Seeing people argue over shipping a aroace character is somewhat annoying to me. I'm aroace as well and I do not care if someone wants to ship a aroace character unless they're outright erasing, denying, and/or mocking the characters aroace identity. I probably mostly feel like this because I've been active in online fandom spaces since 2013 and I've seen these arguments on here over and over (ESPECIALLY back in 2014, that was the worst time to be on tumblr) to the point where I'm tired of it and want to enjoy the character in peace. Every aroace person has different opinions on this topic and that's fine. I feel like the only people that shouldn't be talking are allos, y'all don't experience what we experience so you can't speak on it.

idk the fact that hermitcraft, empires, the life series, and the qsmp can all exist not only without incredibly prevalent misogyny problems but with the women on these servers being treated with the same amount of adoration by the fans as the men despite being outnumbered by men on all of them tells me that maybe the misogyny problem on the dsmp had absolutely nothing to do with how many women were on the server but with how they were treated both on and off camera

I whine a lot about latin and being graded on it sucks and grammar is hard and annoying BUT i just saw someone be a dickhead about learning latin so GUESS WHAT MOTHERFUCKER i'm gonna list everything i love about it.

even before we could translate shit and just wrangled dry grammar and vocab i have such fond memories (well credit goes to our teacher there)

like the entire class just marching around the classroom all chanting "is ea id! eius eius eius! ei ei ei!" etc it was so much fun

stopping the time to see who can decline a noun the fastest! to this day if i get stuck i just mentally chant "imperator-imperatoris-imperatore-" suuuuuper fast

also so many words just make sense! like some vocab is literally just like in my native language or in english. and other have helped me so much while learning french and some spanish! it's all! the same! roots! and for my language-loving ass this is actually paradise!!

caesar!! an annoying bastard with six-line run-on sentences where nothing makes sense but we literally read THE ORIGINAL CAESAR BOOKS. in their original language. the way he wrote them. that is SO COOL and impressive!!!

the same applies to cicero! and catull! they are so well-known and i read their original texts without error of translation or nuance lost to language differences

i read about the eruption of mt vesuvius in the original, ORIGINAL actual source used by historians to learn about this!! i literally read the original wording of pliny's letters *AND I UNDERSTOOD* (mostly)

martial was a funny motherfucker and i analyzed his poems in their original language! i could see (if not necessarily understand) ever linguistic twist and joke he wrote into them! the ones that can't be translated! i read those!!

I can't remember who said this, (if ur the one who made this point originally, pls comment on this post so I can properly give credit pls and ty) but the Uchiha and Senju were clans that are essentially the same, the main difference being appearance and also the fact that Uchihas have the Sharingan while the Senju and other clans don't.

For eg: The Uchiha have a more homogenized black hair, pale skin, and dark coloured eyes, while Senju appearances have more varieties (from what I can tell)Indra and Ashura Otsutsuki were BROTHERS.

They're not different races. If you asked me, I'd probably say that a good chunk of currently active shinobi clans are probably indirect descendants of Ashura or Indra. (Most likely Ashura since the it would give other clans a chance to develop their own signature jutsu)

Also, it's really insulting to compare an anime situation where the author just kinda bs and brought in characters who's only role was to move the plot forward, to real life problems that POC experience. (I am not a person of colour, but I am someone who has been made fun of being Asian, [that's not important rn])

why people not enjoying the dk scenes? I dont get it at all

I think dk fans are enjoying the scenes or at least the majority are 🤷🏻‍♀️ but i have seen a fair few fans who arent happy or more… are frustrated which I can understand to a degree.

Like, you’ve waited 4 seasons to see your ship actually get somewhere solid and it feels a tad bittersweet since most had likely hoped for an actual relationship by the end of the show which I can’t really fault people for. Like actually seeing dick and kory as a couple but we aren’t going to get that.

It sucks and if anyone has paid attention to my rambles over the years since Titans started, I dipped and dropped several times where I didn’t feel dk were treated as a priority which they should be; a large portion of the titans comics has dickkory at the centre. Obvs its not all it is but it is a pretty big ship within DC and at times it has felt like dk were being pushed aside. I do wish they would have brought this dk loveliness in s4 forward to s3 cos literally no one needed the briefest of rekindling between dick and b*bs like i vented so much when i found that out about s3. It felt so unnecessary and served not really any purpose. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Idk, I can’t speak for others but I do see why people aren’t 100% happy with dickkory but you can’t do anything about it. Me personally, ima take whatever dickkory content i can cos i just love them in any form, media, snippet but i also have zero expectations with Titans and dickkory which has been beneficial. I don’t get disappointed cos I’ve not gone into a season of Titans with any dk expectations since like the start of s2 😂 at this point im just gonna sit quietly in my lil corner and eat up any dickkory scenes and then be done since the show is ending.🤷🏻‍♀���

And I was like wait a min that kinda looks like d ones from the book so i went to see if was true and yep

At 1st duck's jobs are more centered on power,on bieng a higher authority figure, someone who is respected, admired and successful. He views himself above the rest, he said one needed aggression to get ahead in workplace, (u know w/ the attention freaks part lmao),he narssistic, hes selfish, and is always strivings for better positions, better everything (the vending machine, wanting a better job etc)

He doesn't like this job, he failed at his work tasks, and no one is taking him seriously.

When the screen lady starts singing about stress n shit I was like hold up

First we see, him on the beach with a crab offering him pills. Relaxation=drugs?? An escape from reality perhaps 🤨

Then him walking on a tightrope with a bunch of red things under him (portraying his struggles with his inner demons maybe?? Showing that he is or was barely keeping himself from falling to them??)

This whole thing. The line segments with the relaxing never being an easy straight line,(gotta go thru hell 1st b4 ur happy type of thinking??) And also the colors on the diagram. It's our 3 main guys. Red duck and yellow. (I'll dissect this ltr too no time rn😔)

And this. The coins, (cryptocurrency?? financial issues??) The screw(shitty work jobs maybe) the crab(drugs) the red snake(inner demons?) And the green thing...idk what that is it has scissors n looks like its shushing(untold secrets/issues?) Maybe ita part of himself he doesn't like or harms him

Duck is forced to like his job. He tries to go along with this whole bs, but he can't and snaps causing the hand accident. Is that what happened from before he was dead? Did he cause the death of someone? We know they all died at the same time different places.Then we see ltr that his jobs aren't as powerful as before, he is a mailman, hes a struggling artist, those jobs usually arent seen as impressive as say a CEO. Is this lore👀 could it be a bit of backstory for duck👀

Next we have Red: (Doctor, Barber, boss 2 whole company, horseshoe maker) His jobs are more concentrated on responsibility and expectations. A lot of ppl rely on doctors to help them out, a lot of pressure is laid on their shoulders especially with serious situations. With barbers you want them to give you exactly what u asked for, or at least something acceptable if u cant think of anything. Bosses are bosses. They're literally in charge of a shit ton of things. They keep everything running smoothly cuz 1 wrong move and everything starts going haywire. And horses need shoes to walk I guess

Notice how red is kinda... negligent? I wouldn't say lazy hes not. But remember how he would always want to do something else besides what they were doing? Or be anywhere else besides in the now? He didn't want to do anything at all in the 1st ep deciding to just chill. He didn't want to acknowledge yellows sadness in the Death EP, I guess he didn't want to deal with it? He wanted to meet a real fam, saying that the 3 of them weren't it. The whole road trip breakdown and "Im not going back to that house"?? Very interesting 👀

Yellow: (lumberjack, icecream man, fisherman, assembly worker, therapy patient??)

Yellows jobs r more centered on labor. They're average jobs regular ppl like u and me could get whenever. They usually don't ask for degrees or sumthn just experience perhaps. They might be easy, but there is a form of danger to them Lumberjack? You chop up wood dude, you could easily lose a limb or die. Ice cream man? Well you could always run over someone and uh, stranger danger? Fisherman? Fall out and drown or get lost at sea Assembly line worker? You saw what happened the same as the lumberjack (Trust me I work at a GE and ppl r always getting hurt)I got nothing 4 patient 😔

Besides the assembly one(I'm not counting it it was a lesson), the other jobs could be viewed as experiences.

Lumberjack- helping build the shack with his dad (Roy was there)

Icecream man- its icecream. lot of us go after that car. Especially children.

Fisherman- going fishing for fun, could be a bonding experience idk

Therapy patient- c'mon

There's a lot of shit I didn't cover but it's fine. Everything is so cool and fascinating I'm losing sleep to this whole thing. I'll talk more about it later I'm tired n it's 5am I've got 2 hrs to sleep.

Edit: yo I'm literally at work rn but I realized something. Yellows jobs are repetitive too. A cycle of things that are done a sort of loop. Lumber jacks, assembly line workers, etc etc usually focus on doing one task only, over and over whether it's screwing in bolts, chopping wood, serving food doesn't matter. It's repetitive, meaning you don't have to worry about changes bcuz there aren't supposed to be. You become accustomed to it, it's reliable.

This might've been a bit forshadowing about the way our 3 characters have to start the same routine in the same house again and again, a seemingly endless loop.

Did y'all notice how yellow was extremely against the road trip idea? And the death episode? He didn't want the routine to change. he didn't like it was confusing to him. And just when he's getting used to a change it all collapses on him. Man :(( this show is so cool fr I'll continue dissecting ltr gotta go now

as a canonfag i rly gotta contend with odas choices regarding bepo and his "usefulness" in fights, since he really doesnt care to make him look serious or cool im trapped within that area and gotta build headcanons in accordance to the scripture

all this bs is just to say that i love the idea that bepo going "sorry i wasnt of any help" is such a unacceptable topic, and law cut that train of thought so quickly and harshly in the past - so at this point bepo doesnt bring it up to him ever anymore. its a thing of the past (until im proven otherwise by canon- unlikely)

Especially regarding his personal value - bepo have not forgotten how hard law fought to help him build his self esteem, going back to old self bashing habits would be hurtful and ungrateful! bepo stays strong for him. Bepo did have moments of feeling useless but that was along with the rest of the crew, a communal frustration.

When it comes to fights and law rejecting the idea that bepo doesnt fight hard enough or is not useful enough, "making law do all the work" i love imagining law Hating that bepo could think that he Has To fight. No. No thats awful. What is good of law himself being strong if it cant keep his most important people away from danger. Its not about bepo not being strong enough or that law thinks bepo cant handle the hurt - oh he knows. He knows he can handle anything if its for his sake, and the thought is very Not Fun to law (ty wano moment that led nowhere for giving us law saying "My nakama would rather die than talk, dont you dare underestimate them" when they were captured. mwah)

But im imagining law as a teen being Very Serious when confronted with bepo's apologetic "sorry i couldnt help you and you did everything yourself" - law telling him straight up and very bluntly that if it were up to him - he wishes bepo didnt have to fight at all. and if bepo says something about "having law's back" he would simply say that bepo does, as it is true. he and the rest - they make him strong. They had plenty of those talks because bepo's insecurities dont just understand things first try.

Idk if this is coherent at all im having my classic ramble before bed but its a thought. Law as the sole powerhouse of the crew being very willing to take on that burden and with a firm stance theres no Need for bepo or any other member of his family to fight, and god forbid protect him.

I just read the surprise/early update and the sound I made followed by "Torielllll....! :(" after I finished... the anguish I felt is indescribable. This poor, poor woman, if only she knew why this feeling of not knowing what is "real" was because of the resets... You captured the feelings of terror, discombobulation, and bewilderment perfectly. A perfect punch in the gut!

oof yeah i feel in hindsight Toriel learning about the timelines was under-explored. but like??? now i realize she'd have permanent deja vu from all the reloads that weren't erased with a true reset. (which, in AFR universe, isn't even a guarantee) she's suffered from this ability, more so than anyone else as she's the only one to truly know all the kids who've come through the Ruins. (Asgore is also the only other guaranteed one, but uh, we already know his... baggage... with the reloads...)

anyway when she finds out, she's going to go "ok? insane but you have scientific evidence let me adjust to this wild new information" to "wait wait were those unstable years when the kids fell REAL? my kids actually DID kill me? HELLO?" and that's going to be. interesting to explore!

i feel like it could even be an EARLY reveal! I feel like Hol specifically is going to want to apologize for what they did. And now that I have opportunity to explore how Asriel is going to explain the age-up is more than just "oh yeah i was a flower for a while" cause. Toriel KNOWS the amalgamate experiments are (vaguely) recent. She fired Dr.Alphys over it. She knows the details now. So Asriel's explanation of being a flower for years in secret makes no damn sense if they've grown to 16 years old when they died at 12.

So yeah, that's going to be something that'll be pushed to a boiling point in the next chapter(s). HOW exactly is she going to handle all this??? like obviously, she's not going to treat this the same if this were adults committing these horrible acts. they're children. Toriel will continue to love them and forgive them because it truly is not the same situation as it would be with, say, Asgore making the calcuatled decision to murder innocent people. like Hol thinking they're some adventurer badass and killing a monster is very much different from that. (and yeah Asgore is more complicated as it relates to war and the barrier and all that bla bla)

Anyway rambling aside i really really look forward to exploring this. cause like, frankly, toriel canonically has all that angsty bs that people put on sans (when he doesn't even remember reloads or gets killed except last minute in no mercy runs 🙄) like toriel had 6 human kids who canonically reloaded around her. give me THAT angst and exploration of that's consequences. I like getting the chance to explore more of Toriel's psychology, baggage and her journey to moving past that. i'm really sad we don't get to see how toriel improved as a mother and person in AFR but rather just that she did. now we get to!!! fuck yeah!

but yeah god what a horrifying, truly awful thing to experience. like on one hand, she must be relieved "oh so there's nothing actually wrong with my reality i don't have a life altering memory related mental illness (yet)" but also "oh so that was all real and i can never truly look at these kids without knowing they've done something truly, truly unforgivable to me. (but i will forgive them)"

AND NOW i'm thinking that toriel had to been told by flowey at some point what they've done to her too. in one of those reloads, flowey likely confessed to get a reaction from her. after the shock of it, she'd pretend it didn't bother her to forgive them. and that'd build up resentment because Flowey doesn't want to be forgiven, they want punishment and consequences and for it to have mattered.

Im really having trouble working out the climax of TF and i want to wrangle it out here but if i mention it it will potentially spoil the lead up but also sometimes its not about not knowing whats gonna happen its the tension from knowing whats gonna happen but the charas dont so you just stare at their slowly impending doom like a train wreck so 🤹‍♂️

ANYWAY incomprehensible rambling/potential spoilers for TF for chapters 10 through 18:

The Death Anchor is a former ballistic missile with a detonator still intact unbeknownst to Zoda. I would like to use this somehow but idk how even though i already have plans to start foreshadowing its involvement soon (like c10 soon) lmao. Like the Arrows come back later and all but Zoda is...at this point not really a presence in the fic and I don't wanna bring him in just for the sake of it. Unless someone else is affiliated with Deathriddle and eventually finds reason to use the stolen missile as it was intended for.

Similar kind of thing with Don Genie where I vaguely thought of bringing him in for funding Blood/affiliation with BS Group/is he also associated with Deathriddle??? who knows but didn't wanna just drag him in as a cheap easy villain. Like. He is an arms dealer and the Death Anchor is a stolen missile but what reason would he have to detonate an asset unless like. It was no longer useful or actively harming him or to sacrifice it for something more useful to him??? Idk

At first I only had the idea of one BF plotline but it would be funny if like. Rob meets the Ab Initio BF first for accidental lunch outing and then gets kidnapped another time by a diff BF (Black...Falcon??? To signify he's closer to BS???) and when he notices he can even tell the diff between BFs now he's like god fucking damn it I am getting WAY too familiar with Falcon's face

Wondered if it was too cheap to do an eviler evil clone plot. Realized they set it up themselves by saying BF isn't the only Falcon clone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

BF vs BF moment with Black trying to either bring in or terminate Blood on BS' orders and the I will be the true Falcon thing blah blah

The amount of power that Cap has to (reluctantly) call on will only increase as time goes on lmao. This has always been a man vs self fic or "man vs new untold power inside himself and the morality of such" fic but i also don't want to just fridge an eviler evil clone or even the main villain just like that as a lazy way of getting the hero to kill and angst. BS already got dealt with unsatisfactorily in GX story!

Blood isnt going to die i like him too much for that lmao. That being said that doesn't mean he's above targeting Rob (even if he likes him in his own weird way) to get CF to pay attention to him. I thought about an injured Rob still asking a really incensed CF not to kill Blood after yeeting Black (and BS himself if i go that route lmao) and CF freezing would be an interesting scene and BF getting pissed also and saying not to pity him he's TRYING to fight his RIVAL here it's his ONLY PURPOSE (even tho he knows deep down he doesnt have a snowballs chance in hell of winning after seeing CF level the fucking track)

This goes back to what i was saying about Rob with his weirdass fucking friendships lmao. I just think it would be an interesting character moment for all three of them. Rob asking for mercy for an enemy. Blood not knowing what the fuck to do when his purpose for so long won't even fight him. CF going what am i doing. What have i become. And so on.
