Storytime: When I was in middle school one of my friends started spreading this rumor that I was a serial killer just cause I told her that I loved true crime and wanted to be a forensic scientist. It also didn't help my cause that the theme of my birthday party that year was "haunted house". Anyway, I spent most of middle school being the "scary kid". That's why I always try to come off as "docile and sweet" whenever I interact with people irl.

my best advice for those who are scared to be themselves or don’t feel confident is to say “fuck it” to those who make you feel like that.

i know it’s hard, but there’s nothing more beautiful and radiant than someone fully embracing who they are. Embracing all your faults and your “imperfections” (no such thing, everyone is perfect in their own way) and embrace it. Embrace being different. Embrace being you. Don’t let anyone try and change that and quite certainly yourself.
