One time for a history assignment, we had to write a personal ‘declaration of independence’ from whatever we felt like we needed to be independent from. School, work, parents, etc.

On that assignment, it was explicitly stated that (since my teacher is amazing) if we made out project look like the actually declaration of independence (coffee/tea stains, burned edges, cursive writing, etc), he’d give us extra credit.

so I, very much wanting that extra credit, looked up a picture of the original Declaration of Independence and- *gasp* what’s this? All the Ss are written like cursive Fs?

Confused, I turned to google. Apparently, they used to write the cursive, lowercase ‘s’ like a cursive, lowercase ‘f’.

it took way, way longer than it should’ve, I messed up the formatting and spacing, and made way too many spelling errors to count, but eventually, I did it.

I made every single letter s on that page into a letter f

15. Favorite book you read for a school assignment?

OOOOH I was in French and i read a book i think it was called the running away of Jamie or something? But in french yeah?. Back when I could actually understand French quite well but I loved that book so much I read it with the Google translate open beside me on the computer so I wouldn't miss a single word. It was about a teenage girl who crashes her bike because she's sad with self destruction on her brain and realizes while in the hospital she's gotta get outta here. She backpacks along the coast, she gets shown kindness by squatters and hippies along her way. An old grandma let's her spend the night if she helps with the farm chores on the morning etc like it was FULL of the kindness of strangers and self discovery amd when she finally finds her dad he immediatly takes her in and his new wife ends up adoring her. God I need to find it again. I wonder if I could find it in English. 😚

20. Preferred place to write?

For small ideas its the notepad app on my phone. For bigger things I have my random small notebooks. But MOST of my writting is in my big fancy dream journal. It's the closest I've ever come to completely filling up a journal its so satisfying.
