.......................................................................................
Joel decided to set up camp for the night, only outside of Boston by 10 miles.
Tess had just died, and things were still tender between Joel, Y/N, and Ellie.
Tess was Y/N’s older sister, and she looked up to her more than anyone.
And so did Joel.
Tess was their rock. Their steady hand in hard times. And she was gone.
But at least Joel and Y/N had each other.
They had been in an awkward “Are they? Aren’t they?” Situation for the past two years.
They liked each other, that much was clear by the stolen glances and small smiles they gave one another. But they hesitated.
They didn’t want to invest too much in each other just to watch the other die in front of them.
So, they remained friends.
Friends that like each other a lot.
And Ellie noticed it too.
She saw the way the two “friends” would share food. His hand was always placed on her waist or shoulder. Her eyes always flickered to him in a situation.
She knew they loved each other.
Y/N sat her pack down, her body sore. She sat down, leaning back against the trunk of a tree.
Joel immediately took notice of her exhausted behavior, “Hey.”
She looked up, her voice soft, “…what?”
He kneels down next to her, “…you alright? Not… hurt or nothing?”
She pulls up her sleeve, revealing a nasty bruised where an infected had grabbed her.
He immediately pulled her arm in front of him, studying it.
“I’m fine…really. Just a bruise….”
His thumb grazes over her forearm lightly, his mind wandering a million miles an hour.
But that mind stilled when she spoke again, “…you alright, Joel?”
He nods, “Yeah. Fine.”
She takes that as an answer, studying the frown lines in his face with a smile of her own. She couldn’t help but like the older man. How kind he was to her. The caring touch he always gave her. She always felt her heart jump when he’d give her a soft look after practically murdering someone in front of her. In a way, it was… sweet.
Ellie had a shit eating grin on her face, watching the exchange with a careful eye.
If Joel noticed, he didn’t care enough to comment, his worry focused on the woman in front of him. “You take your meds?”
She sighed, her shoulders falling slightly, “…no.”
His eyes hardened, “Take them.”
A small smile came to her lips, “…Joel…”
“I fucking mean it. Take them. Now.”
Her smile fell, realizing how serious he had become. Her eyes watched the micro-expressions in his face change too.
She pushed herself up slightly with a huff. She pulled her pack to her, flipping the top up with a bit of an attitude. She dug around for a while. Finally, she found them, pulling out the orange pill bottle with a content sigh.
Joel reached back, pulling out his canteen, handing it to her. “Go on…”
She took the pills, taking a drink from his canteen and handing it back to him.
He smiled, “Good girl.”
And with that, he stood, going to check the perimeter.
Ellie watched him walk away, her eyebrows furrowing. She stood up, walking closer to Y/N. She then kneeled down, not much differently than Joel had. “What, uh… what was that?”
The woman scoffed softly, “…you’ve never heard of medication before?”
Ellie rolled her eyes, “No. I know what that is. I meant… you two. Like… what… I don’t know… what are you two?”
The woman looked up at the sunset. Or, at least, what she could see over the trees. She sighed, “I don’t know, El. Don’t ask things that there’s no answer to.”
Ellie huffed, moving back to her previous spot.
A few hours later, when the sun was long gone, the three of them sat around a small fire. Ellie sat across from Joel and Y/N, occasionally looking over at them.
Y/N’s eyelids were slightly drooping. They had been like that since they stopped for the day. It seemed that she couldn’t keep herself awake.
And Joel noticed. Of course, he did.
So, he let her lean against him, her head resting on his shoulder.
He leaned his head down, his mouth in her hair, “Wanna sleep, sweetheart?”
Her grip tightened on his arm just slightly, “no… I… I’m fine… I’m awake…”
Joel chuckled. “Nah, honey. Go to sleep. Ellie and I will watch, right?”
Ellie’s head perked up and she nodded quickly.
Y/N seemed to take that for an answer, slowly beginning to move to set up her sleeping bag.
Joel grabbed her wrist, “Hey. Just… stay here, yeah?”
She turned to look at him, her eyebrows coming together in confusion. But the confusion didn’t outweigh the exhaustion, because she quickly nodded and moved back.
She leaned against his shoulder once again, feeling his arm snake around her waist to hold her against him.
“Just sleep. I gotcha, darlin’.”
She let her eyes close, the sleep calling to her.
A silence resounded through the forest, only the cricket’s chirping being heard.
Joel held her close, relishing in the feeling it gave him to know she was there. Safe in his arms. He could see her resting next to him, her chest moving up and down with each breath.
He lightly kissed the top of her head.
It seemed only then he remembered Ellie’s presence, because his gaze shifted her her.
She had a large smirk on her face, her eyebrows raised.
Joel scoffed, “Oh, shut up.”
“I didn’t say nothing.”
“You said enough.”
She laughs to herself, going back to staring at the fire.
Y/N shivered lightly, her body temperature dropping.
Joel immediately shrugged off his jacket, moving her in his arms to wrap it around her.
It woke her up, just barely, as she began to mumble. “No… don’t… I… I’m not cold...”
He wrapped her in it, pulling her further into his arms, trying to transfer some of his heat to her.
“…Joel…”
He leaned his head down, “It’s alright… I wanted to… Let me look after you. Please, sweetheart.”
A soft breath left her lungs as she relaxed again, presumably falling back asleep.
Ellie studied the transaction, curious about something.
Joel rolled his eyes, “What now?”
Ellie continued to stare at the woman, “What’s wrong with her?”
Joel’s jaw clenched. “There’s nothing wrong with her. She just… has a harder time than most.”
“...Well, that was vague as fuck.”
“Ellie… Goddammit. Just… ugh.”
“...Well…?”
Joel sighed, “…it’s anemia. She’s anemic.”
Ellie stared at the fire, thinking, “I don’t…”
“It’s a blood disease.”
Her mouth formed a small ‘o,’ her eyes moving back to him. He took this as a sign to continue.
“The body needs oxygen. And a lot of it. There are these… carriers, I guess you could say, and they carry the oxygen through the bloodstream to different organs. They’re called blood cells.”
Ellie nodded, trying to follow along.
“Well, she doesn’t make enough of them. Her body doesn’t get enough oxygen. Makes her tired… and… whatnot…”
“So, that’s what her medicine is for?”
Joel nodded. “Hard to come by but… better than nothing.”
Ellie gulped. “And… when she doesn’t have any more?”
Joel's gaze hardened. “She has enough for the trip, alright. This is the most strenuous thing I’ll ever make her do,” his hand rubs across his face, “…fuck..” He sighed under his breath.
“So… it makes her tired and…what?”
Joel looks back up at her, “…dizzy, nauseous… she passes out sometimes, but… it’s rare. Out of breath… she’s having a harder time right now because… well.. you know…”
Ellie’s stare was blank, “…how the fuck do I know?”
Joel sighed again, his voice slightly raised, “Goddammit. Her… time of the month…”
“Oh. She’s on her period?” Ellie said with a smirk.
“Yeah. Yeah. So… even more less blood to go around… so… we’ll take it easy the next few days… give her a break.”
Ellie nods. Silence sets in before...
“You love her, don’t you?”
Joel’s head perks up, a surprised look on his face. “…What? No, I don’t…”
“Yeah you do.”
“No, I don’t.”
“Look at yourself, Joel.”
Joel looked down. His arm was wrapped around her waist, the other arm rubbing up and down her leg to create heat. He let out a grunt, “This is why I don’t fucking tell you things.”
Ellie scoffed, “You didn’t fucking say it. I’m looking at it, idiot.”
“Go the fuck to bed.”
“Wow. Just... wow. Way to be an adult, Joel. Real mature.”
“Goodnight.”
Y/N woke up a little while later to Joel moving her in his arms. She shifted, her eyes starting to open.
“Shh…. Go back to bed, baby," Joel whispered in her ear, "Just… go back to sleep for me.”
She was laying in Joel’s sleeping bag with him, his arms wrapped around her tightly, her head resting on his chest.
She hummed, “mmm… but…”
She could feel his smile, “None of that. Sleep, sweetheart. I’ll be here when you wake up. I always am.”
Surprisingly, Ellie was the first one to wake up that morning. She sat up, craning her neck to check for her companions.
And God, she wished she had a camera.
The two were wrapped in each other’s embrace, Joel’s soft snores echoing.
They were just two fucking idiots in love.
And Ellie made it her mission to get them together by the end of the trip.

Irrevocably Yours
Astarion x Durge! Y/N - drabble - 1.1K WC
Masterlist
Warnings: mention of SA on reader, nothing too graphic, hurt/comfort, Astarion being himself (aka sweet af because that man is SOFT and I will die on that hill), in my feels big time, Durge reader!
---------------------------
You rushed to camp, the brush and trees scraping at your skin. You clutched your shirt together, tears streaming down your face. You finally saw camp, sprinting the rest of the way. The sun was long gone from the sky but you could see that everyone was still awake.
“Astarion?” you yelled when you didn’t immediately see him. Your voice was watery and weak. Your eyes were frantically looking around for him. Your cheeks were stained with tears that never ceased to fall.
Astarion heard the urgency in your voice and your erratic heart beat, he threw his book down and rushed out of his tent. “Darling?” he said.
As soon as your eyes found him your sobs intensified as you rushed into his arms. He held you tightly as you nuzzled into him. Your head rested in the crook of his neck, he felt your tears hit his skin and his heart broke.
“My sweet, what happened? What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” he gently pulled you away, just enough to see your face while still keeping you in his arms.
Your glossy eyes searched his before glancing at his tent. He looked around, noticing your campmates giving you both concerning looks. He held your hands as he moved you both into his tent to gain some privacy. He sat down but you immediately shuffled into his lap, holding him close. Your fists were tightly grasping his shirt.
Astarion looked down at you, wiping your tears away. That's when he noticed your shirt. He gently moved it a bit, noticing the buttons were ripped off. He noticed the top two buttons to your pants were also undone. If his heart was still beating it would be racing.
“My love, can you tell me what happened?” he said gently.
“I… I d-didn’t realize h-how late it was…” your voice was shaking, you were terrified and he knew it. “I was trying to find the password for the door to get to the murder tribunal… the alleyway was so dark… so, so dark.” he could see the pain in your eyes as you went on. “A man… a worshiper of Bhaal… he was outside… he pushed me against the wall… I couldn’t move…”
“Did he touch you?” Astarion asked as delicately as he could. You knew what he was referring to.
You let out a sob, before nodding slightly. “He… he ripped my shirt open… and - and he put his hand down my pants.” you curled into him, you felt shame even though you knew it wasn’t your fault. None of this was.
“Did he…” Astarion’s eyes looked into yours with the utmost sympathy.
You shook your head, “I - I didn’t know what to do… I - I used… I became… the slayer.” you looked down. You swore you would never use it. Bhaal had “gifted” you the heinous form when you killed your sister, Orin. It disgusted you to your core, if you felt anything you felt shame about using Bhaal’s gift.
“You did the right thing.” Astarion said as he cradled your head, rocking you back and forth slightly. “Did you kill him?” he asked.
“No… he ran off… I was scared to death… all I wanted was to come home… come to you.” You held Astarion’s cheek, searching his eyes for something unknown.
Astarion nodded at you, “Let’s get you changed and go to sleep, alright?”
You nodded, wanting nothing more than to slip away. You bathed alone, Astarion standing watch at the front of the tent per your request. You changed alone as well before beckoning him back inside.
He handed you a small green vial, “To help you sleep.” he said gently. He laid down with you. You curled up against him, wanting him as close as possible. You fell asleep quickly after downing the bitter liquid. Astarion connected his parasite to yours, you stirred slightly but remained asleep. He felt your panic, your terror as he watched the scene unfold before his eyes. But he found what he wanted, the man's face.
He snuck out of the tent, a murderous mission in mind.
-----------------------------
You woke to the birds chirping. The warmth from the sun radiating inside the tent. You rolled over to see Astarion discarding a blood drenched shirt. His pale chest was covered in crimson, along with his hands. His face had spatters here and there. You sat up slowly. “What happened?”
“I cleansed the rot.” Astarion said, sounding like the kind myconid from the Underdark.
You knew exactly what he meant and for the first time since that man held you against the wall, you felt the clench in your stomach relax. You beckoned him over, holding your hand out.
He kneeled in front of you. “I don’t want to touch you… not with him on me.”
You held his face, leaning your forehead against his as you nodded. You kissed him hesitantly, scared it would take you right back to that alleyway. But it didn’t. All you felt was immense love and gratitude for your lover. “Thank you.” you whispered. Astarion kissed you again before pulling back.
“I’m going to wash. When I come back we are not leaving this tent for the day. We can do whatever you like, my sweet.” he tilted your chin up slightly. You gave him a small smile. You knew it would take time to process and heal but you couldn’t ask for a more understanding partner. You knew for a fact he would never pressure you and would always be there to comfort you through thick and thin.
Astarion started to fill the small tub. “May I stay?” you asked.
Astarion nodded, smiling at you as he handed you one of his clean shirts. He knew you liked wearing his clothes since they were oversized and breathable. You slipped it on before rolling the sleeves up and shimmying out of your pants. You tied the tent entrance shut before picking up a stool and setting it behind the tub. Astarion’s head leaned back, a quizzical look on his face. You started massaging his scalp. He let out a sigh, loving your gentle touch. You washed his hair as he cleaned the blood off himself. When you finished you placed delicate kisses over his neck and shoulders. You leaned your head on his shoulder as you wrapped your arms around him loosely, giving him a back hug.
“What is it darling?” he said.
“I’m just… grateful.” you said simply.
He leaned back further, “I love you.” he whispered before pulling you in by the chin to kiss him.
“I love you.” you said back before leaning on him again. The simple fact of him being with you. His soft touches that never scared you. Everything about the man in front of you. He is your everything, your heart was irrevocably his. And you would have it no other way.

Tumblr media
He couldn't explain it.
After coming out of the shrine of Resurrection, he had felt...lost. Like a shattered vase with too many pieces missing to have any hope of being put back together. He was no longer the knight that Zelda boasted around- that Link died in the shrine over a century ago- even if it didn't stop her from parading him around like a show pony. He wasn't a champion of old, Revali was right about one thing. He was just...Link. Link of Hateno, who lived on the outskirts of the small village. Who came into town every once in while for supplies. Who otherwise kept to himself, but remained friendly, as long as his companion was happy.
The village couldn't quite place what you meant to him, but that was fine. He knew what you meant to him. You were his Goddess. His reason for living. You kept him sane. You saw his shatter pieces and decided they were worth it. You saw his jagged edges and razor sharp features and soothed them all with a gentle hand and graceful words. You placed yourself firmly in his life without any intentions of leaving. He wouldn't let you leave anymore anyway.
Not when you had made such an impact in his life. Not when you put value in something he saw as worthless. Not when you put your entire trust into believing he could be someone worthy of your love. How could he let something like you, such a blessing, go? He couldn't.
And what better way to keep him tied to you by doing everything you asked of him? Want him to slay an entire monster camp? Elementary. Want him to go, venture out into the wilderness just to hunt this incredibly rare animal? Done. Want to sit on his face and choke him with your thighs? You better be ready to suffocate him because he's not coming out until your coming undone over top of him. Wanna ride his thighs? He's sitting prim and proper for you. Want to tie him up in satin ribbons to use for your own desires?
Just tell him when.
Anything to keep you happy. So when you came up to him, asking him so nicely to breed you, to fill you up, who was he to say no?
So he didn't.
Honestly, what better way to tell everyone you were his, and his alone than to fatten you up with his child? To make you round and plump with his seed. To tie you to him for the rest of your lives.
There was no better way he realized.
Sure he could paint your neck and back and chest and thighs in bitemarks and bruises in his own signature color, singing his name on you in his own unique way. Sure he could put the fattest, prettiest rock he could mine on your finger, watching as you wore it with pride. Sure he could that all.
But none of it quite painted you as his as a child did. An absolute precious little being a perfect mix of the two of you. He could see it now. And absolute angel with your hair and nose, maybe his eyes and ears. Filled with his trademark sense of curiosity, only to be paired with a healthy sense of caution you would instill in them.
Would you want an entire Litter of children to trample along your feet? Or maybe just two or three to focus your attention to carry your legacy? Or perhaps just one perfect mix of you two to shape into the best person this world had to offer.
Didn't matter. He would give you anything and everything you wanted.
Right now? You wanted to be filled.
And he would comply, tearing your tunic and bottoms from your body and pinning you to the dining room table. One hand kept your chest to the table, pushing between your shoulder blades as he freed himself with a single hand. Your whines and please, all but begging for him to breed you, fill you, start your family right then and there ignited a fiery inferno underneath of him, just aching to make your dreams come true.
Anything to keep you tied to him.
His grip was practically bruising as he pulled your hips to meet his with every thrust, ensuring the head of his cock kissed your cervix with every plunge. It had you crying out for him over and over again, tears pearling in your eyes. He cooed at your trembling form, leaning over you without loosing tempo to thumb away your tears. He kissed your cheeks, temples, anywhere he could reach really, letting the one hand left holding your hips drift to fiddle with your clit. He circled it in steady circles, making the tears come back as you jutted against him, thighs twitching wildly.
"Shh, that's it wildflower, just let me take care of you. Leave everything to me. I'll fill you up so nicely, you'll have no choice but to carry our child. In no time at all, you'll be all round and gorgeous, telling everyone you're mine. All mine."
You came with with a hard cry, milking him for what you desperately craved. And if you wanted it, he'd give it to you. The one hand that was gently brushing your tears away snaked between your body and the table, gently cupping your throat so he could pull you against his chest while the other one returned to your hips. He pulled you flush against him, biting into your neck with a muted growl as he emptied into your womb.
But that wouldn't be enough. No. he wouldn't be satisfied until you were nothing but a brainless little thing, trusting him to breed you, and even then, one more wouldn't hurt, would it?
You'd get the child you wanted. He'd make sure of it.

Camping Love
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi guys :)
This one is based on this request, I hope everyone will like it :) First time writing for Lia, but she's like the sweetest girl ever, so enjoy :)
Resume : Your girlfriend take you camping in Switzerland.
TW : None.
______________________________________________________________
You were not surprised when Lia proposed to you to go camping. You know how much she loves being outside. She can pass hours picking up leaves in her garden, walking tirelessly in the forest and simply enjoy the fresh air whenever she has the opportunity. It's therefore no surprise to anyone that her choice of home was a small house set back from the city, close to nature. Even if it lengthens her journey to work every day.
You’re not a footballer, it’s actually Leah Williamson who played matchmaker between you two. After Lia's break-up, the blonde made the decision to present her the one she imagined perfect for her, not wishing that her friend suffers again. It just so happens that one of her childhood friends was back in town, single after a recent breakup. You.
Things with Lia took a little time to set up, both suspicious to open her heart to another person again. You must admit that you have longly tested the sincerity of the Swiss girl, but her unfailing patience and honesty have finally convinced you. Apart from all the other qualities that qualify her, obviously. Leah has already proclaimed herself the First Lady of your possible future marriage, and that amuses you very much. You know you owe her a lot.
"Should we settle here?" Lia suggests, looking around.
You do the same before nodding. You’ve been wandering around the Bernese mountains all day and the place you’re in is pretty good. There is no one around, a small lake to refresh yourself and the view is especially breathtaking.
You were never one to camp before meeting Lia, but she showed you that it could be more than just sleeping on the ground in a tent that can’t hold the cold. So you watch her build the tent with expertise, proud and surprised to discover her talents as an architect. She turns around and catches you looking at her butt, smiling at you.
"I did nothing" you justify while raising both hands.
"Exactly" she laughs gently before pointing at her backpack with a nod. "Get our stuff out please."
You smile maliciously and obey, taking out what she asks you. You also say her that you will write to Leah to inform her that you are still alive, the captain being convinced that you will be eaten by a bear.
"She's so dramatic. There are no bears here, only wolves."
"Huh?"
Eyes wide open, you raise your head towards Lia who bursts with laughter. You can’t tell if she’s laughing or not, but you don’t know if you really want to know.
"I’ll tell Leah to come get me."
Lia laughs again, but she managed to set up your tent in the meantime. You take care of inflating the mattresses and let her manage the rest, realizing your uselessness. But the Swiss captain doesn't seem to be bothered by this in the least, a smile never leaving her lips.
"A little bath now?"
You accept with pleasure, changing quickly to put on the swimsuit that your girlfriend advised you to take. The water is icy, but after walking all day it does make your leg muscles feel good. You do sports, but in a much less advanced way than Lia and you are therefore less accustomed than her to intense muscle fatigue.
The next game is to see which of the two gets the most wet and you can happily announce that you are the winner.
And the rock you slipped on has absolutely nothing to do with it.
"Are you ok?" asks Lia, smiling when you return to the tent.
You nod, without being able to mask your teeth that snap in spite of you. You are frozen. You don’t fool the beautiful eyes of Lia, who takes you against her to lay a kiss on your forehead.
"Go change, I’ll light a fire."
You accept happily, quickly getting rid of your wet swimsuit to put on clean and dry clothes. The outfit you opt for is not the sexiest, you come out with sneakers, a pair of jogging pants with the Swiss national team crest that you clearly stole from Lia and a hoodie. You also folded the hood on head to protect you from the cold.
When you reach Lia, the fire cracks lazily, the noise immediately bringing a comforting side. The heat that emanates too. You sit next to it, letting your girlfriend go change too. Even if you grumble a little for form, you really appreciate the place in which you find yourself. And being able to have Lia just for you for a few days suits you very well. You went to her family before coming camping and there are other people to see after. Fortunately, each member of her family seems to accept with open arms.
"Hello you" you whisper softly when she comes back to you, passing your arm around her waist.
"Why do I feel like I know this pants?" Lia say with an amused smile, stroking the patch with her fingertips.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Lia laughs softly and it makes you smile. A look is exchanged between you two, who do not need to utter a word. You just hold her tight, let her put her head on your shoulder. You both get lost in your thoughts, watching the sun disappear behind the mountain in front of you.
"Are you still cold?" Lia gently asks after a few minutes.
Instead of answering, you slip your icy fingers under her clothes with an evil smile. The good news is that the cry that escapes from Lia’s lips has undoubtedly helped to scare away all the wildlife around you. The bad news is you were tortured to tickles for long minutes after that.

As You Wish, Chapter 9
Tumblr media
Summary: When arriving at Camp Silver Star, Abby Floyd was anticipating a summer of adventure with an ocean separating her from the three people she loved most: her mom, her Uncle Bob and her Aunt Natasha. But after a run in with Charlie Seresin, an extremely familiar looking and irritating camper in a different cabin, her summer plans take a turn that neither girl ever could have expected.
Trigger Warnings: reader's children are described as being blond with green eyes because genetics are wild and Jake's genes are strong, reader is canonically Bob's sister (but biological relation is never discussed), reader goes by Buttercup and is tattooed, poor military references, references to cancer and chemotherapy, cursing, preteen shenanigans, anxiety
Tumblr media
32nd Street Naval Station, 13 years ago
Jake’s gulp was the only movement he made as he lined up amongst the other aviators and sailors, on solid ground again for the first time in six months. It was sweltering hot in San Diego and even the lightweight material of his khaki uniform did nothing to prevent the sweat from dripping down his neck. All he wanted was to get changed into some shorts and a t-shirt and grab a beer at the Hard Deck, knowing he would be reuniting with the other members of Dagger Squad after half a year away.
He, Javy, Bob and Phoenix had been deployed together, thank god, but he was anxious to see everyone else, a thought that would have rocked him back on his heels even a year ago. He still wasn’t known as the greatest team player they had, but he had surprised even himself when he had bonded with the other aviators he was stationed at Top Gun with. Payback’s wife had been expecting when they left, Fanboy’s mom going through chemo, while Rooster was left to run training simulations with Maverick, and Jake wanted to hear about all of it.
Yet, he was left standing in formation as those around him started to disperse, their family members and friends tapping them out. Jake allowed himself a little sigh as he saw people searching left and right for their loved ones. Once upon a time, his parents would have made the journey out to release him from his duties, but they were older and more hesitant to fly now. He knew his grandfather would have made the trip from Texas, but he hadn’t even mentioned it to the man. Jake straightened his shoulders. Hopefully, Javy’s mama had made the trip. Auntie Thea loved Jake almost as much as he loved her, and he knew that she would tap him out if she saw him standing there.
His shoulders almost drooped when Stella, the tattoo artist Javy had been seeing for a few weeks before deployment, approached and nearly tackled his best friend. Shit. There went that plan. Natasha’s sister had already tapped her out, the two of them smiling back at him teasingly as they strolled away, leaving Jake and Bob standing there amongst the other crewmen who hadn’t been found by their loved ones. While it wasn’t necessarily a big deal, and while he knew that Nat would feel like shit and apologize if she found out he was the last one standing there on the tarmac, a heavy weight settled over his heart. There was nothing more disheartening than to realize you had nobody to welcome you home after six months at sea.
“Bobby!”
Jake almost winced. Even shy, quiet Bob Floyd had someone there who cared about him. He watched out of the corner of his eye as the woman—the beautiful woman, too beautiful for Baby On Board Floyd to be able to pull—hugged the WSO tightly, officially releasing him from his duties.
“Hey kiddo,” he heard Bob say softly, hugging the woman gently. “How’ve you been?”
“Excited to have finally finished my masters,” she shrugged. “And looking forward to getting to spend some time with my big brother before diving into the post-grad job search. So, how was it? I know you can’t tell me much, but how was it?”
Bob chuckled softly. “Let’s just say, I’m glad to be home.”
“I’m glad you’re back too,” she replied, giving him a slight nudge as he bent to pick up his gear. “So, what’s the plan for tonight?”
“I think the squad is planning on getting drinks tonight at the Hard Deck,” he offered as he shuffled his bag onto his shoulder. “They’re probably already there. Well, most of them, anyway.”
“Why most of them?” she asked as they slowly started to walk away. “Did some of your other friends get deployed too?”
Bob shook his head as they passed in front of Jake, lowering his voice. “I don’t think so. Some of us are still waiting to get tapped out, though.” Bob shot Jake an apologetic glance, and his friend followed his gaze.
“Is he one of your friends?” she asked quietly. Jake’s eyes strained against the sunlight as he stared dead ahead, trying to look as nonchalant as possible as the tarmac grew more and more empty.
“I guess you could say that,” Bob murmured. “That’s Hangman.”
“Ohhh…” Jake could almost imagine the dawning of realization on the woman’s face as she remembered the less than flattering stories Bob had undoubtedly shared with her. “I’ll be right back.”
Jake blinked as the woman appeared right in front of him, smiling softly. “Do you not have anyone to tap you out, Hangman?” she asked quietly, eyes soft and bright. Jake couldn’t bring himself to look away. “Oh right, you’re not supposed to break formation or talk or anything until you’re tapped out, right?” She placed a warm hand on Jake’s shoulder, and he allowed himself to relax. “There. That’s better.”
“Thank you, ma’am,” he murmured, bending to grab his bag.
Bob stepped closer. “Hangman, this is my sister.”
She rolled her eyes and offered him her hand, stating her name with a smile. “I’m pretty sure introducing me as his sister was supposed to be some sort of warning for you not to mess with me,” she whispered slyly to him, sticking her tongue out at her brother as he sighed.
“I would never, ma’am,” he smirked over at Bob and lowered his head over her hand, kissing the warm, silky skin softly.
“I already regret everything,” Bob muttered as the three started walking towards the parking lot.
She grinned at him, and Jake felt something inside himself stir. It wasn’t often that the mere sight of a pretty smile gave him that feeling in his chest, but something about Bob Floyd’s sister smiling at him made his heart feel like he had just run back-to-back marathons.
“So, Hangman, do you have a ride to this Hard Deck place?” she asked as they approached a rental convertible.
He found himself smiling back at her. Not his signature smirk or his flirty grin, but an actual Seresin Smile. “No, ma’am, I don’t. And please, call me Jake.”
“Jake…” the sound of his name on her lips made something in his brain short out, and he found himself wanting to get to know everything he could about this woman beside him.
The dopey smile on his face must have given him away because Bob groaned again. “I really regret everything.”

Hotel Zaza, Downtown Austin, Texas, Now
The days after their Zoom call had been hectic, to say the least. Bob had been able to coordinate flights that would put them in Austin Friday night, so they could be ready for their meeting on Saturday afternoon. Rooster had kept in contact with Natasha and given her the name of the hotel that Savannah had insisted they stay at, because it was her number one choice for a wedding venue. Buttercup’s agent had been able to get them adjoining rooms in the hotel, pulling the ‘fairly famous and well-off author’ card when the hotel had balked at the last-minute reservation.
Charlie was immensely grateful for her aunt and uncle organizing their trip, because she had spent the days between the call and the flight getting to know her mother, as Charlie this time, not as Abby. It was even more wonderful than getting to know her the first time, and she felt a bit silly about her fears that her mother wouldn’t love her if she wasn’t Abby. If anything, Buttercup’s adoration for her had only grown once Charlie had started acting more like herself. They had spent the whole flight to Texas chatting and giggling, watching old movies and sharing stories about their lives. By the time they disembarked in Texas, Charlie felt even closer to her mother than she had before.
Now, however, she was seeing a brand-new side to her mother, one that she wasn’t even sure Abby had seen before.
Buttercup’s hands were folded tightly under her chin as she surveyed the contents of her suitcase, her weight was shifting back and forth, and her breath was coming in short gasps.
“I-I don’t see why it matters what I wear, Nat,” she murmured, her wide eyes scanning over the clothes that had been neatly tucked into her rose gold case. “It’s just my ex-husband, his new fiancée, and my daughter.”
“Because it’s your ex-husband,” Nat replied with an eye roll. “Pull a Princess Di and revenge dress the shit out of him!”
“Language,” Buttercup murmured, though there was no real heat behind the warning. “It doesn’t matter anyway, Nat.”
“Then why’re you shaking in your boots?”
Buttercup backed up and slumped into one of the armchairs in the suite. The room was sheer opulence, large and clean and beautiful in a way that Charlie had never seen before. She had to hand it to her, Savannah sure knew how to pick her potential venues.
“Because I haven’t seen him for over a decade and he stopped answering my calls about the custody arrangement and now he’s getting married to someone who is arguably way too young for him and here I am, still single and unable to recognize that our daughters swapped places!”
Natasha sighed, but Charlie stepped in front of her mother before her aunt could say anything. “It’s going to be okay, mom,” she said. “Abby and I will be there, and so will Uncle Bob and Auntie Nat, and Uncle Roo and Uncle Javy.”
Buttercup chuckled tearily. “Look at you, Charlie. Talking me down.” She sniffled. “I’m sorry, honey. I need to pull myself together. You don’t need to be parenting me.”
Charlie giggled. “I’m not. I’m just telling you what you told me when I was freaking out about the lecture I’m probably gonna get from Dad.”
Buttercup giggled and pulled Charlie into a hug. “I love you, baby.”
“I love you too, mom,” Charlie pulled away. “Why don’t you pick something that makes you feel good to wear? That way you feel confident when you see dad again?”
Buttercup grinned. “I like the way you think, honey.”
Standing up, Buttercup moved to her suitcase and dug around, eventually pulling out a lacy green dress with a gold chain belt.
“I wore this to my first book signing,” Buttercup grinned. “Forest Windows won a Women’s Prize for Fiction that year, and I’ve considered it my lucky dress ever since.”
“I think it’s perfect,” Charlie smiled.
Nat grinned. “It’s no LBD, but you look hot in it, and that’s all that matters.”
Buttercup rolled her eyes and stepped into the bathroom. “Thanks, Nat. I’m going to shower and get dressed. Did your father text you to say that he had arrived yet?”
Charlie shook her head. “No…he didn’t. I’ll check in with Abby and see what their ETA is.”
“Sounds good,” Buttercup smiled, the tug of her lips still strained but not as stressed. “I’ll be out in a bit.”
Once the door had clicked shut and they could hear the water running, Natasha turned on her.
“Your dad still has no idea, right?”
Charlie nodded quickly. “Abby, Javy, and Rooster have kept him and Savannah in the dark. Dad still thinks he’s with me, and he has no idea that we’re waiting for him here.”
Natasha nodded grimly. “Your mom’s gonna be in there for a bit, hyping herself up. What’s Abby’s ETA?”
“They’re five minutes out,” Charlie confirmed, checking her phone again to check Abby’s shared location.
“Okay. You go down and meet up with Abby, away from where your dad can see you, okay?”
Charlie rolled her eyes. “Yeah, I know, Auntie Nat. That was my part of the plan.”
Natasha playfully shuddered. “You’ve got so much of Hangman’s attitude in you, it’s spooky sometimes. I’ll go let your uncle know to keep your mom occupied in the room until we give him the signal, then I’ll head down and be ready to run interference if I have to. Ready?”
Charlie’s heart leapt. “Ready.”
Tumblr media
“…and then we have a meeting with the florist at 4 pm, and they’re a high-class place, so no mucky cowboy boots and jeans, okay, Jakey?”
Abby held back her gag as Savannah droned on about her wedding itinerary. She had been talking about it since they left the ranch over 3 hours ago. What should have been a 2-hour drive at most had stretched on because Savannah had to keep getting out and taking pictures to ‘document the experience’, and each time, Abby had to control her eye roll. It wasn’t worth it, and, besides, there were three things keeping her Zen.
1. She’d promised her dad that she would try to be accepting of Savannah. As upset as she and Charlie were about how he had handled things, and as much as Savannah turned her stomach, she wanted her dad to be happy, so she had agreed to grin and bear it for the duration of the visit.
2. Rooster and Javy were there, and while Rooster might have fallen asleep within minutes of hitting the road, Javy was awake and keeping her entertained with dramatic eye rolls and faux gagging every time Savannah opened her mouth. She wasn’t sure if her father had caught on to their antics or not, but Abby was sure having a good time.
And, most importantly, 3. Her family was waiting for them at the hotel. She would finally get to hug her mother and tease her aunt and uncle about all the stories Javy and Rooster had filled her in on.
Jake sighed and pulled into the parking lot of the hotel. “Yes, Savannah. I promise I will be dressed appropriately.”
“Thank you, sugar,” Savannah flounced and exited the car, leaving her two suitcases for her fiancé to unload.
“Dude, I—”
“I know what you’re about to say, Coyote, but don’t. Okay? Just…don’t start.”
Rooster yawned and sat up. “Sure, Hangman. Whatever you say. C’mon, kid. Let’s let your dad and Javy deal with the suitcases while we go check out the pool.”
“Is that okay, dad?”
Jake smiled tiredly and waved his hand at them. “Yeah, you two go have fun. I’ll catch you for dinner, which we are having with Savannah’s parents, okay?”
Abby smiled through her held back groan. “You got it, dad. See you in a bit!”
Grabbing Rooster’s hand, Abby practically dragged him through the lobby and into the elevator.
“Abby says they’re in room 513,” she said excitedly, and watched as her uncle jabbed the round elevator button with an elegant 5 painted on it.
“Are you sure Javy will be able to keep it together?” he asked her as the glass elevator sped upwards. “Dude’s been acting jumpy since we left.”
“He wouldn’t dare tell dad anything! He was trained just the same as you were, Uncle Roo. I’m sure he can keep it together for a little longer.”
The elevator came to a rest on the fifth floor and Abby practically sprinted through the slowly opening doors, hanging a right and skidding to a stop at room 513.
“Here goes!” Abby chirped as she knocked on the door. Her heart leapt as the door creaked open, revealing Bob, his phone pressed to his ear.
He smiled brightly when he saw her, and held up a long finger. “Yeah…yeah, I’ll call you back when I can, okay? Okay…me too. Bye.” He tapped the red button and crouched, Abby falling into his arms. “Hey kiddo.”
Abby’s chest expanded as she clutched her uncle. “Uncle Bob, I missed you so much!”
“I missed you too, kiddo.”
He stood, Abby still hanging onto his neck as he nodded over her shoulder at Rooster.
“Bradshaw.”
Rooster nodded back. “How’s it going, Bob? Where’s Nat and Charlie?”
“Downstairs, keeping a lookout for you.”
Rooster nodded as Bob finally put Abby down and reached out to shake his hand.
“We must’ve just missed ‘em,” Rooster mused, watching Abby as she ducked around Bob to glance around the room.
“Where’s Mum?”
“She’s in the adjoining room, kiddo. She might be having a bit of a panic attack right now, but I’m sure the sight of you will calm her down.”
Abby grinned up at the two men and bolted over to the door, tearing it open with a loud call of “Mum! It’s me!”
Bob chuckled as Rooster shook his head. “And I thought Charlie was high energy.”
Bob nodded as he pocketed his phone. “She is. I guess they both are.”
Rooster nodded and leaned back against the closed door, a heavy silence weighing over the two men. Once upon a time, they had been friends, allies, partners. Now, they were little more than strangers, two people roped into a scheme by two preteens.
“So, Nat’s downstairs?”
Bob nodded. “She and Charlie are trying to find a way to separate Hangman from this fiancée of his. Is she really as bad as Abby is making it out to be?”
Rooster shuddered. “Remember all the girls who would hang around the Hard Deck and try to flirt with anyone in a uniform?”
Bob nodded gravely, his skin crawling at the memory. “I do.”
“Savannah is about twenty times worse than that. Javy can’t stand her either.”
Bob blinked. “Is Javy downstairs too?”
Rooster nodded. “Yeah, why?”
“Do you think it’s a good idea to have him and Nat bump into each other downstairs?”
Rooster’s eyes widened, but, before he could speak, Abby raced back into the room. “Uncle Bob, Mum’s not in there.”
Bob blinked again. “Are you sure?”
Abby rolled her eyes. “Of course I’m sure, Uncle Bob.”
Bob’s cellphone was back in his hand, pressed to his ear after a quick dial. “Yeah, it’s me. Where are you? I thought you were still getting ready?...Really? Buttercup—” Bob pulled the phone away from his ear and stared at it. “She hung up on me.”
“What did she say?”
“She went to go get a steamer from the lobby for her dress. She didn’t want to wear something wrinkled.”
“And she couldn’t have gotten someone to deliver it to the room?”
Bob shrugged at Rooster’s question. “She probably needed some air.”
It was Abby’s turn to dig her phone out of her pocket and dial. “Charlie? Yes, we’re here with Uncle Bob, but Mum is heading down to the lobby right now! You and Auntie Nat need to run interference!”

👀 Astarion eating someone out on their period?
I added Wyll, Karlach and Shadowheart after we talked about this, hope you enjoy! I had Halsin here but told him he needed to get to the back of the line because he’s already too much on my mind.
Warnings: Period, Period Sex, Sex, Sexual Situations, Oral Sex, Reader has a Vagina, Blood, Mild Blood Kink, Mild Squeamishness Around Blood, Teasing, Multiple Orgasms, Overstimulation
Astarion:
He teases you all week and you want to scream. Astarion has a horrible habit of pinching you while you travel but this is much worse. He’ll lean over you, almost rub against you to get you to move. He inhales deeply and sighs, kissing your cheek before sauntering off. It takes you four days to crack; you corner him outside camp and ask what his problem is. Astarion is clear that you smell divine and he wants to eat you out, right here right now. If you accept you barely get a chance to breath; he’s on his knees and ripping into your pants.
He acts like he hasn’t eaten all week and to him it’s true. Nothing can compare to your blood on a good day but this? This is something completely different. This blood isn’t as sweet as from your neck but it has an undertone Astarion can’t get enough of. He hikes your legs over his shoulders, pushing you against the nearest rock or tree, he’s not picky. You feel like you’re halfway to cumming by the wild look in his eyes but Astarion is never one to disappoint.
You feel like you can’t breathe between orgasms, they come so fast. Astarion doesn’t need to breathe and he takes full advantage of it now, face buried in your cunt. His tongue in everywhere; inside, on your labia, on your clit. He never stops moving, never stops stroking and it drives you wild. You’ll have to beg to get him to stop, fingers tangled in his hair as you pull. He almost doesn’t, looking up and seeing the tears gathered in your eyes but pulls himself together. There’s always next month.
Karlach:
Karlach doesn’t give two shits you’re bleeding. It’s completely normal and even if you’re shy about it she’s not. She’s been waiting ten years to fuck, a little blood isn’t going to stop her. She doesn’t push you into anything of course but Karlach isn’t shy in letting you know she’s still very interested. You do your best to pretend that you haven’t been thinking about her offer all day but eventually you cave and swing by her tent. She’s over the moon you trust her and want to fuck. She’s not going to disappoint.
She wants you to ride her face. Is she going to get even messier? Fuck yeah. And she’s into it. The taste of blood doesn’t bother her and it’s the perfect angle to watch you fall apart. Usually, you’re shy about putting your full weight on her but right now you can’t help yourself. You hold onto her horns and just let her get to work, moaning and cursing. She loves sucking hard on your clit, the way your mouth falls open and the moans, gods, who knew her name could be that sexy.
Karlach isn’t going to stop until you ask her to. Or until you fall off. Which happens shortly after she rolls your clit between her lips and squeezes your ass. She almost doesn’t catch you when you start to sway, arms reaching up to catch you. She laughs at the look on your face, moving you so you can lay down. She goes to kiss you without thinking, only realizing halfway there that maybe you don’t want to. She’ll be excited if you do kiss her but isn’t bummed if you don’t. You will have to push her to clean up but it’s not hard; if you’re willing to return the favor she’s clean in record time.
Wyll:
Wyll isn’t going to notice on his own that you’re horny. He knows that you’re bleeding and gets whatever you ask for without complaint. He’s been bringing you your favorite food, making sure your tent is warm and generally being so charming it hurts. The others tease him for being a knight in shining armor but he loves being your hero. It’s only when he offers to give you a back massage to help with your sore muscles that he puts two and two together. You’re quiet until he gets to your lower back and the moan you give makes him freeze. Once you explain, a little embarrassed, what’s going on he’s more than willing to help you.
The blood does make him pause, mostly because he’s afraid of hurting you. Assure him that orgasming will help and he’s all in. Wyll is never going to mention that he dislikes the taste of blood because the look on your face when he licks at your skin is enough to get him hard in an instant. He focuses on your clit, half because you like it and half because it has less blood. He’ll use his fingers to massage your entrance, smirking a little as you get wetter.
He wants to drag this out and make you feel good. For someone who doesn’t like blood he’s invested. Wyll alternates from fingering you and flicking against your clit, stopping once you get close. You have to beg him to cum and he’ll smile and say ‘of course love’ before sucking on your clit so hard you see stars. His fingers work you through until you stop shaking and he goes to get water, making sure to clean you up. He’ll only kiss you if you give him permission, holding you close. Wyll loves that you feel good and waves off any attempts to help him get off; he just wants to hold you.
Shadowheart:
She desperately wants to tease you but holds herself back. You’ve been on edge all week and when she mentioned blowing off steam together, you looked like you could cry. You’re almost ashamed admittance that you’re on your blood moon makes her want to laugh but she doesn’t. Shadowheart does smirk at the shocked look on your face when she still offers to eat you out; a little blood isn’t going to deter her.
She loves that you’re more sensitive than normal, squirming and whining under her. Shadowheart has no problems pinning you to the ground, arms heavy on your thighs as she gets to work. The taste of blood isn’t as strong as she had assumed and it’s easy to get used to. It only takes a few long strokes of her tongue before your pushing towards her mouth and she nips you in warning.
You cum quickly but it’s hard to feel any embarrassment when Shadowheart doesn’t stop. She changes the hard sucks on your clit to trace your entrance, humming against your skin. You don’t have the will power to push her off and she smiles, leaving bloody kisses on your thighs. She won’t deny you if you get the courage to ask for another round, although she will tease you. Watching your face relax in pleasure is something she wants to see as much as possible. She’ll worry about the clean up later.

Ember in Your Hands
Jake Sully x Neytiri x Fem!Reader
—-
a/n: i hope you all enjoy!!
warnings: swearing, mentions of death, tell me if i missed anything!!
Chapter Five- Family
—-
“Ow!” Neteyam shouts, and you peek inside the tent. Everyone is gathered around, while Kiri and Mo’at apply and mix pastes for Neteyam’s wounds.
You can faintly hear Spider tease him, Kiri challenge her grandmother. You smile, before the magazine of Jake’s gun clicks back into place, and you’re snapped out of the moment.
Neytiri comes and stands next to you, so her arm runs along yours, her tail winding around your own. The two of you watch them for a few more moments, your children, your family, before Jake lets out a small sigh.
“What?” he asks.
Neytiri stands talker. “Neteyam and Lo’ak try to live up to you.” She breathes in deeply, before turning. “It is very hard on them.”
“I know,” he says, but you are not convinced. Neytiri walks toward him, and you follow, a million speeches in your head, a war. Neytiri kneels in front of him.
“You are very hard on them.” His gun makes another loud snap, and he tilts his head towards the two of you.
“I’m their father. It’s my job.”
“Jake…” you sigh, watching Neytiri bite her lower lip. You sit next to him, and he doesn’t make any move to touch you like he normally would, so you place your hand on his shoulder. “This is a family, my love. This isn’t another squadron for you to command. Being a father is a hard job — you have to blend the tough love with actual love.”
Jake turns away from you.
“I do love them,” he hisses. He clenched his jaw for a moment, before adjusting his gun, and turning to you with wide eyes. “I thought we lost them.”
Neytiri’s face drops, and you can feel yours do the same. She places her hand on his knee, and you lean up to kiss his cheek.
His skin is rough from the dried war paint he’s yet to wipe off.
He stares in between the two of you as you lick your thumb again, and wipe his cheek until your thumb turns turquoise blue.
—-
You tilt your head to the side, press your ear to Neytiri’s shoulder for some relief from the wind. It whips around you, especially since Neytiri’s ikran is much faster than yours.
It’s odd, to be flying like this without your ikran below you. The air is empty without her calls, the leathery skin between your legs different.
But, your ikran is getting over a tear in his wing, one she sustained from the sharp rock walls of High Camp. It’s better to let her rest, especially for such menial things like this.
Instead, you watch Jake as he stares straight ahead, cutting through the wind like a bullet.
You think about what he said last night, about how he thought you had lost them. You never had a father, not even memories, or anything close to it. You don’t know how to help Jake navigate this new part in your life. You know how to be a mother, you learned from Grace and from your own instincts.
You look behind you to Neteyam, making sure he’s still there. His eyes meet yours, and he gives you a small smile, before your earpiece blares with Lo’ak’s voice.
“Devil Dog, this is Eagle Eye, over.”
“Eagle Eye, send your traffic,” Jake responds.
“I’ve got eyes on some guys… they look like Avatars. But they’re in full camo and carrying AR’s. There are six of them, over.”
Your heart jumps up to your throat, and you can hear Neytiri’s breath speed up.
You frown. There is a million possibilities, you tell yourself. You just have to hope it is not the worst one.
“What’s your pos, over?” Jake asks.
“Uh… we’re at the old shack.”
You bite back a hiss. The three of you had been adamant that they should never go there, or anywhere near there.
Then, you realize what he said.
“We?” Jake asks, voice laced with concern. “Who’s we?”
“Me, Spider, Kiri…” Silence for one heartbeat. “And Tuk.”
Neytiri gasps and turns to Jake, and you tighten your arms around her.
Jake turns towards the two of you, his lips pressed together in a tight line. Neytiri swerves around a tower of rock.
“Son, you listen to me very carefully. Pull back right now. Do not make a s sound. Get the hell out of there. Move, copy?”
“Yes, sir, moving out.”
A few harsh wing flaps fill the air.
“Dad!” Neteyam shouts. “I know a quick way!”
Neytiri shouts a bird call and turns swiftly, so all of you make the harsh dive down.
Now, you let the wind run past your ears, staring straight out at the approaching forest, like you can see them.
—-
Your break through the jungle canopy, colliding onto some branches far away from the shack.
Neytiri says a few words to her ikran, scratching her chin as you dismount behind her, fixing your bow on your back.
You take a step towards Jake, and his eyes cut to someone behind you.
“You stay with the ikrans,” he says.
“Dad, I’m a warrior like you. I’m supposed to fight.”
His worry for his siblings is evident. Neteyam has always put everyone else above himself, pushed aside his own feelings in favor of others.
“Neteyam,” Neytiri warns.
“I’m not gonna say it again.”
“Yes, sir,” Neteyam says, bitter.
You place your hand on his cheek quickly, before turning and following your mates.
“We just want to keep you safe,” you call, but when you look over your shoulder — he only stares at the three of you with a fury. Like he wants to be there, like he needs to.
But he is just a child, and his safety comes before his need to prove himself.

"Tsunkatse" really has everything
absolutely balls to the walls opening with aliens wrestling in an arena and finally the camera pans to the audience where B'Elanna and Chakotay are whooping and clapping because they're the dorkiest SPORTS FANS ever
"the Borg wouldn't know fun if they assimilated an amusement park"
Tom: Seven, you're just like B'Elanna, she also likes to have all her things with her at all times Seven: ??????????
Seven and Tuvok being perfectly fine with not making conversation :)
Jeffrey Combs is here
JG Hertzler is ALSO here
you forget why you love Star Trek for a hot minute and then you watch Jeri Ryan having a snark-off with Combs and Hertzler and you're like, damn it's so awesome when good actors play off of each other this well while being under frankly ridiculous amounts of alien makeup
B'Elanna and the Boyz (Harry, Chakotay and Tom) nerding out about alien wrestling together
Chakotay: you have the bridge B'Elanna: what??? so you can go see the match?? Chakotay: you told me to delegate B'Elanna, on all levels except physical: fuck you
the Doctor to Neelix: I'm sure you wouldn't want to watch something as violent and vulgar as tsunkatse [smash cut to Neelix among the audience of a tsunkatse arena]
The Rock
B'Elanna manspreading on the captain's chair :)
Seven gets a training montage with the Hirogen played by JG Hertzler and I'm like [guy who has only seen DS9] I'm getting a Martok mentoring Worf in the Dominion camp kinda vibe here
"Sorry for cutting your vacation short Captain" "🙄"
Tuvok and Seven trying to make sure the other is fine :(
Seven's face when she sees that her opponent in the death match is her new Hirogen buddy :(
Harry and B'Elanna doing literally every job on the bridge
The relief on Seven's face when she realizes she doesn't actually have to kill the Hirogen and her final conversations with Tuvok about her fears are yet again another two of those moments where I'm like 'damn I love when Trek actors put 120% into making sure these emotions are REAL'

Random question that popped into my head while watching a Tiktok:
What are your opinions on the 2004 movie’s performances? Not the blocking, not the costumes—just the singing and voices.
Mostly meeeeh.... Rocky Phantom and thin-voiced Christine is partly a directing choice, to make them easy-to-like for a younger audience. But I think the vocals are too weak, I cannot sit down and listen to the soundtrack without being annoyned.
Acting wise Emmy Rossum as Christine managed to convey the innocence, charm and lonelyness I see in the role, and she certainly looked the part. But she was never particularly believable as the grand star of the Parisian opera, which I think is a crucial point of the plot. I also think she didn't show the grand transformation most stage Christines do, where they in the middle of the second act finds their own voice and way and is ready to fight.
Gerard Butler as the Phantom should probably be thanked for hindering the role and hence the movie turning into a total camp feast. The director wanted topless, muscles, nipples, and Butler refused. He seemed to dig deeper into the character than Joel Schumacher did. Duly noted and appreciated. But I did think he lacked most of the finesse, power and danger seen in even an average stage Phantom - or Lon Chaney, for that matter. Add a heavily autotuned rock-voice just isn't my cup of tea. There were moments were I felt the rougher voice served its purpose, but I would have liked it as an effect rather than constant feature.
(directing wise, I also had issues with how they stripped him of all sense of magic, to make him so HUUUUMAAAAN... showing that the manipulation of Carlotta's voice was sue to a spray, for example, and not ventriloquism. And I haven't even mentioned the lack of a decent deformity, which also is crucial to the plot)
Patrick Wilson as Raoul was maybe the one I felt made most sense of the leads, in terms of him being a fairly classic Raoul. He sung well, he loved his Christine, he fought his battle. Maybe not wildly memorable, but towards two mellow co-stars it is probably limits to how sharp edges you may have.
Minnie Driver as Carlotta was colourful and delightfully over the top, but here - opposite of the Phantom - I missed the sense of the human underneath. She was merely a comic relief. And of course, she did not sing the part herself, former stage Carlotta Margaret Preece did, and very well.
Of the other leads I liked Simon Callow as André a lot, if only because he embodied the nervousness, the need of elegance and the peculiarity of the role. Ditto for Miranda Richardson as Madame Giry. Yeah, annoying French accent, and for mysterious reasons the only one with an accent. But she is a great actress and added just the right dose of quirk, mystery and femininity to the role that I felt this was a somewhat new portrayal. I liked it. Jennifer Ellison as Meg could have been so good if they actually used her classical ballet training to the full, but she hardly got to dance. Her sweet singing voice and very meg-esque look was fine, but I cannot NOT think of what she could have done with the role if they featured her more as a dancer. But I loved that she and Miranda Richardson looked a lot alike.
I have no memory of Firmin and Piangi. Sorry.
And while writing this I realized I probably haven't seen the movie in 10-12 years. So this is based on the memory of way back. Maybe I should see it anew. But last time I tried I loved the Auction and Overture and felt I had underestimated the 2004 movie. But somewhere in Hannibal and definitely in "Think of Me" it dawned on me that nope... and by the time of the title song and MOTN I just cannot watch it (or listen to it). So...

Watching Halo, Episode 5
Flashback time! Halsey and Keyes both on Eridanus II. Were they colonists? Stationed there? Why are they at the school? They just saw John, so clearly it’s too early to be school-shopping for Miranda’s sake. God, are they shopping for kids? Was Keyes in on it from the beginning? This school is supposed to be some idyllic Waldorf-style nature school, and I love that, but it is not OSHA-compliant.
Here in the present, they’ve set up a whole temporary base around the second artifact, which seems like an utterly terrible idea to me. Do you need this much crap to dig out one monumental rock and load it up? (I realize real scientists would want to study it in situ for 6000 years before moving on to step 2 and archeologists wouldn’t want to move it at all, but you have unstoppable aliens to deal with in this universe!) Also, was bringing Miranda out here a good idea? It seems contrary to giving her free rein while her mom is gone? I’m glad her dad’s on her side at least. John, you need to snap out of it, buddy.
Kwan and Soren stuck in the desert, bickering, when he handcuffs her and leaves her alone in the middle of the desert? Wtf, Soren?
Poor Miranda making good points and still getting sidelined by her mom and Adun the Creep. Kai is still the smartest person here. What DOES the Covenant want? I appreciate the shot of the little drone. It’s funny to think that those have gone from scifi to a toy people fly in their backyards in my lifetime. John the Master Chief spots Kai’s hair and knows what’s up instantly and is immediately an asshole about it. I adore Kai—she took one look at John removing his and instantly trusted it was a good idea, and more, it’s clear from her less-flat affect in ep1 that she’s always been closest to breaking free (even without a mystical connection to ancient alien tech). And she’s 100% dead on here, too- why the hell is she unfit, but he’s not? And good on Cortana for speaking up for her, too. John: “I can’t hear myself think.” Cortana: “I can and you’re not missing much.” HA.
I haven’t gotten into Makee’s alien politicking much, but it’s definitely interesting how they both seem to need her and yet distrust her at the same time. You raised her! But “corrupted/ going native” is a trope for a reason, I suppose. Or are there two camps of aliens here? Is she really the only being who can activate these things? Were there aliens who could do it but they’ve passed away, or is it a unique human ability? (Well, humans and whatever race created this stuff.) Where did the Covenant get its info about the tech to begin with? How accurate is what they think they know?
Kwan, meanwhile, is demonstrating her best feature—sheer determination. I cheered when she finally got free. But when is she going to go, stranded in the middle of the desert, presumably without supplies? (I mean, I assume she’s about to find the mystics, but that’s the meta-brain talking.)
Craaaaap, John’s confiding in Keyes, who immediately gives him a brush off with his “I’ll look into it personally” bs. Of course he goes straight to Parangosky and Halsey and backstabbing and manipulation ensue. They at least try to protect Miranda from all their dirty laundry, of course in a way calculated to piss her off. “Finally a parenting issue we can agree on”—what did that little jibe mean? It’s getting increasingly hard to picture Halsey as any kind of mother. Exactly what did she want to do with Miranda?
Using a laser on the artifact makes ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE, and then John just stops with a look? Is that what happened? Wtf. And of course the Covenant hear that. Great.
Just as I wonder what Miranda saw in the data, her dad walks in and takes her off the project. She immediately pegs that it’s his own dirty past that’s at stake, though how dirty I doubt she knows. Master Chief, who is at least somewhat less credulous than I gave him credit for, is getting suspicious as well. Aaaand apparently he believes in direct action, because he immediately heads over and touches the artifact. And finds out HALSEY KIDNAPPED HIM? WTF. (Is the plague story a coverup? Did she murder a whole colony to hide this???) Master Chief tries to kill her ass and I was hoping he’d manage it, but no, Cortana steps in. Rats.
A brief break back on Madrigal where Soren finds Kwan gone… and then she EMERGES FROM THE SAND AND TAKES HIM OUT. Go Kwan, that was so much smarter than just wandering the desert, well done!
The rest of the episode is the biggest battle yet. My notes just say “Oh crap OH CRAP” at the top. Seeing the ship crash was fantastic and a definite “You Are Ultra Screwed” moment. I of course laughed at Cortana giving Master Chief advice and him snapping “I know how the game is played, Cortana!” Yes, writers, you’re very cute. I once again question how many Spartans there are and why we only have four here? In this super important not-hardened base that the Covenant is actively looking for? Like, worth 100 marines each, that’s great, but getting separated and pinned down is still a problem! Especially in this area which is wide open with lousy cover!
Which of course is exactly what happens to Kai, which I choose to believe is why she went down, instead of her being overwhelmed by trauma like the Master Chief predicted while he’s just fine, just Heroically Angry. (That bit of writing annoyed me.) (Yes I know he blew it too, he just got to blow it in a way that’s very differently coded than she did.) Halsey gets her one good moment saving Miranda when I 100% expected her to leave her daughter to die. (I did think Miranda would live to be extremely screwed up about it, mind you.)
So the Covenant got away with the new artifact, crap. And they pull the exact same gambit with Makee as last time, and I have the exact same complaint. Human makeup and nice clothes and not a scratch? She does NOT look like she just escaped that ship during the chaos of battle after surviving durance vile! Like, I want a poster of her on my wall but I do NOT trust her.

ALWAYS ON MY MIND
chapter nine: a load off my mind ships: sasha/milla characters: milla, sasha, ford, oleander word count: 5867 ao3 link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/53435410/chapters/137330296
[chap 1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]
-
Whispering Rock was a very interesting place.
The valley was certainly remote - Sasha hadn’t expected to drive through the woods for almost two hours - but he couldn’t deny that it looked lovely. Oleander had done a great job, though he probably wouldn’t say as much to the man. He’d been getting enough praise for the camp already.
Sasha and Milla decided to arrive at the camp three days early in the hopes to familiarize themselves with the area and get used to the great outdoors. It’d been a long time since either of them roughed it, so to speak, and they needed to portray a good example for the children.
She was already there when Sasha arrived - her signature car sitting in the parking lot in all its shiny, red glory. His car was boxy and green and felt very quiet next to hers. He wondered if it would’ve made more sense for them to carpool. Perhaps he would suggest it if they decided to come back.
But before any of that, he needed to find her. Sasha reached out to her mentally and she sent back a relaxed aura and images of water. It wasn’t hard to figure out that she was by the lake. He grabbed the crudely-drawn map that Oleander provided them and started making his way towards Lake Oblongata. The path wasn’t too difficult to follow, which boded well for the campers.
A large building caught his eye as he made his way towards the water, and a quick look at the map told Sasha it was the main lodge. Agent Cruller apparently spent a decent amount of time there, and it would be where they ate all of their meals. It looked well-constructed, at least.
As the lake finally came into view, Sasha spotted his partner sitting along the edge of the beach - boots on the ground next to her so she could dip her feet in the water. He couldn’t say he was surprised by that.
Sasha levitated over and stood just a few feet behind her. “Having fun?”
Milla leaned her head back so she was staring at him upside-down. “The water’s very nice. Maybe we can go swimming before the kids get here!”
Tumblr media
He smirked at that, then stared out at the water. It was quite nice. Oleander had really outdone himself. “I didn’t bring a swimsuit.”
She gasped dramatically. “You didn’t plan to swim at all?”
“Not particularly.” Sasha took a few steps forward, but not close enough for the water to touch his shoes. “I’m not much of a swimmer. But I’d be happy to sit here and watch while you enjoy.”
Milla chuckled and Sasha’s face immediately burned at the realization of what he’d said. He didn’t even bother correcting himself, simply sent a mental wave of you-know-what-I-meant towards her.
“I haven’t seen Agent Cruller yet,” Milla said, changing the subject. “Aaronson said that he’s even stranger here than back at the Motherlobe.”
“Is that so?” Sasha pulled out a cigarette, deciding he was getting a little too much fresh air. “It’s hard to believe Agent Mentallis’ theory was wrong.”
She shrugged and levitated into the air, shaking the sand and water off her feet before putting her boots back on.
“Did you look at anything else or just come straight to the lake?” Sasha asked, trying not to watch her every movement. She was hypnotizing to him sometimes, he couldn’t help it.
“Nope!” Milla smiled and plopped her feet back onto the ground. “I know there’s a fire pit on the other side of the lodge and the cabins are off in that direction,” she said, pointing to the north, “and I believe Morceau said there’s an off-limits area over that way.”
Sasha tilted his head. “Off-limits? For what purpose?”
“I’m not sure.” She started to walk back towards the main lodge and Sasha followed her. “He probably just meant it’s off-limits for the campers. Maybe something they haven’t finished building yet?”
“Hmm. I think we should check that out, then.”
A few minutes later and they found themselves staring at a very unexpected structure deep in the woods of Whispering Rock. Neither knew quite what to say about it, except that they never could’ve anticipated seeing something of that nature in a camp made for children.
Milla frowned, staring from the entrance. “These are psychoisolation chambers, aren’t they?”
“Looks like it.” Sasha levitated above the structure to get a better look. “I’m sure Morceau isn’t planning on throwing the children in here. That’d be…” He paused, then floated down on top of the highest part of the chambers. “Immoral. Probably.”
“Probably,” Milla repeated, doing nothing to hide her annoyance. “We’ll have to ask him about this when he gets here, won’t we?”
Sasha came back down and they made their way around the rest of the camp. Oleander had a large treehouse office that was, thankfully, very well-constructed, and also very close to the camper’s cabins. There were just three cabins - one for girls, one for boys, and one for the counselors.
“Ah.” Sasha stared at the counselor cabin, realizing something he should’ve realized earlier. “So. It’ll be you and me and…Morry. In this little space. Every night?”
Milla laughed and elbowed him in the arm. “You seem surprised, Sasha! What did you expect? Private rooms?” She floated inside and moved to the bed furthest in the back, wiping off the blanket. “I think I’ll take this one.”
Sasha followed her inside. He hadn’t thought about sleeping arrangements at all. He and Milla had shared hotel rooms in the past, but they usually had more space between them. He found himself both relieved and annoyed that Oleander would be in the room, too. And what about Agent Cruller? It didn’t look like Cruller had been staying there. Perhaps he had his own cabin somewhere else on the campgrounds. Or maybe a tent.
“Darling, you should take the bed across from mine!” Milla said, floating over to that bed and sitting on it. “I’m sure Morceau will want to be closest to the door, anyway.”
“Of course.” Sasha shrugged. He didn’t imagine he’d be sleeping much in such an uncomfortable space. But he needed to prove to Oleander that he was capable of doing this, and he wanted to support Milla by sticking around. There was no room for complaining about little things like sleeping arrangements. “Whichever you think is best.”
After that, they headed to the parking lot to grab their suitcases and bring them back to the cabins. If not for telekinesis, Sasha would’ve been annoyed that they were on complete opposite ends of the camp. He couldn’t imagine being forced to actually carry his luggage the entire way across.
Along the journey back to the cabins, they finally spotted Agent Cruller.
He was using a broom to sweep grass and dirt not far from the main lodge, mumbling under his breath. Sasha and Milla looked at each other, and psychically decided to wait until they were unpacked before they talked to him. They both had a feeling that he’d want to chat for a long time, as older people tended to do.
Agent Cruller was gone by the time they made their way back.
“Maybe he’s in the lodge,” Milla suggested, pointing towards it. “Morceau said he cooks all the camp meals, and it’s almost dinnertime.”
Sasha nodded and they made their way inside, unsurprised to find Agent Cruller standing there behind the counter. He was mumbling about burgers and fries and had on a chef’s hat and apron, which weren’t present when they saw him earlier.
“Agent Cruller,” Sasha said, walking towards him. “It’s good to see you.”
The older man tilted his head at the two of them. “Huh…you look different than before! What’s with the green? Huh?”
Sasha frowned and glanced at Milla, who simply smiled and came closer. “Hello! Do you remember me, Agent Cruller? My name is Milla. Milla Vodello!”
Cruller stared at her, his eyes slowly squinting until there was no way he could see anything at all. He then opened his eyes wide, made a noise of surprise, then looked over at Sasha, and then back to Milla again. “I know you two! You’re psychics! Hungry psychics, I’ll bet! You want some burgers?”
Milla’s smile softened and she tugged some hair behind her ears. “Um, yes, sure! That sounds lovely. Thank you, Agent Cruller.”
“Call me Ford, why don’t you?” the older man said loudly. “You two are much too tall to be talking to me like that!”
Sasha ran a hand through his hair, feeling a frustrated knot forming in his shoulder. That always happened when he talked to Agent Cruller for too long - the man’s mental state reminded him too much of exactly the type of damage a Psychonaut was constantly in danger of. “Of course, Ford. Whatever you’d like.”
Cruller gave them a toothy smile and disappeared to make the food.
“I, um. I don’t think Agent Mentallis had the right idea about the psitanium,” Milla said, clasping her hands in front of her. “But maybe the fresh air is good for him, at least?”
“Hopefully,” Sasha answered.
X
Milla woke the next morning feeling oddly achy. Her head hurt - not in a way she was used to. It was like a specific part of her brain was irritated. Almost like she’d spent all night listening to loud music, but somehow…different. It was difficult to explain.
When Sasha came out of their shared bathroom and expressed a similar type of headache, she knew she wasn’t crazy, at least.
“I just assumed it’s because I’ve been cooped up indoors for so long,” Sasha joked, though he also meant it genuinely. “But a headache after less than a day outdoors did seem a bit fast.”
She got up and rushed to the bathroom, desperately needing to brush her teeth and do something about her hair. Sometimes Milla remembered the first time she and Sasha shared a bedroom - she’d been so nervous about how she looked that she’d made sure to wake up before him so she could beautify herself. It took barely two days of that before she gave up and let him see her ridiculous bedhead. He never commented either way. “Could it be the psitanium?”
There was a pause before she heard Sasha’s muffled response from the other side of the bathroom door. “That seems likely. I've certainly not been around this much psitanium before.”
Milla stared at her reflection in the mirror, happy she didn't look as bad as her head felt. “Me neither,” she added before starting to brush her teeth.
She could hear Sasha moving around in the other room and reached out with her mind - somehow they’d gotten to the point where even thirty seconds of not knowing what was going on in his head made her curious. If they were in a different kind of relationship, they’d probably be described as clingy or codependent. But as Psychonaut partners, it was totally normal and fine.
“Maybe we can ask Agent Cruller about it,” Sasha said. Then, after a moment, he corrected himself. “Er, Ford. We can ask Ford.”
Milla smiled. He was never very good at being casual, especially not with senior Psychonauts. She sent him a mental agreement, then quickly finished getting ready and dressed and headed out the door. “Ready to go?”
Sasha nodded at her and telekinetically opened the cabin door, allowing her to leave first. Such a gentleman.
They wandered around for a bit, wondering if they’d find Ford outside somewhere. His persona in the main lodge - the one wearing the chef hat - wasn’t the most helpful. There was always a possibility that one of his other personas around the campgrounds would have better information. But they didn’t see the sweeping persona on their walk towards the lodge, so they decided it was time for breakfast.
“Good morning!” Ford shouted as they entered the lodge. He had a bright smile on his face and was chewing on a large piece of bacon. “We got the good stuff today!”
Milla and Sasha glanced at one another before walking closer to him. She smiled gently. “Good morning, Ford! How are you today?”
“Great!” He pulled the bacon out of his mouth and took a big whiff of it, then took another big bite. “I love this bacon! It’s delicious!”
Sasha sighed and stepped forward, much more impatient than Milla. “You’ve been here for a few weeks now, Agent-er, Ford. Did the psitanium have an adverse effect on you when you first arrived? Headaches? Anything like that?”
Ford stared at Sasha and blinked slowly. Once. Twice. Three times. Then he shook his head. “I’ve got no clue what you’re talking about. But I’ve got some fine egg ‘n bacon sandwiches for the two of you when you want ‘em!”
Sasha sighed again, and barely reacted as Milla put a hand on his arm. “That sounds great, Ford, thank you.”
The older man disappeared for a few seconds, then reappeared with the sandwiches. “All wrapped up, just like a fancy restaurant!”
Milla took them and gave one to Sasha, who seemed generally uninterested in the food. He was clearly disappointed in Agent Cruller’s response, but Milla figured it was what they were going to get. Cruller was…exactly who he was. There was no changing that. “Thank you,” she said quietly, smiling at Ford again.
He stood there silently for a few moments, then slammed his hands on the counter and stared at the two of them, completely bug-eyed. “Y’know where all the psitanium is? It’s underground!” Ford said, tilting his head too far to the side to keep his balance for much longer. “You’d be surprised what’s underground in a place like this!”
The two younger Psychonauts glanced at each other again, then gave a polite goodbye to Agent Cruller before taking their leave. It was a unique reaction from him, especially considering the lack of appropriate response they usually got. It seemed that he at least understood their question, though it was hard to say whether or not his answer held any useful information. Were they the ramblings of a madman? Or was he offering them some semblance of insight from the small parts of his brain that were still functioning?
“Underground, huh?” Milla muttered, finishing up her sandwich. It was very good. Seemed like the campers would be eating just fine during their week of training.
“I suppose it’ll be worth it to keep an eye out.” Sasha only ate half of his and folded the wrapper around the rest. “Maybe there’s some sort of…cave by the water.”
She smiled and grabbed his wrapped sandwich half, unwrapping it and shoving it towards him. He never ate enough, in her opinion. She’d swear that if she didn’t remind him to eat, he could go well over a day without anything but coffee and cigarettes. That wouldn’t happen while they were alone together, that was for sure. “Maybe! You should finish this, darling. In case we find a secret underground psitanium cave and need our strength to get out.”
Sasha exhaled through his nose, but relented and continued eating. “So we’re exploring again today?” he mumbled between bites.
“That’s what I’d like to do, at least. I mean…I’ve got all my lessons planned,” she answered happily. It was always nice when he listened to her in regards to his health. Now if only she could get him to stop smoking! “Reorganized my mind so the kids can practice levitation safely. So there’s nothing else to prepare.”
“Ah.”
He nodded and then pouted, an expression that Milla didn’t expect to see. “What’s wrong?”
“I may need to take some time and…move some things around.” He took the last bite of his sandwich and crumpled up the wrapper in his gloved hands. “Maybe we’ll head back to the cabins early.” He paused, then corrected himself. “Er, I’ll head back early. You don’t have to. Also. You can do what you want, of course.”
She smiled brightly at him. He was so cute when he stumbled over his words. “Maybe I’ll go swimming, then.”
Sasha returned her smile with a small one of his own and they got up from the picnic table outside the lodge. It was a beautiful day out and there was plenty of campground for them to check out before he needed to start on his lesson plan.
X
Their third day on the campgrounds, aka the last day before the campers arrived and the actual camp started, did not get off on the right foot.
Milla and Sasha were loudly woken up by a loud - loud, loud, loud - trumpet playing a slightly off-tune Reveille. It didn’t take a genius to know what that meant: Oleander had arrived.
Of course, he chose to arrive at six-thirty in the morning. And he had to announce his presence as loudly as possible.
Sasha wasn’t ashamed to admit that he didn’t like Morceau. He didn’t get along with the argumentative man, who was always trying to pick a fight with him over everything. He made inappropriate jokes and comments, gave him insulting nicknames for absolutely no reason, and felt the need to heckle Sasha about his personal life and personality on a regular basis. He was genuinely surprised that anyone got along with the short man, though he supposed Milla got along with everyone.
The two of them got up and took turns getting ready for the day, despite Oleander’s attempts to get them up faster. Sasha just knew that the day was not going to improve with such a loud, little man having access to the camp speaker system.
On the plus side, he didn’t have a headache anymore and his lesson plan for the campers was all ready. It also seemed that Milla didn’t have a headache anymore either, since she hadn’t mentioned it.
While eating breakfast with Milla and Morry, it hit Sasha that he was already really missing the alone time with her. Sure, it wasn’t the romantic nonsense that Morceau had joked about, but it was still very nice. He really enjoyed spending time with her where they didn’t have to worry about danger potentially lurking around every corner.
“Did you get a headache on your first night here?” Milla asked Morceau over their egg sandwiches.
“Huh?” Oleander tilted his head. “Aaronson and Whittaker complained about that, too. The four of you just need to get used to the outdoors, is all!”
Sasha disassociated while Morceau continued to talk about how much stronger and more outdoorsy he was than everyone else, and stared down at his egg sandwich. Though Ford’s cooking wasn’t bad, he was beginning to realize that the food options were quite limited. He wasn’t a man who needed a lot of variety in his life, but he couldn’t imagine eating it over and over again for an entire week. Maybe he’d have to grab some fruit before the campers arrived the next day.
“What do you think, Nein?”
Sasha was pulled back into the conversation to find both of them staring at him. He had no idea what they were just talking about and shook his head. “I didn’t catch the question.”
Oleander rolled his eyes. “See what I mean? If any of this week’s kids give us a bad review, I’m blaming it all on you!” he said, pointing a finger in Sasha’s face. “If you’re gonna screw anything up, just try to keep it small, alright?”
“...alright,” Sasha responded, standing up. He wasn’t interested in listening to insults any longer, so he decided it was a good time to look around the camp. By himself. “I’m going for a walk.”
Milla gave him an apologetic smile, almost like she somehow knew he was leaving because he didn’t want to spend too much time with Morceau. She’d heard him complain about the man enough times to come to that conclusion. “Catch up with you later?”
“Of course.” Sasha nodded at her and levitated away, decidedly towards the geodesic psychoisolation chambers in the woods. He’d meant to ask Morry about them, but didn’t have the patience for it. Maybe Milla would remember.
As he came to the structure, he noticed a strange-looking squirrel out of the corner of his eye. Sasha turned to look directly at it, but the squirrel immediately ran off - though, notably, it fell into a large tree stump. After a moment the squirrel climbed back out, looking slightly worse for wear, then it ran off in another direction.
Bored and curious, Sasha walked closer to the tree stump. He’d noticed a few of them around the camp, though they didn’t really catch his attention considering they were in the middle of the woods. When he looked inside the stump, however, it was clear that it wasn’t a normal stump. It was hollow and the hole inside was very deep. One could even say that it led to something…underground.
Sasha raised a single eyebrow at his discovery. He looked up - turned left, then right, then looked back down into the hole. It was certainly big enough for him to fit into. Though now he was wishing he’d used clairvoyance on that squirrel before it got away.
With a shrug, he decided it was worth a shot to look, so Sasha levitated himself down into the stump to see what was inside.
He didn’t expect to land on an awkwardly small rail car. Even more than that, he didn’t expect it to talk to him.
"Welcome to the Whispering Rocket Underground Rapid Transit System. Would you like to go back to your private sanctuary now, Agent Cruller? Or...somewhere else?"
Sasha stared at the device in front of his face. What the hell was he looking at, exactly? Whose voice was that? And…it specifically mentioned Agent Cruller. Did that mean this was something Ford had managed to put together in the short time he’d been living at the camp? It looked like an entire underground tunnel system.
Unsure of what else to say, Sasha cleared his throat. “Uh…to the sanctuary. Please.”
“Yes, noble Psychomaster.”
He glared, unhappy with that nickname, and held the car tight as he was suddenly pulled in a random direction. The rail car seemed to be functioning well, though Sasha was understandably nervous about the construction quality. Did Agent Cruller build this secretly or did Oleander know about it? He had so many questions.
Questions that would be followed up by even more questions, Sasha realized as the car came to a stop. He levitated out through another hollowed-out tree stump and found himself in some sort of underground laboratory - or, sanctuary, he supposed, was the word the rail car had used. The space was still very clearly under construction, but there were floating screens all around, several comfortable-looking chairs, and a pile full of psychic devices that Sasha recognized from Agent Mentallis’ lab.
It was a strange sight to behold.
“...Agent Cruller?” Sasha said, unsure of what was going on.
No one responded. He supposed it was silly to think Ford would just be waiting around when he saw him in the main lodge less than an hour earlier. The man was probably working around the campgrounds somewhere, or maybe he was-
“Sasha!”
He turned around to find Ford Cruller floating up from somewhere below, a large piece of scrap metal in his hands. “Ford. What’s going on?”
“I didn’t expect you down here so soon,” the older man answered, plopping down on the same platform as Sasha. “You get into a fight with Oleander?”
Sasha pouted slightly. “Not a fight. Just annoyed with him.” He paused for a moment, then shook his head. “Wait, no, where are we? Why are you wearing your Psychonauts uniform? Are you-?”
“Oop! I’ll be right back!” Ford interrupted, then quickly dove into the tree stump that Sasha had come out of earlier.
“I…what?” Sasha felt positively bewildered. He needed to find Milla and bring her there immediately, maybe she’d be able to shed some light on the situation. Or at the very least, offer a comforting presence while they absorbed the insanity together. He reached out to her mentally to let her know that he wanted to speak to her alone, then jumped back into the tree stump from earlier. Somehow, the rail car was still there, despite the fact that Ford seemingly exited the same way. Sasha was very, very confused.
X
It didn’t take much effort to get Morry to walk away from her. Milla let him know that she had some womanly things to take care of, and he immediately bounced away without a single question. He was truly a man’s man, she supposed.
She was very curious about whatever Sasha had found. Milla could feel that he was surprised and confused by something and she hoped it was something exciting, because the past hour of talking to Morceau about his Basic Braining mental boot camp was exhausting. She could not have been less interested in the militarized jungle gym he’d set up for the kids inside his head. It was…certainly different from what she’d planned.
She agreed to meet Sasha near the woods where they’d found the psychoisolation chambers - which she’d almost forgotten to ask Morceau about, but thankfully she had the answer. Agent Mentallis had suggested them as a fun exercise for the kids, then after they were already built, Second Head Forsythe and Grand Head Zanotto rejected the idea completely. But they were already built, and no one wanted to see all that money wasted, so Agent Mentallis promised to come and relocate the chambers whenever he had enough time and found a good space to put them back near the Motherlobe.
It wasn’t a great solution, but the campers would probably be too terrified of the chambers to mess around. Milla knew she could scare them off if she told them exactly what they were used for, but she wouldn’t do that. She never wanted to scare children.
Sasha was waiting for her near the entrance, standing next to one of the large tree stumps she’d noticed around the campgrounds.
“Morry didn’t follow you, did he?”
Milla gave him an incredulous stare. “Of course not, darling. Why would he? Did you find something bad?”
“Not bad, just…secretive. I think.” Sasha tugged at the turtleneck of his sweater. “Follow me,” he said, and then levitated down into the stump.
She leaned over to see that Sasha had completely disappeared into the darkness. That was unexpected. “Um…Sasha?”
“It’s safe,” his voice spoke, echoing slightly. “Just come down.”
Well. She trusted Sasha more than anyone, so there was no reason not to do what he said. Milla floated down slowly and after a few seconds she felt herself land in Sasha’s arms. Another unexpected development. She looked around and saw that he was sitting in a small rail car and they were in a little tunnel.
“What is this?”
Sasha grunted as he tried to adjust the way she was seated - moving her legs around to make sure they weren’t sticking out too far, if she had to guess. “Sorry, just. Give me a second.”
She could’ve helped him, but it was kind of fun to just let him move her around. It wasn’t often that Sasha initiated physical contact with her, after all.
Tumblr media
He seemed satisfied with her positioning - she was sitting on his lap and her legs were crossed over one another, laying on top of his left leg. Her shoulder was resting against his chest and she had her hands poised politely in her lap. Sasha glanced at her, a nervous blush on his cheeks, then reached out one hand towards her hair.
After a moment of hesitation, he pulled his hand back. “You, um. You should pull your hair in front of you. Just in case.”
Milla was entertained enough by the situation to do what he said without question.
Once that was done, Sasha cleared his throat and tapped the little screen in front of them. “To the sanctuary, please.”
“Yes, noble Psychomaster.”
Not expecting such a sultry voice - or any voice at all, really - Milla let out a nervous laugh. “Darling, what in the world is going on? Where are we?”
“You’ll see in a few moments,” he said quietly, and then the rail car started to move.
Instinctively, Milla pulled her knees up towards her chest and tucked herself into the tightest ball she could. The car moved faster than she expected and she wasn’t exactly seated very securely. Thankfully, Sasha caught the hint and wrapped one hand around her legs and the other around her back, keeping hold of her.
It was very nice. She’d have to thank whoever built the tunnel system for that little moment she got to have with her partner.
Less than a minute later and it stopped. Sasha didn’t wait even a second before wrapping his hands underneath her and levitating them both out of there. They exited through a similar hollow tree stump, but found themselves in a very high-tech-looking lab. It looked almost nicer than some of the things they had at the Motherlobe.
She levitated out of Sasha’s arms and floated over to the middle of the room. “I have never been more confused.”
“There you are! And good, you brought Agent Vodello.”
The two of them turned to find Ford Cruller walking towards them from a platform on the opposite side of the room. He looked more sober and focused than either had ever seen from him before, and his presence asked just as many questions as it answered.
“Ford…” Milla said gently, floating towards him. “What’s going on?”
“My question exactly,” Sasha added.
The older man shook his head. “Sorry for rushing out on you earlier, Sasha, but I could hear Oleander thinking about getting his hands on a boat, so I felt that inescapable urge to get out there and help him. You understand, I’m sure.”
Milla stared at the man, unblinking. She did not understand at all. “You remember our names?”
“I do,” he answered, taking a deep breath. “Just down here. Surrounded by all this psitanium…it’s enough psychic energy to keep my mind together. For now, at least.”
“I thought this much psitanium exposure was dangerous for psychics.” Sasha walked along the platform, coming to a stop next to Ford. “We’ve seen that in the past, at least.”
“Yes, of course, I remember the whole situation with that Rehm fellow a few years ago,” Cruller responded absentmindedly. “But he was an untrained psychic mind, someone who didn’t even know he was psychic until he was exposed. My mind is…well, it’s not what it used to be. But it’s used to psitanium and it’s used to psychic enhancements.”
Milla wasn’t surprised to hear Lucius’ name brought up - Whispering Rock was, after all, very close to the place where he’d first been exposed to the psitanium that made him lose his mind. His accidental discovery was helpful when Oleander was looking for the right place to build the camp. “But above ground you’re still…not quite yourself.”
“That’s true. I…can’t leave this sanctuary.” Ford sighed and sat in one of the chairs. “My every free moment has been spent working on this underground chamber, trying to make it liveable and giving myself access to all the classified information I can get my hands on.”
Milla noticed Sasha staring at a pile of gadgets sitting across the way. Those probably belonged to Agent Mentallis - she wondered if Ford had stolen them, or somehow convinced his old friend to give them to him.
“This is great news, Agent Cruller,” Sasha said. “Why haven’t you told anyone yet?”
“Hmmmm,” Ford hummed, closing his eyes and leaning his head back. “To be honest…I don’t think most of them will believe me. I’m just happy you two do!”
“It’s hard not to believe when you’re so much more, um…” Milla started.
“...coherent. Than usual,” Sasha added, finishing her sentence.
“Ha! That’s true.” Agent Cruller stood up and stretched, cracking his back loudly. “Oleander doesn’t know about this, alright? And I don’t want him to. He can’t keep a secret worth his life.” He scratched the top of his head. “I don’t know if the psitanium will keep me sane forever, but…so long as it does, would you two help me out with some projects?”
Milla and Sasha glanced at one another, not even needing telepathy to understand that the answer was of course.
“Excellent,” Ford responded, despite the fact that they hadn’t actually answered out loud. “And since you asked, Sasha - we’re just due north of the main lodge. Directly underneath.”
Sasha hadn’t asked anything like that, which made Milla wonder if Agent Cruller was able to read their minds so effortlessly while in his sanctuary that he didn’t even realize the telepathy was happening. It was a strange concept, though she’d certainly had moments where she couldn’t tell if Sasha was talking to her or thinking at her.
“I know you two have a lot to do, getting ready for the campers to arrive tomorrow,” Ford continued, “but I’d appreciate it if you could visit me down here sometime soon. I have some important things I’d like to discuss.”
“Of course, sir,” Sasha answered.
Milla wondered if he felt as intimidated by Ford’s commanding presence as she did. It was so strange to be talking to the Ford Cruller of legend rather than the Ford Cruller they’d gotten to know in the Motherlobe. All the stories they’d been told about him suddenly made sense, just from such a brief interaction.
“Is there anything we can do for you now?” Milla asked.
Ford shook his head. “No, I…oh. I need to go.” He suddenly rushed towards the hollow tree stump and jumped in, leaving the two active Psychonauts alone.
Milla frowned. “Maybe Morceau needed help with that boat again.”
“Perhaps,” Sasha answered, but he was already back to staring at the pile of gadgets in the corner. “These are definitely from Agent Mentallis’ lab. He was complaining to me about missing equipment just last week.”
“Ah. Well…too bad we can’t tell him where it is.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “This is a strange situation, right? This isn’t something you’ve experienced before?”
“Not at all.” Sasha stood up straight and walked closer to her. “I think I can say with absolute certainty that this is not something any Psychonaut has dealt with before.”
Milla nodded her head and took a deep breath, wondering if the extra psitanium exposure would have an immediate effect or if they’d have to wait longer to feel a difference. She felt a little lighter, maybe a bit stronger, but she also wasn’t sure if she was just imagining it. “Agent Mentallis would probably be very happy to know he was right.”
Sasha sighed and stuck his hands into his pockets. “Yes, yes he would.”

Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Season 2 Episode 3 Review
- i am not okay
- Watching Nika get beat up was horrible. While I understand Norea’s grief, she’s directing it at the wrong person. She hasn’t even realized that it was Shaddiq and her own actions that led to the camp being attacked, not Nika’s. Nika and Norea have opposing view points, Nika believes violence is wrong while Norea thinks violence is the only way. It’s two sets of extremes that do nothing but drag on conflict. Chuchu, funnily enough, is the more healthy middle ground. Ready to take action against injustice, but also willing to throw aside personal grudges and protect others.
- Honestly wondering where Norea will go from here. I still think she’ll bond with El5n, but I’m starting to question whether she’ll be able to break out of her revenge-driven mindset or if she’ll just become another casualty
- Shaddiq is revealed to be Earthian, half at least, to almost no one’s surprise. His plan of “give the weapons to the right people” is so fucking stupid. Earth is already extremely unstable, and making them weapon manufacturers will just make it worst. Once the Earthians lose the Spacians as enemies (but they’ll never truly be lost) then they’ll just turn on each other because there’s nowhere else for all that hate and instability to go to. Instead, Shaddiq should be using the billions the Benerit Group holds to enter a mutually beneficial relationship with Earth and build the infrastructure and support needed.
- Also wondering why his harem keeps following him around. Are they Earthians too? Or does he just have so much rizz that they can overlook murder?
- Finally, because I can’t keep pushing it off, let’s travel to Earth (in a space elevator that exists apparently)
- Olcott was someone I thought would just be a named mook, but in one episode I already love him. The backstory about him being a Domnicus pilot who later defected to Earth after losing his family is definitely meant to mirror Guel’s character. Even if he tries to act like he’s burned away all his attachments, he still watches over the kids, Guel included, and makes it his duty to protect them. I don’t see him living to the end, but I hope he becomes a nice mentor figure to Guel. Also I bet there’s gonna be a fight between him and Kenanji.
- Guel… My son… My light… My love… You are locked in a toilet. What a shitty situation
- My son has hit absolute rock bottom and yet the show writers handed him a pickaxe and forced him to keep digging. Seeing him just lose the will to live was heartbreaking, but what was even more gut wrenching was seeing him immediately start reacting the moment he heard about the troubles the Jeturk company was facing. He already lost his dad, the most important person in his life, but he still has the rest of his family. Lauda, Felsi, Petra, and the rest of the Jeturk house are all his family, and he doesn’t want to lose them anymore
- The moments with Guel after the school collapses however are truly the best in the series though. It’s a bit of a freeze frame, but you can seem him move to protect the children when the roof is collapsing. And when Seethia, the little girl who yelled at him to die and give her back her father, starts crying for her papa, he gains the will to love again and moves to save her from her grim fate.
- He takes flight in a beat up suit, looking for anywhere to keep this little girl, someone who reminds him so much of himself, from dying. Bathed in dawn’s light, he moves forward to protect an innocent soul who had already lost so much. But he was too late. That young life died in his arms, and all he can do for her now is dig a grave and lay her to rest. The innocent child inside Guel has died, but as the sun rises over the horizon, he does too. Ready to protect what’s dearest to him now. Vowing to never lose anyone ever again. And god damn it I’m crying
- I don’t know exactly where Guel will go now. I want him to stick with Dawn of Fold for a while, but his ultimate goal is to return to his family in space. However, will he seek revenge? Shaddiq, the one responsible for causing him so much pain, is still alive, but will Guel let himself be consumed by the fires of revenge like Norea or will he move past it? Whether he ends up killing Shaddiq or forgiving him, I will be on his side to the very end.
- Now back to space through the magic elevator
- Shout out to Rajah for being one of the few adults to give sound advice. There definitely seems to be a difference between the adults who use children for their own gain (Vim, Peil, and Prospera) versus those who want to support the children and let them become the new leaders (Rajah, Belmeria, and the pilot lady)
- Learning about more about the actions Delling has taken really deepens his character, and turns his speech in the Prologue from empty words to a promise he holds resolutely within himself. He believes war will never end, and so he instead sets out to create his own wars and keep them to a limited sphere. But also he’s done is build up resentment.
- I’m kinda sus of Miorine’s mom now. Maybe she’s the real witch we’ve been looking for? There’s a lot of fucked up shit in the floral kingdom, and the one that I’m going with is fungal takeover. Im not dropping my hivemind theory. EVERYONE WILL BE FAMILY WHETHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT!
- Now Miorine has to choose for herself. Will she follow after her mother like Suletta? Or will she become her own self?
Next episode might be Prospera and Eri backstory, and I’m not gonna be ready for it. Can I have a glimpse of my Earth House babies or El5n to fill my stomach instead?
Also RIP Philip. Gone too soon.

So after winning at Camp NaNo, I accidentally just...stopped working on UTOPIA, which is the second WIP I've done that for this year. This better not become a habit. Anyway, now that certain other projects are out of the way, I've made myself get back to it and boy oh boy, I've just realized how much I miss Rhys and Jonathan. In honor of the momentous occasion of me getting back to my WIP, here's a snippet XD
"We can't let them win," Rhys said, wiping dirt off her face. She had no idea how far they'd run, but hopefully they would be safe for the next few minutes at least. She turned so she was sitting with her knees pulled up to her chest, panting, and she didn't say anything else until her breathing settled into a more normal rhythm. "We can't let them win," she said again. She recalled the unsettling feeling of static in her ears and eyes and brain, losing her balance but not falling over, a heat settling over her like prickling needles. "So I...I'll give it another go. I'll do the conduit thing again." She lowered her head into her arms and tried to release the tension in her shoulders. She should be terrified. The battery had made her feel like something that wasn't human at all, something infinitely powerful and out of control. She'd felt like a bomb, ready to explode. Even now, she didn't know if she could handle it again. Time had persuaded her it wasn't as bad as her memories, but the fear that lingered in her told her that no, it was worse. "Are you sure?" Jonathan asked. No, of course she wasn't sure. "It's the only chance we have, isn't it?" "Statistically speaking, it's our greatest chance." It was her best chance at surviving and preventing the lich's return. It was the only way to fight her family. And still she wished they could find another way, any other way that didn't involve strange magic and standing up to the people she loved. But every other door had been shut in her face until there was only one left and this was it. A clattering of rocks sent her head shooting up and she blinked against the darkness. Her hand went to her gun but before she could bring it to bear, the shadows coalesced into a familiar shape. Sam lumbered across the ground and dropped the suppression torch at her feet. Then it turned, limping, and retreated several paces away before collapsing in a heap like an exhausted dog. Rhys just watched it and she wondered if Jonathan was really onto something with his theory. What a strange trio they would make. A conduit disowned by her own family, an android out of his time, and a wight with the mind of a person. If she weren't here to witness it herself, she would never have believed it. Without getting up, Rhys reached across the ground and snagged the torch, dragging it into her lap. It was heavy and about two and a half feet long with a fuel canister attached to the underside. There was a strap for putting around her waist to help her steady the weapon. It would certainly be ideal against hordes of wights. There would be no running away from them with this thing. She hefted it into her arms and then offered it to Jonathan. "Wouldn't you rather hold onto it?" Jonathan asked. Rhys looked him in the eye and for the first time, it wasn't just a machine that stared back at her. "I'm new at this. If things go wrong while I'm channeling, someone's gotta hold the wights off and that someone might as well be you."

Three is Never A Crowd

“Are you sure about this, Mirio?”
You asked your jock boyfriend who insisted that the two of you sneak away from camp to mess around in the woods.
You were sprawled out on a sleeping bag underneath him while he mounted you behind some bushes with your legs thrown over his shoulders.
“Everything’s fine, babe! It’s just the two of us here, I promise~..”
He reassured you while rubbing the tip of his cock against your pussy lips, making the warmth in your cheeks spread. It was extremely dark out tonight and the two of you were a long way from camp, which means he brought you here to be as loud as you want.
Nobody would be able to hear your screams of pleasure
“W-well I just think that-..”
You were interrupted by Mirio’s cock shoving itself deep inside of you, bottoming out in one go. The moan that escaped your lips echoed throughout the forest, alerting nearby animals and making them scatter. With your head thrown back, he takes the chance to attack your neck with love bites and kisses.
“Just relax and focus on this dick, baby. I’m gonna take care of you~..”
He gave you the same smile that made you melt every time before leaning down close to your face and capturing your lips in a heated kiss filled with nothing but passion. His thrusts were slow and rough at the same time, making your entire body rock with his movements and his hands groping anything that jiggled.
It wasn’t until he started speeding up when you heard a twig snap.
“Did you hear that?”
You whispered to him while scanning the area around you but your focus wavered because of his warm tongue teasing your brown, sensitive nipples. Your back arched, pushing more of your tit into his mouth.
“It’s probably just another animal. It’s fine..”
He wasn’t paying attention at all, too lost in the feeling of your gummy walls clenching and pulsating around him.
You hear something rustle a couple of feet away from where you guys were and you knew you weren’t the only ones out there.
“Mirio, listen! I think we’re being watched. We need to head back to camp, NOW!”
You spot a dark figure behind a tree and you point at it frantically. Realizing just how freaked out you were, Mirio finally looks behind him and sees the exact same figure you’re seeing.
“Hey there, you lost?”
Mirio asked the stranger with his cock still deep inside of you and your face gets hotter with each passing second. This was so embarrassing.
As the man got closer, you could see that his face was covered by an old hockey mask, but the glint of his bloodied machete was what caught your attention.
Something about the stranger behind the mask was off. He was standing there awkwardly and avoiding eye contact with Mirio.
“A-are you guys...done? I kind of need to, you know….kill you when you’re doing this..”
Your terror slowly died down after hearing his voice. It was soft and shaky like he was nervous and would rather be anywhere else but here.
“Kill us, huh? Well I guess we are pretty vulnerable right now.”
Mirio gazed down at you and a dirty thought came to his mind. You squirm around as you feel his cock twitch and pulsate deep inside of you.
How could he possibly still be hard in a situation like this?
“What’s your name?”
Mirio asked the stranger, making him jolt a little from the surprise question. You tap on Mirio’s abdomen, confused about what was happening right now.
“It’s Tamaki, b-but I’m here to-“
“Well Tamaki, since you’ve been watching the whole time, how about you join us instead of killing us?”
Both you and Tamaki look at Mirio in disbelief. He was serious too with the cheekiest smile on his face. You could almost see the blush through the killer’s mask.
“Come on, it’ll be fun! We can both make her cum and I’ll even let you fuck her, if that’s alrght with you, y/n?~”
Mirio suggested, his eyes looking directly into yours. This wasn’t smart at all and you knew that, but something about being fucked by a machete wielding murderer awoke something strange inside of you.
Nodding your head, you agree to the plan and shiver after you feel Mirio’s cock pull out of you, his cock nice and shiny with your slick dripping off of it.
Tamaki just stood there mesmerized by your naked, brown body and the way you held your legs open shyly for him made his own cock twitch.
After a while, Tamaki finally accepts the offer, removing his tattered jacket and shirt before moving on to his pants. You noticed his bulge before but bit your bottom lip after witnessing what he was packing.
You watched as he moved himself between your legs with Mirio right behind him and his throbbing dick pressing up against Tamaki’s back.
“You don’t need this, either~..”
Mirio purred in Tamaki's ear before slowly lifting his mask, revealing just how red his face was. It was cute to you.
“Do you really have to b-be this close?..”
Tamaki questioned Mirio as he positioned his cock to your awaiting pussy, a shiver running up and down his spine after feeling his hot breath against the back of his neck.
Mirio reaches forward and places his hands on your knees to keep your legs spread.
“I gotta make sure you’re fucking my girl right~..”
Your eyebrows furrow just as the tip of Tamaki’s dick pushes past your folds and every inch is engulfed greedily.
Tamaki’s whimpers were music to both you and Mirio’s ears. He’s never felt anything like this before.
You, on the other hand, failed to keep your composure after being filled up with cock. Eyes already crossing with saliva running down the side of your mouth. Tamaki’s timid nature didn’t match his body or size at all. He was huge!
Mirio whispered directions into Tamaki’s ear while spreading his ass with one hand and aligning his cock to his puckered asshole with the other.
Using the juices from your pussy that still coated his dick, he slips inside of Tamaki with ease, the tightness of his ass making Mirio clench his teeth and curse underneath his breath.
Tamaki’s eyes widen in surprise and a yell escapes his lips. He wasn’t expecting that at all.
“What, you thought I’d skip out on the fun?~”
Smirking, he gives Tamaki a hard thrust, making him accidentally thrust into you and all three of you moan in unison.
With Mirio mounted on top of Tamaki and Tamaki on top of you, it gets steamy behind the bush y’all were fucking behind. Tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as Tamaki fucked into you, the stretch driving you insane and the contour of a bulge poking through your tummy visible with every thrust.
For a killer that’s been racking up bodies for years now, Tamaki was extremely vocal, but you didn’t blame him. Not only was he being fucked in the ass by your boyfriend, but his cries of pleasure also came from your gummy, warm walls squeezing and sucking him in even deeper, his tip kissing your womb over and over.
Mirio places a hand between Tamaki’s shoulder blades and gently pushes his body against yours more before gripping his hips firmly.
“Good shit, Tamaki! You’re making her really-..hng-..feel it~..”
Praised Mirio as his own thrusts gradually became more erratic and rough. He was close. You all were.
Tamaki lets out another cry before latching his mouth onto yours, kissing you sloppily with his brows furrowed. His tongue swirls against yours and you reciprocate the action before reaching behind to grab handfuls of his ass, spreading and kneading the flesh with your fingertips.
“I-I..I can’t take anymore..I’m gonna-..”
His vision begins to blur as ribbons upon ribbons of cum flood your cunt and you aren't too far behind him either, crying and releasing screams of pleasure as you squirt on his cock, both of your juices mixing together and pooling around your ass.
A few more hard thrusts from Mirio and quickly joins the two of you in pure bliss, hips stuttering and jolting forward as he nuts deep inside of Tamaki’s ass.
Your legs tremble and you mewl after Tamaki pulls out and a geyser of cum pours out of your ruined pussy. After Mirio pulls out of Tamaki, he places you between him and the man that had originally planned to end your lives tonight.
“See? He was just sex deprived, that’s all.”

Continuing the Blazing Saddles streak. I’m hyperfixating right now, so here I am, overthinking and overanalyzing an old comedy movie.
I love the upside-down exchange they have in the prison cell because, behind all the satire, slapstick and absurdity that defines Mel Brooks’ movies, the writers and actors still managed to paint a portrait of two characters who are believable as complex, tangible human beings, with issues, wants and needs.
The first few times I watched this scene I didn’t really take in its full impact, mostly because the serious topics it implies tend to remain shielded by the humour of the dialogue. Of course, the obviously significant racial themes are discussed, but there might also be other potential aspects hidden in the dialogue. The understanding of each other’s true nature, the beginnings of a close friendship, perhaps some past experiences resurfacing?
Let’s start, shall we? Keep in mind, most of this is just me trying to interpret their reactions, so it might be speculation on my part.
Tumblr media
“Are we awake?“
Bart has taken his role as Sheriff seriously and is up to the task. He’s cautious, yet professional. If the city itself is a piece of work, who knows what the local prisoner might do.
Tumblr media
“We’re not sure... are we... Black?“
Tumblr media
Straight to the point, but, even when plastered, Jim is never unkind or disrespectful. Just from this simple exchange, you can perceive he’s different fron the rest of the morons of Rock Ridge. He’s the first (and probably only) white person in the movie who doesn’t use the n-word when talking to or about Bart. He’s not afraid, disgusted, outraged or offended. Just surprised, because he knows what the public opinion regarding people of colour was at the time (even though we later see he definitely doesn’t agree with it), and he never thought he’d see a black man become a Sheriff in such a backward place.
“Yes we are.“
A mere statement of fact. Such a simple line, yet so effective. Poor Bart’s probably used to any kind of reaction by this point, almost universally negative. His response is neutral enough, but his expression is dead serious. For a moment, gone is the goofy guy wearing the Gucci purse who was elated to become the town Sheriff, who took himself hostage and later complimented himself for it, who was singing “The Camp Town Ladies” until 30 seconds ago. He’s testing Jim, perhaps even daring him a little. He’s prepared for the worst. The lack of n-word from the prisoner is promising enough, but Bart knows, and so does Jim in that little pregnant pause, that this is a crucial moment for both of them.
Tumblr media
"Then we're awake, but we're very puzzled"
And Jim passes the test. This is also a good time to go back and point out the obvious: while this exchange takes place, they've been bantering, in a prison, with one of them stuck upside down. A delightful first indication of how in sync their personalities and respective natures are. They're both chaotic creatures with a soft center, who found a kindred soul. Bart's wicked sense of humour bounces off Jim's quite naturally and with synergy, and they must notice and enjoy it as well.
"I think I better straighten myself out"
"Do you need any help?"
"... Oh... All I can get"
I'm such a sucker for the respect they show each other from here onward. The Sheriff knows the prisoner's situation is delicate and doesn't ask any questions, just helps straighten Jim out. Jim crowns the exchange with a grateful smile and genuinely thanks him. He also seems vaguely surprised at the notion of someone helping him, but I might be reading too much into it at this point. What's certain is that the slight tension that had been there before has now dissipated.
This moment was crucial for Bart to define the basis of their friendship, similarly to how their heart to heart after the chess match mattered to Jim. Those exchanges made them realize there was someone else who understood them and liked them for who they were, and who they could rely on in a world that could often be cruel.
It helps flesh them out as people and characters in a subtle, but very poignant way.
