Hello! So I had a question abt dragons. In your AU do every rendition of dragons exist? Like Price seems like a very western dragon, do eastern dragons exist as well? Like a hydra, Wyvren, or Chinese dragons? It would definitely be interesting seeing a more asian inspired dragon.

I'm so so not normal about Kafka Been trying to draw but I'm too tired to so instead I'll write a whole block of text about why I think this character is amazing and deserves way, way, WAY more love from the community

Starting with the looks. She's a little itty bitty sized gremlin jackdaw girl in an oversized gardening coat and a hypnotic rubisk's cube. How to not love her.

But of course where she shines the most is in her character. She's a Columbian orphan who became Infected and had to survive on her own, dealing with gangs and being part of one herself, fighting everyday to see the light of tomorrow. This way of life had her build a "mask", a new personality adapted to this environment; one that made her like she was unbothered by anything, as if she simply did not care, that she was unphased to kill someone or face these things. Of course, in result, many people became scared of her, but she couldn't care; this way, nobody would bother her. That's how she kept herself safe.

That's when she joined Rhodes Island that she gradually let this mask of her fall and show her true personality; someone who cares deeply. She loves to take care of plants, she likes to give gifts or play with children, she worries about the ones she's close to, she also has been seen befriending some Operators like Perfumer...

And this is (holds my owl like that Lion King scene) all thank to HER. Silence my absolute beloved. If she had doubts about if her efforts are in vain, Kafka is the proof that THEY'RE NOT.

Yes, Silence can feel bad that she pulled Kafka into this whole mess of a prison break, being involved with situations that were unrelated to her, but, does she even realize what she did? Maybe her goal was just "discover what the hell Rhine Lab is about with Simon Co", but the results are, she has brought Anthony, Kafka, Robin and Donna somewhere safe. Somewhere they can be appreciated and loved, and won't have to worry anymore about surviving.

Kafka wasn't that unsatisfied with her previous life, it was just all normal to her, but when she met Silence, she discovered genuine kindness. And Silence may be naive, she has a heart of gold. Kafka knows that and if she accepted to help her break Anthony, it's because she wished to return the favor to Silence.

Now our little gremlin bird is sure being an absolute chaos, but she's living a far better life. And she just worries for the one who changed this for her.

PLEASE HYPERGRYPH I NEED MORE OF KAFKA. IDK make a Mansfeld Break 2 or whatever, have Jesselton come back, but please I want to see Kafka again. I want to see my stupid bird interact with my tired owl and supporting her. They mean the world to me

I started this soulmate au thinking okay this will have three acts and first act will take about 5k. Except the said first arc is currently 7.5k and as I lay in bed last night I realised it's going to take at least another 5k to wrap it up, if not more - what is this madness 😭

hi i wanted to share a dream i had recently. so it was about a new kirby game that came out and people were so hyped and stuff and in the game, it revealed a new knight called Lunar Knight and people were freaking out. so the funny thing is that someone made a post about her and tagged you in it and said "you know what to do @startistdoodles" and then you fuckin stole the character from the game and renamed her Prisma Knight. i literally dreamt that you successfully claimed a nintendo character as you own oc and everyone just went with it hahah.

I dont know what this'll start (probably not something that bad, this isn't Twitter), but I'm just gonna say it, I don't like romance movies. I am getting so tired of seeing a guy protect his girlfriend. Why can't we have movies about familial love? I, personally, want to see a guy fight along his brother, avenge a father, save a friend. Without romance playing a part in the story. This is probably just me being aroace and petty, but whatever, I'm getting tired of seeing romance in absolutely every story. You don't need to have two protagonists in love for it to be a good story. Now, I'm not saying that queer romance is bad, especially in children's stories, kids will get to see two girls fall in love and relate to it, or not be bigoted towards it. But there are so little good aroace representation out there, and it's getting so old seeing a romance story over and over.

5. What was their favorite toy/s?

Yard Darts. Fuckin, Yard Darts. The '70s was such a great time for Toy Safety! He and Derek -his childhood best friend and eventual partner- used to launch them at each other, and I mean hurl the fuckin things at one another when they were around seven. They both have a shit load of scars from them, most are faded now because they never went very deep into the flesh despite lookin like they'd go way deeper. These motherfuckers, they're so fun.

Outside of those, Cade had two Dinobot Transformers: Slag the Triceratops and Snarl the Stegosaurus. In all honesty, he has no clue how he got either of these, he knows they're expensive now and he's sure they weren't exactly cheap then. He assumes his mother either stole them to sell later and he hide them from her or he picked them from a donation box, or possibly the lost and found box at school.

He wasn't really attached to them, he let Tim play with them as much as he wanted because he knew Tim was smart enough to not destroy them. They gained significance later, durin the first two months of Tim's boot camp when Cade was alone with his thoughts... And Rodney. Or at least what was left of Rodney after Cade did what he had to do. For Tim, it's for Tim, he can't hurt Tim anymore and Tim can't make the mistakes I made. They became symbols that "I'm not like that, I was a normal kid, I didn't enjoy it when I did it."

He and Derek also had pump action BB-guns that they used to have mini wars with. They would over pump the ever livin shit out of them and end up with welts and bruises the size of baseballs with how fast the BBs went. Derek is sure he's still got a BB inbedded in his thigh. Cade doesn't remember what they looked like other than just bein generic BB-guns.

7. Did anything in their childhood explain why they are how they are now?

Besides watchin the River Drowning of 1990 play out leadin him to want to be a Game Warden later in life? Not really, he had a pretty good grasp on who he was from a really young age; I mean, thrust the responsibility of raising a child on a child, they grow up fast. Maybe that's why he went into the Marine Corps with the plan to be a Reconnaissance Man: tight-knit, family-type teams full of fierce loyalty, he was used to that atmosphere because he had created it for Tim back home.

He's got an incredibly even temper when it comes to just about anythin from raising a kid and tip-toein around volatile parents, but he's got a hair trigger temper when it comes to Tim, he'd deck anyone for so much as lookin at Tim funny for too long. He still carries that visceral feelin with him today, and he'll still act on it if he needs to.

8. What is their happiest childhood memory?

Is it cheesy to say when Donna and Rodney brought baby Timothy home from the hospital? (hospital is used lightly, it was more of an understaffed clinic with midwives.) The more he thinks about that day, the higher it ticks on his list of good memories even thought it's at the top.

Cade had just finished his homework after walkin home from school in the sludgy cold of February, he heard the tires of Daddy's Chevy crunchin the gravel driveway like they always did, too fast and flingin rocks all across the street. Cade felt the same wash of panic he did every time he heard it, rushed to clear his school papers from the kitchen table and make sure the ashtrays in the livin room were empty.

What he wasn't expectin was to see Mama with her arms full of green fabric. Cade knew what her belly meant, but he wasn't told when the baby would come. God, he was so excited all the prior panic was washed away with the need to see what was wrapped up in that green fleece. His daddy snapped at him for crowdin Mama, growlin for Cade to "wait a damn minute! quit actin like fuckin heathen! you'll see Tim when Donna puts him down!"

That's how Cade found out he has a baby brother named Timothy, Daddy yellin at him. Damn if he cared though, he just wanted to hold who he knew would be his favorite person for life.

10. If they aren't straight - what were some early childhood signs?

Callin them "signs" seems like it's somethin you need to catch before it gets worse. Or like there are textbook factors to look for. Gross.

When he started tryin to understand his feelins and attempt to express himself was in second grade, around eight years old. He asked another boy to be his Elementary school dance partner instead of one of the many girls who liked Cade, no, he wanted to dance with the curly haired, honey eyed boy with a thick accent and crooked smile. The boy scowled at Cade and thought it was a joke, a poorly made joke, but still a joke and that's how Cade played it off to not get hit or told on. It hurt. God, it hurt so fuckin bad to realize he was alone in how he felt.

Cade never freaked out and tried to will bein gay away, he knew that wouldn't work, but he also knew he could never tell anyone with the way everyone always talked about Them Queers. He didn't even know the word "gay" until much later, adults always referred to queer people as "Inverts" "fags" and "predators" when he was little, not to mention the common comparison of queer people and the real monsters of the earth.

11. Who was their first childhood crush?

Derek. Or, as Cade thinks of his name: 💘🔆🌈🌻👑💚Derek💚👑🌻🌈🔆💘 He is absolutely head over heels for this man. They aren't married and both hate the term boyfriend so they use partner and "my old man" as all good Southerners do.

Derek was his next door neighbor for his whole childhood, they were born within a few months of each other and their mothers were friends so they became friends. Safe to say they were around each other a hell of a lot. Cade initially thought he just admired Derek the way all best friends admired each other: thinkin he was so cool, and wantin to be like him. Turns out Cade didn't want to be like Derek, he just wanted Derek.

22. Did they sleep with any stuffed animals?

Cade didn't, but Tim did, so whenever Tim would crawl into his bed after a bad nightmare, a little stuffed deer was always there in Cade's bed as well. If he remembers right, it was a Bambi toy.

25. What type of kid were they in daycare/preschool?

He never went to daycare or preschool, and Rodney and Donna didn't see a need to spend money on either service when it wasn't a requirement to enroll him in primary school. If both his parents needed to be out, they'd leave him home alone. That didn't happen all too often beings as Derek's mama was a stay at home mother, Donna instead dumped Cade -and Tim once he was born- onto her whenever Donna was sick of takin care of them or wanted to go get high, which was often. Cade figures it was better than being left alone, or being around his strung out mother doing god knows what on the street.

DAO has really helped me be more inspired to do creative stuff. I'm actually really disappointed by the idea that later games don't have the Origin stories! But since I'm here, I just really wanna brag about my girls.

Aleandria Cousland is my main storyline. I finished her story all the way through Witch Hunt (though I haven't done the GoA yet). She's a baby, just 19 when her world falls apart, and full of optimism and faith and love. She grew up with a silver spoon and she knows it, so she tries, with every choice and judgement she has to make, to pay that privilege forward. She is the epitome of Lawful Good, with just a little bit of veering off the path of annoying righteousness thanks to her grey-moralled biffies. She and Alistair fall in stupid goofy love, obviously, and he trains her to use Templar abilities (she becomes better at it than him🤣). In the end, she becomes Queen of Ferelden alongside her devoted King. She chooses to ally with the Architect, and, while she doesn't quite regret it, she is uneasy with her choice for the next decade. (Then, Witch Hunt made me sob because she spent all that time and effort just to find her friend, to tell her she trusts her and loves her, and Morrigan doesn't have to do this alone! But Morrigan leaves anyway and I fell down sobbing at Morrigan's last look over her shoulder. Spending the time to get up Morrigan's approval as high as possible in DAO was so so worth it for the scenes with Morrigan calling Aleandria her friend and sounding like she was about to cry)

Lanil Surana is my elf mage and she is also Babey. She's aroace spec and her story is unfinished. Thus far: She's been in the Circle so long she doesn't remember anything else, and honestly doesn't care. Why do people keep asking about her elf heritage?? It means nothing to her. She's a mage. She's not exactly smart, but she's bright and strong-willed and confident to the point of arrogance. She is talented at magic, very rarely struggles, and all she cares about is more magic. And (what leads her into trouble) wanting her friends to be happy. Jowan wants to be a farmer and get married and give up his magic? Gross, but okay. She'll help if it'll make him happy. Ofc he's not a blood mage, he wouldn't lie to HER. She knows her friend, there's no way he could hide something like that--oh. oh no. She's still unsure of how she feels about being a Warden; a part of her remains in the Circle, where she feels like she will always belong, even if it meant being made Tranquil for what she truly believes is her own mistake. Going out into the world, seeing something bigger than herself, will hopefully help her learn empathy and perspective. There is more to the world than the Circle, and not all apostates are evil or deserve punishment. Morrigan especially is a good influence on her. Going back to the Circle to save it was the most heartwrenching and terrifying experience of her life and she struggles between her trauma and her growth when it comes to blood magic and freedom. (Extra: everything with Cullen still lingers in the back of her mind. WtFUCK was that?? What was he... talking about? Did he love her or something? No way. Maybe?) In the future, maybe she'll even find a connection to a heritage she's never bothered to care about.

Danae Tabris is a city elf. And she's ANGRY. Her whole life has been about being made smaller, quieter, and scraping by for survival. She is pragmatic and cold to strangers (esp humans), but not unnecessarily cruel. When the Arl's son ruins her wedding day, a day she only half-begrudgingly accepted for her single father's sake, despite having zero interest in her would-be-husband (or any man), Danae's anger is unstoppable. Saving the young elf women around her, protecting them from the monsters masked in human skin, gives her, for a moment, power. True Power over her fate that leads to beheading the Arl's son while still dressed in her wedding finery. Being killed for it feels more like a reward than a punishment, there is true pride in her when she steps forward, it was worth it to save the other elves and end the life of even one oppressor. But then Duncan offers her a life in the Grey Wardens. While she can't truly trust him, she latches onto the idea of more power, the ability to be stronger, faster, and FREE. That freedom and power is all that matters to her, at first. Could Leliana be the one that shows her that she can forgive the world for letting her down? And that humans can, in the end, be good and true and... worth loving? She can not only save a few young elves, she can save the entire country and love wholeheartedly, unreservedly. She will be capable of wielding power, yes, but also capable of Greatness. (Though, she'll never be comfortable with the idea of being a "Hero" and definitely disappears so people will please forget her face.)

because sometimes there are invisible tests and invisible rules and you're just supposed to ... know the rule. someone you thought of as a friend asks you for book recommendations, so you give her a list of like 30 books, each with a brief blurb and why you like it. later, you find out she screenshotted the list and send it out to a group chat with the note: what an absolute freak can you believe this. you saw the responses: emojis where people are rolling over laughing. too much and obsessive and actually kind of creepy in the comments. you thought you'd been doing the right thing. she'd asked, right? an invisible rule: this is what happens when you get too excited.

you aren't supposed to laugh at your own jokes, so you don't, but then you're too serious. you're not supposed to be too loud, but then people say you're too quiet. you aren't supposed to get passionate about things, but then you're shy, boring. you aren't supposed to talk too much, but then people are mad when you're not good at replying.

you fold yourself into a prettier paper crane. since you never know what is "selfish" and what is "charity," you give yourself over, fully. you'd rather be empty and over-generous - you'd rather eat your own boundaries than have even one person believe that you're mean. since you don't know what the thing is that will make them hate you, you simply scrub yourself clean of any form of roughness. if you are perfect and smiling and funny, they can love you. if you are always there for them and never admit what's happening and never mention your past and never make them uncomfortable - you can make up for it. you can earn it.

don't fuck up. they're all testing you, always. they're tolerating you. whatever secret club happened, over a summer somewhere - during some activity you didn't get to attend - everyone else just... figured it out. like they got some kind of award or examination that allowed them to know how-to-be-normal. how to fit. and for the rest of your life, you've been playing catch-up. you've been trying to prove that - haha! you get it! that the joke they're telling, the people they are, the manual they got- yeah, you've totally read it.

if you can just divide yourself in two - the lovable one, and the one that is you - you can do this. you can walk the line. they can laugh and accept you. if you are always-balanced, never burdensome, a delight to have in class, champagne and glittering and never gawky or florescent or god-forbid cringe: you can get away with it.

you stare at your therapist, whom you can make jokes with, and who laughs at your jokes, because you are so fucking good at people-pleasing. you smile at her, and she asks you how you're doing, and you automatically say i'm good, thanks, how are you? while the answer swims somewhere in your little lizard brain:

how long have you been doing this now? mastering the art of your body and mind like you're piloting a puppet. has it worked? what do you mean that all you feel is... just exhausted. pick yourself up, the tightrope has no net. after all, you're cheating, somehow, but nobody seems to know you actually flunked the test. it's working!
