Fresh news: Read the new Avyra 622 review by The Ear HiFi Music Gear
Tumblr media
🔊 Fresh news: Read the new Avyra 622 review by #Theearhifimusicgear - Author Trevor Butler.
Here are some highlights:
"Before packing these delightful speakers away, I thought about the dozens of designs which I hear, many at this price-point, but deem unworthy of a review because they simply are not up to the job. The 622s remained in my system, either side of the TV screen, as I went through my usual diet of drama, news and current affairs, and live classical concerts. At no time did I feel the urge to take the Morels out of the system because they never failed to not only satisfy but also excite. They did everything I wanted of them, and did it just right."
Tumblr media
"This is a lot of speaker for the money...Confident of its design standards, Morel offers an impressive five-year warranty against manufacturing defects."
"...In the Avyra 622 we have a well-engineered, solidly made and superb sounding standmount speaker at a very competitive price, it is very highly recommended."

I’ve just had this 1979 stereo amp returned from the local repair cafe, fixed, cleaned and working after being in my dad’s loft (1999-2016) and then my basement after he died, following 20 years of use.
Specialist repair places had quoted me £250 for the repairs more than once, but the old bloke in the community centre repair cafe ended up charging just £8 to compensate for the parts, despite it taking him 10 hours to fix.
I’m so overjoyed to have it working (seamlessly with my modern turntable and speakers because analog things are the best), for it to have been from such a great community enterprise and because it sounds absolutely brilliant.
My previous memories of it were just being told not to play with the buttons, because they’re extremely satisfyingly clicky. The original turntable and tape decks died and the speakers were in poor shape, but I’m happy having this last bit working like new.
