I drew Pyrrha and Colette's adult designs for the au!! <3 I wrote more info about the au in general, which'll go under the cut
Ok so- following Tira’s attempt at killing Colette and Sieglinde, things were a lot more tense for a while. Tira decided she wouldn’t directly attack again for a while, seeing how the first attempt went, but she was a stubborn woman and wasn’t going to back off so easily. Nobody was aware of it at first, but Tira opted to keep stalking Pyrrha the entire time after the attack, using her watchers to keep an eye on them when she couldn’t physically be there. It was going fine and she was able to spy in peace, initially, but soon enough they started to catch on.
Pyrrha had noticed the watchers, but wasn’t aware that they were Tira’s. She’d found it odd that the ravens would always stare her down, to a point that it made her somewhat uneasy. The birds never hurt her, never pecked at her or anything, but their unending staring was unnerving to say the least. Sieglinde was the one to realize that those birds had to have been Tira’s. They had those same red eyes as hers, and they held a look that was just… wrong. It screamed of malfested energy. Sieglinde held this suspicion to herself, not telling the girls that they were potentially being stalked as she didn’t want to scare them. She did, however, start putting more precautions in place to protect them, and even went as far as to pay someone to teach the girls how to defend themselves, citing the attack as her reasoning.
For the following years, Colette and Pyrrha stuck with it, wanting to be secure and safe without needing to rely too heavily on others. As a way to further help them, the girls were taught about weaponry as best as was possible, in hopes they could learn to use them to further defend themselves. Colette and Pyrrha both struggled with it, but one day a switch occurred for the latter. Upon being presented a sword and shield, Pyrrha appeared to take to the weapons with an amount of grace and ease that wasn’t there with anything else. Sieglinde had pondered that it was as if fighting with those weapons were ingrained in her blood, and she couldn’t help but wonder about Pyrrha’s origins more. While Pyrrha wasn’t a fan of fighting at all, she still recognized that she was excelling with the sword and shield, and decided to stick to it. Colette, unfortunately, was never fully able to succeed with weapons on her own, the little one being much too clumsy and paranoid with them, afraid she’d accidentally hurt herself, or someone else. Being too jittery to properly handle the weapons, her attempts faded into the background.
Colette, being upset and seeing herself as a failure, dove deeper into working on her magic, being determined to be able to do something right to protect those she cared about. On that front, Colette began to make much more progress than before. She surprised herself at how quickly she was learning, though she chalked it up to the direct danger she and her family had been in contributing to the change. After a few years passed, Colette, 15 at that point, had begun to properly get a firm grasp on her powers. She was finally able to conjure things out of thin air, levitate things in any direction she wished, and more. She’d finally gotten control of those wild outbursts of light and fire, though she wasn’t aware at the time of how much damage those abilities could cause. Though, for the time being, she and Pyrrha kept working on their own capabilities, unaware of what was to come.
It was one day three years later when Tira struck again, this time her attack had done more than just cause some scares and a ruckus. One thing led to another, and before anyone knew it, Tira had guided a horde of malfested to completely engulf the once peaceful village in flames and chaos. As the townspeople fled, Tira approached a lone Pyrrha, who’d been separated in the crowds, holding a single shard of the cursed sword in her hands. Pyrrha didn’t trust Tira one bit, backing away as she got closer, but eventually she revealed the Soul Edge shard, and Pyrrha froze. Pyrrha didn’t know what that metal fragment was, but she could feel something deep inside begin to throb in unison with the fragment’s glow. The Soul Edge fragment embedded in her years ago by her mother had begun to resonate with the fragment Tira held, and it made its mark very quickly. Pyrrha was lost, in an intense haze caused by the shard, as it tore through her mind and ripped all of the feelings she’d hidden deep down to the forefront. Very dark ones, ones that’d scared her with how unlike her they seemed to be. She wanted to get away. She wanted this feeling to stop, she wanted this all to stop. The pain towards her, her friend, and the woman who’d taken care of her. She was willing to do anything to protect them.
It was an inhuman, sky-shattering wail that alerted Colette and Sieglinde to Pyrrha’s location. They’d made their way there, through many malfested blocking their way, to find Pyrrha on her knees before Tira. Colette assumed the worst, terrified that Pyrrha was hurt or worse. So, she closed in, attempting to get Tira away from Pyrrha the only way she knew how. She fired her magic at Tira, trying to scare her away, something, anything, but Tira, through her spying, was under the same assumption as Colette that the light magic was harmless. Colette began to panic upon realizing that she wasn’t scaring Tira away anytime soon. On top of that, Tira had beckoned Pyrrha to her feet, and Pyrrha, completely at the mercy of Tira’s Soul Edge shard, had begun to obey her commands. Tira told Colette and Sieglinde that they should be grateful, that they’d be spared, as long as Pyrrha continued to obey. Colette was shocked and tried to reason with Pyrrha, but the power the Soul Edge shard had was too powerful. Pyrrha just stated emptily, that this was for the best, that they’d be safe now. Tira smiled, commanding Pyrrha to follow her, and she turned on her heel, waving that shard around like some sort of treat to keep the dazed Pyrrha in compliance. Pyrrha began to saunter after Tira, and Colette could only stand there, heartbroken and confused. In her eyes, this wasn’t for the best at all, this was the worst pain she’d ever felt in her life. She called out to Pyrrha, trying to stop her from leaving. From behind, malfested began to make their way over, attacking a defenseless Sieglinde. Colette turned back towards her mother and found herself spiraling in a mix of fear, pain and stress. She cared for Pyrrha so much, but she couldn’t leave her mother to the wolves, either. Everything had reached a boiling point, and once again, Colette’s magic exploded uncontrollably.
The blast and Colette’s blood curdling shriek snapped Pyrrha out of her daze, and she found her gaze snapping back towards Colette and Sieglinde. Colette tried to attack the maflested that were ganging up on her mother. While she succeeded on that front, Colette, still frazzled and overwhelmed from everything occurring at once, ended up hurting herself severely in the crossfire. Colette didn’t mean to, but… that outburst, it’d sent those malfested to the floor, squirming and writhing and screaming in agony, all of them practically burnt to a crisp. The outburst had just barely missed Sieglinde, who was already injured from the malfested. Colette was no safer. In that outburst, she’d burnt a huge section of her lower torso, sending her to the ground howling and wailing alongside the burning malfested. Pyrrha turned on her heels, running back towards them, and Tira’s expression quickly turned sour. Tira, wielding the Soul Edge shard, tried to reel Pyrrha back in, but she wouldn’t listen. That in and of itself pissed Tira off to no end, and she made her biggest mistake in that moment. In her rage, she threatened to tear Colette and Sieglinde to shreds for Pyrrha’s disobedience, and Pyrrha just… snapped. The Soul Edge shard in her pulsated and throbbed intensely, the fragment taking her dark feelings and shooting them to a point Pyrrha never knew she was capable of. Taking up her sword and shield, she viciously attacked Tira. Tira knew what Pyrrha was capable of with that fragment inside her, but she hadn’t expected Pyrrha to be so savage and barbaric so soon, and especially not towards her herself. Realizing things were going south once more, Tira had no choice but to retreat once more. She really didn’t want to, but at that point, what else could she do? The last thing Pyrrha remembered before everything went black was her relentless assault against Tira.
It was the next day when Pyrrha came to, her memory of the previous night fuzzy. Sieglinde relayed to Pyrrha that she had gotten both her and Colette out of the burning village, eventually passing out once they were safe. Sieglinde had run into a few people from the village, unaware of what the trio had gone through, and she was able to convince them that their injuries were all from the attacking malfested. She’d tricked them into helping the trio, and as such, Colette and Sieglinde were both having their injuries tended to by some of the other folk who’d escaped. Pyrrha wasn’t sure how, but she’d gotten out completely unscathed. Though, she was less focused on her confusion regarding the events, and more so honed in on Colette who was still out cold from the incident.
Pyrrha ended up sitting with Colette until she’d finally awoken much later. When Colette had realized Pyrrha was there, she was in tears, apologizing profusely for failing to protect Pyrrha from Tira. She was so distraught, terrified that she’d lost Pyrrha forever, among other things. Pyrrha stopped her in her tracks, reminding her it wasn’t her fault, that this was all on Tira. Though, Pyrrha found herself beginning to find herself at fault as well. She just didn’t get it, how was Tira able to control her so easily? That shard she’d used… it scared Pyrrha. Tira had something that could so easily control her, and she could only assume the worst. With what had happened, there was only one suspicion on Pyrrha’s mind. Was… was she malfested, too? That fragment, why did it make her hurt so much, why did it drive her crazy so easily?? She had to be malfested, too, that was the only thing Pyrrha could think of. She voiced her concerns to Colette, and found herself in tears as well. She was the reason everyone had been put in danger, right?? Tira wanted her so badly, so… was it really the right thing to stay with them for all those years?
Colette frowned at that, immediately shushing Pyrrha and telling her that if she’d left, she’d never be the same again. She loved Pyrrha, and she’d be nothing without her best friend, her family, her everything. Pyrrha went silent, taking in those words. Love..? She… loved her? Pyrrha frowned deeply, tearing up again. She apologized for even thinking of leaving, for hurting her with her own self doubt. Colette was about to stop her, but found herself more than surprised when Pyrrha followed up her apologies with a shockingly bold move on her part. She sighed, leaning in and gently planting a kiss on Colette’s lips, before pulling back and telling her she loved her too.
It was that moment when Colette realized she’d accidentally confessed to her best friend. But hey, it went wonderfully, so… no harm no foul, right?
Well, it would be soon enough, but for now Colette was too busy turning beet red and nearly passing out again from the kiss. Oops.

The thrilling conclusion of the lizard paralogue!
Rhea reveals the Ochain shield was actually crafted by Indech (Macuil just puts magic in it) for Cichol, but Seiros the Warrior decided to gift it instead to the First Emperor of Adrestia - for some reason
“Let me tell you how awesome he was.”
“He’s the only “great emperor” in Adrestian History, the others are just losers”
“You’re not going to tell them that nonsense about the covenant of the red blood and white sword, right? Flayn is here!!”
“Blink of an eye? Your chronology says it took him 30 years.”
“Yes, blink of an eye. What, you don’t live up to 6000 years yourself?”
That’s what usually happens when you start a war of unification
Really? What abotu the Dudes who were seen as heroes too??
Barney doesn’t know Fodlan’s official history. Who does nowadays?
I love you.
“defeated”
Jugding by the timeline, if Lycaon was his son, either Willy got him quite late in his life or lycaon was a hybrid explaining why he would be still alive while being Willy’s son and not his grandson or great grandson
It makes me think of the situation between Felix and Rodrigue, Felix is the new Head of House Fraldarius, but Rodrigue is still here to assist him in battle and all.
!
Lycaon died young - Willy really got a kid while he was 80 (with a crest prolonging his life) or Lycaon was really a hybrid?
“And they held their hands a lot during this journey.”
What happened to Nopes!Willy next? We won’t know, but funnily enough, instead of hiding in a pond, Indech returned to his workshop in this verse?
“Right. Even if I returned to the monastery 20 years ago, and someone could have told me where to dig to recover the shield that was initially meant for me.”
Barney, plot related weapons never rust. Don’t you know that?
“Zoltan is an amateur next to him!”
Watch out Flayn, the sword nerds in this kingdom might not be happy to hear you badmouth their idol.
Cyril also looks at Flayn, she has an uncle?
“Haha, I misspoke, I just saw him being called uncle in a novel, like the one where women who are not related to Cichol call him “Daddy” while mating.”
“At least it will be put to good use”
“since someone doesn’t want to give it back to its rightful carrier, right Rhea? Rhea, I’m looking at you.”
“He didn’t defeat jackshit, he sucked ! And you can’t defeat people with a shield! Stop painting that guy as better than he was!!”
Nice use of wayward here lol, Rhea thinks Supreme Leader is lost and doesn’t follow the path of her ancestors.
“... Are you sure you are not forgetting someone? The man for whom that shield was created? Rhea, I am looking at you, stop ignoring me.”
:)
