A - Attribute: What brought on this side of them? What made them click?

It was most likely the sheer fascination he has with his darling. He wants to know literally everything about them, and thanks to his royal status he can do

B - Blood: If they're extreme how messy are they willing to get?

Very, very messy! Kouha isn't afraid of getting his hands dirty a single bit, but even then he does need to cover up his tracks. He'll happily slice and dice his poor victims like mere butter, and this will only make him more excited for his next kill, no matter how annoying his target may be.

C - Cope: Do they try to deal with this jelaousy sooner or later or do they lash out?

He is jelaous is passive in a way. Whenever he feels like someone is a bit too close to his darling, he will just sluggishly put an arm around their elwaist while playing it off like he doesn't care. In reality though, he is more then furious as his poor s/o is being crushed in his embrace, and there is nothing they can do to stop it.

D - Death: Do they feel any sorrow for their victims at all?

No, absolutely not, and why should he? He makes it crystal clear that s/o is his, and his only, and he therefore expects everyone to obey that. But not everyone listents to him and if they continue to pester or flirt with his little darling, things won't be so smooth for the other party involved...

E - Earnest: Are they intense?

It depends on his mood. On some days, he's calm and happy, dare I say normal. He is not lashing out, no one is hurt and this is the best Kouha can be. He is smiling, he is more then happy and he is just downright sweet to his love. But it can be easy to get a rise out of him, and there is no going back after that. He's sadistic and enjoys inflicting pain on his s/o which really can go out of hand if he is really mad.

F - Fight: How would they feel if you fought back against them?

He might enjoy it, believe it or not. Well, only at the beginning that is. Kouha adores the fire in his darling, he likes seeing them mad and angry, that is why he teases them so much in the first place! But he will expect total obedience from his s/o at some point. His little pet better learn to behave by then because things might just become messy othervise.

G - Game: How much do they enjoy watching you run and have a fearful expression?

Oh, he would love every second of it~! He loves the hunt, he loves the game, but most of all, he loves all of the adorable faces his darling makes, but one of his favorites is seeing them scared. Kouha just finds it so utterly irresisstible, he just can't help but yo hurt his s/o even more just because he loves that look so much!

H - Hell: What would be your worst experience with them?

Ah... Well, it would most likely be his first jelaous outburst. A male friend got a little too close for comfort and Kouha dragged his darling to his room. Everything that happened later is somewhat blurry, but s/o will never forget the sheer and raw pain they felt the entire time. It's a trauma that would be difficult to heal, and if s/o is smart enough, after that outburt they'll know betger then to disobey Kouha ever again.

I - Iron: How emotionally stable would you be throughout the events that unfold?

It all depends on the darlings will, but after a certain point they will crack. It is just difficult to live like this, having to please any and all of Kouha's whims...

J - Jet: How fast would it happen for them to go yandere?

It would take a while for someone to pique his interest, but once that is done, he will become a full blown yandere really damn fast. He has the power and money to immediatly take his darling and he will pull a few strings along if he deems it necessary.

K - Kill: Would they ever hurt anyone in order to get to you?

Oh you bet he will. No matter how well behaved his darling is, Kouha will most definetly leave a trail of blood behind him. This will most likely happen at the beginning of the relationship though because Kouha is unsure of who he can trust. After a few months though, the kill count will drop but under the condition that s/o obeys his every rule.

L - Lonely: How much loneliness would they feel if you two were apart?

He would be so lonely, and so dramatic about it too. He most likey won't see his s/o for several days straight, sometimes even months! That is just too much for him, and Kouha always becomes so needy at these times. He wants his little s/o back, and he wants them now-!!

M - Might: How agressive would they be towards you?

His mood swings can be so extreme, it can be hard to tell. One moment he is carresing s/o's hair, the next moment he is slapping them for dissobeying. It's a absolute whirlwind being with Kouha, and no one can predict his actions.

N - Next: Would they ever move on after you?

He would find that pretty difficult to do, nearly impossible almost. He has never felt like this before, and he doesn't want this love to go away! If his s/o died, poor Kouha would become so depressed, he won't be himself anymore...

O - Opression: How many rights would they take away from you?

It all depends on s/o's behaviour. Of course, he will take away their freedom but if they are good to him, Kouha is more then happy to reward them. If his s/o is more patiemt and sweet towards him, he'll be kinder. If they keep on persisting, Kouha will need to become even more strict.

P - Prize: Would they consider this a game?

Sort of. In a way, Kouha does see this as a game of cat and mouse but he can get serious when the time calls for it. Again, it all depends on his mood.

Q - Quality: Would they be secertive or flashy about what they do?

He is flashy is a subtle way. He is both proud to have his darling, but at the same time he does need to tone it down simply because of his imperial status. If the chance arrises, he will show off and brag about his s/o to others, but other then that he can be very low key.

R - Rain: Would they keep you inside forever?

He most likely would! Nothing makes him happier then coming back home for a long and tiresome battle then to run off to his sweet s/o who is waiting for him in his chambers! He might let his s/o out on special ocassions, but that's about it.

S - Stalker: Would they stalk you? How intense would it go?

He wouldn't really stalk his darling, and there are two main reasons for that. The first one is that he just doesn't have time for that and the second one is that he simply doesn't need to. He can always just tell his guards to not allow his s/o to leave the pallace grounds, or if they were extra naughty, he might even lock them up!

T - Turmoil: Would they force you to team up with them?

In combat? Never. In chosing what to eat for brekfast? Definetly! Cute, domestic things are Kouha's favorite things to do when it comes to his s/o, and he will be more then happy to let them chose what they will have for dinner or what to wear.

U - Usage: Would they use you to get what they desire?

No. As twisted and cruel he makes himself look, he does have a soft spot for his darling amd he would rather chop his own head off then to use them in that kind of way. The only thing he wants is them, and nothing else.

V - Version: Would they do anything diffirent from the classic yandere?

Well yes and no! He is still rather bloddy and grusome, but what sticks out about him is his power and royal status. He is a metal vessel user, it would be insanely difficult to beat him, so anyone in their right mind wouldn't dare to oppose him.

W- Wild card: A random yandere headcanon.

If his darling does behave at least a little, he'll be more then happy to spoil them. This is something that he just loves to do, and he wants to do it more often! If his darling misbehaves though, certain benifits will be taken away from them.

X - Xenophobia: How much would they get angry from their jelaousy?

Really, really angry like dear God, help-! Jelaousy is not an emotion he is familar with, and combined with the fact that he can slice pretty much anyone in half for merely insulting him is a deadly combination!

Y - Yandere: How many crimes would they commit?

Quite a few, but not so many to gain country wide attantion. He is still a prince after all, and he does need to be careful even if he can clean up and dispose of his mess...

Continuation on modern gay star wars AU/Part 2 I guess. This really needs a title

((Part one here))

Anyways, Ahsoka doesn’t remain a six year old, and soon she starts school.

She quickly befriends one of her classmates, Barriss Unduli, that she knew from before, playdates and all that

But another person she knew from before was her sort of aunt but not really, Asajj Ventress

Asajj is the niece of Dooku, the cousin of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan’s sort of first cousin once removed

(I won’t even bother looking up what that makes Ahsoka)

Asajj was abandoned early in her life, and moved from foster home to foster home for six years, before ending up at her uncle's place, half a year before starting school

Dooku, just like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan (And the rest) fought in a war, though not the same one, together with his brother.

After the death of his son, his relationship with Kenobi became strained.

But now Dooku lives with his niece and his very angry pug Grevious and tries to keep as good contact with his brother as he can.

His brother is named Mace Windu, also war veteran, though he suffers from heavy PTSD

He too had a soldier child, a daughter named Depa, who unfortunately passed just like her cousin.

The father of these three (Including Asajj’s unnamed mother) is Yoda, an extremely old man who speaks in riddles and metaphors and refuses to die

Asajj, aside from Qui-Gon and Depa, and two other cousins, Savage and Maul Opress.

Savage and Maul both grew up in an extremely abusive household with their mother, Talzin.

Savage is the older, and is extremely protective of his brother who is not always mentally there.

Maul, the younger of the two, is the same age as his cousin and met both Ahsoka and Barriss through her, a couple of weeks after starting school.

Surprisingly, Barriss and he clicked quite well, and in turn he befriended Ahsoka as well, though the two of them have more of a love-hate relationship

Savage on the other hand found a friend in a scrawny boy named Feral, who he for some reason took a liking too. Just like with his younger brother, Savage will protect Feral with his life

(Yes I ship the two of them leave me alone)

Anyways, back to the skywalkers, because now the twins have grown, and holy shit do they look different

Ahsoka’s theory is that someone saw Leia on their doorstep and left Luke after her

But anyways, the twins quickly have the family wrapped around their fingers, with Leia being a daddy’s girl and Luke a Papa’s boy.

Padmé is also around a lot with Satine, being godmothers and everything, and she managed to learn Anakin how to braid Leia’s hair.

She also tried with Obi-Wan, but he is literally incapable of doing it.

Wait did I ever go over what the space gays actually work with?

Whoops I did not

Obi-Wan is a lawyer, because of course he is!

(After the war I went back to New York, I finished up my studies and I practiced law)

Anakin on the other hand is a mechanic where he worked specifically with motorbikes

One of his best work buddies is a woman named Hera Syndulla

Let’s talk about the only straight ship here, because I actually ship these two

Hera is a french woman, who again is a mechanic

She is happily married to a cop named Kanan Jarrus, an orphaned boy who wants nothing to do with his extended family

His mother is Depa, in case someone didn’t figure that out.

The two of them accidentally made their home a foster home for three kids, Garazeb Orrelios, Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger.

Garazeb, or just Zeb came from a large family, where he was the oldest brother.

His heritage is originally Italian (If someone knows what the Lasat’s are inspired by, please tell me, because I just got a lot of Italian vibes from him. Dunno why), though his family moved from the country a few generations back

He lost his mother, father, and four younger siblings at the age of eight in a fire

He pretty much immediately ended up at Kanan and Hera’s, where he was reluctant for w long while, until Sabine

Sabine lost her family at six back in Australia, and she was then moved to the US after a few failed foster families.

Hera and Kanan happily welcomed the troubled and grumpy child

She got along with Zeb though, so the two had each other as moral support.

Ezra, unlike the other two, was stumbled upon on the street by Kanan, trying to steal his wallet. Kanan, as a police, of course had instincts that kicked him and grabbed the boy harshly by his arm

Ezra was nine at the time, still young and fragile, and Kanan saw the broken look in his eyes, the same one he’d had after losing his mother.

So he, by everyone's surprise, took him in.

And now the very odd family was completed!

Oh, and they have a cat named Chopper. Basically only Hera likes that cat

And Obi-Wan has a pet lizard named Boga

Ok old ask... Sorry I didn't answer immediately, because even though I have a lot of elaborate headcanons, my mind straight up blanked for several days seeing this question. Are you ready for the answers because a lot of them involves Elves and Trellis

Trellis was the walking encyclopedia in his village. It's a big pain in the ass walking all those stairs for knowledge, so if they want to know something, they'll ask him

Navin has ADHD. More on the inattentive type. No I will not explain this accept it

Humans aren't the original settlers of Alledia. The Elves were there first

Trellis's mother is trying to save Trellis, and thus was raised by her at his first 5 years, before being adopted by his uncle and is raised at their village

The Elves have the Six Monoliths. These are the main cultures upon where its many subcultures cam from, although a more accurate description is that there is one main culture, then branched off into 5, which then branched off even further and even intersecting one another. They represent Gulfen's values and beliefs. These indigenous people involves the same village where Trellis was raised

One of them are a warrior-based people, upon which many of their battle philosophies are based. They are also where the Elf King wears a mask comes from. Every individual in that village wears a mask of their own design and making to represent their "role", and it can change every time. Hence, why the King's role is unique. They are indiscriminate towards other people, and have no qualms of adopting other races, and has been known to adopt humans to raise as their own. They only have one word for parent, but has 65 words for weapons. They also believe in fighting only if it's necessary.

Another group of people are where Elven crafting skills came from. They believe in sharing what you have, and helling those who need help, and often create crafts to help disabled people, if said disabled person wishes so. They also believe the intergration of arts and sciences, and how both aren't inherently independent of one another. They express disdain over Windsor's use of bots and Cielis's robot working force. They feel like they only built those bots not because of appreciation for artificial intelligence, but because "if they could get away with slavery, they would".

The other group is one that values animals and nature. They believe in valuing all life, and to be thankful of your blessings. They are one of the last true hunter-gatherer societies. They show their appreciation towards animals they hunt by making sure to make use of what they have to offer. They believe that one shouldn't take more than what they could give, and hated that animals are used for war, as they are "companions", not "weapons"

Another group is one that honors history through performance art. Be it dance, music, oral storytelling, sign language or the most basic, written down. Many of Gulfen's history, be its most simple and peaceful to it's bloodiest and cruelty, are preserved thanks to their work. They believe in the preservation and the dynamic of culture, and the honoring in one's past and ancestors. That a tree cannot stand tall with its roots cut, and that the imperfections and wrongdoings are the most important lessons. They believe that a person only truly dies if their names are no longer spoken, be it in a negative or a positive way. This people have since then been wiped out since the current Elf King's ascension.

(headcanon that this is where Trellis's mother came from)

This group this time are nomads. They believe in one must be versatile and open to what the world has to offer. This is a source of their inspiration for art, bearing complex and beautiful designs, the most main medium being sewing. They employ geometric and natural designs, taking inspiration from whatever they experience. They have a certain metaphor that the world is a tapestry, and its many threads are the countless individuals that has woven in it, creating its complex, beautiful and terrible designs, and it weaves on and on. They believe in finding value over the simplest things, and one's peace can be found through humbleness and contentment. They are pacifistic

The last is probably the people in the village where Trellis lived in. They are the main culture, so they other five took at least some aspect of it and based their own culture around it. They represent the Elve's values of peace, love of community, righteous combat, value of nature and history, and the honor of one's memories and ancestors. Unfortunately the Civil war and the 50 year war has twisted all of their beliefs into twisted degress so they are all pretty chagrined, and have faced opression since the time of Levitas. There are more subcultures of course, but that's too long

Emily if fine with broccoli but hates cauliflowers, for some Reason

Stengard is sorta like,,, the church of Gulfen. It is also a subculture of the nature/history/nomad people. They call upon the ancestors for wisdom, and that is where the heirs to the throne are "baptized". It's a theocracy, basically speaking, with a High Priest/Pristess with holy guards and other religious followers. No they are not fanatics. They're pantheists. The structure of their building is that there's a lush garden at it's base, an elevated artificial river surrounds it, above it is high openwindows where they feed birds, and within it, is a fire that is never put out, only covered when mourning the death of a King or at war. Maybe I'd draw this (did anyone get the atla reference or). They have nearly the same design as Cielis, because they were built around the same time period and that sort of architecture designs were all the rage among elven architects

Let's ignore canon and let's just say that Riva was there when Cielis lifted itself and left the outsiders (the elves, the people affected by the Kanalian curse, and more) to be killed by the Elves. Hence why "Cielis" was burnt to the ground. A lot of people died, but instead of the outer ring dying out, it became the foundation for a mixed culture and a diverse city filled with oppressed people seeking to find refuge. It became a powerful city after the war and replaces Cielis as the capital of Windsor

After the war, every country hated Cielis because of the shit they pulled before, during, and AFTER it

Did I mention I hate Cielis? Yeah I hate Cielis. The architecture slaps tho

Riva's entire family was wiped out during the shadows invading Lucien because of either being possessed whenever they try to retrieve resources from the sources, or sickness from underground

Max became friends with Layra when he defended her from a bunch of racist kids. He got in trouble with his father because of it, but has spent every time with her family since. He considers them his real "family"

Max has a fascinatiom with Elven culture, in fact, a lot of hangout with Layra involves her talking about stories and whatnot about it

Back then, Kanalis has a huge issue with predator-prey instincts kicking in whenever someone is slowly getting transformed. It has a bloody history as a result. Thankfully a new medicine was invented that kept these instincts in check. After the war, the Council investigated, and finally broke the curse.

Many of the elves from Trellis's village didn't recognize him when he came back. "what happened to your face??" "Scratch that, what happend to your hair"

i guess i got some shit to say

On May 25, 2020, a 46 year old black man has been murdered for being the suspect of a 20 counterfeit bill. George was put on the ground by a police officer who put his foot on his neck for 7 minutes straight and was announced dead shortly after.

This has been topic that every single person all around the world is talking about, whether you like it or not, the murder of George Floyd is every hard to ignore. It has put many people to come to realize that racism all over the world is still happening.

I have chosen to write about this subject because i have been feeling this extreme urge to write about it, I would like to share the things that i’ve learned through out the years of being a privileged white person. I would also like to acknowledge that i am a 19 year old girl who has never experienced racism what so ever.

I am very aware of the fact that i am only responsible for my own behavior, i can’t change anyone, i can only try to inform people and inspire them. I accept that. I’m writing this because i have no expectations and i am doing this because i feel like it’s my duty to do it, not because i want results. As a white person i feel like it's my duty to do this because clearly, black people have had enough. Black people are tired of trying to explain these issues to us and i feel like it's our duty as white people to speak up and do it for them. It is our job to educate our white brothers and sisters.

I am aware that awareness is an unstoppable progress. Sometimes, people just lay in bed and wake up one day and have the urgue to do better. I am very aware that people have to make a change about this subject by themselves and i have no power to make them change.

I am also aware that a real racist, knows very well that he or she is a racist and think that that’s fine. I have no intention to talk to those people, i have way more interest in talking to people who want to tell me their side of the story and is open to see things in another perspective, i wanna talk to people who want to do a peaceful discussion with me. But if you are a person, that in 2020, still thinks that it’s okay to use the N word as a white person, than i think by now you should have come to realize that that’s not okay and i suggest you to stop reading. However, if you are not one of those people but do have questions about why people are rioting because of George Floyd, why reverse racism does not exist (but racism does!) and how racism is defenitly still very active in The Netherlands, please hear me out.

What is happening in America right now, and who are these rioters?

As i informed you at the beginning of my paper, the United States of America has been put under the eye for the whole world to see. On Tuesday the 26th of May a video came out of a white police officer called Derek Chauvin arresting George Flody, a 46 year old black man, for being accused of buying sigarettes with a 20 dollar counterfeit bill. Mr. Chauvin was kneeling on the back of mr. Floyd his neck while he was pleeding for his life and gasps his final breathes on this planet. On the video you can see that there is a big crowd around the officer telling him to stop. ‘’’He is not moving!’’ a man yells, but mr. Chauvin continues with looking away from the camera and looking down at mr. Floyd while he takes his life away. Mr. Floyd his death has triggered major protests in the United States and has sparked rage everywhere the country. But why the rage?

Mr. Chauvin has faced charges and is conficted with third degree murder. Third degree murder is essentially depraved heart/implied malice murder, a third degree murder is UNINTENIONAL killing resulting from extreme reckless conduct that manifest a wanton disregard for human life.

If you are a bit like me and saw the video of mr. Floyd being murdered, this was clearly not unintentional. Mr. Chauvin is putting his knee on the neck of mr. Floyd, i think it’s a well known fact that if you put a heavy subject on someone else their neck, they will suffocate. Not only was this move highly unneccessary, but this move is banned by most police departments. The police apartment of Minneapolis policies states that an officer can only do this if someone is ‘’actively resisting’’. George Floyd was not actively resisting, he was faced down, hand cuffed and being murdered. So why did the police officer only get 3rd degree murder? Could the prosection have charged Chauvin for intentional murder? Probably. George died at 8:24 p.m. and at 8:27 pm is when mr. Chauvin took his knee off mr. Floyd his neck. They were told to check his pulse after he stopped moving, but they still kept on going for 3 more minutes. This was not unintenional killing.

Now, with all of this information i hope you have an idea of why people are protesting against Chauvin his case. This has not been the first time that a case like this has happened in the United Sates. Since 2015, over 1,200 black people have been killed by the police. Black people are 13% of the US population but make up for 23% of the police killings that have found place in the United States. Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman, who announced the charges against Chauvin, acknowledged the difficulty of bringing charges against police officers and has said that ‘’This is by are the fastest we have ever charged an police officer.’’ It has been made very clear to me, that the United States does not threat their black citizens equally. In fact, they choose to murder them.

A lot of US citizens have chosen to peacefully demonstrate, but there have also been people that choose to riot and start looting. Do i agree with rioting and looting? Absolutely not. Do i think that they gain something by destroying innocent stores like Target and Mac donalds? Absolutely not, in fact people that are rioting are taking a big risk to get shot by a rubber bullet, or getting tear gassed. So why are they doing it? How does one person get so mad that they just start destroying everything in their surroundings? I think with all the context i gave you earlier, you might have guessed where i am going to. The awnser is: years, and years, and years, of oppression. The United States has gone from slavery, to Jim Crow, to the civil rights act and lets not forget about the prison summary. Black people in the United States have been treaten unequally throughout their whole lives. The prison summary in America is an continuation from the compulsion labour which was first called slavery and now takes place formulated as ‘’You are smoking a joint on the street’’ since smoking a joint is why the majority of black men are prisoned in the United States.

The people who are rioting and looting have had enough. White people need to understand the emotional ties that black people have been making with eachother thorugh out history. Historically seen they have been sepirated from eachother, and through out time, that has made an huge connection between them. If a black woman from Amsterdam, goes on an holiday to Minneapolis, it could have been her. The fact that she is a Dutch citizen, wouldn’t have mattered at all, She is black. She is a target. It could have been her.

He called me a stiff white girl, why isn’t that racist?

Ah, reverse racism. I can not explain how many times i have had this discussion with my fellow white friends. ‘’Why isn’t it racist to call out white privilige?’’ ‘’He rejected me because i was a white girl’’ ‘’I wasn’t able to join their group because i was white’’ These are one of the many sentences i have been told after i tried to explain people that reverse racism is not a real thing. Racism can not go in reverse. Why? Because racism is an opressive system in a system of disadvantages that black and brown people do not benefit from. I would call reverse racism similar to oppression. Oppression is a special kind of problem, it is very restricting and it has higharicle and power behind it. Its a top down system.

If a black person says something bad about a white person, as harmful it may be, its NOT RACISM, even if the insult is race based. It’s not racism. Why? Because we made the systematic uniform of automatic social power influence. We as white people have built this system. A black person calling you out on your white privilege is not racist. Yes, these words have an emotional impact, but you are not losing anything because of it. You are privileged, and you can just move pass it. But if you insult a black person because of their race, they can’t move pass it. Because if a white person insults a black person because of their race, that would go along with the system that was build in this country called racism. Whether you like it or not, Racism is an insidious cultural disease. It is so insidious that it doesn’t care if you are a white person that likes black people, it is still going to find a way to infect how you deal with people who do not share your skin color.

The reality of racism its that its very deep in the spain of society. It goes way further than hateful comments. Yes, racist slurs about skin, hair, accent, eyes and religion play a big part in it. And yes, white people have the ability to feel pain from an insult. But when white people get insulted, that comes from other social problems. It comes from bullying, poverty, sexism, ignorance or pessinism, but it’s not racist. Racism is systematic. There is no experience in being a white person as in being a person of color if you’re talking about racial identity. How hurtful it may be ‘’The cool black kids do not like me’’ is not proof of racial oppression. White people don’t have to worry in their day to day life about being white. White people do not have to deal with teachers expecting low expectations because of their race, White people do not have to deal with being closely followed by security guards or store clerks at a store or mall because of their race. White people do not have to deal with being reject at a job because of their last name. White people do not have to deal with being murdered by a police officer just because they were accused of using a counterfeit 20 dollar bill. Yes, some white people need to think about how they can avoid discrimination based of their gender, sexuality, religion, their social economical status or their disability, but it is not because they are white. And if you only get defensive about these situations whenever there is a political discussion about it, you are very likely to not have experienced racism. If you only find it neccessary to talk about how mean a black man has been to you when racism is named in the conversation, you have not experienced racism.

It is only when you have experienced racism when your whole race has competely been ignored, or the other way around, has been put in extreme spotlight and has been made fun of in daily conversations and has been put in negative daylight in the media. If you haven’t experienced this, you have not experienced racism. Rerverse racism does not exist because i still have to explain what racism is, or don’t explain what it is and listen to another story about how Lucy got bullied for wearing braces in 5th grade.

Black pete is a childs best friend!

Black pete. You have probably heard about it, and if not, you’re in for a treat! At the start of the nineteenth century dutch people have created a feastday called Sinterklaas. Sinterklaar is an legandary figure based on Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of children. The feast day takes place on the 6th of December. Sinterklaas (a white, dressed rich, man btw) enters the country with all his employees called black petes. Every year white people paint themselves black, overdraw their lips with red lipstick to make their lips appear bigger, put on a black curly wig, serve Sinterklaas and call it a day. Black pete is framed as a nice man who gives presents to little kids. Most Dutch people will have an underlying connection with black pete, he is after all the man that gave you little presents when you were only 6 years old.

Unfortonately, not everyone experienced black pete as a fun loving man. Black pete often triggers a lot of bad memories for people of color, they often can’t seem to find the pleasure out of it that most dutch people can. But why?

The thing with black pete is that it’s straight up black face. Black pete descends from slavery, because the first book of Sinterklaas came out in 1850, But slavery in The Netherlands only ended in 1863. Black pete was a slave. People would dress up to make fun of black people and their stereotypical features such as cruly hair, big lips, and sometimes even their accent. Black pete is black face, and not just because they are painted black, they also have the cruly hair, fat lips and big gold earrings.

The whole world is shocked about this tradition and has critized the Netherlands for still celebrating this feastday because they are also of the opinion that black pete is black face. So why do the Netherlands keep celebrating it? Well, i think it’s because most people refuse to let go of this holiday because of their own positive experiences with black pete. Black pete was the funny man who cllimbed on the rooftop of your school. He threw around cookies and gave you presents. Black pete is our tradition, black pete is a part of our indenitity. How dare they, the lowest group in our society, asks us superior dutch people, to change OUR tradition!?

Its either that, or dutch people are very naive and are suffering from a lack of empathy. But racism can not be allowed just because of lack of empathy. It’s a fact that black people are disadvantged in our society. And if you are already in the minority of our society, have less privileges because of your skin color and on top of that you also get made fun of because of your skin color in your OWN country? That’s just not how it works.

Correct me if i’m wrong, but last time i checked dutch people didn’t get threatend to be kidnapped to another continent where they were put on etates where they needed to start working while they had a chance of getting raped by their owners and would simply just not get treated as humans. Dutch people didn’t get torn apart from their families simply because they were dutch. So who are we to say, that we don’t experience black pete as racism? Ofcourse we didn’t! (Luckily so, i wouldn’t wish that to anyone). The fact that the WHOLE world can see this, but the Netherlands can’t is simply because they don’t want to, i find that to be ignorant. But this feastday proves more than anything, that ignorance is bliss.

Ciconia Phase 1 Ramblings

Well, it sure was a wild ride, but I enjoyed it quite a bit!

The whole thing was very Heavy and Intense and Long and a lot of stuff happened. I’m not sure I really digested everything yet, but I have Thoughts.

GOD I spent so much time writing all of this... At first I just wanted to make a short Twitter thread about it, but it ended up a lot longer than initially... 😔

Those are just some messy ramblings and I don't think I said any more new or interesting stuff than what other people have already said, but I still felt the need to write it down, so...

Ciconia spoilers for Phase 1 and the tips:

So I thought overall it was pretty good and interesting! As someone who didn’t play the demos, I went in completely blind, and it was a nice read. (As such the flood of Okonogi memes some time ago were kinda confusing to me at first lol.)

It was radically different from Higurashi and Umineko, but that was something I expected (Umineko was radically different from Higurashi, after all.)

I’m not sure if it’s going to hit me as personally as Higurashi and Umineko did yet, or even if I’m going to like it as much — I enjoyed Phase 1, and the story is really intriguing, but it’s not quite on the level of its predecessors for now. Then again, it is only the first part of the story so it’s a bit unfair to compare them now, and I remember I was far from being into Higu and Umi by just their first installments too. So I guess I’ll just have to wait for the other phases and see!

On a technical level, this is definitely ones of Ryukishi’s most sophisticated visual novels — with the big animations and sound effects during the battle scenes, of course, but also with the numbers of different backgrounds and the visuals for the Kizuna thing. The sprites are also my favorites from all of Ryu’s games, they have the uniqueness of his artstyle all while being more polished and with really pretty coloring. And the character designs are SUPER GOOD — the best of 07th Expansion works to me (well, I was still a bit disappointed in Vier’s design, though. I mean. She’s just Takano with a lab coat. You could’ve at least changed her clothes or something, Ryu.) The music was the only thing that was... pretty average. It wasn’t bad, there was a lot of neat OST in it... but there wasn’t really anything memorable either (Alright, except for Apocalypsis Ciconia II. This one was dope as hell and it gave me chills.)

I was pleasantly surprised by how good and compelling the worldbuilding was too, as personally I find this peculiar part of Ryukishi’s writing has always been one of his weakest points. I don’t know much about sci-fi stuff admittedly, so I’m not sure how that would be perceived by fans of the genre, but Ciconia’s world is still quite fascinating — the different factions, the technology and selcom stuff, the way childbirth is managed or the history of World War III, all of that was good. Although to be honest, some stuff felt kinda contrived too (like, sure, let’s say the entire history of WWIII is entirely erased, like that we don’t have to deal with the political issues of our current real world lmao), and I don’t know all of the histories of the countries mentioned, so I can’t really tell if some things were insensitive (for example, how Africa was “unified” by a single king felt a bit off to me, but, er... I don’t know...)

The more absurd elements like the conspiracy theories, the chivalric orders or the freaking ILLUMINATI KINGS were pretty hilarious, honestly. I’m... not sure what to make of them. Obviously none of Ryu’s stories were ever going to be realistic (and well, the entire premise of Ciconia is about children soldiers who have the strength of an entire army in one gauntlet, which is ridiculous enough), but knowing him I wonder how much of this is going to be played straight and how much of this is meta stuff. Especially with all the religious/spiritual references (the blue bodies of Evil Miyao and of the gauntlet girls alluding to the Hindu god Shiva, Seshat being a Egyptian goddess, etc.)

I have more mixed feelings about the plot, and especially the pacing. Most of it was okay, but some scenes were really dragging and redundant. Which, isn’t really something new with Ryukishi’s writing, but here especially with the political stuff and the long blocks of exposition it was... kinda boring and hard to focus on it, and after a while it even felt quite egregious. Some of those parts weren’t needed, or at least didn’t need to be that long. Especially given that after the first hours, there were not a lot of more peaceful moments that would give the player time to breath.

Which is another one of my complaints: a lot of intense things happened, but the narrative rarely give you the time to actually digest those things, especially in the second part of the story. It often pretty much felt like “X event happen > Discussion of X event between the characters > Y event happen > Discussion of Y event between the characters,” and this without any breaks (with the exception of some exposition here and there in between, of course). The events, discussions and characters were interesting enough to more or less keep my attention, but it still felt like too much at times. Part of this may be volunteer, as it put a stressful and opressive feeling on the reader (God, the clock and quotes between each chapters stressed me out a lot lol), and after a while I really felt like I was kinda suffocating with all of this like the characters — but even so I think it would’ve been better to give us some pauses here and there. Which is something we could have had with, say, the tips. I thought it was a shame all of the sixteen tips could only be read once the main story was over, because the narrative could have really benefited from having them fit into the plot or in-between chapters, like in Higurashi.

Also, I know Ciconia wasn’t exactly marketed as an horror story unlike the other WTCs, but hoo boy, I think some of the sequences in it are honestly among the most gory and disturbing things Ryukishi wrote? I haven’t read Iwaihime or TRianThology, so I can’t really say for sure, but damn, those human factories really are big nightmare fuels...

Now, I think the most tricky parts and the ones who are gonna get the most criticisms are, likely, the whole political and military stuff. Ciconia is probably Ryukishi’s most political and provocative work so far, maybe on par with Rose Guns Days — not to say Higurashi and Umineko are not political, they definitely are, but here it truly is in-your-face. Which is not a bad thing, per se, but... let’s say it all depends on how Ryukishi handle and criticize all those stuff down the line in the other installments, when so far it’s been... meh?

Like, the whole military stuff, specifically, was... shaky, at best. The thing with fiction that portray militaries with soldiers as their main characters is that they walk a thin line between just portraying this thing and actively glamorizing it. The narrative was definitely critical of some of it (lol the whole massacre at the end was very obviously there for a reason), and I appreciate Ryukishi often makes a point in his stories to frame a problem with different persepectives... but the whole “healthy military balance” and “Walls of Peace” thing was still iffy, and I’m... unsure about how much of it is going to be criticized within the narrative in the end. Now, again, it is just the beginning of the story, and Ryukishi has always been good at presenting a thing at the start for later on tearing it down to pieces, so... I don’t know.

It’s way too early to decide what kind of themes and messages Ciconia is going to have, so here too I guess we’ll have to wait and see, but I’m just a bit wary given some things that were in RGD were... definitely questionable. Now I actually think Ciconia got to a better start than RGD, but... well. I’m also not really someone who know much about these stuff, so I’m not the best placed to talk about it, but it’s definitely something worth to be under scrutiny.

On the more positive side, there were times where some things felt really, really real, as well as pretty in tone with some of today’s social issues. Like all those news about the terrible things going on in the world and that a war can happen anytime, the military propaganda to recruit young people who “want to fly” in the army but who just end up killing each other, or the feeling that these kids have about how in the end they’re just powerless pawns who can’t do anything used by selfish old men... I saw someone said Ciconia was basically Fuck Boomers: The Game, and... yeah. Yeah, that’s basicaly it lmao. All of the adults being assholes is not new in WTC or even in Ryukishi’s works in general, but here it was definitely a big theme. God even the whole thing at the end about how the planet is dying and that everyone knows it but people just don’t care about it... lmao, if that wasn’t directly referring what we’re living right now with climate change, I don’t know what is.

I just really loved too the way the game was sort of sold as this “cool sci-fi battle royal,” but in the actual story all of those kids are desperately trying to not kill each other, until the very end where everything just goes to hell.

I said it before, but there really was a huge feeling of suffocating and being powerless the more and more you reach towards the end, and the way everything culminated in this huge massacre truly sent shivers in my back. I know at some points I could really feel for the kids who were like “Well, fuck it, let’s just let all those awful people kill each other and the world get destroyed.” The final scene with the Christmas party was really powerful and also so uncomfortable to read, it was really well done.

Otherwise, if there was one work I wasn’t expecting to scream “LGBT+ rights,” it was Ciconia, but here we are I guess lmao. Honestly, that entire conversation was super neat, not just in a “Oh it’s great they acknowledge gay and trans people exist in a positive way,” but also because it really adds a lot to the worldbuilding. I remember some people talking about it when a similar thing happened in the comics of The Legend of Korra, and honestly more stories should do that, not just in term of representation but because, well, it’s just good writing to put this much thought in your fictional world. The conversation in itself was a bit clumsy (GAYS DON’T FUCK), but it also felt very sincere and a pretty believable discussion a bunch of teenagers with very different backgrounds could have on the subject (and I really loved the narrative acknowledge how different cultures and religions feel about those topics, without it being judgemental.) I’m also thankful it was here at all because of the, uh, gay jokes made about Miyao and Jayden early on that were a bit tasteless to me.

(Now it would be even more great if we could have actual canon gay and trans characters too. Ryukishi... please...... I beg you........)

And of course, the characters were also really good!

It was so nice to have such a big diverse cast all constituted of likeable characters, and I was honestly impressed Ryukishi managed to handle it. That was something I was wary of when the game was first released, but in the end I think he did a good job so far. Of course, that’s only from my point of view, so I can’t say if other people found there were some things he did badly or that was offensive...

But personally, I honestly love all of the Gauntlets kids so much. They’re all so good and charming! And I kinda want to adopt them all lol.

I think my favorites for now are Miyao, Gunhild, Naima, Rethabile, Chloe, Koshka, Rukhshana, and Lingji... But like I said, they are all really good it’s hard to choose!

However... when it comes to their writing I felt Ciconia went in the continuity of Rose Guns Days and concentrated more on the plot than the characters, and that’s something that... honestly bother me a bit. I liked RGD, but Ryukishi’s writing is still at its strongest when it comes to very human, character-driven narratives, like Umineko and Higurashi. Like I said, I love all of these kids a lot, and some of them have pretty solid characterization and screentime... but in the end a part of me still feel like we didn’t really... get to know them much, if that makes sense? Even with the main ones, like Miyao, Jayden or Gunhild — most of their scenes were principally focused on the Plot Stuff, and not much about them as people.

I know there are a lot of folks who criticize the slice-of-life parts of Higurashi and Umineko, where there are lots of scenes of just the characters spending time with each other or goofing around and that don’t do much to advance the plot — and in a way I understand that, because yeah, some of these scenes can be pretty long to get through and drag the pacing. But personally, I always thought those sequences are very important. Even if some of them are admittedly unnecessary or are a bit too long, they’re really needed to humanize the characters and make you invest in them — which was something that was a bit lacking in Ciconia. Basically I guess I’m saying the VN needed more slice-of-life stuff, and that rejoin with what I said earlier — that including some of the tips in the plot here and there instead of putting all of them at the end would have really helped with that.

Now, that said, again I’m aware this is just the first part of the story. I understand Ryukishi needed to have all of those exposition blocks and truly pose the basics of his story first and foremost. So I’m really hoping that after that he’ll be able to focus more on its characters — especially on those who got almost no screentime, like the Yeladot Shavit and Cairo Squad girls. Having characters and human grounded moments is especially important in a story where war is a big focus like Ciconia.

Now, on the characters themselves...

Miyao was a really charming protagonist, and I love him a lot! He was so endearing to me during the whole story. He was instantly more likeable as a male protagonist than Keiichi and Battler, where it took me some time for them to grow on me — principally because, well, Miyao don’t have the shtick of sexually harrassing the female characters around him, which was profoundly annoying in the other WTCs. I loved his serious but caring and friendly personality, his friendship with Jayden and Gunhild and with all the other kids, and his anger against the adults trying to use him and the others. His relationship with his father too was interesting. His interactions with Evil Miyao were also pretty intriguing, even if I’m not sure yet what to think of him being a “murder program” or about what even is Evil Miyao.

Now, the only thing I am on the fence about him is... his whole DID thing and Meow. Like, on one hand, I think it is neat to have a likeable protagonist with a named mental illness, and the narrative felt sincere on not wanting to present this as a bad thing and just a part of who Miyao is... but on the other hand, there were all the jokes made as a result of this, which made the whole thing pretty awkward to me. Furthermore, there’s the problem that this “CPP” thing is not really DID, as if I recall it doesn’t actually seem to come from any trauma-related reason, and is almost a made-up condition? It kinda gave me Kara no Kyoukai flashbacks, in which Shiki, the protagonist, also has an alter, but it is not as a result of trauma or anything — it has a fantasy explanation. And, I mean... An author taking an actual, real condition that a lot of people have to bend it at their will to fit a story isn’t super cool, especially if you’re going to make some jokes at its expense... The other kids calling out Jayden on how he didn’t act properly with Miyao about this was nice though. (Also, now that I think about it, did Miyao just... randomly told all of the other gauntlet knights about it? Wasn’t it said that “CPPs” were something most people didn’t like to talk about? It’s a bit odd.) Plus there’s also the fact Miyao is possibly a “program” and it adds another layer of not-so-great stuff... So I’m just really wary of how Ryukishi is gonna handle this going forward...

Those problems aside, Meow herself was... fine. She’s cute, but she doesn’t really have much going on for her. She and Jayden are dorks together and their scenes definitely made me smile, but their relationship still felt kinda shallow so I don’t have much feelings about them as a couple (like, it’s just that to me Miyao and Jayden have a lot more chemistry and have been friends for quite some time, so it’s just odd that he instantly decides to date Miyao’s sister whom he just met. And, also, he was definitely flirting with Miyao before meeting Meow, too.). It was also pretty jarring the way she just... almost disappears once the war stuff began, so in the end I had this disagreeable impression that she really was just here to be Jayden’s girlfriend, and not as a character on her own or to develop Miyao more...

Jayden was pretty neat too! He’s a character that could be “yikes” pretty easily, but in the end he really did come across as a awkward but kind teenage boy who may be clumsy at times but is still trying his best. In fact, I really wish Ryukishi had wrote Keiichi and Battler more like Jayden. It was nice in general that none of the guys in Ciconia acted inappropriately towards the girls (with the exception of Toujirou, I guess. The way he acted towards Valentina especially made me go “ehh dude please no.” Like I know the LATO girls are said to be older than the other kids so they’re probably 18 or something, but still, it was a bit ugh... But even then it wasn’t something that was too overt, so it didn’t bother me too much), because some of Keiichi and Battler’s antics towards the female characters was something that annoyed me greatly. Don’t get me wrong, I did end up liking Keiichi and Battler despite this, they’re both good kids at heart — but it’s possible to write horny teenage boys without them ~comically~ sexually harassing the girls around them, if you feel me? Aside from that, I like that the story made a point to show that Jayden is actually a pretty lonely and kinda socially awkward kid just like Miyao, and that’s why their friendship work so well. On the other hand, though, his character mostly only turned around Miyao and Meow, and so we didn’t get much of him as a person? Which is a bit disappointing as he is meant to be one of the main kids, so I’ll hope he’ll get more interesting later on.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE GUNHILD, she really intrigue me! I wasn’t expecting to love her so much — for the most part I thought she was okay but nothing more... though now that I finished the story, she’s probably my favorite character for now? Her scene in the restaurant with her sibling, and especially the tips focused on her, really got to me. I loved her cool personality and her backstory was really interesting, as well as her relationship with Miyao and Jayden. She seems to honestly like and care for both of them, but at the same time resent them, and the way she obviously have a lot of pent-up anger towards the world and some self-hatred make her a truly compelling character. I’m pretty intrigued by Maya and her relationship with her too. She’s honestly one of the characters towards who I look forward the most, and I really hope Ryukishi will deliver on her.

Chloe has definitely a lot of Rena Vibes, so of course I was going to love her lol. Although honestly for now I find her mostly... confusing. She’s obviously really fucked up (CHLOEVIL), and she made me pretty nervous during the entire story because there was this “Okay so when is she going to snap?” kind of tension with her. And her last scene with Lilja gave me chills... At the same time, her kindness and caring nature as well as her friendship with Koshka, Lilja and the others felt genuine, so it was an interesting contrast. Other than that I wasn’t a fan of the running gag of Okonogi hitting her whenever she mess up (or do not mess up, for that matter)... Like obviously Okonogi is meant to be a Bastard, but the thing being presented as comical made me go :/ I really wish it’s going to stop.

Koshka was cute and also Extremely Relatable in a lot of ways (I, too, would rather spend my time playing silly games on my phone rather than socialize lmao). I love her a lot, and like Gunhild she really fascinate me. I like the fact that she’s meant to be an asocial, cold person but that at the same time it’s pretty easy to see glimpses of the affection she has for Lilja, Chloe or Miyao, and how she’s actually a deeply traumatized and angry teen. I’m pretty intrigued by what kind of “crime” she must have committed and how she ended up being an “equipment”... Not sure what to think about her super brain or the thing about her being some sort of “chosen one” lol. It sounds really shady.

For Lilja, I have to say I wasn’t exactly fond of her at first, but then the small moments we got with her where she obviously care a lot about Koshka and Chloe still got to me. That scene in the tips where she fiercely defends Chloe made me go “awww.” She really give me the impression of being the sort of person to hide her vulnerability behind a tough façade and her odd tics, and in that way she’s pretty similar to Koshka, which is how their friendship feel really special. The revealation at the end that she’s probably faking a lot of her personality and of her friendship with Koshka because it’s an assigment made her and her relationship with Koshka a lot more interesting to me, and I hope it’s going to result in a lot of compelling character stuffs.

Lingji was great! She’s pretty cool. I liked her optimism and her will to do the right thing, and how that actually cover the fact she’s a pretty fragile and sheltered person. Her scene where she break down after her grandfather’s death is really illustrative of this especially, and where I really felt for her too. I think she’s the most interesting character in term of possible development. I quite enjoyed her friendship with Miyao too, but here again I wish these two had gotten more moments together. Like, how much more impactful the scene where Miyao kill her would have been if we had actually seen these two have some intimate moments before? But, oh well...

Aysha was really cool too, and I especially loved the way her sharp and down-to-earth personality contrast to Lingji’s idealism. The moment where she calls out both of her teammates was super good. Momotake was okay, and I love his intense admiration for Lingji (I’m a sucker for male characters really looking up to cool female characters lol)... but otherwise I felt he was honestly the most stereotypical character of the bunch — especially compared to Lingji and Aysha.

NAIMA IS THE BEST, SHE’S MY BABY I LOVE HER SO MUCH. She was my favorite before I even start the game because of her design alone (SHE’S THE CUTEST CHARACTER RYU EVER DESIGNED OKAY), and I wasn’t disappointed from seeing her actual personality. She’s not especially complex or anything for now, but she has a lot of potential. I loved her relationship with Naomi and Stan too — it kinda felt like two older siblings looking after their annoying youngest one reluctantly, but who still have a lot of affection for them. Also she’s such a little badass, I literally cheered out loud during that rescue scene or during the last battle scene where she screams she wants to protect all of her people. I want more of her in Phase 2 pleaaaase!

Naomi was really overshadowed by Naima and Stan, so as a result I don’t have much to say about her. I think she’s cool, and her backstory about how she apparently lost a lot of her memories and emotions is interesting, but again I can’t say much given we barely see her at all. Stanisław was a good boy, but despite the fact we see him a lot during the story, I... don’t really have a lot of thoughts on him? I liked his implied friendship with Gunhild as them being death metal buddies, but we didn’t actually saw them interacting at all, which was a shame.

Rethabile was the coolest character of the cast, I love her dearly! I like how she can be so adorable and such a dork but at the same time she’s probably the one who has her shit together the most out of all the kids. I feel she really has a good grip on politics and how the adults just want to use them compared to the others — which, well, isn’t all that surprising given she’s literally a princess. The scene with her brother’s death was pretty harsh, and I’m sad they didn’t really... put much attention to her reaction to such a traumatic event. I know the plot hadn’t time for that, really, but I feel even Lingji got more focus when her grandfather died, so I wish we had more of that with Rethabile too.

Ishak and Abdou... well, they didn’t really get much time for them either. They seem like nice dudes, and I really love their relationship with Rethabile, how they tease her quite a bit but there’s still obviously a lot of complicity and respect among them. So I hope we’ll get to know them more, especially on an individual level — as for now they were only present as a duo.

The LATO girls were... interesting too. I especially love Valentina, because she really give me Bad Bitch vibes and I love bitchy female characters lol. It’s pretty clear she has some Secrets and I’m really curious about her goals. As for Maricarmen, I thought she was mostly going to be comic relief like the Yeladot Shavit, but towards the end she actually showed some interesting depth so she did grew on me quite a bit.

And then there was just the teams no-screentime lol. Alright, I guess Suparṇa did get some time, and Rukhi is ones of my faves, but they still were really sidelined. I liked Sujatha, she’s such an uptight idiot, and her scene towards the end where she says she was aware that Miyao’s plan was doomed but still played along for Lingji made me kinda emotional. Rukhshana is the cutest and the greatest — I really liked her personality, how she can be extremely shy but then also completely goof around when she actually trust the people around her. And that moment at the end where she just say to her superiors to fuck off was glorious and one of my favorite scenes. Her relationship with Sujatha and Andry is adorable too. Andry himself was also... not present at all, but I really love the small glimpses of him we have seen, he’s pretty cool. I like how he sincerely seems to care a lot about his teammates despite his aloof character (him protecting Rukhi when their superiors try to hit her at the end was sweet.)

Still, Suparṇa wasn’t sidelined as much as Yeladot Shavit and Cairo Squad, though. I mean, I do like those girls — I adore Gannet because she’s cute as hell, Noor seems cool and Mariana intrigue me, but I can’t actually say much about them. Leah, Fatma and Stephania were also mostly comic relief except for one or two scenes towards the end. So I really hope Phase 2 will remedy to this, ‘cause I want more of these six, definitely!

I’m not sure I have a lot of thoughts about the adults characters quite yet — GERMAN TAKANO cracked me up, but she’s just as great as her Higurashi counterpart for now, and I always trust Ryukishi to write good Terrible Women. Especially Terrible Mothers, which is one of my personal weaknesses. Though I guess it’s not actually been confirmed she’s Miyao’s mom? It’s heavily implied, but we all know Ryukishi love to troll his audience so I wouldn’t put it past him that it is in fact just a red herring, but well, we’ll see I guess.

Toujirou is obviously a bastard, but he’s an interesting one, and I have no fucking idea what is going on in his head. Like it’s interesting that on the one hand he seems to genuinely care about his son, but on the other hand he has no problem manipulating and screwing him over (and the implication of Miyao being maybe just a program is... ooof.) Okonogi was... a bit less worse than in the other WTCs, I guess? He obviously care about the kids in his own way, and him defending them at the end was nice... but I still can’t really feel anything but contempt towards him. He’s still a pretty bad instructor, and like I say, I’m really not a big fan of the way he treats Chloe at all, even if it’s meant to be “comical.”

The Three Kings mostly made me laugh to be honest, and they’re more plot devices than actual characters for now so I really don’t care about them (a part of me even wonder if they “exist” at all, because, you know, meta stuff). I absolutely LOVED Jestress on the other hand! I have no idea what’s the deal with her, whether she’s Lambda or whatever, but she’s really intriguing and her design is top notch and I want more of her. Seshat was so fucking cool and I don’t have much thoughts about her yet other than I wanna marry her.

And that’s pretty much it!

I’m not really good at predictions or at throwing theories around (sorry, Ryukishi), so I’m not sure what to expect for the rest of the story. I guess my only thoughts are that the moles are probably Gunhild and/or Chloe, but then they seem like obvious candidates, so I don’t know. I kinda suspect Valentina too, because, er, I do not trust her at all and she just have that traitor vibe.

I really hope too that we’ll have time loops here again instead of a linear story because... well... I don’t wanna these kids to die okay... I also know that Ryukishi said Ciconia is only going to have four parts, and that’d make sense given how long Phase 1 was... but a part of me still kinda hope we’ll have a bit more... I guess it’s just that only four phases seems really little compared to the density of the story, and I’m really hoping he’ll have the time to develop well all of his narrative points and characters...

In any case, I think my thoughts on Ciconia for now pretty much get down to: it’s interesting and it has the potential to be a really great story, even if it’s far from being flawless and that I’m still very wary about how Ryukishi is going to handle some elements in the future.

But I’d definitely recommand it to people who love 07th Expansion stuff and sci-fi stories, and am very much looking forward to Phase 2!

Bailey is chewing on her stuffed bunny in Jane’s lap as she does a conference with her parents in one of the open rooms. Her phone sitting by her laptop, attention not on her parents and the plans they were making for a wedding that seemed far off, hardly seems like the thing to push right now when she has at least two sisters here at the Summit so far that could be married first. She assumes they get the same long boring meetings with room to get a word in edgewise. A worker touches her shoulder, interrupting her train of thought that was on what she wanted to do when the meeting was done with, she plans to maybe spend the next several hours chasing her girlfriend? No, that doesn’t sound right to her ears, her flower sounds better around the palace walls hoping to get into a bit of trouble because they are young and aren’t meant to be caring about marriage or whatever it is that they should be carrying about. Of course, the trouble Jane has in mind isn’t the kind that would make front page news, in fact, it was more attempting to bake in the kitchen and making a mess that would have to be cleaned up by someone else. The worker asks her if she wants something to drink and Jane is quick to sign back that she wants wine, any kind because she is a free woman that can drink at this age and even with the distasteful look of judgment passing the worker’s eyes, she shrugs it off with a thank you.

When their back is turned and walking to go get it, her phone lights up, causing her parents to change topics accusing her of texting instead of paying attention to something so important. They quickly seem to forget about that lecture in time for Jane to reach out and grab her phone that was next to her computer. She puts in her zig-zag password and quickly finds a text waiting for her. The moment that she reads the words, it was as if ice water was thrown on her. The smile that she had been keeping falters for a second.

ᴛɪᴘ: ʀᴏᴍᴀɴᴛɪᴄ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ɪs ᴀ sᴏᴄɪᴀʟ ᴄᴏɴsᴛʀᴜᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ᴛᴏ ᴏᴘᴘʀᴇss ᴡᴏᴍᴇɴ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ғᴀʟʟ ғᴏʀ ɪᴛ ᴀɢᴀɪɴ -- xᴏxᴏ ʀᴇᴅ ǫᴜᴇᴇɴ. Anyone that is on the food chain should know of this blog and Jane will be the last to admit that she reads that blog like it is the bible, following it just to see what is said about her. Xavier had given her a link to it days before she broke up with him for her duty, her country. Jane felt like she might be sick, her phone gets shut off the moment that she sees the message, eyes focusing back on her parents. Now was not the time to fret, to show emotion to something so little. But she does take a quick look around to see who could be screwing with her. Xavier’s behaviors weren’t known, she never really talked to anyone about it aside from Diana, the one that she had cried too with empty words from the older woman that she was better than him, that he wasn’t going to win, that she was strong. Diana wouldn’t blab though, Jane knows this from the fact that she knew things about the other that no one really knew, they shared secrets or at least sort of did never sharing how truly bad things were on each side. Jane never shared how worn that twenty-one year old made her, how he ripped every edge of the princess and made her feel like she was worthless. She never did tell the other that every sorry is something she believed for a long time, he promised that he wouldn’t hurt her again but he always did but never physically, not in a way that would get her parents noticing. No angry red marks, dark bruises on porcelain skin that could send her parents into a radge, no he left his marks in her mind. The moment the worker is back with her wine, she takes it with another soft thank you and she ends up drinking it faster than a princess should. the moment the meeting is over, her parents saying goodbye in French and leaving the group chat, Jane shuts her computer, leaving the glass on the table.

She puts her laptop in the bag and picks up Bailey, allowing the bag’s strap to go onto her shoulder and she is doing a steady walk toward her room, phone in her packet and she pretends that she isn’t wanting to get ill at the thought that someone knew about it. She wasn’t weak, Jane Elizabeth Grimaldi, the princess of Monaco wasn’t one to let anyone tear her down, she always thought she would never be in a relationship like Xavier’s but she was wrong. the moment she is in her room, Bailey is set on the floor and she is shutting the door tightly, leaning against the shut door and pulling out her phone and turning it back on, letting that text stare her square in the face and she feels like she might just run straight into the arms of Elle, of Regina, and tell them everything but she doesn’t. she feels frozen because her walls get taken down in the privacy of her own living quarters, swallowing hard trying to keep from crying, she shakes her head at the text. This means nothing. It says nothing about him...your relationship from the past is safe. It is just a warning about falling in love, not anything that couldn’t be sent to any woman. She is trying to reason her way out of this but her hand comes up to her mouth to muffle the cries that come, sobs wracking her body making her shake with a vengeance. Bailey comes licking her legs, trying to be comforting, the companion that she had always wanted but it does nothing to help.

Thirty minutes later, Jane had scrubbed her skin until it was a nice shade of pink in an attempt to wash away the mental shame, cleaned herself up and spent the next hour getting ready. Her phone sitting on the Bluetooth charger as if nothing had happened. A blue dress clinging to her skin, something Xavier hated as it was too provocative for his taste as when she had bought it he had hated it. Jane vowed she would show anyone that she wasn’t ruled by a past love. dress hanging on her just right, looking at it and twirling just to see if this was the image she wanted to show the word, she is pleased that it screams put together. Nothing was out of place in her appearance which wasn’t how she felt on the inside.

She takes plenty of photos that night during dinner and even after when she is chatting with others, posting them to Instagram with fake happiness.

𝐨𝐟𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐢: Having a blast tonight. Have plenty of things to share about my love life at a later date.

She is playing a dangerous game posting that as her caption but she is living on the edge. When she gets back to her room after she can’t even walk straight, her feet aching like a bitch she lets her phone sit on her bed as she strips down to just her bra and panties before crawling under the covers. She opens the text up and brings the keyboard up. ᴡʀᴏɴɢ ɴᴜᴍʙᴇʀ. ᴛʀʏ ᴀɢᴀɪɴ. She texts the number, unsure if the person would even get it. She screenshots the message before she deletes the real message and her reply from her texts, phone falling on her chest before she bothers to roll over onto her side and attempt to go to sleep. One thing was clear, she can't let her heart to be involved in this marriage if she wants to survive it.

Dear people who encourage loud sexsists/homophobes/racists etc. to be louder and say more offenissive things

Stop it. You’re not funny. What you’re doing in not funny. It’s pure cringe.

Lets imagine a lil scenario: You’re in a group of friends, you’re joking around and talking. Now, one of your friends says something quite offenssive towards a minority. Rest of you let out uncomfortable laugh and try to move on. But the person keeps on going. Now your friends try to tell them how what they said was offenssive and how they shouldn’t say that. They stay by their point and now it turns into a disscussion, trying to explain to them that they’re being [insert a name of offender of some kind of minority]. Eventually you drop the topic off and move on with the conversation. And then suddenly, that one person, comes into picture and says something like “ hey dude, what do you think about [insert something about a minority they previously talked about]?” JUST to continue the conversation they had and have “more laughs” from it. Now, imagine you’re in a minority that loud person was talking about. The topic dropped leaving you uncomfortable to be around that loud person and now some asshole brought the topic back and the loud person is acting even worse than before. That’s just ass.

I have a classmate that is practically everything you’d expect from a far right polish older person in a body of a fifteen year old. He often goes on and on how gays are weird and P*s is great (”kocham prezydenta Dude is Morawieckiego”) on our class’s group chat. Many people just laugh at it, but when he starts going to far, they tell him to stop or try to put some smart into him. We just switch topics with him and that often ends it all. But then is my friend (that one that “jokes” about Pewds being a nazi, don’t like him that much). He goes and asks that classmate about straight up about the topic we ended. And now that classmate goes once again into that topic, but this time, everyone is already fed up. They tell my friend to shut up and to not go there again, so he stops. But the thing already have been done. The classmate once again goes about the topic we ended talking about and everyone is annoyed (well, at least most of people).

My friend thought it’ll be funny to say something like that, cuz why not. He thought it’ll be funny to joke about that and see how our classmate would go about it.

I will say it - it’s fucking annoying. It’s almost never funny and makes most normal people irritated. We shouldn’t let this kind of people feel free to openly be opressive towards minorities. This kind of acting made me like my friend less and since he also often defends that classmate (even at the times it was clear that he is in the wrong by defending him), it’s even harder for me to call him my friend or anything like that.

If you don’t agree with my statment, it’s fine, I’m up for disscussion if anything. I just, I live in a country where this kind of thing goes on daily and I fuckiing hate it. This whole country is a shit show and doesn’t seem to be getting better.

I’m.... just fucking tired.

Gender Issues

No doubt I can't imagine being a woman in some village and no doubt I can't imagine being a girl/woman in some era before this as well but at the same time now, living in a society like ours about some things I wouldn't like to imagine being a guy as well.

Why you may ask,why you don't even have girly interests you may say. Yes, of course definitey agree to it but as I heard in some talks in the internet about how boys esp. in School are bullied even physically beating up and all that, that I don'tknow for sure if I wanted to experience it. Another thing, now its like if I don't really like something like cooking as a girl then that is just considered as a need for themselves but as a guy if I were to say so then people woupd be lop ke just because you are a guy doesn't mean. Ok for your survival and all that maybe ok fine, but any kind of roles doesn't make sense to me. And living in a progressive society, other things aside, there definitely is less discrimination to some of us because of supportive friends and family but do you think people are willing to accept things right away? So, for this I think we have to get educated in order to be open minded more than education for just some course that you wont be interested in the future as why Schools are necessary.

And lets not talk about old days or what might be later on but what is it now. So as to which I have seen, heard and experienced, I think today women support women to a maximum extent because of being supresed and opressed back in days. Then men support men, here you might say how or why then is man still like ya with some other man having girly choices because I think being a tomboy is comparitively easier than being a straight guy who has girly choices. Then I think men support women because of how women in their lives or in general have struggled and struggle because of men. Then comes women supporting men because its been a long time since women had been and still have been oppressed by men. So basically less women want to understand mens point of view and men start being like women dont understand. As girls/women we also might have said boys are boys but as boys/men I think, I don't know for sure but I just think that more men have more of an ego thing of a woman saying something back at him or sth than a woman saying so which could also be a reason for more crime rates, its just my thought and I don't have much of extensive knowledge but I am just writing what I think.

As to that note, at one point someone had asked me since you support both rights and not really believe in gender thing would you like to continue in this to which I am not an activist and definitely wouldn't like to be one, but I am just laying out my thoughts on how our mentality could affect not just us but our society itself and slowly society to region to country to the entire world.

so i traveled the united states for three years on and off ive been off the streets for 6 months now after being radically touched by my father and having my slavery to drugs alcohol and women broken, i had this chain attached to my soul yearning to find truth and follow in the steps of a brother named Christopher mccandless. alexander supertramp, little did i know this was just a story that the divine master of my life used to get me that much closer to him, i had never been chased or pursued by anyone in the whole world like my father chased me, through sleeping around with women across the country ruining their lives and mine and doing everyday drug possible from meth to weed, and acid and shrooms convincing myself i was my own god and that this reality was mine and i could do what i wanted with it, but death faced off with me every morning in the face of others and in my situation of being stuck in this fleshly prison, the creator thought this through forcing us to stay in this prison cell to truly find a way out only coming to realize in my life he was the way out, i was hiding in drugs day by day hiding at the bottom of a bottle when really all i needed was to hide out in him "he is my refuge" although i walked through the valley of death i felt protectance over me in the scariest ghettos and craziest situations, i lived in hell in a reality of hell for months allowing the god of this world the evil one to blind me and manipulate me through my traumas and wounds of depression rebellion rejection and dysfunctionality, finally he broke through, JESHUAS Love broke through, i was in SLAB CITY when the god of the universe, my papa came to speak to me, he had a messenger waiting there in slabs for me, i was a dirty kid with a dog and a sense and wish for purpose in my life not just wandering forever till i died which was what i was gonna do to prove i was a "man" or a hardcore guy. the hardest man gets broken by this world, nothing of this world is good, this flesh is a hell if your living a life for the flesh, it lives then it dies but i knew there was something eternal in me, my spirit nagged at me daily telling me there was more to this concious reality thn i dare to know. so i searched spiritually through acid and psychadelics, until i started having these awful spiritual attacks about ufos and aliens controlling my reality and a load of garbage all straight from the depths of sheol. someone something was trying to hinder me from finding out who i wtruly was and what im becoming to be and who my "real creator is" see the god of this world the"father of lies" puts blinders on those who are of the world, but when god revealed himself his true self to me everything changed i realized i was being chased and loved by something or someone so much bigger than me, he held my hand while i walked this country and hitched and hopped trains trying to figure out what in gods good name was i here for? an ant on the biggest space rock with a bilion other ants trying to figure out this whole mess too. im telling you it took all my self respect and admitting that i am nothing to finally realize who my daddy is, i hated him and rejected him for years i wanted to live this life my way, not "his" way and thats pepoples problem now adays we dont wanna admit we live sinfully and horribly because we know we'd have to lose all our self respect and our knowledge and everything we worked hard for in this life to get us to where we are in the first place, and to have to ask for forgiveness is our biggest weakness, we think "i dont need your forgiveness" id rather die than ask for it. but is heaven worth a little humiliation? for me yes, i couldnt go a day without his light his touch , paracleto's you are my everything. i made it back to oregon when i had encounter after soup kitchen another one of jehovas messenger of his holy army, his name was brian, he was a tatted up older military vet and he came up to me and my dog taco, i had these georgous dreads down to my shoulders and i looked like a dirty hippie, this false identity and this guy comes up to me and prophecy's my next five months, that id have these divine appoiintments and that id be marked by yawheh which is exactly what happened, that day i was marked for heavenly Purposes and longer the ambitions of the world. I've been sober for two months now and off the streets for 6 with my dog taco, ive been pursuing the lord everyday, i want people to get past their troubles and realize jesus didnt die so you could go to church every sunday and "Act" like you love god, i'd die for my lord i'd die like he died he' says pick up your cross and follow me, jesus means come die so you can actually live, i will live through you! in and through you touching his people and his children who dont know about christ and dont know of kingdom. dont ever let christians who dont actually have an intimate relationship with the king of kings ruin the idea of what a true beleive or baptized in holy spirit person might be like, the majority of the church goes to church to sing hymns and play the part of a goody too shoe christian when they sin every other dya of the week go to church sunday and play with themselves monday through saturday, saturated in the demonic instead of embraced by the king. i got baptized in the HOLY SPIRIT and thats when my life changed, not when i prayed "jesus come into my heart" which still allows the king to come do some work but you HAVE TO BE MADE INTO A NEW CREATION, he needs to touch you, no wonder so many people dont beleive in jesus BECAUSE they have never been touched physically by him becuae CHRISTIANS ARENT DOING THEYRE GOD GIVEN DUTY TO CAST OUT DEMONS AND HEAL THE SICK AND OPRESSED FEED THE HUNGRY not go to church then talk about football and get ready for super bowl sunday. IM HERE TO CAST DEMONS OUT OF PEOPLE AND TO HEAL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND TO GET TO KNOW MY PAPA. how bout you? all creation is evidence that our aftehr created us we have no excuse to say otherwise that this all happened by accident. i asked holy spirit to touch me and to make himself real to me and he did, i walked up to the front of a gathering and this heat and electricity from heaven fell down my arms and i started prophecying in my prayer language emediately broken into tears and laughin uncontrollably . i was touched and hugged by my creator he touched me and told me im not alone through his actions and his electricity. never had i ever realized i was so far from alone in this enormous world. i dare you anyone reading this to call on him" Call on jeshua, the holy spirit to come bring his fire and to touch you and to change your life to forgive you of oyur transgression, to take awyay your pains, tell him to give you an idea of oyur identity he made you for, your destiny. you werent made for you, you were made for him. and the best thing an all consuming god can give you is himself. if he gives you the world he hates you, if he gives you himself he loves you. i love you brothers and sisters thats my story in short. im eternal ill never die and its not by my works or by my deeds is by grace alone that i was lifted out the pit, and i was rescued and enlightened and soon to be in full revelation of who my god truly is. he's more treal than the air you breathe, just dare yourself to knock on that door of calling on jesus holy spirit if he isnt real then you have nothing to worry about, but if he is.. then you have everything to gain. everything in your life to lose to gain everything in him. he's umcomparable to this world you cant compare anything to the life to come after this but whoever your god is here is who youll sever for eternity do you wanna serve an empty beer bottle in hell or do you wanna serve and live and dwell in the heart of your creator? stand with the world and be judged by god or stand with god and judge the whole world. share your testimony with me i'd love to hear from more of my brothers and sisters! god bless you and lets press into him intimately lay it all down and lets get to know our daddy and our big brother. he payed such a price for you to take away eerything you neer wanted, give him your baggage your carrying in life its not yours anymore its his to carry. love love love!
