I haven't seen anyone talk about how Joel and Bdubs genuinely helped Pearl. Like, they knew what her task was. But they valued their alliance more than the reward they may have gotten for guessing correctly. And pearl was. So scared they'd guess seriously, like she was literally running away as Joel spoke his 'guess', and then turned around like 'oh'. She'd put so much into that alliance, but didn't expect them to reciprocate it. But they did. And I think that shocked her in a positive way.

note. i send snippets of wips and post something entirely different. oops. also this is extremely long compared to prior chapters (my favoritism is showing).

ayato dreads arranged marriages. even now, as the yashiro commissioner who understands the importance of forging political alliances, the thought of it is distasteful. presently, he has no person in his heart he'd rather marry, but that doesn't mean he finds the idea of pursuing a loveless relationship agreeable.

so when he first meets you, he's a little surprised. you're fidgety just like he is, but it isn't out of agitated worry; you look excited, can almost be described enthusiastic for the deal.

ridiculous, ayato thinks. you must be one of those shallow people easily wooed by appearances. he knows he's dashing, but he never liked anyone who's only drawn to that part of himself, and he doubts that will change in the future.

(still, as the marriage talk progresses between ayato and your parents, he finds himself distracted by the way you blow on your hot cup of tea, scrunching your nose when it burns your tongue. the moment you notice him staring however, you quickly switch gears and duck your head down in panic, reviewing etiquette lessons in your mind and trying to remember if blowing on your tea is a form of disrespect.)

ayato doesn't have the free time to afford frequent visits. most of the time, you're the one visiting the kamisato estate, often unable to see him and ayaka receives your presence instead. in the few chances you do catch him in a good time, conversations over tea and pastries are awkward and strained, made even worse by ayato's unwillingness to reply in a sentence longer than five words. he doesn't want you to get any closer to him, and perhaps you'll finally lose interest if he keeps up this charade.

(but sometimes, just sometimes, really, he'll gift you tea leaves he procured from foreign lands. they cost a hefty price, but he always puts a frown on your face, and if they bring back just a quick upturn of your lips, he'll consider it a successful apology.)

yet when you lose interest in him, he isn't very ecstatic.

he should be. you send less letters recently, and your visits to the estate even lesser. there's no attendant knocking on his door alerting him of your presence to interrupt his flow of work, and there's no guest he's obligated to entertain. most importantly, there's nobody he's obligated to marry.

(that doesn't stop him from worrying. doesn't make him feel any better. doesn't make him any less disappointed even when this result was what he was hoping for.)

eventually, rumors start to circulate. they say you're now besotted with a lord in the south, often spotted strolling around together and conversing over shared meals. they say you've fallen out of love for the yashiro commissioner you once begged your parents to let you marry, disillusioned by his stoic nature devoid of affection. they say you much rather prefer the romantic lord gifting you pretty robes and fragrant perfumes, finding comfort in his lavish sweetness opposed to ayato's cold indifference.

for that, he can't fault you at all. this... lord seems to court you properly. what rights does he have to be angry when he's done nothing to deserve your attention? besides, it's a win-win for everybody—ayato doesn't have to go through the arranged marriage he couldn't refuse due to your father's persistence, and you can be wed to a man who's genuinely fond of you, eager to treat you well.

still. still. these irrational thoughts keep plaguing his mind, ugly feelings blooming in his chest when images of you with another man settle in the corners of his subconscious. it's difficult to focus when you could be elsewhere locking hands with someone other than him, cheery laughter spilling from your lips as dappled sunlight makes you glow gold. you could be elsewhere wrapped in another man's embrace, protected from the chilly wind within his heat as he whispers sweet nothings to your ear. you could be...

you could be perfectly happy without him.

ayato hasn't spent much time with you, if at all. you didn't have any meaningful conversations, any beautiful memories you could look back on.

but that was because he didn't give you a chance to. he chose to disregard your existence, deliberately avoided reciprocating your efforts to connect. he didn't see you for who you were, he looked at you as the person he wanted you to be—someone vile, someone shallow, someone easy to despise.

and no matter how many rumors there are reporting how you supposedly begged your parents to establish an arranged marriage between you and ayato, he knew better: you should've been as miserable as he was about it. you never asked to get married either.

at first, he thought you already fell in love with him the first time you saw him; your eyes were sparkling with joy. but now that he thinks about it, perhaps you were just relieved you weren't about to get married to someone twice your age. he looked fairly decent, far from the horrific men you'd hear about disrespecting their spouses when they marry into the family. if it was him, known for his fair ruling in his territory, being married probably wouldn't be too bad.

and ayato had fantastically ruined that impression of himself by being the biggest dickwad possible.

so he hastily makes his move—he sends flowers to your doorstep, writes heartfelt letters referencing love poems. he still doesn't have the time to visit in person, but he gives you jewelry and hairpins he thinks would look good on you and hopes he can see you wearing them the next time you meet. he recalls every piece of information you've shared with him and gifts you books you expressed interest for in the few times you talked, presents you with tea leaves you once told him you wanted to try but haven't gotten an opportunity to due to its rarity.

ayato knows best how rumors tend to exaggerate the subject matter. surely, your relationship with the lord hasn't progressed too far. you've yet to call off the engagement, but ayato shouldn't be complacent either. he should make his intentions clear—he's not giving up on you.

after two weeks of this charade, you rush to the kamisato estate, red-faced and flustered and considerably confused. ayato smiles at the blue crystals adorning your bracelet, familiar with its design. (he picked it out himself, after all.)

“i apologize for my... absence,” you can't find the proper words to say it, gaze flitting from one place to another. you find it difficult to meet his eyes. no matter; ayato finds that shyness cute, too. “i was preoccupied– but!”

your formal tone disappears immediately as you hasten to say, “please don't listen to the rumors about me! i really, really haven't been seeing someone else!”

...???

“i'm very sorry for failing to include in my letters the details about the festival our territory celebrates.” at this, you bow deeply, thus missing the dumbfounded expression on his face, looking incredibly stupid. “in truth, i've been busy with preparations the past month... the lord i've been meeting with is known for the silks his household provides, and we commissioned him our clothes for the festival rites. he's very knowledgeable about perfumes as well, he gave me samples of- oh, i have some on me i thought ayaka might like! of course, i have some for you too, but i can't guarantee you'll like it...” you wince at that, smile turning sheepish. “i did try my best basing off your preferences, but i apologize if it isn't to your satisfaction.”

numbly, he gestures for a servant to accept the gift, fixing his expression into something more blank rather than an obvious display of his thoughts. his very, very messy thoughts, the few he can manage to think amidst the pure shock at the revelation. “i... i see. i appreciate the thought.”

you fidget at his robotic way of speaking, feeling awkward. “did you perhaps... believe the rumors?”

his heart breaks when your voice trails off at the end of your sentence, shrinking to yourself in shame. “absolutely not,” he says. you know, like a liar.

“then that's a relief!” your lips stretch to a relieved smile, punching another spike of guilt to his chest. “i feared you would think lowly of me.”

“ridiculous,” he states, tone unwavering. it takes you slightly aback, and warmth bleeds into his next words, coaxing a deeper red to tint your ears, “i like you a lot more than you think.”

oh, you have no idea.

it doesn't take a detective to know you have a massive crush on heizou.

the way you can't meet his gaze, the flush high on your cheeks, the nervous stutter in your words when you invite him for a stroll around town; heizou would have to be an idiot not to notice. unfortunately for you, he is far from one, so he notices every stare you pin to his figure, every quiver of your lips as you fight back a smile when he looks back, every sign of your elation as he makes his presence known.

and, well. maybe it is a little amusing to watch you squirm. heizou doesn't consider himself a cruel man, but he'd be lying if he said he doesn't enjoy seeing you worked up because of him.

he wonders what you find so charming. pursuing romance has never been a high priority for him, flaunting his appealing traits to potential partners lesser so, and as honorable chasing after criminals can be, he doesn't think anyone would find that attractive in the romantic sense.

more often than not, he's told to be too dedicated in his job, which he would normally take as a compliment, thank you very much, but he does see how it could be a flaw as a spouse. it's pretty much general knowledge he can't guarantee his undivided attention for anyone, even his special person (that he's not very eager to find right now).

once, you commented as such, teasing him he won't be able to get a significant other at this rate. jokes on you—from what heizou can see, you're a willing volunteer now.

before, though, was entirely different. in fact, you couldn't even call yourselves friends until just recently. your interactions were hardly noteworthy, simply exchanging cordial greetings when you ran into each other on the road or sharing the briefest conversations if the situation called for it.

you only became proper friends when you got involved in one of heizou's cases and helped him through it. turns out you were extremely compatible all along, to the extent heizou regretted not befriending you earlier. you're bubbly and cheerful, always making him laugh when you crack the most unexpected of jokes. even in companionable silence, he felt a little brighter and optimistic—you were like a positive ball of sunshine, a great pal to have.

so he received the shock of a lifetime when he first began to notice signs of your budding crush.

your easy-going smiles looked tighter, eyes not quite focused on his face, hands fidgeting behind your back. at the start, heizou thought maybe you did something wrong, or you were hiding something from him...

then you were blushing, asking him if he was free after work. heizou is ashamed to admit his brain had gone completely blank that time, truly empty with the exception of your face flashing in his mind, holy fuck, you're blushing, you've never done that before.

he doesn't remember his response. still can't, even now. but what he does remember is how your face lit up when he said something, eyes sparkly with enthusiasm. you talked about some trendy restaurant that just opened around the block but heizou could hardly hear your explanation over the sound of his heart hammering in his chest. the new revelation had his blood rushing, and he really, really didn't know what to think of you.

weeks later, he finds you cute.

the initial panic wore off and now he enjoys seeing you flail around. you're cute when you're clumsy, tripping over air when you make eye contact with him. you're cute when you get embarrassed, woken up by heizou when you accidentally fall asleep on his shoulder. you're cute when you're shy, stammering as you offer to walk home together.

you're cute, and heizou has to do something about that soon.

not once has he thought to distance himself from you upon realizing your feelings. sure, it felt awkward at the beginning, but if there was something he was certain of, it was that he didn't want to lose you. now, he wanted to be closer than ever, the closest he's ever been to another person.

apparently, you didn't get the memo because you're the one distancing yourself from him.

it's not hard to guess what you're thinking. you're probably getting worried you're being too obvious about your feelings, missing all the blatant signs that point to heizou feeling the same, and feeling the very delayed horror of being rejected.

no, seriously. it's very delayed. you're supposed to be scared first before you think of hitting on someone. all of your concerns are void anyway; heizou has known about your crush ages ago.

you're surprisingly good at hiding. heizou has been missing you by a hair, all of his acquaintances claiming to see you some time around the day conveniently when he isn't present. there are traces of you everywhere, trails from your favorite snack stall to the bookstore you frequent to the flower fields you help take care of, but he could never catch you on time. his frustration is nearly overriding his rationality, even though he knows for a fact putting up wanted posters of your face would be a bad, bad idea.

fine, he thinks. i'll lure you out myself.

and that, he does.

one of the few things he first learned about you is your curiosity; when a mystery piques your interest, you won't rest easy until it's solved. that's why you began to follow him around, watching him dig through secrets and piece together deductions. you have a fascination with the unknown, and heizou knows best how to take advantage of it.

he leaves bait, a simple riddle scrawled on a sticky note posted on your office desk to make you scratch your head. when you take it too lightly and ignore it, he steals your prized hairpin—a birthday gift he gave you a year ago—as a warning. in panic, you provide a correct answer, and the very next day, the hairpin is back on your table, together with a brand new barrette considerably nicer in quality.

the next mysteries continue in a similar pattern; a reward for the right answer, a punishment for the wrong one. he makes you solve puzzles, decipher secret code, unravel riddles—each time, you complain about the work and your determination not to seek out heizou for help chips away, but you've never showed any indication of conceding defeat. you're determined to find the “thief” who's always threatening to rob your possessions if you don't play along his silly games and confront him once and for all.

finally, heizou is finished preparing his greatest puzzle yet—a grand treasure hunt encompassing the entire town. it's a big project involving a large number of people, some of which have probably caught onto his intentions, but heizou wills away his embarrassment; if he lets his shame get to him, then nothing will change.

he's had enough of playing hide and seek.

and as your hand grips the final letter, eyes sweeping over the provocative message, the clock ticks closer to the grand finale—

“i have one last trick; don't worry, if you're lucky, it'll end quick.

beneath the stars, find the treasure by nine. if you fail to catch the prize, i will take back what is mine.”

(a worthless threat—how could he take back his heart that's always been yours?)

My hopes for S2 of the total drama reboot:

More Axel screentime! Honestly, I felt like Ripper really should have got voted out that ep because he was less useful to the team and the nerds were already annoyed by him. It felt like they booted her just because she's like Eva in the episode where they voted off Eva.

Julia keeps the bun the entire season

Maybe I'm getting my hopes up, but Priya x Millie? You can have it be one-sided if you want to make Priya x Damien canon. But they had just as much, if not more romantic tension then the canonically queer couple! (not a bad thing, I love Rajbow too!)

Speaking of Rajbow, I DON'T want season two to introduce artificial drama between them. I don't think it would make sense from a character driven perspective, because Bowie knows how to play the game too well for that. I think that in season two, its likely he'd put his relationship on hold to better persue the million.

Emma Villain arc, but like in a sympathetic way. She really wants to win the million and prolonged Chase exposure might cloud her judgement on what she will do to get it.

Nichelle and Julia alliance. Or just any interaction between them. Please. I need to know how she'll react to Julia's true colors.

Speaking of Julia, I want to see her come back next season with a new fake personality. Maybe have her be a fake gamer girl idk. Nobodies buying it.

For Priya and Millie, I want to see them both working on a book TOGETHER next season. Maybe a total drama survival guide?

Less fart jokes from Ripper. More of a personality that does not revolve around fart jokes from Ripper.

MK learns from her mistakes and gets farther in the next season. I want her to pull a Noah.

In between seasons, Damien watches Total Drama and becomes a fan. Maybe he and Priya geek out about it?

Either vote Caleb off first again, or give him something distinct from Justin and Alejandro. This is silly, but the first thing I thought of is that he dislikes his looks because its hard to make genuine connections with other people when all everyone wants to do is get in his pants.

More humor based around Zee being an amputee. As a physically disabled person, I thought it was hilarious and handled respectfully.

initial thoughts on DCAS episode 7

very notable that this was within the context of being about "love" specifically. (at least) one-sided trevek canon? (i'm not even a huge trevek shipper i just think this whole plotline is funny)

okay, so Yul's foot injury IS real. or at least, he's using it as an excuse to complain. still, the fact that it was brought up again an episode later makes me think that it's going to have SOME relevance to the plot.

any time that Yul has to parrot something in Emily's "you go girlfriend ;D" manner of speaking i cackle. he didn't choose the home decor saying any time is wine time lifestyle, the home decor saying any time is wine time lifestyle chose him.

Grett i am... genuinely confused. how can you possibly think that Yul is actually in love with you? did you really receive THAT little love in your home life? you have no ability to distinguish catty and fake praise for your accomplishments from real ones because your family gave you THAT little recognition? man. now i made myself sad :( ily Grett

again, why? it's probably already apparent from my earlier comments, but i changed my mind; i'm fully with Jake in this argument now. sure, Jake is really insecure and overly emotional, but what the HELL is Tom doing? making up a boyfriend is a really shitty thing to do, whether Tom had a legit reason for not calling Jake these past two years or if he didn't contact Jake due to his own mixed feelings/indifference. in either case, he should have told Jake the truth. at least when Jake was acting immature in S1, he was 24. Tom is a nearly 30 year old man. ACT LIKE IT.

Fiore slay

this is a really interesting response due to how vague it is, including in the vocal performance. was he taken off guard by his boss being nice to him? does he believe that she's telling the truth? does he feel bad for Trevor, or will he come to believe that he IS way better than Trevor? i'm glad that they're continuing on with the concept of the hosts having a plotline, because imo that was one of the highlights of S2, but they aren't doing it in a way that eats up as much of the screentime as it did in S2.

if Will was out of the picture i would be shipping these two so hard. who am I kidding, i kind of still am anyways.

the confirmation that Aiden thinks that the idea of him having any attraction to Tom is laughable and disgusting is HILARIOUS to me. bro really said, "why the hell would i be into YOU when i have JAMES lmao" straight to Tom's face. tbf, James and Tom are like... opposites in terms of personality and appearance (beyond being generally handsome and athletic young men).

honestly, Alec and Riya's villainous alliance/friendship is really fun. leave it to Alec to always find himself in the least likely but most entertaining duos. Riya really benefits from being paired with a legitimate strategist, and someone who won't just let her totally get away with stuff.

we had to get in one last Fiore taking unnecessary damage for the road :,(

feeling like Jaiden is going to be winning the starting couples' survival roulette. and Wishley, to the extent they count.

now i'm no physicist, but how did this work? shouldn't the ball be a fast and heavy enough object at this point that it would jump over the log, not ricochet off of it? i suppose if the ball is made of something more like wicker than yarn, it could be a bit more likely to do that. but then why is it going to the side? it hit the log straight on!

... are you not allowed to help him anymore? what?

ellie is going full villain mode fr. if her and gabby's relationship gets messed up, that would definitely be karma. but, i suppose she survives this episode...

this is funny because nobody strikes me as the pizza and soda loving type. Alec, Grett, Yul, and Riya all seem like people who would want to eat something that's both fancier and healthier.

Fiore is such a best girl that she's not even a salty juror. she's not mad at them for so long that she can't use her final moments to throw a wrench in the works for everyone else. the grind never sleeps, clowns <3

and she even conquered her greatest nemesis, the bus, this time. fly high, queen. i'll miss you.

well, as a Fiore stan, this episode was a bit sad for me. but, i do totally understand why Magenta would both vote for Fiore and lose the challenge. (damn you, Ellie...) Fiore already did super well in both S1 and the original Adventure Camp, so i understand why they wouldn't have her go super far again in this season, especially when everyone knows she's such a threat.

i just hope that we can still get a little more closure for her and Alec than we got already in this season. all it has to be is, like, him being sad at her elimination for reasons other than pure strategy and maybe a nice conversation at the finale. it doesn't have to be Alec finally adopting her... even if i did want that to happen... i'd just prefer to know that they leave things on good terms.

Marinette's memories after the wish

A detail from the end of "Re-creation" that just isnt letting me go is that Marinette still calls Monarque, well, MONARQUE towards Su-Han and Alya:

Even though she has very clearly told them where she was as we can gather by her pointing out the double wedding ring (meaning Su-Han and Alya could also know that Adrien is a Sentihuman which... *sigh*...) and having searched the basement:

Meaning she was open with them about the fight having taken place in the Agreste mansion and that Gabriel was involved and yet Marinette is weirdly still calling Gabriel Monarque here.

That is such a loaded detail. It could legit be a whole game-changer about Marinette "keeping" Gabriel's secret because it could straight up mean that Gabriel's wish changed both Adrien's AND Marinette's memories of him.

For all Marinette's words directly imply here she lost here memory of having figured out that Gabriel is Monarque and she thinks of them as two seperate men again. The most likely explaination here would be that Marinette may remember Monarque having crumbled into dust before he could win through Chat Noir's cataclysm from "Destruction"

But still remembers Gabriel Agreste having made the wish in desperation since, honestly, the given circumstances were PERFECT for that.

All the wish had to do is put in to Marinette's head that Gabriel and Tomoe were direct victims of Monarque as for a long time and they had to work with him, or agreed to, to keep their loved ones and lives safe. Gabriel in this case would have been the main victim which the finale pretty much perfectly set up for everyone to believe:

All Marinette has to think is that whatever happened to Emilie Agreste was Monarque's fault and he was pressuring Gabriel into helping him by threatening to do the same with Adrien, which was likely then instead done to Nathalie when she found out about it.

But Adrien would have still remained leverage nr. 1 against Gabriel as his son and same goes for Kagami for Tomoe:

This would be the perfect cover story for why Gabriel and Tomoe created the Alliance rings since parents will do alot to keep their children save and it can even be twisted into "explaining" the way Adrien and Kagami were treated by their parents if it happened under Hawkmoth's direct wrath and threat.

Gabriel himself is not only the only adult member of the Resistance he is also said to have been the person who then filled in Chat Noir's place when Ladybug was partnerless against Monarque when the final battle went down in his home where Emilie was kept to maybe be able to save her life?

This you can genuinely twist into Gabriel then not having been able to live with so much regret for what his involvement has caused that he sacrificed himself by making a wish, which Marinette now would still be remembering like this:

The chain of effect for how suddenly everyone who seperated themselves from Gabriel by now would think of him and Tomoe (Andre for example in "Collusion") would go on and on and ON washing Gabriel's and Tomoe's hands clean while Tomoe continues, who I have no doubt would have kept her memories all together.

I also would say that Lila and Nathalie still have their memories but I also gotta be honest, thats a whole can of worms I have to properly think through. My main point here is Marinette still calling Monarque "Monarque" despite what went down and what she told Su-Han and Alya and the possible implications of that concidering how well the rest of the finale sets up the cover story of Gabriel and Tomoe having been used by Hawkmoth all along by using Adrien and Kagami as leverage against them.

It just works too well and it would fit with how Adrien suddenly had a ALARMING perspective change regarding his father after the wish, which, NO, isnt god damn normal as trauma response jfc.

This would mean that Adrien and Marinette would go through season 6 in the new reality possibly figuring out bit by bit that their memories arent right to get an easier exporation phase for the new reality, and then season 7 has them know again what we left of in the old one.

Or Marinette is straight up lying to everyone now, even to Su-Han and Alya. Who knows at this point? But I truly hope that's not something they will put on Marinette's character even if at this point I wouldnt exactly call it out of character either.

The concept of only winners remembering the life series is absolutely heartbreaking with Scott and Pearl. They both won, but the other can't remember their partners win. Scott goes back to empires after his win. Pearl doesn't remember their alliance, here she's not his friend and trusted ally, just the farmer queen. He can't even tell her that he placed the last axolotl down safely, or that he avenged her death. He feels a part of him die when Pearl withers away. When Double Life starts he can't believe he's soulmates with her. The universe has stuck them together once again. But it hurts, it hurts that she didn't look for her soulmate, didnt look for him. He knows she doesn't remember but it still hurts. And then he leaves her, leaves her out of anger. Anger that she can't remember what they had with Cleo in last life. It's him and Cleo, against the world, but without Pearl this time. Just Gatekeep and Gaslight without Girlboss. His anger starts to be directed at Pearl herself (rather than he memory loss) when she starts hurting them on purpose. Scott's annoyed with her almost every time she shows up at him and Cleo's base. The alliance they had against the reds was begrudging on Scotts side. He can't quite fathom how they went from friends to acting like bitter jealous exes. He blows himself up, genuinely thinking Pearl deserves the win, after all she did for him last season. He doesn't want to remember a world where he hates Pearl anyways. This gets worse if you combine this concept with soulmates sharing emotions. Pearl can tell his anger is different, she can feel it, but she doesn't know why. She can't understand what else he could be mad about other than her "leaving him first." And then she wins. Something clicks in her head, that oh Scott must've won before. We must've been friends before. Oh god what have i done. Pearl is back to being a god on Empires after Double life. She sees Scott but can't talk to him. She can't say she's sorry for ruining their soul bond, for running off to the nether with Martyn the episode one, for the powered snow, for killing Cleo, for everything. He wouldn't even understand what she's sorry for. On Hermitcraft she has to see the people she killed. Bdubs is right there, alive and okay, and all she can think of is how she murdered him and Impulse in cold blood. How they killed her beloved Tilly, and how Cleo fell out of that tree trying to escape her. She understands what Scott felt, his anger towards her during Double Life, what he's been feeling, and what he'll keep feeling. She only hopes and prays that no one else has to go through this.... (Grian is. Grian is right there, has been right there in the same server suffering.)

Never Have I Ever

AN: much longer than usual but hopefully everyone enjoys it as much as I did writing it.

You arent completely sure what drew you to Dominik Mysterio but you've pondered it for hours. Maybe it was his previous innocence, like a part of you wanted to ruin him for everyone else: to bring out a different side of him. Unfortanlety Rhea beat you to the jump, on the upside you and Rhea are great friends. She even asked you to join the Judgment Day but you politely declined wanting to take your career further solo.

Rhea didnt get upset she just wished you luck and you went about your way until you both ironically began to notice Dominik Mysterio's non stop tag team matches with his father. Dominik has never truly been separated from him family... he's never been solo. So Rhea recruited him... she wanted to ruin him just as much as you did. Dominik completed his heel turn and he is out of jail and is ready to wrestle to rack up a few wins. During his match you wanted to join in on the fun at ringside with Rhea.

Rhea circles the ring coaching Dominik through defeating his opponent, you stretch before walking down the walkway your music blasting bringing everyone's attention to you. You grin feeling the surreal moment take over your senses, Rhea grins back; you point at her in recognition. Everyone can see how genuine this friendship is... you jog down to Rhea jumping in excitement to see this heel turn full view. You waste no time getting involved in the match; banging on the side of the ring also helping Dominik through his match.

Dominik shows his clear confusion when you start instructing him and he looks to Rhea for confirmation. Rhea nods at him and hypes up the crowd for him the best she can. While they are wrestling and taking hits you walk over to Rhea with the feeling of want in your chest; it's almost unexplainable. You whisper to Rhea discretely while you both are still watching the match, "I call dibs". Rhea's grin breaks out again and she pushes the hair out of her face... she nods at you agreeing with what you said. The commenters notice the interaction and spew out a few things they think you could've said.

Your smile just gets wider hearing all their incorrect theories when truly it's much deeper than just a simple alliance. After a little more coaching Dominik manages his first solo pin, he holds his opponent's leg over his own head and the ref is on two. You lean over the ring as much as you can in order to make eye contact with Dominik; you bring your hand to your mouth and you blow him a kiss. Dominik's eyes widen cartoon-like and the ref smacks the floor one more time. Dominik flies up and celebrates to himself for a moment before the ref comes and holds his arm up showing his victory as valid.

You want to seduce Dominik slowly so you sneak away through the crowd wanting to make your presence a mystery. God did you succeed, Dominik asks Rhea about you when they get backstage. "Is she your friend?" he questions not making eye contact with Rhea; slightly embarrassed that he is interested. Rhea nods humming confirming the truth; "Yea, she's hot isn't she?". Rhea asks him raising her eyebrows teasingly watching his face heat up and he rubs his hands on his pants in embarrassment. He just nods and keeps walking listening to Rhea laugh to herself at his timidness.

You wait a few more days before you make a presence; you wanted Dominik to think about you while you were gone. He looked for you every match, he has waiting for you to coach him... to blow him a kiss again. Still nothing though, he cant help his partial disappointment that you arent there... he just feels drawn to you.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Judgment Day walks out as a group but its Dominiks match, they all act tough walking down and the group scans the area. No one realizes you are there until your arm snakes around Dominik's shoulders. You picked one of your favorite outfits; its grunge much like Rheas but a dark ruby red that defines your curves. Dominik stills only for a moment looking to his side to see who joined them, and his heart stilled seeing that it was you. You continue walking with him in tow; you turn to look at him too. You make a point to show that you want him, you lick your bottom lip while eyeing him up and down still moving towards the ring.

Dominik cant look away but when you turn away from him to look at the crowd and the way everyone is walking. The closer you get to the ring the more your arm goes slack and slips off his shoulder. You don't pay Dominik any more mind; wanting to tease him. You stand next to Rhea like you always do and you go through the same routine watching Dominik compete. He can't win every match though. Dominiks gets pinned and the Judgment Day groans in displeasure almost all at the same time. Dominik stays on the floor of the ring holding his side panting in pain. Rhea climbs in the ring pulling him out quickly holding him up fairly easily.

Rhea looks at you then at Dominik signaling for you to come and "help" her. You grin at her wildly knowing she will always be helpful to your plans. You slip Dominiks other arm over your shoulder aiding him in walking similar to Rhea. Dominik is frustrated with himself and he whispers his displeasure to where only Rhea and you can hear, "This is fucking embrasssing". You look at Dominik seeing his short lived anger pent up, "Want to see embarrassing?" you whisper to him looking at him with intensity.

Dominik masks his flushed look by laughing to himself, he shakes his head no answering your question. You smile at him nodding before making it backstage and letting him sit on the couch in the lounge room. You sit down beside him only a inch apart, your legs almost touching but not quite there yet. What you are making Dominik feel makes his brain crave answers, why did you seek him out?

Dominik clear his throat situating himself on the couch better, his manspreading is definitely a weakness of yours. Dominik turns his head to look at you before asking the question that has been prodding at him, "How come your at every match of mine?". Dominiks eyes look you over and then land on your lips for a moment waiting on you to answer him. When you start talking his eyes find yours, "I like watching you rebel" you say in confidence. Dominik visibly swallows, his eyes move from your eyes to your lips much too often for platonic conversation. When he doesn't answer you shuffle closer to him, your face moving towards him, "That okay with you?". Dominik stops breathing for a moment constricted by the beauty in front of him.

When he realizes he hasn't answered he stutters out a short reply nodding to put emphasis on his answer, "Yea, uh yea that's okay". You move your face away from him taking away the proximity, you smile at him sweetly feeling your own chest fill with happiness that he finds interest in you too. You move another inch away from him smiling to yourself before indulging in conversation with your best friend Rhea.

More days pass and you and Dominik only stealing glances at each other not muttering many words. Now it's time for The Judgement Day to support Rhea during her match. Once again you are at ringside but this time Dominik is accompanying you cheering his friend on. You both mainly hype Rhea up, she doesn't need coaching, after all she is holding a title right now. Rhea doesn't waste much time putting the match to an end, it's another easy win for her. She stands in the middle of the ring holding her belt high above her head with her tongue out. The crowd roars and you yell and smack the ring, your own way of showing your support. You all once again make it backstage but this time everyone needs an excuse to celebrate, it's a Saturday! 

 You invite everyone to your own home to celebrate; its a large home and it has plenty of liquor and weed for anyone that wants to indulge. Everyone drinks expect for you, you'd rather smoke than feel the burn of alcohol and the hangover in the morning. But you enjoy yourself regardless; everyone is happy to have a day to feel like teenagers again. You enhance that feeling by playing a drinking game, granted your high as hell but nothing can beat a night like this. Everyone sits in a circle on the floor after Rhea proposed a game of never have I ever. You take a few more drags of your blunt so no matter what everyone is wasted tonight. 

The glass Ale8 bottle spins quickly halting to a stop and landing on Damian. Damian starts off with something light, “Never have I ever kissed another wrestler” Everyone giggles a bit because Damian drinks himself. Finn and Rhea also sip their drink. Damian spins the bottle and the group goes silent waiting for the bottle to halt to a stop… the bottle spins a little longer and it slows down close to Finn. Then it finally lands on you; your smile brightens and Rhea leans forward in excitement because you never fail to say something interesting.

You look at Rhea with a smirk and its almost like she can read your mind because she nods with a smile of her own glancing at Dominik for a moment. “Never have I ever wanted to kiss someone in this group”, you grab your half-smoked blunt to your lips just to light it again and take a drag. You make eye contact with Dominik watching him bring his own glass to his lips to take a sip, Damian and Finn start shoving each other and asking each other if they have just seen what happened. 

Dominik looks up at you from his glass smiling into it similar to the way you are gazing at him. The game continues for a little longer everyone laughing in joy and feeling at peace with their friends. You stand up from the floor stretching out your limbs, “You guys feel free to stay, I have plenty of room’s for you guys to crash in” you announce, not forgetting to wink at Dominik to tease. The liquor must've enhanced Dominik’s confident side, usually, it takes him a while to be open with someone, “I think I'm going to stay guys. I drank way too much” he said to the group but his eyes are only on you. You feel the blush rising to your cheeks, you are flustered by the fact he is going to be staying in your home. 

Everyone else claimed they had to get home and that they would take a cab; you double-check with them and make sure they are sure about it. They all wave you off and call a cab, Dominik gets up off the floor to sit on the couch. He’s manspreading sipping on his drink still waiting for everyone to exit the house. When the door closes he sets his drink down on the side table before looking at the spot beside him with a smirk. You sit down beside him with a sigh wiggling to situate yourself, Dominiks gaze doesn't leave your body. You think for a moment that you will have to make the first move but Dominik surprises you when he sexily says, “Never have I ever wanted to kiss someone sitting right beside me”. He reaches to the side table and takes another sip of his drink…the eye contact is captivating and the tension is even heavier. 

You reach for his drink taking it into your own hands and bringing it to your lips, you lean over Dominik to place the drink back on the side table. You raise your eyebrows at him in question of what he will do next. His body gravitates towards you and your breath picks up much like his own. You feel him exhale against your lips, his smooth hand holds the side of your face, and your eyes fall shut. Like a dream, his lips connect to yours soft and needy. You feel his lips press harder against yours and you reciprocate the feeling, pulling away with a smack you open your eyes. Dominik's eyes open but his mouth is still following yours, you giggle at the sight but lean in again to connect your lips once more. 

Dominiks other hand holds the other side of your face just as softly and the kiss feels even more electric now that both of his hands are on you. You scoot your body closer to him because that's all you need from him…that much needed closeness. Your lungs begin to burn so you pull away with quick breaths. You lay your forehead on Dominiks giggling hearing how his breath is mimicking yours. Dominik laughs with you before pulling back and taking in every detail of your face, his hands still glued onto you. “Want to play never have I ever again?” he asks with his lips swollen and begging. You giggle again but nod in his hands, “Yea let's play never have I ever”.

But R27 is so good??? Their friendship is immaculate and watching them interact is so fun. They both care for each other so deeply. I'm thinking about the Daemon vs Tsuna battle, where Tsuna was so gravely losing. And you see Reborn clenching his fist, absolutely vicious and fuming ready to stop in before Vindice stops him. He is even more agitated when he's stopped. And rainbow arc? Do not GET ME STARTED (I'm getting started) Reborn doesn't care about his own curse?? At all?? Hes just doing it for Tsuna, allowing him the practice of managing a team and bringing together alliances. There's a scene in it where Tsuna is upset about losing to Iemitsu, but he won't open up about it/trying to hide it. And reborn is just "I can see right through you, tell me what's going on don't pretend." And that's so??? HNG??? and there's so many moments?? Reborn telling Tsuna not to worry about his boss watch? Tsuna finishing that battle and seeing that the boss watch is fine and telling reborn they're still in bc he's genuinely fighting his hardest to break Reborns curse?? R27 enjoyers, we gotta discuss what we think about TYL Tsuna having to deal with Reborns death. Bc TYL Reborn in future arc is GONE GONE. NOT FAKING HIS DEATH. And that's so??? How is TYL Tsuna doing? Is he okay? I'm convinced that's why TYL Tsuna's actions are so.. intense? this is very much an au. like very much. and also. very long.

so ezra and thrawn are stranded for about a year, and they’re not just in one place, they move from planet to planet trying to get to the ascendancy. you’ve probably read it many times, they become unlikely allies and then maybe perhaps friends. ezra also finds a kyber crystal, but doesn’t build the lightsaber since something is telling him not to. either they get to the ascendancy or it gets to them but that’s where they end up for the next five years. during their year thrawn taught ezra cheunh and very much how to be a strategist and tactician. thrawn wanted them to get along, but didn’t expect such close camaraderie to come out of it. girl let’s face it, if there’s one thing ezra can do it’s make friends. and ezra was also not the only one learning here, thrawn definitely loosens up and starts understanding the rebellion and how they had so much heart. and ezra brings out something (fatherly tendencies) in thrawn, and thrawn learns to let his guard down, at least around ezra. the alliance was formed before the genuine trust was, but once they get to the ascendancy the trust is definitely there. they make a goooood team. thrawn plans and ezra carries out, improvising on the way (ar’alani and eli hate this and thrawn pretends to).

ezra stays to help the chiss with the grysks, and also to see what’s up with the navigators. it takes a while before he can spend any time with them, but the constant risking his life against the grysks does help build trust with ar’alani. on one of his missions he finds another kyber crystal and this time he does build the lightsaber, and it’s like mauls but can also break apart into two. (if you think this is over powered maybe consider that i love him and he deserves it). he pretty quickly forms a bond with one of them (the one in the art, she’s unnamed if u have any ideas tell me) and she’s not his padawan by any means, but he does train her.

anyway five years pass and he sees his work there is done, and leaves (his new home) the ascendancy with his not-padawan. he’s ecstatic to go back home, but there’s also this great fear that he won’t be needed anymore. everyone’s excited to see him and asks him about where he’s been, but he never quite tells the truth. he thinks they won’t trust him if they learn he’s been out working with one of the rebellions greatest enemies for years. and let’s face it, some rebels probably won’t trust him, so he keeps a tight lid on what happened. he’s better at hiding things now, but sometimes he’ll look up over his shoulder for advice or approval and be met with nothing, and he can never quite hide his disappointment. there’s no one he can share his sadness with either, how do you tell someone you miss (your weird uncle) your old greatest enemy (your older brother), when they’ll never really understand it. the only person who understands is his not-padawan, and you can’t really rant to a 9 year old. what people notice more, though, is how much he’s changed. he’s more serious. stands up straight during meetings, giving input that no one else would have thought of, saving the rebellion on multiple occasions. and it’s not that thrawn made him smart, he was always been smart. but he used to rely on being underestimated. and the chiss don’t appreciate that, they appreciate strength. he had to be more upfront about his strength and intelligence over there, and it carries back to the alliance. he’s sharp, wins arguments and changes minds, and hera can’t be more proud of her kid but also can’t be more confused at where he learned that. he tells her, more than others, but he leaves out the times thrawn would carry him back from fights he shouldn’t have picked, and they way he taught him how to win them next time. they also don’t get how he’s become fluent in two more languages in six years, the one he talks to that girl in and the one he curses in (sy bisti, learned it to listen in on thrawn and eli and it became one of his biggest regrets). he knows he’s back where he belongs, but it’s hard, especially when there’s some other jedi around now. he does not exactly get along with luke. luke luke is very much in awe of him, he’s always heard of this other jedi who made a great sacrifice, and just wanted to meet him. ezra knows he’s really not what luke expects, he’s not a perfect jedi at all, he’s a grey one. he tries not to be around luke so he doesn’t disappoint him, but helps him train when asked. his fighting style has also changed, become less of a lightsaber form and more of a mix of everything that influences him. the chiss techniques always get him a win, no one has a clue what he’s doing when he pulls them out. he’s also not what jacen expected either, but it a much different way. ezra’s been working with kids for five years, and jacen was not expecting an expert older brother. that’s all i’ve really got, feel free to do what ever with this, just tell me cuz i wanna see.

oh also they have great healthcare on ar’alani’s ship and that’s where ezra got his top surgery

I don't disagree with the mystery angle, but as a hypothetical (because I can't deicide which I like better), what do you think of having the mystery as is in show (ie. we know who, don't know what), then building that into who can be trusted? Like, going into mistral and atlas, yes we know who the big bads are now, but who are the pawns this time? Is that person just scared and caged because of Beacon, or because they're working for Salem? Having the audience losing trust alongside the mains

i think this was pretty much what they did with in V7. iirc the writers said the volume's theme would be "trust", which got the audience suspecting just about, well. any one of the new characters we were introduced to, and even some of the old ones; i vividly remember one of the big things after 7.2 being whether ironwood hugging qrow was genuine or if he did that to place a tiny microphone or something like that on his cape lol

and ya know, it was fun time! every new character could have been a double agent, or somehow compromised—watts is in mantle with near full control of its systems, who's to say he couldn't be listening in and scouring through video footage to find something, anything to help with their task?—so who do you trust?

of course, that lack of trust became the main issue between the Good Guys™, there were no surprises in terms of characters working for salem, but still, it worked well, and it kept people on their toes.

in contrast, they gave lionheart working for salem pretty much immediately, which is like. 50/50 for me because on one hand, building up those trust issues, not just in the characters but for the audience as well, already from the mistral arc would have been great... but there were no other characters to suspect besides lionheart, so the difference is hardly there.

but yeah, the "who is working for salem and who is not?" is absolutely an angle i've been thinking about a lot lately; mostly in a sense whether it would work or not if salem—and thus the rest of her followers—would not have been revealed when they were; that if emerald's illusion had been the first time the audience "sees" salem, where most of the information we get of her is from what other characters say about her, then the lost fable, and only then we see salem in present day during 'so that's how it is'. that way tyrian, hazel, and watts would be brand new characters with yet unknown alliances, with some revealing their standing earlier like tyrian, while for watts and hazel it would take a little bit more time.

like, taking watts as an example: he's just some guy who spends time with lionheart. maybe he passes by team rnjr at some point, has a short interaction with them, all cordial and so, because they'd be less likely to recognize him as someone who's supposed to be, ya know. dead. the main point is, everything seems normal about him; there's really no reason to suspect him as someone working for this salem everyone is talking about... and then he shows up with cinder at the branwen tribe's camp and uh-oh, who can you really trust? how deep does salem's network of followers actually go?

of course, these are choices were you win some, you lose some. it all comes down to what you want to focus on; keep salem and her followers hidden for a little bit longer, and you potentially lose the time spend building salem and cinder's dynamic—though this could be changed by simply not revealing salem's other followers while keeping the scenes with just salem and cinder around—but gain the extra layer of mystery and the build-up to "who can you actually trust?"

...rambling aside, yeah, not revealing the kingdom specific pawns immediately upfront could be a fun route to take, absolutely.

I’ve been thinking about your Theon-takes-Bran-and/or-Rickon to Alannys more than I probably should and I’m dangerously curious to know how you think his family members (particularly Alannys) would feel in such a situation. Of course, if you’re actually making this a fanfic, you don’t have to answer to this. If you want to daydream in public though…

I also am lol and I do not think I would ever be able to make it a fanfic so glad for the opportunity to daydream in public - I anyhow was going to make a post to address all you guys' reply lol. So lets make a little list of thoughts

A lot of my canon divergence fantasies for Theon are victory fantasies, as point-missing as that is, fantasies where he's succesful and loved lol. So the majority of the ironborn including Harlaws and Greyjoys are positively surprised and delighted with this incredibly wild success story. I feel like they would be, it is objectively politically expedient and militarly impressive. Particularly the Harlaws even would be glad as it puts them in a position to negotiate a land concession from the North rather than whatever Balon's plan was... but overall it's just A Win For Theon, politically. May or may not start to feel a little hollow when the morality of what he did catches up to him

Some drawbacks: he may be under lots of pressure to kill one of them given he has two, which he would definitely need to spin this giving-one-to-Alannys-as-spoils-of-war carefully to avoid. Can he? Canon Theon is not this master manipulator lol but they are his hostages. There may be more physical fighting in the battle planning room lol but he's keeping them. Another is that this really seals his claim I feel - it may not be enough for Balon to officially claim him as heir but he would imho win the kingsmoot and he would be at strong risk of being killed by Euron.

This means Asha is just... physically emitting steam all through this. Is she able to swallow her pride and offer him an alliance the way she does with Victarion? Good question. It's more humiliating and personal. He comes and he wins what she's been working on all these years and he dazzles mom when she's been the one bearing that grief and emotional difficulty all these years... this girl is SNAPPING. Interestingly, something Theon probably is not quite able to grasp is that the Harlaws are Asha's supporters and so in this universe he gave her an advantage through giving them a hostage. Could be a fun fic by people who can plot.

An interlude to say I genuinely didnt vote anything in that poll bc I genuinely have no preference/opinion. The nature of Bran's disability is such I don't know which of the two Theon would think is the strongest political threat to keep closer, and the nature of Pyke is that idk whether Theon would think Harlaw or Pyke is the safer place. I also can be convinced by both arguments on which is the most interesting - I liked alley and wexpyke's arguments for Rickon, that he's more mouldable (the idea of Alannys starting to call him Rodrik :///) and unlikely to reveal unpleasant truths (lmao alley I am not picturing Bran telling Alannys about Theon's warcrimes and banging Kyra in Ned's bed. Though probably the worst thing he could reveal in Theon's eyes is how genuinely he was friends with Robb). On the other hand I am sensitive to your argument of Bran being specifically Cat's favorite (and Cat is still alive and might well live, too) and I had considered already the fact he's almost 10 too. Plus cola-fiend gave me the image of him being cooped up in Rodrik's library potentially finding out about important prophecy stuff and ahhhh love it. Though I would also love for him to potentially interact with Euron. I also loved the idea of the hostage being Beth after the noose thing - maybe a version where instead of all this plot happening, he decides to go home when Asha tells him lol. But it's a darker different idea

Now, Alannys's Opinion. Eeeeh good question. It is something I struggle a bit to imagine. I mean how mentally present is she, how much she's able to find out about how Theon's hostage situation went before he leaves for some other war crimes... But overall I imagine for her too it grows hollow. For one thing she would start missing Theon and feeling bitter about this replacement and taking it out on the boy in question I think - it is unavoidable that he can only really stay with her a little while. I think she would be hungry for stories about Theon's years that she missed but get upset about them and not believe them often. I think with Rickon she may genuinely throw herself into raising him whenever she has the lucidity for it and liking how fierce he is and forget she's not actually her little pet project she can send to raid on the Stony Shore in 10 years. Overall the fact these kids are probably getting traded back soon-ish would be hard for her to deal both in term of attachment and of revenge. I think with Bran there's a degree to which she would enjoy to make him her little page boy and have him read to her and like hold her yarn or whatever it is she's able to do to spend her time but find she doesn't really feel satisfaction in it, Theon is weird and cagey about this feelings about having been subservient to the Starks so she doesn't really now how much of this is payback and Bran is sweet and mellow and serious and does not give satisfaction at all. I can see her too both having episodes of calling them Rodrik or Maron or mistaking them for her previous wards and (esp with Bran) or thinking she had a child post-rebellion and somehow forgot. Just very weird for everyone

Sometimes I wonder if Madaras dad made it known to the clan that he befriended a Senju or if it was kept a secret. I feel like his dad was smart enough to keep it under wraps, but in Izuna's eyes, he came to see his brothers friend prepare to ambush him. Of course he wouldn't trust the Senjus.

Also can we assume it was the same situation where Izuna was asked to spy on Madara down by the river? The Uchihas seem closer and more respectful of each other as family based on how they address each other, and how Madara's dad asked for his opinion whether or not they could win the fight.

hmm .. i never thought abt this before tbh but i agree. i'd think that tajima and izuna probably kept that between themselves. and w izuna's distrust of the senju, i agree w that as well, its understandable from his perspective to distrust them. to an extent i would think that its probably just the default of how everyone in the clans thought about members of the others cuz u spend ur entire life thinking of them as the enemy. so its difficult to come to see them as anything else. but i also think that izuna might have been extra protective of madara cuz he saw that there's a connection between him and hashirama and couldnt relate to what madara saw in him.

the fact that madara and hashirama decided to trust each other at all was pretty exceptional and probably heavily influenced by their fate-connection, i'd think. cuz as far as we know. this was the first time for smth like this to happen. maybe thats also why madara couldnt really explain to izuna why he's tempted to give in to him and trust him. cuz in the end its just a feeling and he doesnt have all that much to back that feeling up. whereas for izuna it probably just looks like they just met each other a few times as kids and hashirama was a nice kid but that doesnt mean he's trustworthy as an adult. similar to how tobirama didnt trust madara either even after konoha's founding.

maybe izuna also thought that hashirama's peace offerings werent rly genuine either and more of a means to oppress the uchiha or force them into some type of agreement where theyre made to submit to the senju. instead of an alliance on equal grounds (which is kind of :/ cuz like .. thats pretty much exactly what ended up happening later on).

and abt the inner-family dynamics in the uchiha clan. im not sure what to think abt whether/or how they differed from those of the senju tbh cuz we only have that one snippet that u've mentioned. but obviously someone found out abt it. and madara surely didnt give out that info on his own. so its likely i think that he was spied on by someone as well.

1. Why did Shepard enlist? Any regrets?

Celine doesn’t really have a choice - once they realize she’s a biotic they throw her into training right away. but she probably would have done it anyway - after Mindoir she’s looking for anything that can make her feel safe. she doesn’t end up regretting it, not really, but she does sometimes daydream about the life she could have had instead of becoming The Commander Shepard.

2. How does your Shepard feel about having a yeoman assigned to them in 2? And in 3?

she doesn’t really think about it? to her it’s just someone else on the crew. on a personal level, she’s always pretty leery of Kelly, and while she never does end up fully trusting her she would consider her a friendly acquaintance. Celine and Traynor are a totally different story - they hit it off right away, and Traynor ends up becoming once of her closest friends.

3. What’s their relationship with Anderson?

he’s her mentor! post-Mindoir she really looks at him with pure hero worship, but the longer she’s enlisted the more she starts to see him as a ~real person~ and after Akuze she starts coming to him for career advice. she really tries to model her time in the Alliance on what would make Anderson proud.

4. Is your Shepard any good at poker?

she’s *awful* and people love to tease her about it. but she genuinely loves to spend time with her friends and so she almost never turns down a game.

5. How well does Shepard know their crew? Not just the companions, but the folks making up the Normandy?

in ME1 & ME3 - really, really well. she goes out of her way to talk to everyone and makes sure she knows everyone’s name. she believes that doing so makes her a better leader.

in ME2 - not well at all. she avoids a lot of the Cerberus crew because she feels like she can’t trust them, though there are a few exceptions.

6. Initial reaction to EDI? Does it change?

she’s wary. at first she only thinks of EDI as a Cerberus tool, and is terrified of being spied on. but her open-mindedness about AI & her conversations with EDI really open her eyes, and she apologizes to EDI about her initial misgivings before going through the Omega 4 relay.

7. Does their love interest move into their quarters?

ABSOLUTELY, she’s encouraging Garrus to move in the first chance she gets. he’s a little bit hesitant (chain of command and Turian propriety and all that) but Celine is rather…..convincing. she wins him over. 😉

8. What is their reaction to the Alchera mission? And after?

she does not take it very well. once she gets the assignment she drops everything to get to Alchera as fast as she can. she spends hours down on the planet - it’s really the first time she’s confronting the fact that she died, and by the time she gets back to the Normandy she’s a mess. luckily, Joker and Garrus are waiting for her, and they sit with her in her cabin for hours until she’s finally able to fall asleep.

9. What type of fighter is your shepard? Do they fight with honor, or do they fight dirty?

vanguard baybeeeeeee. & if you ask Celine, she’ll swear up and down to you that she fights with honor. if you ask the person who just tried to shoot one of her friends and then sees her charging at them from across the battlefield? wellllll that’s another story.

10. Does Shepard keep any pets? The hamster, fish, something else?

Celine LOVES animals. following her resurrection, adopting the space hamster and the fish are some of the first things that she really does just for herself. she’s devastated when she has to turn herself in and leave her animals behind, but she uses her one hour of outside time per day during house arrest to feed stray cats that live on the Alliance base.

11. What order does Shepard pick up companions in me2? Miranda&Jacob, Kasumi, Zaeed, Garrus, Mordin, Grunt, Jack, Samara, Thane, Tali, Legion

12. Does Shepard have any nicknames? What do they think of em?

she doesn’t, and she usually discourages people from calling her anything other than her title or her name. Vega gets away with calling her Lola because they have a brother/sister relationship, but it took a while for them to get there & he’s the only one she tolerates it from. the only other exception is Garrus, who occasionally lets slip a “my love” or something similar, to which Celine always reacts by going full heart eyes emoji. (I have a lot of backstory here to explain why she feels this way but this answer is already long hahahaha)

13. How does your Shep react to teasing/ribbing?

she loves it & she gives as good as she gets. teasing is the building block to friendship for her.

14. Any good at flirting?

she is, but only on accident. when she’s trying to flirt with someone she gets in her head and stumbles over her words, but she’s a natural flirt and doesn’t realize it.

15. What colors does Shepard prefer for their armor?

Celine loves pink. It is her all time favorite color, and she starts wearing pink armor the second she’s able to get away with it.

16. Is Shepard a drinker? History of other substances? Do they struggle with sobriety

In between Mindoir and Akuze, Celine was theee poster child for self destructive behavior. She drank and smoked A LOT, and most of the times she got in trouble it was for coming back to base late after a night of partying. After Akuze she really gets her act together, only drinking socially and not falling back on those habits…..until she gets resurrected, and can’t sleep, and there’s a bar on her ship. She spends a good portion of ME2 drinking too much, and only manages to stop again with Thane’s help. she has a few rough patches after that, but is always able to pull herself back out and eventually is able to drink socially again.

17. How does Shepard react to attention? Do they enjoy it?

she HATES it. being known as ~the survivor of Mindoir~ really fucked her up, and she views fame and attention from people she doesn’t know as something that will eat her alive. for Celine, the fame is one of the hardest parts of being the figurehead against the Reapers, and for the most part she lets other people address the media

18. Who’s the dream team? Which companions does Shepard fight best with and why?

ME1 - Garrus and Wrex

ME2 - Garrus and Thane (sniper squad my beloved)

ME3 - Garrus and Liara

19. Are there any companions your Shepard just absolutely cannot vibe with or relate to

Celine and Zaeed butt heads A LOT, and it takes a long time for her to find middle ground with him. And while she ultimately comes to see Miranda and Jacob as friends, the Cerberus stuff gets in the way for a really, really long time.

20. Does Shepard enjoy looking for resources and upgrading gear, or do they see it as a chore?

she adores it! her dad was a mechanic, and so she grew up tinkering with all sorts of farm equipment. her love of building things and taking things apart is what she initially bonds with Garrus and Tali over

26. Does your Shepard have a romance? Who are they, and what drew Shep to them?

ME1 - Celine has the *biggest* crush on Liara, but doesn’t want to take advantage of her after the death of her mother/is afraid of fucking up her job. Ashley knows and encourages her to go for it, but Celine ends up spending the night before Ilos just sitting in the cockpit and talking with Joker.

ME 2 - look, Celine doesn’t MEAN to fall for her Turian bestie. but they’ve both been through a lot and he really *gets her* and no one makes her laugh like he does and uh oh what are these feelings doing here??? only now she’s with Cerberus and doesn’t care about being professional so why not go for it?

ME 3 - the funny thing about the Alliance putting her in house arrest is, it makes Celine not care even a little bit if anyone knows that Garrus is living in her cabin.

She lovesssss any kind of activity she can do with her hands, and always encourages other people to do these activities with her. During war she’s really only able to mod guns and work on her model ships, but post-ME3 she gets really into puzzles and Legos and knitting

Celine goes to the gym out of necessity; her only true physical hobby is yoga. while she’s on the Normandy, she reads a lot and just spends time with her friends.

Celine’s a little bit of a thrill seeker - while everyone else was screaming in the back seat of the mako, she was giggling the entire time

31. Who can always make them laugh?

oh god, it would be faster to name the people who couldn’t. Celine is pretty quick to laugh and genuinely finds a lot of things funny.

32. What do they do when they have hit their limit angry, just incandescent with rage

she shuts down. just goes totally silent and retreats from other people. when it gets really bad, she smashes her model ships and then has to rebuild them.

33. What skills do they have that are a surprise to the people around them?

she can blow a perfect smoke ring, every time she tries

in game, no. she just never had the time. but post-ME3? oh yeah, she goes nuts getting them. it’s one of the only things that lets her really feel like her body belongs to her.

Kaidan, Thane, Mordin, and Legion. They’re all hard on her, but she takes Thane’s death the worst. He was one of her best friends, and losing him takes her to a really dark place.

36. Do they like to style their hair, wear makeup and jewlery? How do they feel about getting dressed up?

She wears her hair braided during combat, to keep it out of the way, and doesn’t bother putting makeup on. During downtime though? Her hair is always down, and she usually wears at least a little bit of makeup. She loves to dress up and look pretty, and doing so reminds her of her mom.

she can get so focused on things that she completely forgets to take care of herself - eventually EDI has to start informing other people on the ship how long it’s been since she’s slept or eaten, and they have to drag her to bed against her will

she starts a book club during her time with Cerberus - it starts as a joke between her and Kasumi, but eventually catches on with like half of the squad. she keeps it up during ME3 and one of her very first messages to her friends when she wakes up post-Reaper War is that she’s earned making the next book pick

she wears a necklace that belonged to her mother in ME1. she loses it when she dies over Alchera, and in ME3 Garrus has a replica made for her

Some more GoG and TMA crossover thoughts:

Hoole using Beholding powers to counter veiled insults and/or backhanded compliments - not out of active malice, but out of genuine confusion(at least the first few times): he's a very straightforward guy, so royal courtiers trying to play emotional 5d chess during a conversation would be annoying at best and deeply upsetting at worst for him. So, when he finds himself thinking about another conversation with an older noble where they were seemingly polite, but The Vibes(tm) felt off, and another courtier tries to talk to him, Hoole is having None Of That and tells the courtier "Just say exactly what you mean, for goodness sake!". It works like a charm, but the courtier is rattled to their bones afterwards (and probably spilled way too much tea about everyone's plans out of sheer anxiety).

Also: Hoole approaching avatars of other fears with an open mind - he pretty much thinks of them as potential friends/allies unless they prove themselves too hostile. (He also never really got the memo that avatar powers aren't supposed to manifest as early as they did for him - sometimes he unintentionally scares people by showing off).

Not unique to this AU, but: everyone roasting Lord Arrin. You know how in Elden Ring, when you sneak into Stormveil castle and talk to NPCs, they all say how they hate Godrick and how terrible of a lord he is? That's how Arrin's allies would talk about him. He's not a total idiot, he's actually pretty good at being a noble and running a domain, but he is also very good at getting at everyone's nerves and not noticing it until its far too late.

Arrin picking absolutely worst people to get into verbal duels with and getting his ass handed to him on a platter. He once tried insulting Hoole with "Where are your manners, have you been raised by wolves?" only to get "Why, yes; say hello to all my honorary cousins! *wide gesture at the wolves of the Beyond*" followed by the slyest I see what you're doing and I'm having none of that look from Hoole. This isn't even the first time Arrin tried "Have you been raised by [insert species]?" line and got destroyed with the comeback.

Seriously, this guy gets roasted behind his back so much(particularly by his hagsfiend allies), and most of it is deserved.

Speaking of which: Penryck keeps the somewhat unstable gathering of clan warriors and stragglers from fighting each other or Arrin's army. This man is going to have a back pain from carrying this alliance so far. He originally planned to team up with Arrin's son, Baldr(he has no canon name, so I picked one), but that didn't work quite as well as he thought: Baldr supports Penryck's plans at Arrin's meetings, but they are still kind of isolated from most other warlords (they're winning the younger ones over, but it is a slow process)

Penryck actually worked with Ullryck, Ygreek and Pleek before Arrin's rebellion - just not at the same time. Once Arrin made it clear that he's hiring hagsfiends, Penryck reached out to them - recruiting the best assasin and the best tracker in the field (technically, he's also marked by The Hunt and can track people pretty well, but his main fear entity is still the Slaughter, so he'll gladly outsource tracking and chasing to someone he trusts.) Not really related to the Fears, but: he has an accent - it is pretty subtle, but he sometimes puts on an exagerrated version of it specifically to annoy Arrin.

Kreeth is both a local cryptid of the Ice Narrows and a very common point of connection between other hagsfiends: she deals in Fear-affiliated artifacts, among other things. According to the wildest rumours, she can remove Fear marks - she never gives a clear answer if you ask her, though. (She can't actually remove the marks, but can sort of cover them up with new ones)

Catholics LOVE flipflopping around the Bible to either use it when it confirms their bias and then then throw it through the windows when it's not convenient anymore. It's impossible to argue with people like that.

That's why it's so exhausting to argue with you. It's like playing a game and your opponent keeps making up rules so that he can always win.... I have precisely the same issue with Muslims who say that the Bible is corrupted.....yet say that it announces Mohamed as the new herald of God and that Jesus was a Muslim (... which implies there's some truth in the Bible....but only favoring Islam of course...)

Okay, playing through AG with the sis, and can I say? How completely forced the distrust towards Claude feels? "I trust the Alliance allies, but CLAUDE'S a different story!" "Who knows what Claude REALLY wants with us, best to keep an eye on HIM!" "Can never be too cautious with CLAUDE!"

And I'm like... he... hasn't done anything? On AG? To warrant any of this? Like this would be an entirely different story if they were like this after Claude is replaced by Clyde, but like Claude at this point is just, like... not doing anything. It feels weird cuz, like, yes, the Lions are in fact technically correct to distrust Claude because atrocious writing morphs him into an entirely different character, but nothing in the narrative really justifies them thinking SO poorly of Claude’s character in AG yet?

(And given the tiny bit I know of AG, I'm kinda questioning if it's warranted... ever, on specifically this route lmao)

It's like the game trying to ease the player in on how FUCKED over Claude’s character becomes, because while in 3H there was also distrust thrown his way from the Kingom side on AM 1) it wasn't NEARLY this reinforced over and over, and 2) the distrust... was actually wrong? This is why I say the Lions walked away only mostly unscathed, because this also had me scratching my head. Like. Yeah, okay, Claude is known for his plots and schemes . . . if you've known him long enough.

This game seems keen on forgetting that these students spent two weeks in each other's company. I suppose you could say Claude revealed his oh-so cunning nature during the mock battle, but . . . but to completely distrust his character based on a mock battle? Where he was all bark and no bite anyway? Come on. Because you're right; people are a little wary of Claude on AM, but they had spent a year together at that point, and I think there's a much different tension to stretching yourselves thin to go help a person who's known for always having something up his sleeve than . . . accepting help from someone who is fighting this fight so damn well he has resources to spare and who gains literally nothing from fucking you over anyway. Like the minimal distrust there was pretty understandable, given what we were exposed to about Claude's character, but here it's very shoehorned in. It's a good example of the story relying on . . . not even emotional payoff from last time, just facts told in the last story that can't remain true here. It's strange.

And it's not like Claude just sends grunts to bolster Faerghus' forces, the way the Empire does to just ~check up on things~ and ~report them to Her Majesty~ in the Federation. No, Claude sends four of his most esteemed and trusted generals. He cut his inner circle by more than half and sent 'em over to Faerghus to help fuck up the Empire. The Lions know who they are, and should, at the very least, know what it means for Claude's own army. And yet . . . Claude is scheming. Plotting. What is Claude planning! (I'll tell you what he's doing he's helping you win this damn war --)

The problem with treating Claude with the same (or worse) skepticism from Houses and non-AG Hopes routes is that all he does on AG is his fucking job. Like setting aside that we, as the player, know that Claude sent over four of his highest ranking generals and friends . . . Claude is . doing what Claude does. Protecting Leicester, keeping causalities to a minimum, working toward peace by helping the Kingdom keep their independence and drive out the Empire. He was winning this war so hard he had four generals to spare. He's like a cat that left not a dead mouse on your doorstep, but four very neatly clipped flowers which also have medicinal uses. Like he's just. I dunno man people were pointing the finger for things he didn't do dklfjdlkjg. This game does not have Houses' continuity no matter how much it wishes it did. Goddamn. Making Claude out to be no worse than he ever was on Azure Moon (in fact, making him damn-near benevolent) and treating him with the same skepticism you would on Golden-fucking-Wildfire is a very poor writing choice.

As someone who's gone through AG already: Claude is a fucking blessing to the Kingdom, through and through. I'll keep the details minimal for you, but . . . yeah Claude's a fucking miracle lol. I actually quite enjoyed him on AG; if I hadn't had GW as context for his character, I would have just waved away some of his lines of nonsense retconning (which it is anyway, but it's relatively easy to ignore on a route that's so thoroughly Dimitri-and-Kingdom-focused).
