y’all i don’t wanna have to make a post like this but after today, it feels a little bit necessary,,,
i opened this app a few hours after posting my new mlists to maybe 4x the amount of notifs than normal (bc of the new mlists)?? and all of them, except for maybe 5 (rbs/comments etc) were likes. and i appreciate the likes, i do! however, it still saddened me to see that the ratio of likes to feedback (comments, reblogs including feedback, asks, etc) was about 1 piece of feedback to 300 likes… y’all this is just insane. like i’m still grateful for the likes, but if you put yourself in writers’ shoes, receiving nice feedback from readers is far more encouraging.
and this might just be tumblr culture, but tbh it’s actually kind of discouraging to see so many likes without a single comment or reblog in sight,,, like if i’m being completely honest, seeing this kind of thing makes me start to think thoughts like is my writing rlly not good enough to receive compliments? (and i’m not disregarding any of the incredibly kind words y’all have given me in the past. y’all rock. this post is for the ghost readers.)
anyone can just simply drop a like, but when someone takes the time and thought to let us know that they liked, it means the world to us writers.
like yes, we do this for free, but bc we do, it would be nice if you could even just take 5 seconds to drop a simple “this was so cute!” us writers loveeee those types of comments and it encourages and keeps us motivated to create even more content for you guys. like i’m glad y’all are probably enjoying my work, but it would nice to actually hear that from you and maybe what you liked about it :)
so pls pls pls take just a few seconds out of your day to show your favourite writers some love <3

CAN WE HEAR THE PUNS??? I LOVE PUNS!!! HERE IS A JOKE FOR YOU : My friend David lost his ID Now he's just Dav :,(
BAHAHAHHAAHHAHA THAT MADE ME LAUGH SO HARD-
I'll show you my favorite shirt (though be warned my sense of humor is very nerdy):
Tumblr media
hehehehhehehehehhehe
The yellow circle is a substrate, it basically activates the enzyme (the pink thing). The green triangle is a inhibitor! (It bonds to an enzyme and changes the shape of it so that the substrate can't react with the enzyme). The joke is that substrates and enzymes are like a key and lock- so the substrate shouldn't have to have "their name on it" because they are literally made for the enzyme hehe
The inhibitor is the one who's taking the substrate's spot!
My dad got me this quote when I finished AP Bio and said to him word for word, "If I ever see a fucking enzyme again I think I will explode." He immediately ran to order this shirt for me- and I laughed SO HARD when he gave it to me XD

C Quackity analysis(??) because I have T H O U G H T S
so so- The song I Dont Like Myself is so cQuackity coded??? Cause like listen and think about it- Quackity is essentially a mirror of everything and everyone that's happened to him. He's taken it in and mirrored it harsher, stronger, bolder. Because he had to to survive.
He came into the server trying to please everyone, seeing the good in people and trying to actively make things better. But that's not how things work around here, and he learns that first hand in his marriage. Schlatt became the thing that defined him. He soured and hardened him because he needed it to survive. Maybe not in a literal sense but he needed to at least emotionally survive that relationship before he ran away to Pogtopia. I'm sure other analysts here have gone into depth on tntduo- But even Karl and Sapnap influenced his growth. He had love, he was content, and Las Nevadas was his love letter to them that they threw out before even opening it. He shut out his feelings, even taught Charlie to never have attachments or trust. Because that's whats gotten him this far right?
He hates himself because if you take away the scar, the Schlatt, the Wilbur, the Dream. Then what's left?
And the thing is, he sees himself as this broken, scarred and dangerous man who created something far too big for anyone to ever fill the shoes of. Even himself. But he doesn't see Tommy that way. Honestly they are so underrated- Tommy, the guy he thinks of as the example of human. He doesn't judge Tommy like that, at least not currently from what I remember.
Quackity hate's everything he is, what he's become and what other people have done to him. But like that empty casino filled with sparkling lights, pristine glassware, and vacant tables, he hides all of it beneath what's comfortable. So he comes back faster, harder, sharper, and meaner than hopefully anything that could come his way.
And he ignores the nights when the phantom taste of his husband's decaying heart on his lips has him sprawled on the floor. He ignores all the burned out cigarettes on his desk, the alcohol bottles next to the three rings he really should have thrown out a long time ago. And he certainly ignores the lone sound of his cries in an artificial desert.

🇵🇸 From Friends of Al-Aqsa (FOA):
This Ramadan make sure you’re not breaking your fast with the taste of apartheid. All you need to do is check the label to avoid buying dates from apartheid Israel. This includes dates labelled from Israel, the West Bank and the Jordan Valley or if the country of origin is not shown. Ramadan is a time of reflection and self-improvement. During this month we are more conscious of our actions and how they affect others. Israel is the world’s largest producer of Medjoul dates. Let's be conscious of not buying dates that support Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine and apartheid regime. * Major UK supermarkets like ASDA, Tesco, Iceland and Waitrose all sell dates from apartheid Israel as well as local grocery stores * The UK is the second-biggest importer of Israeli dates in Europe 50% of Israeli dates are exported to Europe, where the UK, Netherlands, France, Spain and Italy import huge quantities of the dried fruit. In 2020 the UK imported over 3000 tonnes of dates from Israel, worth roughly 7.5 million pounds. There are two peaks of date consumption in Europe. One is during the month of Ramadan and the other is during New Year’s Eve and Christmas. Boycotting Israeli dates in Ramadan is a concerted community effort that can show we are not powerless. It would be brilliant to see all Israeli dates still left on shelves across the UK and Europe at the end of the blessed month. This would reflect our strength as a community to stand together with a very important message: We will not support the oppression of Palestinians and we will not be complicit in Israeli apartheid. So, this Ramadan #CheckTheLabel and boycott Israeli dates.
With Ramadan approaching, please consider sharing!
If you're in the UK, they also have leaflets available for order on their webpage. These tie into their upcoming campaign #CheckTheLabel, with a national day of action on the 16th of February.
Again, check their webpage for more info.

Alright, Chanukah starts tonight, which means it's time for me to finally make a post about different kinds of menorahs.
This right here? This is the Temple Menorah:
Tumblr media
There's some debate over whether the branches were straight or curved, but here's a few things we do know:
It had seven branches of equal length.
It was made of one solid piece of gold
It was at least five feet tall.
It used pure olive oil.
The Temple Menorah is what people mean when they talk about The Menorah. It's what you'll see on historical or commemorative artifacts such as the Arch of Titus in Rome or Israeli currency:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the time when the Temple stood in Jerusalem, the High Priest lit all seven flames on this Menorah every day (using the aforementioned pure olive oil):
Tumblr media
No one lights this on Chanukah.
This is a Chanukah menorah:
Tumblr media
There are countless variations, but here are the important things:
It has eight branches of equal length, plus a ninth "helper" branch, known as the shamash, which is set apart from the rest of the branches and used to light the others.
It can be made of any material.
It is usually used with wax candles or oil, but, if necessary, one can use anything that burns.
In Hebrew, this kind of menorah is called a chanukiah.
Some Chanukah menorahs, like the one shown above, have the shamash in the middle. Others have it on the side:
Tumblr media
Regardless, this kind of menorah is the one that has been lit by Jews on Chanukah for thousands of years. It's the menorah you'll seen in photographs of Jewish households, including this famous picture taken in Germany in 1931:
Tumblr media
(The message written on the back of the photo reads: "Death to Judah"/ So the flag says/ "Judah will live forever"/ So the light answers)
On Chanukah, whoever is lighting the menorah will first light the shamash, then the number of candles corresponding to whichever night of Chanukah it is. The first night, only the rightmost candle is lit, the second night the two rightmost, etc. (The newest candle is always lit first):
Tumblr media
Again, a valid Chanukah menorah has eight branches of equal length, along with a shamash. There is no such thing as a Chanukah menorah with six branches of equal length and a longer seventh branch, and no valid Chanukah menorah has eight branches of completely different lengths.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you see either of the above designs (or anything similar) on Chanukah-themed decor, it tells you the creator has absolutely no idea what they're doing and couldn't be bothered to do more than two seconds of research to make sure their product was accurate. Anyone who knows anything about the holiday will laugh at these. (They may buy them anyway, especially if that's all that's available-- my new Chanukah sweater has an invalid menorah pattern, but it's adorable, so I'm still going to wear it. But I am also laughing about it and invite you all to do the same.)
Anyway, have a happy Chanukah, everyone!

"This is great; I think this is the first time I've managed to not let a hyper fixation get out of hand," I said to myself while opening up another blank Word document, only for my CPU to tell me in no unequivocal terms to fuck off as it made everything on my desktop hang for a solid minute and a half before resolving itself.
"Huh, that's weird," I said, "I'm not running anything intense. I wonder what caused that..."
Reader. I had 33 different Word Documents open, and 32 of them were Batman-related.
Tumblr media
My brain's really just skittering around in the background, jotting things down on new Word documents like writing ideas on the back of discarded candy wrappers.
I hadn't even named any of them or turned auto-save on. They were all just there. Vibing in concept purgatory. One crash away from being lost into the void forever.
Anyway. I condensed them all into one giant "BATMAN IDEAS" document and pinned it to my taskbar next to Hunger Pangs stuff because why not. Might as well. But also, is this why my fucking hands hurt so much?
On the plus side, writing no longer seems to be triggering deeply harmful depressive episodes, so... yay? I guess?

IMPORTANT POST - PLAGIARISM
it was brought to my attention recently that my works are being stolen yet again :D guys. do you think finding that our works are giving other people credit behind our backs makes us cheer and jump around in joy??? do YOU find joy in getting credit for other people’s creations and hard work??? because for those who do, wow, i applaud you thinking like that and living a life that YOU clearly are making for yourself 👏🏻 cheers to that 🥂 (please 💀)
boys and girls and everybody outside and in between, i’m speaking as someone who has gotten their work stolen over and over and over and over again and has had it happen to me again just now. experiencing this just reminds me how much seeing someone ELSE gain credit for something that’s mine and that i put so much love and hard work into makes me want to just quit posting all together, honestly. sorry if that sounds extreme and sudden. but truly, expressing my deep and honest feelings, i don’t want to keep posting if in the end my works will just be posted by others as their own. ESPECIALLY without giving credit. IT IS POSTED EVERYWHERE on every writer’s blog TO NOT PLAGIARIZE, COPY, STEAL, ETC ANYBODY’S WORK. and honestly, it doesn’t matter if you give credit when we never gave you permission in the first place. can you not just use your brain, use your common sense and think about how it would make us writers feel to create and share something that we poured so much love into, only to find someone else gaining credit for it? we work SO HARD to put out works for people to enjoy and we do it for FREE. and believe it or not, but that doesn’t give you permission to just go and share it on other platforms as your own. can you not just have a little respect?
please be careful because your actions can be so damaging to others and/or yourself. don’t think you can just so easily take other people’s work and use them as your own; there will always be consequences.
creds to @/rlcswo on tiktok for stealing multiple works of mine that i loved a lot and making me feel disgusted (cuz of the plagiarist, not me) about them now and possibly for the rest of my life :D and! for pushing me to quit posting works in the future 👍🏻👏🏻 they also stole so many other creator’s works and posted them as their own. guys, please report them and find the original authors to let them know as well <3
feel free to reblog to spread the word <3

Sushi is gender fluid (his preferred pronouns change frequently)
I'm thinking about making Sushi's full name Sashimi but that wouldn't work because they're not the same type of food! Such a shame too; so many good nickname opportunities (maybe I can use it, but it feels criminal in a way)
Anyways I don't know how they were mutated, but they were a turtle pre-mutation. She grew up in the hidden city, thinking she was a yokai. I'm very tired…would info dump more if I wasn't tired
Also their pronouns are he/they/she/xe/star
First of all: I love that they're genderfluid!!!
Second of all: Oooo Sashimi would be cool... I had to look u what it was thought to be honest... I totally thought they were the same thing! Apparently not :0 I'd love to hear when you decide though!! <3
Thirdly: Interesting!!! She grew up in the hidden city... did they live with anyone? Did they like it there???
I'd love to hear more when you are rested!!! <3 <3 <3

DP x DC Prompt #18
One night while lamenting about Joker to Phantom, Phantom asks him a few odd questions. Joker's not a real clown, of course he wouldn't have an egg? Maybe he should've been concerned when Phantom said he'd take care of it.
He wasn't prepared for Batman to call him because of the Joker. No, not because of Joker, but for Joker. Apparently a bunch of clowns were beating up Joker for giving clowns a bad name.
It was the funniest night of Dick's life.

🇵🇸 From BDS:
This year’s Israeli Apartheid Week will be the most important since IAW was launched 20 years ago! With the ongoing Nakba at its height, Israel is carrying out the world’s first ever live-streamed genocide against 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza while it continues to entrench its 75-year-old settler-colonial apartheid regime against all Indigenous Palestinians. Over the past few months, people around the world have carried out inspiring actions building people power to end state, corporate and institutional complicity in Israel’s #GazaGenocide and contribute to the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice, and equality. With the failure of the international system, under US and Western hegemony, on full display, we will organize IAW throughout the month of March to bring justice from below. Save the date - March 1st - March 30th; an entire month of action and BDS mobilizations to end complicity in genocide, build grassroots power towards liberation and the dismantling of Israel’s settler-colonial apartheid regime. Let’s make this year’s IAW our most impactful ever!
In anticipation of the upcoming Israeli Apartheid Week, BDS has called for an escalation of our boycott campaigns.
To find out how you can join a specific BDS campaign, or how you can contribute towards IAW, you can use the search function on their website to find a BDS-affiliated organization in your country.
Tumblr media
If you and your organization have an event planned for Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW), you can register them with BDS here.
🇵🇸 For individuals unaffiliated with an org, you can still support and participate in IAW by:
Boycotting all products from Israel and from companies profiting off the occupation of Palestine. Here are the official BDS targets. For a more extensive list of products, check in with one of the BDS affiliated organizations in your country (they might tell you, for instance, what processed food items at your local grocery store should be avoided).
Share information about BDS on social media, with friends and family, and with your local community.
For BDS targeted brands, refrain from making or sharing any content that helps that company's outreach and branding. No more memes mentioning the brand, no pictures showing their logo, no more free advertising. Boycotting here isn't just about the loss you as a costumer can inflict on the company by not purchasing their product, it's also about damaging the brand's reputation, and limiting their customer outreach.
I highly encourage you to join a BDS-affiliated org, but if for whatever reason you can't, then these are concrete and actionable steps you can take.
Again, for more information about BDS and Israeli Apartheid Week, you check in with the official BDS website.

honestly, a lot of the "buck picked the wrong guy"/"buck misunderstood the assignment"/etc takes are kind of rubbing me the wrong way. there is no "wrong guy" or "misunderstood assignment" about buck's first queer experience.
eddie should not have been the first guy buck was ever with. buck being with other guys before eddie (if the show ever goes there with buddie) doesn't diminish their relationship.
"buck got it wrong again! he's still on the hamster wheel!" no he isn't. this is entirely new ground. please toss out any preconceived notions you've been hanging onto since like season 2.
