Man………… Scrolling by that video of that little girl (she looks at least 9-10 bro) doing a full face of makeup on TikTok talking about her “love life,” and “juicy texts,” um… I feel so unwell rn.

Apparently, her mother manages her TikTok as well… and her comments are full of predators. It just breaks my heart, man. There truly isn’t a place on the internet for children to go on anymore. I mean, there hasn’t been so for a very long time anyway. The last generation to be affected by this are the youth who are in their early 20’s and below, too.

Most people my age did not grow up playing on IPADS and carrying around fancy smart phones (we didn’t have them but also, most parents got their children cellphones for safety reasons or they just got them a track phone and called it a day. As long as you could call your parents and be called back, that’s all that really mattered.) I didn’t get my first phone until much later in my life since I’d always been the kinda person to live off of the grid and didn’t really care to contact others. I still don’t even like being on the phone like that and I’m a slow responder both through text and online DM’s and it’s just always been me. We had a lot of social media back then and the internet was no safer back then than it is now but there were also TONS of websites specifically heard towards children. Disney channel and Cartoon Networks websites back then were really good for kids and had a ton of fun games, as well as educational games, to play. There used to be so many video game websites… bro, I used to be so obsessed with blingee 😭!!! I used to cry to go to the library so that I could watch the Naruto abridged series on the computers there lol. My uncle gave us one of his fat white computers but my brother ended up messing it up so she eventually bought us a brand new one so that we could stop begging to go to the library. Most people didn’t have access to computers outside of going to the library or using them at school. At school, my teachers used to let me get on the internet because I wasn’t misbehaving and the other kids used to be so PISSED lmfao. All I did was watch the Naruto and YYH abridged series, bro. Wait, also anime of course in the classic 3 parts as well as AMVS 😭… no celebrity shit or fandom stuff. Just my interests that any other kid would be interested in. Mom didn’t even monitor our computer time fr but it’s more like we knew what was bad and stuff like that.

We really used to play outside, man. Like, I remember crying to go play outside!!! One time, my sister and I were playing across a giant grassy field with friends and their mother told them that it was time to go into the house since It had gotten dark… I remember feeling sad, not wanting the fun to ever end. I went home and mom was making dinner (macaroni, fried chicken, and potatoes I believe) and my brother had already made it back into the house and I just remembered my mom telling me to go get my sister since it was time to go in. But when I made it back to her, I didn’t tell her at all because again, I didn’t want the fun to end 😭. We ended up playing with some other kids who were playing outside a few houses around the corner facing the street (two little boys who were outside playing on their skates and they were trying to teach my sister and I how to skate lol. It was so fun! Then we saw the flashing lights from the police car about an hour or so later and got nervous and said our goodbyes. We made it back home and my mom had called the police 😭… she was furious and I remember she was about to whoop us by her friend who lived across the street from us somehow managed to calm her down and we were spared lmfao. That was still crazy that we didn’t get in trouble for that knowing how my mom was at the time, omg 😭.

Catch lightning bugs was so fun. Our friends who lived across the field from us had an uncle who used to play with all of us and passed out large jars once and had us catching as many lightning bugs as we could 🥺. Then we let them go whaa…

We used to play made up games with the kids from the neighborhood we barely knew, (one time, my mom through my sister and I a huge birthday party for our 6th b-day and got us a Black Barbie cake. We named the little girl on the cake “Ashley,” and she instantly became a new character in our Jerry springer ass doll play time lol. Literally every kid from the neighborhood showed up even though we didn’t know most of them but it was all so fun, we didn’t even care, man. Our cake was huge and we had a good time running around and getting dirty. I remember our apartment being filled with a gazillion balloons that my mom and her friend at the time, helped blow up together.

Playing at the park (I used to HATE when the big kids would show up because they wouldn’t let us get off of the giant tire and would continue to spin us around like crazy until it was scary 👎🏾.) Going to the candy stores was also fun… (my mom used to also run the most POPULAR candy store in the hood 😭. My siblings and I used to sneak into the snacks that she’d buy in bulk from the warehouse and hope that she didn’t find out before putting them on the shelf before opening up the store. Kids were running in and out of our backdoor (it faced the street and my mom kept the door open all day until she closed the store. All of the snacks were pushed up against the wall on a giant shelf as soon as you walked in. I think my brother’s father stole the self tbh) all day and my little brothers father used to be the one to cook all of the ground beef and warm up the cheese for the kids who I wanted to buy chips with cheese. Fun times)

I’m all over the place but man, I just wished that the world was kinder, especially to children. They’re so sensitive and any fucked up thing can changed the trajectory of their entire lives. And you have awful parents who are so desperate for attention, living vicariously through their little girls and boys, actively putting them in harm’s way for follows, likes, and views. They don’t see their kids as worth protecting, only toy. The sad thing is, these people know exactly what they’re doing by exposing their children to the world. You run your child’s account and see house comments from very obvious predators calling your child sexy and shit. It’s just… :(. I know that not everyone was fortunate enough to have a decent childhood (we were poor as hell but were happy) or parents who loved you enough to not put you in harms way and I am so sorry for that…. because you deserved better. But fuck. It’s so dark, man. It shouldn’t not be normalized to see little girls wearing full face makeup and long nails, trying to look older than what they are. And they don’t even know what they’re doing. They’re just babies, man. They should be playing outside and catching lightning bugs. Getting dirty from playing in the mud and dirt. Playing red light, green light and shit. Not worrying about if their contour is applied correctly. It’s bleak. The parents are getting younger and the grandparents; same boat. There’s no place left on the internet for the youth to be children and in rl, they’re clued to their phone screens and tablets all day. It’s… is it so over? I don’t fucking know, man.

ANON : “ Why does Sasori use Hiruko all the time when hes so ugly ”

That's actually a pretty good question anon ! So my thoughts are like yeah, Sasori is outwardly beautiful and eternally so which I do think there is some kind of element of vanity in but I guess maybe the best way to explain it is overall, Sasori is really the trope of distorted innocence which is a heavy theme surrounding objects like dolls in horror genres bc we relate dolls so heavily to children. Children love dolls and they're often human or animal shaped objects that a child can control / relate to since they're usually made to be representative of or desirable or just comforting to the child in some way: think baby dolls, barbie dolls, rag dolls etc.

Sasori is quite literally the Naruto worlds ultimate answer to the Doll Episode trope which is very common and effective in the horror and fantasy genre.

The dolls are being made to replicate/replace a lost loved one, such as a child, a spouse or a sibling. The dolls are made from human components, dead or otherwise. The dollmaker is obsessed with dolls for some reason, and has taken to preferring them over humans. Maybe even wishing humans were more like dolls. The dolls are possessed by an evil spirit, are Ridiculously Human Robots, or have otherwise become animated/alive and actively malevolent.

The dollmaker or collector will usually be a madman or woman who has taken a shine to the protagonists either as "something" to add to their collection, potential parts for their latest creation, or threats to themselves and their beloved collection, making them try to capture or kill them.

Sasori is literally every one of these elements combined and further he comes from the perspective of not just a disturbed adult but most strongly from the psyche of an extremely damaged child which is emphasized by the fact we do not see Sasori’s “ true self ” as a grown man. Hes forever in the body of a young boy. Trauma in children manifests itself in various different ways just like trauma in adults but sometimes traumatized children become very reliant on objects or tv shows, characters, etc for comfort and emotional support.

Things that aren't people, usually bc they've found people to be unreliable or a source of abuse/pain and thus they escape into or hide behind these ‘comfort objects’. Though the behavior is normal for very young children, children who never stop this kind of behavior and keep it going well beyond the age deemed appropriate to like certain things / carry around stuffed toys ETC are doing it usually because of trauma. Sometimes this is fine and not a problem for the person at all but sometimes is deeply unhealthy and does pose a problem for the effected person.

PS don’t take anything I say as gospel either ! Im not a professional or anything.

However, in my eyes Sasori is a deeply traumatised child. Puppets were an escape and a happy place for him. Somewhere he felt comfort. He tried to replace his parents with puppets to fill the void they left him with, he tried to make them love him like the real ones did. He took them to bed with him, gave them his pillows to sleep on. He spent a lot of time learning to make their movements lifelike so they could hug and comfort him the way his real parents did, it wasn't exactly the same but it was something he held on to to cope with their sudden departure.

This is all canon. In at least in my headcanon Sasori believed his mother and father puppets did ‘care for him’. He had this idea that there was a part of them in the puppets he made and whether that was true or not this idea was heavily reinforced when Sasori was pushed to become a shinobi, which he didn’t exactly have any objections to given he was only 6 and his mother, father and grandmother were all shinobi so it felt normal and good to be one himself. However, this is a massive fault of the Naruto world, child soldiers are not healthy or normal or good. Sasoris puppet parents, again in my HC, became his weapons. It gave them the illusion of protecting him because they literally were even if Sasori was the one controlling them.

Sasori may of “outgrown” these puppets but he never outgrew the attachment he had to puppets, rather this attachment gradually evolved when puppets became extremely idealised n intertwined with human life. The foundation for it was always there with how Sasori treated his parent puppets as “alive” in ways but the real problem�� came when Sasori started to relate living people / shinobi to puppets. He began trying to essentially make them one because he believed this was ideal not just because of his own personal trauma but because being a shinobi essentially meant being a weapon / object which human beings were ill suited while puppets were perfect.

Sasori was replacing the weak / unreliable / temporary / breakable with something strong / reliable / permanent / indestructible. Sasori was deeply effected by how much death and dismemberment he witnessed in the people around him, he sought to eliminate this issue. Puppets were his answer to everything. As this progressed he started disliking humanity entirely and clinging to his puppets as a source of shelter / refuge from humanity who swiftly began to judge him despite being the ones who set him on his path. In fact, in ways Sasori was basically ASKED to do what he did and when he did it suddenly everyone was against it. Its something Sasori couldn’t understand or handle. so Sasori went from wanting to breath life into puppets to simply wanting to make humans into puppets out a the deep dislike/distrust/betrayal he felt.

Komushi was Sasori’s first ‘ human puppet ’ but Sasori didn’t view Komushi as his own. He technically made Kumoshi for his mother. Needless to say despite the request its not what Kumoshi’s mother wanted.

There was a lot of pressure on Sasori to “preform” to help his village. To protect its people. Sasori outlived pretty much all shinobi tasked with the same job to the point where he started to believe in some way in the back of his mind that he alone was capable. He began to think if he just turned people into human puppets they couldn’t be beaten or destroyed because he wouldn’t allow such a thing.

Hiruko was Sasori’s first real creation for himself. No one asked him to build Hiruko, he didn’t build him to comfort anyone else. Hes kind of the first human puppet Sasori made when he began to do things for himself and not to help his village. In a way, Hiruko is linked to Sasori’s freedom, to Sasori choosing his art and “happiness” over his village’s desire for him to be a slave that follows orders and destroys himself for their betterment. He was done with that.

Essentially, despite Hiruko’s “ugliness” hes Sasori’s favourite toy and Sasori very much treats him the way a child treats a favourite toy. He goes everywhere with Sasori, Sasori relies on him out of comfort. Theres also the secondary element of convenience since he does mask Sasori’s true appearance giving him a disguise and hes literally a suit of armour as well. Sasori’s aware Hiruko is ugly but hes fond of him the way a child might love a teddy bear even if it the bear appears to others as gross and ratty and old and they could probably have a newer, prettier bear its not the looks that are important. Its The sentimental value and thus the comfort it provides.

I also personally view Hiruko as another symbol of that distorted innocence Sasori represents as I mentioned earlier. Sasori’s appearance is that of a young, beautiful, innocent serene looking youth which we know as his true form but rather, I see Hiruko as just as just as representative of the true Sasori, something more symbolic of Sasori’s soul. Something frightening, old, ugly and twisted and violent. They're both sides of the same coin. I think In some way, perhaps subconsciously Sasori relates to Hiruko this way as well.

LASTLY, before I ramble more bc omg I've never shut up a day in my life, Sasori and Hiruko are both representative literally of the scorpion. Sasori more spiritually and Hiruko more psychically. Scorpions are an armored, intimating animal with a venomous sting from their defensive and offensive tails. Scorpions are symbolic with healing, death, rebirth, passion, revenge, mystery.

Scorpions were thought to have the ability to heal just as easily as kill. Scorpions are both seen as evil and demonic as well as pure and angelic. They’re typically feared and also highly sacred. Theyre a symbol of deep emotion yet being an arachnid they’re also thought of as insectiod which simultaneously gives them the impression of being simply unfeeling and machine-like.

The scorpion represents a shy, gentle creature that prefers to keep to itself yet when needed its perfectly bold, magnetic and vicious. I think its really interesting to note how closely fitting Sasori is to the symbolism of scorpions if you look at them in various cultures and mythology and I've tied him very heavily to these concepts because I'm insane like that.

Do you mind if I ask your top 10 favorite characters (can be male or female) from all of the media that you loved (can be anime/manga, books, movies or tv series)? And why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before.....Thanks..

tbh this is extremely hard to answer because I have many interests. I’m sure I’ll feel bad when I remember the hundred other characters that should have made the list. I’m not putting any Ikuhara characters because it’d been too hard to pick and honestly I’d have to go through each work individually.

1. Tenma from Naoki Urasawa’s Monster. I don’t claim to be a complicated person, alright. I just think he’s nice. every time I read Monster I get more attached to him like a little baby duck, which is what all the other characters in that story do as well so I’m valid. trying to put it into words is hard--he’s just an alluring combo of pathetic, ridiculous, cool, strong, and kind. plus he kinda becomes a religious figure by the end and I’m a sucker for that shit.

2. Xie Lian from TGCF/Heaven Official’s Blessing. I read the novels this summer after watching the donghua. I was just expecting a decent BL, but what I got was epic historical supernatural fiction (and BL). Xie Lian is such an impressively written character. his story helped me deal with my own fall from grace, as it were, and was overall cathartic and engaging. plus he’s my type. step aside Hua Cheng, I’d die for him first.

3. Orel from Moral Orel. I love this show a lot because of its focus on the cruelty and hypocrisy of WASP America, and Orel is relatable for struggling to understand the bulltshit answers he gets to all his questions. he’s a lot more innocent than I was as a kid, but I think his kind of purity plays well against the satirical, dark edge of the show.

4. Reki from Haibane Renmei. most of the reasons I love her aren’t revealed until the very end of the show. I’ll say that I love her because she’s the ultimate manifestation of the story’s themes of guilt and redemption.

5. Ishida from Koe no Katachi. I just finished rereading this manga recently. if you want a character who does wrong, suffers, tries to change himself, but finds it isn’t that easy, Ishida is your man. he’s such a funny, well-written teen boy, but also someone I think anyone from any background can see themselves in--the good and the bad.

6. Naruto from... you know. Naruto was the first anime I became really obsessed with, when I was in middle school, and Naruto himself is the first character I can remember becoming attached to in an intense, lasting way. I loved him so much and I still have that attachment to him. he’s so, so cute, and so, so lovable. when I’m done with my first round of Ikuhara vids, I’m going to download Naruto so I can make my friend a Sasuke fancam and I’m also gonna make a Naruto edit just for me :)

7. Miyuki from Naoki Urasawa’s Happy! I’ve read everything by Urasawa except for Yawara, and I’m one of the only people who seems to have read Happy! I gotta say, would I pick it as one of his best works? no. I love everything he’s done, but something like 20th Century Boys or Billy Bat is clearly a more serious, meaningful story than Happy!, which comes out of his transition phase between writing romantic comedy sports manga and his later thrillers. however... Happy! is one of those works which makes me lose my mind regardless of quality. and Miyuki, the main character, is just so damn adorable. I find her a very appealing, sweet character. beyond that, kind of like Monster, the entire story is about people trying to break her down, but she refuses to ever give up and I love that sort of thing when played right.

8. Ged from Ursula K. Le Guin’s Earthsea series. I am still digging into Le Guin’s body of work but I’ve read most of her novels and short story collections. I could absolutely make a top ten list with just characters from her books. however, I managed to narrow it down to just three from this list, all from the Earthsea books. Ged is the only character who appears in all six books, and the reader gets to experience close the entire course of his life. he starts as an arrogant, careless boy and grows into a wise man. Le Guin decided not to leave him after he does his final great act, and his story continues after he loses his power. Tehanu, the fourth book in the series, is probably my favorite book I’ve ever read, I’ve thought about writing an analysis comparing it with RGU, and one of its main themes is life after loss and trauma. his story interwines with the next two characters on this list.

9. Tenar from Earthsea. like Ged, we get to see most of her life throughout the books. book 2 contains her coming of age story, while Tehanu features her as a widow, struggling between the life of an ordinary woman and her status in the mythology of Earthsea. she brings so much fire, mirth, and strength to the series. she’s someone I wish I had in my life, and if you really pressed me, she’s my favorite character Le Guin ever wrote.

10. Tehanu from Earthsea. this character is a strange one to try to write about. I’ve seen people criticize her writing by saying there’s nothing to her, she’s just a vessel for the story. but I can’t agree. as someone who’s known people who went through severe childhood trauma, I think that Tehanu is written with thought and care. I love how unnerving and unknowable she is, but also how she is written like she’s any other child. the ending of her story in the final book made me sob and sob and sob.

As I am a multi fandom writer, I’ll give a character from my main fandoms, I hope you don’t mind?

Naruto - people might think I’d say Shikamaru, given my obsession with the man, but I don’t wanna be friends with him, that’s for sure!! I’d have to say Iruka, I think we would be great friends. I can see him being very sassy, sarcastic and a lil bit bitchy on the sly, and I am here to supportive and cultivate all of that!! We’d sip tea and gossip about current events with dramatic eye rolls and fits of cackling laughter. Something also tells me he’d know exactly who is fucking who at any given moment…👀

Fairy Tail - Levy!! Gods, do I love this girl. She is like my sister soulmate and I like to dream that we would be the best of friends. Again, we are both fairly strong minded and not afraid to stand up for ourselves when someone might dare to trample us. We both love books, writing and enjoy being a shoulder for friends to cry on. As a duo, we’d be formidable. Poor Gajeel wouldn’t know what hit him…📚

JJK - Yuji, baby! The boy is so adorably sweet that I would spend my time cooing at him about how pretty his hair is and making him blush endlessly. I could well imagine I’d spend a good amount of time throwing sarcastic shade at his well intentioned idiocy, likely with the help of Megumi but we both adore him too much to ever wish to cause him any true hurt. He would be the extrovert to my introvert, pulling me into adventures and always holding my hand if I need the support. He is such a good boy! 😭

Black Clover - Finral, but I’d want it to be more. He is just so precious and caring of his friends and younger brother, despite the troubles… we’d have long chats about his childhood and I’d like to think that I could provide him with a safe space to vent his feelings instead of masking them. Maybe with time, trust and understanding, the friendship could develop… if not, l’d always treasure him as my best friend. 💘

🃏He’s an individual who gets turned on when he’s presented with a strong opponent who will grant him a fantastic fight and once that man finds such a person, he’ll go quite far for it to happen. We’ve seen it all on how persistent he was to get his fight with Chrollo and that’s how Hisoka will initially proceed with his s/o. Rumors fly around everywhere after all and at first his curiosity is sparked only because he hears that darling has a strong demon sealed inside of her, he’s literally always on the lookout for powerful people he can fight and that is why he finds himself searching for you, especially the story with the fox spirit inside of you elicits his undivided attention, far more special than what he has fought so far. How he displays his growing obsession afterwards is strange, but then again, what isn’t about him?

🃏Wanting to coerce you into fighting him or at the very least getting on your nerves just to get your attention turns with time to something more complicated as Hisoka finds himself developing feelings. It changes his perspective quite a bit, it is as interesting as it is troublesome. Insults against you suddenly start feeling a bit more personal and he finds himself getting frankly annoyed with them, the sadist inside of him wanting to be the only one to torment you and a oddly caring side inside of him triggering weirdly protective feelings. He has no real problems to do disturbing things to shoo such people away nor will he hesitate to spill blood. It provides advantages for him though, he’s most likely one of the very few persons who aren’t afraid of you and don’t avoid you and that enables him to spend more time with you, he wouldn’t leave you alone in either case.

🃏Why would his darling be so rude anyways, who else is there for them? Such a situation is the perfect semen to blackmail and manipulate without much doing himself. People literally do it all without him having to move much and he can play the part who offers some sort of distraction and comfort if you feel down and lonely. In that point having his darling being bullies is more of an advantage for him since it allows him to get closer so he won’t stop everyone from being mean to s/o, especially when they’re warily around him. Still is keen on fighting, hearing tales of the mind-blowing abilities of Kurama inside of you only increases his desire to get a taste of your strength for himself. You have to be kept in either case, finding someone like you and your companion is impossible.

Chrollo Lucilfer

📖Chrollo has a black flame inside of him that keeps on pushing him to continue chasing down the knowledge of this world, a thirst that never seems to be quenched. Years of his life spent with stealing, murdering and getting his cold and greedy hands on whatever he desires and yet people have to wonder after what he is exactly, if there are deeper intentions than the mere eye might see. He has eyes and ears in many places so he catches sooner or later wind of that one special story from a woman who holds a demon, a Kyubi, inside of her, possessing almost limitless powers thanks to it. He wonders what would happen if he could tame such power and that is why he goes down secretly hunting his s/o as well. It all starts out so usually, him putting on the mask of the nice guy who helps you through your daily life, shielding you from the whispers and the sharp words and cries of people who want you to leave so their village can be a safer place.

📖Knowing from the very beginning that this is no Nen-ability means already that he can’t steal it, but he hoped to extract that power somehow and make it his own. Until a uncertain factor suddenly slipped in that he did not expect at all to happen. He, Chrollo Lucilfer, fell in love. What a divine taste it was and is everyday, this feeling of love that drive humanity to madness since the beginning of their history. And it applies to Chrollo suddenly as well, it is a sudden addiction that he is aware of, but he doesn’t plan to quit now nor ever in his life. You’ve embraced his heart with a new and hot flame, a feeling only fueled when you’re near him. A master manipulator himself, Chrollo knows all too well how to use the hatred and the fear of people against his darling to coax her closer to him, to take more and more over her life and put himself in as an important and needed factor. Won’t tolerate the bullying at the same time though so not only does he attempt to isolate you and make you stay more at home, he’ll also order the other spiders to hunt down those who made you cry .

📖He can’t go quite yet with kidnapping, it’s somewhat boring and courting you normally is fun since he has confidence and knows that he’s a charming guy. But he also needs more information, far more knowledge about your powers, your relationship with Kurama and whether he can take control over you body and to which extent. This demon inside of you is being called a natural disaster with the destructive powers of one, a wrong move from his side could easily lead to the annihilation of the entire area and him plus possibly his troupe mates. But would you ever come with him if you were to know the truth, a man who wants the complete control over you and desires to be the only one you can truly feel alive around?

Feitan Portor

☠️He’s a loyal guy for the spiders and their boss so when Chrollo suddenly wanted a closer investigation on a certain person after having picked up some quite interesting gossip, Feitan found himself naturally tagging along. There really wasn’t much that could have caught his own curiosity except that obviously highly fascinating fact that you had a damn demon fox living inside of you, whether that thing was an ally of yours or only tortured you as much as everyone else was a mystery. Chrollo did at first all the work, the rest of the troupe was more there to collect knowledge and information through other resources and sometimes they were ordered to watch and stalk on you, orders from the boss are orders from the boss after all.

☠️Maybe even after it is clear that your power can not be stolen from Chrollo as it is not a Nen-ability, there’s a chance for the leader to still want to keep an eye on you. Someone as extraordinary as you with Kurama shouldn’t just be left alone, far too much of a waste it would be. So where does Feitan gets stuck in between all this mess? A waste of time is what he calls it, there seems to be no way to steal those skills of yours and an extraction would be difficult, for now there are on top of that no informations whether one exists or not. So they’ll have to search for such a way to add another possibility and despite light nagging he will do as he is told whilst also having to observe and interfere it you were to try something stupid. So when did this all go down for him? Where is the amusement to see others causing you pain even if you were not to show it on the outside? When did it start to anger him to the point where he wanted to torture them and when did he start to get drawn in by your very way of moving, fueling his imagination?

☠️You can’t possibly expect him to admit this, he doesn’t even understand himself for a good while and that simply irritates him. Talking about you causes him to a t weirdly passive-aggressive and there is a certain feeling of unease bubbling up inside of him when he thinks about the fact that Chrollo might kill you to gain control over Kurama somehow. His mind is driving silently crazy when he watches you as fear, anger and a peculiar excitement stir up within him. Keeping his emotions hidden under the other spiders and the leader is impossible on the longer run, they eventually find out. And despite being a usually cold-hearted person, Chrollo cares about the spiders and in a way it’s really just amusing to discover Feitan finally having gained feelings for someone. Surely he can find a way to solve this problem without angering Feitan, though Chrollo advices to proceed carefully with someone who could potentially lash out and kill everyone in the closer and more distant surroundings of yours.

Shalnark

📱Life and reality alongside with it are kind of bored for Shalnark as long as there is nothing interesting going on or no missions are currently in preparation. He’s a little freak in regards of technology and most likely searches through all kind of browsers just to find something that might peak his interest the tiniest bit. No lie, he might just be a small gossip king and he found his s/o probably just like that. Somewhere online and it was worth taking a closer look inside which is exactly what he did. Be that through hacking the account of the person who wrote about it and checking their messages or mails or surfing through the internet for every possible piece of information, the more Shalnark finds, the more he’s intrigued. Partially because he believes if this story with the Kyubi is true, it might be from interest to Chrollo as well, but just as much because he senses something very promising coming from the rumors for his own amusement.

📱Tracking s/o down was a bit harder since infos online were a bit of rarity, but that only made it all the more fascinating for him. In the end Shalnark always gets what he wants though and as soon as he had done enough research, he finally decided to meet you in person. Aware beforehand that your circle of closer friends is little to none and being a sociable and nice guy, getting closer was not all too hard despite your initial rather careful reactions. It’s not like Shalnark doesn’t get why you would react like this, but he’s a manipulative asshole enough to know that every person yearns for contact with a real person and you won’t be an exception. He’s highly satisfied with his decision to get to know you though, the secrets you have and the weird relationship you have with this fox inside of you up to the personality of yours that has been majorly influenced from the constant mistreatment you receive. Shalnark is only using his s/o at first though as a way to kill time and quench his own curiosity, but gradually this becomes something more for him.

📱You become something more for him. A petty little delusion is born, that his darling has truly only him to rely on since society turns their back on her, that she only needs him to start with. He enjoys the attention that is only on him and not gonna lie, he wants to keep it that way which means that he won’t completely stop the bullying, though he ruins the reputation of everyone who went too far. Just enough exposition for you to only cherish him more just as he does. How could you reject him after all? He’s nothing short of sweet with the small presents he gets you and with his affection and touchiness that seems to grow more and more with passing time. He’s normally one to kidnap, but throwing in your Kurama friend inside of you requires a more sly and slick way. Nothing is impossible though, especially when it comes to his possessiveness that you stay with him.

Phinks Magcub

👊Phinks is just as loyal as every other spider, but going continuously with the same scenario would be boring so let’s switch it up a bit. The Phantom Troupe assembles whenever they plan a bigger move, but if that isn’t the case they seem to travel around quite a bit, though still keeping in touch with each other in case of new orders from their boss. So that’s where it all starts for Phinks, him going around a bit and overhearing by pure accident a conversation between a few people, a very interesting one to top that. After all he can’t quite recall ever having heard a story like this before, about a girl who has a demon, a Kyubi, sealed away inside of her and how feared she is for it. Gossip can be only gossip so there is no way for him to know whether it’s true or not, well, unless he forcefully asks the people talking about it. If they only heard rumors about it, nothing is gained and even if they were to insist that it’s true, have they ever seen it before? This fox spirit? If this all is just a huge bullshit, he wouldn’t want to bother Chrollo with it.

👊But curiosity killed the cat as everyone knows and if it should indeed prove to be right, he knows his boss might be interested in it as well. His own interest pushes him on top of that so he soon finds himself in the village where you live and it does not take long to find you, the whispers and glares from people practically glued to your back. He sympathizes a bit, being rejected from society because he was born in Meteor City helps him to gain an understanding for you. Spending time with you shouldn’t cost him much from his life, his interest is only enhancing as he finally meets you after all the rumors and tales. And it doesn’t take really long for Phinks to discover a very important thing that everyone else completely ignores out of fear. That s/o is a person as well, a human who has emotions like everyone else does and suffers from the hatred and the fear she’s constantly put under. And so he grows protective, at a rapid rate the more you seem to rule his heart and mind.

👊He turns more aggressive towards anyone who even looks with those disgusted eyes at you and it might seem like he’s on multiple occasions only a small pinch away from throwing actual fists. He just isn’t able to understand how someone as kind and sweet as s/o can be treated like this, it frustrates him to no end. Things only worsen when he reaches the point of being pretty much struck with Cupid’s arrow and he himself does not know from where he should go from here. He wouldn’t really want to kidnap you, though the constant bullying pinches him quite a bit on his nerves. Phinks just…wants his s/o to be safe and protected and if the time arrives where the other spiders are made aware of this, he will plead for assistance.

Pakunoda

💘Pakunoda has her work which automatically has dirtied her hands already a bit, but it doesn’t mean that her heart is truly merciless and cold. She has feelings and is a woman who can understand others and feel for them just as much, though she’ll kill without hesitation for her boss. She came across the village her darling lived in through traveling a bit around since there were no missions to expect from the boss in the near future which gave her the opportunity to enjoy the free time for a bit. Just like that she stumbled into a village that practically focused on beating a certain someone up and pushing her around like a empty bottle. She was new so she was quickly told from shop owners or people she bumped into and talked a bit with about you, more of a monster than a person for you had one inside of you. She senses it already, the wrongness and how unfairly you are seen and treated yet the worst was when she saw it in person.

💘Completely ignored when wanting to buy something or needing help and having fingers pointed at you here and there, mean names and even being physically lightly pushed around. She probably shouldn’t step in but she couldn’t just watch either and the moment you got yelled at from the owner of a shop simply because you looked at some accessories, she had to put her foot down and defend you. Maybe because she shares a similar background as yours, abandoned from society and she sees that you are a human just as much as everyone else, but after that day she spends more time with you. It’s a pity that people never care to get to know you better, that’s what she thinks as she finds herself meeting you more often and defending you daily against hatred and hostility you don’t deserve at all. Pakunoda won’t kill or act aggressive, but she’s scary when she gets serious and angry.

💘You are being framed for something you can’t do anything against, a victim of being sacrificed for a decision without the right to say if you wanted it that way or not. She’s more of a slow burn, but the moment she catches feeling things go deeply very fast and the relationship gains only more closeness as a result as she starts being more and more gentle and lovingly to her s/o. She won’t rush things and she understands that her darling might have trust issues to start something serious and she has those for a reason, Pakunoda isn’t a Yandere to force her love into anything unless it’s for the safety of s/o’s health. It has to be said though that she definitely thinks it would be a better idea if her s/o would move somewhere more isolated where no one knows her and she can start a new life. And she doesn’t care much what the people in the village would think, they only treated you like shit and neither you nor Kurama inside of you belong to them.

Machi Komacine

🪡She is someone who seems more like she has closed the doors to her heart, but open it once and even under her rough behavior she has a warm and soft spot. Machi seems like the type to wander around a bit when no missions are scheduled as well, though she seems to take a medical position within the troupe as well. Bumping into her darling one day as she was nearing a small town nearby was more of an accident and the first meeting was brief, a few friendly words and greetings from your side as you took notice of the bag she was carrying around, assuming that she was new. The pink-haired woman kept rather quiet, though not out of impoliteness or anything in that direction. Rather her intuition suddenly calling out to her, we do know that she has a sharp sense when it comes to such things. That was the case with you as well, something about you was…different.

🪡What it was and whether it meant that you were a menace or not was unclear, but suspicion was her initial reaction. It wasn’t until she stepped inside the village and looked around for a bit that she found out, all it took was listening to the small talks on the streets to overhear their complaints, their fears about you. A bit surprised as she asked someone and got a better explanation about your situation and it was the first time her dislike towards the village grew as she quickly came to notice about the accusations that were thrown against you. She felt bad for s/o, but she wasn’t quite determined to do much to help her yet, she didn’t want to get involved too much. That was until she witnessed darling being bullied later that day, purposely being pushed around and scraping her knees and hand palms in the process.

🪡You can’t expect her to be that heartless, she sympathized and that’s why she stopped the bullies from continuing and my world, her words are as sharp as a knife. Taking care of the minor injuries of yours and advising you to defend yourself better next time before she was already gone, only that after that day you suddenly glued a bit more to her side. Not exactly thrilled at first, but she knew that having someone to accept and help you must be rare so she ended up tolerating it as long as you didn’t get too clingy. All things came in time, just like her slow obsession. She wants her darling to learn to stand up a bit more for herself, after all she won’t be always able to be there for her and that’s what partially worries her. Machi doesn’t feel safe to leave you alone in the village, afraid that the bullying and your stress will one day pass the limit and lead to terrible consequences so just like Pakunoda she will try to convince you to move somewhere else, somewhere more peacefully.

Uvogin

🫀I wonder what brought him to the place where you lived in, what do you think? Were it the rumors as well, the chance to find someone who might end up giving him a good fight since he loves fighting as well? Or was it something else? Maybe it wasn’t the gossip at all, he actually hadn’t much of an idea until he actually arrived in the town, though people probably shied at the sight of him a bit as well, I doubt normal citizens get to see a man his build that often. Not like he necessarily cared very much, he pretty much ignored them and just kept on going and it wasn’t until later that someone finally dared to talk to him. That person was, you guessed right. Darling! It had to be curiosity about him since he obviously wasn’t from here and why would you from all people fear someone like him when you’re already called a beast and monster yourself?

🫀His interest and romantic attention wasn’t focused on you at that time though, he probably even got annoyed a bit and tried to intimidate and scare you away from him, only to discover that you were little to not impressed at all. That’s why he accepted, admitting that you had guts since the average person would have sprinted over the next hill by now, he even asked later on why you weren’t even the tiniest bit afraid of him back then? Your answer…was a vague one, understandable since you wouldn’t want to take the risk to have him being afraid of you as well. It left him with questions, though he got his answers soon enough. You successfully managed to grab his interest after all and that’s why he actually reacted the next day when he heard someone uttering your name, it was the only thing he knew about you. And oh, what a surprise, he sought answers in form of the person who had just mentioned you. They gave him one, more out of fear from him.

🫀His reasons after knowing the truth are in a similar egotistical light as Shalnark’s, he simply was suddenly more interested and wanted to quench his curiosity which is why he instantly looked out for you. You said nothing against it though, even with his rough behavior it was pleasant to have a person who didn’t fear you. As a Yandere Uvogin loses that edge towards you, it only grows towards others though and that is simply because he loathes them for treating you like a monster. He’s probably even more prone to going violent than Phinks is, but he can be stopped from his darling as well, though revenge is always an option. Usually he just scares everyone away when in public since normal people are far too much of a coward to insult you when this giant of a man is with you. He’s softer to his s/o and is actually a Yandere who wouldn’t want to go with kidnapping, on the other hand he’s also rather protective so seeing you being so miserably treated forces him to find another solution which should not be abducting you.

Nobunaga

🗡I doubt that he was planning on getting himself much involved into something either when he visited this certain village due to no missions being planned and due to wanting to look around a bit, maybe to find something that would catch his eye. He’s perceptive so chances are that he had some sort of idea about you and the reputation about you cursing through this village, but that it had escalated that much wasn’t something he was prepared for. Honestly, he was a bit stunned as he walked through the streets, hearing here and there people gossiping around you and their clear distaste for you was as clear as the sky blue day. Nobunaga isn’t someone to get swept away easily though, he did not know enough about you to even start to judge you from rumors and bad talk alone. But similar to Pakunoda he pities you from hearing people talk alone, their hatred pointing daily against you.

🗡Whether he planned to do something against it or not is unclear, but when he saw your form walking around the village, gaze fixed on the ground and letting the yells and insults that you and the monster inside of you should just disappear each over you, he just had this sudden urge to talk to you. Walk with you for a bit, completely brushing other’s comments and warnings about it off. There was this certain warily stare in your eyes at first, afraid that he was just faking to humiliate you later on. You didn’t offend him though, it was understandable after all that years of being treated like an outcast would shape you accordingly. In the end s/o decided to engage in the talk, still careful. He didn’t mind though. And this one meeting only proved what he had already suspected beforehand. The whole talk about you being a monster was a lie, you were a friendly and nice person who was being bullied out of fear because of the Kyubi inside of you.

🗡It saddens him, especially now that he has gotten to know you a bit better and from that point on he decides to gift you a little bit kindness that you rarely get, though he honestly is aware that he is far away from being a good person with the crimes he’s committed for his boss and the troupe. Love was never intended to fall upon him, but it’s an emotion no one can control nor can he. Similar to Pakunoda he sorts it all out quicker than many others do and since he’s so subtle with it, the normal eye won’t notice at all. He gets more protective without using violence since he can be very threatening to others yet to his darling he grows more gentle and kind. Similar to Pakunoda, Nobunaga isn’t a guy to force his darling into a relationship via violence or manipulation, especially if he takes her circumstances and her part into account. For now it isn’t even his first priority, safety and a comfortable life is what he rather wants to gift you first before his own love and adoration and believe me, he will give you a better life.

I don't have any problem with her Obsession with Sasuke... Really... Yeah, I said this as one of the reason in many of my posts... But that reason is just a mere supplementary to an already written novel.

I mean she was introduced to the readers as someone who wants to steal the kiss of a guy... Did I hated her at that time?? Not really.

Her Insensitive & Asshole behaviour towards every other characters we came to love and adore... Is the biggest problem in her. And Sakura was doing all these because of her Obsession with Sasuke. She would put Naruto, Ino, Sai, Kiba, Lee, Her parents, Tsunade, Karin even Sarada under the dirty ditch if that could get her Sasuke.

My point is "Was it worth??? Was it necessary??".

Naruto was also insanely obsessed with Sasuke. But when Sasuke was planning to destroy Konoha, didn't Naruto say, "Sasuke, Our battle will be inevitable, if you do attack Konoha..."????

You know what this scene is equivalent to??? On my first watch, It reminded me of a typical Girl asking a boy, "Hey dear, If there is a situation where Your Mom and Myself were in grave danger, and you could save only one person... Whom will you save?? Who is more important to you, me or your mom??".

The Guy will say, "Of course my Mom. But I would die with you anyway... Because I can't live with a regret of letting my mom die... But also I can't live without you... So, I'll save my mom and die with you"

Naruto did the exact same thing here...

Did Naruto started to hurt anyone or indulge Sasuke to hurt other people under the name of the love???

And what did Sakura do??? She left Sai, Kiba and Lee exposed on the middle of the road... She was planning to kill Sasuke, Fakely confessed Naruto knowing full well that Hinata love him... Geez.

There is this misconception that "Independent and Strong girls needs to be Violent, Badass and Kick the ass of other men". But that’s not true at all. Feminine Women can also be Independent, Strong and still they can achieve their goal.

Take for Example, Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones. A Thoroughly hated Character in the Fandom.

She started out much like Sakura. Like an Annoying Idiot who puts a boy over her family... She hated her Family and Home because it was boring and dull... She wanted a pretty prince in shining Armour to come save her... And When a situation presented itself, instead of Choosing her own Family... She chose her Prince. And her naive decision was what later came to shoot her foot in a worst way possible...

Because she ended up losing her family (they were all massacred). Her Home was burnt... She was made to strip off her clothes in front of many People... She was intentionally left to be raped by some angry mob. Her Father was beheaded And the reason behind all of her miseries was that sadistic Prince she always wanted for herself...

To be factual, she became a Pawn for other’s Game.

But instead of being a Damsel in distress and waiting for someone to come save her.... She started to use her wits and practical thinking (She is not a Warrior type), and decided ‘Enough is Enough... Instead of being abused by all these people... Let me stand up for myself... I want to reclaim my Home... That’s my place... Now and Forever’. She has a good administrative and tactical skills.

You see... A Character who started out very similar to Sakura evolved into a Mature woman and ended up becoming a Queen who was loved by many people in the End. Oh, By the Way... She didn’t end up marrying anyone though... She contextually said, “I don’t need any man to rule my Home”.

However, the Fandom still hates her from the bottom of their heart... Because the Fan Favourite, Badass character ended up committing Genocide.... Whereas the allegedly “useless” AKA the most Feminine Character ended up becoming a queen.

I too hated Sansa in the beginning just like how I hated Sakura... But as the story evolved... My feelings also evolved the same. Today, 90% of the fandom hates her through their bone... But I fall on the 10% of the people who admire her despite she had never shown the trait of Kick Ass, Slay bad guys type... She was gentle, patient, kind and yet sharp-tongued by calling out Bullshit as Bullshit.

Don’t you think I would have also loved Sakura if only she had not ended up being an Asshole to atleast one person???? Atleast one????

The Reason I brought Naruto dying along with Sasuke scene is to show that Had Sakura been empathetic and considerate to other people and stopped Sasuke from destroying other people.... then Her Obsession would have been justified...

The Reason I brought Sansa Stark is to show that Had Sakura. at some point, realized that losing/disrespecting the Bonds she had with others for the sake her sex drive is Simply not worth it... Then her Obsession for Sasuke would have been justified...

It’s okay to have priorities.... Naruto has one, Sasuke has one... Sakura prioritizing Sasuke is not a problem at all... But AT WHAT COST????

I’ve watched (OG) Naruto 3 times. I’ve watched Naruto Shippuden 4 times. I’ve been watching it since 2014. I’m still not getting the whole Kakashi x Iruka ship.

Honestly, I don’t see it. I just don’t. They’ve hardly interacted. Kakashi was never even into him. He showed zero attraction towards him.

I mean, let me give you my opinions on Kakashibowl ships.

Kakashi x Itachi? I ship it and I can see it. Because, they were both in the ANBU and were partners. They got along well and Kakashi even stopped some fellow ANBU from bullying Itachi. He also seemed to have taken a liking to Itachi. He was even sad when the Uchiha massacre happened. He asked himself if Itachi was always that dark and if he just hadn’t seen it.

Kakashi x Might Guy? I definitely see it. I don’t ship it. But, this ship is definitely real.

Kakashi x Minato? I LOVE this ship! It’s my 3rd favorite Kakashi ship. I mean, many people might say they were more like Father and Son. But, Kakashi NEVER thought of Minato as his Dad. Minato was his sensei, idol, God, crush. In Naruto Shippuden he kept on thinking about Minato half the show. He said, talked, thought about Minato so many times that he’d come close to rivaling Naruto’s obsession with Sasuke. It had been over 16 years and his infatuation with Minato had not diminished in the slightest. He even mistook Naruto for Minato during the war.

Kakashi x Naruto? I USED to ship them before watching Naruto Shippuden. I mean, I can clearly see the ship. But, I prefer Kakashi x Minato so much more. And I don’t think I can go back to shipping KakaNaru when I know that Kakashi x Minato came first. So, I do see the ship. I just don’t ship it.

Kakashi x Obito? This is my 2nd favorite Kakashi ship. It’s practically canon!!! No need to explain why it’s practically canon. Y’all can just watch their episodes in Naruto Shippuden.

Kakashi x Sasuke? I’ve always had mixed feelings about this one. Personally, I think it feels more like a Father/Son relationship. And in Shippuden it just feels like all Sasuke feels for Kakashi is hatred and nothing else. So I don’t actually see this as a ship.

Kakashi x Yamato? OH MY GOSH! My favorite Kakashi ship! Words can’t describe how much I love it. This ship even had it’s own filler arc. Which reminded me so much of Romeo & Juliet. I mean, it’s thanks to this arc that I can never hate Danzō. Not even after what he did to my favorite Uchiha (Shisui). Danzō rescued Yamato and actually took care of him as if he were his own son. Yup. Danzō was actually nice and caring with Kid Kinoe (Yamato). He also reminded me of Juliet’s Dad when he had found out that Juliet slept with Romeo. When Danzō found out that his baby boy had fallen for Kakashi. Well, he didn’t take it very well. He tried everything to keep his precious "son" away from Kakashi. He even went as far as trying to erase his memory or brainwash him. I don’t know what he was going to do. But, it involved a tied up Yamato to a chair and Danzō using some sort of head device. But, Kakashi barged in with Lord Third in tow and rescued his Juliet just in time.

For Pete’s sake! Even Asuma x Kakashi and Zabusa x Kakashi have more chemistry than Kakashi x Iruka.

I saw you rb a SaiSaku post and was curious if you had any fanfic recs for this rarepair?!

Do I have?!!!!! I am currently binging this ship so you couldn't have asked this at better time.

This pair is not a crack ship! Crack would mean they have not shared more than two words with each other. But SaiSaku interactions always bordered on romance and best friends who don't act like it. Not only Sakura was the first person to acknowledge Sai had human side to him and bonded with him over his painting, Sai was also the only person outside Sasuke (in part 1) to be able tell her fake smiles and he always understood her feelings better than other characters. Had Sakura ever only cared for good looks (something she don't) then with Sai she'd get that and so much more.

I have always considered SaiSaku as the next best thing after NaruSaku. They had too much potential as a couple. I am not bitter that InoSai became a thing but looking at them I only feel that "Ino didn't get Sasuke so she get his look-alike." Besides, Sai gave people nicknames that are opposites to what actually feels about them – Naruto as Dickless, Sakura as Hag/Ugly and Ino as Beautiful – which makes it worse. Both Ino and Sai deserve better than this. If Kishi has shown them together more often or had interactions between them similar to SaiSaku then I can understand why Ino is his light. I guess it is also SP's fault for showing them in different light. For all SP hates Sakura, they enjoy messing up with her fans by feeding them false hope.

Whenever I want to read something hilarious but deep, SaiSaku is my to-go couple. Usually angsty, or full bout of insults and punches. There's no in between with them.

im kinda mad at kishi for like,,,, making such a big plot on narusasu but in the end,, having them end up with other ppl? its so unsettling like it how someone can write 700+ chap about gay angst & longing/pining only for them to not end up with eo

I mean I never expected them to end up with each other officially because it’s both Japan and on top of that SJ, a conservative country and a conservative industry. While American homophobia is often based on religious beliefs, or just “different = wrong”, Japanese homophobia frequently stems from sociocultural pressure to get married and have kids. It’s seen as a way to honor your parents and your ancestors. Choosing a “gay life style” can be seen as selfish and disrespectful to your parents and going against the whole society. While this is not the case for everyone many gay people in Japan get married to the opposite sex and have kids to conform to society’s expectations.

With this in mind, a lot of media is of course influenced by the general mindset and politics, SJ as well. SJ also targets boys. Japanese male fans of shonen don’t like gay any more than the ones in the USA. Hell, a lot of fujoshi don’t want the characters to be actually gay, they only like it in fantasy.

Editors are working together with the mangaka, and they also care a lot about mass appeal, what sells. Did you know Kishimoto talked about a “new perv jutsu” 5 years before reverse harem jutsu appeared in the manga?

So yeah this is the one that was so “controversial” that it took 5 years to get it in... Of course Jiraiya and other cliche perverts in shonen are totally okay even when peeping on women and being creeps, but creating an illusion of a harem of naked men is just too much. Also just like in the West, there are also parents who don’t want material that they see as inappropriative for their kids to read.

A few years ago there was talk about Isayama commenting on one of his friend’s manga that had one gay subplot (as in, it wasn’t a gay manga, but had a gay romance plot line) and Isayama mentioned on his personal blog that he thinks he might like BL. To this his friend responded; “Thank you so much! It seems like I was unintentionally able to invite Isayama-san to the world of BL so I got some strange courage!” Sooo mysteriously said manga got axed right after the BL subplot hmmm I wonder what was the reason 😶 People also said Isayama was being “gross”. Same way when Isayama made a comment about questioning whether Levi likes women at all, it pissed people off, or when Reiner and Ymir made their comments about not liking the opposite sex.

So it also reflects negatively on the authors. People question why do you want to show such degenerate things especially in a neutral or positive light. Like I mentioned earlier I saw even naruto threads discussing about it, saw people calling Naruto a psycho bisexual or that his obsession with Sasuke makes them uncomfortable, or asking why does he have to be so homosexual. At the same time, I saw one comment saying if this was another world maybe Naruto could be the hero, the president and also have his husband as the adjudant. So there are open-minded people too, even if the most loud ones are the homophobic ones, or people who try to avoid the discussion alltogether.

So as you can see there are many reasons. Kishimoto’s own fixation with N.S. is amusing though, aside from his favorite panel being the usuratonkachi one from 698, he wrote the disaster that is Gaiden where Sasuke looks absolutely miserable when asked to draw something for SS, but wrote Boruto movie where Sasuke looks actually happy with Naruto and Boruto and also helps fixing the relationship between the two. Naruto even wonders which one does Boruto resemble more lol. But SJ wants to milk the series with the next gen sooo this is what we got.

Why Adrien is Better off Gay/Bi/Pan || Miraculous, Why?

(Before I begin, note that this is my opinion over the topic and am no way am bashing anyone’s love for the ship and/or character. I respect who and what you like, therefore expect the same courtesy. However, if this is something you cannot handle, please click the back button as this will be a heavily discussed topic. No flames allowed. Other than that, enjoy.)

I’m afraid I have to address the elephant in the room. Of how the hetero pairings for Adrien are about as real as Twilight. Sometimes it makes me wonder if Thomas Astruc looked at the ships in the end of Naruto and though… makes sense? That’s a long shot convo for another day.

I’m going to take the time in this chat to discuss why each female who has an interest in Adrien has no chance of having a healthy relationship with him and to why male characters have better chances! Let’s look at the girls one by once.

Lila: Let’s start with the obvious. Lila is clearly not interested in Adrien for his personality, but merely for the good looks and fame. She really hasn’t demonstrated any behavior that she cares for him genuinely and hangs off of him constantly as a possession. It’s clear Lila sets her eyes on Adrien because he’s famous, popular and wants him as a trophy husband. Lila is pretty toxic on her own to go so far as to sneak in and stalk Adrien. What’s worse is that she now has Gabriel’s permission to do so. If he were to be paired with Lila, it’ll break him and be nothing but hell.

Chloe: While it shows itself that Adrien has only platonic feelings for Chloe, she still hopes for something more. Adrien cares deeply for Chloe because he was her first friend, though it’s obvious Chloe wants more. Though Chloe has a mean streak and a possessive behavior where she tends to be cruel to people aside from Adrien and expects to get away with it every time. With the behavior she gets from being spoiled and trying to live up to her mother, would it be farfetched to say a future marriage between these two would be like Audrey/Andre? I don’t think so. Plus, she forgets his birthday. What kind of friend does that?

Kagami: Not going to lie, out of all the pairs, Kagami does have the most potential to be paired with Adrien. She meets him through fencing, they get time to know each other and they slowly start to grow as friend. However, that just about ends when it comes to such as Kagami is another girl who takes it a step too far. Like Chloe, Kagami follows too much in her mother’s footsteps and also is overly aggressive and competitive. She looks to quickly claim Adrien because they’re ‘perfect’, which is a word Adrien hates a lot under his façade. She’s gets possessive around other girls near Adrien and moves too quickly, also forcing Adrien to make his decisions as if he doesn’t have the time to decide.

And last…

Marinette: Marinette… in a way is a small combination of the girls combine. No doubt she’s sweet, shy and tries help at times when matters. BUT she’s also obsessive, possessive, and hypocritical. Things a potential yandere usually becomes. She invades Adrien’s privacy, stalks him, and steals from him more so than Lila. She doesn’t mind crossing boundaries as far as doing illegal acts such as breaking into his locker, copying his schedule? How even. She also tried to confess to Adrien on the day his mother disappeared/died which is a time for MOURNING and COMFORT! She also has no problems calling other people out on this behavior, yet she does the same things. Hypocrisy is never a good color to wear.

Not to mention she only is ‘in love’ with one side of him. As Ladybug, which is important, she tends to put him down as Chat Noir, doesn’t give him proper respect in public and doesn’t include him with important matters, especially with Master Fu. She treats him as his sidekick rather than his partner and leaves him in the dark. She thinks of herself as Batman and him Robin. If you read the comics or watch some of DC shows, you know how well THAT goes. Marinette cannot love Adrien without loving and respecting him as Adrien AND Chat.

Granted, she’s not the only girl who treats Chat badly, but she is supposed to be his ‘partner’ so… yeah.

For these girls it wouldn’t make sense. Not to mention at least once, the girls tend to make Adrien uncomfortable holding him on his arm and such. They don’t act like they care of Adrien’s well being at all (except for Kagami sometimes), but make him to be some prized to be won. Forced shipping is toxic shipping.

I can gladly blame the poor writing on the show, but pretty much it did it’s damage enough for me to say I cannot or will not romantically ship these girls with Adrien. If there were potential girls, girls like Rose, Juleka heck even Alix, but it’s safe to say that’s out of the question.

You know who DOES have the more potential, though? The boys.

Yes. As we take a chance to look at the friends he bonds with, its easy to say Adrien is more comfortable around the guys. The party before it was crashed, the video game tournament, these are just a few that aren’t shown often but do show more of Adrien’s comfort level. What guys you ask?

A perfect example for a ‘friends to lover’ romance would be Nino for example. He starts off subtly and gets to know Adrien from the start, not showing any animosity after the misunderstanding with Adrien and his childhood friend, Marinette. Nino also goes through lengths to help Adrien as far as to stand up to Gabriel to give Adrien a friggin’ birthday party! And got akumatized for it. Adrien also shows to go through the same lengths to help Nino hook up with Marinette so far as to set him up alone in the zoo. Nino is sweet, caring and he works well with Chat.

Another potential love interest (my personal OTP), Luka. From the get-go of how they met from a trip accident, Luka greets Adrien with kindness and welcomes him to the group in Captain Hardrock. In ‘Desperada’, that same friendliness still holds as Luka trust Adrien with his guitar, his most prize possession. Luka also does his best to keep Adrien safe and hidden away as Adrien returns the favor to save Luka from getting hit. Don’t push me about the locker scene because there are MULTITUDINOUS ways of how I can make so many ‘In the closet’ references. Also, that wink Chat gave, and the look Luka had? Need I say more? Good. And let’s not forget the icing on the cake and keep in mind to remember:

Adrien chose Luka to wield the Snake miraculous. ADRIEN, not ladybug, chose LUKA. Not to mention the fact, as Viperion, he was eager to work with Chat the moment they met and has nothing but good working with him as a teammate. That’s a bonus.

Many fans of the show try to depict them as rivals for Marinette, but only Luka shows that interest in which Marinette doesn’t really accept because of her obsession with Adrien. To make Adrien ‘jealous’ is really out of character, but another topic I’ll cover.

Truthfully, it would be an interesting twist of all the girls pushed up against Adrien, he would turn around and go for the cute guitarist or starts talking about how cute the guy is! Tell me that Degrassi twist wouldn’t add some good drama.

Overall, the show demonstrates so far that most of the girls for Adrien doesn’t really possess healthy qualities for Adrien to have a good future. The boys give him a more comfortable understanding a gentle nature for a kid like Adrien. You could pair him up with Ivan or Max and Adrien would STILL have more chemistry than them. Note that he’s sheltered, and we have no clue off what other mannerism he was raised on or how truly strict Gabriel and Nathalie are. Hell, we don’t even know how it was like when Emilie was even around.

But for any relationship to work, friendship before romance. Slow but steady at the pace both parties can go. People including Adrien, need that.

In the Naruto modern AU, how do you think things would go? Obviously they would be different since they don’t have gods, jutsu’s, and talking toads, so what would the world be like?

Would the bonds be different given the circumstances? Would Naruto and Sasuke end up together? Would they not? Would Sakura and Hinata grow out of their boy obsessed phases and learn there are other fish in the sea? Or would they not? Would Itachi’s life be different? Would Naruto’s goal be to become the president or something? Or maybe the mayor of the town? Or to become a Ninja, because maybe he admires them so much? Just let me know how you’d picture the modern Naruto AU!

If you mean a modern AU like the world we live in nowadays, (but say for ex a non-existent- country) I think yep the bonds would be very different.

Part of SNS intense bonding is also due to a lot of circumstances and context that in our days, we do not have. They love deeply in their world because death is on every corner, and also for SNS an almost... mythological strenght and god support them as soulmates. Everything about the context supports them as Soulmates besides of course their own personal story. Say their nature chakras, their colours chakras, the sharingan and its connection with agony of love, and etc.

In a modern AU its very possible they could end together, because things would be easier i guess. But their bond wont be as intense as it is on their own universe because well...here we dont have all those elements. In Narutoverse, SNS bond is very very very symbiotic and intense, and in different world i think it could be more fluffy and calm without that much suffering they had to go through in their own verse. About Sakura and Hinata, I think not. lol Their obsessions have nothing to do with the world they are in, so they will remain the same, and if they werent able to see SNS relationship in such an intense world as Ninjaverse is, i doubt they will in a modern one... For Naruto's goal, I dont know if president suits him? XD Because a president and hokage have to very different jobs besides the leadership part, i mean Hokage has to deal with danger and powers( i mean jutsus) a presidnt not. So i think he would like to be someone who just helps people, but yeah that could lead him to a political career i guess?

I feel like that if you would excel in a special area, ninjutsu for example or would be a good strategist, he might be impressed. But he would definitely need to spend a lot of time with you. You might have helped him with new techniques for which he acknowledged you.

🍜💙🌸You could say that this was somewhat the start of it all, Naruto and Sasuke both being in love with you. It made the relationship a bit more complicated to say the least, both often arguing when it came to you. A lot of snarky and mean comments from Sasuke, poking fun at Naruto and saying he wouldn’t be strong enough and Naruto throwing childish tantrums. Sakura, knowing that both of them liked you, was of course saddened due to her crush on Sasuke back then. But she also knew that you couldn’t do anything about it and felt almost sorry for you, these two were much to take after all.

🍜💙🌸It came to the final showdown between Sasuke and Naruto after he had decided to leave the village, wanting to get stronger and feeling hatred for Naruto because that guy had gotten so strong and monopolized your time. It led to a much more intense fight between those two, Sasuke more aggressive because of all the anger inside of him which led him to yelling at Naruto that one day he would get you and then you would be his. Naruto on the other hand got terrified when hearing this, not willing to let you anywhere near Orochimaru and Sasuke, who was clearly not thinking, which also led him to pushing harder.

🍜💙🌸He was scared when he had to leave you alone, but also knew that this was a necessary step to get stronger. He made Tsunade, Sakura, Kakashi and everyone of his friends promise that they would protect you. He knew Sasuke was lurking somewhere outside there, waiting for his chance.

🍜💙🌸It was during this time that Sakura fell for you, spending everyday with you that at one point Tsunade just decided to train both of you together since you were always there. She just realized that you had been there for her all the time, always supported her and acted as the shoulder to cry on when she had needed one. She felt conflicted about this, knowing that Naruto and you were an unofficial couple which led her to some mood swings. She was either on cloud nine or somewhere deep underground.

🍜💙🌸When Naruto came back, she informed him about what had happened. He was at first a bit more iffy about how to feel, but him and Sakura shared a great trust after all, leading to both of them agreeing to share whilst also wanting to safe their teammate. Sasuke on the other hand had spent years training with Orochimaru and that guy had somehow found out about his pupil’s little obsession with you, daring to sometimes ask him about you which led to Sasuke aggressively reacting. Even the thought of Orochimaru anywhere near you was disgusting.

🍜💙🌸After he went rogue, he had originally planned to take you after defeating Itachi. You could have been in the search troupe together with Naruto, Sakura and all the others. Tsunade and Kakashi were aware that Sasuke was after you, so they most likely either made you pair up with Naruto or Sakura at that time. If Sasuke found out or not depends on whether he sensed you or not. If he did, there’s a chance he really went after you, only to be interrupted by all the other people searching for him which was quite frustrating. You were so close and he still couldn’t grab you.

🍜💙🌸He didn’t know about Sakura yet, Tobi probably told him about it, using it as a manipulation to make him distrust the village even more and bring him to joining the Akatsuki. And that made Sasuke snap. As if it wouldn’t have been enough that this blonde moron had fallen for you, Sakura too?! Was that guy kidding him! And when he found out that those two were even sharing, he honestly was irritated. The concept of sharing the person you love wasn’t exactly well known to him.

🍜💙🌸It was most likely after the war that those three finally came to the terms of sharing with each other. Of course Sasuke needed a lot of time to get convinced. It was most likely Sakura and maybe even the darling who suggested it. Naruto wasn’t exactly all that happy with it. He was a jealous boy after all and he knew that Sasuke wasn’t exactly...the nicest person. He was dubious about this whole thing and the only reason why he was willing to give it a shot in the first place was because Sasuke was his friend. And as a worshipper he refused to let you get yelled at. And Sasuke was conflicted about this. Sharing really isn’t his strength and whilst he did saw them as his teammates again, he was still pretty selfish about you. He shouldn’t have to share you with someone else. But he knew too well that Sakura and Naruto wouldn’t let you go. Neither would he. He needed most likely help and comfort from the darling during this time so he would come to the terms of sharing.

🍜💙🌸It is truly a thing to witness in here. Because whilst Sakura and Naruto worked together so well because they share a lot of Yandere types and has the same point of view about how to treat and share you, not to mention the same trust, Sasuke isn’t like those two. He’s more of a bastard who can lash out easily when the wrong buttons are pushed and also yell at his darling for it.

🍜💙🌸It’s also worth mentioning that whilst Naruto and Sakura do see Sasuke as their friend and teammate and trust him, they always hoped for him to come back, when it comes to their darling, both of them are a bit more distrusting and more on edge. They know Sasuke’s mood swings and whilst he definitely is a bit more nicer to you, he can just as well spit out some hurtful words. And that’s definitely anything, but fine with Naruto and Sakura.

🍜💙🌸The dynamic between Naruto and Sasuke could be described as shaky. They are literally back to how they used to act to each other when they were younger. That means Sasuke mocking his friend whilst Naruto throws childish tantrums. But both of them changed after all so it can go from just acting like children and teasing and yelling at each other quickly to actually throwing hands over you. And in this case Sakura and the s/o will have to step in so they don’t try to kill each other again. And whilst Sakura definitely always tries to solve this peacefully, the moment she loses her temper too or notices that both of them scare you with their behavior, she definitely isn’t above punching them and yelling at them to stop their stupid behavior since they scare you with it.

🍜💙🌸The dynamic between Sakura and Sasuke might be a bit more awkward given the fact that Sakura used to have a crush on Sasuke and he knows that too. But at least those two are a bit more polite with each other, most likely because most of the times she knows not to push his buttons and tries in general to always talk with them if they have a problem with each other. If we go from cannon logic and assume that both of them should still develop romantic feelings for each other later on, this would of course change a few things. Sasuke would just have an easier time sharing with someone if he loved that person as well. It would still be pretty turbulent though.

🍜💙🌸Time has to be developed carefully because once again, the dynamic with Sakura and Naruto might be great, but Sasuke doesn’t add up to it. Sakura and Naruto are used to sharing their darling and definitely spend a lot of time with them together. Whilst Naruto does need a bit more time alone with their darling than Sakura does, they managed to schedule the time. But with Sasuke in the picture things changed quite a bit. Sasuke is more of a loner and since he’s possessive, he needs a lot more time with his darling in comparison to many others. Another thing is that he needs the calmness and Naruto and Sakura tend to be a bit too loud for his taste. Not only that, but all three of them together with their darling can lead to a quick argument between Naruto and Sasuke and that’s when it really gets noisy.

🍜Naruto would grow most likely more clingy due to constantly being teased and poked fun at by Sasuke. From the three he is definitely the one who would smother you more than Sasuke. He isn’t exactly happy with having to share with the black-haired boy since Sasuke goes sometimes a bit too harsh on you. There is also this old competition from his younger days between him and Sasuke which still influences the way those two act with each other. He’s also a bit more protective over you than he usually would be, not wanting you to endure any of Sasuke’s mood swings alone. If he should find out that you always get scared when him and Sasuke are in another shouting session which is about to reach it’s climax, he would feel totally horrible afterwards, apologizing whilst suffocating you in even more affection. He would try afterwards to prevent himself from getting angered too much by Sasuke for your sake which isn’t very easy.

💙Sasuke is somewhat the more unpleasant counterpart of Sakura and Naruto. He isn’t the nicest person and he knows that too. He tends to often get all pent-up due to constantly throwing fits with Naruto. It makes him a bit more trigger-happy and so it definitely happens once in a while that he has to let his frustrations out, sometimes even on you. He does feel bad afterwards since he understands that this isn’t completely your fault. It’s just hard for him to endure Sakura and Naruto, who are very overbearing to say the least. He needs time alone with you to connect properly and that is hard with the other two constantly around. He isn’t exactly all that willing to make things up with Naruto since he possesses a huge amount of Uchiha pride. Sakura would honestly have to drag him by the collar to apologize to you and to make both of them apologize to each other.

🌸Sakura is the voice of reasoning between those two. She’s honestly the only reason they didn’t lose their other arm as well. She’s more reasonable with everything and acts somewhat as a messenger between those two since their pride often keeps them from talking to each other like a grownup does. She often talks with both of them as polite as she can, figures out the problems and talks to the other one, listening to his problems and trying to make him help to understand the point of view from the other guy a bit better. She’ll also there to comfort you when you had to witness yet another fight between those two. Whilst she is someone who tries to solve things in a non-violent way, she tends to lose her temper too, grabbing both of them by their collars and shaking them whilst shouting at them to stop acting like complete idiots. Does anyone of those want to make you feel scared of them? Good grief.

🍜💙🌸This will never be a picture-perfect relationship, not with Sasuke in here. It will get overtime better though since Naruto and Sasuke will somewhat learn to co-exist next to each other and share with each other which will have you and Sakura let a sigh of relief out. The only thing they have to work on now is somehow helping Naruto and Sasuke to not get a bit too messy. Sakura is due to being a medic not that willing to kill unless something serious happened. Naruto possesses a few boundaries, but it is still too easy to set him off. And Sasuke definitely earns the first place. He’s paranoid, even more since he has to share his darling already and doesn’t want any other trailing after them.

🍜💙🌸It also makes him want to isolate his darling a bit more which is not okay with the other two. Sasuke isn’t really comfortable with with going outside with his darling, he is more on edge, especially when in public. He doesn’t have anything against a short walk outside in nature, but when he has to go under humans he tends to keep his darling closer to him. This isn’t that terrible of a case with Naruto and Sakura. They are just on the jealous side, but not that paranoid like Sasuke is. In short, there will always be things that will require long discussions and fights until for the time being a solution is found.

NARUTO BRAINROTTING ABOUT SASUKE

As you can see... Naruto is totally brainrotting about Sasuke here... This is after Sasuke retrieval arc. Am telling you, if any of my friend did something like Sasuke, I would've totally given up at this point. But Naruto is seen pining for Sasuke and depressed.

There's nothing special here. It could be totally friendly or brotherly.

But what follows is where the ambiguousness increased million fold.

Here Naruto says, “Jeez… And I was devising a plan for the two of go on a walk, almost like a date!”

First of all, Naruto never makes any plans…. He always approach anything what his heart leads him to…

Second of all, Nobody asked him what he was doing!!!!

Third off, He is lying !!!!

God!! He was totally brainrotting about Sasuke, just a moment ago and now he is lying about devising a date with Sakura….

I mean we all lie at some point about what we really feel because we don’t want others to know what’s going on in our mind. I did it many times too. But I never once misdirected my feelings to replace it with another feelings..

This behaviour is very similar to People constantly pining over their broken First Love, then they could never move on from it… then in order to divert this feeling they try to flirt/bond with someone else on whom they never really interested in.

My point is if Naruto really considered Sasuke as a Brother or a Friend, he never needed to lie. He could openly admit it that, “Just now, I was thinking about Sasuke… About how to save him… I have this idea…”. But lying makes it even more ambiguous and more evident that he loves Sasuke… But not in a brotherly way. Somehow, in his mind, he got this feeling that “He should not like a Boy, in ‘that way’”…. That’s why he was lying…

Or Kishimoto could’ve easily made this into another Bedroom Rant… Why specifically outdoors and spend a whole page to show that he was diverting his thoughts from Sasuke to Sakura…???

Now, you all can claim that Naruto lied because he didn’t want Sakura to worry over Sasuke’s safety… Well, if that’s the case,

He simply could’ve let Sakura ask the question, “What are you doing Naruto?”… And he could’ve answered, “It’s nothing…. What are you guys upto?”…. But here Naruto himself is bringing up a Dating topic… It’s very similar to rather than letting someone interrogating you like, “Are you lying to me?”….. You went one step ahead and voluntarily say, “I am not Lying” without the other person asking you the question…

If he needed to lie, he could spout something, else… Why lie about being interested in a girl when he was clearly interested in a Boy???

SAME FEELINGS, REVERSE SCRIPT

It’s technically not a Date… But this scene still qualifies under the Date….

So, here Naruto was seen having his lone moment with Sakura, that moment he always wanted. If I am with a person whom I have certain feelings for and if that person is taking care of me… Won’t I be flying back between Heaven and Earth??

Atleast this panel suggest something like that…

“I’ll be fine as long as you heal it… But this kind of makes me happy..”

And we all be like… Naruto is looking at her with a warm Gaze ….Oh!!! NaruSaku moment is gonna happen…. Now let’s turn over the next page and we find…

Pooof!!!!! He is bringing up Sasuke here!!!! ROFL

"It feels like we're getting closer to Sasuke, Together"....

In the previous scenario, Naruto was constantly thinking about Sasuke and in order to divert it, he started to flirt with Sakura. Now he had every opportunity to flirt with Sakura and he reverts back to Sasuke again....

Why Naruto is trying to avert his thoughts away from Sasuke and at the same time couldn't stop obsessing about him???

Very Ambiguous!!!!

AMBIGUOUS POSTURE

Kishimoto spent 4 panels to convey the same action... That is, Naruto holding Sasuke and crying for him... But it’s very ambiguous whether Naruto leans on Sasuke’s face or Sasuke’s chest..... But one thing for sure... Naruto really loved Sasuke eventhough he never showed openly until that point.

Whereas Sakura was also seen crying in a similar posture like Naruto... But it was just given only 1 panel... Tbh, Naruto’s panels were little more Ambiguous...

Why to give just 1 panel for a hetero pair... whereas emphasize Naruto’s gesture for 4 panels??? Oh, before anyone calling them as brothers....

This is how Brothers would hold each other and cry for them.. Naruto’s gesture was definitely neither ‘brotherly’ nor ‘friendly’.. Just saying....

WHAT’S REALLY HAPPENING???

Another ambiguous scene but this time, it’s from Sasuke, which made me shout “What’s really going on?” ....This scene always reminds me of Spiderman’s famous upside down kiss.

Am not saying he was going to kiss Naruto.... But there was no need for Sasuke to go that close to Naruto’s face either if he just consider him as friend. However, One thing is very evident.... Sasuke was just being honest with himself and he loves Naruto... That’s why he couldn’t kill him here.

So, yeah....

These are all the Ambiguous SNS moments and all of them are the outcomes of extremely repressed feelings they have for each other. Meaning, they really want to deny the thought of liking or be close to each other ... But in the long run, they couldn’t. In some way or form, those feelings just come out unconsciously....
