The adventures of Momciet
Deceit is the single mom that is actually a dad of six boys, and he loves them more than anything.
Tw: swearing, homophobia, caps, drinking, please tell me if more
Deceit knew, as a single mother that is actually a father of 6 children, that raising kids wasn't easy. He may have a bit of a dependance on cheap wine that he finds at Walmart, but that doesn't stop him from being the ultimate mother.
He's adopted all 6 of his children, his oldest is Virgil, he's 16 and in that stage where he hates everything. His second oldest is Logan, who is 15, he does well in all of his studies and ignores his family most of the time. He had a pair of twins who were undoubtedly the Fred and George of the school. Roman and Remus were both 13 and they were both trouble makers. Next is Patton, he's a happy-go-lucky child of 10 years. And finally Thomas, who is 7, he looks up to his brothers and Deceit has already heard Remus trying to teach him the f word.
Having so many kids gets very tiring when you are living in a three-bedroom, one bathroom apartment. Deceit woke up at 4 in the morning to Thomas poking his arm. "What is it, Tommy?"
"Can turtles live without their shell? I asked Virgil and he said to ask you." Thomas asked.
Deceit decided that it would be impossible to go back to sleep, so he sat up and grabbed his phone. He Googled the question and read it out loud to Thomas. "So the shell is kinda like the turtle's back, it needs it to give structure to it's whole body." He said. "That's so cool!" Thomas exclaimed. "Go get ready before your brothers wake up, you get the warm shower this morning." Deceit told Thomas.
With that the boy was sprinting up the stairs. He stretched and got up off the couch, it wasn't long before he was pouring himself a glass of champagne. Patton came bounding down the stairs and into the kitchen, "Mom! Can I make Pattoncakes??" He asked. "Sure bud, just not too much milk, you know how the twins are." Came Deceit's response. Remus and Roman were both lactose intolerant, so you had to be pretty creative making food. Next to come down was Virgil, he looked very tired and the bags under his eyes were obvious. Behind him were the twins yelling at him about oranges. "Breakfast is almost done!" Patton exclaimed. Virgil climbed on top of the fridge to get away from the rowdy kids. "MOM!!! DO WE HAVE ANY ORANGES??" Remus practically screamed at Deceit. "They should be in the closet. Why?"
"We wanna know what the skins taste like!" Roman said as Remus dug through the pantry. Deceit accepted that he could do nothing to stop them and took a long sip from his glass.
It was about six by the time everyone was ready and had their stuff packed for school. The TV was playing Steven Universe for the four littlest, while Logan read his new book on volcanos, Virgil listened to music, and Deceit was doing dishes. After a few episodes he looked down at his watch and it showed 6:55.
"Alright, everyone get in the van! Pat, turn off the TV, and Virge, turn off the lights!" Everyone scrambled to do what they were told and after a few hectic minutes, they had everyone in the car in a legal position.
First they dropped off Patton and the twins at the Middle school. Then Thomas at Elementary, and finally, Logan and Virgil at the High school. Deceit had to speed just a bit to get to work on time, but none the less, he made it.
It was about one when he got a phone call from the Middle school. "Hello?" He greeted, worrying about what happened. "Hello, Mr. Sanders, we have been informed that your son, Roman has been pulling tricks on his mathematics teacher for three weeks now. We would like you to come and pick him up, as he is suspended from school for the next two days. Sorry for the inconvenience." The voice over the phone said. "I'll be there in a bit." He replied, he pressed end call and took a second to think.
Wasn't his math teacher that homophobic one? He's pretty sure it is. Just to be sure, Deceit called Remus, knowing that he was in his free period. "Hey, Mom... What do you need?" Remus asked hesitantly, he obviously knew that Roman was in trouble, no doubt he had something to do with it. "Isn't your math teacher that homophobic one?" It was more of a statement than a question. "Yeah, that's the one."
"Thanks kid, nice job pranking him." He hung up without hearing Remus's reply. He had some homophobic butt to kick.
It only took him five minutes to get home, and he was sure to wear some of his gayest clothes, including a rainbow shirt that said 'Could Be Gayer'. He grabbed his black and silver purse and put on some three-inch high heels. He drove to the school and found his son, the principal, and Mr. Jeffer in the office.
Roman took one look at his mom and knew what's up. Deceit sat across from the teacher and and crossed his legs over eachother. "What's seems to be the problem?" He asked, he saw the disgusted look on Mr. Jeffer's face and knew that he was mad. "Your son has been putting tacs on my chair for weeks now! But, I do believe that both parents are supposed to be here for this meeting." Mr. Jeffer replied smugly.
"Oh, yes I apologise, I know that your homophobic ass wouldn't understand how hard it is to be a single, gay, mother that is actually a father of six boys." He said, "My sons have told me of your teaching methods. Which include telling them that it's a sin to be gay, that they/them are not singular pronouns, and that boys cannot wear skirts. I would like to inform you that my children look fucking beautiful in skirts and that you can haul your sorry ass right back to Hell, where you belong. I am done with your homophobic shit, and I would like you to know ,from the bottom of my heart, that I hate everything you say." ,Deceit held up his middle finger and finished with, "Go burn in Hell."
Everyone in the room stared in a mix of horror, disbelief, and excitement. "Mrs. Lyra, can you call my other sons to the office, I will be taking them home early today." He said standing up, "Come on Roman, let's go get icecream." Roman shot up and grabbed Deceit's hand.
"Mr. Sanders, I would like to inform you that everything you just said was completely stupid and too ridiculous to be real." Mr. Jeffer attempted to trick Deceit. "Im sorry, but I believe my sons who I have given me proof of you talking about how being gay is a sin, before I believe anything that comes out of your mouth."
"I WILL REPORT YOU FOR CHILD ABUSE IF YOU SPEAK TO ME LIKE THAT ONE MORE TIME!!" The teacher yelled once Mrs.Lyra had left the room. "Do it, I fucking dare you." Deceit retorted, and with that him and Roman has left the room and were waiting for the other children to get to the office. "Can I have an Oreo blizzard?" Roman asked. "Of course you can, my little prince." The older man replied. Deceit took all six of his children to Dairy Queen for dessert that day. He was pleased to hear ,when he got home, that Mr. Jeffer had been fired.

Life in Lockdown: Week 8, Spain
It’s been seven of the weirdest days of our life: where the freedom of vanlife turned into quarantine in a 4m2 space. I look back on our documentary progress and life in València under lockdown.
Tumblr media
The week started with the announcement that the biggest event in the Valèncian calendar, Las Fallas, was cancelled. This came as a real shock to us (just as I was wrapping up last week’s blog post) and at the time, almost felt like a bit of an over-reaction. Of course, those closely following the development of Coronavirus around the world, and particularly in nearby Italy, would understand the motivation behind such a big decision.
On Tuesday morning I attended a free event about Innovation and Design in cities, hosted by a group called ‘Designscapes’ who are conducting research on the topic in the hope of developing public policy. I’d been invited by Ramon Marrades who we’ve been working with at La Marina, and I quite enjoyed attending an academic event after being outside of the urban design industry for a while. I wrote an overview of some of the key takeaways from the event here, which included speakers from the International Centre for Design and Research, Aalborg University and The Tavistock Institute. Unfortunately, the event was considerably impacted by Coronavirus, and not only was attendance greatly reduced but many of the speakers were also unavailable to be present.
Attending the Designscapes Policy Forum was certainly a wake-up call about how seriously Covid-19 might begin to affect public gatherings, but I would still not believe the situation we’d be in just one week later!
While the cancellation of Las Fallas had affected some of our commercial work, the next few days felt as though most other things were unaffected. Plans for the documentary that our channel Broaden are making about La Marina charged ahead.
On Tuesday afternoon, we met up with Ramon to discuss people we’d like to interview about La Marina, València’s seriously impressive waterfront precinct. He took us inside ‘La Base’, the old headquarters for the Swiss Alinghi sailing team, a relic from when València hosted the America’s Cup back in 2007. La Marina now uses the building for events and offices, and while it’s not yet used as often as it could, it has so much potential and is one of many cool assets in the marina.
Tumblr media
(images, left to right) Attending the Designscapes forum on innovation in cities, enjoying the sunset on the marina blissfully unaware of the lockdown that would soon be in place, and moody scenes from inside ‘La Base’, a building full of potential.
Filming for the documentary began on Wednesday morning, when we interviewed Manoel, a charming guy who has worked at La Marina for over a decade. Starting out as a deck hand, Manoel is now a senior staff member managing the nautical side of the marina, with its hundreds of moorings and associated facilities. It was fascinating to learn more about the operational side of running a place like this, and we were even treated to a guided boat ride around the marina which offered such a different perspective on this place we’ve both been documenting and staying in for over a week.
The following afternoon, we filmed our second interview, this time with with Julia Pineda, a socially-oriented architect from the co-operative practice ‘Crearqcio’ who has worked closely with La Marina. I was especially interested in the community engagement she had done, and the participatory processes with local residents and other stakeholders to explore names for new streets and decide on future uses for buildings there.
As George and I continue to work together as a videography duo, we’re refining the process of interviewing people, arranging shoots, preparing equipment and getting the perfect footage.
Tumblr media
(images, left to right) Taking a boat ride around La Marina, speaking to Julia in Crearqcio’s office, and interviewing Manoel on a gloriously sunny day for the documentary.
Friday the 13th did indeed turn out to be pretty unlucky, as that’s when the situation in Spain relating to Coronavirus really escalated. We managed to squeeze in another interview with a member of La Marina’s team, the third of five interviews we had planned. Barbara was really accommodating and positive on camera, but even just the general vibe in the office while we were filming communicated that things were about to dramatically change.
By early evening, we were informed that some of our other commercial work would have to be completely cancelled, as all operations in Spain were starting to completely shut down.
It was Friday evening when warning came of the state of alarm which Spain was about to enter.
The declaration was made on Saturday: to ameliorate the spread of coronavirus, everyone in Spain is to stay at home, leaving the house only to buy groceries or medicine. All bars, restaurants, museums, cafes, and any other establishments that carry out public activity are to be closed and no one is to use public spaces. As the week continued, further measures have been put in place, such as the closure of the country’s land borders.
And that is pretty much when the predictability of my and George’s lives ended. Just like that: an extreme measure is brought into place which affects every aspect of your life - your income, your freedom to move, your travel plans, your activities and your family. Of course, that extreme measure has been brought into place because of an extreme situation, but if only I could warn Bryony from a week ago, perhaps I would have told her to prepare in some way. What might I have said? To stock up on food essentials, to buy a couple more books, to have more money saved up and most critically, to brace herself for the physical and emotional challenge of being confined to living exclusively inside Suzi the Van.
Tumblr media
(images, left to right) Powering through confinement in a van by writing letters and eating icecream, George going a teeny tiny bit crazy in our mini house, and sitting just outside the van on my virtual ‘balcony’.
We have left the van once since Friday, to go out and buy some food. I’m someone who likes to get out and about, so this level of confinement is pretty intense.
Aside from the supermarket run (to Lidl, which was surprisingly well-stocked), George and I have ‘stayed at home’, here in Suzi at La Marina. I’ve been really keen to go and find a camping spot out in the countryside, where there might be more possibility of getting some fresh air and a walk, but we’re conscious that where we are right now has all the amenities we could need: flushing toilets, hot showers, a laundry, rubbish bins, water, drain, and even electricity (which we’ve resorted to using today amid stormy overcast weather). Plus, if the last week has taught us anything, it’s that you can’t be sure of how the next week may play out. The safest option is likely to stay put.
As people have reiterated online, a period of isolation is a pretty unique opportunity for many of us to indulge in activities we don’t get around to. Whilst I’m privileged to have already incorporated diary and blog writing as well as a lot of book-reading into my routine in the van, these last few days have seen me do that more than ever. I also made another collage, and even got around to editing together a collection of images I took back when I was working in Sydney. This short stop-motion animation (below) had me thinking about seeing something inspirational in the same repetitive scene.

Might isolation do wonders for society’s increasingly short attention span and need for variety?
The current situation is a bizarre mix of feeling very isolated and very connected all at the same time. George and I use our phones a lot, and get constant updates both from formal news outlets and from friends and family. Anecdotes from Sydney and the UK, where measures aren’t quite as extreme yet, contrast with the sobering sentiments of scientists on podcasts or videos of Italians and Chinese who have been dealing with a total lockdown far longer than we have.
At times, I’ve even turned my phone off to try and tune out of the noise. Now that George and I are in lockdown, we aren’t able to contract Covid-19 nor spread it. So to a certain extent I feel as though keeping up-to-date as the crisis unfolds only makes me feel increasingly miserable and helpless.
Tumblr media
(images, left to right) The deserted walkway next to our van, empty offices at La Marina, and the beach as viewed from the closed gate which confines the part of the marina that we’re parked in.
If you let your mind project the implications of this virus in the future, it’s not too hard to find yourself in a dark place. Already, I see the failings of an economic system addicted to growth, the selfish panic-buying and disregard of facts by large swathes of people and the unfair advantage of exploitative multinational corporations. Take for example the fact that the aviation industry (led by millionaires, might I add) have banded together to ask for government payouts while young people, creatives, self-employed and zero-hour contract employees face a future of complete financial uncertainty.
I’m left asking questions like “how will people pay their rent?”, “where will this leave already vulnerable members of our society?” and “how will we even begin to rebuild life if and when this virus is tackled?”.
Of course, there are so many positive sides to be seen during this time too, and some of which offer answers to that last question. Already, we are seeing signs of generosity and kindness from health workers, neighbours, friends and strangers. We are seeing the emergence of an informal economy built on reciprocity and trust, where not just economic capital has value. We are seeing innovation on a massive scale, as people seek new ways of keeping their businesses alive, of cooking food with what’s left in their cupboards, of keeping the virus at bay and managing its spread, of boosting morale and of pooling resources.
Tumblr media
(images) I’m trying to see beauty in things and keep positive-minded, even if that means snapping these colourful scenes from the desolate streets on our walk to the supermarket.
In some ways, perhaps we needed an event of this magnitude to shake up the entire way in which we exist, and to rethink our systems of living.
The irony is that we already have another event which threatens humanity in this way, but which we have been largely ignoring. This is, of course, climate change and the terrifying rate at which the earth is warming up. Mother Nature has been shouting about the catastrophe we are charging towards for some time now, and yet it has taken direct deaths on home soil and a tangible ‘thing’ like Covid-19 for us to react in a collective and decisive way. It also goes without saying, that my heart breaks for all of the victims of this terrible virus to date, and I would never wish that it would take fatalities to call us to action.
This blog is usually a very personal reflection on a very personal journey: where my partner George and I attempt to cross the world in an old Japanese campervan, making videos along the way. But the arrival of this virus and its direct impact on our journey has triggered a different type of reflection. Perhaps in the coming weeks, during which I presume we will remain in lockdown, I will continue to write and reflect on what I think it is to be human in a difficult time, and to assess the situation which we are now all in, together as humanity.
I hope that my writing brings us together in some way, across oceans, balconies and phone screens. Whilst I’m pretty sure that George and I will still be parked up in a marina on the Spanish coast this time next week, who knows where we’ll be, collectively?

Forced Staycation? Spring Break? Here's some ideas for you
Tumblr media
Scheduling among working mothers has become a sudden issue with the COVID-19 situation causing governments and health authorities to declare gatherings below various thresholds to no longer take place. This has churches moving online, schools shutting down, and parents scrambling to figure out what to do with their kids so they can work. Where I live here in BC Canada, Spring Break has just started. This means parents here had already planned for those two weeks. Some had planned on going for a spring vacation while others had planned to send their kids to spring camps, etc. Many spring camps are halting while others are small enough to fit under the regulations and are still going.
Tumblr media
Staycations for those on Spring Break should now be a serious consideration. As a single working mother myself, vacations were out of the budget for much of my kids growth years. With no alimony or child support coming in outside of the benefits offered by the provincial and federal governments, choosing forms of work that would let me still be a parent whenever the kids were home from school, was a constant challenge. In 2010 I began working for a small business in town and 2 years later, I was given my first 10 day vacation period! This was one week with weekends on either side and one of them being a long weekend at that. I couldn't have asked for a better time slot!
Tumblr media
We live in Kelowna BC Canada, right in the middle of the Okanagan Valley and considered a tourist trap by many around the world. I decided we would play "tourist in our own town", and each weekday had a different theme. One day was museum day where we visited several different museums. Another day was all about animals. We visited a local kangaroo farm, a goat cheese operation, a crocodile rescue operation, etc. We took a day to visit the Kettle Valley Railway museum and train ride. A different day was eating at restaurants we'd never visited before. We hardly eat out at all, so this day was a bit of a pickle to figure out because we eat at home pretty much all the time. We figured out a mid-morning treat, a lunch and a dinner and finished this particular day at our favourite icecream haunt. We might show up at this place once or twice a year, but we try to make it a yearly summer ritual if possible to have one cone from this place.
Tumblr media
One day we'd decided to walk the Myra Canyon trestles. The day started out well, a bit cloudy, and we kept overtaking another walking group in front of us even with stops to chat with a chipmunk, admire cliff faces, etc. We sat down for lunch off the trail and then decided we should head back to the van before the sun peaked. Unfortunately for us, some of those cliff faces we'd admired on our way to that point, became horrific heat reflectors on our way back! All three of us were suffering heat stroke by the time we reached the van and anything else we may have planned for that day was scrapped so we could recuperate. Some of these theme days took more money than others to do, so I was grateful for the vacation pay I was able to put toward this staycation. Prior to this particular event finally taking place, spring and summer activities often looked like the following:
Tumblr media
The One Hour Walk Adventure that I wrote about earlier this month was a big one that we'd do. Walking to the lake and either spending time on the beach or at the water park, or both. I will write more about this particular past time in greather depth as we get closer to summer. The kids would play outside in the fenced yard climbing the trees or chasing each other around the yard or riding their bicycles in the alleyway. One of these stories will make it into an article about teaching resiliency. This is something many new parents were not taught themselves, so this article may be a shocker for younger millennial mothers when they come to it. This tomboy makes no apologies however. If you don't build resiliency into your kids, you get the huge raft of mental health cases that are rising all over the first world nations. Picnics at the park can be a fun way to take lunch or dinner outside without buying anything beyond what you already have in the fridge for use at home. Re-purposing it to take in a basket takes creativity, but it gives all of you fresh air and a change of scenery for a meal. One thing you should try to avoid doing, is giving your younger children too much screen time. Don't plunk them in front of your device to get them out of your hair. This actually causes long term slow brain degradation in the cognitive areas necessary for problem solving and people reading. We already have teenagers that can't describe their own feelings and have to point to emojiis to tell you what they are feeling. Be a rebel and ensure your own kids don't grow into that problem. Be a rebel and teach them how to be productively busy. ADD/ADHD is way over diagnosed because too many kids are more active than teachers want them to be. This level of activity is actually a boon that can be directed into household chores, yard work, gardening, washing the car, painting the fence, doing dishes, helping make meals, setting the table, vacuuming furniture, putting away toys, reorganizing the book shelf, etc. The busier you have the kids when their energy levels are high, the easier they will focus on their homework and schoolwork later. There is a direct medically-confirmed connection between lots of activity prior to cerebral output actually being beneficial. Kids need to run and play and get the wiggles out. This burns off excess energy and helps them think more clearly with all that added oxygen their activity sent to the brain. Avoid giving your kids foods high in sugar and food colouring. Many cereals and packaged lunch-type snacks have ingredients high in both. This exacerbates energy levels and brain function. Look for cereals on store shelves that have as few of these ingredients as possible. Ingredient lists without these ingredients are your go-to as a mother. Your kids will get their needed sugars from the produce you buy in the produce section. If you want help figuring out a schedule that works for you and your little ones over the long term, Taming the Clock is one of the coaching modules I offer. We go over your daily activities, we go over why it all feels rushed and harried, we ascertain what activities and actions are necessary and which are unnecessary and put together a method of dealing with daily life that works for your household in a calmer, more manageable pace. If you are now forced to work from home and the kids are forced to now be educated at home, there are SO many resources available coming out of the woodwork to help you out. Truth be told, this virus crisis may actually force a slow-down around the house that might give all of you a much-needed breather. Embrace that. If you want help figuring out how to embrace that, Taming the Clock can be tailored for that purpose as well. Book your SPA session (single parent assessment) and let's chat. Read the full article

Gay ask game for gays only
I’m tagging my sweet peach, @sivmese--fvngs to do it
1. describe your idea of a perfect date If the weather is warm enough i like to go for icecream and just go sit on a bench in a park and just talk about everything.
2. whats your “type” I honestly don't have one when it comes to falling in love with someone, but if it's like "what type of girl do you like usually" I'd say tomboy-ish? I guess I have a thing for girls with short hair in tight jeans and vans and a tank top. Oh and suits, all the suits.
3. do you want kids? Yes, I do
4. if you do, will you adopt or use some other form of child birth? I actually want to give bith myself.
5. describe the cutest date you’ve ever been on Every date with my girlfriend basically, but I love having dinner with her or go to a museum or walk hand in hand with her.
6. describe your experience having sex for the first time (were you nervous? or was it easy peasy?) I was pretty nervous mainly because we both had no idea what to do or what we were supposed to feel. We were young so it was mostly awkward, usually still half dressed and yeah...but still, I loved her at that time so everything felt right. But you know, with time and the right person you actually understand what everyone talks about when they say that sex is amazing and an important part of a healthy realtionship.
7. are you a morning time gay or night time gay? Is this about being out of the closet? I'm confuesed. In case yeah, morning and out and proud. If it means if I'm a morning person or a night owl, definetely the latter.
8. opinion on nap dates? Napping is life, and if you can do it cuddled to someone you love is the best damn thing after sex and pizza, trust me.
9. opinion on brown eyes? I love them, specially if they heve gold specks in them or are really deep and emotional.
10. dog gay or cat gay? Both, I'm a "just-give-me-a-cute-animal" gay. I literally stop and talk to frogs because they are so cute.
11. would you ever date someone who owned rodents or reptiles? Yes and yes, rodents are cute and so are snakes and lizards and stuff
12. whats a turn off you look for before you start officially dating someone Mainly if they have passion and goals in life, I need someone who has something to share with me, who can teach me something I don't know and has a world she loves that is willing to show me and let me be a part of it.
13. what is a misconception you had about lgbt people before you realized you were one? I thought dating was easier lol, and that there were just gay, lesbians, bi and trans people, I had no idea about the large spectrum that is the LGBTQ+ community.
14. what is a piece of advice you would give to your younger self Stop trying to fit in a box that's not yours, sit tight because your family will come around in a few years and they will all love and support you and you get to talk endlessly about the love of your life and take her to dinner at your granma's with you. Plus, I know people who are supposed to love you are destroying every inch of you right now but trust me, in a few yeas you'll find someone who makes it all worth it.
15. (if attracted to more than one gender) do you have different “types” for different genders? Nope, just into girls.
16. who is an ex you regret? Basically everyone who came between my biggest and most suffered relationship and the beauty that is by my side right now. I was in a bad place and I got into relationships even if I wasn't in love just to try and feel something again, and they all turned out to be bad and wrong for me (and I was the same for them I guess)
17. night club gay or cafe gay? I say cafe gay, but sometimes I like to be a night club one, just for fun.
18. who is one person you would “go straight” for Tyler Robert Joseph, damn those arms.
19. video game gay, book gay, or movie gay? Everything? I like them all, I guess I'm a nerd gay, even better a theatre and art type of gay
20. favourite gay ship (canon or not) Joshler and Swanqueen
21. favourite gay youtuber HANNAH HART I LOVE YOU
22. have you ever unknowingly asked out a straight person? Not asked but had a crush on yeah, but nothing major. Thankfully I end up liking girls who like girls too
23. have you ever been in love? Yes
24. have you ever been heartbroken? Yes, absolutely
25. how do you determine if you want to be them or be with someone Well dude if you don't know if you wanna bang them or have the shape of her ass or the color of her hair I think you have some stuff to figure out lol
26. favourite lgb musician/band I actually have no idea, I guess Lady Gaga (And no, I'm not gonna say Halsey, ugh, hate her)
27. what is a piece of advice you have for young / baby gays Do not think that because someone who you thought loved you said that you are worthless you have to believe it's true. You are worth more than you think, do not settle for anything less than what makes you truly happy.
28. are you out? if so how did you come out Yes I am. I came out to my mom when I was 16 because she found out I was dating my best friend and then she told my dad and they didn't speak to me for months, so I hid my second relationship until my mom found out a year later and that time she actually kept it to herself because we were both scared of my father reaction. Then after my parents got divorced shit went down in my family and I was so fragile I didn't have the strenght to lie even more so I came out to my dad (who I was barely speaking to at the time) and he actually apologized for his behaviour years back and said that he loved me no matter what. After that basically everyone in my family got the news and now things are mostly great, and I'm really thankful for that.
29. what is the most uncomfortable / strange coming out experience you have Having to remind one of my grandmas that my girlfriend is NOT just a friend.
30. what is a piece of advice for people who may not be in a safe place to express their sexuality If you don't feel safe, you don't need to say or do anything, you do you, and your safety and your health comes first. Try to find an ally, a friend, a family member, someone you can talk to because trust me, keeping everything in all the time is fucking hard.

16. dogs or cats: hmm i love both???? whichever lets me pat it haha
17. clear skies or rain: i think clear skies but rain and storms are cool sometimes (except when im driving and four lanes has to merge to two w little notice bc bits of a tree flew off all over the road bc it was hit by lightning). idk
18. cooking or eating out: depends what food and whos cooking vs where the place is
19. spicy food or mild food: i like spicy food???? mild isnt bad tho??? but i dont know if what i consider spicy is considered spicy everywhere????
20. halloween/samhain or solstice/yule/christmas: christmas. we celebrate it every year (ie its an excuse to get the whole family round and i love my family). ive never really celebrated halloween bc its too american
21. would you rather forever be a little too cold or a little too hot: ok normally i say its better if its cooler outside bc you can put more clothes on/get warm but if its too hot you cant take off all your clothes (or it can be too hot despite having done that). but to ALWAYS feel a little hot or cold no matter what.... im not sure. if i lived somewhere super cold id say feel hot and vice versa... but bc of climate change its been a cold summer? but also sometimes hot. i have no idea
22. if you could have a superpower, what would it be: my friend (em) said that if you answered anything other than teleportation for this youre wrong. im not sure tho? shapeshifter is also cool bc then you can fly if you feel like it or w/e. idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
23. animation or live action: animation. animated kids movies are so good
24. paragon or renegade: i dont know what these are

27. fantasy or sci-fi: ooooooo idk. i read so much fantasy when i was younger that i think i overdid myself but now i read more sci-fi????? but i love both theyre so good. i love reading
28. do you have three or four favourite quotes, if so what are they: no i dont. like i may hear a quote and think “thats cool” but like???? they clearly dont do much bc i dont remember any
29. youtube or netflix: i dont have netflix. so youtube.
30. harry potter or percy jackson: the funny thing is i read harry potter when i was like 10-12 and i didnt read percy jackson until i was like 14? 15? and im pretty sure the target audience is supposed to be the other way round but oh well. im not sure. i love both. i think maybe percy jackson (well i really love the magnus chase series and im gonna assume “percy jackson” isnt specifically his series but all of the rick riordan ones)
31. when you feel accomplished: im not sure??? when i do well at school i guess??? or when people compliment me? especially when the scary old lady in charge of netball compliments me. shes super scary and doesnt give compliments to be nice so when she says youve done something well, you KNOW its true
32. star wars or star trek: star wars. never seen star trek
33. paperback books or hardback books: hardcover books are so fancy and cool? but paperback books are much easier to read and hold
34. to live in a world without literature or without music?: oh. oh. im gonna say music? bc although im listening to music rn and i love eurovision which is based on eurovision, sometimes i get bored of music? and having music on means i dont want to turn it off so i can read and i love reading? so i’d read more. i dont know what i would do without books tho. and if i read too much and got bored of that i could play cards or force myself to do homework but ive gotten bored of music more quickly than of books (bc i sometimes just sit there doing nothing while listening). so books
35. what’s one thing you hope to accomplish in life? im not sure. i hope i find a job in the future i enjoy so i look forward to work??? but right now i have no idea what that might be. i also hope to continue to stay friends with a bunch of my current friends. but accomplish??? maybe do well this year. that would be nice. it would be easier if i could force myself to study/do homework tho. i dont know what i want
36: what is your favourite place to be? i dont think i have a specific favourite place? maybe more of a situation. i love being with friends/family and having a good time, which means favourite places are places i often get to be with family or friends having a good time. idk
37: biggest pet peeve? i dont think i have one big general pet peeve? just oddly specific ones that only apply to specific people (you could ask me about specific people if you wanted to haha). i think maybe people not taking class time seriously and mucking around? as tho school doesnt matter? i know i kinda do that in english tho so i guess its not fair but like idk how to describe nvm
38: what kind of music do u listen to when youre sad and what kind when ur happy or is it the same: well i dont have specific playlists i just shuffle all my music? i dont often skip so i suppose its the same???? idk

2017-2(FEB)-18--b--in a lot of pain.
2017-2(FEB)-18--b--in a lot of pain.
I'm in a LOT of pain.
Can't sleep.
The criminals aren't (so far at 10pm) so apparently bad tonight. But the few times I've taken Sam & Max outside for necessary many ablutions, I've heard cars tearing about, not as many as 'usual' in this hellhole, but they are still about.
POLICE I think have been at least making more 'routine' patrols and I and all innocent decent people thank them for that for keeping the crime and criminals down a bit.
Within minutes of that POLICE vehicle turning and going further into this hellhole suburb, I was outside with Sam & Max for their ablutions once more (the dogs choices & demands to go outside), and whilst outside in the heat (it was around 80F or over), I heard a "Mr Whippy" kind of ice cream van slowly travelling in the streets here playing a nostalgic 'Greensleeves" jingle playing that took me back to when I was a child and getting a rare icecream outside in the streets (if my dear deceased Mum could afford to, which was rare, despite it not costing much...we were very poor). -- In later years, all I have seen is any ice cream van like that being assauged by a crowd of aboriginals who would race out and literally surround any such van (FORCING & MAKING it stop) and they ALWAYS came away with tons of ice creams and treats....and yet they supposedly never had enough money to pay house rent?
BTW,.......long, long ago in my life....I was approached to take up a job as one of these ice cream van driver/vendors because I had a truck license, and therefore a commercial license, one which was (still is?) required to operate something which is a commercial venture. -- But that endevour fell through because of some terrible personal tragedy in my life. - Fliss I don't think ever knew about that, (or only knew a tiny fragment) of those tragic & terrible events....so once again I'm thrown back into the pit of hell without anyone knowing or caring.
One time today (4pm?) I just happened to see a POLICE car slowly going along the roads in this hellhole area. I dunno what it had been doing. It was a marked sedan POLICE vehicle, so it may have vey well been doing other tasks such as POLICE crime incident followups and such in the area, I just don't know. But that chance seeing of the marked POLICE vehicle about was welcome. It was travelling VERY slowly about the area, slowly past the aboriginal CRIMINAL HOUSEHOLD, and then turned and drove further into this hellhole suburb.
Later, at night sometime around 9pm, I heard a POLICE siren in this hellhole suburb, and even THAT sound was a welcome change of the lawless racket.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Going to try and get to sleep now but I'm a LOT of pain. But I severely doubt I can sleep.
I also have a tremendous headache.....I've had it for many hours...at least 10 or more hours, depsite taking headache pills for it, and I know I'll be up again with it when I get a hour or two sleep.
DESPAIR.
P@22:00--18-February-2017---I love you Fliss and want and pray to be with YOU.
