whats ur take on the last scene between ted and trent?

I'm gonna assume you mean the last solo scene between the 2 of them when trent watches ted read the manuscript (please correct me if i'm wrong).

Honestly, i was very very surprised to see that people were genuinely upset about the scene after watching the ep and coming on here. I thought it was an amazingly sweet scene (and golden shipping material). Sure, it wasn't a bold declaration of love or a tearful goodbye but it was EVERYTHING. Trent clearly feeling nervous about ted's opinion on the book (he didn't really seem to care about beard's numerous comments) and ADMITTING that he REALLY wants ted to like it. It's cute because we haven't seen nervous trent in a while and from a shipping perspective.... trent essentially admitted his crush. Trent knew the book was about ted and for ted, it was trent's love letter to ted before he leaves and trent can now watch the reaction of the man he carries so much adoration for to this very personal piece of work in real time. And (also from a non-shippy perspective) ted realises this. He tries to calm trent's nerves by making an off-hand joke and essentially tells him "you don't need to worry, i already know i'll love it (because you made it)". And then ted does his special trent crinkly-eyed smile???? And trent gets all flustered and winks at ted????? And tHEN TED GOES "GOODNIGHT TRENT" AS A CALLBACK TO "GOODNIGHT SPORT"???? Like, i genuinely lost my shit, that was NOT in my bingo cards for the last episode. Would i have enjoyed a canon acknowledgement of queer stuff between the two of them? Yous all know i would, with my heart and soul. But that was never my expectation and so i wasn't disappointed when it didn't happen. But what DID happen was wonderful and i'm glad the writers gave that moment of privacy and quiet to ted and trent as well as the little following moments when we see trent tear up after the richmond win and then honouring ted's legacy by granting him one last wish since trent would do anything for ted: change the title of the book, trent's baby, pride and joy and open love letter to ted and the greyhounds.

Winter break for a week now, let’s goooo

I’m gonna try to write a lot, hopefully work on some of my more neglected trolls fics (sorry hello puppets but the tiny creature brainrot is real), and maybe develop a new thing?

So hopefully at least one or two hanahaki updates this week, and one chapter or more for both experiment Pop and different beat.

Maybe start on one of the concepts I have shared before here, but I’m also working on a fic based on a song (a Branch-centric au, who would’ve guessed?), it’s a pirate au and it’s based on “Tale of the Shadow” by Sail North (I’ve written a draft for the first chapter which is heavily tied to the actual songs so I guess spoilers for the “prequel” bit). Pirate au also has some ocs to fill out the crew, but they’re not heavily focused on. So I think the two new projects I might work more on eventually is the Pop World Tour and the Pirate aus

So since I have a lot of free time, feel free to send me asks about any of my aus or opinions on the movies (haven’t watched the two series so can’t say anything on that) and the characters (I also kinda wanna do a character and ship bingo so feel free to ask me on those)

oh man the ultimate question of all, I wanted to save this one for last to give my full thoughts on this ship

Warning: I have a VERY unpopular opinion with this ship that you guys may not like to hear. So I suggest scroll and ignore this if your a St*litz shipper. You have been warned.

So once upon a time, I had used to be a fan of this ship at one point… Well I didn’t ship them hardcore, I shipped them as a dumb crack ship at first when they treated them more like a gag. But when the Ozzie’s episode came along, I think you can say this is when I was liking the idea of them together.

Now granted, it’s one of those toxic relationships that intrigue you due to how awful both characters are. (Much like Chucky and Tiffany from child’s play) And I like the idea of two messy people starting out as friends with benefits but slowly come to terms to want to do something serious and to try and their their shit together.

That was until the Circus episode came along…. THE FUCKING CIRCUS EPISODE 🙃🙃🙃🙃

They literally retconned things, did the childhood lovers cliche, and just woobified Stolas as a OwO baby boi who can do no wrong…. That whole episode frustrated me so much… we didn’t even get to see Stella’s pov than being a very bland kke note bitch (btw that is NOT how narcasstics work) and I was hoping he and Stella were equally messy to another like Clay and Bloberta from Moral Orel or Jessie’s parents form Big Mouth.

Dude Paimon wanting to buy Blitzo as a playmate for his son was so gross… that’s like when white aristocratic a buy child slaves as a playmate for their white children. Does Viv not realize how unitionally racist that is???? Since Stolas is white coded and Blitzo is POC coded???? This is why racism allegory never works if you don’t research history books…

But even then, THESE TWO HAVE NOTHING IN COMMON BESIDES FUCKING!

Blitzo always found Stolas interest boring and Stolas literally sees blitzo as just as sex toy and nothing more! And they failed to address what happened with the Ozzie’s episode!

Also, I feel like shipping them both together soley because they’re both messy dads with angsty goth daughters feels kind of shallow…. Hell, I think that will make shit worse for Loona and Octavia. All that’s gonna do is make them fuck constantly while they dump Octavia on Loona. And as much as I don’t like Loona, she doesn’t deserve that.

I still think Loona and Octavia can be sisters WITHOUT hooking their dads up together. Best friends that are sisters by soul are a thing you know. I have close friends I consider my sisters without our parents hooking up.

But my hatred for this ship is mainly due to Octavia and how much of a neglectful asshole Stolas is to her… HE NEGLECTED HER TWICE BECAUSE BLITZO DADDY 🤪🤪🤪

Octavia is my favorite that I personally relate to because her situation REALLY hits close home or me as I have a dad like Stolas… I’m against this ship since I worry about her mental health.

I can go on and on but these are my thoughts about Stolas x Blitzo.

Now I will say, this ship is written so bad I’ve noticed some people that do ship them then complain about how they do NOT like how Viv is writing them in season 2. I can relate with that since I felt that way for Apriltello (tmnt 2012) and Haida x Restuko (Aggrestuko) since I used to be a fan of those ships but the way the writers dragged shit out too long and executed them killed mh joy for them… I don’t think it’s really fair and I think fans deserve more authentic chemistry for their ship.

first, obvious one but always fun: Gillion x Chip / Fish and Chips!

Oooooo okay this is immediately an interesting one in my opinion tho. I mean I love them and their dynamic I did a whole thing about them in my "shipping in Jrwi post" so it'd be really funny if I don't actually fuck with them.

I do tho, especially on like a meta and storytelling level there is something compelling in "the chosen one and the cursed one" "the guy destined to be great and the guy destined to be nothing at all" like just symbolically that's very appealing to me. I go crazy for that shit.

Also something about gillion learning to hate humans but then finding love in humanity and a human is also like damn.

(spoilers in the next paragraph for episodes past 70 I think)

Then also in canon, I mean I feel like I'm preaching to the choir here, but all their moments in the campaign and their development as friends n stuff is crazy. Like chip going from not caring about his customs and wanting to sacrifice him to nearly having a breakdown when he disappears and always wanting to sacrifice himself for him??? Gillion being ready to kill him for being a bad person turning into gillion protecting him with everything he has even after he becomes the thing he hates???? Insane. Wild. Crazy.

Thank you for the ask!! This will be a ramble of me, so I'll put my opinions under "read more"

Invisible Poison (Fiona x Tyrian)💚💜

Funnily enough, despite me being the one who introduced you to this ship, I will admit that my liking for them has sort of lowered, but I do know it has to do with Fiona not being that much explored as a character, so putting her together with an ecentric character like Tyrian, with who she doesnt have any type of dynamic with, does make it a little bit hard for me to get very invested in the ship :[

But I am re-watching RWBY, so when I'll get to Vol 7, I'll see Fiona once again and my spark for the pairing could come back.

(Can we also talk about how no one seems to have writen a single fic about them? Not even a smut one? But at the same time there's 7 works of Jaune x Fiona??

Y'know, shit is getting hopeless if no one in RWBY fandom had made at least one chapter of you ship in their extremly smutty fic :/)

(I already have many wips, but screw it, they're on my priority wip lists now...I say as I haven't touched my Tyrian x Fiona wip for a whle now)

Despite my lowered love for them, I know that what drew me to this ship at first, was their Faunus identities - Fiona being a sheep Faunus & Tyrian is a scorpion Faunus.

I still dont know how to put in words, but with both being different type of Faunus, it would have been interesting to have it explored how both could've been treated because of their identities and how it impacted them. (I know this isnt much of a point towards the ship, but hush)

In general, the whole "sheep = innocent" "scorpion = dangerous" thing and have these two different people some odd Enemies to Lovers story going on between them.

Also Tyrian is the type of character who does know how to push others buttons, so I like the idea of him meeting Fiona and him noticing things about her that she may hide about herself from others. (Which would have explored Fiona's character a bit). And he just keeps pushing these buttons.

Then there's also their loyalty to their leaders - both being devoted to Robyn/Salem, but the difference is that Fiona & Robyn care about each other and have a good relationship, while Tyrian has unhealthy dynamic with Salem.

So, yay parallels...sort of.

Even if there isn't much in canon, except for Tyrian attacking Fiona, this pairing in fanon is still interesting and in a way funny if we focus on the absurd humor potential.

Like, imagine Tyrian of all people having this lovely family life with Fiona?? (I actually drew a fankid for them :D)

(For now I have named her Ophelia)

Just like in fanon, they would be fun to explore in AUs.

Them knowing each other since they were kids, but not being excatly friends? Tyrian ditching Mantle as he grows up and the elections being a place where they reunite after all these years?

I can smell the angst here, fellas.

This isn't mine AU, but an AU where Tyrian is one of the Ace Ops? What then their dynamic could've been?👀

Of course, there's the whole aesthetic of their characters, which I like.

In general, I like them and think it would be an interesting pairing to explore.

Ironhill (Ironwood x Robyn) 🤍💚

Gonna be honest, I have wanted to talk about them without worrying I might be annoying, but now that I've been asked about them, my brain suddenly is empty, not knowing what correct answer should I give😅

(I haven't watched Vol 7 for a while now, so might misremember some of the stuff)

I actually didn't expect myself to even consider this ship at all, but then this happened

Robyn, who up until this moment didn't trust Ironwood, realized that he genuinly cares and wants to protect others, that he isn't doing all of this for himself. He isn't her enemy.

(The way both at the start looked each other with distrust and dislike in their eyes, only for the way they look change as their views of the other change as well)

And it pretty much made me adore this ship. And of course, there's also their dislike of Jacques as well.

While they didn't share much moments were it as just two of them, them working together was enough for me...I say as them holding hands lives rent free in my hand (👏THEY👏HELD👏HANDS👏YOUR👏HONOR👏)

Of course, them trusting each other isn't the only thing about them.

I really suck at putting my thoughts into words, but while Ironwood does care for both Mantle and Atlas, he still is mostly at Atlas, while Robyn is potrayed to represent Mantle, so like them working together not only to rebuild the hole in the wall in Mantle, but also uniting Atlas and Mantle. And with both of them becoming allies, they wouldn't fall for the bad guys attempts at making them distrust each other. And when the evil is deafeated they would continue working together. (but Vol 8 decided to ruin this idea-)

(As a divorced Ironwatts believer, I also think it would be funny if like Watts saw them on the tv, holding hands and just was a very bitter ex about it.

"Oh, wow. Someone moved on pretty quickly if you ask me🙄😒" he says as it hasn't been 10 years already + the world believes he's dead)

Then there's this small things, like of both having shooting type weapons (and them shooting at Tyrian/Watts is a parallel in my eyes-) and they way they adress one another - "General" & "Miss Hill". There's just something about characters calling the other by anything but their names🤌

Obviously, my mind had to once more imagine a scenario where they protect each other with their weapons and slowly start adressing the other with their first names.

I also once came across a reddit post which talked about how Robyn also seemed to be paraniod and it made me think back to her Semblance and with how Semblances are based on the user, I made a hc that maybe Robyn either had her trust shattered mutliple times in her childhood, making her only to know the truth so she wouldn't get hurt anymore or that behind her confident personality Robyn is nervous/anxious person, which is what resulted into the creaton of her Semblance.

And in a way Ironwood could understand how it feels like you can't always be sure of things or feeling like things will fall apart no matter what and they could develop a bond from it. (which then would make Ironwood's villain arc heartbreaking for Robyn, because to her, he was one of the few who truly understood her struggles)

I know they didn't have much of a dynamic, but I like to imagine them having this teasing going on (with Robyn being the main one to tease Ironwood) Just two of them enjoying each ones company. I'm aware it's mostly fanon, but it's just a fun thing for me.

While I enjoyed this ship, I had been spoiled about Ironwood becoming a villain before, so it kind of sucked seeing the potential of his & Robyn's dynamic and knowing it will not get a chance to get explored. And let me tell you, wasn't big fan of Ironwood's villain arc. Also I started disliking Roby as the Volumes progressed :/

But hey, that's what fanfiction is for right? There's probably something on ao3-Aaaaaaand it's smut. Great, I'm in hell :)

Ladybug (Blake x Ruby)🖤❤️

When I started watching RWBY for the first time, they did not catch my eye at all, but then I picked up the show again and BAM Ladybug strucks my heart.

From their conversation in Vol 1, I was quickly sold to this pair. I just like this contrast between them - Ruby the younger, optimistic leader with a dream that can be seen childish and Blake being the more realistic, but outspoken teammate with a huge goal in mind.

Even if they didn't get much screen time together, there still were those small things that made like Ladybug even more - Ruby being the main one who openly worries about Blake after her argument with Weiss or when Blake refused to go to the dance, Ruby being the one to find Blake isn't in her bed and wanting to find her, Ruby straight up not seeing a point to go to the dance if Blake wasn't coming, Ruby being the first one to bring up Blake after she, Weiss and Yang had reunited and being the one who speak with Blake when the reunite with her at the end of Volume 5.

While this all is from Ruby's side, I will add that in Volume 5, Ruby was the first name Blake said whenever she brought up her team to Sun, so a win for shippers/j

Then there's Volume 6 with it's Apathy Arc and let me tell you, when I first watched it, my shippers heart was screaming in joy when Ruby reached out to Blake and activated her Silver Eyes.

Of course there's also Volume 7/8 (?) (i don't remember tbh) with it having Blake's whole speech about how Ruby inspired her, but because I feel like hers and Ruby's relationship didn't get explored in the story, the speech sort of also felt flat, because why not show the progress of how Blake views Ruby.

Their lack of screen time will always annoy me, but this criticism isn't aimed only at Ladybug, but at Team RWBY in general.

So, yeah, wish we had more of them and their reunion in Volume 9 should have been more emotional, but no, only Blake's and Yang's reunion can be emotional, I mean it's not like Blake and Ruby fell down together, with Blake having went after Ruby to save her-OH WAIT.

Anyway, I shall hc that Ruby has a crush on Blake and she's finds herself feeling a bit jealous of Yang.

But yeah, their whole aesthetic/color schemes are very nice.

NARA. I should have known you'd come up with the ship that's not talked about in polite company. Thank you so much!

So, for any anti that might have followed me by accident: I think we're about to part ways. John/Dean here refers to John Winchester and Dean Winchester from Supernatural.

Train wreck but I can't look away: whichever way you look at it, whether it's consenting or not, it's not gonna start well, go well, or end well. No amount of great writing will make this relationship stable or fair. It's doomed.

I'm a casual shipper: this isn't my OTP in this fandom (that spot belongs to Destiel), but I multiship.

INTERESTING COMPELLING COMPLEX SCREECHIBG: Dean took on his mother's role in the family in most ways after her death, why not this too? Have you seen the Winchester family dynamics? None of it is healthy, they're violent creeps with codependance issues. These boys haven't been socialized! So yeah, incest, why not? So many themes to explore with this ship. Abuse, masculinity, free will, homophobia, parenting.

Fandom ruining it: not really. There is amazing fandom content for that ship. But the SPN fandom is extremely divided and confrontational, and John's character is a touchy subject. Most people stop at arguing about whether he is good or bad, and are too busy decrying incestuous ships to provide interesting discussion about Dean/John.

Person A deserves better than person B: hey, John Winchester sucks. He's interesting, but he's the kind of character you watch telling yourself "I wish he'd rot in hell" and guess what? He canonically does!

Could cut the tension with a KNIFE: every room John steps into has tension. Things are already tense and intense and electric with his sons (in different ways) in a story where he doesn't fuck them. Imagine if he wasn't just Dean's father, drill sergeant and personal god, but also the man who taught him to have sex.

FREE SPACE: ew ew omg ewww! This hits the tiny mark between "absolutely disgusting" and "so fucking hot". There are days I can't stomach it, but I stand by it because it's extremely compelling.

Thank you a thousand times for giving me the oportunity to talk about them, it was very exciting.

And now, some Philes as a palate cleanser:

THAT one scene. You know the one: the duelling scene, of course. Thurston, what were you thinking? Also, the minotaur fight scene when Fetch realizes Niles is sort of a friend, kinda??

INTERESTING COMPELLING COMPLEX SCREECHIBG: It's because they have such different opinions and goals that they are interesting to see interact. For Fetch and Niles to date or fuck, I think Fetch would have to get more down to earth and less absolute about his views, and that would be an interesting growth. Also, Thurston Niles is a great character to explore and make headcanons about.

They are divorced, possibly not for the first time: these guys fight so much. They're used to each other's presence like you're used to an inconvenience or a flaw in the sidewalk. The way Fetch goes to Niles' house for drinks, and Niles doesn't serve him alcohol, and they antagonize each other but still have a decent time is so Divorced to me.

Could cut the tension with a KNIFE: I love to see the girls fightinnnnnggg. I love that Fetch seems two seconds away from imploding when he's in the same room as Niles. What's interesting is that the tension is brought by Fetch and Niles is chill about their situationship. When they meet on a case of Fetch's, sparks fly and that's awesome.

FREE SPACE: I'm using this space to say a trop I love to imagine for them is "ugh, why did it have to be him of all people?". I like to imagine them both inconvenienced by their attraction.

Gonna go the less expected route here: Julian Albert, Kamilla Hwang, and Joe West for the fictional character bingo.

Ooh I appreciate the variety!

Julian Albert:

He just kind of Exists to me 🤷‍♀️ I also didn’t like Caitlin/Julian (hence “canon’s not real if I don’t look at it”). I found him kinda off-putting tbh. The show’s no stranger to jerk characters (Harry, Ralph), but Julian doesn’t really have the charisma to endear him to me like Harry and (to a lesser extent) Ralph do.

Also, he was only really there a) for Caitlin’s plotline (and his inclusion in all of it fell flat for me) and b) for the Alchemy red herring (which, as with Savitar pre-reveal, was a waste of time imo)

Kamilla Hwang:

So admittedly I used to be a lot more neutral towards her, if only because I felt she and Cisco were kinda thrown together by the writing and not given a ton of development as a couple. I…still somewhat feel this way, but I also like the two of them together…and as far as Cisco ships go, Kamisco’s my favorite 💞 (Goldenvibe is second for me, and I’ve been warming up to that more lately too)

Also, since Kamilla is your favorite, I’ve become fonder of her and Kamisco through following you 🥰 Kamilla is sweet, driven, and when the show does allow them to spend time together onscreen, they seem to get each other in a very special way. It’s not my favorite ship, but I find it a sweet one regardless.

As for “the fandom’s so mean”…something I’ve noticed is how some Caitlin/Cisco shippers tend to write Kamisco (and Kamilla, by extension) as very boring/bland/not right for Cisco. Which…fine, people can have ship preferences, but I remember one fic in which a character told Cisco, “[Kamilla’s] nice, but you deserve better than nice”, and that irked me.

Like…I get that Kamisco isn’t as developed as Caitlin and Cisco’s friendship, and even I shipped Caitlin/Cisco for a time, but…it rubs me the wrong way to see a white woman prioritized over a WOC as Cisco’s love interest when canonically, he’s only ever romantically been interested in said WOC and not the white woman. I get the fondness for Caitlin/Cisco, but if you need to throw Kamilla, a WOC and Cisco’s canon love interest, under the bus to do it…I question how strong your ship really is.

(Fun fact, fics like this are part of the reason I don’t really ship Caitlin/Cisco anymore!)

Joe West:

So…I have mixed opinions. I love him in most of the show, especially his relationships with Barry, Iris, Cisco, and Wally. Even his dynamic with Harry in s2!

I don’t, however, like him in s1 with Iris, and even with Barry, mostly pre-reveal. When he’s shooting down Barry at every turn, making him feel stupid, not even entertaining the idea of the impossible, not even stopping when he sees Barry’s given up the fight…yeah, that was sucky of him. It shouldn’t have taken Iris’s intervening for him to back off.

And with Iris…the lying, the gaslighting, the coddling…listen, I get he’s overprotective, but he is way moreso of Iris than Barry. Keeping her out of the loop for so long and not even apologizing to her?? Joe, Barry made his choice, but you also asked him to do it! You lied to Iris for months and acted like she was crazy when she mentioned seeing the Streak! You even got mad at Barry for Iris’s choice to put her name on her blog!

And that stuff with Eddie…ugh, that’s infuriating. The way Joe acts so entitled to her love life in s1, the way he denies Eddie permission to propose for ages just because he thinks he knows better than Iris who she should marry?? And the show doesn’t win any points with me for treating him as being right for that.

Oh, and also Armageddon?? When he yells at Barry and Iris for wanting to let Thawne die?? Saying they’d be destroying their family by doing so?? JOE CAN YOU BFFR?? We’re talking about EOBARD THAWNE! Killed Nora Allen, framed Henry Allen, stalked your son-in-law, killed Cisco, killed Eddie, killed your granddaughter, changed time and almost married your daughter??

I do love him in the rest of the show though, I think he’s a great fountain of wisdom and his relationships with his kids shine (hence the square with all the hearts, because when those relationships are at the forefront outside of s1, it’s like magic). It’s just those instances when I dislike him.

He only knows that trying to take care of Tony without accidentally revealing his feelings for him is going to be virtually impossible. He does it anyway.

Never Worlds Apart Square: O3 - Free Space It's been six years since he's seen Tony when he walks into his favorite diner and sees him sitting in their old booth, as if nothing ever happened. Steve can't believe the nerve of Tony to just show up out of the blue after the way he ended things. Turns out Tony has a reason for wanting to make amends. And Steve doesn't appreciate only finding out about it after Tony has already almost died.

A Guiding Hand Square: O4 - Hidden Depths Tony is perpetually stressed. His job, his divorce and his insomnia are making his life a living hell. He just can't seem to catch a break. That is until his boss Steve inadvertently gives him exactly what Tony needs - a firm hand. Tony hasn't played with his submissive tendencies in years, but he knows an opportunity when he sees one. And as it turns out, Steve is more than happy to give him the guidance he craves.

Sparks Are Gonna Fly Square: O5 - Car Race Tony drives the 1-California in San Francisco. The highlight of his day, every day, is sharing a smile and a nod with the hot guy that drives the 8-Bayshore. Tony has never actually talked to the guy, but he's pretty sure that they have a connection. Then, one day, some guy picks a fight during Tony's shift and ends up cutting his bus in half. If you had asked Tony earlier, he would've said that there is no way anything positive can come from an experience like that. Except when it turns out to be his golden opportunity to actually meet the Bayshore-hottie.

The Devil's Staircase Square: N1 - Writing Format: Emulate Someone Else’s Style “Do you remember who I was inside?” Entire lives inside that dream. Hushed words and whispered promises. Tony remembered all too well. Inside, Steve had called him love. Outside, Steve called him traitor.

Turbulence Square: N2 - Weather Is Out Of Control Steve has a major headache, and the businessman douchebag yelling into his phone at the airport isn't helping. There's only so much Steve can stand before he gets up and puts the guy in his place. Finding out that they're actually seat neighbors is beyond awkward. Especially when Steve's anxiety kicks in as they fly right through a storm. But as it turns out, the guy isn't as much of a douchebag as Steve first thought.

The Art of Winning Square: N3 - Attainable Goals During an Avengers bootcamp, Steve gets the mission to make Tony say the words "You win" or "I give up" to Steve specifically. Which would be fine if Tony didn't seem completely incapable of admitting defeat. In the end, desperate times call for desperate measures. And it's not like it was Steve's idea to play gay chicken. He can hardly be held responsible for the consequences.

It Don't Get Hot Like This In Heaven Square: N5 - Alien Planet Tony gets thrown into a dimension where the dinosaurs survived and evolved as the dominant species on the planet. This universe's version of Steve Rogers has terrifyingly sharp teeth and an even tougher skin than usual, but other than that he's Captain America through and through. He's also incredibly attractive. And Tony has never been known for his impulse control.

Making Up The Reasons Square: Y1 - Writing Format: Character Study The Avengers all get reverted back to the age when they lost their virginity. It's funny until it isn't.

Those Who Mind Don’t Matter Square: Y2 - Left My Wallet In My Other Suit Tony is an omega and therefore coveted by most of the alpha population. However, to everyone's surprise and outrage, he gets together with Steve, a beta. When the mayor offers an omega's hand as a reward for his heroic deed, Steve wants nothing more than to be whisked away towards a better life. Anywhere would be better than here. He's devastated when the alpha chooses Sunset Bain instead. He never even looks at Steve, which makes sense, considering Steve looks nothing like a proper omega should, what with his height and muscles. It's probably better that he was spared the humiliation. And it's not like Steve has a chance to win the pirate's heart now that he's promised to another. Or so he thinks.

Where There Is Desire Square: Y5 - Stretching The cave that Steve and Tony stupidly get themselves trapped in demands a sacrifice of innocence to set them free. Steve offers to sacrifice his virginity. Tony fucking loves hates magic.

FULL REVIEW: Thanks to Them

I HAVE ALL OF THE THOUGHTS!

Hot damn, I don't know whether to go by topic or by chronological order.

Gonna go by topic. I don't think I have enough screencaps to go by chronological order

Luz: As someone else pointed out on tumblr, Luz's depression is very real. The guilt of helping Belos find The Collector and leaving Eda and King behind is still weighing on her. Granted, I do believe that she is enjoying her time with her friends and the actual date she probably had with Amity (off screen because FUCK YOU DISNEY. I'LL **** YOU. WU-TANG!), but every moment that she's alone with her thoughts is just thoughts of how she messed up. When Luz did her video diary entry I was starting to get upset because I knew that whatever Luz decided I wasn't gonna like. She has a bad habit of putting all the weight on her shoulders. I really hope she grows out of it because she's done it several times before in the show and I didn't like it then either. Luckily there was...

Camila: Probably my second favorite character in this episode. Man, she was great. Yes, it was cool to see Eda go from the lady who makes Luz run her errands to being the momma of Luz and King. But Camila had "world's best mom" before the episode started.

Like she started taking care of those kids, immediately. She did her research, bought books, asked questions. God bless Camila. And she also probably saved the episode for me because when Luz was gonna make her big terrible announcement that I knew I was gonna like, Camila made an interference play.

Interception! Gonna be honest, I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. Camila going to the demon realm was not in my Thanks to Them Bingo card. This is why I don't make theories or predictions because I can't predict shit.

Camila was my second favorite character in this episode. My favorite character ended up being

Hunter: I've said this about other characters but not Hunter, but I guess I'll say it now.

"You're my boy, Hunter. YOU'RE MY BOY!"

Seriously, as someone who donates $20 a month to the Wolf Conservation Center, it was so cool to see a character who loves wolves as much as I do. But that wasn't the only thing. It was fun to see Hunter get into things and have fun. He's gotten better at sewing. He's engaging with his friends more. And turning into a sci-fi nerd was the beautiful icing on the big dumb cake. Even my brother, who didn't like Hunter, ended up liking Hunter after this episode. And then we got my favorite line in the episode.

That's just great. Something I wish I would have learned at his age.

Gus: I don't have much to say about Gus except that he was very funny in this episode. If anyone asks why I didn't like the friendship between Tom and Marco in Star vs the Forces of Evil, I'm gonna tell them it's because Gus and Hunter did it better. He was the second funniest character in this episode. The funniest character in my opinion was

Willow: Someone was having a good time. See her poking people with that trident and her muahaha and her not liking Hocus Pocus and she was was just awesome in this episode. It also looks like things are inching closer towards huntlow (or as the Owl crew jokes "Winter is coming"). She makes him blush a lot and I'm just remembering how she held him when Camila fished him out of the water and her "be careful with him." I didn't I'd like this ship when it started but I'm all for it now.

and I didn't forget

Amity: ^This here^ was the moment when I paused (I was watching on YouTube TV) and said "Look at this. Look how good this is. Who could ever see this and think that it's bad or wrong?" She loves her so much. Amity was great in this episode and her line "I was a top student once" reminded me of the time during grom when she bumped into Luz and snapped "Watch it, nitwit" before realizing it was her. Amity loves Luz but I think there still might be some bully still in there. Not that I mind. Amity is still Amity. And of course the ambitious Amity would be the one to suggest exploring the human realm. And I'm loving the hair getting longer.

Vee: Sweet Vee. I'm not the biggest fan of her new form. Honestly I kinda wanted it to be Luz with freckles but I'll get used to it.

Flapjack: Is Flapjack Evalyn or just the last bit of Evalyn left in the world? I guess we'll find out. Good night, sweet prince. Honestly I was so scared that Belos was going to absorb him the way he does other palismans. Remember when he was trembling behind that tombstone? Have you ever seen an animal be legit scared? It's like that and it's heartbreaking.

Belos: Belos was terrifying in this episode. I'm glad we got official backstory after putting the pieces together during Hollow Mind, but I still want a full flashback. I don't know if we have time for it (because of Disney. How dare you? Wu-Tang!). Maybe it's just me being selfish.

Even though I said I don't make theories, seeing the titan's blood with an owl cork did get me thinking. My theory is that Caleb didn't move to The Boiling Isles full time right away. My guess is that he and Evalyn were seeing each other, hopping back and forth between realms, before Caleb decided to settle down there. So I guess either Evalyn or Caleb left a stash of titan's blood for whenever one of them needed it.

And I do agree with everyone else that I do think Evalyn was a Clawthorne. I guess that makes Hunter a Clawthorne too in a weird way.

Misc Thoughts:

The Noceda set up is the same as mine! A Switch and a PS4. You think that's a PS5? Hell no. Who buys a game console for $600? You must be out of your damn mind.

Screw you, you old bitch. Luz is too good for your shit art class anyway. I bet the beastkeeping kids over at Hexside would have loved Luz's griffin taxidermy.

I don't know who those guys were that gave Luz the Haunted Hayride flyer, but I immediately didn't like them. They just gave off a bad vibe to me. I'm guessing they were supposed to be human supporting characters for season 3, but for the first time I'm glad time was cut. No thank you.

The Cosmic Frontier stuff was hilarious. I thought it was Manny's (Luz's dad) thing but then I saw Camila freak out and then I was like "OMG *gasp* YOU were the nerd!"

Now we're going back to the demon realm and...I have no idea what's gonna happen next. I can't even guess. We don't know anything about The Collector so who knows what they've done to The Boiling Isles. I'm just as scared as you are.

what you said abt spiritshipping under that one ship bingo post is so real tbh. like im saying this as someone who does enjoy spiritship but a lot of the time it feels like people ignore the effects that season 3 would've had on any sort sort of relationship between the two. i used to be someone who thought they were soulmates however they become a lot more interesting when you interpret them as on again off again and johan trying to hold together a failing relationship bc like im with you on the "judai is kind of a bad bf" thing. sorry for rambling it's just like cool to see someone else who has a similar opinion on how spiritship would realistically work

YEAH!! YEAH YOU GET IT like i said, i enjoy spiritship! i think their dynamic is super interesting and has room for so much to talk about, but like 90% of fanworks surrounding it just Do Nothing For Me.... the events of s3 and how they effect jaden as a person are REALLY PROMINENT and hard to ignore!! ESPECIALLY if you're thinking about him having any sort of romantic dynamic with jesse. like...the Entire Situation With Yubel, with them POSSESSING JESSE'S BODY FOR A PRETTY EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, like how do you...discuss that?? post jaden-yubel fusion??? How do you navigate that topic?? It can't be easy. So it's like....if these boys are gonna be a Thing, they gotta put the work in it.

And I'm just not quite sure if Jaden especially is up to that task :,)

of course folks can do what they want and make their ship fluff for them, not my place to stop 'em!! i can enjoy some cute ship art in my time!! it's just a bit of a bummer how a lot of spiritship stuff just feels like "two cute anime boys kiss!!!!!!!!! ^__^" and that's it. theres a lot more to these guys! they both have issues! let 'em be teenagers who kind of fuck it up!

So many shark ships, is this my birthday??? lol

Let's start with my main otp of all time ever, Sharkface/Locus :3333 with the rest under a cut for sake of scrolling ofc

Despite appearances, Sharkface is actually the most well adjusted "just some guy" of the mercs since Siris is gone. And that I think can tug Locus back towards the realm of balance, make him realize hey this fucked up thing I have with Felix? doesn't need to be like this. Like sure they're both still fucked up freaks, but I think since Sharkface is actually capable of being normal about people stuff Locus' badly calibrated interpersonal compass could be bright back into better alignment. It might not be normal but Sharkface would be decently chill about Locus needing to start being a good guy in earnest and having a Person at the vet least is good for Sharkface. He's a social animal and needs to have People around to love and nurture or he suffers.

Which brings us to my next favorite, the ever-toxic "what the fuck is with these guys" ship: Shark/Felix >:) the only way I can see these guys is as aromantic and casually sexual but still somehow weirdly codependent. They 100% bring out the worst in each other, and really I can mostly only see this "working" in an extremely specific or modern AU.

The oddly specific one is a personal au of mine where Sharkface survives Armonia bc one of his assigned squad scrapes him off the pavement and gets him to medical. So that when Felix is falling off the tower like a meteor headed to hell Sharkface is like huh that looks like it's gonna suck and yoinks him sideways instead with his grapplehook. (Do not tell me he isn't any good with it you know that boy spent way too much time with his old squad doing dumb shit and stupid tricks) They both escape death by sheer dumb luck, Locus disappears like a ghost and the UAC runs the remnants off of Chorus into an escape Condor. It's uh. It's like that one post. Fuck. I can't find the screenshot but it's like enemies to begrudgingly working together and maybe me saving your life and you saving mine i feel some sort of minor obligation and i guess you're not that bad after all and we don't work so bad together and at some point it's just easier to stick together kind of thing. And with Sharkface he needs a person or people as stated above and Felix clings because it's weird to not have someone at his side and well they're getting work done and making money and the sex is good so why break a decent grind while it's still working out... ANYWAY. That, and enraged hatefucking while the wars still on. Those are the options but god are they chewy.

There's no real rhyme or reason to the order, truthfully these rotate in my top spot depending on the day lol but Sharklina is so. SO. ough. listen ok so they're enemies at first and Lina completely rocks his shit and thanks to the Skittles assholes he loses everything and they forget about the people they've crushed under a fucking skyscraper. He's hell bent on revenge, she's hell bent on redemption. which is extremely funny in light of his tattoo. they're both competitive and dedicated and passionate and neither one of them likes backing down, and honestly in like a modern au with them meeting at like idk an MMA match or something i think they'd kick each other's asses and then make out. In canon though they've got SO MUCH deliciously chewy baggage to work through and if they hadn't just fucking shot him bc they were running out of time and he declared his undying vengeance i think they might have begrudgingly found they had quite a lot in common over time and through a LOT of hand to hand combat. Ugh. They make me insane. Stubborn little fuckers.

a 'problematic' but evergreen fave. two unsc prisoners freed and pressganged by criminals, one acting in his former capacity as a psychological professional but likely without any licensure any longer, and only with the intention to hone sharkface into a keen blade of revenge to clip some loose ends from his life to make a cleaner getaway, or at least that's what I assume. he proves to be scheming to save his own hide towards the end. BUT WHAT IF he finds an odd attachment to this broken soldier, nearly suicidal in his desires for revenge, to quiet the ghosts in his mind? either as an intellectual curiosity or personal curiosity. i like the option of sharkface trying to dig into him in return with what little he knows of the guy besides the fact that he's playing his cards very close to his vest. that contrarianism can either work against price or right into his hands, but it's about grabbing the right leads and if he misjudges, the shark will thrash free and go right for the neck...

i guess i don't have a whole lot coherent to say but i do love to chew on this weird lopsided power dynamic and toss in a bit of shipping just to see where it goes. sometimes you get a fluff blend where they're both hurting in the core of them and deciding that actually this war is stupid/doomed/worthless and fucking off together to not heal persay but find some mutual comfort is nice. it's versatile because they're both tertiary and quaternary villains in 13 so there's entirely too much grey space to fill in, even though we've known the counselor since season 6 (technically)

now THIS one i had to chew on for a while because the only canon interaction they have is Kimball witnessing his "as long as I'm alive you're all as good as dead!" speech and shooting him in the chest. 🥴

but. in a world where he's captured instead maybe. Kimball won't let him at the freelancers and he's pissed. the freelancers killed the only people that ever gave a fuck about him, so the only thing left to keep him warm is revenge. Kimball knows a thing or two about having someone kill your entire family callously without losing a wink of sleep over it. She's a lot of tough love because she has to be as a leader, as a source of courage and a beacon of hope for her troops to look towards. But that might actually work on him. She might be able to convince him that you have to keep moving forward regardless, and tearing through innocents on your way to extract a personal revenge doesn't make you any better than the people who wronged you in the first place.

He'd resist at first, refuse to listen, tell her to fuck off, because what does he have left to hold if not for that last ember of vengeance? But he was put off balance when Carolina first apologized to him. Kimball's talked to him a few times. He's got a conscience in there even if he doesn't want it and the worst part is she's right. She's right and he hates it and the more he thinks about all the kids he killed on this side for the mercs the sicker he feels, and finally decides he'll fight for them, give up intel on the mercs and take the fight right back to the guys who brought him here in the first place.

I think to be anything romantic it'd take a very very long road of shark redemption first and probably a lot of awkward "we can't possibly, she's the president of the whole planet and I'm some asshole Merc that turned sides to fight for them/i can't possibly impose, i can't ask someone out bc they'll feel obligated bc I'm the president argh power dynamic" and he's probably aiding rebuilding efforts after and maybe Kimball feels compelled to check in with him occasionally and there's a fondness there that grows slowly and maybe he finally cracks a joke and it takes her by surprise and he's never heard her laugh like that before and uh oh that did it, the dam has broken and he'll take her out on lunch dates to make sure she does take a break sometimes, and after spending so long having to worry about looking after everyone else is nice to have someone who looks after her too, and aaaa ok good job thanks you made me ship it /o\ ...jerk (affectionate)

Hell yeah I have. THOUGHTS

I love these two. You have Ganondorf, a man with complicated motivations- Trained by his mothers from a young age, growing up in a nation where his people are seen as either theives or commodities by their neighboring nation. A nation which, by the point of OoT, has the shadow temple to answer for. Even if he lost sight of his original intent down the line, theres no doubt he was driven to defy the gods in the name of his people.

Then you have Vaati. A man who deliberately separated himself from his people, whose actions against Hyrule were not fueled by malice, but rather a consequence of his actions that he gave little thought to. He wanted to be a god, he wanted to abuse his power for his own entertainment later... what happened to Hyrule and it's people never mattered.

Both have died multiple times in pursuit of their goals. They are as similar as they are different.

They simultaneously have potential for mutual respect and mutual loathing. Any power imbalance and one coukd very well try to control the other. Both have problems with authority. Both have the ability to act as the sole antagonist of their story, and neither bows to the other.

...At least, until Four Swords Adventures. The first game Vaati's in canonically that takes place after Ganondorf enters the picture. Even ignoring the timeline, it's still the first one with Ganon and Vaati working together.

My "specific scenario" tho? They met in OoT in an uneasy alliance- both intended to take the triforce, but only Ganondorf realized the sacred realm opened early. Cue the "power imbalance leads to control" thing. Vaati is essentially forced into assisting Ganondorf create the hyrule we see after the 7 years. Thus the "i can make this so fucked up" square.

Especially cause. At some point during those 7 years they're basically alone. Ganondorf is separated from the other Gerudo from what we know, and it's just them. Its a toxic environment that gives rise to a lot of complicated feelings that culminates in all sorts of awful and interesting ways. They make up and break up every other week, it's great.

And of course, Vaati being as impulsive and revellious as he is, never gives up the chance to be a little shit.

Past OoT, i havent really put much thought into it (aside from my ToTK AU) but the idea is that Ganondorf tries to bring back Vaati each time he comes back. If he can't, he finds someone else. Generally when he does he holds something over Vaatis head to do it. (Like the dark mirror in FSA)

In ToTK, Vaati has all the memories of the past Ganons, but Ganondorf doesnt. So that in and of itself is an entirely different dynamic that STILL doesnt end too well. Though I suppose that really deserves its own dedicated post.

Also uuhh my multiship ass has the "They're fucking the same guy" one circled purely cause im also a sucker for shipping Zelda with either of them, in multiple games.

Okay for soup group I hovered over “platonic” and “friends with benefits” AND “Freudian”, and the thing is I’ve seen it all these ways, and they’re all GOOD ways, but I don’t personally have an opinion on which way. It’s just an excellent rebellion dynamic and maybe they kiss, maybe they don’t. I have seen GREAT work in the tag, but I’m just here doing the Canadian thing of going “they both look nice!” Gem should whip Impulse into shape.

Ohhh, Quackbur. They should NOT go to therapy because that poor therapist. They should just keep inflicting themselves on each other and only them and occasionally horrified bystanders. This is one that’s hit or miss for me if I go into the tag, cause I tend to not get a lot of joy out of genuine toxicity, and that is such a valid read of canon, of course it shows up in the fic. My style is more “my favourite guy to argue with” and once again my terrible hunger for banter undoes me, when some people are focused more on the romance feelings. I like romance, I just also like people to be emotionally incompetent, y’know? But when it comes to my trusted mutuals and their recs— yowza. We are all over that.

And I love that the ship exists and it brought on a new wave of DSMP shipping. Let’s have fun with the block men.

PISSA. Oh man. I kind of accepted that it was never gonna happen and I would have to find my Phil-shipping elsewhere, despite the cuteness, but then OUR SAVIOUR MISSA RETURNED and proceeded to chuck five steel chairs at us. He wants a WEDDING? I cannot in good conscience call this one underrated, I have seen my dash, but I still want to roll up to people looking for kinktober/Whumptober/flufftober prompts like “heheheheheh have you considered these guys? Maybe these guys?” MORE PISSA COME ON.

And also like, the curse of being a Phil Guy for like two years now is that I have Phil Opinions on his characters, so not all of it passes my bar for “would that guy say that”, but even the other stuff I’m going heheheheheheheheh. Husbands. Missa wants to kiss him so bad and Phil thinks it’s platonic and keeps giving him gifts. Heheheh. Kristin keeps shipping it in messages. I have a coffee and I’m here to enjoy this.
