Aloha, all! Here's my latest Generation Gap comic strip as featured in the Hawaii Herald.

The story behind this strip: I was working on the comic doing my normal last-minute start-4-hours-before-the-deadline routine, then after 3 hours, I realized that I had been working on the wrong strip! Instead of working on Generation Gap, I had been working on Calabash! I was panicked as I only had an hour left and no ideas. However, I somehow managed to come up with a quick comic strip, although I was almost having a heart attack.

BTW I also apologize to those whom I butt-dialed before - lol

-Many of you have heard that Generation Gap will be ending with the shutdown of Hawaii Herald in December. Hard to believe after 20 years of strips.

One source online cites “if burning the kadomatsu at home creates hardship or danger, like people who live in apartments, it’s perfectly okay to dispose of it the modern and acceptable way, by placing the kadomatsu in a plastic bag, sprinkling it with salt, and securely closing the bag for disposal into your garbage bin. That’s not the tradition but it’s OK, the gods will understand.
