Watching Stargate Atlantis for the second time and having watched SG-1 for the first time previous to this I have issues with some of the Atlantis Characters.

Weir was part of Stargate Command for a short time but supposedly read all the mission reports (she mentions this numerous times). And I’m sure McKay read his fair share including anything Carter wrote, but knows very little of the Stargate and Ancients. Had he even been through the gate before this?

So why in Sanctuary Elizabeth didn’t understand what happened when the Ancient ascended and went through the Stargate I don’t know. She’d have known all about what happened to Daniel.

And in Before I Sleep Weir and McKay don’t know about time travel being possible when Weir at least would’ve known about SG-1 travelling back to to the 60s and again when they went back to Ancient Egypt. McKay would’ve read Carter’s work on this at least.

Sheppard’s team seem to go into situations haphazardly to say the least. Every episode I’m watching I’m thinking how SG-1 would’ve handled it. O’Neill would’ve blown that wraith hive ship to pieces at the start of the series but not before Carter and the Asgard created a virus to destroy all wraith ships in the process.

And in Home didn’t anyone think it weird that Stargate Command said the Asgard were just developing a ship that could travel that far to check on them? The Asgard and Stargate Command had that technology for years before that. That whole storyline about not being able to get back is crazy when the Asgard and Stargate Command have ships with hyperdrives.

Sheppard seems to be a character that’s thrown in at the deep end being the only Major and the only highest ranking officer after the first couple of episodes. He flew O’Neill into Antarctica right at the start and didn’t even know about the Stargate. Any Major going into that situation should’ve at least read mission reports and gone with SG-1 on a few trips through the Stargate. Why only send one Colonel and one Major to Atlantis? Carter as Captain knew more than he did.

My thoughts for now at least…

John found Rodney in his lab, staring at his computer.

"Rodney? Buddy, you okay?" John asked, even though he knew the answer. None of them were okay.

"I can't believe I can't find a solution to this. I always- I can't believe I'm letting everyone die," Rodney said, defeated. John grabbed his shoulders, turning Rodney to face him.

"You're not letting anyone die, Rodney. We still have time to gate back to Earth. Everyone left in the city is choosing to go down with our city, okay?" John said urgently. Rodney shook his head.

"I'm sorry, John..."

John took a deep breath. If they were all about to die, then there was nothing to lose. He pulled Rodney in closer, wrapping one arm around his shoulders and one around his waist.

"John, what-" Rodney said, and was cut off as his lips met John's. The kiss was slow but passionate, as John let the years of built up emotions rush through. Then Rodney pushed John away, and John's chest got tight until-

"Radek! The jumper with the hyperdrive, is it-" and Rodney must have been interrupted by whatever Radek was responding with, but John knew that look.

"You have a plan."

Rodney's face was bright, and John could see his thoughts racing as Rodney worked out the details of whatever crazy last minute plan- just like he always did.

"I just needed the right motivation to think of it," Rodney said with a smile, kissing John quickly before running out of the room, talking a thousand miles a second at Radek.

PinkieJoe was one of my first ships when it came to MLP as well as Coffee Cake being one of my first next gen OCs alongside Retro Dash; so as you already know, I'm quite partial to her and her family haha

I've never been too fond of altering canon looks when it comes to MLP, so for Pinkie and Joe I really didn't do much but add on little accents to their original designs. I also made Pinkie a little more compact ?? and fuzzier to better represent an actual stocky pony. So if you think she looks weird blame it on that x.x

Cake hasn't changed since 2017. She has the same color pallet and everything in regards to her design which is RARE for me. I love to fuck a design up and change it every 2 days.

Sheppard's Pie on the other hand has had a little tiny tweak to his design; nothing major though as you can see! I added a splashed face marking to him as well as Pinkie just because I thought it was a cute look <3 Shep is such a cutie; I really need to work on a the ton of sketches I have of him interacting with Maelstrom so I can share him with people more!
