im jaebum mini series
one / two / three / four / five / six (final) masterlist
Tumblr media
pairing: jaebum x reader genre: friends, angst, jealousy plot: you and jaebum have been really great friends. things have been going smoothly because neither of you were in a real relationship, flings? sure, but girlfriends/boyfriends? no. so when Jaebum starts going out with Emma (a bitch), you can’t help but act out <3 a/n: I dont know why I do this to myself... hope y’all like it. this is written very casually. this one will be like six part absolute max.
“Hey, you know this isn’t going to happen right?”
“Huh?”
“This,” he gestured to the two of you sitting in your dark room. The bed comfortable underneath you as you watched Tangled. You realised how you were leaning against him; your head on his shoulder, your side pressed against him. “This isn’t going to happen.”
“Yeah,” you blew out, making a comical face as you snorted. “Of course not.”
You leaned away from him slightly, straightening onto the pillows behind you instead. You stared at the screen, your cheeks burning, “That would be hilariously disgusting, honestly.”
Shit.
Shit.
“Excuse me,” you said once the movie ended. Before the dark-haired boy could reply you walked into your bathroom, closing the door behind you.
You caught yourself in the mirror. Your eyes wide, your hair a mess, and a face of a fucked up girl staring back at you.
“Shit!” You hissed, quietly, as you stared at yourself.
“Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.” You repeated as you kicked the cabinet underneath the sink. You closed your eyes, running your hands through your hair. You kept out a quick breath, as you rested your hands on the bench.
You leaned in closer to the mirror as you stared into your eyes.
“You got this,” you spoke with resolution. “You’re going to go back in there and act like everything is normal.”
You took in your messed up hair and fixed it into place. You corrected yourself and checked in the mirror. You bit your lip as you gawked at the neckline of your t-shirt in contemplation.
“Fucks sake,” you muttered under your breath, tugging it down to reveal your bra strap. You check your hair once again, sighing deeply to calm yourself.
“Alright, let’s do this.” You walked out the door and into your dimly lit room.
You found your friend sitting on the bed where you had left him. He looked up from his phone, his lips quirking up as he rose his eyebrows, “Have a good piss?”
“Yup, I had been holding it the whole movie,” you replied, as you strolled over to the bed.
Maybe that was why Im Jaebum did not want to fuck you. You talked without a filter and had a grand total of freaking zero charm and wit that other girls had. For some reason when you hung out with Jaebum, you liked to talk and behave like a guy with a dick, instead of a girl who wanted to jump his bones.
You were the goddess of seduction, taking about holding in your piss. Who in their right mind would not want to bury their cock inside a pussy that had been holding its pee for a whole movie.
“We could’ve paused the movie,” Jaebum tsked, getting up to sit straight. The laptop slipped from his lap and onto the bed.
You paused and spun on your heels as you began walking towards the mini-fridge in your room. It wasn’t that you were rich. You had saved up to get this mini prize keeper, so the thieves you lived with didn’t steal your treasure.
“A drink, Jae?” You asked as you bent to open the fridge and grab a bottle for yourself.
“Yeah, why not,” he answered, and you grabbed his favourite. You turned, holding it up and he chuckled before staring at you with a smirk, “You have a problem, y/n.”
“What do you mean?” You frowned, skipping over before jumping onto the bed. You didn’t have a bed frame. You weren’t sure if it was because you were poor or if you liked the low-key fashionable homeless aesthetic.
Jaebum took the drink from you, sipping it as he stared at you over the bottle.
“It is a Wednesday night,” he smiled at you, those ridiculously cute little bumps appearing on his cheekbones as he teased, “and you’re drinking.”
“So? are you too,” You scowled.
“Yes, but that’s cause you offered.”
“Yeah, how is that any different?” Your frown deepened as you took a big gulp. You reached for the laptop bringing it onto your lap. You opened a new tab, “Lesbian or gay porn?”
“Y/n,” Jaebum warned. His voice light, a little stern.
You peeped over at him with a teasing smile. You rose an eyebrow holding back your growing grin, “Gang bang then?”
His eyes widened, with a warning.
“With animal suits on?” You gasped, beaming at him as he shook his head. “Now wouldn’t you say that’s a little too furry for a Wednesday night?”
“Shut up,” he closed the laptop, making you turn towards him. You rolled your eyes as you bought the bottle to your lips, chugging it.
“Hey, come on,” he took the bottle off you.
“Hey!” You whined, watching as he placed both your bottles on the floor behind him. He took your hands in his warm hands, and you felt an entire zoo go wild in your stomach.
How could he not realise what he does to you?
“Y/n, listen to me,” Jaebum sighed heavily. You studied his face and instantly looked away. He was terribly gorgeous, so attractive that it should be illegal.
And the way he was looking at you... How could he possibly say nothing could ever happen between you when he looks at you like that.
No one ever looked at anyone like that, not unless they wanted to fuck. Im Jaebum looked at you, properly, truly looked at you. He was looking at you with the presence of his mind, not just staring at you while his mind was elsewhere.
He was watching you, studying you.
You didn’t know if friends did that, especially ones you met a few years ago. It wasn’t just you who felt this energy between you. Everyone else watches the two of you too. Always monitoring for a change between the two of you, a classic would they- won’t they.
There were times when you were so close. There were times when you and him were a second away from finally getting rid of this stressful sexual tension between the two of you.
You glanced away from his eyes. You wouldn't be able to help yourself if you kept looking into those melting brown eyes, and those delicate lips.
You would end up kissing him and whose fault would that be? You would have no choice but to blame him and those beautiful brown eyes.
Jaebum tugged at your hand, making you look up at him. You sulked at him, letting him know you didn’t enjoy this. His eyes watched you, even in the dim fairy lights of your room, you could make out the golden streaks in them as if you had memorised the patterns they made.
You probably did. You were always looking into them, or thinking about them.
About him.
You gulped as his eyes darted down towards your lips for a split second.
“Y/n,” he spoke, his voice soft and serious.
“Jaebum,” you sang, trying to be clever when truly you were scared he’ll realise how sweaty your palms were getting.
“I can’t look after you forever.”
You nodded, snorting, “I don’t need you on my ass all day too, Jae.”
“I’m serious.”
“So am I,” you replied, holding his hand now. “I am a grown woman. I have a job and a degree and everything. The sixteen-year-old me would be crying if she saw me right now.”
“She’d be proud to see you live without a bed frame?” He rose an eyebrow.
“It’s a lifestyle choice.” You deadpanned, he bit his lip to hold back that betraying smirk.
“Alright, fine,” he sighed, he gazed down at you. His hands holding yours again, once again, he was holding power in the conversation. “You know we can’t always be like this, right?”
“Yeah, but that’s not happening anytime soon,” you snorted, you tried smiling but you couldn’t. Your smile weakened when you saw that look flash in his eyes.
Pity, it was fucking pity.
“Actually,” he started, and you wanted to stop him. You wanted to send him away before he began. “Emma and I have been getting serious now.”
“Hook up Emma?”
They had been hooking up for a few months now. It was causal, she was just the new flavour of the season. Or at least that’s what she was meant to be, but then she started showing up everywhere.
You open Jaebum’s car door to sit shotgun, she is sitting there. You go to Joanna’s for the weekly Friday nights, Emma is there. You make a plan to go hiking over the weekend, surprise, Emma has made herself available.
You wouldn’t have minded if she was nice, but she was an actual bitch. You saw the way she looked at you. You could see straight through the expression on her face as she kissed Jaebum, making sure you were watching.
His phone dinged beside him, and you could bet your firstborn it was her. You felt happy when Jaebum didn't reach for it instantly.
“She isn’t just a hookup,” Jaebum told you, his eyes holding yours. You felt your heart drop at his words. It hurt to see him so protective over someone else, so much that he spoke to you like that.
Jaebum never told you anything. He would tell you stuff, joke, talk, but he never told you something. He never corrected you off so seriously, not unless it was something important.
Seems like Emma unlocked a new level.
“Alright,” you replied soulless, as you took your hand out from his grasp. You pressed the nail of your middle finger into your thumb-pad to stop the prickling in your eyes. “Don’t get your panties in a twist.”
You both sat quietly for a few more seconds before you reached over him. You felt your chests press against his arm as you grabbed your bottle from his other side. You could’ve moved away, but you didn’t want to.
You felt his breath catch before he held it, exhaling it out softly. You felt its warmth brush against your neck, you wanted to feel it all over your body.
You straightened, downing the whole bottle as you held his gaze.
Jaebum gulped visibly before casting his eyes away. He reached for his own bottle taking a big swig, his eyes not looking at you.
“We’re together, y/n.”
You laughed.
“I’m sorry?” you chuckled, staring at him as if he was losing his marbles. She would eat him up alive, and then vomit it out and make him eat himself up. She would ruin him.
“Emma and I are in a relationship. She’s my girlfriend.”
“Girlfriend?” You laughed, your mind blanking. Your heart speeding up frantically as your body went into overdrive.
Stupid. This whole thing was stupid.
A fucking stupid shit show.
“What are you in fifth grade? Girlfriend?” You snickered at him. Jaebum only stared at you a frown on his face.
“Stop laughing at me.”
“I’m not laughing at you,” you tried to make it better but you couldn’t.
You were laughing at yourself. At how fucking stupid you were, at how you were having a literal mental breakdown right now.
“No, actually I am laughing at you.” You shrugged.
“Fuck you,” he groaned, staring at you with loathing.
“Oh, come on,” you hit his arm, playfully. You didn’t know what you were doing. You had absolutely no fucking idea what to do. What is one to do when their crush is going out with the spawn of the devil, and not even the hot kinda devil.
“No, fuck you, y/n,” he grunted, annoyed, as he watched you who was failing to stop laughing. You weren’t laughing because you wanted to, your body just didn’t know what else to do.
“I’m not laughing at you. I just don’t know how to process this.”
“There isn’t anything for you to process,” Jaebum grumbled, lifting his arms in confused defeat. “Just accept.”
“You don’t need any approval of mine, Jae,” you rolled your eyes as you got off the bed and walked towards the mini-fridge. You needed another drink, another lot more drinks. “You are just informing me, and you have. You know I don’t like her vibes.”
“Oh, stop with your witchy voodoo crap,” he groaned, and you could recognise him roll his eyes. You turned to ask him if he wanted another drink, he just shook his head.
“It’s not voodoo, I don’t chant any spells. Her energy is just off.”
“She’s great-”
“-at sucking dick.”
“Y/n,” he warned.
“Fine,” you gave in. Your phone dinged, and you reached over, smiling at the glowing screen.
Dickdown 9/10: You up?
Perfect.
“Are you staying?” You asked Jaebum, inspecting up when he didn’t reply.
You found him staring at you, and you rose an eyebrow, “What?”
“Who’s that?” He narrowed his eyes.
“It’s none of your business,” you smirked. You needed to fuck Im Jaebum out of your system. There was no way you were going to spend tonight sober, and drinking alone would be worse.
And spending the night with Jaebum would be just sad mostly.
“Are you kicking me out?” He smirked at you, teasing.
“Well, Emma isn’t here to kick me out, so...” you trailed off.
“Alright, fine,” he got grabbing his jacket. You watched as he put it on, before running his hands through his hair.
“Bye, Jae,” you whispered.
Jaebum looked down at you, his eyes soft as he sighed, “I wish you weren’t so much trouble, y/n.”
You didn't say anything and only smiled up at him.
“Goodbye, y/n,” Jaebum leaned down, kissing your forehead.
You watched him walk out of your room, the door closing behind him.
You let out a shaky breath as you wiped the tears that slipped from your eyes.
“Fucking hell,” you muttered before downing the second bottle.
You reached for your phone.
Get here in 15 mins.
Dickdown 9/10: Five ;)

Cracking the egg on the side of the bowl, I whisked in the diced carrots, chives, bell peppers, and red onions into the omelet and poured it onto the pan. It was Saturday morning and I was distracting myself from my impending doom by cooking.
“Breakfast on a lazy Saturday?” Claire yawned. Tying her bird’s nest of a bed head into a makeshift bun, she clasped her hands over her heart in an exaggerated manner. “My best friend is truly the best.”
Laughing at her antics, I flipped the omelet and slid it onto her plate. She pressed her hands together and bowed forcefully before digging in.
“Slow down,” I chuckled, pouring her a glass of juice. “You’re going to choke on a piece of carrot.”
“I will die a happy fat bunny,” she said with a full mouth. Crinkling my face in fake disgust, I wiped the corner of her mouth with a napkin and laughed.
“What time are you leaving?” Claire asked, taking a break to sip her juice. “You don’t want to be late for your study date.”
I glared at her slightly but couldn’t help and laugh at her wiggling eyebrows. Shaking my head, I sighed and began doing the dishes. “It’s not a date, Claire.”
“Well, what time are you leaving? Hello? Earth to Y/N?”
“I’m leaving in—” I craned my neck to glance at the living room clock. “10 minutes.”
She crammed the last few pieces of egg into her mouth and quickly got up to snatch the dishes from me. “Go go go go go-”
“Claire, it’s okay—” I chocked through my laughter. “I’m not going to be late, don’t worry.”
She responded with grumbled words and spat out a few pieces of onions and bell peppers. She then chewed, swallowed, and then paused before resuming to talk again, now much more understandable. “Just get there early and wait while drinking some coffee. I’ll do the dishes and clean up, so go!”
Rolling my eyes, I glowered at her before changing, then was practically thrown out of my own apartment. Living at a ten-minute walking distance from the college made Claire and I grateful, but also forced us to go to classes every day, as we didn’t have any excuse not to. The only exceptions were the rare instances that we got sick or class was canceled.
The entire stroll to campus was filled with anxiety and light panic, to say the least. Would I be able to control my temper around Mark? Was he even going to be there? Did he know I was going to be the one helping them? What if I get mad and lash out on everyone else in the group? Swallowing my worries, I shut them out and found myself already at the entrance.
The door to the coffee shop jingled open and I was surprised to see that it was pretty empty. There were a few regulars huddled in their groups, but the usually bustling weekend scenery was now quiet and calm. Greeting the cashier, I ordered 8 iced coffees and brought them to the largest group table.
“Idiot,” I facepalmed. “What if they don’t even drink coffee?” Getting up and grabbing packets of sugar and cream, I placed them in sets along the drinks and waited. Almost immediately, the door opened and a group of guys walked in, the tallest locking eyes with me.
“Y/N!” Jaebum greeted, the guys following him as they all walked towards the table. Everyone wore smiles and cheery grins except for Mark, of course.
“Wow!” BamBam squealed. “You bought us drinks?”
I nodded and smiled in response, all of a sudden feeling shy for some unknown reason.
“You shouldn’t have,” Jackson wailed.
“And she laid out the cream and sugars for us,” Youngjae awed.
Shuffling into their seats, Jaebum sat on my left and Jackson sat to my right, organizing the circle table so that the seating order was me, Jackson, Youngjae,  Jinyoung, Mark, BamBam, Yugyeom, and Jaebum. Of course, the cheeky bastards had arranged the seats perfectly so that Mark was sat directly across from me, causing him to shift uncomfortably in his seat.
“I’m Yugyeom by the way,” the new face introduced. “I was sick on the first day, so my apologies for the late greeting.”
“Oh, it’s alright,” I smiled, grateful for his cheery and polite demeanor. “My friend told me about you guys.”
At this, everyone looked at me with their eyebrows raised in surprise; even Mark.
“Yeah, she’s a bit of a fan.” Rubbing the back of my neck and forcing laughter, I prayed that someone- anyone- would change the topic.
“So that means you really didn’t know who we were when you first met us?” Jinyoung asked with wide eyes. “Woah.”
“That’s so cool!” BamBam laughed. “We haven’t felt that normal in years.”
The group erupted into a warm fit of laughter that helped me relax a little bit.
“Sorry about that, I don’t really listen to—”
“Don’t apologize,” Jaebum assured. “You don’t have to know who we are. If anything, it feels nice when someone gets to know you for who you are, not just for what record label you’re signed under.”
“Or how handsome you are,” Jackson added.  “Or how much money you make,” said Youngjae.
“Or your savage personality,” Jinyoung quipped.
“Or how adorable you are,” Yugyeom and BamBam said in unison, high-fiving each other but then earning a smack on the head from Mark and Jinyoung, respectively.
“I’m glad I could help with that,” I giggled at their impish nature, but then I remembered that we still had to study. “Should we go over the lecture notes?”
Nodding in unison, I started going over the key points from last week’s abnormal psych presentation, I couldn’t help but notice how calm Mark seemed today. He hadn’t glared at me, yet- and seemed like he was actually somewhat paying attention to my makeshift lecture. Almost as if he was refusing to meet my gaze, he never made eye contact with me for an entire hour and kept his focus glued on his notebook. We took a few breaks here and there and talked about each other’s personal lives more. Apparently, they were attending as undeclared majors and taking a few classes that they found interesting.
Once we got to the topic of their lives the year before, I was nearly taken aback as they talked about it as if it were a live-action movie. Their idol lives sounded even more hectic and unbearable than a working college student’s; constantly being watched by the public eye, not having an inch of privacy for themselves, pushing through grueling daily rehearsals with extra training hours, and not even being allowed to do normal things like date or go out to parties. Add on the pressure of meeting their fans’ expectations and feeling as if they would never reach their own? No wonder some celebrities felt so miserable in the spotlight; it seemed like glamorized hell.
Meanwhile, my less interesting pre-college life involved working overtime to help my parents pay rent and bills, spending weeks on end staying up late to keep up with my part-time jobs and extra homework; I even missed out on prom because I couldn’t handle any kind of large social situations or loud parties.; my anxiety always ended up getting the best of me.
“We can’t lie and say that we don’t miss it,” BamBam said, “It’s tough, but we still love it a lot.”
Jackson and the others nodded in agreement. “I gave up everything I had set up for me just to become a trainee; fencing and a full scholarship to one of the best colleges in the world, but I wouldn’t have traded it for a thing.”
“Sometimes I really do wonder what our lives would have been like if we went to college and grew up like regular 20-year olds...” Yugyeom pondered, sipping his drink in deep thought.
“We probably wouldn’t have even gotten to meet each other,” Youngjae responded, making the guys nod their heads at the realization.  “And we wouldn’t have gotten to watch you kick Mark’s ass on the first day of school,” Jackson chortled, choking on his coffee as Mark punched his shoulder. “Hit me again, do it—I dare you!”
Suppressing my laughter and looking down into my hands, I blushed. “Yeah. It was-” I paused, trying to think of an appropriate word.  “—an interesting introduction, to say the least.”
The guys started laughing again, pointing and teasing each other about their first impressions that day. Glancing slightly up to Mark, I saw that even he had a hint of a smirk playing on the edge of his lips. Taking this as a sign that I was hopefully getting on his neutral side, I felt myself relax a little.
I couldn’t tell if it was because of the caffeine rush or how much I’d been laughing, but my face was now bright red and I was on the verge of tears. Not to mention their constant sibling-like bickering and childish insults made them the literal definition of ‘grown-up children.’
After three more hours of discussing the history and progression of psychotherapy, what typically would have been a group of mentally exhausted college students was instead a bundle of vibrant 20-year olds. Normally, I would have been completely drained and ready to knock out, especially considering it was a Saturday, but for some reason, I was much more energized and awake than I was earlier.
"Regret coming back to school already?” I asked them, scanning across their tired faces and chuckling to myself.
“We can’t all be like you, Miss Einstein,” Jackson sighed with his hand pressed on his forehead like an actor in an overdramatized aspirin commercial.
BamBam was practically sleeping on top of Yugyeom. “The professor is more merciful than you,” the youngest remarked in a sleepy voice, snapping awake when Jinyoung scowled at him, probably sending a telepathic message for him to wake up before he was killed in his sleep.
“The devil works hard, but Y/N works harder,” BamBam’s voice muffled through his sweater that was now pulled over his face.
Jaebum was the most awake out of all of us, which I found surprising considering the fact that he had been the one who had paid the most attention for the entire cram session. “How about we all celebrate our first official day of hanging out like normal people by going out for dinner?” he offered.
The guys all eagerly agreed without giving it a second thought, then turned towards me to confirm that I was also going. “I’m not sure—”
“Please?” Yugyeom whined. “You deserve it the most out of all of us.”
Jinyoung and Jackson both nodded enthusiastically; Jackson was clearly the more fervent one. “You took time off of your Saturday to tutor seven single brain celled idiots; it’ll be our treat.”
“Please?” Jinyoung even pleaded.
“You even bought all of us coffee!” Youngjae pouted.
“Your roommate should come too,” Jaebum encouraged.
“Okay!” I finally agreed, holding my hands up to shush their seemingly never-ending badgering, and began packing my stuff up. “But I’m paying the next time I help you guys.”
Giving each other high fives, Mark finally decided to speak. “You’re tutoring us next time too?”
I blinked a few times before processing that he had actually spoken for the first time today, and to me of all people. “Ye-yes. Yeah. I mean, if you guys- only if you’re okay with it. Me. Helping. Studying?”
My cheeks flushed bright pink again. Why was I stuttering so bad today?
He didn’t respond, only making a small ‘hmph’ before closing his notebook.
“There’s a really good place barbeque place two blocks from here,” Youngjae mentioned as he and the others rushed to chuck their belongings into their backpacks. “We’ll meet you guys there!”
Before I could ask him what he meant, the five imbeciles- minus Jaebum- were burning across the floor as they dashed out the door. Looking to Jaebum with my mouth wide open, he gave Mark and I a quick wave and a tight-lipped smile before following them out—the only one of them to actually walk out like a sane person.
Mark wore the same expression as me but scoffed as if it were a usual occurrence. When his eyes locked onto mine, we both repelled like opposite poled magnets, then he resumed gathering his things.
Deciding to break the ice and be the mature one, I tried to start a conversation with the temperamental prick. “Do you know what that was about?”
Mark only shrugged. I wouldn’t have given up this easily, but something told me that he wasn’t in a mood to be bothered today, so I thought it’d be best to just let him be.
“I guess I’ll see you at dinner.” Not wanting to test his or my patience any further, I said goodbye and marched out. About eight strides out of the coffee shop, a pair of hands suddenly grasped me by the shoulder and spun me around.
Mark had his lips pursed and discomfort was written all over his face. Gently grasping his hands and taking them off of my shoulders, I stood there with my arms crossed and gave him a look of expectancy, waiting for him to talk or walk away.
“Well?” I finally blurted out. “Did you forget something?”
No response; just a puckered lip and fixated stare that was directed to the ground. After a few more seconds of him with his hands crossed behind him and swaying back and forth like a toddler, he spoke.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled apologetically.
My eyebrows knit in confusion at his sudden apology.
“For being such a dick to you the first time we met and for acting like a douchebag the second time.” His hands rubbed the back of his neck, appearing to be a habit that showed when he got nervous. “–and for waiting this long to apologize.”
I pressed my lips together and tried to resist the urge to grin, smile, chuckle, or even giggle. I gave it my all, but a small snort came out of my nostrils that then turned into a full-blown fit of laughter.
Mark’s eyes were wide open in shock and he was utterly speechless at my reaction.
“It’s okay—” I choked, wiping the edges of my eyes that threatened to spill tears. “It’s really- it’s- it’s okay!” I pat him on the back lightly while still wiping my damp eyes.
“You’re not mad?” he asked with his jaw-dropped.
My snorts had finally somewhat subsided, giving me a chance to breathe steadily again. “No, I’m not mad. At least, not anymore.” I placed a finger under his chin and helped him close his still-agape mouth.
“I’m not going to lie and say that I wasn’t mad before, but I tried to understand where you were coming from. You lived a completely different life for so long before coming here, so maybe you’ve never dealt with someone as standoffish as me or as similar to you.”
“But I thought you—” I held my hand up, stopping him from overanalyzing anything further.
“You were rude. I was rude. It doesn’t take a therapist to see that we both have issues managing how we feel things and let them out, but it’s fine. As long as you don’t act like a dick for the remaining time being, we’re okay.”
He opened and closed his mouth a few times, struggling to find the right words to say. “So, we’re—good?”
I nodded my head, giving him a small smile and another pat on the back. “We’re good.”
“Thanks...” he mumbled and rubbed the back of his neck again.
“If it makes you feel any better,” I whispered while leaning closer to him. “I hate apologizing first too.”
Just as he was about to falter his words again, I began skipping excitedly to the dinner rendezvous. Pausing to look behind me at Mark who was standing still and looking at me wide-eyed, I motioned him to follow me. “You said you guys were paying for dinner tonight, remember?” I shouted, ushering him to walk by my side again.
Snapping out of his daze, he nearly ran into a bench before catching up to me.

Trigger warning: Cutting.
“Yugyeom I need to tell you something.” Mark hyung says walking up to me as we walk back to the dressing room. “What’s up hyung?’ I say adjusting my navy red and white striped tie. “Well you know how N/Y Noona was…you know pregnant.” He says voice getting soft. “What do you mean was?!” I ask standing up my eyes becoming wide. He stays quite not knowing how to tell me what I think I already know. “She…” He starts but I hold up my hand not wanting him to finish. “I’ll be home late.” I tell him grabbing my phone off the charger. I leave the building the cool fall night air hitting me. I can’t believe her, she hasn’t talked to me in over a month. It’s like she doesn’t want to be around me, even when she is at work she always trades me off with another stylist. How could she not tell me she was pregnant and even better yet tell me she was going to kill our child?
My heart pounds at the thought of the woman I love not wanting me in her life. I run as fast as I can to her house my baby blue suit jacket flapping in the wind as I run. The cool air messing up my freshly died hair. I reach her place standing outside the old building with the large double black iron doors. I feel my legs being to shake as I pace my hand on the door to open. “AISH!” I call out pounding my fist on the door gritting my teeth my head dizzy and thoughts clouded by anger.
I inhale sharply trying to stop my tears from falling. I pull my phone from my pocket called her number, I place it to my ear after hitting call and it rings once before going to voicemail telling me she locked my number. I yank open the door shoving the phone deep in my pocket. I give a slight bow to the man at the front desk as I make my way to the stairs. I take the steps three at a time my heart pounding so loud that I heart I in my ears.
I reach the door with the numbers 1704 on the door in gold. “Noona.” I say knocking on the door. There is no answer, pressing my ear to the door I hear movement inside letting me know she’s in there. “Y/N please just let me in.” I call into the door knocking a bit harder making sure she can hear me. There is still no answer.
“Noona please just talk to me, I know what happened why didn’t you just tell me?” I call to her a bit louder so she can hear me through the door.
“Go away Yugyeom.” I hear her say softly.
“NO! Not until you talk to me.” I call back my head feeling as if it’s going to pop. I cup my hands around the peep hole in the door trying to see if I see her, and there she is standing there her hair in a messy bun eyes puffy from tears.
“NOONA!” I yell pounding my fist on the door making the gold numbers jump as my hand hits the door.
“You could of told me!” I yell to her. “Did everyone else know but me?!” I ask her trying my best not to let my tears fall.
“We aren’t a couple Yugyeom, it was a drunken mistake..” Her voice cuts through me like a knife.
“THAT’S NOT WHAT YOU TOLD ME?!!!” I yell now pounding my fist harder into the door, I grab the door handle with my free hand shaking the door. She stays quite.
“You killed our child, that was half of me inside of you!” I call to her my voice cracking as my hot tears streak my face.
“IT’S NOT YOUR FUCKING CHOICE!” She screams at me her voice full of pain.
“Just open the fucking door N/Y!” I yell cupping my hands over my mouth to make my voice louder.
“Leave now!” She yells back over my pounding on the door. “I’m not leaving until I see you, until we talk about what’s going on with us.” I tell her turning my body around so my back is now on the door letting my head fall back.
“THERE IS NO US! THERE NEVER FUCKING WAS!” she screams throwing what sounds like a lamp or vase at the door. The loud crash makes me jump turning my body around.
“So all the time we spent together was fucking nothing?!” I yell at her kicking the door chipping some of the paint off the already chipped door.
“I was being nice, I was fucking drunk that’s all it was. Not if you don’t leave I’m going to call my boyfriend.” She says flatly on the other side of the door.
“WHAT BOYFRIEND YOU TOLD ME YOU LOVED ME. WAS THAT ALL A LIE?!” I scream now punching at the door letting out a yell.
“I do love you but as a younger brother. Now leave. I’m calling him now.” She tells me as I hear her push button on the house phone.
“I’m not going anywhere. We belong together it was gonna be me and you.” I tell her whipping my tears away with my sleeve.
How could she fucking do this to me, she told me she loves me. That I was what she wanted…my mind can only recall the good times we had laughing and the first time we made love. “AISH!” I scream out slamming my hands onto my head trying to make sense of anything that is going on.
“You should really leave, now!” the last part of her sentence strong.
“N/Y I love you! I’m not leaving.” I say tuning back around so I can lean on the door.
I exhale a deep sigh as I let my body slide to the floor.
“Yugyeom leave now.” I hear a very familiar voice tell me from down the hallway.
My eyes look up from the dark green carpet to see my leader Jaebum walking towards me.
“What are you doing here?” I ask him jumping to my feet.
“Y/N called me and told me to come get you.” He says stopping in from on me.
“YOU’RE THE FUCKER THAT TOOK HER FROM ME?!” I scream grabbing by the collar of his white shirt.
“Get the fuck off of me!” he yells grabbing my wrist as I spin his smaller frame and slam him into her door.
“”Jaebum I’ll fucking kill you, was it your idea you, was it your idea to kill my child.” I spit out as him slamming him on the door again. I don’t wait for answer my, my left hand dropped from his collar and slams right into his eyes with a loud thud of his head hitting back on the door. My anger fuels my fist as I pound away on his face, the sounds of my fist hitting his nose and cheeks fill the air.
There is a loud crunch as my fist hits his nose once again letting me know I have just broke it. The older male is swing his fits at my ribs but I’m too pissed off to feel anything.
His blood dyes my hands red but I don’t stop swinging. I drop my other hand now hitting his ribs along with his face.
His eyes are glazed over as he coughs getting blood on my pale blue jacket. “You’re a fucking piece of shit, making her kill our fucking child then trying to take her from me.” after every word  he gets a punch to the ribs making him cough more. “Fuck you.” Is all he can muster up to say before he spits a mix of blood and spit on my face. I grab him again this time slamming his body on the floor before I start to kick at the man’s bloody face. His blood splattering my pant leg as I kick him in the face.
I hear the door open and see her standing in the doorway, eyes huge and wide.
“Get the fuck away from him you sick crazy fucker.” She yells at me tears falling from her eyes as she runs to the man on the hallway floor bleeding out. “GET THE FUCK OUT BEFORE I CALL THE FUCKING COPS! I NEVER WANT OT SEE YOU THE FUCK AGAIN!” she screams at me holding the almost lifeless man in her arms.
“But Y/N what about us?” I say broken hearted.
“”WHAT US YUGYEOM? THERE WILL NEVER BEEN A US NOW FUCKING LEAVE!” she screams at me face bright red just like the blood on my hands and clothes.
“Is that what you really want…?” I ask softly looking down at my red hands before reaching for her. She slaps my hands away looking up at me letting me know she wants nothing to do with me.
“Fine…” I say taking off my jacket to whip my hands clean. “Hope your happy.” I tell them holding back my tears until I’m out of the building. I don’t know what to do with myself I just start to run I have no idea where I’m going my feet are just moving. Taking my body anywhere, I don’t want to be around anyone. I look up from the ground and see a liquor store. I walk in grabbing myself three bottles of soju not waiting to talk to the woman at the counter. I throw more than enough money on the counter, then make my way out of the store. I slip one bottle in each on my pants pockets before I snatch the top off of the one in my hand. I put the bottle to my lips gulping it down as I make my way down the now dark streets.
I find myself under an underpass by the river. With only one bottle left my head is light from my drunkenness. I pick up the empty bottle slamming it on the ground watching it shatter. The broken green glass reminds me of my shattered heart. I take another large gulp trying to make my body feel anything but it’s not working. My tears run down my face my nose also running making my face a mess as I think of her perfect face, that beautiful smile I will never see again. I place the half full bottle down running my still red hands through my hair. My hand falls from my head hitting the ground where the broken glass is. The sharp glass cuts into my palm the sharp pain actually feel quite good. I pick out the piece of glass from my hand running my finger over my bleeding palm watching the thick dark red liquid puddle in my palm. It feels like some kind of release. With the piece of glass in my hand I run my finger over the sharp edge giving my finger a small thin slice. It feels so good that I think it’s the first time I smiled tonight. I grab the shard of glass in my hand as I run in down my arm watching my flesh slice open releasing all my stress in the form on my own blood. I take another gulp of the bottle before I give my arm another slice this one deeper than the others.
My vision become s fuzzy as I watch my arm leak the pretty red fluid dripping onto my pants. I hear footsteps off next to me coming closer as my hearing fades in and out. The only thing I see is the stress and pain running from my arm. “Oh my god Yugyeom hold on please.” I hear Mark’s soft voice say to me as he grabs hold of my arms both of them. “I’m…fine…actually …I’m happy…” Is that last thing I say before I vision goes black.

Pairing: Im Jaebum x Reader Genre: Romance, Drama, Mature, Angst Plot: you are getting bullied, and jaebum decides to help you a/n: at this point, i’m literally just writing for me lol. :) but, hope yall like it party next chapter! not edited
You were back in middle school. The dark blue uniform scattering the cafeteria, but you remained in your little corner trying to go unnoticed. You knew it was pointless, you were too big to hide. You stood like a sore thumb, but there was nothing wrong with pretending there was a blanket of invisibility covering you.
“Hey, y/n,” a girl with short bob haircut sat infront of you. You saw a fresh cut on the corner of her lips, and you instantly lowered your eyes to the table.
She was one of them. One of the girl who would bully you. Well she never explicitly did anything herself, but she was always there. She stood behind the group, you could see her from the floor. Her arms folded, her foot tapping with annoyance, and her eyes wondering else where. She didn’t want to be there while the other girls took turns to hurt you. No, it wasn’t that what was happening to you bothered her, she just bored and wanted to be elsewhere.
You had wanted to be elsewhere too. But you both were stuck there. Stuck as tears fell your eyes, stuck as she looked up at sky, stuck as you looked down and closed your eyes as another kick landed on your stomach.
“Hey!” She called out again. Your eyes snapped to her, not sure how to react. “I’m Nora.”
You didn’t trust her smile. You didn’t trust anything that was going on right now. You didn’t even know what was going on. Your eyes scanned the cafetaria unsurely.
“I’m not with those girls anymore,” she shrugged as she stuck her straw into the pink milk carton. “Those filthy bitches have nothing better to do.”
You just stared at her, still unsure of what to do.
She let out a sigh, as she sat her drink down.
“I won’t lie to you. I didn’t leave by choice.” She looked into your eyes, as she talked. She was a fast talker you noticed. Even with a cut lip, there was something bright about her. “They kicked me out because apparently other people having feelings for you is a crime.”
When you didn’t reply, she added, “Jisuen’s boyfriend started to like me. So instead of dumping that son of a bitch, they decided I deserved to be punished.”
You remained quiet, still not sure what to do or say. You weren’t good at this. No one in this school talked to you unless they were telling you what to do or that you were worthless and not good enough.
“It seems like we’re in the same boat,” she gave you a tight smile. “Let’s look after one another. Two is better then one.” She placed a chocolate biscuit on your plate as offering.
You looked at her, searching for any form of mockery but nothing was there.
You slowly lifted up the biscuit and took a bite.
“There you go,” she smiled. She waited for a moment before continuing with a sigh. “It sucks that they do that to you just because you’re pretty.”
You snorted unable to hold it back, making her be taken a back in surprise, before shaking her head, chuckling.
                     ___________________________________________
You stared at Jin and her fresh new haircut, that brushed her shoulders briskly.
“How do you like it?” She grinned, turning side to side outside your apartment.
You stared at her unable to look away. You felt the ghosts slowly creep up behind you. They wrapped their arms around your waist, their sharp tongue slipping across your neck and into your ear.
It sharply pulled you into the darkness that was churning bigger behind you. You could hear it; you could feel it. Growing, planning, getting ready; increasing every passing second. You were scared, you were frightened of where it tangles would drag you and for how long.
You stared at Jin’s face as it slowly started to morph into someone else’s. JIn’s round eyes, becoming sharp, her noise pointy, her lips smaller with a cut in the corner. Her dead eyes stared at you, and you felt all oxygen leaving your veins, leaving you cold.
“What do think y/n?” Her lips scrowning into a smirk, as she tilted her head. “How do I look?
You tried answering. You tried breathing. You tried to move, but you were stuck; unable to move. The branches moved from your waist, crawling up your chest and around your neck; getting tighter.
“HELP!” She screamed. Her face turning into one of horror. Her short hair frailing around her in panic. “HELP ME Y/N!”
Her screaming resided as she smirked hauntingly at you. Blood spilled from her mouth as a new bruise formed on her cheek.
“We’re meant to be in this forever.”
She reached out and held your shoulder.
You screamed jerking the hand off you as you fell on to the floor. You clenched your eyes shut as your lungs burned breathing in harshly.
“Hey, hey hey,” Jin came down infront of you, her voice gentle and full of concern. “Y/n, its okay, baby.”
She sunk down infront of you holding you in her arms.
The branches snapped out of you, the dark void disappering behind you as you slumped onto JIn. You hugged her tight, crying into her arms.
“What have I done, Jin?” You whimpered trying to control your breathing.
“Y/N?!” Jaebum’s body appeared in the doorway, his chest heaving and eyes frantic. They landed on you; widening as a breathe left him.
“What...” he trailed off softly. “I heard you scream so I...”
“It’s okay, JB,” Jin said for you. “I got this.”
You turned away from Jaebum hiding yourself from him and his eyes. You didn’t want to see pity in his eyes for you. You didn’t want him to see you like this.
“Okay,” Jaebum muttered, you heard his hands hit the frame twice, before he walked away.
                    ___________________________________________
“Are you sure you’ll be okay, y/n?” Jin asked as she zipped up her winter jacket.
You nodded before hugging her. “Thank you.”
“It’s okay, y/n,” she gave you a small smile, before jokingly adding, “Damn, sad y/n sure loves to hug. Maybe you should carry that trait over.”
You rolled your eyes chuckling, before walking out with her.
“You didn’t have to walk me out, I know the way.”
“It’s okay, walk will be nice.” You told her, as you clasped your hands in front of you. She smiled in reply, hugging you tightly before she moved away.
“Text me-- call me if anything happens okay?” Jin told you, sternly looking into your eyes. “It doesn’t matter what time it is.”
You nodded, waving as she walked away, before turning the corner.
You turned, about to walk into the building but hesitated. You didn’t want to go in just yet.
You turned and began walking the other way. You ended up at the look out point where your grandma would take you too.
You sat down on the bench, and pulled the knitted cardigan closer around you. It didn’t stop the cold wind completely, but it helped slightly. It was better than nothing.
You stared down at the orange lights staring to light up in the dusk.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been here in so long, Nani,” you said out to your grandma. “I lot has been happening. So much that I forget about it sometimes.
“You remember Jaebum right?” You asked the wind, that began getting chiller as every word left you. “He was here last time with Tuesday. You would’ve loved him. And he would’ve loved your kimchi jigae.”
You smiled softly, before biting your lip to hold back the tears.
“I miss you,” you whispered closing your eyes. “You would’ve been able to tell me what to do and what to say. I am so lost. I don’t know what to do.”
“What’s there to think about? Isn’t everything okay?” A man walking by said into his phone. You stilled for a moment, before chuckling in surprise.
“I guess everything is going well. I am friends with Jaebum, and he has helped with Jenny, and he takes my mind of things.” You muttered a reply, looking down at the dirt, before looking up.
“You would’ve compared him to a prince, Nani,” you said into the wind. “He certainly looks like one.” You chuckled.
“But what if I don’t want to leave,” you looked up to the darkening sky, as stars began sparkling. “What if I don’t deserve him.”
You thought back to the apartment. You thought back to her. You thought back to Nora and her face as she fell to the ground. You thought back to Jaebum looking at you with pity.
“What if there is no happy ending,” you whispered opening your eyes.
Meow.
You looked down to a grey fur ball snuggling to your feet.
“Tuesday?” you gasped, lifting him into your arms. He snuggled in closer making frown, confused. You looked around for Jaebum, but didn’t find anyone.
“Were you planning on escaping?” You cooed, before rubbing your nose against his softness. “Come on buddy, let’s get you home to daddy.”
You bit your tongue as you stood outside to Jaebum’s door.
The cold wind crept up the hem of your long dress, making chills run down your spine.
Tuesday meowed eagerly, almost telling you to hurry up.
You let out a deep breathe, as you knocked on the door. You felt embarrased seening him so soon after he had seen you like that. You wanted to run away, but you knew you shouldn’t.
Something about Jaebum made you want to turn to him. Something made you believe that it would be okay to be with him right now. Something about Jaebum made everything okay.
The door unlocked and a dishelved Jaebum opened it.
His cheeks were rosy pink, his chest heaving as if he had been running.
“Hi,” he greeted you with a toothy grin. “Surprising to see you here!”
You stared at him, as you bit your lip. After a moment, he opened the door wider letting you in.
“Oh, you have Tee!” He exclaimed, his voice super high, making you feel suspicious. You turned around closing the door behind you to find Jaebum’s winter coat dusted with mist.
“Were you out?” You asked, as you walked into the house. You slipped into your pink slippers that Jaebum had bought for you.
“No!” He replied quickly, making you narrow your eyes in suspicion. “I’ve been home all afternoon!”
Jaebum shrugged not looking at you. “Why, something wrong?”
He stepped back and held out his arms in a little taadaa!
The table was set with a ramen and coke, and his laptop showing Twilight.
“Oh wow, Jae,” you couldn’t help but smile, as you looked at him feeling all the tension in your body fade away.
Jaebum scratched the back of his head, as he shrugged.
“I thought a supernatural romantic comedy would be great today,” he breathed in through his teeth, looking at the ground.
“Yes because Twilight is a comedy first.” You chuckled, settling into your place.
Jaebum sat down next to you, his shoulders almost touching yours.
“A true intellectual, as always,” he grinned, hitting play.
It was halfway through the movie when Jaebum talked.
“How was your afternoon?” You stilled for a moment, before biting your lip and nodding.
“It was good after that...” you tralied off, feeling awkward. “Jin wanted to choose an outfit for the party.”
“What did she choose?” Jaebum’s eyes snapped to yours widening excitedly.
“Uh, jeans, a top and a jacket for hers.” You told him, making him frown.
“Wow, such description,” Jaebum shook his head. “But good, dress warmly. You’re like a popcicle.”
You scoffed at him before turning to the screen. A chuckle left you as Edward called Bella a spidermonkey and began flying through the forest. Jaebum joined to, pointing something out making you laugh harder.
You sobered up, and sat back smiling. You felt Jaebum’s eyes on you, and your cheeks began to feel hot.
Meow.
You looked over to Tuesday meowing at the door repeatedly.
“She likes acting like a dog nowadays for some reason. I think its the puppy tiktoks we’ve been watching thats influencing him,” Jaebum shook his head. “You already went out for a walk today, buddy.”
Tuesday hissed at him and ran into the bedroom.
“Wait, how did Tee even get out of your apartment?” You asked Jaebum, looking at him puzzled.
“He... must’ve... have...” Jaebum searched around the house. His frantic eyes landing on different objects for a few seconds before bouncing off. Finally his eyes landed on the windows, and you saw the lightbulb go of in his mind. “He must’ve gotten out the window!”
You nodded, as he breathed out satisfied with himself.
You sat back smiling.
Tuesday jumped from the seventh story, and Jaebum is a good liar.
