RWBY VOLUME 8 EPISODE 10 SPECULATION AFTERMATH!!!

SPOILERS!!!

Ugh!!! 😩 Do you know how much of a pain it is to work around trying to watch a RWBY episode when it comes out and manage a job with a 12 hour shift?? It SUCKS!!! I wasn’t able to watch the episode until late late Saturday night because I was too exhausted to stay awake to watch it and then had to go back to work the next few days!!! Sigh.....it doesn’t matter......BECAUSE THIS EPISODE WAS SO AMAZING AND STUNNING THAT NOW I DONT GIVE A S*** ABOUT THE LONG HOURS!!! 😆 Welp....enough about my lack of sleep, let’s get right into the Aftermath!!!

-(When The TinMan Loses “Heart”) Well I’m glad I got this portion of the episode somewhat right from my speculation 😏. I’m glad we are finally getting a continuation of Qrow and Robyn’s story arc for this volume and it looks like it’s heading towards its climax when they finally meet the general.

Speaking of which......Sweet Cream On A Ice Cream Sandwich 😆 Whoever directed those portion of Ironwoods scenes deserves an award because those were GOOD!!! The tension in the air when he speaks, the dread of wondering what he is about to do, the conveniently placed light shining down upon him as he delivers his ultimatum, all of it had me at the edge of my seat when I was watching it and I loved it! Now unfortunately I know that there are fans of Ironwood that are disappointed with how things are going for him so I just want to say my piece and my stance on his character so there won’t be any confusion in the future. When Ironwood was introduced in the series back in volume 2 I have always assumed that he would eventually become an “antagonist” to Team RWBY. CRWBY has conveyed that well enough for me through out the series that seeing what’s transpiring right now is of no surprise to me. Now it’s important to note that I am not going to call Ironwood a “villain”, but instead an “antagonist”, because the writing back in volume 7 has made me believe that there is chance of him being redeemed in the future. His character for me has always been of someone that fully believes that to get through a situation that they must do it “their way” and that there in no other alternatives. After coming face to face with the reality of Salem and her immortality he is now walking the same path as headmaster Leonardo did and that Fear is gripping him from listening to others. But after watching volume 7 I believe that there may be chance to get through to him and make him see reason because he is a good man under all that metal. Words alone were enough to make him understand before Salem’s arrival but now knocking some since into him is the only way to make him see reason.....and I believe Qrow may be the one to do it. Question now is.....will he knock some sense into the tin-man before vengeance grips his mind and ends up killing him instead? We will have to see......

-(“A few more Tricks Up Its Sleeve”) Ok....In my speculation post I made a prediction of how the story would continue after Oscar releasing the Long-Memory’s power because I thought it would be just destroying Salem and Hazel only. BUT Apparently it was enough power to create a huge blast to destroy not only Salem and Hazel, but the Whale and surrounding Grimm!?!? 😳 HOLY S***!!!! That whole sequence was honestly amazing and yet another part of the episode that I found aesthetically pleasing!!! Not only that but the aftermath with the fog and debris after the explosion surrounding the city as the sun rises was great as well. Oz wasn’t kidding when he said that the cane had a few tricks up it’s sleeve and to finally know that it can store up “kinetic energy” is an interesting way for CRWBY to put about it. I am disappointed that my prediction was wrong but it’s given me new things to think about for the story to go forward with so I admit defeat yet again with my tin foil hat on and a smile on my face 😁.

-(A Remedy For A Bloody Migraine) This Scene was Amazing and much needed after dealing with Cinder’s shortcomings after Beacon for so long. Christopher Sabat will always be a win for me to when a voice actor conveys anger and sarcasm at the same time in a character they are playing. I was honestly expecting Cinder to drop Watts to his death after his rant but seeing her drag him back and tearfully accept the truth of his words has boldend my view of her characters growth as a villain going forward. The “Power trip” and presence of her believing she’s better then everyone has become a crutch in her character for some time and now there is finally someone telling her straight up of her failures to her face and I’m honestly quite glad it’s Watts. These two has always had disdain between each other since volume 4, so to see how this scene plays out has me wondering if we may see a change in not only Cinder going forward as a villain but in also how Watts works with her in future volumes. 😊Also I gotta love the short scene involving Neo texting Cinder about the lamp. Neo is a loveable little s*** but it’s funny to know that Cinder is the same when taking pictures of someone, just to make a contact profile for them lmao 😆.

-(Reunion) After being separated from each other since episode 1 of the volume, it is really nice to see them back together again. I also loved the music in the background when the scene was playing out, especially when the chorus hit during the bumblebee scene. I am bit disappointed that no one commented on Oscar’s terrible condition yet but seeing Emerald all of a sudden pop up is understandably a good reason to pause rational thinking lol. I will say though that I have a pretty good feeling that the next episode will address about Oscar and many other things between certain characters that I have been waiting for, so I am excited about that.

-(Ultiamtum) With Salem momentarily gone it is now time to deal with Ironwood and to what eventually I believe will lead to the staff of creation. Things are now heading towards the climax of the volume and Ironwoods “ultimatum” may resurface some issues that were addressed back in episode 1. There is no doubt the heroes will have to make a tough choice between saving thousands of lives or saving one friend and whatever they choose to do I believe will form more division between the heroes. To whom ever will be conflicting about the ultimatum will undoubtably make us the audience have issues going forward in the story on whose in the “right”........so yeah be prepared for that upcoming storm of emotions lol 😓

Episode 10 of Volume 8 is by far the most aesthetically pleasing in the story and it has built up some interesting plot points for us to wonder about going forward. So Until The Next Episode......BUH-BYE!!! 😆😆😆😆

Ok... Gotta say my Farewell to Vol 8. So If you dont like what Im about to say best click off now or ignore it.

Ok so you decided to click on it, Alrighty brace yourself

This entire Arc was just fucking horrendous. No joke, this entire arc was just garbage entirely, no joke. The way how they made Ironwood into a cartoon villain making him into some albeist joke of people who are diagnosed with ADHD, PTSD, Actual Amputees’, etc. This was meant to be A FUCKING WAR ARC!!!

Which means I expected these few things from this Arc even though I was not watching it.

- Plenty of Character Deaths ranging from Main, Secondary, and Tertiary Characters.

- Stakes at An All New High.

- Characters being forced to make tough decisions or risks that fail or pay off.

- Uneasy Alliances being forged.

- Tensions between Team RWBY, Ironwoods Group, and Salems.

-SALEM TEARING ATLAS AND MANTLE A NEW ONE.

- THE VILLIANS ACTUALLY FUCKING WIN THIS VOLUME.

Instead We Got:

-Ruby’s Group BEING INSIDE THE FUCKING HOUSE LIKE IN VOLUME 5 BARELY DOING FUCK ALL!!!

- Ironwood being “villainized” even further instead of turning him into a morally-grey villain.

- Team RWBY “winning” through plot armor and bad writing like the Mary Sues they are.

- Bumbleby Ship-Baiting... AGAIN. (Seriously. . . fuck off) (No hate to anyone who ships BB but at this point it was seriously getting annoying and tiring)

- Salem Just Getting Merked... NOT ONCE FOLKS. BUT TWICE!!!

- The Hound Getting Merked.....

Seriously no joke, this was such a bullshit, deadbeat volume. No joke it makes me so frustrated to see that this entire Volume was fucked up to no end. Yangs and Rubys argument did not feel like an actual fucking argument.

What I expect from an argument was four things.

- Calling them Out On Their Actions.

- Person A and B Debating About their Actions/Decisions which said argument intensifies.

- Person A or B Starts a fight after saying something that pisses one of them off

- Fight Between A and B, Totally Optional to have a bystander such as C or D end the Fight.

Instead we get....a simple Argument that barely intensifies and only has Yang calling Ruby out on her abilities being a leader of a team. We should have Ruby also calling out Yang for sharing the information to Robyn and her “Happy Huntresses.” Which should’ve escalated to the point where Ruby says. “Well that Gung-Ho Attitude is what caused you to lose your Arm!!”

or Yang saying:

“Well If you didn’t decide to...Oh I dont know have our faces pasted on EVERY VIRTUAL BOARD IN ATLAS FOR YOUR SHIT DECISIONS!”

Not to mention to have Blake ,Weiss, and the Rest of ORNJ just look in awe or shock.... at seeing them argue to the point where they start fighting SERIOUSLY THATS WHAT A FUCKING ARGUMENT IS MEANT TO FEEL LIKE IN A WAR ARC!!!!

Moving on from that... anyways Cinders Past was just so so so SO LAZY.....

No joke her past was so boring it was to the point where I found it just uninteresting at all. Yet that brings up a good point hat I said once and I will say again. “How Come the FNDM praises Women that get beaten and show love to them rather than Men who also get abused like Adam whose EYE WAS BRANDED and MERCURY WHOSE LEGS WERE BROKEN BY THE FEMUR NO LESS.”

No joke for her it was just... a shock collar and she was berated verbally.....You know this actually makes Ellie from Last of Us Part 2 Look Better than Cinders. (Yeah I went there!)

Like if you want to do Twisted Cinderella with some RWBY Vibes.... heres how you do it.

- Have Cinder be in Awe at the Sight of a Huntsman or Huntress fighting which inspires her to be a Huntress when Reeves finally tells her she can be one.

- Show that Reeves does care about her and when he falls ill and dies Cinder is berated even more by the twins and the proprietor where she was enslaved.

- What Finally causes her to snap and kill everyone was when she finds out her “sisters” burned her Academy Approval letter on their mothers order causing her to kill and murder which she is later on arrested and then bailed out by Watts who leads her to Salem.

Seriously DO IT FUCKING RIGHT ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO CINDER WHOSE PAST WAS IN SHADOWS FOR 8 WHOLE FUCKING YEARS.

8 YEARS AND YOU DROP IT LIKE A RAW PIECE LAMB CHOP!!!

Finally SALEM. Oh God how did they fuck up with Salem?! I will admit there was some moments that spooked me. However it was not enough to make me feel nervous for the characters as a whole.

Like for example I expected her to wipe the floor with Atlas’ forces and just seriously showing destruction and chaos arriving. Instead last season it looked like she was JUST APPROACHING THE CITY.

Which would have been a “Race Against The Clock/War” Volume since Salem would have begun her destruction of Atlas and even forcing her way into Atlas.... and then suddenly Hazel performs a Heel-Face-Turn that suddenly screams BS because seriously he should’ve had some sort of a better redemption that felt built up, then she gets BURNED THEN NUKED BY OZPINS MAGICAL CANE OF SUPERPOWERED BULLSHIT. Which Held enough magic to unleash it....which could have been used during the BATTLE OF BEACON. However, I wont complain about it why?

Cause, I think the major reason is because If he were to use it in there he would be revealing Beacon’s Relic Vault as well to Cinder which she can use to open it and take the Relic of Choice. Which I believe was a pragmatic choice because you also have to think of the people who are still trying to escape or evacuating at the moment.

Now the ultimate disrespectful thing the CRWBY did for their “Design a Grimm” contest was the Sulfur Fish.

THIS DESIGN WAS SICK, AND THE ABILITIES WAS JUST JAW DROPPINGLY COOL!

However what does CRWBY do instead of giving a Full Scene where we see its Forms or attacking other soldiers/people.

It gets... *Drumroll*

A Cameo sequence...thats it. A Cameo....Wow CRWBY you are shit. Just absolutely shit at writing and even giving the winner of the Design-A-Grimm Contest Winner an actual shot...while you overwork your animators giving Anxiety Disorders or PTSD. Great Show.

TL;DR: RWBY Volume 8 was one of the most boring, shittiest, and a snoozefest of a volume with such bad writing that it makes even watching The Last of Us Part II look good!

If you are planning on dropping RWBY let me offer you an Alternative.

Say hello to Meta Runner! A series that I find to be a favorite of mine and one that is actually better than RWBY’s garbage ass bullshit writing.

To give you a brief synopsis, This series follows Tari a girl who wakes up in Silica City without any memory of what has happened except some brief flashbacks. To which TasCorp the antagonistic corporation seeks to use her for entertainment, while there is a mystery element about a famous gamer gone missing... and its up to Tari and the help of a Resistance force to find out this mystery.

This series is done by Glitch Studios which many do know them as...drumroll please! *drumroll*

The Youtubers SMG4! Who is well known for doing GMOD Shitposts!

Its actually quite relieving to see a series that these two brothers actually want to share with us! They dont want to do it for money or for anything just for the sake of a good story!

Right... Its that time of year, and I'm a bit behind, so RWBY vol8 chapters 1&2 in 1 go:

🎶Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends,

We're so glad you could attend come inside come inside!

(these are my observations and above all my OPINIONS, cool?)

Cinder is the scullery maid. This is a flashback, note Cinders clawing of the seat in cadence to the scrub brush. I do not see this as a new character being introduced like Oscar was in vol4.

Neos face....If she wasn't planning on backstabbing Cinder before, I daresay Cinder claiming credit for gaining the Lamp just painted bullseyes on her kidneys.

Oh...shit. Children made mommy Salem raise her hand. "Just because you are more valuable to me than a pawn does NOT make you a player." I have SO gotta remember that line. And that dismissive little wave? ummmph.

Take a good look at that pic above. The furred hands with claws? I've seen people argue mole or sloth. I say nope- He is a badger. The cap, tweed jacket, dour expression, two tone hair...all scream British/european badger to me. And intresting developement, Fiona calls him Uncle in chapter 2.

Weiss is trying, but dark humor is still a bit beyond her...

Nope, no sacrificial gestures to maybe save the world, Penny. Nuh uh no one is having it.

Ok, that started out a bit heated, but they've identified 2 goals that need to happen, split into 2 parties that consciencly or not the individuals skills best suit the party they are with. I agree with Oscar and Jaune, this is more the Scooby Gang splitting up to look for clues than the MCU Civil War split that Ruby, Yang, and a good chunk of the fandom think it is.

Why the new teams make sense to me- Team RNBW+ Weiss and Penny for knowlege of the layout of the base. Blake and May, stealth. Ruby, speed. Nora...well, when the plan goes awry, who better to ride the wave of chaos than Chaos Incarnate herself? So with Nora, Penny, and Weiss' summons, you've got 3 very heavy hitters that can really wreck things once subtlety is out.

Team YJRO yeah I know its bzckwads but some object otherwise. The Jaune Ren semblence combo to corral civvies and keep em calm,With Yang providing frontline and Oscar second tier DPS, they should do fine. Other than Ren, their skillsets don't lend well to sneaking into secure facilities...

Ironwood you manipulative fuck.... Good on Ruby to tell him where to stick it. Now, at this point, I had a VERY small glimmer of hope for the Tinman, and had a wild what if moment- What if Ruby took the chance and told Ironwood-"Hey, look, let us have the arena codes, we'll finish the tower, get the word out and distract Salem while you get the rest of Mantle and Atlas to safety".... but nope, Jimmy boy thinks HE is the only way to save Remnant.

And boy howdy did Ironknickers lose it.Judging by the reactions after shooting Sleet: Marrow wants out. That is a "What the FUCK am I doing here?" face. Vine, unmoved. Will most likely stay the course. Elm looks shook, could be convinced to go or stay Harriet seems all aboard the Mad Tyrant train, Winter looks to be same spot as Elm, could go either way. Penny and Weiss gotta have a heart to heart with her.

Salem: FETCH.

A goodly chunk of Yang&co in chapter 2 we have seen in the teasers and trailer, not too much new in the first half aside from Yang putting the verbal smackdown on a bigoted old bitch. And damn that was fun to watch. Like how the one lady doesn't give up her weapon, a snowshovel.

I really like the Snowbyrd(Schneewood Forest!) ship, but how can you cast aside competent, cute, bubbly, cute (seriously weapons grade adorable) Fiona? More of her, please?

Sweet fluffy demons.Weiss plan to get into the base is to mail themselves up there? Anyone who has seen Heavy Metal knows pnuematic tubes and robots dont get along. And holy... NORA!

Ok, the thing thinks. It talks. And it can morph. @fandompariah I think crwby owes you a credit mention at the very least.

So. Till next week and we find out what Jim is going to do with his prisoners.
