In the end Aleksander has to accept that Alina will never be Luda and will never “see” him for him. She will never want what Luda wanted unless he is out of the way.
Pretty wretched. But realistically, this is set to teach a lesson. We can’t all want the same things. We’re all built differently.  Whilst I do find Alina bratty most of the time, she said she did not want to be Amplified, Luda does.  I really do think Aleksander unconciously believes Alina is Luda and he is protecting her bu giving her what she wanted. So when Alina denies him her loyalty and love it’s more than just a slap in the face.  Yes I do want to hug him.

AMPLIFIERS
Finally made a guide for the Amplifiers, the Vani's assisting machines that allow them to attack or otherwise affect large areas in various ways!
I may update it over time with more information, but as it currently is, it should be enough to kickstart some Amps of your own!

Do you think it is possible that Darkling knew that alina would lose her powers because of the three amplifiers and he would be there so he would get those powers?
It's an interesting question, but I don't think so. There's a technical aspect here, which is that he did not get her power, only otkazat'sya did, so on that level if he'd known how the amplifiers actually worked he would have known he wouldn't get it. But that aside: more than anything, he wanted someone to suffer eternity alongside him, and when he lost his mom, Alina was the only other option. He was bereft when she lost her power. He would never have sacrificed a companion for more Grisha power; he would never have let her sacrifice that.
Additionally ... I do not see him as particularly wanting more Grisha power for himself. I view him as pragmatic, or at least thinking of himself as such – if Alina wasn't going to cooperate with his plans, controlling her power was the easiest thing. If he'd wanted more Grisha power, he would have tried the amplifier trick long ago.
Related conspiracy theory time: my headcanon here is that he believes himself to be close to the limits of Grisha power – he's a powerful Grisha and an amplifier, and he lives sooooooo much longer than anyone else except Baghra. The two of them are far, by far, the most powerful Grisha in the trilogy. Because we are told over and over again that the only thing that can kill immortal Grisha is their own power, my headcanon is that he's never tried getting an amplifier (or risked connecting to one like he does with Alina) for fear that the sheer volume of power would push him past some invisible threshold of power that his body can hold, and kill him.

do you think kraizen would have their own variation of battlebots? like pitting robots against eachother for funsies, be it robo-brawling or maybe stuff like AI completing puzzels
OH THEY VERY EXPLICITLY CANONICALLY HAD THEIR OWN VARIANT OF BATTLEBOTS!!
95% of their machines were all custom-built, so the pipeline of utility machines -> entertainment machines was nearly instantaneous. the bot arenas are the "youth" and less stressful genre of arenas for them, as no actual kwaiz are typically hurt in them (as opposed to ACTUAL kraizen arenas, which did also exist)
there were different challenges and themes, as well as different restrictions, that each tournament and such had to follow. one theme may be that you're only allowed to bring a three-legged bot, or be inspired to bring a bot that specialized in shooting streams of acid or coolant, or your robots must be able to fly/levitate.
in fact, a lot of these machines had Amplifier qualities to them...

“I knew what had to come next. That isn’t true, said a voice in my head. You can walk away. Leave it be. Again, I had the sense that things were moving too fast. But I couldn’t just throw an amplifier like this back into the sea. The dragon had already given up its life”

“This was like nothing I’d felt before. It was an animal, a creature of infinite fire that breathed with the stag’s strength and the sea whip’s wrath. It coursed through me, stealing my breath, breaking me up, dissolving my edges, until all I knew was light.
Too much, I thought in desperation. And at the same time, all I could think was, More.”

i need to talk about this, because you don't have to do this! i have a little $20 chip amp running to passive speakers and it is my favorite audio setup in years.
Tumblr media
this amp has no bluetooth, just lots of power into 4ohms with minimal distortion. you can find little class D chip amps for $20 that have bluetooth, but this TDA7498E is everything i needed so it's what i got. i had to add a power supply of my own but those are everywhere. regular ass speaker wire runs from there into
Tumblr media
a pair of jbl control 1 pro speakers. they're cheap, about $120 for a new pair. i got mine used for like $80. people get rid of them all the time when they upgrade. they're a favorite junk speaker of every venue. they sound great above 100Hz, they literally rattle my floor, cheap as they are they come with wall mounting hardware. only downside is at 4ohms they can be a lot to power. which is why i got the little chip amp and not a used AV receiver off the classifieds. perfect little things, otherwise.
you don't have to get any of these little expensive smart speakers that call the cops and can barely fill a room! you can do the thing i did! or you can get a whole ass stereo console, they still make them! or you can get a used console anywhere people get rid of things! or you can make your own thing! we've been sending voltages down wires to make sounds for over a hundred years, you can do it however you want and nobody can stop you! you're grown!

Do you think if Alina hadn't run away from the Little Palace darkling would've let her kill the stag? Or did he always planned to collar her even if she'd stayed loyal?
I can see arguments either way! I tend to write him where he was always planning to kill it himself because there are convincing (to him) reasons to do so – it'd be hard to trust a total unknown with that power and he never prioritized gaining her trust, which you would think he might have if he'd planned to convince her to go along with *checks notes* mass murder.
That said, I do think there are some interesting theories about why taking the power himself would have been a last resort. My favorite two are both revolve around the oft-repeated fact that powerful Grisha can only be killed with their own power: 1) There is the possibility that killing an amplifier and giving it to someone else would inadvertently create another Grisha with his own power who could then use it to kill him (and, ultimately, it did). 2) The other possibility was suggested by the show (not intentionally, lol, but it got me thinking): he's worried that he is already so powerful that if he gains any more power – whether via taking an amplifier himself or via taking power from an amplifier he gives someone else – it might pass the limit of what his body can handle and kill him. We are led to believe that when he kills an amplifier and gives it to Alina, that that's the first time such a thing as this has ever been done – if it were less risky to him personally I think he would have tried it before. It's only worth him risking everything when he feels like it's all on the line anyway.
