Looked through some old art and saw this kinda finished piece, changed a couple small details, and thought I'd upload it as is

Theory: Alastor's got some daddy issues himself and his butting into Lucifer's song was less about him actually viewing Charlie as a daughter (though I do think he has some genuine fondness for her) and more about sticking it to someone he views as a deadbeat dad.

Grass and blanket patterns from IbisPaint, slightly edited by me.
Happy 2nd anniversary, Jwcc! This show is so dear to me.
I got a suggestion to draw campers in a sleeping pile sometime ago, but failed to do it then. So I decided to use it for the anniversary drawing. Though it's more of a sleeping line.
Day and night version, because my original idea for why they're asleep outside was star gazing.

also i got too distracted by the butterfly tattoo to realise this as i was reading it but i just realised that when maia is first introduced, she explicitly mentions she doesn't like to wear dresses and even goes as far to wear cargo pants to a formal event (the celebration at the end of CoG). simon also considers this one of the main contrasts between her and isabelle, who dresses hyperfeminine even when it's not exactly appropriate.
HOWEVER, then the next time we see maia at a formal event (luke's engagement party), she IS wearing a dress! at first it kind of struck me as odd and i just thought it was a plot hole lol but then i realised that after they found out simon was two-timing them, maia and isabelle hung out a lot and became quite close, meaning it was likely isabelle who got her to be more comfortable in feminine clothing :') very sweet

The resolution to shadowheart's quest is so sad 😭 I love how both her and Lae'zel can learn that their upbringings can steer them in directions they may never want to go. Shadowheart's faith in Shar would have meant the death of an innocent woman, and Shadowheart finds that she cannot fully embrace loss as a means of fulfillment. Lae'zel finds that her Goddess is a lie, that her whole religious foundation is built on rocky ground, and that in uncontested adoration of Vlaakith she may destroy countless lives in the process. By choosing the most difficult path they prove that their confidence and unshakable resolve speaks louder than anything they could achieve as followers of uncaring, cruel Gods. But in doing so, they lose the only communities they've ever been a part of... They continue to fight for the sake of themselves and others in spite, or maybe because, they were raised to become pawns in this game centuries in the making. The cycle ends here!

okay so fun fact: of the genshin characters currently playable, 26 of them use the short female model. and do you want to know the second most used model? its the short male model with. 16 playable characters. the short female model has at least TEN more characters than any other, with 14 more than both the tall female and tall male character models and 19 more than the female child/very short woman character model. which. hm. just something to think on ig

Something something Jesse’s first appearance in terms of release order was The Deserter and in that episode he takes command in Rex’s place cause Rex is injured and he’s trying to protect Rex in contrast to his final appearance, Victory and Death, where he once again takes command but this time it’s because Rex has been branded a traitor and he’s trying to kill him.
Furthermore, something something Jesse has armor markings in The Deserter but when he briefly cameos in Practice Makes Perfect his armor is completely white meaning he hasn’t painted it yet meaning the first chunk of that episode takes place before The Deserter and thus would be his first appearance in terms of timeline order. So his chronological first appearance has him shooting at Ahsoka for training purposes, again, in contrast to Victory and Death where he’s shooting at her for real.
So basically no matter which way you look at it his first appearance is a really fucked up parallel to his final appearance.
