More progress being made. I finished re-reading The Illusion of Living this past Friday. It's a nice book. 👍 This was the last of the Bendy books in this "marathon" that I'm doing which I had already read previously and now I'm rereading, meaning that I'm kind of up to date when it comes to rereading all the books that were released until December 2021. But the race is not over yet. Soon I'll start Fade To Black, and (technically) I'll finally be up to date.

Just to continue my chain of posting about the books I finished (at least, the main ones that I really wanted to read) here it is…something I did at the beginning of March, on the night when shit went down. (I hope you know what I'm talking about). I saw the tweets first hand, I was there! Right at the damn moment. And it was..something reading those tweets alright. If the image above doesn't show it, my mood that night and the next 1-2 days wasn't so… great. You might read this and think I'm exaggerating, but that night especially I, uuhhh, I didn't feel good! And this image (and maybe 2 more posts I made that night) are the results of that. (And to think that a week before this happened, I had finished rereading DCTL after a long time. Talk about better/worse timing than this)

At least, if you want the bright side of this, it's that even after that day, I decided to continue with my book marathon, and I don't regret it. I was down that day, but I wasn't out yet damn it!! and I'm still not. (I don't know if this sentence makes a lot of sense, but you get my point)

As a bonus, here's something I did the night I got to the part where Henry is first mentioned in the book (you can consider this as a representation of my reaction when he's first mentioned, both for when I read TIOL for the first time in 2021, as now in this rereading)

I have some vague ideas including Steve helping Lucas learn to play basketball without wolfing out, Steve defending his kids from Principal Jason Carver's baseless accusations, and Steve meeting the famous Uncle Wayne aka the only human Eddie loves and respects (so far).

idk if any of those will come to fruition though since i've got other things i want to finish first. i doubt it'll become like, a full cohesive fic, if i'm honest but i definitely want to write little scenes within the 'verse at the very least. if/when they get written they'll be tagged as hawkins halfway house for homeless horrors, and trensu tells stories.

A few years before the events of The Heart Pyre, Logan is busy sneaking his way from adventure to adventure (all totally safe and definitely legal). On his way through the province of Mohregi (lovely spot for a picnic during the summer) he hears that people are confused by the fancy, new sickhouse not opening to the public. Why did Count Yonec build the place and invite doctors from far away places, if the people who are sick can’t go to them? Well, the easiest way to an answer is to ask the Count himself (or, to be really certain, look at his private documents). Luckily for Logan, it’s the birthday of the Count’s daughter, and she really likes throwing parties. 

1: Logan arrives at the castle 

2: Logan approaches Lady Ined

3: He grabs a glass of wine and offers it to Lady Ined with a smile

4: He wishes Lady Ined happy birthday and says it is nice to meet her again

5: After talking to Lady Ined for a while, Logan leans in closer and whispers into her ear that he would like to talk to her in private

6: Lady Ined leads Logan to her favourite spot in the castle - a small, secondary greenhouse on the third floor of the southern wing

7: Logan asks to know more about the greenhouse and Lady Ined tells him her mother, who passed away a couple of years ago, used to spend a lot of time in it

8: Logan propose to Lady Ined to take a stroll through the castle to cheer her up

9: Logan notices a door at the end of the corridor where faint notches have been etched into the floor

10: Logan asks about the door but Lady Ined dismisses him

11: Logan asks about the notches in the floor and Lady Ined starts crying and telling him her family has a dark secret 

12: Logan offers to go back down with Lady Ined but she says she can’t take it anymore and that someone needs to know about their secret

13: Lady Ined leads Logan into the room. It is damp and dimly lit, and a curtain separates the two halves of the room 14: Logan turns to his right and look through the documents. They are medical records indicating that Lady Ined’s mother is not dead. A letter from a doctor urges Count Yoned to take his wife to the new sickhouse

15: Logan turns to Lady Ined and to ask about the documents. She tells Logan about how her father couldn’t let go of his mother. She pushes the curtains aside, and reveals a sickly woman lying in a bed, covered in vines

16: You approach and ask Lady Ined what she wants you to do. She says what they are doing to her mother is cruel, that they shouldn’t keep her between life and death, and asks you to free her

17: CONCLUSION: You cut Lady Ined’s mother free of the vines, wrap her in the bedsheets she’s lying on, carry her to the greenhouse, and together with Lady Ined, you bury her in a pot of soil

Yaknow what, I'm just gonna be thinking about the House and the newfound knowledge I've obtained in regards to its anatomy and connection with its inhabitants. As well as what I can do with that story wise considering that I DO! have an abandoned house connected with my OCs.

#aria rants #the betrayal of that house making me clip through the floor twice like cmon now! i thought we'd be friends by now! #anyway the abandoned house connected with my ocs is that one in the horror game idea (that is impossible to be made in reality) i got #an abandoned house thats been used as both a shelter for nightmare and a hunting ground for anyone that dares enter #like how does the house feel like then? being abandoned for years to have visitors sometimes to explore its halls yet leave #after awhile. all for the thrill of a ''haunted house'' and now. nightmare and his monsters took shelter on it #how does the house feel then? its heart is beating with activity yet that very same activity is none other than occasional murder #from the unfortunate souls to take on a challenge of fear in the wrong house. one of which is inhabited by monsters #is the house happy to be lived in once again? with its purpose fulfilled? or is it sad in that the only beatin its heart has #is the activity of death. communication of screams. and the impending doom that once everything is over. itll be abandoned again #how does nightmare feel about the house? the house that he made as their shelter and hunting ground. providing him #a roof above his head. a place to hide and rest. and a place to obtain food without lifting his finger that much? #how would he feel once everything is over and its time to leave the house to move into a different one? to leave the house #thats been more than helpful to him and the other monsters? will he even want to leave it or merely repair it for the others to live in? #many things to consider now
