Replying to this here so it doesn't get lost in the other person's post but aw man I hope it turns up for you someday. ;w; I probs woulda loved to see that drawing of ST1X regardless of how confident you felt about it but I understand, I often got nervous drawing fanart for other people too. Also it's sad to lose old art, I've lost a ton of notebook drawings and loose leaf printer paper art from my late teens/early 20s because 1) I moved around a lot in my life so a lotta stuff got shuffled around and 2) there's SO MUCH STUFF I never posted. OCs that I maybe drew once or twice, beta versions of what would eventually become a few of the characters I currently have, one-off drawings I made on a whim or because I was bored in class...

I think it was because at the time, back on dA, it got to the point where there were so many eyes on my work that I got scared if people would like something or not, or if a piece was 'finished-looking' enough, and it was kinda paralyzing... so there were years where I would post maybe a fraction of what I drew. x_x In hindsight I was deffo overthinking it, but that's hindsight for ya.

I know some of it's still around somewhere, probably in an old banker box in storage, but other drawings got destroyed for sure because I carried them around in a notebook too much and the graphite smudged off from the paper rubbing together. It's sad to think about, but at least that was only a small number of drawings before I made an effort to clean out my notebooks of loose paper more often. .w.

I'm a lot more careful with my drawings now and make backups of backups (my webcomic is backed up in at least 5 different ways right now!) but idk... maybe if I can dig up some of my old paper drawings one day I'll post 'em or something, might be fun.

We are going back home tomorrow and Misha is worrying about how the hecc she will pack the capotes from yesterday in her bags 🐭💼❓ Hmmm... She will probably figure it out by tomorrow! She'll just take a nap and figure it out later XD

This is what i got from yesterday's flea market:

There were none in the medium size, but these seem a better fit for the Boxy girl scaled dollies. These were 3 euro each, so i got 4 in all diferent colors. Blue bc its my fav color. A beige and grey one bc neutral colors are always good. And fierce red bc it will fit Maxi Misha very well in the winter :D she was the one who kept me company afterall!

Snail Mail Wanted

|| ~ Millennial Bookworm & Fangirl ~ || I thought I'd try Tumblr because IG penpal community seems too intimidating. Everyone has such gorgeous letters and I am one very tired millennial who doesn't have time for artistic and scrapbooky-like envelopes and letters. In saying that, however, I do enjoy writing 10 page letters of anything and everything and nothing all in one. The type of letter where, as soon as you see my letter arrive in the mail, you know to put a cup of tea on and get settled in... and it's like I'm there talking your ear off. (Which is hilarious because I'm a massive introvert who doesn't do that in real life. Unless I'm comfortable enough in your presence and you'll get that crackhead goblin energy from me). I do want to say that I would prefer writing with someone between the ages of 23 - 35. I feel like that's a good age bracket to vibe with, as I certainly don't act my age. So if you're expecting a wise, old woman. That ain't me. Wise? No. Old? ...well being 30 does feel old. Obviously I want to state that: Please do not expect fancy letters, or scrapbook-y decorated letters. I don't have the time or budget to maintain that. I just miss simple, long(ish) handwritten letters. That's it. With the added surprise of a few photos sometimes. Whilst I live comfortably, I am still someone on a budget, so sending parcels is just not doable for me, so if that's also what you're expecting...please find someone else. I would love, love, LOVE to be able to send Parcels but it's just not financially feasible. Alright... Now that we kinda know what to expect from my side of things... onto the daunting 'About Me' section! Hi. My Name is Charlotte. I am 30 years old, from Australia. I am a massive fangirl who jumps fandoms every six months or so but circles back to old fandoms too. I have 3 or 4 Tumblr Blogs floating around dedicated to Fanfiction etc for specific fandoms. I love reading! I have my own lil IG bookstagram account. But it's more to keep myself accountable for actually reading, rather than giving forth my opinion/review and annotating stuff (I don't know how to annotate). I've gotten back into reading after losing out on that long-lost hobby of many years ago. I am a creator of characters. I create and write OCs alongside my friend. 'Roleplay', it's called. But in written form. I love to play video games but I totally suck at them. However, it doesn't stop me from playing. I've also been wanting to get back into Animal Crossing to redo my Island but it feels too overwhelming to do that XD I used to do snail mail before Covid but...y'know...Covid happened and life got turned upside down for everyone. And then, I guess, 2023 became that 'healing back-to-normal' phase. So I guess...as we enter 2024, I think I'd like to have a penpal or two. I don't want to be part of anyone's collections. If you have five penpals already, please don't add me to the list. I'd like one or two because it feels like we're building a meaningful friendship, and I'd 100% like that. I would love to find a penpal from Scotland and Greece, but that's also not a necessary requirement. Anywhere is fine! Erm... I don't know what else to write? If I write too much about me, I'll have nothing left to write in letters. If I write too little here...I'll sound boring as hecc! (Which I am, but that's beside the point). OH! I guess...one thing I do enjoy collecting is coin from other countries. So... y'know...Ka-ching! but with coins. Not notes. I know life is expensive. I couldn't send a $10 note to you because... that $10 could be used! Um...What I'm currently into? Hobby-wise: Books! I do play D&D (Dungeons & Dragons). I am into Formula 1, I love my racing boys and have created my own F1 world with my friend (OCs!). I'm also into Band of Brothers, Generation Kill, Top Gun & Top Gun: Maverick. Hecc yeah, Tuesday! Time for another prompt! :D This one is based off that post going around about how someone wants to recruit a stranger to go to couple's therapy with them to see how long it takes the psychologist to figure out they don't know each other, lol. That, but with DBH. Sorta. XD

Prompt: After yet another altercation between Connor and Gavin, Fowler is at his absolute limit. He can't have his detectives at each other's throats all the time like this, it's affecting the entire precinct. And, since they can't seem to work this out themselves like adults, he orders them to attend mandatory therapy sessions.

Gavin of course raises a stink but it's his job on the line so he'll do what he has to. Connor acquiesces more gracefully, though he makes a point of saying that he feels the fault doesn't lie with him. (Even though it definitely does sometimes when he's the one to provoke Gavin, lol.)

Cue them being given their appointments. Cue the secretary misunderstanding what they're coming in for. Cue them assigning them the same time slot. With the same doctor. For couple's counseling.

When Gavin and Connor arrive at the therapist's office for their appointment, they're both aggrieved and appalled to see each other in the lobby. Even more so when their names are called together for their appointment. But Fowler made it clear what needs to happen for them to remain on the force, so who are they to argue when they're seated in the same office and their appointment begins?

Thus, they embark on the long and arduous journey of working through their issues, realizing maybe they're not as terrible as each other thinks, and slowly bonding over their similarities. All the while, the therapist is losing their gd mind at how absolutely blockheaded this disaster couple is, lol. XD

I was thinking about the night after the first performance they had together.

Kindlin waits around for a few minutes to see if her mom showed up. She watched as each of the cast members meets with their parents, then sees Cirrus hugging Breeze. She waits around for a moment, picks up a rose off the floor, and starts to play with the petals. She's fine, at least she's around her friends. And Cirrus looked so happy…

She's broken out of her focus by a voice. "Hey Kinny, you did great tonight. Even with the whole.. sabotage thing."

Kindlin sat up and smiled widely. "You kidding me?? You stole the show. I could hardly remember my lines because I was so focused on you… you're so passionate when you're up there." Kindlin popped the lovesick bubble she was in when she heard herself say that. "I-I mean, you're a really good singer."

Cirrus would have swooned more from her compliments till she realized she was standing here all alone. "Is your Mom running late?"

Kindlin's smile falls for a moment before she plasters a fake one on. "Ohh you know.. she just got off a plane yesterday. She's probably catching up on sleep." Kindlin looked around for a way to change the subject before lifting her hand with the rose up to Cirrus. "H-here. I think most of the roses were for you anyways." Kindlin goes back to her real smile slowly as she hands it to her.

Cirrus looked down at the flower she was giving and twirled it around in her fingers. She may have only caught up with Kindlin in just a few months but she's pretty sure she knew well enough when she was putting up a front. She looked back at her Granny (who had her comically large glasses that she needed when she drove) asking a silent question. Breeze just smiled and gave a small nod. Witch in turn made Cirrus's smile grow. "Me and Granny decided to celebrate the first play being finished at home with a good dinner and a movie. And well, if it's not too much to ask, and if your mom's ok with it. You think you would like to come over and celebrate with us. You did help save the show, I think you deserve it."

Kindlin's flame got a little bigger and she smiled. "Oh she won't mind. But.." Kindlin blushed a little and took off the fake horns she'd been wearing. "Are you sure that's ok? I don't wanna intrude on your family time." She kicked the floor gently as a way of expelling her nerves

Cirrus gave a short giggle. "I doubt she'll mind. Granny! Can Kinny come over tonight?" Breeze hid the amusement in her eyes with her glasses. "Of course, as long as she brings a big appetite and likes 1960's romance films." She chimed.

Cirrus: What do you say? 🙂

Kindlin jumped on Cirrus in a hug and nodded vigorously. She was all smiles the rest of the night She didn't even mind watching romance movies

Omg this is perfect set up for them to be cuddled up on the couch watching the rest of a romance movie Breeze fell asleep halfway through.

Kindlin silently sliding her hand into Cirrus as a character on the TV says something she really wish she could say to the girl next to her. Then Cirrus looks at her and the other character on the TV responds just how Cirrus might. They just keep looking at each other, silent because they're both lost on what to say.

That's when the credits end and the VCR player screen turns blue, snapping them both out of the trance and sending them into a flustered mess of words and getting up to go to bed.

Both of them tossing and turning because they don't know what the hecc just happened and can't sleep now XD

Breeze knew what she was doing. It was all a set up!

Hecc, uh. Doing the last year of college, and I'm kinda looking forward to actually working tbh. And I'm almost done with a comm sheet. Like. An actual sheet that looks good and presentable. Can't really settle on the communication method, like mail/discord/tumblr, or a Google Forms thing. The latter is probably safer security-wise, and less of a direct confrontation than yeeting an email.

I dunno. It's 5:47 AM where I'm at, my brain hasn't defrosted yet and i've been awake for less than an hour.

Duke, i hope you're doing good. And i wish you cooperation from your muse, and as much write juice as you need. Keep raining violence and angst upon the Lupin fandom, it's healthy :3

Ok for the day it fell apart. Why did Andre get kicked out of the village?? Why would his dad do that to him 😫

And please tell me more about who Andre is. Likes dislikes strengths weaknesses etc.

Also is this like taking place in our world where big modern cities are swallowed up like NYC, London, Beijing etc and then like we get pre-colonial America, old monarchy in Britain, and ancient China sorta thing-or is this like—a world you made up? (Also those settings are just examples that I came up with at the top of my head not literally where your story is taking place haha)

I guess my question is tell me more about the setting please and what city were swallowing it up and what it’s being replaced with??

HECC yeah!! This is an epic ask.

Starting off, Andre is one of the four main characters. He’s the main perspective character. (His grandpa is the other main perspective character and the chosen one of this story)

Andre is a very prideful guy, as is his dad. They’ve been fighting back and forth for control of the village and finally had a huge fight about Andres mother, who had been gone on a trip when the apocalypse thing happened. His dad can’t let go of her and was very angry everytime anyone brought up the fact that his spouse or any other missing and unaccounted spouse was probably dead. Others in the village were moving on with their lives and he couldn’t really handle it.

Andre confronted his dad, Lowe, basically telling him to get out of way or get over his grief so he can properly lead the village. Lowe and him had a shouting match in the rain and Lowe yelled at Andre to just leave the village if he was going to be uncooperative and Andre decided to just do so.

It was a mutual kicking out, you could say.

Andre himself is a strong willed guy. He’s prideful, a good leader, but is a bit rash. He likes to get things done right now, even if that means he goes into a situation unprepared. He keeps getting away with this because he is a quick thinker and a good leader so he can drag people with the right tools and talents in to help him if he finds himself underprepared.

As for the setting, it does take place in a world similar to ours. At one point, there was biological magic and crazy spells and swords whatnot, but when the world switched magic systems to the harnessing of electricity and what not, the magical creatures and their cities were swallowed deep in the planet, humans left behind because they were not biologically magic in nature (except for a few.)

Now, the magic system is switching again, so everything that was swallowed up the first time is getting spat out, and everything that had been made since then is being swallowed, leaving the humans alone again. The main characters live in a place where there wasn’t much settlement before so only a few villages of magic pop up in the area while the towns are swallowed. The valley this takes place in is based on my favorite place in wyoming and the type of people there. Basically a string of small towns sandwiched in the mountain range.

I was originally gonna put it in a city, but then I realized that every apocalypse story does that and I also have never been to a big city so I wouldn’t know how to write it XD

Hell nah. I do 𝘕𝘖𝘛 envision them to be romantic around each other. That'd be wa-hayyyyyyy too abusive and tormenting, considering how much of a pawn Adina treats Fitch as.

AND my HC's are super different from how I view their relationship too. Heck, I literally see Adina as a "Joan Crawford" or "Belos" towards Fitch, AKA super abusive manipulative parent, or person who raised him and the rest of the dragon bros.
