about that AU (or just straight up say they're going to take it without asking, haha..) so I'm gonna answer this one publicly as a blanket answer that's basically "yes"!
I don't own the concept of a childhood friends AU and I'm sure I'm not the first person to think about Usopp & Sanji meeting when they were young, so already I don't feel right telling people they can't take inspo from my AU. And also, I'd love to read more people's takes and interpretations on this AU and sanuso in general!
Sometimes I can be precious about my concepts in case I'd like to work them into my own comics/stories but I think this one is fair game! If you take direct inspiration from my work in your fic then I would appreciate credit/a link back, but like I said, I can't really claim ownership over such a broad concept.
Let me know if you publish it though so I can read it!

I WOULD ONCE AGAIN LIKE TO REMIND ALL YOU NON-CREATORS WHO FOLLOW CREATORS.
We creators are human beings.
We live and breathe, eat and drink, and most importantly, we feel most of the same things, as you.
When you show passive aggressiveness towards creators, we feel it, and we do not find it pleasant.
When you show hate towards creators, we feel it and never mind how tough some of us are or may seem. We feel it
When you show us impatience, when you show us disgust, when you show us boredom and indifference. We feel it.
And we do not enjoy it
We do not think it is fun to be belittled, hated, berated, or degraded in any way or form. We have lives outside of writing, painting, etc. We have mental health that may not always be at the top of things — we can have so many things going on in our lives, and when you decide to trot in and be loud, barking and showing no respect, you make creators want to create less.
We are human beings, and it baffles me that we have to speak up about it so often. The fact that you can sit there with your phones or your iPads and computers and actively hate on people anonymously and degrade them, show how you, as a human being, have no respect or care for others whatsoever as long as you get that little rush out of it.
You would not care if anything happened to the creator, as long as you get to have your content. But without the creators, that same content will no longer be avialable. Have some respect.
We as creators work hard, inside and outside of creator work.

after deducting the cost of materials (charms, findings, the little display cards they go on to) and, hell, even rounding it up an extra 20% for such things has "had to buy a £2 pair of pliers once"
right
after deducting that and being generous with it
i get paid roughly £165 per hour for labour making earrings. i'm serious. £5.50 for two minutes of work

Come join the community
You noticed the strange broadcast at 3AM, that saccharine woman on the screen again along with rows of simular woman in vintage pastel dresses.
People talked about Wholesome dreams on various paranormal discussion forums but you always assumed it was just some creepypasta or weird analog horror project.
"Swearing is very naughty, a proper girl should never know of such improper words." Miss Lovely said almost as if addressing you from the screen itself.
You noticed you couldn't even swear now or even remember bad words.
She grinned, her eyes pulling you in as you where engaged with the program "The way you are dressed, so dreadful. Good girls should dress like in their girly best." You nodded along, everything making so much sense.
"Why not come away and become a resident of wholesome dreams, now and forever?"
Within a few days you where declared missing, nobody knew what happened to you but to the keen observer there was a new resident on that strange show you might sometimes catch late at night.

No Content November
Tumblr media
The goal of NCN is to show what would happen if everyone stopped creating free content.
Your dash would be empty. No art. No fics. No comics.
The idea is that for the whole month of November, creators of all kinds (artists, writers, etc) don’t post any sort of content, this to create a simulation of what happens to posts when you only like them instead of rebloging them, the art/fics/comics/ don’t get circulated, and eventually there’s nothing to see and enjoy.
Tumblr media
Every content creator has experienced the unbalance between Likes and Reblogs.
Likes look nice, but Reblogs give exposure, which results in even more people finding your work.
Reblogs help creators grow, and be encouraged, which means even more content than before!
Tumblr media
What can you do to help as a non creator (and creator)?
During November support your favorite content creators by Rebloging, Commenting or sending an Ask!
Even a short “Nice work! Love it” is great to cheer up and encourage the content creators whom work you enjoy.
(You are also encouraged to do this the whole year!)
Tumblr media
The long term goal is to one day, make Reblogs as abundant as Likes, plus with this small but very meaningful support, we could all end up enjoying even more content than before!
And if you are not a creator but the content you enjoy has ever made you happy, helped you in some way, even to just brighten your day a little bit, please, consider giving those creators your support! It will be very appreciated.
FAQ bellow the “Read More”
I don’t want to participate because [insert reason here]
That’s alright! Just like any other monthly trend in the internet, you are not forced or expected to participate. It is true that the more of us that do this, the more impactful it can be, but if you don’t want to do it the whole month, or just do a couple days, that’s fine.
You are just a big, popular blog trying to trick and damage smaller blogs
I get this assumption a lot, and I am not a big blog. I have been posting my content online for about 16 years and currently have 794 followers after having to move blogs in 2021 because I found out Tumblr was hiding my content in the search engine for being a side blog (and for reference, I had around 593 last year and 150 followers the previous one). This is not an effort to “jeopardize” smaller creators, nor a sneaky way to harm others, I am doing and have been doing this because year after year, the share vs like ratio has been worsening, and I plan on keep doing this as long as needed, even if I become a big blog, I won’t stop.
I want to help but I don’t want to stop posting, how else can I help?
Reblog! This is the perfect month to spam your followers by rebloging the work of other creators you follow, you can also leave comments and send asks! This is the moment to let know your favorite creators you appreciate their hard work and presence on the internet!
Artist and creators are not entitled to reblogs, you can’t ask that
You are right, we are not entitled, nor in the right to demand reblogs, comments or any sort of support. But in the same note, people that enjoy our content, are not entitle to demand more content, specific content, or faster content when it is being given to them for free. And sadly that happens way too often.
I want to participate but I depend on my Commissions / Patreon to buy food/survive
That’s alright, you can still participate! NCN aims towards Free content that we post, the one that we share with no sort of payment back, you can still do and share paid content you do.
I participated last years and nothing changed
Unfortunately, we can’t change the world in a single month. This is NCN fourth year, and granted, it’s not abysmally different now, but the worse that can happen is that nothing changes, and I rather keep trying than sit down and wonder if maybe it could have worked. On the other hand, I’ve received and found a lot of artists that enjoy this month because it gives them an excuse to rest and not focus on their blogs and just enjoy making, and that is enough reason for me to keep trying.
As closing notes please remember I am just another human being behind the screen. You are 100% allowed to not like this idea, you can block me and the tag if you don’t want to see any of it. There’s no need for mean messages or attacks.

Creator Community Good Faith Practices
Here at the Creator’s Cave, our mission is to create a ‘safe space’ for people to learn how to create new content and mods for The Sims 3, and share their knowledge of how to create new content and mods for the Sims 3.
Frequently, new custom content (CC) is generated by making edits to existing CC. As part of the above mission, we feel it is required of us to encourage ‘Good Faith’ practices, and to discourage ‘Bad Faith’ practices when utilizing content from other creators in your CC or mods.
We've made a  list of ‘Good Faith’ and ‘Bad Faith’, and ‘Grey Area’ practices to serve as guidelines for both existing and aspiring creators.
We asked those in the discord to help distill and tweak it, and will continue to make alterations based on feedback from the creator community. These guidelines are primarily enforced by the community itself, and other creators may decline to provide assistance to someone who is using ‘Bad Faith’ practices.
Here’s a link to the doc for any interested: TS3 Creator Good Faith Practices

IMPORTANT POST - PLAGIARISM
it was brought to my attention recently that my works are being stolen yet again :D guys. do you think finding that our works are giving other people credit behind our backs makes us cheer and jump around in joy??? do YOU find joy in getting credit for other people’s creations and hard work??? because for those who do, wow, i applaud you thinking like that and living a life that YOU clearly are making for yourself 👏🏻 cheers to that 🥂 (please 💀)
boys and girls and everybody outside and in between, i’m speaking as someone who has gotten their work stolen over and over and over and over again and has had it happen to me again just now. experiencing this just reminds me how much seeing someone ELSE gain credit for something that’s mine and that i put so much love and hard work into makes me want to just quit posting all together, honestly. sorry if that sounds extreme and sudden. but truly, expressing my deep and honest feelings, i don’t want to keep posting if in the end my works will just be posted by others as their own. ESPECIALLY without giving credit. IT IS POSTED EVERYWHERE on every writer’s blog TO NOT PLAGIARIZE, COPY, STEAL, ETC ANYBODY’S WORK. and honestly, it doesn’t matter if you give credit when we never gave you permission in the first place. can you not just use your brain, use your common sense and think about how it would make us writers feel to create and share something that we poured so much love into, only to find someone else gaining credit for it? we work SO HARD to put out works for people to enjoy and we do it for FREE. and believe it or not, but that doesn’t give you permission to just go and share it on other platforms as your own. can you not just have a little respect?
please be careful because your actions can be so damaging to others and/or yourself. don’t think you can just so easily take other people’s work and use them as your own; there will always be consequences.
creds to @/rlcswo on tiktok for stealing multiple works of mine that i loved a lot and making me feel disgusted (cuz of the plagiarist, not me) about them now and possibly for the rest of my life :D and! for pushing me to quit posting works in the future 👍🏻👏🏻 they also stole so many other creator’s works and posted them as their own. guys, please report them and find the original authors to let them know as well <3
feel free to reblog to spread the word <3
