my yandere!leon headcanons so far MDNI
Tumblr media
hello! these are just a few headcanons i had about leon as a yandere and a person in general. there is nsfw below the cut, so MINORS AND AGELESS BIOS FUCK OFF ‼ also feel free to send me your thoughts on yandere!leon and your personal headcanons if you have any!!
xx
sfw
⟢ he's self-aware that what he's done to you is horrible. he knows you have every right to hate him, but that doesn't stop him from wishing you would love him back. he never meant to hurt or deceive you, but he's lost and given too much. leon wants someone to come home to, share a meal with, and feel needed and wanted. to receive a sliver of what he's given out. so forgive him if he's being selfish when it comes to you, but he deserves happiness too. so why not help him play house?
⟢ smells of bergamot and lavender. it’s nice and relaxing, but also musky and woodsy. he read somewhere that lavender calms the nerves, so he just absolutely lathers himself in the scent. Sometimes you swear he smells like sleep personified. unfortunately, he’s still a man, so he uses old spice lavender body wash. for cologne, he uses sauvage by dior.
⟢ normalcy is hard. how can anyone go back into society as if the amount of  horrors you’ve seen, aren’t there? like you’re fine and everything is fine? so, leon has found a pretty good remedy, company. each friday, a sit down dinner with claire, chris, and jill. pizza, wings, and beer every sunday with chris watching whatever football game is on. sometimes they may not know the current standings of teams, but it’s fun to pretend that they do. yet friends can only fill the void so much, maybe with you, the world won’t feel so lonely.
⟢ he has a major sweet tooth! likes his coffee with cream and sugar, won’t drink his coffee black unless he really needs it. leon will always have room for dessert lmao. has tried to bake, but he just doesn’t got it 💀something just always goes wrong. a big ice cream/frozen yogurt guy. once a month, leon will make a “everything under the kitchen sink” sundae. he’ll dump whatever pints of ice cream into a large bowl and top it off with whatever candy, syrup, and whip topping he has. leon is usually on a very strict diet, so why not splurge?
⟢ leon on his off time has taught himself how to smoke/grill meat. only knows how to make small side dishes to go with the meat that he’s made. mashed potatoes and grilled veggies are usually his two favorite go-to sides.
⟢ i'm a firm believer that leon's receiving love languages are quality time and words of affirmation with a hint of acts of service. leon works a lot, whether at the office or away on another mission, this poor, tired man is always working. so when he's home be prepared to be attached at the hip. leon also has a lot of self-doubt and guilt about what he's done to you, so by telling him how much you love and appreciate him, it feeds his growing delusion that what he's done is necessary. you need him just as much as he needs you. it also adds to the reassurance when you do small things for him to show your love and appreciation, whether it’s real or not. like cleaning and folding his laundry, making him a cup of coffee in the morning, back rubs after a long day, or even packing his lunch for the day.
i’m giggling at the thought of leon keeping all the small notes you add to his lunch, reading them when the day gets tough. or maybe he has one or two in a go-bag when he has to take small out-of-state trips for work.
⟢ building off the one before, he won't admit it but he's clingy. he prefers showers, but will choose a bath if it means he gets a small intimate moment with you in the morning. not in a sexual sense, more in a “let’s bask in each other’s presence”. never sits across from you at a table or booth, always next to you. same thing for the couch. there could be a thousand pillows on the bed, but he always chooses yours. leon will also never lets you sleep facing any windows/doors for security reasons. there is no such thing as personal space with this man.
⟢ since leon is a yandere his reciprocating love language is all of them. he wants you to stay with him, so he is willing to drown you in his love until it's the only thing you'll ever know. i'm going to break this down a little in sections.
⟡ leon isn't the best when it comes to choosing the words that relay how he feels. the words feel wrong and it leaves him awkward. so any sort of verbal praise from him is rare. the most you would get from him is a thumbs up and a "sure" or a pat on the back with a nod.
(😀👍🏻 <— leon fr) but, put a piece of paper infront of this man and all of a sudden he's writing words that’ll make shakespear blush. it's words so sickly sweet it gives you a toothache. leon really hates himself for not being able to verbal relay this to you, but maybe you can feel what he wants to say?
⟡ leon is just really good at showing you how he feels than telling you. I KNOW THIS MAN WOULD GIVE THE BEST HUGS BECAUSE HE SO DESPERATELY NEEDS ONE. just imagining leon giving you a bear hug, fully enveloping you, and he can't help but hold you a little closer. maybe even holds your head a little more to him. his eyes are closed, soaking up the loving moment, he might even do a little sigh of relief. because with you, he's safe. with you, he's loved. and he just wants you to feel the love he has for you through every action. to feel what he can't say. (SORRY I GOT OFF TRACK!!) leon also always has to be touching you in some way. his favorite places for kisses; nose, cheek, neck, or hand. every morning, when he's holding you close, he'll leave small repeated kisses on your neck until you wake up giggling. not really into lip kisses, but will sometimes start a lazy make out session. just loves holding you whenever he can and making sure you feel loved at all times.
⟡ leon will also do the most for you. having a hard time sleeping? he's awake with you, lightly scratching your back in small circles or holding you close while he's running his fingers through your hair. leon just can't sleep knowing that you're having a hard time sleeping. hungry but don't want to cook? he's in the kitchen cheffing it up. putting love in every plate that he makes you, even if it isn't restaurant quality. i feel like leon will also leave you small notes around the house in places that you would find, but it's little drawings instead of words. in the slow cooker, a picture of a flower. in between the dryer sheets, a bad stick figure drawing of what you think is of you and him. at some random page of the book you're reading, a simple heart.
⟡ leon loves spending time with you. it doesn't matter what it is, even if you're doing nothing. he wants to do nothing with you. his favorite thing to do with you is listen to you. whether you’re rambling about the latest tv drama he knows nothing about or it’s late at night and you’re reading whatever book you’ve picked up. he loves being in the kitchen when you’re cooking/baking. he’s your dedicated sous chef, so feel free to boss him around like your gordon ramsay. although, i’m so sorry for the amount of “my name is sue” jokes he’ll make. loves watching movies, putting together legos/ doing diy crafts, and playing mario kart.
I NOTICED THIS WAS GETTING LONG AND IDK IF I EXPLAINED THIS WELL BUT IM HOPING I DID. THIS WAS SOOOO SELF INDULGENT.
⟢ when it comes to pet names, leon will add a “my” to the start of it. he’s possessive and it shows in his actions. will often say: my girl, my sweetheart, my baby, my angel, etc.
nsfw (i’m not good at smut sorry)
⟢ the praise problem does not equate to what happens in the bedroom. i'm sorry, i just simply refuse. a complete 180, he's a talker. whether it's saying something so outlandishly lewd like he wants the whole world to hear or sickly sweet nothings in your ear, this dude will NOT stfu. (and it makes me giggle and kick my feet) I WILL PUT MY LIFE ON THE LINE AND SAY THAT THIS MAN IS ABSOLUTELY FERAL IN BED. he's always stressed. from his job, from the lack of self care, from the past that just never seems to leave him. he's on edge. he has healthy ways of releasing it, but sometimes the gym or extra training isn't enough.
⟢ which can lead to leon being a little mean in bed. he’s absolutely degrading the life out of you while also giving you whiplash with the praise that he gives you as well. leon is a lot more aggressive and at some point you’re just a fleshlight to him. spanking, choking, biting, spitting, you name it, it is on the table. also licking whatever drool comes out of his mouth makes him lose his mind fr.
⟢ i'm not good at writing smut, but i do have an idea of what i think leon's favorite sex positions would be. the first one would be mating press. it's extremely intimate and it allows him to be close to your face and neck than the regular missonary position. again, he really gets off knowing that he's the one getting you off. another postition would be cowgirl, it gives him full view of your chest and face, except you're not really riding him. again, he just using you as a fleshlight like giving you the perception that you’re in control. another would be you on your belly and him basically putting you in a headlock. IDK WHAT IT’S CALLED BUT IF YKYK. and leon just saying the most down right atrocious things in your ear would make me go crazy.
YOU’RE GONNA SIT THERE AND TELL ME YOU DON’T WANT HIS HUGE ARMS AROUND YOUR NECK, YOU’RE INSANE.
⟢ last but not least, ✨moaning✨. i like to think that he’s a grunter and whiner at the same time. idk if that makes any sense? he’s loud but not obscenely loud. but sometimes when he overstimulates himself, he’s a complete whiner like lovi (again if ykyk).

My dear lgbt+ kids,
Let's talk about vaginal yeast infections. They are super common and nothing to be ashamed of!
What is a yeast infection and what causes it?
Yeast is a type of fungus that naturally lives in multiple parts of your body, like your mouth and vagina. This is not a problem. It's supposed to be there! But it is a careful balancing act - if it becomes too much, you can get a yeast infection.
One of the most common ways this happens is by taking antibiotic medication. They do not only kill the bacteria that cause the infection you are treating, they also kill the "good" bacteria that usually keep the yeast in your vagina in check.
Other things that can throw you off balance are for example:
pregnancy
hormonal birth control
diabetes/uncontrolled blood sugar levels
the use of scented products (tampons, pads, deodorant, soap etc.)
douching (and excessive vaginal hygiene in general)
An untreated infection can be passed on during sex but it is not considered an STI. You can get a yeast infection even if you never had sex!
What are the symptoms?
Yeast infections typically cause itching in the vagina or vulva. You may also notice a thick, white, odorless discharge (comparable to the consistency of cottage cheese), redness, swelling, or a burning sensation (especially when you urinate).
(Yellow or greenish discharge or "fishy" smelling discharge are not typical symptoms of a yeast infection - if you notice those, you may have a bacterial infection instead.)
How can I treat a yeast infection? Do I need to see a doctor?
First things first: Please do not try any "home remedies" you may hear about (like putting yogurt or ice in your vagina) - these things do not help and can even make it worse!
Over-the-counter (OTC) medication is in most cases highly effective and quickly relieves you of uncomfortable symptoms. It's usually for topical use (a cream you use on your vulva, a pill you insert in the vagina, or a combination of both) but oral medication (a pill you swallow) is available as well.
It's essential to carefully read the instructions and take it for as long as you are supposed to (even if your symptoms have already faded or completely stopped!). If you stop taking it too early, the infection may return.
However, it's best to see a doctor if:
You suspect it may be a bacterial infection (see above). This requires a different treatment; taking antifungal OTC medication would be useless for a bacterial infection!
You are not sure if you really have a yeast infection
You tried OTC medication and the symptoms didn't go away (or even got worse)
You get more than four yeast infections within twelve months
You are pregnant (not all OTC medications are safe during pregnancy)
You don't need to be embarrassed or worry that your doctor will assume it's caused by a lack of hygiene. They know better. Seeing patients with yeast infections is routine for them - it's one of the most common reasons people go to their gynecologist!
Can I prevent yeast infections?
Some risk factors are out of your control but you can:
wash your vulva with plain warm water (instead of using soap, cleanser etc.)
avoid douching or "washing out" your vagina (you don't need to clean your vagina at all! It's self-cleaning)
avoid using deodorant on your vulva
avoid using scented tampons or pads
With all my love,
Your Tumblr Dad

Hmmmm...
Well, I'm rather busy in the lounge today, but I Suppose I could give you some at home remedies...
Hmmm...
Fine. I'll teach you a trick I learned from Professor Crewel.
One large spoonful of honey should coat the throat and soothe any itch or ache.
Mint tea - particularly peppermint - will open the sinuses, as well as lubricate the throat as well.
Probiotic foods such as kefir, miso, kimchi, yogurt, etc can also assist in getting rid of a cough.
And lastly, a saltwater gargle can help. Floyd or myself can assist in that, though it may be best to just use a cup...

OP Hotties hearing that their child has fallen miserably ill. The kid is in deep sleep when their papa comes home to help check up on them.
This can go two ways depending on the papa:
1) OP Papa makes sure their kid is well tucked in and has many things on standby (soup, medicine, etc). It’ll pass. Everyone gets really bad sick days.
Or
2) OP Papa checks in to see their kid completely passed out, sleeping like a little angel or an adorable devil. The kid doesn’t even respond when OP Papa steps on a toy, they’re just out of it. Playfully, OP Papa gets the idea to gently lift up their kid’s arm and let’s it drop. Heh, kinda like a dead person. . . !!!
Don’t worry, the kid is fine, everything is totally okay. . . Although the kid is definitely not happy being startled awake when their dad freaks out. Nor is S/O happy with OP Papa waking up their child who is sick and needs their rest. Still, it’d been a valid response.
Kizaru ✨
He would go and cuddle his kid while they’re sleeping, gently petting their hair as he asked how they were doing to their S/O. When the child wakes up, he feeds them gently and tries to make them feel better.
Akainu🌋
He would go check up on the child and make sure to bring home food that the child likes but they’re still able to stomach like jello or yogurt. He would feed his child and have them rest against him. He is concerned about his child and would take days off just to help his S/O.
Ryokugyu 🌱
He would bring in eucalyptus leaves and place them in his child’s bath as it’s good for the body and he definitely wants to help his child rest easier. He does like playing with the kid when they’re sleeping, playing with their little arms and what not.
Fujitora 🐅
He would make sure to bring some soup for his kid and feed them gently before talking to them and probably making them sleep. He wants his kid to get better soon.
Sir Crocodile 🐊
He would usually ask Daz to get soup prepared for his kid and would try to feed his child but he’s not really fond of being around them when they’re sick and would leave that to his S/O and Daz.
Doflamingo Donquixote 🦩
He would go sit close to his sleeping child and check how passed out they were by swaying their limbs around. It was childish but still pretty funny.
Benn Beckman 🔫
He would make sure to tuck his kid in and do whatever he was asked to make his child feel better. He would make fresh orange juice and feed his child. Seeing his child this way made him feel hurt, he just wants to se me them well and healthy again.
Katakuri Charlotte 🍡
He would take time off to be with his child and help nurse them back to health. He hated seeing them this miserable. He would make sure healthy meals were made for his little donut to eat and he would personally feed his child and even put them to bed.
Killer🔪
He would try to help out as much as he can but seeing his kid be like a lifeless doll was pretty hilarious. He’d cuddle in bed with them and play with his child’s hand until his S/O comes in and he pretends like he wasn’t doing anything, just tucking his kid in.
Kaido🐉
He isn’t too concerned as he knows his child would get over this eventually so he lets his S/O deal with his child.
King 👑
He would take time off to be with his child and S/O. He would make amazing soups from scratch because he is really good at cooking. He would spend all night tending to his kid so his S/O could take a break.
Queen👑
He would try to be home more to help out with his kid but he feels awkward as he doesn’t know what to do to help make them feel better and feels like he gets in his S/O’s way.
Izou🔫🔫
He helps with hime remedies that he used for sister when she was sick and would make the same soups and drinks for his child. He would watch over his child and would usually fell asleep near them.
Dragon D Monkey 🐉🐒
He doesn’t want to deal with the child being sick as he is pretty busy so he lets his S/O handle it and just support them as best as he could.
Oven Charlotte 🍞
Buggy🤡
He literally is on the verge of tears when he finds out his kid is sick and all he wants to do is spend time with his child which ends up with him getting sick too! So his S/O would have to nurse both of them.
Marco the Phoenix 🦅
He would follow his S/I’d lead with how to care for the child but when the child is asleep, he would tickle them and laugh more to himself that the child didn’t react…until his S/O catches him.

National Fruit Compote Day
With a burst of natural sweetness, this delightful mix of fruits cooked to perfection promises a fruity explosion that tantalizes taste buds.
If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you’re probably a fan of the fruit compote. A delicious mixture of fruits or berries and sugar, the compote brings a punch of flavor to greek yogurt, a fruitful ending to a full course meal, or a sweet addition to your morning cereal. And on March 1st, if you ever needed an excuse to start your day with a mixture of sugar and fruits, then here it is!
History of Fruit Compotes
A fruit compote is a simple treat. It is technically a fruit sauce, made with fresh or frozen fruit chunks and sugar. The sugar is cooked on the stove to make a syrup, and the fruit is added in and warmed until the two mix together to create a syrupy sweet sauce. The sauce has a variety of uses, such as toast spread, in smoothies, on top of cakes or waffles, or into granola.
Food historians credit the dish’s original origin to France. The dish was originally served by itself in 17th century France as a dessert item. Interestingly enough, the dessert was originally created for its supposed health benefits.
The idea was that this dessert, or fruits cooked in any syrup, balanced out the effects of humidity in the body. The dessert was treated as a health remedy originally but eventually was served for pleasure as a dessert.
As the dish entered the medieval era, it was served at the beginning of the final course at a feast, usually with a potage, or a creamy vegetable and grain soup. Compote then became a staple dish in all feasts! In the Renaissance period, the compote was served cold in a dish to signal the end of a feast.
Since the meal was easy to prepare, did not cost much, and could be greatly varied based on the type of fruit, it became a staple throughout Jewish homes in Europe. The item was served at Jewish meals on toast, in yogurts, and creams.
Today, many countries serve compote instead of whole fruits and vegetables. Vegetable compotes are often served as soups, dips, or spreads. Fruit compotes are often used as toppings or desserts. Today, some of the most prolific compote recipes come from Germany, Holland, Belgium, Scandinavia, and France.
History of National Fruit Compote Day
Exactly when National Fruit Compote Day started being observed isn’t clear, but the food item is celebrated has been around for donkey’s years. The word ‘compote’ is from the French language, meaning a mixture.
With no dairy ingredients, fruit compote became a popular staple cuisine in Europe – but you will often find it served with yogurt or whipped cream. Many people who observe a dairy-free diet will also freeze fruit compotes in containers and eat this as a dairy-free ice cream substitute!
Fruit compote also goes well with cakes and biscuits, often serving as the fruity part of homemade cheesecakes. Pouring it over granola and cream also makes it the perfect end to a full course meal.
How to celebrate National Fruit Compote Day
If you’re feeling a bit handy in the kitchen, cooking up some fruit compote of your own isn’t too hard to do at all. Just choose your favorite berries and fruits, and boil them in water with plenty of sugar and spices. To give it some extra flavor you can add vanilla to the syrup, or drop in some orange peel or cinnamon sticks while it’s boiling. Dropping in some grated coconut will give your creation a little something extra.
Consider also trying a compote-based recipe, such as using compote to make frozen fruit popsicles, or mixing compote into ice cream to make a thickened frozen fruit treat! Make a simple compote to put into other treats.
Try topping your toast, cereal, granola, yogurt, or ice creams with this sweet spread, and you may just find your new favorite treat! If you want to eat it hot, try baking a cake or cupcake, and then filling or topping it with warm fruit compote!
If you’re in the mood for something a little boozy, one traditional recipe sees the syrup made with wine, but you could just use dried fruits soaked in alcohol if you wish. Some recipe variations call for wine, rum, or tequila to create a tangy flavor mixed with sweetened sugary fruit. You can either soak the fruit in alcohol for a few days to soak up the flavor, or you can mix the alcohol in at the cooking stage for a sharper flavor!
Looking for a creative way to get your daily serving of fruits? Don’t like eating fruits whole? There’s no better way to get your “five a day” than with a tasty treat like this, so give fruit compote a try today and join many others across the world observing National Fruit Compote Day.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why is my hair so oily?
Sebum, the natural oil produced by the scalp, may be produced in large quantities, making your hair oily.
This too much oiliness can be caused by several factors, including hormonal fluctuations, genetics, and an imbalance in oil production. Certain hair care habits, such as overwashing or using many products, may also be important.
2. What is oily dandruff called?
Seborrheic dermatitis is a common term used to describe oily dandruff. Excessive sebum production is the indicator of this condition, resulting in a greasy scalp and the formation of yellowish, oily flakes. On the scalp, seborrheic dermatitis can also cause redness and inflammation.
3. Should I oil my hair if I have oily scalp?
Applying oil to an oily scalp should be done with caution. While heavy oils or excessive application can worsen the problem, some oils can help balance the scalp's natural oil production.
If you decide to use oil or home remedies for oily dandruff, use light varieties like jojoba or tea tree oil and apply carefully to prevent further greasiness.
4. Is naturally oily hair good?
The management of naturally oily hair and personal preferences are the main factors that determine whether oily hair is good or bad. Naturally oily hair has several advantages, such as increased shine and hair shaft protection.

Five Shocking Home Treatments for Acne You’ve got a sizzling date lined up, maybe with a couple’s chocolate wrap? You’re eager and prepared to leave when you peek in the mirror and discover an obtrusively large pimple on your face. It would be natural to pop it, but don’t! It will just allow additional germs to enter, worsen the condition’s appearance, and, even worse, leave an acne scar. Here are your options.

You’ve got a sizzling date lined up, maybe with a couple’s chocolate wrap? When you look in the mirror as you get ready to go, a pimple has inconveniently appeared on your face in a very apparent way.
To avoid rushing on the day of your hot date, keep all of these ingredients close at hand. Isn’t it difficult enough having to decide what to wear that evening?
Five Natural Treatments for Pimples There may be paid links.
Sweet and sour Style on Main provided this Honey and a dripping 1. Aww, honey! For AcnEase® users, Dr. Agnes suggests a 20-minute pimple drying honey compress applied ONLY to the pimple itself, as well as one extra “kick this zit” dose of AcnEase® (six pills) if there are still 10–12 hours before the date. Before applying honey to the zit with a clean q-tip, remove all makeup and/or concealer. Wait 20 minutes, and then

3 tablespoons of plain, organic yogurt
1 teaspoon steel-cut natural oats or potato starch (not instant oats)
2 evening primrose oil capsules
1 tablespoon of honey (organic if possible)
A total of 2 vitamin E capsules
It’s Rosewater (may be bought in natural food stores as rose hydrosol). This should be applied following the mask.

Directions:
Evening primrose and vitamin E capsules should be opened, and the oils should be put in a bowl. Oats should be ground into a fine powder if you plan to use them. Except for the rosewater, combine all the other ingredients. The paste should have a spreadable but not “soupy” consistency similar to chocolate icing on a cake. Cleanse your face and neck, then apply the mask, and wait

Style on Main provided this Tea with chamomile to treat acne 3. Gosh, You Are Smooth! The next step is to shut your pores. It is known that chamomile has advantages comparable to those of medications with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Chamomile helps reduce acne-related irritation when used topically.
Buy all the products here
By preparing a very strong (infusion) tea with 3–4 chamomile tea bags (or 2 handfuls of the dried chamomile), you can create your own chamomile astringent. Use on a cotton pad all over your face twice each day when it has cooled. Refrigerate any leftovers, but eat them up within two days or throw them away.
Tumblr media
offered by Style on Main Witch Hazel acne treatment 4. Act Like a Witch! Use witch-hazel on a Q-tip three or four times on the zit if you have at least 10 to 12 hours before the date (no rubbing, just dab on the pimples for 3–4 seconds). The extract, commonly known as witch hazel, is used medicinally and aids in reducing inflammation and irritations. The bark and leaves are astringent. Do not, once more, pop the pimple! This will make a HUGE mess that makeup cannot hide.
Vegetables with leaves, supplied by Style on Main You Are Hot Enough! 5. Leafy Green Vegetables Those who enjoy “hot and spicy” meals should make a sacrifice. Avoid fried, oily, and spicy foods for roughly two weeks before THE BIG DAY.

Style on Main Leafy Green Veggies provided 5. You Have Enough Heat! Those who enjoy “hot and spicy” meals should make a sacrifice. Avoid eating anything fried, greasy, or spicy for about two weeks before the BIG DAY. Maintain a diet high in fresh produce (all forms of green leafy vegetables are excellent), fruits (those with less sugar, like berries), and fish that is high in omega 3. Also, avoid consuming excessive amounts of orange juice and other liquids with a high sugar content.

The Post-Bisalp Diaries, Part Two: Survival Of The Tubeless
Happy Two Week Anniversary of me noping the fallopes!
When I was reading up on how others managed post-Bisalp before my own surgery, I saw suggestions like "take Gas-X for bloating", "use stool softeners so you don't 'strain' yourself", "have a heating pad for the shoulder pain", and so forth. They sounded helpful, and it was a good thing I had that stuff already on hand (for other reasons).
That said, here's what really helped me out during my recovery. ***DISCLAIMER*** Your mileage may vary, all bodies are different, and I sure as shit am no doctor or medical practitioner!
*Turmeric-Curcumin Pills*
It's what I first turn to when I get crap like PMS cramps or headaches. I do have ibuprofen on hand, but it's more of a last resort remedy for me. The ones I've been taking post-surgery are Gaia Herbs Turmeric Supreme, but I also have Terry Naturally's Curamin (regular strength) pills.
*CBD Stuff*
Thank goodness I live in a state where CBD products are legal to own. Tinctures and gummies, particularly the ones from Lazarus Naturals, have been a godsend.
*Probiotics*
I still took probiotics pre-surgery, albeit in food form (yogurt, sauerkraut, etc.) since I couldn't have supplements then. When I learned that I was given antibiotics during my surgery, I knew I needed to take probiotics later in the day; it's what balances out your digestive system after the antibiotics fuck with it. Maybe it could explain why, even if my appetite was reduced for the first few days, I didn't have bad gas. I took a high-dose probiotic (think the pills with over 40+billion cultures) in the first week, then, for the second week, went down to probiotics with no more than 25 billion cultures. And some low-sugar yogurt.
*Pedialyte Pops*
Like with many others who had a Bisalp, sore throat is a common post-surgery symptom. (It's the result of having a breathing tube down your throat during the procedure.) Though I had regular popsicles on hand, I ended up buying Pedialyte Freezer Pops as well as they also have electrolytes in them. And they're also fairly low sugar!
*Thrift Stores*
So I had to change up my wardrobe a bit for my recovery. A month leading up to my surgery, I got some jumpsuits, loose, high waisted pants with a comfortable waistband, slip-in shoes so I don't have to bend over and tie my shoes, and even a bed rest pillow in case I felt like a lazy-ass. Thanks to thrift stores, I got all that for a bargain. Who the fuck needs Wal-Mart?
By the way, because of my need to be active, and me fighting the fatigue during the first few days of recovery, I didn't use that bed rest pillow. I guess I may need it down the road, and it only cost me $5.
*Eating Low-Carb, Minimally Processed Foods*
Having been on Keto for the past few years, the diet has not only helped me shed blubber, but I've become more active from it. I can't say if eating low-carb/sugar-free foods and minimally processed foods helped my body heal quicker, but, save for the first three days after surgery, I never felt sluggish in my recovery.
*A Decent Landlord & Loan Deferments*
OK, forget the physical aspects of my recovery; it's the financial aspects that took the real beating. I'm able to receive Short Term Disability while out from work (I do not work from home and my job is very physical), but waiting for the payments have become a pain in the clit. I'm still waiting for them, and it just happens to be a holiday weekend right now. Just my luck! So, I like to give a shout-out to my landlord who was cool with me underpaying my rent for this upcoming month, and the few loan companies who I have accounts with that were able to postpone my payments so I don't go so broke to where I need to sell my sterilized ass on the streets for a few bucks. (Like, literally a few bucks--it's the going rate for old millennial ass.)
Also, a friendly reminder that just because one is childfree doesn't mean they got deep pockets. Some of those "I got to vacation in Italy last week 'cause I got no kids!!!!" posts you see on Reddit's Childfree subreddit are likely made-up as hell (it's Reddit, after all). Now that I think about it, I think I'm more of a WINK (What Income? No Kids) instead of a SINK at the moment.
Tumblr media
A Few Things I Got/Have That I Didn't Need In The End...
--GasX pills (I was never really gassy, and they were the 99-Cent Store version as opposed to the name brand, so I didn't lose money on that)
--Shoulder/Heating Pad (others have suggested it, but I only used it just once and that was because it was a cold night)
--stool softeners (I think the probiotics helped me out with this one)
--ibuprofen (took it once and it fucked with me. I'm used to the 200mg pills, but 600mg per pill?! Fuck no!)
--prescribed oxycodone (didn't even open that shit)
And A Couple Things You Don't Need To Buy...
--disposable underwear (the hospital will provide you with as many pairs as you need. I never bled, thankfully, but I was still given a few pairs.)
--anti-nausea patch (another thing the hospital will give you, but only if you request it. I could've saved myself $6 from the pack of anti-nausea patches I bought on eBay! *punches air*)
*****
Again, what helped me out post-Bisalp may or may not help the next person in recovery. If there's one thing I highly recommend that will help the next person recover from a Bisalp smoothly, it's having plenty of money so you don't have to worry about financial shit like me.
**ETA: Tumblr told me this is my 100th post here. I'd celebrate but I also outed myself as a broke bitch in the post, so...

This is going to read like and old style author's note.
So. Some of you know that I am a pretty active cook, and I have been canning recently.
While working on some tomato products, my grandmother brought me some more tomatoes from her sister's garden that did better than ours, along with a large bag of banana peppers that she told me were hot.
I thought that was fine. I have handled hot peppers before. I don't own disposable gloves. I will just thoroughly wash my hands with dish soap to make sure all the oils get off.
Biggest fucking mistake.
I cut all 30 or so large peppers and nearly died coughing cleaning the seeds out.
At first, there was no pain for like an hour, then it started to burn, which I didn't panic about because I had cute jalapeno before and suffered for an hour of mild irritation. NO. Within the next few hours, I was in the worst pain of my life, and the only relief was running my hands under a cold tap.
I tried everything every site suggested. Pain killers did nothing, neither did allergy medication, the topical medication I could even feel a difference. I tried every home remedy: honey, yogurt, milk, flour, stainless steel, vinegar, baking soda, lemon, butter, nail polish remover, mustard, shampoo, conditioner, oil, dish soap, etc.
Many stories online said they went to the ER and even morphine doesn't help because of the way that peppers burn and the only thing they were given was a cocktail that put them to sleep.
I couldn't sleep, even after we tried to rig up a bowl of ice water by my head. I think I fell asleep for 10 minutes, and the pain woke me up.
I spent the rest of the night wrapped in a heating blanket on a chair with my hands under a cool tap in my bathroom.
I thought maybe the creams were finally starting to work around 7 in the morning, but I did the math, and the life of the capsaicin (the chemical that makes peppers hot) is 18 hours, and it was just wearing off. By 9, my hands were no longer burning, and I was finally able to sleep.
18 hours of pure hell, both in pain and pure boredom, because all I could do was watch videos, and I am a severe multitasker.
I am fine now. My hands feel weirdly tight, but they aren't insanely dry because so much of what I was slathering them with was moisturizing, and I am dying to get back to writing.
I had planned to spend the whole evening writing. That obviously didn't happen.
PSA: WEAR FUCKING GLOVES WHEN CUTTING PEPPERS. THERE IS NOT CURE FOR THE PAIN.

Character Intro: Iaso (Kingdom of Ichor)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nicknames- Dear by her husband
Sweetie by Epione
Ms. Robot by Hygieia
Age- 29 (immortal)
Location- Little Athens, New Olympus
Personality- She shares similarities with her medical tools in being cold, precise, and methodical. She values her talent & intelligence on and off the medical field. She can be snobby and above-it-all, but can also be vulnerable & sensitive- caring a great deal of what others think of her. She's married to a well known & respected surgeon, Machaon.
She has the standard abilities of a goddess. Being the goddess of cures & remedies, she shares several abilities like her mother & siblings like vitakinesis, cytokinesis (manipulating the cells of organisms), X-ray vision, knowing a person's entire medical history by looking at them, organikokinesis (manipulating organic substances), osteokinesis (manipulating bones), and summoning & controlling medicines as well as her most esteemed ability- necropsy mastery. She can also conjure wounds on people- making them deeper and seriously infected, as a punishment.
Iaso lives in an upscale condo in the Little Athens neighborhood of New Olympus with her husband Machaon. They have no children or pets. The color scheme is cool shades of blue & gray. Their pantry in the kitchen is fully stocked with industrial sized hand sanitizers and antibacterial cleaning sprays & products. They also have a vacation home in Tricca, where her husband is from.
She was just recently named New Olympus' chief medical examiner. Her and her husband are also esteemed surgeons & they're even thinking about starting a medical school. She still helps out from time to time with the family business (her mom's company).
Her go-to drink is a banana almond protein smoothie that's added with coconut water, plain yogurt, & hemp seeds. She also enjoys chamomile tea. She'll also indulge in a glass of white wine or champagne every once in a while.
Her go-to thing to eat are egg white frittatas. Since Iaso & her husband almost always have no time to make breakfast, they get food from the deli. She also gets the breakfast burrito (made with scrambled egg whites, black olives, scallions, onions, & peppers) from The Bread Box.
She loves snacking on saltine crackers.
Iaso doesn't really have close friends in the pantheon, except maybe Sophia (goddess of thought), Amphictyonis (Amy) (goddess of diplomacy), and Mousika (goddess of studying & music). She also met Athena (goddess of wisdom), Paean (goddess of physicians), Hestia (goddess of the hearth), & Dike (goddess of justice) very briefly.
The closest relationships she's ever had are with her family. Despite the current predicament, she does have hope that her parents (Epione & Asclepius) will get back together. Iaso tries helping out in whichever way she can- dropping off healthy cooked meals for her father or by picking up her little sister Aceso (goddess of healing) from school whenever she's able to. She’s not as close with Hygieia (goddess of hygiene & cleanliness) or Panacea (Ana) (goddess of universal remedy).
Her previous relationship before she met her husband was with the god Nosos. Towards the end Iaso found him to be too immature & needy. She almost took out a restraining order against him when she ended things.
Her favorite frozen treat is coconut sorbet! She always gets an olympian sized cup when she goes to The Frozen Spoon.
She does know that Machaon wants kids, but Iaso is unsure of her "maternal capabilities."
She's a good cook, specializing in clean eating. Some of her favorite dishes include salmon with tomato-goat cheese couscous, grilled chicken & mango skewers, and shrimp & avocado salad.
Iaso thoroughly enjoys when she gets to have her free time- whether it's alone time with a book or newspaper, a day at the spa, spending quality time with her husband, acupuncture, or visiting the museum or cinema.
"Science rarely makes mistakes."

Face Whitening Treatments: Achieve Radiant and Glowing Skin
In today’s world, where appearances often play a significant role in one's confidence, having clear and radiant skin is a common desire. Despite the vast array of skincare products available, finding the right treatment for face whitening can be overwhelming. Fear not! We've got you covered. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into various face whitening treatments, providing you with all the necessary information to make an informed decision and achieve the glowing skin you desire.
Understanding Skin Pigmentation
What is Skin Pigmentation?
Skin pigmentation refers to the natural color of the skin. It is determined by the amount of melanin produced by the body. Melanin is a pigment that gives skin its color. Higher melanin levels result in darker skin, while lower levels result in lighter skin.
Types of Skin Pigmentation
Hyperpigmentation: This occurs when the body produces excess melanin, resulting in darker patches on the skin.
Hypopigmentation: This occurs when there is a decrease in melanin production, leading to lighter patches on the skin.
Melasma: A common skin condition where brown to gray-brown patches appear, primarily on the face.
Tumblr media
Home Remedies for Face Whitening
Can Home Remedies Lighten Your Skin?
Yes! Several home remedies can help lighten and brighten your skin. These natural remedies are not only effective but also safe and budget-friendly.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is a natural bleaching agent that can lighten dark spots and even out skin tone. Apply freshly squeezed lemon juice to your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off.
Turmeric
Turmeric has natural skin-lightening properties and can help reduce melanin production. Mix turmeric powder with honey or yogurt to make a paste. Apply the mixture to your face and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera gel is known for its skin-soothing and lightening properties. Apply fresh aloe vera gel to your face and leave it on overnight for best results.
Over-the-Counter (OTC) Products
Are Over-the-Counter Products Effective for Face Whitening?
Yes! Over-the-counter products can be effective for face whitening, especially when used consistently over time.
Vitamin C Serums
Vitamin C serums are rich in antioxidants and can help brighten and even out skin tone. Apply a few drops of vitamin C serum to your face daily for best results.
Niacinamide Creams
Niacinamide creams are effective in reducing hyperpigmentation and improving overall skin texture. Apply niacinamide cream to your face twice daily for maximum benefit.
Alpha Arbutin Lotions
Alpha arbutin lotions inhibit melanin production, making them effective in reducing dark spots and pigmentation. Apply alpha arbutin lotion to your face daily for best results.
Professional Treatments
When Should You Consider Professional Treatments?
If home remedies and over-the-counter products fail to provide the desired results, it may be time to consider professional treatments. Here are some options to consider:
Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are a popular cosmetic treatment that involves applying a chemical solution to the skin, which causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. This process removes the outer layer of damaged skin, revealing a smoother, brighter complexion underneath.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy uses focused light to target and eliminate pigmented cells in the skin. It is a highly effective treatment for various skin pigmentation issues, including sunspots, age spots, and melasma.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that exfoliates and removes the superficial layer of dry, dead skin cells. It is an effective treatment for reducing the appearance of dark spots, fine lines, and acne scars.
Cryosurgery
Cryosurgery is a procedure that uses extreme cold to destroy abnormal or diseased tissue, including dark spots and pigmented lesions. It is a quick and relatively painless treatment option for skin pigmentation issues.
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy involves injecting platelet-rich plasma derived from the patient's own blood into the skin. It stimulates collagen production and helps improve skin texture and tone.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a technique that involves injecting a series of vitamins, enzymes, hormones, and plant extracts into the skin to rejuvenate and tighten it. It is an effective treatment for reducing pigmentation and achieving a brighter complexion.
