and sparrow's son loves the world so much and loves everyone around him and how can sparrow tell him that the world is cruel? how can he tell him that love will be punished and that cruelty is the only way to survive? normal's love scares him, he loves his son so much but that love scares him. he would do and has done anything for his son but he knows that it has led to his own ruin. and he loves his son but too much love has only ever harmed him and maybe he can take a model from his own dad and multitask.
maybe he can love his son but he hates him too, hates that normal can love and hates that normal can be loved and hates that normal can be so oblivious to the cruelty around him in a way that he himself lost when the world ended. he wants his son to have everything but loathes that fact that normal'll never try. that he just accepts life as it is. the way his dad did, when sparrow saluted henry and went along with the world's end and turned a blind eye to his wife's infidelity.
he sees himself in normal, maybe. maybe he hates that. because he lost himself, that day he lost his father's care and his mother's respect, and he can't bear to see himself lost again. normal needs to be cruel because otherwise he will be crushed and sparrow can't do that again. can't let himself be crushed again.

hiii:33!! friendly reminder that someone can enjoy a character that has done heinous things and not support said heinous things
usually when a character does Bad Things in a narrative (espec if they're not the protagonist) it is Portrayed As Bad so people who enjoy the character Likely Know They Are Bad
& either way harassing people over enjoying a fictional character is just really childish
if you don't like the character, that is perfectly valid. but there's never any reason to characterise everyone who likes said character as Evil, and/or imply they condone the character's negative actions.
also sometimes i look at internet discourse and it's like people want morally grey characters but then turn around when "morally grey" is not always "i have my own rules but i still make all the right choices !!" some of y'all just need to admit you just like good characters that's fine not everyone is into the spice it's ok to like that good protagonist energy
;;;not saying every character i'm referring to fits in that "morally grey" category, some are just evil villains, but even then i'm sorry 90% of ur stories wouldn't exist without them. they drive the plot.

it's so frustrating that the only times I could actually look for a new therapist are when I feel relatively good and fine. but when I'm feeling fine I don't think I need one.
"I haven't had any really bad obsessive thoughts in weeks, I haven't had to do any compulsions, I haven't been too scared to leave the house, I haven't been so depressed that I can't get up - obviously I'm fine!"
haha yeah right, that's funny :)

the aeon of abundance is not deceptive by nature , but when finding themselves in lan's domain , they have little choice. after all , the xianzhou alliance , particularly the luofu is no longer welcoming to them. & yet , yaoshi finds themselves here time & time again , though perhaps this time is different , this time there is more at stake.
their reason for descending to the luofu ?? the ambrosial arbor has awoken , abundance's blessing stirring in the ship's depths as it did long ago. its awakening draws yaoshi to the luofu once more , its siren call practically begging the aeon's presence.
& who were they to refuse a prayer ??
abundance passes the people of the xianzhou , some fleeing abominations of mara , others in armor standing their ground. others watch yaoshi's movements with shrewd eyes , & abundance is not blind to the presence of their devotees here. but neither are they ignorant of their followers' hands in the tragedy befalling the luofu.
❛ ... these creatures ... do you know anything about them ?? ❜
abundance's gaze finds @bianshu , pleading gaze belying their curiosity about the situation. yaoshi knows where this wretched curse came from , such suffering can only come from a god , after all.
❛ i've never seen things quite so bad. ❜

Hello, I have come with an angst brainrot I've had. After all the reader has gone through, in any of these SAGAU variations, we find out we aren't the player somehow brought here through mystical means, but a copy of that consciousness in a body made to serve as a mimicry of the original. Like, what brought us to Teyvat couldn't bring the "real thing", so it saved a copy and brought that over instead (with alterations such as golden blood, among other things.) The despair I imagine for us to find out, especially in an Imposter AU, I just.. I just love this idea for some reason.
Hi! Owch!
So basically, the reader isn't actually the god - by technicality. They share the same memories, but their body is but a copy. So perhaps its a situation similar to the Raiden Shogun's.
I think most would still regard you as their god, considering the fact that they can't exactly get the real thing. You're the closest they can get and so they'll treat you the same.
I think it'd be similar to Bones' beloved imposter? maybe. Although not as obvious as her series describes it, and I think there would be some die-hard fans that wouldn't like you being in the position you're in.
Which is why it's kept a secret, for the most part. Majority of the archons are aware of it, and you most favored/trusted acolytes are also aware of it. Other than that it's quite hush-hush, for your safety.
All of your memories before you came here might've been fabricated but that's alright (it's also their fault you're here in the first place) but they'll help you create new - and real - memories in Teyvat. They'll walk your technical first steps with you and they'll be there for your thousandth, even if you're not what the actual god, they'll still adore you like you are them.

like with the aromanticisation post i'm not talking about making their connection any different than it is in canon i want it to be built on More than that i want the whole whatever our souls are made of his and mine are the same thing and i want the sun and moon symbolism and the inability to ever truly separate them because they are so closely entwined it's near impossible and essentially everything that already exists or that can be interpreted from what does exist but i simply want to make it aromantic-er.
