the premise that The Change gets all messed up for alberto, say it's something that can happen from stress, &/or happens rarely and you just have to wait for it to resolve itself....used as some parallel to struggling through some emotional turbulence / upheaval / questioning / Realizing Things, etc etc

The clownfish blorped surprise at the question

“Oh it’s been years. and years and years. I think.”

The tangled nest of pseudopods That was the anemone wriggled at this news, vexed and toxin-pretty

“I eat fish that get close. Usually. I’m a death-wish in seafoam Fluorescent.”

The fish swam a lazy circle Its body a shrug waved horizontal

It didn’t take its eyes off The anemone as it replied

(but again: read not too much Its eyes were seldom long off its host)

“I know Your cells are harpoons Your body a net. A cavern mouth surrounded.

You are the end of me. Where else Would I go?”

(I should sting it, Thought the anemone   but something in the fish Felt sweet In a way it didn’t Want to devour.)

“Besides, the snacks are good” The fish continued globbing up a corpsescrap “and you kill all those who come hunting”

The anemone sat silent in its lair which was its body

It tasted the decay, wine-sweet In the water.

Its skin was swelched in fine algae draped in the little life, growing

Things had been good For years. And years and years. Quietly.

I've been thinking about how you've made Talas' physique even MORE powerful lately. And now I'm just imagining him, one-armed, chucking Graves like the world's angriest javelin at their common enemies.

That's genuinely so in character that I had to draw it. Average hunting tactic... and Graves would be all too excited for it, honestly

I really loved In Deep dreams Between the Waves, I just felt the connection with eclipse with the words, and I would like to fish on a shore.

I made these doodles in the course of drawing because I'm unable to concentrate on one thing.

thinking abt a game where you play as ghost hunting fishermen, trawling dried out lakes and seabeds for the ghosts of ancient marine life that are causing trouble for the creatures that live there now

long haul trucking + fishing + cowboys + ghost hunting

For Regimen he'd probably try to do something REALLY grandiose, try to give him a country maybe?? Let him hunt christmas enthusiasts for sport?? Either way, Tom will fight him and refuse anything he gives him, you know, unless..[SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER ASK INTERRUPTED] In Stay, when they were younger (and dating) Tord would let Tom bring him to concerts he likes or go bar hopping with him as his drink spotter (lmao) and basically just go wild in the city.

When they're older though, they more or less start winding down. I like to think that by the time they're in their 40s, they'd rather just spend calming quality time together on their birthdays. Tord would bring Tom out on dates (in disguise), let him just wander wherever he'd like since they mostly spend time at base or at home, so they don't get to sightsee much. Near the end of the day, Tord has the tradition of bringing them out to sea (private yacht baby!!!), to where the sky is clear and full of stars, and maybe far from shore but close enough that they can still see the city lights blinking in the distance. Its nice to leave all their problems behind on land, and Tord loves just watching Tom relax and stargaze, it fills him with so much warmth, and a twinge of regret that he couldn't really give the love of his life a more peaceful life like this. Still, he'd pull Tom close every time, tell him he loves him, listen to him laugh and call him a sap, because he wouldn't trade this life away for anything, as long as Tom was here, and happy, he'll fight to keep what they have no matter the cost.
