My Big Pokémon Gen 10 Theory:

I've seen tons of speculation on what region future Pokemon games may be in, or what new flashy battle gimmick they'll have. And since I haven't heard anyone propose this theory , I thought I'd post it here for future reference!

TLDR: The Gen 10 Special Feature will involve getting rid of the turn-based battle system entirely and having manually-controlled Pokemon in real-time battles!

Why do I think so? Because they've been slowly testing it out over the last few years.

Legends Arceus introduced Strong and Agile styles, which allow Pokemon to attack multiple times in a row, breaking from the standard back-and-forth turn order already. Despite this, battles weren't in real-time in this game- enemies would still wait for you to input your attack before the rest of the battle proceeded.

But you know what IS in real time? Tera Raids in Scarlet and Violet. While internally the game still registers "turns" in these raids, if you don't input your attack in time during these raids, you can still easily miss out on attacking for a turn, while everyone else is still in the heat of battle.

Another minor but important change for this theory is battles now taking place in the actual overworld instead of a small arena that matches the environment. Allowing you to move around during the battle (Legends Arceus) or at least move the camera around freely (Scarlet & Violet).

And now with The Indigo Disk, they've introduced a new mechanic called "Synchro", that allows you to manually control your Pokemon and move it around, something that we know more from games like Pokepark and Mystery Dungeon. This I believe, is the second-last piece of the puzzle. Preparing us for the eventual game where rather than standing around clicking orders to our Pokemon once per turn, we'll instead manually control our Pokemon to move around, attack at any rate, and dodge enemy attacks just like in the anime! (I am a touch sad that this feature was introduced in the same games Ash Greninja got scrapped, but hey...)

But what is the final piece of this puzzle, you may ask? I believe it's figuring out what to do with the Speed and Accuracy stats. For the last 26+ years of Pokemon, the Speed stat decides who attacks first in a turn. But if turns are gone, then what now?

Maybe instead, Speed will now decide the actual movement speed of your Pokemon as they dash around the battle? A Regieleki would be able to become an actual blur of lightning, while a Shuckle would be practically immobile.

Or to make things simpler, Speed could maybe determine the attack rate of your Pokemon. An Electrode could maybe fire off 10 Thunderbolts in 5 seconds, while a Pincurchin might only be able to fire 2 Thunderbolts in that time?

Meanwhile, accuracy could tie into the literal accuracy of your moves. Moves like Magical Leaf could lock on to your enemies from across the map, while a Focus Blast could just fly off the map in the opposite direction you aimed it.

Or if they didn't want to go too overboard with this system, they could also just add a "charge time" setting to attacks. Where moves like Scratch can be spammed as much as you can tap the A Button, while moves like Solarbeam could take a solid 5 seconds or so to charge and fire.

But yeah, this is my big theory for the future of Pokemon! Let me know what you think, or if I missed any details! I can't wait to come back to this post in 3+ years when Gen 10 actually introduces "ZetaStretching" instead, where all Pokemon become oblong and all their moves become OKHO moves, haha.

Another character in the Sable's Pokemon IRL Cinematic universe, apparently people really liked her, so! I have made a blog for Mio! Basically, she was supposed to just be an NPC for Ren's Orthworm project and my hand proceeded to slip and make a whole ass design. Whoops.

Anyway, Mio is a minor! For the love of god no NSFW or I will block you on sight.

Pelipper Mail/Malice are on, Musharna Mail/Malice are off. The Pelipper one may change, but the Musharna will not.

If you want your character to have history with Mio, please, feel free. Her blog is probably gonna be updated the least out of my four (yes i have a fourth in progress don't you DARE at me), but she is a background NPC for the people okay.

To basically sum her up: she's a girl who worked at the Sinnoh Battle Factory and learned a lot about utilizing Pokemon from a young age, serving as one of it's trainers up until she started attending Blueberry Academy. She basically got there on a scholarship, lmao.

Mio is a very silly lil chef who's basically to sour food as Crispin is to spicy, but she's genuinely a good cook! Like with Pokemon battles, a meal must be well balanced.

She's also a member of the Biome Club! I will probably have to google-fu any answers to advanced questions but Mio knows a hell of a lot about Pokemon adaptation and environmental effects of invasive species and the like. She's just below the Club's leader in terms of intelligence, pretty much.

Mio. Absolutely comes off as a dumbass with a weird typing style, but she basically makes up for it in competence in what she does best, and the work ethic of a god. This is a girl who multitasks her way into straight B+s and nobody knows how.

Feel free to throw some silly shit this way, this blog is very unlikely to dip into the high stakes waters at any point. This is a firm Silly Only zone. (maybe with some minor drama/angst but we're mostly gonna be silly here)

This will be a major event to recreate a family bond between. After they told him that they were transitioning from male to female, Shehroz was fully supporting them.

- He is Aaron Adams’ childhood friend, but he is two years younger than the latter. Despite the fact that Shehroz came from a pretty modest family when he was young, and Aaron was from a rich one, Aaron didn’t care about that at all. He loves spending time with Shehroz and considers him as a little brother since he is an only child. He was in good terms with Dhilan as well but it wasn’t the same. He was there to support Shehroz after he lost his father.

- After Bernard Girikanan got the full direction of his business after stopping the madness caused by his own mother ever since their father died, Shehroz helped Bernard out as it was off to a bad start because of all the previous events. They became great friends and Bernard considers Shehroz as a mentor. The relationship between Bernard and Takuma is pretty much like Shehroz and Liv to say the least.

- She has tried the Gym Challenge as soon as she got her starter Pokémon Scorbunny, which she named Syon. She has done this Challenge with a specific team, but now she has many different teams to so she can face all the Challenges she can encounter in her way.

And just like her predecessor, she also dons the chairman’s logo on her jacket, but it’s in the front, heart side, rather than being on her back. However, she has a fairly unique logo on her back that is reminiscent of the Rose Tower.

- After doing the Gym Challenge, she was always seen alongside Macro Cosmos, so people thought that she was an intern in here. Soon enough, she was joined by her best friend Draggoun, who competed in the Gym Challenge at the same season as her.

- When she is in Macro Cosmos, she is always seen alongside a Shiny female Charibari (Cufant).

- She is in good terms with both Shehroz and Liv and respects them deeply. However, her friend Draggoun is not afraid at all to tease them almost everyday.

- She loves to go on Dynamax Adventures to hunt for the infamous Legendary Pokémons. She loves the adventure even more when she goes with Pivonia. The two got along very well as they both look for thrilling adventures.

- She doesn’t talk that much. Or we can rather say that she talks, but she isn’t able to say a lot of them. Nor all the words she knows are right.

- However, she is very expressive. So thanks to that we know her current mood.

- It was revealed that she has slight autism.

- She may not talk well, but she writes very well. Her handwriting is pretty beautiful and easy to read.

- To counter that problem, Shehroz taught her the sign language.

- So to resume her situation : she can’t really use the words verbally, but she can write in any situation. She knows the words but she isn’t able to express them that much. When she is writing, we can see that she knows the vocabulary almost perfectly.

- However, since she is now used to use sign language as she speaks, she is now understood by a lot of people.

- She is eager to learn new things. Everytime something new is in front of her, the curiosity is eating at her. She is a rather quick learner.

- Nothing is known about her past yet. However, Shehroz seems to know more about her than what other people know...

Yohann, what Pokemon species would you say are the hardest to design clothing for, in your opinion?

Yohann: I try to accommodate all body types, but I'd be lying if I said there weren't some that are harder to deal with than others. Some pokemon have body types that simply don't lend well to a wide variety of styles- think Pincurchin's spikes, Voltorb's body shape, or Luvdisc's flat and rounded shape. I am not the type to back down from a challenge, though. Ribbons and sleeves can go a long way.

Leavanny (and...Pincurchin...?) mail!

It seems that a Leavanny has made her way to Kai, one way or another, with a gift; whether it's passed on from her or someone else, there is a nice, hot cup of matcha of all things, along with some nice looking sweets. And what seems to be a rather unique looking soup; a sort of vegetarian play on chicken and dumplings, with Figy Berries and a sort of nice, warm veggie broth with some nice dumplings inside.

AND NOT ONLY THAT, HE HAS A MARRRRRRRRKKKKKKK !!!! a shiny cetoddle, with the snowy mark. my second shiny with a mark, Cetoddle the Snow Frolicker.... Set an alarm today at 5:15am but woke up at 6am because I slept at around 1am. I literally didn't sleep well because of the Pokemon Convention happening in Excel today. Went to Eddie's and arrived at 8am.

On my way off Prince Regent Station, I saw some fans queuing with their Pokemon Lanyards and I saw a Galarian Ponyta mural exiting the station and I literally shed tears. I've been a fan for as long as I can remember and this is my first time attending a convention and it's very near Eddie's place. I'm literally so happy today.

Went to Starbucks for a quick breakfast and went to queue in the line. I saw a lot of fans waiting to get in the popup Pokemon Centre! I'm literally in tears. I was trying to find a kind-of-big plush of Gardevoir but couldn't find one but Eddie managed to find a small Gardevoir plush which I bought along with the Pyukumuku, Snom, and Pincurchin pins, and a Dragapult shirt. Good thing that it only amounted to 50GBP otherwise I wouldn't have controlled myself very well, to be honest. I actually forgot to bring my Snorlax plush with me as I was planning to give it away to some random trainer but I was rushing to catch the bus this morning. I'm just so happy being there but was kind of bummed that they didn't let anyone else go and spectate the tournament and that tickets were actually sold out last month. Well, I only knew it like two weeks ago. I'll try my luck next time. Regardless, I am so happy today because I got to be where I would want to REALLY be... for a change.

Went to eat in Canary Wharf. It's a bit awkward not being able to talk about anything with Ed. The silence is weird... In a way, we're not like this when it's just the two of us. I'm not paying it much mind but it's kind of, I don't know, just weird, I guess.

Talked over the phone with Poks as she had some problems that not many of our friends know. Our relationship is the kind that only the two of us could understand. I consoled her and offered some of my thoughts. I hope she gets through it quickly. I mean, I know she would, because she's Emz Siose but I wouldn't want that to bother her that much. We're planning to see each other next year back in the Philippines. The goal is to have that hot girl summer that everyone will get jealous of.

Planning to see JC tomorrow and I'm kind of stressing what to wear. He's going to be the first Zamboangeno friend that I'll be meeting here in the UK and I don't want to judge myself for looking... I don't know, ugly? Well, I'll make it work. I always do.

Capping the night off with a late night dinner with Eddie.
