Unrelated to The New Future, but since you like the Hinanami (Hajime/Chiaki) pairing and since their English voice actors are Johnny Young Bosch and Christine Marie Cabanos, you might also enjoy an anime called Hi Score Girl, which recently got a Netflix release. Bosch voices the male lead Haruo Yaguchi, and Cabanos provides the "grunts" for the mute female lead Akira Oono. The anime is a romantic comedy about a boy and a girl who meet in an arcade as rivals, but their relationship grows deeper.

Woah, High Score Girl? It's been like 5 years since I really thought of that manga. I really loved how accurately games like Street Fighter 2 and Final Fight were represented. That manga is absolute gold for retro arcade game fans.

I even have an Oono Nendoroid!

This thing was going for like over $80 at the time, but that year I went to Japan and found the same Nendoroid in Japan for like 4,000 yen. It was a total steal, so I bought it on the spot.

((Unrelated, but to the mod, if you enjoyed Johnny Young Bosch and Christine Marie Cabanos' performances as Hajime and Chiaki, you might enjoy an anime called High Score Girl, which got a dub on Netflix. Bosch voices the male lead Haruo Yaguchi, and Cabanos provides the "grunts" to the mute female lead Akira Oono. It's a romantic comedy anime about a boy and girl who meet in an arcade and get off to a rocky start, but gradually learn to expand their horizons. So it combines romance and gaming.))

When Will Hi Score Girl Season 3 Release Date ?

Hi Score Girl is an anime series that focuses on romantic comedy. It was released in 2018. This anime is broadcast on Netflix and takes us back to the 1990s. The first two seasons were closely followed by nostalgia and fans of old games. Based on Rensuke Okikiri's manga series, the series is now animated. Is Netflix renewing the series for a Hi Score Girl season 3? WHAT IS THE PLOTLINE FOR HI SCORE GIRL? Yaguchi Haruo (6th grade) was a gaming addict and lived in the '90s. Haruo, a student with poor school grades and who lives a very normal life, finds it irrelevant to spend his time at the arcade. He lost to the mysterious opponent at the end of the day after eliminating all his opponents in the best game he could play. Oono Akira is the class's most beautiful, popular and wealthiest girl. Haruo and Hidaka Koharu will be entangled in the game world's adventures that began here. There were many games that were popular in the 1990's like Final fights and Street Fighter 2. The anime, which featured the music and images of arcade consoles like TurboGrafx-16, Virtual boy and arcade halls, attracted the attention of gamers and nostalgia lovers. WILL THERE BE A THIRD SEASON OF THE ANIME? At the time of writing, J.C. Staff and Netflix have not yet renewed this series for a season. It can sometimes take many years for anime to be refreshed for a new season. This is something we're used to in the anime industry. It is possible to consider the last season of the series relatively recent, as it aired on Netflix in April 2020. We expect a renewal announcement or cancellation of a new season to be made soon. Hi Score Girl Season 3 Release Date The second season of this anime had a twist, and fans are eager to see what the third season brings. Ono Zaibatsu's daughter, she is wealthy, well-known, and multi-talented. She is subject to a lot restrictions at home, so she uses her talents and plays there. Although she doesn't like speaking, she formed a strong bond with Haruo. Both Sayumi Suzushiro and Kohei Amasaki voiced the characters.
