Best Friend’s Brother | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: Best Friend’s Brother
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: When Y/N comes over to stay at the Burrow for the summer, she meets her best friend’s older brother and starts to catch feelings.
A/N: I don’t know if I was able to live up to the sexual tension, but I tried.
“Will you please stay over for the summer?” My best friend, Ron, pleaded for what seemed like the umpteenth time of the day.
I gave a small laugh, “Come on Ron, I don’t want to be a bother.”
“You won’t be a bother.” He insisted, “Besides, mum has been bugging me about inviting you over.”
I contemplated it for a moment. I had heard amazing stories from Harry and Hermione about spending the holidays at the Burrow. So, the idea didn’t seem so bad after all.
“Fine.” I said, “But, if you’re family doesn’t like me, I’m blaming you for having me tag along.”
He rolled his eyes, “My family will just adore you. Trust me.”
“I’ll hold you to that.”
--
That’s how I ended up standing in front of the Burrow, looking up in awe at the house.
“Are you going to come in? Or are you going to stand there gaping all day?” Ron asked impatiently.
I chuckled, “I’m sorry. I just can’t believe I’m really here.”
He rolled his eyes, “You’re acting worse than somebody meeting their partner’s family for the first time.”
I smacked his arm, “Just wait until you’ve gotten the guts to ask Hermione out, then you’ll know how it feels.”
Harry put a hand on my shoulder, “Don’t worry, Molly would love you, just wait and see.”
Ron knocked on the wooden door, “Mum! They’re here!”
The door swung open, and Mrs. Weasley could be found standing by the doorway, greeting us with a warm smile.
After giving her son a hug, she gave Harry one too.
When she spotted me, she gave a huge smile as she pulled me into one of her famous bone crushing hugs.
“You must be Y/N!” She said, “I’ve been telling Ron to invite you over. I don’t know what took that boy so long.”
I chuckled, “It’s mostly my fault Mrs. Weasley, I didn’t want to be a bother.”
“Nonsense.” She said, “And please dear, call me Molly. Mrs. Weasley makes me feel old. Now, come on in, you and Harry must’ve been tired.” She then ushered us into the Burrow.
I got introduced to the rest of the family, Ginny immediately launching herself into my arms as soon as she saw me.
Even though I was in the same year as Ron, Ginny and I had a very close bond.
“Where’s Hermione?” The youngest Weasley asked her brother.
Ron shrugged, “She’s coming over the day after tomorrow.”
“Who have you brought home ickle Ronniekins?” A teasing voice called from the staircase.
Two identical looking gingers appeared into the kitchen, I assumed that they were the twins.
They had quite a reputation at Hogwarts, though I have never met either of them in person.
“Why, is this the famous Y/N, mum always wants to invite?” One of them asked.
“Of course, it is. Who else would it be?” The other one said.
The taller twin stepped forward, taking my left hand as he grazed his lips along my knuckles, “I’m Fred, darling, and obviously I’m the better-looking twin.”
Ron rolled his eyes, ‘Stop flirting, will ya?”
“I’m not flirting,” Fred retorted, “I’m just making a good impression.”
“Don’t worry about them.” Fred’s twin, the one I now knew was George, stood by my side, “They’re always like that.”
I laughed, “I figured.”
--
It was the crack of dawn, since my insomnia refused to let me get anymore sleep, I decided to head down and read.
I turned another page on the book that Hermione had recommended me: Five Feet Apart. True to her word, it was a really good book.
“What are you reading?” a deep, yet familiar, voice asked.
I looked up, seeing Fred with a soft smile, unaware to the fact that he had been right in front of me.
“A book.” I answered, “What else would I be reading?”
His laugh awakened thousands of butterflies in my stomach. The way his hair was slightly tousled, the way his smile seemed to brighten up the dim room.
Merlin, out of everyone in the whole bloody world, why does Ron have to be the one with the hot older brother.
“I was asking about the title, darling.” He said.
I smiled, “It’s Five Feet Apart. Hermione recommended it to me.”
“What’s it about?” Fred asked.
I raised a brow at him, “Since when did you become interested in books?”
He gave a sheepish grin, “Since I saw you so engrossed in it just moments ago.”
I felt my cheeks heat up at the realization that he had been watching me all along, “Well, it revolves around these two people who have the same illness, and they have to be six feet apart at all times. But the two main characters decided to be rebellious and take back a foot, thus the title: Five Feet Apart.”
“That sounds interesting.” Fred commented, resting his cheek on his hand, maintaining eye contact, “Mind reading it to me sometime?”
I giggled, “Of course.”
“Woah, woah.” A voice suddenly said, causing the both of us to jump, “Get a room you two, seeing you two flirting isn’t what I wanted to see first thing in the morning.”
“Oh, shut up Ron!” I chastised, raising the book to cover my bright red cheeks as I saw Fred’s cheeks were painted with a light shade of pink.
--
The boys were out in the backyard playing Quidditch, while Hermione, Ginny and I were inside catching up.
I was seated by the window, having the perfect view of the game happening outside.
Fred could be seen zooming around on his broom as they passed on a ball to each other. His hair was slightly sticking to his forehead due to the sweat. The shirt he was wearing clung on tightly to his body, the faint outline of his chest slightly visible.
I had realized that I had zoned out on the full conversation until I heard somebody say, “So, yeah, Ginny will be marrying Harry tomorrow.”
I automatically nodded, “Yeah, that’s great.”
That was until I realized what they had said.
“Wait what?” I asked, finally turning my attention back to them, “Who’s marrying who?”
Hermione and Ginny started bursting into laughter.
“Don’t worry,” Hermione reassured, “No one’s getting married.”
“But” Ginny said with a cheeky smirk, lacing her hands together in an intimidating matter, “It did seem that you had zoned out and couldn’t stop staring at Fred.”
“What? No!” I said defensively, “I wasn’t staring at Fred.”
“Oh yeah?” Hermione teased, cocking her head to the side, “So, who were you staring at?”
“Um. George. I was staring at George.”
Hermione and Ginny shared a look, “What color is the shirt George was wearing then?”
I looked out the window, but I couldn’t spot George anywhere.
“Green?” I guessed, hopefully I was right.
“Wrong,” Ginny said, “He’s wearing a blue shirt.”
“What color is the shirt Fred’s wearing?” Hermione asked.
“Red.” I automatically answered without a second thought, blushing slightly as the two girls gave me knowing grins.
Hermione squeezed my hand, “Come on, just admit it. It’s just the three of us here anyway. It’s not like Ginny and I would announce your secret to the world.”
I sighed, “Okay, fine, I do fancy Fred. Happy now?”
Ginny squealed, “I knew it!”
“Besides,” Hermione said with a small smile, “you and Fred would make a cute couple.”
(Fred’s POV)
The girls were chatting inside while we were playing Quidditch.
I couldn’t keep my eyes off Y/N, the way her hair cascaded over her shoulders effortlessly. The way her smile seemed to outshine the sun itself, the way her eyes sparkled like diamonds while she laughed.
My thoughts were interrupted when the ball hit me in the chest, “Hey! What was that for?”
My twin rolled his eyes, “In case you were too captivated by Y/N’s beauty Freddie, let me remind you that we are playing Quidditch.”
“Do us all a favor will ya?” Ron shouted from George’s side, “Just ask her out so all of us won’t have to suffer from your longing glances and your mutual pining!”
I snorted, “Give me a break Ron. She’s your best friend.”
Ron rolled his eyes, “So what? If you need my blessing so badly, then you have it!”
“And” I continued, “Why would she ever like me, Ron?”
Harry spewed out the water he was drinking, “You’ve got to be kidding me, Fred! That girl is basically head over heels in love with you. We can all see it in her eyes.”
“You guys really think so?” I asked.
George clapped my shoulder, “We know so.”
We then headed inside, only being able to catch a snippet of the girls’ chat.
It was Hermione who said, “… would make a cute couple.”
“Who would make a cute couple?” I asked as I stood behind Y/N’s chair.
(Reader’s POV)
“Who would make a cute couple?” I heard a voice behind me suddenly say as I took a glance and saw Fred.
Great. Just great.
Ginny opened her mouth to say something when I answered for her, “We were talking about how Hermione and Ron would make such a cute couple.”
Fred gave a small chuckle, “I can’t say I don’t agree.”
“Hey!” Hermione complained as we all bursted into hysterics.
--
It was now one of the last few weeks of summer. So, we decided that we wanted to make the most of them.
Tonight, we were going to have a movie night for the film adaptation of Five Feet Apart.
I was getting the popcorn from the kitchen when the stars decided that I would bump into no other than Ron’s hot older brother, Fred Weasley.
And the stars may have forgotten to mention that I would literally fall into his arms.
“Careful there, love.” He said with his signature smile.
I giggled, “Sorry, I could be a bit clumsy sometimes.”
He shrugged, “We all have our days.”
“So, how’s your stay here been?” He asked after a period of silence.
“It’s absolutely wonderful.” I said with a small smile, “I really enjoyed spending the summer here.”
“Can I ask you something?” He suddenly said.
I nodded, “Sure.”
“Why have you been a bit jumpy around me? Do I intimidate you or anything?”
I bit my lip, thinking about my answer for a minute.
Well, I couldn’t just say, No, I just have this massive crush on you. That’s why.
“What was that?” Fred suddenly said.
I looked at him, slightly confused, “What was what?”
“What you just said.”
I silently cursed myself, in my daze, I must’ve muttered the thought instead of keeping it to myself.
“It was nothing.” I said, feeling a blush rising to my cheeks.
He raised an eyebrow as a cheeky smirk grew on his lips, “Oh yeah? Then if it’s nothing then why are you blushing like mad?”
“I-I’m not.” I managed to stutter out.
“Darling, your face is as red as my hair now.” He said, advancing towards me, causing me to walk back until I hit the wall.
“So,” He said, “Are you gonna tell me now?”
I licked my lips, “No, because there’s nothing to tell.”
Fred slowly leaned forward to the point that I could feel his breathe fanning over my face, “What if I kiss you? Then you’ll tell me?” He whispered.
“Even if you do kiss me,” I said, “there’s nothing to tell.”
His lips brushed against mine, my breathe hitching in my throat, “Well, I guess I’ll have to wait it out then.”
He stood up, his eye dropping into a wink before walking out of the kitchen, leaving me flustered and my heart hammering in my chest.
Ron entered the kitchen, taking the popcorn bowl from the counter, “If the two of you continue being the oblivious idiots you are, I have half a mind to lock you in a broom closet until you confess your undying love for each other.”
I snatched the popcorn bowl from him, “Oh piss off.”
--
We would be heading back to Hogwarts tomorrow, I was in Ginny’s room, packing up the rest of my things.
I heard a small knock preceded by Harry poking his head through the small gap in the door, “Hey Y/N, Fred asked for you.”
“Really?” I asked, “Why?”
He shrugged, “He didn’t say.”
After thanking him, I headed up to the twins’ room, fiddling with the end of my shirt nervously.
I tentatively knocked on the door, hearing a faint “Just a minute.” Before the door opened and Fred leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest.
“You called for me?” I said.
He nodded, running a hand through his hair, “Yeah. I just wanted to tell you something for a long time and I really hadn’t worked up the courage for it until now.”
“So, what is it?”
He took a deep breath, “I have developed a liking to you over the summer, a different kind of liking. But I understand if you don’t feel the same, being Ron’s best friend and all. But I hope that it doesn’t- “
I rolled my eyes, pressing our lips together to cut off his ramble. His hands immediately flew to my waist as he deepens the kiss.
Once we pulled away to take a breather, I smiled up at him, “I love you too.”
He chuckled, “This is officially the best day of my life.”
“Finally!” A voice said causing us to pull apart, “Thought I’d have to lock you two in a broom closet.”
Fred rolled his eyes at his brother, “Oh piss off Ron!”

Hey hey, can you write me a Fred Weasley x reader one shot about their first date? Maybe to the three broomsticks, love ya!
I’m not qualified to write about dates lmao, but I tried for you!
Dates are awkward. And okay, maybe it was just because you’re awkward or because you were expecting something more grand and fun, but either way, the tension was building in the Three Broomsticks. You awkwardly slurped your butterbeer. Fred awkwardly slurped his. He caught you looking at him and gave you a wink and then immediately looked away. And bloody hell, how did this ever happen? What happened to the Fred that bewitched his own broom to leave trails of red, the Fred that proceeded to fly and flip and turn and draw some awful pictures in the sky of what you guessed was a girl and a boy and a heart and a scribble that was maybe meant to say “date.” He had probably meant to embarrass you but you hadn’t let him live it down.
That Fred was mysteriously absent, and instead you got the Fred that glanced away every time you looked him in the eye. It didn’t take long for you to get fed up. With him not looking at you, it was no trouble at all to pull your wand out under the table and begin casting non-verbally. And he didn’t even notice when you took a candy from your pocket and dropped it into his drink when he looked away.
After that it was just waiting. You smiled at him and he cleared his throat. He grabbed his drink and took a long sip. And then he coughed. Just a little cough. Barely noticeable at all really. And then he coughed again. And again. A couple more times. He grabbed the butterbeer again and took another sip to calm the coughing, flushing red. He coughed louder and a puff of smoke escaped his mouth.
He didn’t understand what was happening until within the minute, every cough brought a cacophonous bang! and an explosion of fireworks from his throat, and then other students pointed and laughed with comments of “serves him right!” and “no way those are fireworks” and “who the hell managed to get the drop on a Weasley?” and, your favourite, a deadpan “George looks pretty good with fireworks coming out of his mouth.”
Fred shot to his feet and the entire pub burst into laughter. His pants had been turned into clown pantaloons, far too large and brightly striped. They were glowing and changing colours with the fireworks. Fred fell over in his own surprise and knocked the chair sideways, and before you realized, you were on the floor too in laughter.
Oh, the bartender came by and pushed you both out the door, but the laughter continued outside, with Fred barfing fireworks into the white and snowy day. He realized it was your fault quickly, and before you knew it you two were rolling in the snow, him trying to bury you in white while he came up with a counterattack, digging into his pockets to find a candy to force you to eat.
Students gathered to look and you paid them no mind. Your whole world was in front of you—covered in white snow and ginger hair, an explosion of fireworks and glowing pantaloons—and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Note from the author: I don’t know how dates work but I guess Fred got nervous, whelp. This is likely the beginning of a prank war that lasts a very. long. time.

I would be glad to give you a certain one shot. I was hoping that you could write one where y/n (or My name Jade) was Remus's little sister and he introduces her to the marauders for the first time and they are all in her face asking her questions and teasing him about how he has a little sister. And she is kind of nervous around them but eventually she warms up Thank you so much!!!
“Jade lupin?” You walked up the stairs and sat on the chair “ ah another lupin ” “GRIFFINDOR” the sorting hat yelled resulting in a whole table bellowing
You walked over to the table and sat down shaking hands and getting to know everybody. Till 4 boys sat on either side of you “so this is Remus sister” “Ayy mooney how come we’ve never met her till now” “might be cause they look nothing alike and he thinks he’s got compitison” you were listening to all these comments getting thrown back and forth to your brother making you feel flustered. So you got up and walked out of the great hall and basically went to explore around the castle. You found yourself at the Griffindore common room Trying to remember the password “Oh hey jade. Forgot the password ? "Don’t worry prongs couldn’t Remember the password till 2nd year” once they had said the the password you all walked in you sat in the arm chair and the boys sat in the sofa opposite Remus coughed “so I haven’t really introduced all us then so this is James Peter and Sirius-”“So prongs, wormtail and padfoot "you said with a smug smile "I like her ” Peter spoke up —-I hope you like it i enjoyed writing this so thank you for requesting yet I’m sorry it was late x

I Told You to Behave | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: I Told You to Behave
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: We all know that Fred has trouble behaving
A/N: A huge thank you to Holly for sending me the prompt that inspired this fic! I had so much fun writing this and I hope that I did this justice.
As soon as I wrote down the concluding sentence of my essay, I threw my quill on the table as I leaned back on my chair, breathing a sigh of relief.
I then heard a small knock on the dorm room door, thinking it was one of my roommates I immediately answered, “Come in!”
But, instead of Angelina or Katie or Alicia, the person who came in was none other than my handsome, lovable, sweet, caring (and did I mention handsome?) boyfriend, Frederick Gideon Weasley.
I smiled, my mood immediately being uplifted, while I lazily pushed my chair away from the table, standing up and walking over to him as I wrapped my arms around his torso and breathed in his scent.
“Hey darling.” He cooed with a small smile, combing his fingers through my hair.
“What have you been up to?” He asked.
I looked up at him, “Just finished that 12-foot essay for Transfiguration.”
“How about you?” I then asked, “What brings you here?”
He raised a brow, “What brings you here? She asks. I missed you. Isn’t that obvious? Why else would I be here?”
I shrugged, giving him a small smile, “Dunno, maybe you need something from me?”
Fred gasped as he placed a hand over his heart, feigning offence, “How could accuse me of such a deed?! Honestly woman, you call yourself my girlfriend.”
I laughed, pressing a small kiss on his lips, “I’m just joking love. Besides, I know how clingy you could be.”
“Hey!” He protested, “You’re clingier.”
I stuck his tongue out at him, “Am not.”
“Yes, you are.”
“I’m not.”
“You are.”
“Am not.”
Fred rolled his eyes, knowing that I wouldn’t back down because of how stubborn I could get. He crashed our lips together, causing me to stumble back slightly from the force of the kiss.
He sunk his teeth on my bottom lip, nibbling it gently, causing me to moan softly against his mouth.
He placed a hand at the back of my head while I rested my hands on his chest. While he deepened the kiss we slowly walked backwards until my back hit the wall.
The two of us pulled apart, breathless and the temperature of the room rising up by a few degrees.
I looked up at him, feeling my cheeks being painted a tint of pink, “Is that your way of telling me to shut up?”
He grinned sheepishly, “Maybe?”
I giggled, “Then maybe you should shut me up more often.”
Fred smirked, leaning closer that I could practically feel his breath fanning over my face, “What if I shut you up now?”
I bit my lip, feigning innocence, “What’s stopping you?”
My boyfriend was about to reconnect our lips, when a knock on the door caused him to jump slightly.
“Oi Fred!” The familiar voice of his twin could be heard from the other side of the door, “Are you in there?”
Fred muttered something about wrong timing as he answered, “I’m kinda busy at the moment.”
“Well, now’s not the time to be making babies.” His twin retorted, “This product needs your immediate attention. Emphasis on immediate.”
“Why don’t attend to it?” Fred asked, rolling his eyes.
“I have a date with Angelina you oaf! Now, stop your baby-making, get your arse here and fix this.”
“Fine.” Fred huffed as he opened the door and took the box from George.
I sat down on the edge of my bed while Fred sat down on the floor and starting to figure out what was wrong.
“So much for the mood.” I said with a small laugh, moving to sit down in front of him.
“This fever fudge has been on trial for weeks.” He groaned, looking over the ingredients of the product again.
“What’s wrong with it?” I asked, resting my chin on the open palm of my hand.
He frustratingly ran a hand through his hair, making it even messier, “It malfunctions. Once you eat it, your temperature will rise up to 40 degrees. Then within mere minutes it’ll go back down to your normal temperature even without the cure.”
I reached out my hand, “Can I see the list?”
He nodded, handing me the piece of parchment as I read over the messy, but thankfully eligible, handwriting.
“That’s why.” I muttered once I’ve finished reading the whole list.
“What is it? What’s wrong?” Fred asked as I handed it back to him.
“You’re missing an ingredient.” I explained, “That’s why it malfunctions.”
“What ingredient?” He asked.
I shrugged, “Just a mandrake leaf. Though, I’ve run out of stock. I’ll go ask Hermione if she has some.”
We then started making the potion again, now all we needed was the mandrake leaf.
I walked towards the door and before leaving to Hermione’s dorm, I warned my boyfriend, “Whatever you do. Don’t add anything else to the potion. You behave until I get back with the mandrake leaf.”
Fred nodded, giving a mock salute, “Yes Ma’am!”
I playfully rolled my eyes at him before shutting the door behind me.
(Fred’s POV)
As soon as the door closed, I looked back down at the parchment in my hand, double checking the whole process to make sure that we did it right.
I took a glance at the bubbling potion that was sitting in the cauldron, that’s strange. If I wasn’t mistaken the potion had to be orange, not purple.
I went over the list again and thought that we’ve must’ve added a little less unicorn horn powder than required
Unscrewing the jar, I was about to add a dash of the powder when I stopped in my tracks remembered what my girlfriend told me.
“Whatever you do. Don’t add anything else to the potion. You behave until I get back with the mandrake leaf.”
I hesitated, the ladle hovering above the cauldron.
She did say that I should wait for her, but I’m pretty sure that nothing will go wrong if I just add a dash, right?
Right?
I sighed, quickly tipping over the ladle, watching the powder drop into the potion.
I waited a minute, but nothing seemed to happen.
At that moment, I realized that I should’ve listened.
Fireworks started to explode from the potion, bouncing off the walls and knocking stuff over.
Once the fireworks disappeared, the room was a mess. I mean a literal mess.
Before I could think of a solution to make it look like that nothing happened, I saw the door knob turn.
She was back. I was dead.
(Reader’s POV)
“Thanks Hermione!” I called after the girl as she headed down to Ron and Harry.
I then opened the door to my dorm, only to see a wreck in front of me and my boyfriend with the look of a guilty puppy.
“What in the name of Godric Gryffindor happened here Freddie?” I asked, staring at him agape.
He gave a shy smile, “I may have added a dash of unicorn horn powder to the potion.”
I glared at him as I took out my wand and waved it, the room cleaning itself up, “What did I say?”
He seemed to cower a bit, “You told me to behave.”
I crossed my arms over my chest, “And what did you do?”
Fred gave a small, innocent smile, “The exact opposite.”
I sighed, suddenly remembering my Transfiguration essay and rushing immediately towards the table. I let out a sigh of relief, seeing that the essay was perfectly fine. I tucked it away in my bag before any damage could be made.
I was aware of Fred staring at me with big doe eyes, silently begging me to forgive him.
I gave him the silent treatment, fixing up the rest of the stuff until the room was back to its natural glory.
I suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist, breathing in Fred’s scent as he rested his cheek on my shoulder, his hair tickling my ear.
I looked at him, once again seeing those big doe eyes.
“I’m sorry.” He said, almost in a whisper, “I should’ve listened to you.”
I licked my lips, “You’re lucky the essay I worked on for three hours didn’t get ruined.”
Fred’s eyes lighted up, “Do you forgive me?”
I playfully rolled my eyes at him, “I’m talking to you now, aren’t I?”
He chuckled, pressing a kiss to my cheek, “See? You can’t stay mad at me for long?”
I raised a brow at him, “You want to test that theory out?”
His eyes widened, shaking his head vigorously, “No thanks.”

Closer | F.W.

Title: Closer (High School!Au)
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: Fred Weasley is one of Hogwarts High’s most popular students. On the other hand, Y/N L/N is the school’s smartest. After the latter starts tutoring Fred, he starts to wonder why he had never noticed her before.
“I love you! No time to explain!”
Those were the words that started my relationship with Fred Weasley.
Nobody really expected that school’s smartest student would end up dating the most popular one.
But let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
--
It was started on a Monday morning at the Cafeteria.
“I thought you were supposed to call me?” My best friend, Jennie, said as she sat in front of me.
Unfortunately, I was too busy staring at the most popular (and most handsome) student in school, Fred Weasley.
I was pulled out of my trance by Jennie snapping her fingers in front of my face, “Hello? Are you even listening?”
I gave her a blank look, “Sorry, what did you say?”
“I thought you were supposed to call me?” She repeated.
I smiled sheepishly at her, “Sorry, I was in such a rush this morning that I forgot.”
“Now that’s resolved.” She said with a small smile, “Who were you busy staring at?”
My eyes widened at her words, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Jennie playfully rolled her eyes, “You fully know what I’m talking about.”
She then turned to look behind her, exactly in the direction I was looking at earlier.
“Ooh.” She mused as I felt my cheeks heat up, “You were staring at Fred.”
I looked down at my hands, “I wasn’t.”
“Come on.” She said, slightly leaning forward “It’s not like I’m a stranger. You know that you can tell me.”
I looked up at her, “You promise you’ll keep it a secret?”
Jennie laughed, “When did I ever share your secrets to anyone else? I didn’t even tell anyone about the party you threw while your parents were away.”
“Fine.” I said, “I have a thing for Fred.”
She squealed, “Do you want me to put in a good word for you? He’s in my friend group.”
“What? No.” I said a little too quickly, “Besides, why would he be interested in me?”
“Why not?” Jennie said, giving me a look, “You’re practically the smartest girls in this school, not to mention the prettiest one too!”
I scoffed, “The prettiest? You flatter me, Jennie.”
“What?” She said, “It’s true.”
I rolled my eyes at her, “Come on, we’ll be late for class.”
“Fine. Fine.” She tutted, “But I can always- “
“Jennie!”
“Okay! I get it, you think that you’re not good enough for him.”
I sighed, adjusting the strap of my bag on my shoulder, “It’s not that I think that I’m not good enough for him. It’s just that there are so many other better options that someone like him can choose from, and I’m not one of them.”
“Fine. Whatever you say.” She said as we entered the classroom.
--
Our Biology class was already dismissed for the day; I was packing up my stuff to leave when our professor called for Fred.
I already slung my bag over my shoulder, and I was about to head out of the door when our professor called me, “Miss L/N, can you stay back for a minute?”
I stopped in my tracks, turning around and slowly walking towards the desk where Professor Lupin and Fred were standing.
“Yes Professor?” I asked, slightly aware of Fred’s gaze on me.
“Mr. Weasley here may be having a bit trouble with the subject. Since you’re the best student in my class. I was hoping that you could tutor him?” He explained.
I swear that my heart started beating faster the moment he said that. He and Fred were looking at me in anticipation.
“S-sure.” I managed to stutter out, “T-that’ll be great.”
Professor Lupin smiled, “Brilliant. Just coordinate with each other what times would be convenient for the both of you. Now, you’re both dismissed.”
Fred and I headed out of the classroom together, walking in comfortable silence.
“Thanks.” He suddenly said, “For willingly spending some extra time so you could tutor me.”
I looked up at him for the first time since leaving the classroom, “Of course. Anything to help.”
He smiled, handing me a piece of paper, “My number’s written there. Maybe we could start this Friday, after class?”
I nodded, “Sure.”
“I’ll see you then.” He said before leaving me to go over to his friends.
I suddenly felt an elbow rest on my left shoulder as I gazed at the direction where Fred had gone.
“So,” A voice spoke, “Spill the tea.”
I turned and saw Jennie, sporting a grin.
“What tea am I going to spill? Chamomile? Mint?” I teased.
She rolled her eyes, gently pushing me as I laughed, “No silly, I’m talking about the tea on you and Fred. Though mint doesn’t sound too bad.”
“Well, Professor Lupin asked if I could tutor Fred and of course I agreed.” When I looked at her, she was gaping at me with anticipation.
“Go on.” She urged, “Continue.”
I shrugged, “That’s it, the end.”
“No way!” She said, “Come on, I know there’s so much more to that story. Don’t keep me in suspense.”
“That’s really it.” I said.
She huffed, “There’s no fun in that.”
--
Friday came faster than I expected.
I walked into the cafeteria, where I was supposed to meet up with Jennie after I spent free period in the library.
I saw Jennie, talking to Fred, twirling her hair around her finger while she laughed.
On the other hand, Fred smiled at something Jennie had said.
The exchange went on for a while, Fred tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear, to which she giggled.
I turned my back at the sight, shoving the hair out of my face as I started to make my way out of the canteen.
I just couldn’t believe it, after everything Jennie said, she was the one who had a thing for Fred all along.
I rushed to the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror, gathering up my composure and making myself look as presentable as possible before heading back to the canteen.
I saw Jennie sitting by our spot, once she spotted me, I gave her a small smile and sat right across her.
“Hey.” She said, “Where did you go? I saw you already arrived then the next minute you were gone.”
“Oh, I just went to the bathroom for a sec.” I said.
She studied me for a minute, “Have you been crying?”
You really can’t hide anything from your best friend, Jennie knew me too well.
“Yeah.” I admitted quietly.
She reached forward and squeezed my hand gently, “Why?”
“Because, um, remember the book that I read last week that made me cry?” I lied.
Jennie laughed, “Let me guess, you read it again?”
I chuckled, avoiding her gaze, “Yeah. I did.”
“Why did you reread it? I told you not to read it again.” She asked through fits of laughter.
“I’m sorry.” I said giving a chuckle, “I couldn’t help it.”
Jennie shook her head teasingly, “What am I going to do with you?”
--
I sat down at the far end corner of the library, tapping my fingers against the desk while I quietly hummed along to the song I was listening to.
To live for the hope of it all. Cancel plans just in case you'd call, and say, "Meet me behind the mall”.
I felt a small tap on my shoulder, I immediately pulled out one of the earphones and turned to see Fred standing behind me.
“Hey Fred.” I greeted as he sat down in the seat next to me.
“Hey.” He said, “So, can we get started?”
I stowed away my earphones in my backpack, “Sure. So, what topics do you need help with?”
He shrugged, taking about his textbook, “Our most recent lesson, the one about reproduction.”
That’s when we started.
“Mitosis basically involves the division of body cells and it produces two diploid somatic cells that are genetically identical to each other. On the other hand, meiosis involves the division of sex cells and it produces four haploid gametes that are genetically unique to each other.” I explained.
The ginger nodded, “So, mitosis produces identical cells while meiosis produces different ones.”
I smiled, “Exactly.”
Three hours later, Fred was able to grasp the concept.
“Thank you so much Y/N.” Fred said as we walked out of the library.
“No problem.” I said, “If you have any more questions, you can ask me anytime.”
With that note, we went on our separate ways.
--
The following weeks happened on the same routine, every Friday Fred and I would be at the library after class, working on whatever concept Fred couldn’t understand.
Later that month, we had a surprise pop quiz in Biology.
I was standing by the courtyard, taking a photograph of the sun as part of my project for photography club when I suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and lift me up in the air, spinning me around.
“Woah.” I said with a small laugh as whoever it was had finally put me down. I turned and saw Fred behind me, a big grin gracing his features.
“Hey Fred.” I said, hopefully that he’ll mistake my red cheeks for the heat, “What’s up.”
He grinned even wider, before pulling a piece of paper out of his bag and handing it to me.
I looked down at it, realizing that it was the pop quiz we had in Biology. And next to his name was the letter A in red ink.
“I got an A on the test.” He said, “I have never gotten an A before!”
I smiled at him, “Congrats! After all the hard work you’ve been doing, you totally deserve it.”
“Well, I wouldn’t have done it without you.” He said.
I chuckled, “I only helped you understand it, you were still the one who answered the test.”
“But I wouldn’t be able to answer it if you didn’t help me understand it.” He insisted, “And as a token of my appreciation, I got you this.” Fred then handed me a red box which contained chocolates inside.
“Thanks.” I said, looking up at him.
He chuckled, running a hand through his hair, “No, thank you.”
--
(Fred’s POV)
It’s been a month since I started having tutor sessions with Y/N. I know that she’s one of the smartest people in school, but I don’t know why I didn’t notice her before.
My siblings and I were hanging out by the courtyard, talking about the Biology lesson that had been discussed an hour ago.
“That lesson had been the easiest one ever.” George said.
“Yeah.” Ron agreed, “I have no interest in biology whatsoever, but I have to say this is the concept that I was able to grasp in one lecture.”
“How about you Freddie?” Ginny asked, “What did you think of the lesson?”
I nodded, half of my mind in a daze, “Yeah, it was easy.”
Then I saw Y/N passing by, unaware that I was cutting off a conversation my siblings were trying to get me engaged in, I called out her, “Hey Y/N!”
She turned her head towards me, “Yeah?”
“Can we meet up this Friday? I kinda got confused with the lesson today.” I requested.
She nodded, offering a small smile, “Sure. I’ll see you then.” She said before walking off to her best friend.
I couldn’t keep the smile of my face as I turned my attention back to my siblings, who were now gaping at me.
“What?” I asked.
“You just said no more than five minutes ago that you found the lesson easy and now you want to meet up with Y/N a.k.a. your tutor?!” He asked.
I felt my cheeks heat up as I looked down at my hands, not answering the question.
My sister nudged Ron, “Honestly Ron, are you that blind? It’s obvious that Freddie’s in love with Y/N.”
“Aaw.” My twin cooed, reaching forward to ruffle my hair, “Freddie’s in love.”
I swatted his hand away, “I’m not in love.”
Ginny snorted, “As if we’d believe you Freddie. With all the gifts you’re giving her? The chocolates? The flowers? You almost decided at giving her a necklace at one point. Don’t tell me that it’s ‘just a token of your appreciation’.”
“And the way you would never shut up about her? Please Fred, you could do some much better than that.” George chimed in.
I sighed, feeling the blush on my cheeks transition to a darker shade, “Okay fine. She’s this wonderful angel that I’m pretty sure dropped straight down for heaven. I’m such an idiot for not noticing her sooner. And, with prom coming up next week, I’ve actually been meaning to ask her.” I confessed.
--
(Reader’s POV)
Fred and I were sitting in the library, chatting with each other and not really getting any work done.
“Okay. Okay.” I said after recovering from a laughing fit after Fred told me a story of him and George during their younger years, “But, we have to start on whatever you don’t understand because that’s what we’re here for.”
Fred smiled, “Actually. I understood it just fine.”
I gave him a confused look, “Then why did you asked to meet up?”
He smiled, taking out a bouquet of roses and handing it to me, “Well, since prom is happening in a week. I was wondering if you would be my date?”
I stared at him, awestruck. The Fred Weasley, the most popular guy in school, wanted me to be his date for prom?
“As a friend?” I asked.
He licked his lips, fiddling with the end of his shirt, “Well, I was wondering if you could actually be my date. But if you want to go as friends then it’s fine.”
I grinned, standing up and pressing a kiss to his cheek, “I would absolutely love to.”
“Great.” He said, his cheeks being painted with a shade of crimson, “I’ll pick you up at eight?”
I giggled, “That sounds like a great idea.”
--
“My girl’s already grown up now.” My mum cooed, as my father put an arm around her while I walked down the stairs in my y/f/c prom gown.
“How do I look?” I asked nervously, biting my bottom lip.
“Sweetie, you look absolutely wonderful.” My father said, tucking a stray piece of hair behind my ear.
We suddenly heard the doorbell ring.
“Oh, he’s here!” My mum said as she opened the door, my father following suit.
From my spot at the staircase, I caught a glimpse of him. I swear, I could’ve fainted from how handsome he was.
“Is Y/N ready?” He asked, the grin evident in his voice.
My mum nodded, “Y/N, honey! Fred’s here!”
I came into view, Fred’s jaw visibly dropping as he saw me.
“Hey there beautiful.” He said, his eye dropping into a wink.
I smiled, looking down at my feet, “Thanks.”
He then offered his arm, and I took it as my mum said, “Have fun you two!”
Fred grinned, “We will!”
We both arrived at the venue an hour later.
We had a great time dancing the night away with no one else but each other.
Then came the moment wherein they would announce the prom king and queen.
“Now, I don’t want to keep you waiting anymore.” Professor Lupin said as one of the members of the student council handed him an envelope, “And the tonight’s prom king is none other than: Fred Weasley!”
A roar of applause echoed through the hall as I gently nudged Fred towards the stage as he was awarded with the sash and the crown.
From the rumors that I heard, Jennie was in the leading position for prom queen. So, I would exactly be surprised if she won.
“And now.” Professor Lupin continued as the roars and cheering died down, “For this year’s prom queen, it is none other than: Y/N L/N!”
What? I was prom queen? How did that happen?
Ginny nudged me gently, snapping me out of my thoughts, “Go on.” She urged, “They’re waiting for you.”
Fred was looking at me with a huge grin as I made my way to the stage, last year’s prom queen giving me the sash and the crown.
After the pictures has been taking, it was time for Fred and I to lead the first dance.
He lifted my hand and grazed his lips along the knuckles, “May I have this dance, my queen?”
I giggled, “Yes you may.”
--
As it grew deeper into the night, Fred and I were walking through the gardens under the starry sky.
“Thanks for being my date.” He said with a small smile.
“Of course, thank you for asking me.”
He ran a hand through his hair, “Well, can I confess something to you?”
I nodded, “Sure.”
Fred turned to face me and suddenly said, “I love you! No time to explain.”
Before I could even open my mouth to say ask what he meant, he suddenly crashed our lips together, my waist fitting perfectly into his hands as I wrapped my arms around his neck.
“Be my girlfriend?” He asked as we pulled apart.
I smiled, “I would want nothing more.”
Fred grinned as he started to attack my neck with open-mouthed kisses, “Think we should go somewhere private?”
“Absolutely.”
--
It was a week since prom, and it just proves that news and rumors travels fast around school.
“So Fred,” Jennie asked, twirling her hair around her finger, “I heard you have a girlfriend, who is the lucky girl?”
Fred caught my eye from across the way, beckoning me towards him.
“C’mere baby girl, don’t be shy.”
I smiled, walking towards him as he placed an arm around my waist and pressed a kiss on my cheek, causing my best friend’s jaw to drop.
Fred grinned, “I actually like to think that I am the lucky guy to be dating not only the smartest, but also, the prettiest girl in the school.”

When Dreams Meet Reality | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: When Dreams Meet Reality
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: Ginny and the rest of the gang are tired of Fred and Y/N being oblivious towards each other’s feelings. So, they formulate a plan to make them see that their dreams have met reality.
A/N: This is for @theweasleyslut‘s Birthday writing challenge. The trope is Bestfriends to Lovers and the prompts: “I turned out liking you more than I originally planned.” and “Not everything is a joke.”/”I’m not joking.”
“Here’s an idea, why don’t you just confess?” Ginny said as she plopped down on the space on the bed next to me.
I snorted, giving up on reading my book since the only thing that occupied my thoughts right now was my best friend, Fred.
“If only it was that easy Ginny.” I said, sitting up and throwing the book behind me in the middle of the bed.
“Please Y/N, believe me, he fancies you.” Ginny tried to convince me.
I chuckled, “Why in the name of Merlin would my best friend fall for me Ginny?”
She playfully rolled her eyes, “I don’t know, ask him. He is the one who can’t stop talking about you when you’re not here.”
I threw a pillow at her, “I’m not falling for that Gin.”
Hermione then came into the room, “Well, believe it or not Y/N it’s true. When you’re not here, Fred can’t stop going on about you.”
I sighed, standing up and placing the book back in my trunk, “You two have absolutely no idea how I wish that this dream would meet reality.”
The youngest Weasley offered me a small smile, “Maybe if you weren’t so oblivious sometimes, your wish would actually come true.”
She ducked as I threw another pillow at her, “What? I’m just saying.”
(Ginny’s POV)
“We’ve got to do something about this.” I told Hermione as we trudged down the stairs going to Harry and Ron’s room.
“I know right. I’m sick of the two of them being oblivious.” Hermione agreed.
We entered Ron’s room, to see him, Harry and George, talking among themselves.
Harry sighed, leaning back in his seat as he saw Hermione and I, “I’m so tired of hearing Fred whine about how much he wants Y/N but Y/N doesn’t like him.”
I sat down to next to him as Hermione settled down next to Ron, “Same here, I just want to lock the two of them in a closet until they confess their undying love for each other.”
George laughed, ‘That doesn’t seem like a bad idea at all.”
Hermione wore the expression she always wore when she was nursing a brilliant idea, “But we need to make sure the plan is fool-proof. We need to guarantee that it will work.”
As if I could read her mind at that moment I said, “Like a set-up.”
Hermione’s eyes lighted up, ‘Exactly!”
George gave me a proud smile, “I like the way you’re thinking Ginny.”
Ron clapped his hands together, “Finally, so what’s the plan.”
Harry sprung up from his relaxed position, “I was born ready for this.”
I smiled as we started to plot out our little operation.
--
“Mum! Mum!” I called out as I came bounding down the stairs to the kitchen.
“What’s the matter dear?” She asked, turning around to look at me properly.
“We have a plan to finally get Y/N and Fred together and we need your help.” I said, excitedly as I explained our plan to her.
A smile crept to my mum’s lips, “That’s a wonderful idea Ginny! It’s about time those two stopped being so oblivious.”
The plan was to be put in to motion later this day, we could only hope that the plan would be successful.
--
(Reader’s POV)
I woke up from my nap to the strangest thing ever, everything was quiet.
The thing is, it was never quiet at the Burrow. There was always the occasional chatter, the small explosions coming from the twins’ room. But today, there was absolutely nothing.
I went down to kitchen, thinking that they were all down there even if it was only 3:30 in the afternoon.
There was no one.
“Thank Godric!” Somebody suddenly said, making me jump, “someone else is here after all.”
I turned and saw Fred standing behind me, I ran straight into his arms as he hugged me protectively out of instinct. “Thank goodness, I was starting to think that all of you got kidnapped or something like that.”
Fred rubbed my back gently in an attempt to calm down my nerves, “Mum left a note on the table, something about her and dad going sightseeing in the muggle town along with the rest of the group leaving us here.” He said, handing me a piece of paper with Molly’s delicate handwriting written on it.
Dear Fred and Y/N,
Arthur, the rest of the family and I are going out for a bit of sightseeing in the muggle town. We’re leaving the two of you there by yourselves.
Fred, don’t burn the house down. Take good care of Y/N and don’t do anything too stupid.
Y/N, look after Fred, make sure he doesn’t burn the house down or do anything more stupid than he usually does.
We’ll be back soon! Enjoy the peacefulness of the house while you can!
Love,
Molly.
I chuckled, putting the note back on the table, “That explains it then.”
The both of us then plopped down on the couch, “So, what should we do while they’re gone?” Fred asked after a few minutes of silence.
I thought about it for a moment, “You wanna do some baking?”
A mischievous grin graced his already handsome features, “Mum did say to not burn the house down.”
I laughed, “I didn’t say anything about leaving you unsupervised.”
He placed a hand on his chest, a dramatic gasp escaping his lips, “Unsupervised? What am I a five-year-old?”
I playfully rolled my eyes at his antics, “No. But you surely act like one.”
His hands found its way to my sides as he began tickling me, “You’re so going to regret that love.”
I squealed as I tried to pry his hands away, only end up having him tickle me harder.
“Okay! Okay!” I almost screamed, giving into submission, “I take it back! I take it back!”
He sat up, finally getting what he wanted, his hair a little messed up from his little assault.
But in my eyes, he looked as handsome and hot as hell.
“Earth to Y/N.” His voice brought me out of my little daydream.
“Oh sorry.” I said, giving him an apologetic smile, “What were you saying again?”
“I was asking if you were still up for baking?” He asked.
“Yeah, of course.” I said, standing up as we walked to the kitchen.
We took out the necessary ingredients and started.
Everything was going well until I placed the cookie tray into the oven.
Fred suddenly grabbed a handful of flour and launched it at me.
“Oh, you little- “ I said, turning towards him with a small smirk.
He tried for an innocent smile, “What? I didn’t do anything.”
I raised a brow at him, “Oh yeah? Then how did I get covered in flour if we’re still not allowed to use magic outside of school?”
He shrugged, trying to keep up with his act, “I don’t know. Maybe it flew to you on its own.”
Fred didn’t notice that while he was trying to think of an excuse, I had discreetly dipped my hand into the flour, grabbed a handful and threw it towards him the same way he did to me.
As soon I launched my assault, I ran from the kitchen into the garden in order to escape.
But Fred, having the advantage of longer legs had managed to catch up with me as he grabbed me by my waist, causing a small fit of giggles be released into the air.
“You think you can get away with that sweetheart?” He asked, burying his head into the crook of my neck, having the butterflies in my stomach come to life.
I shrugged, trying to keep the blush that had risen up to my cheeks hidden from his view, “Maybe?”
We stayed in that position for a bit more, silence overtaking our surroundings.
“Can I confess something to you?” Fred suddenly asked, suddenly sounding serious for the first time in his life.
“Sure.” I said, feeling a bit worried with the fact that he was being serious.
“Over the years ever since I met you, I have found and still find you absolutely gorgeous, ravishing. In my eyes, every part of you is so bloody attractive and sexy.” He said before taking a deep breath and continuing, “I turned out liking you a lot more than I originally planned. What I’m trying to say is that I love you. More than as a friend. I love you more than anything else in the world.”
I looked longingly at him before pulling away from his grasp.
“Not everything is a joke Fred.” I said, even if my own words felt like stabbing myself in the chest with a knife. I made eye contact with him again, expecting to see the usual glint of mischief in his eyes. But there was none, not even a small sparkle.
Fred stepped forward, pulling me into his arms again, “I’m not joking. I joke about a lot of things baby but this is the one thing that I’ll never joke about.”
I looked up at him again, seeing the yearning in his eyes.
“Promise?”
“I promise.”
“So, can I?” He asked, slightly leaning forward. Since I had already gotten the gist, I tiptoed and met him halfway, crashing our lips together as he cradled me gently.
“About time!” The familiar voice of his twin whipped through the air, causing the two of us to pull apart. Now noticing that the whole Weasley family was back from their little sightseeing adventure.
Ginny ran up next to George, a huge grin plastered on her lips, “Yes! It worked! It worked!” She chanted in celebration.
“What worked?” Fred asked in confusion.
“Our little operation to set the two of you up.” George said with a proud smirk.
“Ginny thought of the whole thing.” Molly said, joining in.
“You know,” Hermione said, “I imagined a lot of scenarios of how this would end up, but seeing you two snogging in the garden covered in flour isn’t one of it.”
All of us laughed.
“Well Hermione,” I said with a small smile, “That’s what happens when dreams meet reality.”

Big News | Family of Four
Tumblr media
Title: Big News
Summary: After suddenly experiencing nausea and throwing up. Y/N discovers some big news that would change her and Fred’s life for good.
Warning/s: Mentions of pregnancy, throwing up, nausea, mentions of food, and mentions of hexing.
A/N: I am so nervous right now since this is my first series. Well, hope you guys enjoy it!
Series Masterlist
I groaned as I bent over the toilet for what seemed like the third time tonight.
“Love?” said the sleepy voice of my husband as he immediately appeared by my side, pulling my hair back into a makeshift ponytail as I emptied the contents of my stomach into the toilet.
“Are you okay?” He asked, concern lacing through his words as he rubbed my back gently.
“I’m fine.” I answered, trying to reassure him with a small smile.
He looked at me skeptically, Fred knew me even better than I knew myself. Perks of being best friends ever since we were eleven.
“You sure?” He asked. To which I answered with a small nod.
We settled back in bed minutes later, I fell asleep immediately, feeling slightly exhausted.
But little did I know, Fred did not fall asleep immediately.
Author’s POV
Fred stared at his wife, who was now sleeping peacefully by his side, his brow furrowed.
He didn’t know what was happening, she only started vomiting yesterday. And even that happened out of the blue.
She didn’t seem sick, one minute she would be fine then the next minute she would already be throwing up. She would also often wake up with a slight headache but later that day, she would be moving around like everything was alright.
As if feeling her significant other’s worry, Y/N mumbled a small, “Go to sleep Freddie.” making him chuckle as he pulled her closer to him and went to sleep.
Reader’s POV
“Are you sure that you’re okay doll?” Fred asked as I prepared to go out to meet up with Hermione and Ginny.
I nodded, sitting down on his lap, “I’ll be fine. I’m not porcelain Freddie. I won’t break that easily.”
He hummed, kissing my cheek, “I’m just worried about you doll.”
I giggled, “I’ll be fine Freddie. Don’t worry.”
--
Later on, as we had tea at Ginny and Harry’s flat, catching up with one another.
Despite the age differences between the three of us, we still grew up with the closeness of sisters. Being the only teenage girls at the Weasley household, we depended on one another, especially for comfort when the boys were being the daft idiots they were.
Everything was going well, until a wave of nausea came over me.
“Are you okay Y/N?” Hermione asked with a concerned look on her face.
I gave her a small smile, “I’m fine. I’ve just been a bit nauseous lately.”
Ginny furrowed her brows, “Have you been throwing up lately?”
I nodded, “It only started the other day.”
Hermione and Ginny exchanged a look, as if having a silent conversation.
“Have you had your period yet?” Hermione asked, having the same look she wore whenever she was close to figuring something out.
“No.” I said, shaking my head, eyes widening as realization struck me, “It’s late by two weeks.”
Ginny smiled, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking.”
Hermione had the same smile, “I am thinking what you’re thinking.”
She then turned to me, “Are you thinking what we’re thinking.”
I bit my lip, getting the gist, “I am. But do you really think that that’s the reason?”
Ginny stood up and with a flick of her wand, a drawer opened, and a pregnancy test flew into her open hand.
My two friends gave me an encouraging smile as I took the test from Ginny’s hand and headed to the bathroom.
Who knew that three minutes could feel so long? I nervously looked at the mirror. The test facing down as I gripped the counter so hard.
“What does it say Y/N?” Ginny asked softly.
“I haven’t checked it yet.” I said.
“You don’t have to rush it.” Came Hermione’s gentle voice, “Look at it when you’re ready.”
I took a deep breath, closing my eyes as I flipped the test over.
I bit my lips as I slowly opened my eyes to see the result.
Positive.
I opened the door, letting Hermione and Ginny in, knowing that they were also anticipating the result.
“What is it?” They asked as the same time as I pointed to the test.
They both squealed excitedly as they both engulfed me in a hug, my tears flowing down to my cheeks.
“What’s wrong?” Ginny asked, cupping my face in her hands, “Aren’t you excited?”
I sniffed, wiping the tears, “I am.” I said, “It’s just a bit hard to process the fact that I’m carrying your brother’s baby as we speak.”
Then I started to fidget with the hem of my shirt, “But what if Fred isn’t ready yet?”
Fred and I have been married for a year. Sure, we talked about having kids but, did he want them already?
“Hey, Fred would be over the moon.” Hermione said, comfortingly, “He always talks about having a mini-Fred and Y/Ns running around the house.”
I giggled, “Yeah, but what if he’s not ready yet?”
“Then, I will kick his arse and hex him senseless.” Ginny said, causing us to laugh.
After we had recovered from our laughing fit, Hermione asked, “How are you going to tell him?”
I smiled, “Well, let’s just say I’ll be needing your help.”
--
I apparated back to our flat, shouldering my bag nervously, knowing that it could contain the biggest and life-changing news of our lives.
“I’m home Freddie!” I announced as I closed the door behind me, taking a deep breath.
I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist as Fred buried his head in the crook of my neck.
“Hey doll. I missed you.” He said, placing kisses along my shoulder.
I giggled, turning around to face him, “I missed you too Freddie.”
“Come on.” He said, taking my hand, “I made dinner for us.”
I chuckled, “I’m hoping you didn’t burn down the kitchen.”
“You wound me love.” He said with a small smile.
Dinner was absolutely amazing. But my mind kept wandering to what had happened earlier.
“Princess?” Fred asked, causing me to be pulled back into reality.
“Are you okay? You seem distracted.” He said.
I chuckled nervously, tucking a stray piece of hair behind my ear, “I’m fine, Freddie. Everything’s all right.”
After a few minutes, I took a deep breath, gathering up all of my courage and said, “Fred, do you want to have kids?”
He took a sip of water as he smiled, “Of course love, what kind of question is that?”
I took out a small red box out of my bag and handed it to him.
“What’s this love? Hopefully, it’s not a prank right.” He joked.
His eyes scanned the contents of the box, his line of vision alternating between me and the test.
“Doll, this is not a prank isn’t it?” He said.
I bit my lip, shaking my head, “I’m pregnant Fred.”
He was speechless, it took a lot to make Fred Weasley speechless.
“You’re pregnant.” He repeated, standing up and lifting me up as he spun me around.
“I’m going to be a dad.” Fred smiled as he peppered kisses all over my face.
I giggled, “You’re not mad?”
He looked at me as if I dropped the moon, “What do you mean? Why would I be mad? This is the best day of my life.”
He put me down as he started bouncing on his heels excitedly, “Can we tell George now? Please?”
I smiled, “Yes, we can go tell George.”
He hurriedly took his wand as he interlaced our hands together and we apparated to George’s flat.
“Blimey!” George exclaimed in surprise, “Can’t you two bother to give a heads-up next time? I have a date with Angie in ten.”
Fred was bouncing off the walls, “Oh, you wouldn’t want to miss this Georgie. This is the best day of my life!”
“Well go on.” He said impatiently, “I don’t have all day, ya know.”
I playfully rolled my eyes, “But you have to promise us that this will only be between the three of us. You won’t tell anyone else until we tell you too.”
He nodded, “I promise. Now what is it?”
“Y/N is pregnant!” Fred exclaimed, obviously can’t keep his excitement in anymore.
“I’m going to be an uncle?” George exclaimed, as like Fred, he lifted me up and spun me around in a circle.
I smacked George at the back of his head, “I swear on all things holy, if you tell Angelina or anyone else before we give you the go signal. I will hex you.”
“Yeah, yeah. I promise.” George said, rubbing the spot where I hit him.
Fred and I apparated back to our flat before Angelina arrived.
He then knelt down, lifting my shirt a bit and pressing a kiss to my stomach as he looked up at me and said, “Thank you. For the best gift of my entire life.”

Just Like Their Father | Family of Four
Tumblr media
Title: Just Like Their Father
Summary: It’s no doubt that the twins take after their father.
Warning/s: Mentions of food, late night cravings.
Series Masterlist
“Fred! Fred! Come quick!” I called excitedly from my spot on the living room couch.
“What? What is it?” Fred asked, frantically running from the kitchen.
I smiled, “One of the twins just kicked.”
Ever since the first day I started feeling the twins’ kicks, Fred has wanted to feel them too. But either the twins were a huge tease just like their father or they were just as stubborn.
Fred knelt by my side, placing his hand eagerly on my stomach as one of the twins kicked again.
He smiled widely as he felt it again. “It looks like they’re having a little party in there.” He joked.
I laughed, “Yeah, makes it hard to fall asleep sometimes. They’re just like you, unpredictable.”
“At least there’s no doubt that I’m the father.” He said with a small wink as flicked him on the forehead.
He chuckled, “What? I was only joking.”
I rolled my eyes at him, “Whatever.”
“Hey princess, don’t go sarcastic on me now.”
“In my defense, you started it.”
We then heard a quick knock, Fred headed over and opened the door as Ron and Hermione came in.
“Hello Y/N!” Hermione greeted as she pulled me into a tight hug, “Sorry, it took us so long to visit. Things have been quite busy at the ministry lately.”
I chuckled, “No need to apologize Hermione. It’s perfectly fine.”
She smiled taking a seat as Fred and Ron started discussing about Quidditch.
“So, how’s the twins? I heard that you’ve got one of each.” She said.
I subconsciously placed a hand on my stomach, “They’re doing okay, they have been quite active lately. And yes, we are having one of each.”
Hermione perked up at my confirmation, “That’s wonderful. Have you thought of any names yet?”
I hummed, “For the boy, we’ll definitely be naming him after George. But for the girl, we still have no idea yet.”
“I’m sure you’ll think of something.”
Being eight months pregnant wasn’t that hard, but it also wasn’t the easiest.
I experienced nausea from time to time, similar to the ones I experienced during my first trimester.
“Want to watch a movie?” Fred asked, taking a seat next to me.
I shrugged, “Sure. What are we going to watch?”
Fred chuckled, “You’re the movie expert. You tell me.”
I thought about it for a moment, “The Holiday is a nice movie.”
Fred turned on the tv, “The Holiday it is.”
In the middle of the movie, I accidentally fell asleep on Fred’s shoulder.
(Fred’s POV)
I had been so absorbed in the movie that I never realized that my wife had already fallen asleep until the end.
“See I told you they- “I stopped abruptly when I saw her.
I kept still, not wanting to wake her up. She looked so peaceful, still beautiful, even in her sleep.
A strand of her hair fell in front of her face. I slowly moved my hand and moved it out of her face, kissing her forehead softly causing her to stir and open her eyes.
I chuckled, “Had a good sleep baby?”
She smiled as she stretched, “Sorry, I just sort of fell asleep on your shoulder, it’s just… you make the nicest pillow. Has anyone ever told you that?”
I smiled, “Nope. But I like hearing it from you.”
(Reader’s POV)
I never really had that much cravings. However, when I did get them, Fred knew better than to deny me of them.
Sometimes, they strike at the most inconvenient times.
I woke up at 2 am, hearing the soft snores of my husband while an intense craving for something sweet hit me.
I slowly got out of bed as to not wake Fred up as I walked to the kitchen.
I opened the fridge as I scanned its contents, seeing a tub of ice cream but knowing it wouldn’t satisfy my cravings.
“Princess, what are you doing up at this hour?” Fred suddenly said, coming out of our bedroom, rubbing his eyes sleepily.
I gave him an innocent smile, “Just having a little craving.”
He came up behind me, wrapping his hands around my waist, burying his head on my shoulder.
“Well, what is my princess craving?” He asked.
“I don’t have anything specific yet, but I’m craving something sweet.” I answered.
“Well, we have ice cream in the fridge.” Fred said.
I sighed, “I’m not craving ice cream.”
Fred chuckled softly, “Then tell me what you want princess. I’ll get it for you.” He promised.
I thought about it for a moment, “Can you get me an Oreo cream cheesecake with strawberries?”  I said, jutting out my bottom lip.
He kissed my cheek, “Okay then. Just let me get changed and then I’ll get you the cake.”
I grinned at him, “Thank you!”
“Anything for my baby girl.” He said with a small wink.
After he changed, he lifted me up on the kitchen, pressing a brief kiss on my lips as he said, “Don’t go anywhere princess” Before apparating to who knows where.
(Fred’s POV)
I knew that I’d promised Y/N that I’d get her whatever she was craving, but where in the name of Gryffindor can I get an Oreo cream cheesecake with strawberries?
So, I apparated to the place of someone who can help and is still awake at 2 am.
“Merlin’s beard Fred!” Ginny exclaimed as I appeared behind her, “What brings you here at 2 am?”
“Where can I get an Oreo cream cheesecake with strawberries?” I asked.
Ginny looked at me a little bit confused, “For Y/N?”
I nodded.
She sighed, “We had some but Harry already ate it all up.”
I bit my lip, “Do you have any idea where I can get some?”
My sister thought about it for a moment, “We could always ask Hermione.”
“You’re right! You’re absolutely brilliant! You know that?” I said, giving my little sister a tight hug.
“I’ve been told.” She said with a cheeky smile, “I can come with you if you want.”
I nodded, “Yes please.”
After Ginny told Harry where we were going, we apparated to Hermione and Ron’s flat.
“What are you doing here mate?” Ron asked as he saw us.
“Long story short: Y/N is craving Oreo cream cheesecake with strawberries and we were wondering if Hermione could help us get some.” Ginny explained.
“At 2 am in the morning? Blimey, why at such an inconvenient time?” Ron asked.
I shrugged, ‘That’s how it is. Besides, Y/N rarely has cravings that when she has one, you’ve got to give it to her.”
Hermione then appeared from the kitchen handing me a box, “I already overheard the whole conversation and you guys are in luck that Ron hasn’t finished it all up yet. There’s still three slices and I’m sure that’s more than enough.” She said with a small smile.
I gratefully took the box from her, “Thank you! Thank you, Hermione! You’re a godsend!”
“Well better head back now.” Ginny said with a matching smile, “Don’t want to keep your wife waiting.”
After thanking them all again, I quickly apparated back to our flat.
(Reader’s POV)
“Princess! I’m home! And I’ve got you a present!” I heard Fred call out as he entered the kitchen.
He placed the box on the counter as I kissed him on the cheek, “Thank you Freddie!”
He smiled sheepishly, “Sorry I took so long.”
I giggled as he handed me a plate, “It’s okay. You could’ve taken all the time you needed. Besides, rumor has it that you had to go to Ginny’s flat and then to Hermione’s flat just to get what I wanted.”
My husband looked at me in surprise, “How did you know?”
I chuckled, “Harry may or may not have told me via the fireplace. Next thing I knew, his head had already appeared in the flames while he was cracking up and recounting the whole thing.”
I placed the plate down on the counter, wrapping my arms around his torso while I rested my head on his chest, “You didn’t have to go through all that trouble for little old me.”
He kissed my hairline, “I would literally do everything for you baby. I promised you that and I have absolutely no intention of turning back on it.”
I grabbed the plate, scooping some cake onto the fork while I held in front of Fred’s mouth as he gave me a look.
“What did you expect?” I said, “Do you really think I could finish all three slices of this cake myself?”
He chuckled, taking a bite, “Then I’d be happy to assist darling.”

Close, Even From a Distance | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: Close, Even From a Distance (Modern!Au)
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: Even if he is away on a business trip in New York, Fred and Y/N still find a way to be close
I leaned back on the couch, engrossed in the world of the book I was currently reading while “August” by Taylor Swift played softly in the background.
The quietness that filled that flat rarely happened. If ever, this was the first time.
With my boyfriend, Fred, on a business trip with George somewhere in New York. I basically had the place all to myself.
I groaned as my phone suddenly rang when I reached the climax of the story, but the slight air of annoyance vanished as I saw the caller id. It was Fred.
I answered it immediately, “Hey love! What’s up?” I said.
“Nothing.” He answered, a smile evident in his voice. “I just wanted to hear your voice, before you know. This meeting with the potential investors.”
I giggled, placing a bookmark on the page I was reading, “You’re nervous, aren’t you?”
Fred let out a nervous chuckle, “A little bit.”
“You’ll do great Freddie.” I said, “Just relax. You got this.”
He breathed a sigh of relief, “Thanks love. I wish you were here right now.”
I smiled, “You’ll do fine Freddie. I’m sure of it.”
He took a deep breath, “Thanks sweetheart. I don’t know what I’d do without you. I have to go now; I’ll call you again later.”
“Okay. Bye.” I said before dropping the call.
I took a shower to freshen up as I wore one of Fred’s old shirts to be able to inhale his familiar scent, as if I was wrapped up in his arms.
While the twins were away, Ginny and Hermione had promised to whisk me away from my boredom on a Girls’ Day out.
I took a quick glance at the clock that hung in the kitchen, the girls would be arriving any minute now.
As if on cue, I heard a small pop followed by a quick knock on the door.
I took my bag, slinging it over my shoulder as I opened the door. Revealing my two friends who, over the years, I have formed a sister-like bond with.
We immediately apparated to Diagon Alley to hang out and do a little shopping.
Later that day, we were sitting in a small café that had just recently opened, enjoying our butterbeer as we exchanged stories with each other.
I heard a small ding telling me that I had just received a text, so while Ginny and Hermione were debating about the recent Ministry issue, I unlocked my phone and read the message.
>We just finished. I’m shaking as heck.
I smiled, looking up to see that my two friends were still busy with their little debate.
<So, how did it go?
>The investors loved it! The deal has definitely been sealed!
<Congrats! I told you that you’ll get it.
>I honestly wouldn’t know what I would do without you. You are my muse ;)
<Never miss the chance to be cheeky don’t you.
>You love it anyway. So, what are you doing right now?
<I’m out with your sister and Hermione.
>Let me guess, shopping?
<You say it like it’s a bad thing. Besides, I only got one book.
>One book? That’s a miracle.
“Somebody looks busy.” Ginny said as she rested her chin on the palm of her hand with her elbow resting on the table.
“Very busy.” Hermione added, giving me a teasing smile.
I felt a blush rise up to my cheeks, “No, I’m not.”
“Oh yeah?” Ginny said, a glint of mischief, one that she clearly inherited from the twins, sparkled in her eyes. “Then who are you talking to?”
I gave them a look, “Who else would I be talking to?”
Hermione playfully rolled her eyes, “Come on, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that it’s Fred she’s talking to.”
I heard another small ding as I received another message from Fred.
>Ginny and Hermione are bugging you, aren’t they?
<How did you know?
>I’ve been around the three of you for nearly a decade. Well, I’ve been around Ginny ever since she was born. Besides, the three of you are always like that.
“Come on Y/N!” Ginny chastised, “It’s not like we haven’t known you for years. Besides, you’ve been dating Fred ever since your third year, Hermione’s first year and I haven’t even stepped foot into Hogwarts yet.”
I chuckled, “Fine. I am talking to him, but what is it to you two if I am talking to him.”
“You miss him, don’t you?” Hermione asked.
I licked my lips, “A little bit.”
Ginny gave me a look that told me that she doesn’t believe me, “A little bit? You’re basically wearing his shirt right now and you’re texting him like you haven’t seen each other for a year.”
I sighed, leaning back on my seat, “Okay! I miss him so much. But, think about it you two. Ginny, if Harry went on a business trip for two weeks or you Hermione, if Ron went away for two weeks. Wouldn’t the two of you miss them as much as I’m missing Fred right now?” I asked.
They thought about it for a moment before finally agreeing with me.
--
Later that night, I facetimed Fred, still missing him as much as I did a few hours ago.
“Hey Sweetheart.” He greeted as he picked up, a grin growing on his lips as he leaned back on the headboard of his bed.
I gave my boyfriend a small smile, laying my head on the pillow next to me.
“I miss you.” I confessed quietly.
He gave a cute, childish smile, “I miss you too baby. Every single day.”
“So, how’s your day?” He asked.
I bit my lip, “The usual, aside from the fact that Hermione, Ginny and I went to Diagon Alley for a bit. But, how about you? How was the meeting with the investors?”
He ran a hand through his hair, “Well, I already told you that we got the deal, and aside from that..”
He went on about how he and George celebrated by going to get some drinks and just hang out at the hotel.
“Don’t get me wrong.” He said, “I had a great time and all, but it would’ve been more fun if you were here.”
He then continued on to tell me about his day. I haven’t registered how exhausted I was until now. With the familiar lull of his voice, I slowly fell asleep.
(Fred’s POV)
“And then he said..” I cut my sentence short as I saw that Y/N was already asleep.
A small smile formed on my lips as I slowly traced her outline on the screen with my finger. She still looked so gorgeous and angelic even in her slumber.
I considered ending the call. But I couldn’t deny the fact that I’ve missed her so much. So, I rested the phone on the pillow next to me as I pulled up the covers and went to sleep.
(Author’s POV)
George barged into the older twin’s room, carrying news that he knew would overjoy his brother.
“Freddie you wouldn’t believe this! I-“ He suddenly stopped, looking up to see that his twin was already asleep, still on call with his girlfriend who was, obviously, also asleep.
He smiled at the sight in front of him, the couple had clearly missed each other over the past few days.
George decided that the news could wait until morning, then after taking a small photo to send to Ginny, he retreated out of the room slowly closing the door behind him.
He settled down on the couch, whipping out his phone and typing a text to his sister.
<You still awake?
Before he could think of what to say next, Ginny sent her answer.
>Yeah, why?
George smiled.
<Just wanted to show you something I saw today.
He then attached the picture he had taken before leaving Fred’s room.
>The two of them are just the cutest. They literally can’t stand being apart from each other. His sister replied.
<They still manage to be close, even from a distance
The two talked on for about an hour or two before George decided to call it a day as well.
(Reader’s POV)
I woke up, stretching slightly as I opened my eyes, quite surprised at what I saw.
The call from the previous night was still ongoing and Fred could be seen still fast asleep, a cute little smile on his face as his hair was sticking up in all directions.
I sighed, staring contentedly at the phone screen as my boyfriend stirred slightly.
His eyes fluttered opened, revealing his hazel brown orbs.
I smiled, “Morning handsome.”
He chuckled, “Morning princess.”
“How’s your night?” He asked with a small smirk, “Had a good sleep?”
I giggled, ‘It was fantastic. How about you?”
“It was brilliant.” He answered.
“Oi Freddie!” George’s voice could be heard calling his brother.
“What?” Fred asked.
“If you don’t get your lazy arse out of bed right now, you’ll miss the best news of your life and you won’t be getting any breakfast.” George said.
“I’m coming!” Fred said.
He turned his gaze back to his phone, rolling his eyes.
“Sorry sweetheart.” He smiled sheepishly, “As much as I want to talk to you a little longer, you heard what George said.”
I laughed, “Go ahead. I’ll talk to you later.”
After saying our good-byes and Fred promising to call as soon as he can the call ended.
(Fred’s POV)
“What is your problem?” I asked as I walked into the kitchen.
George looked up from his cup of coffee, giving me a teasing smile, “What do you mean brother dear?”
I rolled my eyes at him as I sat down in front of him, waving my wand having a cup of coffee fly in front of me. “This news you’re talking about better be good since you ruined the mood of a perfect morning.”
He scoffed, “Oh brother dear, you just might be thanking me when you hear the news.”
“Will you just get to the point.”
“Okay, okay. We can already head home today.” He said with a huge grin.
“You’re joking?!” I said, not believing what I was hearing.
He shook his head, “I’m not. Everything has been taken care of. You can already be reunited with the love of your life today.”
I grinned then stood up and dashed to my room.
“Where are you going?” George asked.
“To pack.” I said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, “What else should I do?”
(Reader’s POV)
I sat at the dining table, sipping a cup of coffee while continuing the chapter I was reading yesterday.
What I didn’t expect was to hear a small pop, signaling that someone had just apparated.
I looked up, expecting to see either Hermione or Ginny. But, to my surprise, it was the redhead whom I have been longing to see.
Fred smiled, “Hello princess.”
I stood up, abandoning my book on the table as I ran into his arms, “I thought you weren’t due home until next week.” I said, looking up at him.
He chuckled, running a hand through my hair, “Yeah, but everything was sorted out earlier than planned and we were free to go home.”
I giggled, burying my head into his chest as I inhaled his familiar scent, “I missed you.”
He placed a finger under my chin, lifting my head up to look at him as he leaned down and crashed our lips together into a sweet, passionate kiss.
“I missed you too princess.”

Dancing in the Rain on a Summer Day | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: Dancing in the Rain on a Summer Day
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: During one summer at the Burrow, Fred and Y/N go dancing in the rain.
A/N: This is for @acosmis-t’s writing challenge with the trope “best friends to lovers” and the prompts: “I want you” and “If we keep kissing in the rain, one of us will catch a cold.”
I woke up at the crack of dawn to the unusual silence that filled the Burrow.
Looking over to the side, seeing that Hermione and Ginny were still fast asleep.
I slowly got out of bed, careful not to wake up the two as I headed downstairs.
Walking out towards the garden, I settled down on the grass, watching the impending sunrise.
“What are you doing awake at this ungodly hour of the morning?” The familiar voice of one of my best friends, Fred Weasley, asked as he sat down beside me.
“Well, I woke up, couldn’t get back to sleep. So here I am.” I said as I rested my head on his shoulder, trying to calm down my racing heart and the butterflies that were starting to come to life in my stomach.
He chuckled, putting a hand around my waist as he pulled me closer to him.
“It’s rare, isn’t it?” I asked, breaking the comfortable silence that has been lingering between us.
“What is?” Fred asked, slightly confused.
“The silence.” I responded as he ran his fingers through my hair.
He licked his lips, “It is. It’s very rare to have quiet moments here.”
“So, you must’ve been staying over here for a long time to get used to all the noise.” He joked.
I playfully rolled my eyes as I smacked his on the arm, “Well, how could I resist the invitation when my favorite Weasley invites me over.”
A cheeky grin adorned his already handsome features, “Oh yeah? Who’s your favorite Weasley then?”
I scoffed, “Isn’t that obvious? My favorite is George.”
He bit his bottom lips, hands dangerously hovering over my sides, “You sure? You still have the chance to take it back sweetheart.”
I giggled, “Okay, okay. I’m pretty sure Ron’s my favorite.”
His hands inched a bit closer, “Sweetheart.” He warned.
I braced myself on one knee, not being able to keep the grin off my face, “Fine, the truth about my favorite Weasley, it’s Ginny.” I said, before standing up and dashing away from Fred as fast as I could.
“Oh, you’re so going to regret what you just said sweetheart.” Fred said before chasing me around the garden.
Being taller and having longer legs, Fred had the advantage of catching up to me even though I had a head start.
He grabbed me by my waist, spinning me around as I erupted into a fit of giggles.
“Not so fast sweetheart.” He said, through laughter as I turned around to face him, resting my arms around his neck.
We stood there, facing each other, breathless from our little chase.
I noticed his eyes flickering from mine down to my lips as he slowly started to lean forward.
My heartbeat started to speed up, I was about to meet him halfway when we heard George’s voice say, “Oi Lovebirds! Quit snogging and let’s get some breakfast.”
Fred groaned under his breath as we pulled apart, walking towards the Burrow.
When we entered the kitchen, Ginny could be seen smacking George at the back of the head, scolding him about something under her breath.
I gave her a confused to look, to which she just gave me a soft smile.
I sat down in between her and Fred as we started to have breakfast.
“What was that about?” I asked her quietly.
She took a bite of her toast, “What was what about?
I shrugged, “When Fred and I came in, you were scolding George about something.”
She bit her lip, trying to hide a small smile, “Oh, it was nothing. Just another one of his shenanigans that’s all.”
I raised a brow at her, telling her that I didn’t believe her, and just letting the matter slide.
--
Later that day, all of us were sitting in the living room. Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Ron talking amongst themselves. While George, Fred and I were secretly brainstorming products for the shop.
“But what if we put the antidote on the other side of the sweet instead of having it on a separate piece?” George said, looking at Fred for his opinion, but he was just looking straight at me, obviously lost in paradise.
George looked at me, a smug smile a he shook his head, waving a hand in front of his twin.
“Hello! Earth to Freddie!” He said, but it seemed to have no effect on Fred.
I placed a hand on George’s shoulder, “Let me try.” I said before kneeling in front of my best friend.
“Fred, I’m pregnant and you’re the father.” I said as I kicked George’s foot to stop his laughter at what I said.
Fred’s eyes suddenly widened, “You’re pregnant? I’m the father? But, how- when-“
But he relaxed when he saw George and I suddenly burst out in laughter, holding onto each other to keep ourselves from falling over.
“Not funny guys.” He said with a fond smile, “That’s a terrible joke.”
“It’s hilarious! You should’ve seen the look on your face.” George said before bursting into another fit of laughter.
After we had calmed down, George continued, “As I was saying…”
--
After a few more hours of brainstorming, it started to rain outside.
Fred and George exchanged a look that I couldn’t exactly read.
“Wanna go dance in the rain sweetheart?” Fred asked as he stood up, offering me his hand.
I smiled, taking it, “I thought you’d never ask.”
We peeked into the kitchen to see if Molly was busy before running out into the rain.
As we started to get soaked in the rain, Fred said, “May I have this dance?”
I giggled, “Of course you may.”
Our laughs filled the air as he twirled me around.
I rested my arms around his neck, just like the position we were in earlier that morning, before George had called us for breakfast.
Fred pressed our foreheads together, droplets of rain falling down from our faces as I stared into his eyes. The eyes that I would love to spend my whole life getting lost in.
He took a deep breath before whispering, “I want you.”
“What?” I asked, not sure if I heard him right.
“I want you.” He repeated, looking at me, desperation and longing filling his eyes.
“I’ve wanted you ever since I accidentally bumped into you at Platform 9 ¾ when we were eleven.” He said.
I giggled, “I’ve wanted you ever since I fell into your arms and you offered to share your train compartment with me.”
He smiled, leaning forward slightly and I got the gist.
Tip toeing slightly as I met him halfway, connecting our lips together. The moment we had been waiting for had finally arrived.
Cheers can be heard from the rest of the Weasley family as they watched from the kitchen.
We pulled apart, a huge grin on both our faces as the pouring rain continued to soak us from head to toe.
After catching our breath, we leaned in again for another kiss.
“You know,” I said, running my hand through my boyfriend’s ginger locks that was sticking to his forehead, “If we keep kissing in the rain, one of us will catch a cold.”
He chuckled, “It’s worth it anyway.”
We went back to the Burrow as Molly started fussing over us, wrapping a blanket around the both of us as she dried us off with a wave of her wand.
“This is why I had to stop interrupt them this morning Gin.” George explained to his sister with a proud smile on his face.
Ginny rolled her eyes, “You’re right. This ending is more romantic.”

Ticklish | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: Ticklish
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: After bonding over a horror movie, Fred finds out that his girlfriend is quite ticklish
Warning/s: mentions of a horror movie, mentions of a jump scare, mentions of dinner
I walked through the airport, lugging my suitcase behind me as I made my way to the exit.
I had just gotten back from our family reunion in California, and I was about to head back to my apartment.
My phone then started ringing and I smiled when I saw my boyfriend’s name on the caller id.
“Hey Freddie.” I greeted, feeling the wind blow on my face as I stepped onto the busy street outside the airport.
“How’s your flight?” He asked.
“It was great.” I said, “I am actually heading back to the apartment now.”
“If I were you sweetheart,” Fred started to say, “I wouldn’t hail a cab.”
I furrowed my brows, “Then, how will I get home?”
“Look behind you.” He answered, a grin evident in his voice.
So, I did what he told me to do and when I did, I saw him standing behind me.
“Freddie!” I exclaimed, letting go of my luggage as I ran towards him and wrapped my arms around his torso.
He smiled, kissing the top of my head, “Hello sweetheart.”
“Why didn’t you tell me you were going to get me from the airport?” I asked, smiling up at him.
He chuckled, running his fingers through my hair, “Well, that’s why it’s called a surprise.”
Fred then took my luggage as he offered his arm, “Let’s apparate home now, shall we love?”
I giggled, looping my arm around his, “We shall.”
Once we were sure that no muggles were in sight, Fred brought out his wand and suddenly the world spun around in a circle as we were slowly lifted off the ground.
We landed in our shared apartment, feeling a little bit dizzy as I sat down on the couch, waiting for the world to stop spinning and the three distorted shapes of my boyfriend, finally blending back into the one I loved.
I then stood up to bring my bags to the bedroom and unpack everything, but Fred started to protest.
“Hey, hey, what do you think you’re doing?” He said while gently pushing me back on the couch.
I raised a brow at him, “I’m going to unpack my things. What do you expect me to do?”
“I expect you to rest. You’ve just gotten back from your flight, so let me do it for you.” He said.
I pouted, “But Freddie- “
He pressed his index finger to my lips, shushing me immediately, “I missed you. Let me take care of you.”
With another wave of his wand, a book and a cup of tea flew onto the coffee table in front of me, “You relax.” He insisted, dragging my bags to our bedroom, “Just give me a call if you need anything.”
I playfully rolled my eyes at him before picking up the book and started to read.
--
Once Fred has finished unpacking my stuff for me and I had finally convinced him that I’ve had enough rest.
I was currently in the kitchen, cooking up dinner for Fred and I.
I tensed up when somebody wrapped their arms around my waist, but I relaxed immediately as soon as I realized that somebody was my dork of a boyfriend.
“Hello baby.” He said with a small smile, nudging my cheek with his nose as he started trailing soft kisses on my jaw and neck.
“Looks like somebody missed me.” I teased.
Fred hummed, “I missed you more than you know, had half the mind to fly over to California myself.”
I giggled, turning around in his arms to face him as I pressed a kiss on his lips, “I missed you too.”
He leaned forward and reunited our lips, lifting me up on the counter as he inserted his tongue into my mouth.
“Fred.” I tried to say as we pulled apart, Fred starting to attack my neck with open-mouthed kisses, sucking and biting on my sweet spot.
“Freddie.” I tried again, pushing him away gently.
“What?” He whined, jutting his bottom lip out in a pout.
I laughed at his childish antics, “Freddie, the food’s gonna burn if we don’t stop now. We can always continue this later.” I said, kissing his pout,
Fred leaned against the counter, crossing his arms over his chest and huffed, “Fine.”
I playfully rolled my eyes at him, switching off the stove as we started to eat dinner.
--
This time, the two of us sat in front of the muggle TV while we watched IT.
Did Fred put on a horror movie on purpose? Yes.
Why did he do that? To scare the living hell out of me.
Why would he want to scare the living hell out of me? So that he has an excuse to cuddle with me.
I swear to Merlin, this man is a clingier than a toddler on the first day of preschool.
I almost screamed as I buried my head into my boyfriend’s chest when a last-minute jump scare came at the end of the movie.
“Aw.” Fred cooed teasingly, “Is my princess scared?”
I hit him on the chest, “It’s your fault. You were the one who put on a horror movie.”
His chest vibrated as he let out a laugh, “Okay, fine, I’m sorry.”
I rolled my eyes at him as I stood up, “I’m going to the bathroom.”
The moment I stepped out of the bathroom, I felt something different while I headed back to the living room.
“Freddie?” I called out when I noticed the silence in the room.
No answer.
“Freddie?” I called again, but still no answer.
My heart pounding in my chest, I peaked into the living room, seeing that it was empty.
I suddenly felt two hands grab my shoulders, causing me to scream and hit my back against the doorframe, trying to get away from whoever it was a fast as I could.
“Fred!” I chastised as I saw him on the floor, basically in hysterics.
‘It’s not funny.” I said, plopping down on the couch as I glared at him, “You almost gave me a heart attack!”
Fred picked himself up from the floor, still recovering from his laughing fit, “I’m sorry.”
I didn’t spare a glance at him even though he sat beside me, putting an arm around my shoulder, “You scared me, Freddie.”
He looked at me with doe eyes, “I’m truly sorry. Please forgive me.”
I looked at him for a second and preceded to say nothing.
He playfully rolled his eye before he started peppering kisses all over my face, “Fred! Stop!” I said through laughter, “It tickles.”
A smirk appeared on his lips, “Oh yeah, all the reason to continue then.”
“Fred!” I shrieked as his kisses continued to tickle me.
“See?” He said, “You can’t stay mad at me for long.”

Yours Forever (Pt. 2) | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: Yours Forever (Pt. 2)
Requested: Yes/No, requested by @lunylovelovegood
Summary: After the wedding, comes the honeymoon
A/N: I was so excited when she was asking for a part two. I have no idea how good is this, but I hope you’ll enjoy it.
Part 1
I woke up to Fred peppering kisses all over my face.
“Good morning Mrs. Weasley.” He greeted in his morning voice, his hands travelling up and down my waist, the cold metal of his wedding band could be felt against my skin.
I smiled, pressing a chaste kiss on his lips, “Good morning my love!”
He pulled me closer to him, muzzling his head into the crook of my neck, “How was your night?”
“It was the best one of my life.” I answered with a small smile, my mind travelling back to the events of the past night.
A smirk graced his features as he winked, “I told you so.”
I playfully smacked his chest as he leaned down and captured my lips into a kiss.
I giggled, getting up from our comfortable position, “Come on.” I said, emitting a groan from Fred, “If you don’t move now, we’ll miss our flight.”
Fred pouted, making grabby hands towards me, “Do we have to get up now?”
I nodded, “Unless you want to miss our flight.”
He stood up, turning to me a pouty face as I giggled and kissed him.
“Come on, New York won’t wait for us.”
--
After getting out of our 8-hour flight to New York, we immediately headed to our hotel to settle in.
With the help of Hermione, we were able to book a suite at the west side end of the building, where we had the perfect view of the sunset.
“Wow!” Fred marveled, “how did you even manage to get this?”
I chuckled, placing my arms around his neck as I looked up at him, “I’ve had help, but I promise, it didn’t cost that much.”
He smiled placing his hands on my waist, “You’re bloody brilliant! You know that?”
“You tell me that almost every single day.”
“Well now, I can tell you that for the rest of forever.”
--
Later that day, the two of us were walking hand in hand, down the beach on Long Island.
I couldn’t help but admire the wedding band on my finger that was shining brightly in the sunlight.
“Penny for your thoughts?” Fred suddenly said, pulling me out of my daydream.
I gave him a small smile, giving the ring another glance, “Just can’t believe that this is it, we’re finally married.”
He chuckled, pulling me closer to him by the belt loops of my jeans.
“Well, it has been something we’ve been dreaming off since we first met.” Fred reminisced, smiling fondly at the memory.
I giggled, “It was definitely worth the wait.”
He smiling, leaning forward and kissing me passionately, “Ya know, if we only eloped when we were eighteen- “
“Molly would’ve killed the both of us Freddie.”
The mischievous glint that made me fall for him in the first place suddenly sparkled in his eyes, “Race you to the water.” He suddenly said, leaving me in the dust.
“Hey! Cheater!” I said, running after him.
As expected, he got there first and started splashing water towards me.
“Slowpoke.” He teased, sticking his tongue out at me.
I splashed more water in his face, “You had a greater advantage.”
We went on like this for hours, the childish side of both of us that never really left coming out to play.
I looked around, not being able to find my husband anywhere, when I suddenly felt a pair of strong arms flung around my waist and pull me into the water.
“Fred!” I yelped, smacking his arm as his laughter filled the air.
We were soaked from head to toe, but we didn’t care at all.
--
We laced our fingers together as we sat on the sand, watching the impending sunset.
Fred lazily rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand, causing me to lean in further into his touch.
“I don’t know what I’d do without you.” He suddenly said.
I sat up and looked at him, his gaze was still fixed upon the horizon, a million miles away.
“I literally wouldn’t be sitting here right now if it weren’t for you.” He continued.
I placed a hand on his cheek, diverting his attention to me.
“And I wouldn’t be complete without you Freddie.” I said softy, gently rubbing my thumb over his cheek.
“You’ve seen me at my best and at my worst. You’ve stuck with me when the sun shines and even through my darkest days. I would give you the whole world if I could Freddie, but we both know that the world is not mine to give. So, the least that I could do is give you my world. Because you deserve that, and so much more.” I said.
He was silent for a few moments before he took my wrist and pulled me in for a kiss.
He rested his hand on the small of my back as he situated me onto his lap, having me straddle him.
What started out as a kiss in the heat of the moment, quickly turned into a passionate make-out session.
We would pause for a breath, but pick up where we left off almost immediately.
“I love you princess, so much.” He said, after what seemed like hours.
I giggled, “I love you too, until the end of time.”
I leaned down on his chest, admiring the stars that painted the night sky.
Once nightfall has arrived, we decided to head back to our hotel.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit too early to call it a night princess?” Fred asked, a cheeky smirk gracing his features.
I bit my lip to hide my smile, “Dunno, what did you have in mind?” I asked, already knowing the answer.
He scooped me up bridal style, heading to the bed, “I think it’ll be better if I show you instead.”

Save a Life, Secure a Future | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: Save a Life, Secure a Future
Requested: Yes/No
Warning/s: Death, Fred’s “big sleep” (for a brief moment), eloping
Summary: During the Battle of Hogwarts, Y/N knows a way to save Fred.
Flashbacks are in italics
We watched as lights started to shower through the skies, protective enchantments casing Hogwarts, surrounding our second home.
On the 2nd of May 1998, we knew that it was time to fight.
The twins and I watched from one of the lookout towers at Hogwarts.
George nudged his twin, “You okay Freddie?”
“Yeah,” He answered, “How about you?”
“I’m fine.”
He turned to me, “And you princess?”
I looked at him, giving him a small smile, “I’m good.”
He interlocked our hands together, tucking a stray piece of hair behind my ear,
“Can I ask you something princess?” He asked.
I gave George a questioning look over my boyfriend’s shoulder, to which he just shrugged, “Sure, what is it?”
He looked down at our interlocked hands, “I know that this isn’t the right time to ask. But I just want something to look forward to in the midst of this madness. Heck, I don’t even have a bloody ring. But, when all this is over, Y/N L/N, will you marry me?”
I gave a small chuckle, this was exactly like Fred Weasley, impulsive but spontaneous. And that’s what I loved about him.
I pressed a brief kiss on his lips, “Of course I’ll marry you, Freddie. I wouldn’t want anything more in this world.”
He grinned as he engulfed me in a tight hug, “I love you.” He said as he peppered my face with kisses.
I giggled, “I love you too.”
“Hate to interrupt the sweet moment.” George said, sporting a small smile, “But, we’ve got a war to fight in.”
--
Fred and I refused to leave each other’s side during the course of the battle.
The two of us were standing by the Room of Requirement with Percy by our side. He had finally realized that his family was right all along and decided to fight alongside them in the battle.
Despite how much of a prat Percy has been, Fred was still the first one to welcome him back with open arms.
“Hey minister!” Percy shouted, throwing a spell at the man he used to work for, “Did I mention that I’m resigning?”
Fred’s eye lit up as he gave his older brother a proud look, “You’re joking Perce! You’re actually joking. I haven’t heard you joke since you were-“
What Fred wanted to say next was cut off as the wall in front of us suddenly exploded. The momentum throwing us back while debris flew around. Time seemed to slow down as I hit the ground, instinctively throwing my arms over my head as blocks of stone surrounded me.
“Fred! Y/N! Are you okay?” Percy’s frantic shouts could be heard.
I sat up, my head throbbing slightly, “I’m okay!”
“How about you Fred?” Percy called out, but no answer came.
Percy and I exchanged a look of horror as I called out, in hopes of him answering, “Freddie?”
Silence.
I immediately stood up, looking around in hopes of seeing my boyfriend somewhere, dusting off his clothes with his signature grin.
My blood ran cold as I spotted tufts of ginger hair under rubble.
“Percy.” I said in a low whisper.
Percy’s eyes landed on where I was looking, the both of us running forward and trying to lift the pieces of rubble off of his body.
Once we got the last of the debris off, I immediately knelt by his side, cradling his head on my lap, trying to keep the tears at bay.
“Stay with me Freddie, please.” I pleaded as I ran my fingers through his hair.
His face was pale. His eyes were staring up at the ceiling, but there was no glint of mischief in them, nor was any sign of life. The ghost of his last laugh stayed on his lips.
“Percy.” I said, my voice cracking as I looked up at the older Weasley, “we need to bring him to Madam Pomfrey, please.”
He nodded, not saying a word as he looked like he was about to cry as well, helping me lug his brother to the Great Hall.
“Oh my.” The matron said as she saw Fred.
“Please save him.” I pleaded, the tears now flowing down my cheeks, “Please.”
She gave me a sympathetic nod, “I’ll do everything I can.”
The rest of the Weasleys came into the hall, George immediately bursting into tears as he hugged me tightly.
Molly held on to her daughter, who was now also crying, from the look on her face, I could see that she was trying to hold back tears. It hurt her to see her son, barely holding on to life, but she also needed to stay strong for her own family’s sake.
The matron gave us a sorrowful look, “I’m sorry.” She said before walking off to help the other injured staff and students.
Ron arrived with Hermione by his side, a look of horror overtaking his features as George detached himself from me and pulled his younger brother into a hug, the tears still streaming down his face.
I knelt by my fiancé’s side once more, cupping his face in my hands, “Please. Don’t leave me Freddie. Please.” I said through tears.
At the back of my mind, I knew that I could do something to save him, I just needed to remember what.
“Mum!” I screamed as she fell into the freezing lake. It was currently winter in Canada, and we decided to go ice skating on the frozen lakes.
We didn’t know the that the ice was too thin. The moment mum stepped foot on the ice, it cracked underneath her feet and she fell in.
Dad jumped in after her, successfully being able to pull her out. Mum had passed out; she was visibly shivering but her eyes were closed.
“Dad?” I said, getting scared, “What’s happening to mum?”
“Don’t worry dear.” He tried to reassure me but the panic could be heard in his voice, “She’ll be alright. Daddy can fix this.”
He then placed one hand over the other on mum’s chest before starting to pressing hard, muttering words under his breath that I couldn’t comprehend.
Then after a few minutes, mum’s eyes opened as she sat up.
I immediately ran towards her and wrapped my arms around her tightly, holding on to her like a koala.
“What did you daddy?” I asked, staring up at my father with huge eyes, “How did you save mummy?”
My father gave a small smile, “It’s called CPR. Don’t worry honey, I’ll teach you.”
There was a way, I could save him.
Molly tried to pry me off Fred, “It’s okay dear.” She tried to say in a comforting tone, “There’s nothing we can do now. He’s gone.”
“No.” I said, wiping the tears from my eyes, “I can save him Molly.”
I saw that her eyes gleamed with a hopeful sparkle, “Are you sure dear?”
I nodded, “I’m positive. I have to at least try. I can’t move on thinking that I didn’t even try to save him.”
She nodded, letting go of my arm, “Let’s hope that it works then.”
I took a deep breathe, remembering everything my father taught me about CPR.
I tilted his head back slightly, opening up an airway as I placed my hands one on top of the other in the middle of his chest, pressing down hard as I counted the compressions under my breath.
I then pinched his nose before breathing into his mouth and continuing the compressions.
“Come on, come on.” I said, placing two of my fingers over his wrist, feeling for a pulse.
At first there was nothing, I was vaguely aware of the whole Weasley family watching me carefully, their hope stood out like a glass vase. One wrong move and it will break into millions of piecese.
I breathed out a sigh of relief, finally feeling a pulse in his wrist. I looked at the group of gingers with a huge smile, “He’s alive.” I said, not daring to let go of Fred’s wrist.
They started to cheer, George and Molly kneeling down and squeezing me in a bone crushing hug as they repeatedly said thanked me for saving Fred.
“How can someone get some bloody rest if it’s nosier than a New Year’s firework show.” A familiar voice grumbled jokingly.
“Freddie!” I exclaimed while I threw my arms around him as he sat up, “I thought that I lost you for good.” I said while sobbing into his shirt.
He gave a small chuckle, hugging me tightly, “You’re not getting rid of me that easily.”
--
The war was finally over, rubble was still scattered around but we were safe. The Dark Lord was gone, and peace was restored to the world once again.
Fred wrapped his arms around my waist, resting his chin on my shoulder, “Thank you for saving my life.” He said, placing small kisses on my neck.
I giggled, turning around to face him, “I’d do anything for you Freddie. If I even have to trade my own soul for yours then I’d do it.”
He grinned, pulling me in for a brief kiss, “What would I do without you?”
--
“Y/N! Fred!” Molly greeted as she pulled the two of us into a tight hug, “It’s been so long since you last visited, what kept you busy?”
Fred gave a sheepish grin as we shared a glance, “Sorry mum, we just got back from our honeymoon.”
Molly’s eyes widened as she allowed Fred’s words to sink in, “Honeymoon? What do you mean?”
“Well,” Fred said, “The thing is mum, Y/N and I may or may not have eloped around two weeks ago.”
“Frederick Gideon Weasley!” Molly scolded, hitting him with a dish towel she was holding, “I taught you better than to just elope with your wife instead of giving her a special day!”
She then averted her attention to me, her gaze softening, “Don’t worry dear, we’ll make sure that you have a proper celebration.”
I gave a small laugh, “Don’t worry about it Molly, it’s completely fine.”
“No, I insist.”
“But mum-“
“Shush Fred, I know that I brought you up better than that.”

Is It a Boy or a Girl? | Family of Four
Tumblr media
Title: Is it a Boy or a Girl?
Summary: Time for the gender reveal.
Warning/s: Mentions of a bet, being nauseous, mentions of throwing up
Series Masterlist
My hand flew to my mouth as I walked into the kitchen to suppress the gag that was threatening to come out.
“Fred,” I groaned, “The tea is making me puke.”
He immediately ran and covered the tea pot to stop anymore of the scent to flow into the air.
“I’m sorry.” He said, smiling sheepishly, “I forgot that the smell of it makes you throw up.”
I offered him a small smile, taking a seat, “It’s okay Freddie. We’re all new to this.”
He soon sat down as he handed me a cup of coffee.
“Are you ready to find out the gender of the twins?” I asked him, taking a small sip.
His face immediately lighted up, “Of course I am! In fact, Ginny, George and I have a small bet.”
I raised a brow at him, “Oh really?”
He smiled, “Yeah, George and I bet it’s a boy. Ginny bets that it’s a girl.”
I laughed, “Count me in then. I’m betting it’s a girl.”
“So, it’s a tie then.”
We then got ready to head to our appointment at St. Mungo’s.
After getting dressed, I stared at my image in the mirror.
My stomach had surely grown over the last four months of my pregnancy.
“You alright princess?” Fred asked, hugging me from behind while resting his chin on my shoulder.
“Yeah, it’s just. I look fat.” I said.
Fred chuckled, “You’re not fat princess. You’re pregnant with our twins. Besides, even if you were fat, I’d still love you all the same.”
I giggled, “But, I still look like a whale.”
He laughed as he spun me around and kissed me, “A very sexy whale.”
I playfully smacked him on the shoulder, “Oh, enough of your shenanigans. Let’s go before we be late for our appointment.”
We then apparated to the hospital.
--
“So, what do you bet the gender is?” The healer asked us with a small smile.
“It’s most definitely a boy.” Fred said, settling into the seat
I shook my head with a small smile, “I really have this feeling that it’s a girl.”
The healer laughed at our small debate, “Let’s find out then, shall we?”
She went through the same process, applying some gel on my stomach, and running the transducer over it.
Fred and I kept our eyes glued to the screen as I felt Fred reached over and grabbed my hand.
“Well,” The healer said as she handed us the sonograms, “Looks like the both of you were right. It’s both a boy and a girl.”
--
We headed home, not believing our luck that we were blessed with both a baby boy and a baby girl.
When we opened the door to our flat, bickering could easily be heard inside.
“Believe me George, it’s a girl.” The clear voice of Ginny was immediately recognizable.
“Nope! It’s definitely a boy Gin. Believe me, I’m always right.” Her older brother retorted.
Fred quietly laughed at his siblings, “Then why don’t you two stop your bickering and find out.”
Harry groaned as he slumped back into his seat, “Thank Merlin you’re back! These two have been at it all day.”
Angelina laughed, “Well, don’t keep us waiting any longer. That is unless you want those two to launch into another debate.”
Fred and I looked at each other before I asked, “Which of you thinks it’s a boy.”
Harry, George and Fred raised their hand.
“Aside from me, which of you thinks it’s a girl.”
Ginny and Angelina raised their hand.
I smiled, “It’s both.”
Ginny jumped up triumphantly, “I knew it! I knew it!”
She then did a little victory dance, “I told you it was a girl.”
George chuckled at his sister, “Don’t get too cheeky Gin. It’s both, so I was also right.”
“But you wouldn’t believe me when I told you it was a girl.” The two started to argue again.
Harry groaned, placing his head in his hands while Angelina stifled a laugh, “They’re at it again.”
Fred and I joined in the laughter.
My husband placed his hands in his pockets as he gave Harry a teasing look.
“Want some tea Harry? Figured it would save you from your little predicament.” He asked.
Harry stood up at his words, “Oh, yes please. Anything to get away from here.”
Fred chuckled, sneaking a small glance at me, “Let’s have it in the kitchen, don’t want my princess to get sick.”
And with that, the two of them retreated to the kitchen.
--
After a few hours, all of us had called it a day, Harry, Ginny, George and Angelina apparating back to their respective flats.
I’ve more or less had been sleeping peacefully until I woke up at around 2 am in the morning to see Fred kneeling by my side, talking to my bump.
“What are you doing Freddie?” I asked him quietly.
“Talking to the kids.” He stated casually as easy as you would say ‘Eating breakfast’.
I ran my fingers through his hair, “At 2 am in the morning?”
He chuckled quietly, placing a small kiss on my forehead, “Sorry love, I just couldn’t sleep.”
He then continued what he was doing earlier.
“Hey there you two.” He whispered loud enough for me to hear, “Your mum is awake.”
“She’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” He continued, “She is the one thing in life that I can never live without. She completes me, she makes me feel whole. And now, she’s carrying the two of you. Your mum is just the sweetest thing in the whole wide world and I have absolutely no idea what I did to deserve her.”
I smiled, trying to wipe the tears from my eyes before Fred saw. But I was a tad bit too late.
“Hey,” He said softly, pressing a gentle kiss on my lips, “why are you crying sweetheart? Something wrong?”
I sniffed, wiping the last of the tears away, “Stupid hormones.” I muttered causing him to laugh.
He delicately traced his thumb over my cheekbone, “I meant every single word sweetheart.”
He laid down next to me, placing his hand over my bump, rubbing it gently.
“Don’t give your mum a hard time okay?” He said.
He ran his fingers through my hair, “Get some rest love.”
I rested my head on his chest, getting lulled to sleep by the calming feeling of his fingers in my hair and his steady heartbeat.
