people so often interpret sazed as taako’s ex, which like, to each their own obviously, nothing wrong with that, but i think its so so much more interesting to interpret him as taako’s apprentice instead. and like all we have to go on is that he really looked up to taako who sort of taught him how to cook. “thought taako hung the moon and stars” or something like that iirc. which brings so much more depth to taako’s relationship with angus if sazed was to taako then what angus is to taako now, someone who idolized him and saw him as a mentor.

it puts some of the conversations taako’s had with angus into really interesting context. like the fact that the first person taako’s (ever?) told about what happened at glamour springs (which he didnt know at the time, but was sazed’s fault) is angus. does he tell angus because he doesn’t want him to be betrayed (like he assumes sazed was, since he ran away)? or because he doesn’t want angus learning from someone so clearly unfit to be a mentor (both since he was unfit to be sazed’s, because he was dismissive to him, and because he believes himself to be a murderer)? he teaches angus magic and cooking. when he implies that angus might become as or more skilled than him he jokes about striking him down. which is exactly what he did to sazed when he wanted equal share.

but taako redeems himself with angus. he mistreats angus in the beginning, bullying him and dismissing him and generally being a dick, but as angus becomes taako’s apprentice, he’s more open and a little nicer. still “open” and “nice” in his own way, but definitely more than he was before. learning from his mistake, letting angus in and being encouraging and honest in the way he wasn’t with sazed.

small receipt because im seeing a lot of people comment on harrys state of mind when around jeff or olivia or the stunt crew. my new-ish bf recently took me on triple date with his two best work bros. one of them is married to an italian man, and during dinner we mentioned coachella and my bf made a joke about me loving harry more than him. the two guys (colleague and italian husband) casually said that they had met him over christmas in italy and that hes even more gorgeous irl. obvs i lose my mind a little bit but try to keep cool and they tell me the story of how the husband has this really good friend who has a house in the same town harry does. over christmas they went there with her, and then they went out to lunch and ran into harry, olivia and a bunch of other people, including some kids. nothing new here, but what i thought was interesting was that they said that their friend went up to harry to say hi because they've hung out before, and that he gave her a hug, introduced her to olivia and they all had a brief conversation. afterwards the three of them commented on the whole thing, and apparently the friend made a quick comment about how it had felt a bit awkward and he was colder than usual. i asked them if they had felt that way, they said he was very kind but def a bit aloof, and that the atmosphere felt a little weird, but that they wouldn't have noticed but their friend did because she said that he's usually super bubbly and happy and charming and that day he felt a bit off, and she had never met olivia before. i obvs was super interested in knowing more, but they didnt share anything else and also said that their friend barely said anything else about it so they didnt want to pry because shed basically never told them about him before and it felt like she didnt want to gossip. i just thought it was interesting that someone hes met alone would pick up on such a different vibe when hes with her. also the italian guy made fun of his husband because he had no idea who olivia was and when they told him they were dating he thought it was a joke for like an hour. oh also she was wearing the love on tour jacket which is how they were able to spot them right away and both husbands thought it was a bit weird lol.

#this is gonna be me talking in tags today #ive been rather sleep deprived lately trying to keep up with everything around me #and its been taking a toll on my health like #if i go too long like this i tend to feel more lethargic and my allergies kick in #i got a sore throat bc my room has been Freezing and then i get headaches way way easier #often times my face will flush but its just my nose and idk why #well anyways lmao i just aint feelin great due to lack of sleep #so i emailed my teachers and stayed home and others might say this wasnt it #but i can barely get to sleep at all these days and just bed ridding myself #seemed like the only way for my body to be like #'fine 🙄 u can sleep' lmao #thats actually one of the worst symptoms is im restless i just Cant grt to sleep no matter how hard i try #ive had a couple days where i was running on 2-3 hours bc i spent even longer Laying there #anyways i hope this makes a difference im tired of feeling tired and shitty #luckily my mood has weirdly been high #its just my sleep and health that are low #i think when the sleepiest soldiers are unable to get sleep thats when u know smths wrong #i think also so much is happening and me trying to keep up is taking more outta me than i expected #im a gal who gets overwhelmed easily even if im happy w whats happening lmao #tho im not Happy im more In a Good Mood lmao #side tangent but i HATE being an adult who doesnt have like idk Help lmao #like my dad was so nice to me sometimes and helped me sometimes #i could go a whole day sleeping bc id be fucking exhausted #and hed qake me up and ask me when i last ate and if i couldnt decide but itd been too long #hed make smth for the both pf us or hed make it For me and id just be able to like recover lmao #ah adulthood is hard lmao #alright im done #gata #no need to read <3 yall
