Not quite as clingy as he was with Nayuta, there are still situations where you might be wishing for a moment alone while Kanata thinks it’s best to stick close. He disliked you walking away from him while you were fighting and even if he agreed to give you a second, he wants to at least know where you’re going in case he has to check up on you. You don’t know why he micromanages when he doesn’t care about your independence any other time but there’s a deep-seated fear within him that whispered in his ear you could disappear just like his brother did once, with a more permanent outcome because he couldn’t get lucky twice. Even when not fighting, he doesn’t get sick of you being around all the time and is perfectly content to spend most hours of the day with you (even while making music as long as you weren’t a complete distraction).

Kenta Mikoshiba:

It partially has to do with being behind bars but he can’t help but communicate with you almost every second of the day, sending messages consistently throughout the day, getting anxious when you don’t reply quick enough. He didn’t think he was clingy but emotionally, he relied on you a great deal to both stroke his ego and soothe the depressing thoughts that he had on occasion. He didn’t want you to be some mindless drone who just tided him over with fake words, but he wanted to know you heard and saw him as he was, willing to support him anyway. Kenta does need to learn some emotional regulation as it can lead to a situation where you feel weighed down by his constant communication but it did mark you as special, since he didn’t reply or bother with anyone like this often (if ever).

if it weren’t obvious enough, iori is a big fan of jewelry. he has a whole storage system dedicated to his collection, made up mostly of high-end watches and personalized rings. while he holds an extremely flashy style, he’ll only buy pieces that speak to his personal taste rather than purely expensive ones to flaunt.

ryu:

will always want to be the little spoon, regardless of height/size differences. he likes the pressure of your body hugging around him, and once you latch onto him, he will not let you go. will likely end up burrowing underneath you overnight, along with your half of the blanket.

personal space? with ryu? not anymore. he’s so casual about being in your bubble at any given time. showering while you bath, changing in the same room, or showing public affection are a few examples of his openness with casual intimacy, all because of your close bond.

insists on doing housework chores alone. not only because he likes the work/doesn’t want to burden you, but nayuta is very particular about how things are done around his space. whether it’s little things like neat shoes by the door, or how his shirts and jeans are folded, he’d prefer being in charge so he knows where every detail lies.

a big fan of sharing clothes with you, should the two of you be of similar statue. he loves seeing you in his clothes and is not embarrassed to ask to borrow a nice shirt or cool jacket of yours for a day. if the two of you differ in size, nayuta would instead buy matching clothes for you to wear together, especially pajamas so he can admire how cute you look alongside him.

Paradox Live Episode 5 Review - Found Family And Blood Family

What makes a family? That’s the theme of this episode. Two opposing teams, one biological and one found, contemplate on what it means to be family. I do like how there are two perspectives on family from cozmez and Akan Yatsura. It really shows off that anyone can be a family as long as they choose to do so and not take them for granted.

In Akan Yatsura’s case, what family means to them is not losing anyone precious to them ever again after the Suiseki group’s boss died in a raid years ago. Because of this, the group reformed and the group became a new family. As a family, their vibe is much different from TCW. While TCW has a chill vibe, AKYR are very loud and rowdy. The beginning showcases that with Satsuki and Reo fighting as the eldest Hokusai watches, the dad Iori lazes about, and the mom Zen yelling at them to stop fighting. Like both TCW and AKYR, you cannot deny they’re a very harmonious family.

They’re also a found family as they chose to be with each other over being with their biological family. It seems like all the kids in AKYR come from difficult families, which is why they’re so close. Satsuki was abandoned by his biological parents for being too wild. Reo had to separate from his family due to financial difficulties. Hokusai’s father is in prison, and because of that he was isolated from society as he was branded a criminal’s son. They all had rather rough lives, which is why they’re so tight-knit.

The episode is from Satsuki’s perspective as he tells Kanata of cozmez what it means to be family. I think it’s really interesting that the one with the found family is lecturing the one who has biological family. However, what Satsuki says isn’t wrong. Family is precious and cannot be taken for granted. I particularly liked the scene with Reo and Hokusai—the one where Reo mentioned how annoying it is to search for family and feels as if Kanata was overprotective of Nayuta, but Hokusai retorted that he’d do the same if Reo or Satsuki were gone as he gives him a head pat. I think that moment is sweet since Reo did mention that his own family never looked for him, so knowing that Hokusai would search like a madman for him got him all flustered.

Speaking of cozmez, I do wonder something about Nayuta. There’s something that seems a bit…off? I can’t really put it into words and it’s just something I’ve detected. There is something rather cryptic about him. Was he really out on a walk and took a nap? And there’s his words to Kanata when they were arguing. It was as if he wanted Kanata to be free and such. Hm, maybe it’s just my imagination…

Anyways, while Iori and Zen weren’t much of a focus, I can say that they’re fine as fuck. Man, Paradox Live has some QUALITY character designs. Fun fact: all of AKYR are designed by Harada, a well-known BL mangaka; you might know her for her works such as One Room Angel, Yatamomo, Nii-chan, Color Recipe and more. I was quite surprised she designed the entire group because they’re rather unique and a step up from Harada’s usual designs for her original works. Anyways, back onto topic, I quite liked the three kids after watching this episode. Satsuki’s rough around the edges and a bit of a wild child, but he has a good heart. Reo’s adorable and cheeky, but is rather cynical. Hokusai is quiet, but knows how to handle people and situations well; the one thing that surprised me the most about Hokusai was his age; I looked it up and the tall green cabbage man is…24???? Iori and Zen are 28 and 27. Did the creators just throw dartboards to pick their ages or something?

The voice actor choices for all five of AKYR are quite interesting. Iori is voiced by Takayuki Kondo, who’s most known role is being the Japanese VA of Phoenix Wright in the Ace Attorney games. Zen is voiced by Shima, who is an utaite. Hokusai is voiced by Shunichi Toki, a rather rising VA who’s name I’ve seen in several stuff recently—one of his recent roles is voicing Freminet in the Japanese dub of Genshin. Satsuki is voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka, who is known for voicing Yuma Tsukumo from Yugioh Zexal and Reki Kyan from SK8. Reo is voiced by Shougo Yano, who’s most known for voicing Mafuyu Satou from Given. These are quite the interesting voice actor choices and I’m glad to see them because they have interesting rap style. I particularly like Hokusai’s voice the most because it’s soft, sultry and gives him a mysterious vibe.

Their song at the end was actually quite nice. It gives a more…Japanese feel in terms of background sound? I’m also quite surprised how well their voices mesh well together. I really like how they manage to make every group sound distinct from the other.

Also, before I end this review, I want to asks something. Did my ears deceive me or the ramen guy had Junichi Suwabe’s voice? But Suwabe also does the ending song as Buraikan? I know that he voices the black haired guy as he showed up in Episode 3…but ramen guy had white hair while Buraikan guy had black. Are they the same person? Are they twins? ⋆Iori is known to be cheerful most of the time. It seems like no one has ever seen him with a sad expression on his face, or even an angry one. (Maybe someone has seen him angry, but didn’t survive to tell the others- oopsie!) That’s how he is! We know he spent his past in a Yakuza group, sooo... We shouldn’t expect him to behave like Teletubbies-----

⋆Anyway, let’s imagine you being called up by your best friend, who told you to get dressed and prepared because they’re going to bring you to the Club CANDY. They would sound pretty excited about it, but you’re not so into this kind of nights. In any case you’d decide to give it a try and go to that club with your dear friend. That’s how you’d meet Iori for the first time.

⋆It’s incredible how he’d change his usual facial expression when he’d meet your eyes. You’d look so beautiful, but it wouldn’t be in a human-like-beauty.. you’d seem so angelic. Your skin as white as snow, your hair as dark as ebony and your lips and cheeks naturally as red as apples.

⋆He would stop talking to Anne only to stare at you and change his expression: he’d go from a laughter to a surprised look. His gaze would move through the crowd, reaching you even if you are among many people, who are drinking and chatting. Even you’d manage to focus your attention to that man. You’d see his features too: his lightly tanned skin, his sharp purple eyes, his black hair gradually lightened to purple in the ends. Without realizing it, you’d open your eyes wide as your heart starts beating faster than before.So that’s how you both would meet and become friends through the months.

⋆Iori couldn’t do anything but remind that night when he saw you and admit to himself that, yes, he does have a crush on you... On you, indeed! On you, who are so different from him. He would stare at you, sitting facing the garden, where you are spending some time with the other AKYR’s members (like trying to caress at least one of Hokusai’s cats, or laughing because of Reo and Satsuki, who are arguing again). Your movements would be so elegant, your laughter so melodious.. it would sound like music to Iori’s ears and make him smile kindly genuinely.

⋆”Uhmm.. Suiseki-san.”, your voice would wake him up from his deep thoughts. He would gasp a little bit, but then clear his throat and look at you, waiting for what you are going to tell him, waiting impatiently to hear your voice again.

“Zen has just told me you’ll need more help at Club CANDY tonight.. I’ll be happier to lend an hand!!”, you’d say closing your eyes and smiling brightly. He would stand up suddenly: “But-! You told me you were busy tonight..-”

⋆Unbelievable!! You’d be act so gently that I headcanon that Iori would really get embarrassed! (and we all know how hard is to make him blush!) I mean.. You’re really going to delete your tasks, maybe even the important ones, only to go there and help him...?

⋆”Oh.. Don’t worry about it! I can come up with something! I’m always happy of helping!”

⋆He’d appreciate also your voice.. oh, well.. especially your voice. I don’t know why, but I imagine him being awoken in the morning and then hearing your voice from the garden. After that he would reach the garden, trying not to make you notice he’s there, and open his eyes wide, finding you treating the plants and singing in the meantime, like a real Disney princess.

⋆It’s said that Iori doesn’t really understand when something is wrong or right, ‘cause he spent so much time in Yakuza.. but I headcanon he would learn it from you!

⋆He would see you helping others, even people whom you don’t really know and would be surprised at first, but then smiled kindly and even try to join you. Who knows? He would even end up enjoying it!

⋆But your gentleness is not the only thing which actually makes him wonder if you’re really human or not. But your being always so perfect. Probably you don’t even think you’re good enough at doing something. I headcanon him being able at least once to tell you to stop doubting of yourself. He’d tell you something like:

⋆”Uhm.. Listen, y/n. You should believe more in yourself.. I mean.. 𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓬𝓸𝓾𝓵𝓭 𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓽 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂𝓸𝓷𝓮’𝓼 𝓪𝓼𝓼𝓮𝓼 𝓲𝓯 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓭𝓲𝓭 𝓲𝓽!! Damn, you’re amazing at everything!!”

⋆Satsuki is the type of guy who likes setting up fights but, deeply inside himself, is adorable. Like, really.. He’s so cute that he can’t handle dirty jokes! But, despite his actual being, he kinda likes acting and speaking roughly.

⋆That’s why I pretty headcanon you and him meeting for the first time during a fight, in which one of your dearest friend has been involved by mistake. You’d see Satsuki behaving like a giant jerk, leading the fight and, even if scared, you’d also try to stop everyone there. You really wouldn’t stand any kind of violence, especially if unfounded.

⋆”Stop that, you idiot!”, you’d cover your wounded friend behind, standing in front of Satsuki, who would finally focus on you better. That’s when he’d stop, letting his Phantometal, his butterfly knife, fall onto the ground and opening his eyes wide. That’s when he’d notice your incredibly beauty: your skin as white as snow, your hair as dark as ebony and your lips and cheeks naturally as red as apples.

⋆At first you wouldn’t get along with him, oh well.. he would try, but you would ignore him, thinking he’s too violent. After some time he’d find the courage to tell you something like:

“Y/n, I... uhm... I wanted to tell you that... uhm... AARGHH. I’m so sorry, okay?!?! It wasn’t my intention to wound your friend. I’ve mistook him for someone else, I swear!!”

⋆Then you’d forgive him and try to know him more. You’d learn how sensitive and adorable he actually is; you’d see how he cares about other AKYR’s members and, even if he usually argues with Reo, how he actually loves him as a brother.

⋆The more you spend the time with him, the more you’d learn to love him.

⋆When he gets angry, you’d be there to make him relax, singing. He’d gently place his head on your lap, as you’d start caressing his hair and singing angelically. He’d close his eyes and, in just a second, he would forget the reason of his madness.

⋆”Who taught you how to sing, y/n..? Why am I asking? Well... ‘cause I think 𝔂𝓸𝓾’𝓿𝓮 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓶𝓸𝓼𝓽 𝓫𝓮𝓪𝓾𝓽𝓲𝓯𝓾𝓵 𝓿𝓸𝓲𝓬𝓮 𝓘’𝓿𝓮 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓱𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓭…”, he’d whisper the last part of this sentence.

⋆After some months he would start asking himself why he usually gets embarrassed when he sees you or why he seems to need to see you or hear your voice.

⋆I headcanon him even calling you after some minutes after you left AKYR’s house, heading to yours, only because he terribly need to hear your voice again.

⋆Anyway he’d be really confused and take sometime to realize that he actually has a crush on you. When he does, I think he would ask Aniki Iori for some advice and try to find the right moment to tell you everything he feels.

⋆I don’t think he would be insecure telling you about his feelings, ‘cause he’s too confident that also his quote demonstrates it: “No matter who the opponent is, I’ll knock them down!”

⋆But I’m sure you’d be such a treasure to him too. You’d teach him a lot, especially how to be kind and how gentleness, in your opinion, is the actual strength.

⋆He’d see you holding a little wounded squirrel one day. You’d try to cure it in any way. That’s when I think he would reach you and ask something like:

⋆”What are you doing holding that shitty thing, y/n?”

⋆”What?.. I’m trying to cure it... it’s wounded...”

⋆”Why are you trying to?”, he’d be surprised, looking at you and raising an eyebrow. You’d bite your lips and look at the ground, still holding that poor creature.

⋆He’s soooo adorable, oh my Goooooooddd!! This gentle giant really loves being surrounded by animals, especially cats, so I actually headcanon him having a crush in a Snow-White-like reader, ‘cause you both could have so many things in common!

⋆You’d surely spend some time together, chilling and petting cats, no doubt, even if in silence; ‘cause this pretty boi is also shy and don’t speak so much.

⋆If I have to imagine the way you both could meet for the first time, I think of a calm day at the park. While walking all alone, enjoying the nature’s sounds, you’d soon see a very tall and at first sight terrifying guy surrounded by plenty of cats, petting some of them in silence.

⋆You’d stop walking in front of him, even if still far away, and stare for a second, trying to understand what he’s doing all alone there with all those cats.

⋆Soon he’d see you and, under his curly green fringe, would open his eyes wide, as he would do a little with his mouth, in surprise. He’d immediately notice your characteristics, your beautiful features: your skin as white as snow, your hair as dark as ebony and your lips and cheeks naturally as red as apples.

⋆Precisely when he’d think you’d run away scared of him, or just ignore him, you’d approach him, getting him even more surprised, and introduce yourself:

“Hi! I’m y/n! Are all these cats yours? They’re adorable!”, you’d just say and become immediately his crush.

⋆We know that Masaki is introverted especially for the reason that when he was younger was bullied by his own classmates, just because of his father’s imprisonment. So I can really imagine you both able to create a contact so tight that you’d even understand each other without saying a word.

⋆But that’s what he would like of you, though: the fact that you both simply search for each other only to spend some time together, keeping silence, just listening to your heart’s beating’s echo.

⋆He’d love your voice, and usually ask you to sing something. Of course you’d do it, and after some time you’d turn to face him only to realize that he has fallen asleep. His sleepy calm expression would make you even more in love with him, because he’s also a really handsome guy.

⋆Seeing your true being, your gentleness, your will to help others, to delete all the crimes and, especially, to forgive who’s made mistakes in life would really make him fall for you.

⋆He’d help you to pet one of his cats, the one you prefer, and would hand it to you. In that exact moment, when you’d try to take that little and sweet animal, you’d place your hands on Hokusai’s ones. That’s when he’d realize he’s fallen for you. He’d admit it to himself but, while I headcanon Satsuki asking Aniki Iori for advices, I headcanon this giant cute boy asking his cats for advice and, maybe, even Ryu, who’s his walking companion.

⋆I even think he’d listen to Ryu’s advices but decide not to follow them, since they would be totally strange.

⋆What would he learn from you? Surely to be more extroverted, oh well, to speak more. He’s totally introverted, so I think he would open up more, especially when you both hang out in crowded places.

⋆AAAAH! Reo! Reo is the cutest of the AKYR’s members, in my opinion! He’s also the youngest of them all and personally my favourite one. He usually argues with Satsuki but this doesn’t mean they hate each other.

⋆Anyway Reo spends his free time playing any kind of games, so I pretty headcanon him playing video-games against Satsuki most of time.

⋆He would totally get along well with a Snow-White-like reader, especially because he’s adorable and lively!

⋆How do I imagine you both would meet? Well, surely at a mall, while Reo and Satsuki would go to buy the newest video-game. Reo would like jump around, looking at every shop window until he’d stop and focus more on one in particular, when he’d see a beautiful girl with a skin as white as snow, the hair as dark as ebony and the lips and cheeks naturally as red as apples.

⋆That’s how he’d decide to enter the shop, ignoring Satsuki who’d call his name and ask where the heck he’s going. He’d reach you jumping and holding a plastic bag, with the new video-game in it.

“Heyyy! I’m Reo! Nice to meet you!”

⋆So, yeah.. I pretty headcanon him doing the first step and introduce himself. You’d immediately see how adorable and cute he is and introduce yourself back, then open your eyes wide and blush a little as you’d hear him complimenting your name:

“y/n?... It’s a cute name!!”

⋆Reo is pretty childish and always wants to be at the centre of the attention at all costs, so I imagine him trying to do anything to make you notice him, like winning a game against Satsuki and yell happily:

“y/n!!! I did it!! See? I’m not only cute, but also great at playing! 𝓘’𝓶 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓫𝓮𝓮𝓮𝓮𝓼𝓽!!”

⋆You both would hang out, perhaps to buy an ice-cream, and he would also tease you, wiping away some ice-cream from your cheek or lips.

⋆But I quite headcanon also him asking you to taste the ice-cream’s flavours you got too. I don’t know why, but I think he would be the TEASE in person!!

⋆”Ahahah! You’re cute when you blush, y/n-chan!”

⋆Even if he’s already adorable, such a cutie-pie, he would also learn a lot from you, from your kindness, from your will of helping, and from your innocence.

⋆He’d hear you singing for the first time at night, when you can’t sleep. He’d reach you, following your voice and, at first, he’d really think he’s dreaming, ‘cause your voice sounds so amazingly! Seriously, are you an angel?

⋆That’s when he’d sit next to you and show you also his serious part, ‘cause he’s certainly not only the happy Reo-kun we know, but he’s more and had to overcome many difficulties, as other AKYR’s members had (and also every character in Paradox Live, though, lol).

⋆He’d trust you and tell you about his past. That’s when he’d realize he has fallen for you.

⋆He’s always truly happier when you’re with him. You can just sit there, or look at his eyes, or even just breathe and he’d be happier... he’d feel happier.

Proposal Headcanons

Yohei Kanbayashi -

Although he’s usually really good at hiding how he’s feeling, the night he decides to propose he’s like an open book.

His eyes were constantly looking around and he smoked more than usual.

When you asked if he was ok he stumbled with his words a lot. I’d say he’s the type who’s a VERY BAD liar since he’s always so honest and straight to the point.

He’d propose in very romantic locations like a fancy rooftop restaurant. His proposal locations aren’t too extravagant like going to a different country. He likes something that is around the area you two first met so it has more value.

He is the CEO of P.P.P. The perfect planned proposal (I made that up on the spot and gasped at my own genius. *applauds self*) Nothing goes wrong or anything because he loves putting a lot of effort into knowing that tonight everything is perfect. He would be even more nervous if it wasn’t perfectly planned.

After dinner, he's touchy as usual, holding your hand leading you to a quiet spot. He makes a light conversation, dousing his cigarette before turning to you. His eyes are honest and hopeful. Both of you hand are in his, and he quietly whispers, "Would you like to spend the rest of your life with me?"

Iori Suiseki -

Much more relaxed but has a slight itch of nerves. He knows it's going to be perfect, he’s confident as he always is but deep down, his heart beats a little faster than usual.

He tries to be a P.P.P. but in the end, if something goes wrong he’ll think “Fuck it” and go for whatever he plans on doing.

On that night, he told you to dress up nicely to which you laugh because when has he ever worried about what you wore?

As you arrive at your date spot, a row of candles lead you to where Iori was casually sitting. He was wearing a suit and tie, the top three buttons on his button up was undone as he smiles at you.

The sun was still high but it was quiet all around you. He brought you to a secluded, grassy area, food laid out on a table.

After finishing this magical meal he procured somehow (he always surprises you in the most sudden way), he continues to lead you to an area to which you both can enjoy the sunset.

He’s not the most traditional and doesn't do the down-on-one-knee proposal. His proposal is much more intimate. He brings you closer, so close you can smell the cologne on his clothes, and he pulls out a ring.

He’d quietly ask you if you’d marry him. There’s a slight waver in his voice but his confident eyes tell you he knows you’ll say yes.

Gazen and the three boys are probably in a bush somewhere watching dad get it.

Gaho Zen -

Gaho Zen is the most perfect man in the world and his proposal is no exception.

He prioritizes a whole day to you, bringing you to your favorite places and buying your favorite foods.

It's only when you come home you're surprised by the romantic bouquet at a table, Zen suddenly disappearing and coming back out in more formal attire.

He lets you change into something more formal as well as he prepared his home cooked meals.

After the meal, he takes your hand into his and look you in the eye.

"I have never met someone whom I loved so dearly. So much so that I can't imagine a life without you." He brings out the ring from his pocket and smiles at you.

There's a look of worry that was quietly triumphed by joy as he asks, "Will you marry me?". The perfect answer to the question being 'yes'.

Allen Sugasano:

It’s hard to kiss him through the blanket but once you finally managed to pull him out of his sleepy little cocoon, you can’t resist. He doesn’t mind it as much as he groaned (as his contempt was mostly for having to be awake when he had barely gotten a few hours of sleep). He is used to be yelled at or rolled off his bed so he’ll take your kisses, leaning into your touch and mumbling a sleepy ‘where did you go?’ when you stopped kissing him so he’d finally get out of bed.

Hajun Yeon:

Hajun always teased you when you were affectionate with him, despite the fact you were very much dating and this was an entirely normal thing to do. He asked how deep your love for him went, a heavy question for such an early morning show, but he didn’t exactly expect an answer. You responded with more kisses, trying not to laugh as he turned his head here or there to show you spots you missed as ‘you better be efficient and cover everything if you’re going to be my wake-up call’.

Iori Suiseki:

Iori can’t help but laugh, thinking it’s a pretty quick way to get him up. He can’t resist pulling you into his arms, sometimes having you tumble right back into bed with him. There’s a few moments of bargaining where he tried to convince you to just fall back asleep with him, but once that doesn’t work he accepted his prize of more kisses instead. He might even consider waking you up like that, if he could ever get the jump on you by waking up earlier that is.

Yuto Inukai:

Yuto thinks it’s the nicest way he’s ever been woken up. Sometimes he even thinks he’s still dreaming, and after a long, hard day at work he wondered if he could request more of those tender face kisses to help him sleep. He wondered what he had done to deserve someone as loving as you but at times he doesn’t want to question it, simply enjoying the love you showed him and coming up with his own ways to give you love in return.

Iori Suiseki:

Now this was an interesting situation. When he sidled up next to you at the bar he expected you to greet him with enthusiasm, but instead he received a side eye like he hadn’t showered in a week. When you purposely get up and put a seat between you, it takes all his self-control to not burst out laughing, hiding his smile behind his hand as he knew you’d find him even shadier if you saw his reaction. He tried to play it cool, calling out your name and reveling in the shocked look on your face; you actually looked like you might call the cops on him, head whipping around to see if there was any security nearby. He popped up a family picture on his phone, zooming in on your happy faces squished together due to everyone trying to cram into the picture. You took a moment, looking between the picture and him a comical amount of time before accepting that you knew this man for sure. There’s a thought chipping away at the back of his mind, the one that reminded him how lucky he was to have you and that this could’ve been his reality (with him just a stranger to you) if he hadn’t reached back out to you after the death of the Suiseki Clan. You seemed to trust him enough to walk you back to your home (which he subsequently had a key for, leading to more panic before the kids stepped in to back Iori up).

Naoakira Saimon:

Saimon is admittedly amused by the situation, hands sliding into his pockets as you clarify that you’re happily taken. You rambled a bit about the situation, hitting a sore point as you talked about how you weren’t sure if he saw you or his late wife when you were together, but you quickly apologized to the stranger as your sad thoughts weren’t meant to slip out like that. Saimon offered to hear you out, having a glass of water delivered directly to you as you both sat back down at the bar. He listened to woes that you could never be direct with, thoughts that scared you because you never knew the answer to them; he feels guilty that you felt like this, having to hold himself back from physically comforting you like he wanted to. He thanked you for putting your trust in him with your words, promising that he would see you home safely so that you have the chance to tell your boyfriend exactly how you feel.

Ryoga Tosa:

Ryoga let out a huff, not knowing if you were just messing with him in your drunken stupor or not. But he knew how you were normally, and the way you pulled yourself away with a fierce glare at a man who towered over you, biceps the size of your head, made him realize just how deep your loyalty ran. He couldn’t admit that it was making him feel some type of way due to the situation at hand, which was convincing you his intent was pure and he was simply trying to see you home safely. He considered just tossing you over his shoulder and running, but he wasn’t looking to add more years onto his sentence should someone call the cops on him. He has a very non-threatening Yuto escort you home safely, not happy he had to ask for help but your safety took priority over his pride.

Will You Be My Valentine? - AKYR + AMPRULE

Hokusai Masaki:

Hokusai realized, almost too late, that he had to actually ask you to be his valentine for you to know that you were his. He had been going based off your relationship, the closeness you had making him logically arrive at the conclusion that you were his valentine, but he was informed that it was not the way it worked. When he had gone to seek you out he found you anxious and shuffling on your feet, surprised that you felt so nervous about asking him to be your valentine when he had already made that choice long ago.

Iori Suiseki:

Iori had suspected you were up to something but had patiently sat back, not one to assume but certainly knowing what was on your mind. You still managed to surprise him with a homemade gift as well as asking him to be yours for Valentine’s Day, the genuine smile on his face and his laughter filling the room the best gift you could’ve asked for. He wrapped you in a hug, pulling you as close as he could before letting you know he had already made plans for the two of you. If asked on why he didn’t make the first move he just laughed again, saying it was always pleasant to be the one pursued (and that he’d make your efforts worthwhile, in the end).

Reo Maruyama:

Reo winked, flirted, and accepted all gifts tossed his way on Valentine’s Day. Someone with his charm was used to all of this attention, but it could get exhausting after constant stimulation from others for hours on end. Plus, it never felt quite as special as a valentine really should, which he never realized until he had someone solid in mind that he wanted as his valentine. He’s glad that you’re the one who asked because it meant he could hide how in love with you he was (since he considered making the first move, which he certainly doesn’t do for just anyone), and he immediately rattled off all the things he wanted to do on that day with you since he hadn’t stopped thinking about it since the month began.

Satsuki Ito:

Satsuki cuts you off QUICK, on his knees like he’s groveling as he held your hands tight and began to sweat. There’s an awkward pause as you wait for him to explain the feral yell that was torn from his throat but it seemed he needed another minute to think, perhaps regretting his hasty reaction. He had to be the one to ask, after all, but the courage didn’t suddenly appear like he hoped it would. He does manage to stutter out the question because he’s not a quitter, but he won’t make eye contact, especially not after Reo asks why it looked like he was proposing.

Zen Gaho:

Zen is fighting to hide how hot his face is growing, touching his own burning hot cheeks and wondering how he got lucky enough to attract your attention. After pining away for you for who knows how long, finally having the confirmation that you felt the same for him was almost too much to bear. You cradle his face in your hands as he started to tear up, refusing to actually let them fall as he didn’t want to ruin the mood but he couldn’t help how overwhelmed with emotion he was. He would make this your most romantic Valentine’s Day yet!

AMPRULE

Chungsung Baek:

Chungsung is pleasantly surprised, licking his lips at the homemade gift you hand to him after asking him to be your valentine. While he doesn’t presume he’ll have any free-time on that day, much like he doesn’t most days as he attends to his master, he’s still flattered that you asked. He supposed he could carve out some of his own personal time while Dongha was busy to spend with you, not quite an official date but there were a few meals he could whip up that the two of you could enjoy together. He’s never pursued a relationship like this but he’s excited to see where it may lead.

Dongha Yeon:

You had debated on even asking Dongha as it didn’t seem like something he’d be interested in, but you had done stupider things to get his attention before so you thought you might as well. He’s actually quite surprised to hear the question, to have such a blatant act of affection thrown in his face like this leaves him frozen. Did you want something from him? Surely being seen with the Yeon heir would do wonders for you, but your stuttered out ‘date plan’ only consisted of spending time together indoors watching movies… What did you want from him? He accepted, because he certainly couldn’t have you asking someone else to be your valentine, and he’d simply have to probe you later to find out what your motives were.

Iori Suiseki:

You should’ve known going drinking with Zen would be a decision you regretted, and not because the man tended to get weepy while under the influence. The conversation always led back to Iori, and while you’re normally adept at being ‘normal’ about him, your true feelings always came to light when you were feeling vulnerable. Zen listened more than you thought he would as you tossed your heart onto the table, laying yourself bare for him to judge you; there wasn’t a single part of you that ever planned on making a move on him, convinced that Iori could never feel the same and even if he did, the man hardly let many get truly close to him. Your wistful sigh brings tears back to Zen’s eyes, who struggled with finding the right words to say.

Iori was amused at overhearing the conversation, having come to collect the two of you for the sake of your safety. When he heard himself become the main topic he couldn’t be blamed for taking a step back, especially when you seemed so forlorn the second the conversation circled to him. He’s a little surprised, not at the confession, but that Zen hasn’t opened his mouth to spill everything Iori had ever confided in him about you. The conversations were never wrong as he knew Zen’s style of ‘being direct with your feelings’ wasn’t for him, but seeing you doubt him like this — well, it made him want to give you the surprise of a lifetime.

Satsuki Ito:

You were cornered by an overly curious Reo, who didn’t support you dating his brother but wanted to know your reasonings all the same. It had come out in a game of truths that you’d been playing together, and while you had danced around a direct confession that would alert Satsuki to your feelings, Reo knew how to read between the lines. He stated that you’re lucky Satsuki is as stupid as he is or else you would’ve been outed on the spot; when you tell him to keep his voice down he just laughed at you, saying he’d think about it as long as you confessed exactly what it was that made you fall for Satsuki. When you finally divulged your feelings there’s a minor look of disgust on Reo’s face, but the kind you wear when a sickeningly sweet couple is acting like the perfect match right in front of you rather than one finding actual distaste for something.

Satsuki was used to Reo shouting his name, but he didn’t know what he did this time, sighing as he shuffled over to the room where his name came from. When he heard your voice as well he stopped, face flushed as he thinks back to what he had just heard. He couldn’t make sense of it, but Reo had cut him off before he could ask for clarity; Satsuki knew even if he got you alone he wouldn’t be brave enough to ask now.

Shion Kaida:

You had answered your friends phone call as you waited for Shion to pop up, knowing he was a man of opportunity and it was difficult for him to slip away in a speedy manner. You waited patiently as you’d been looking forward to this all weekend, trying to distract yourself from considering it a date. Your nosy friend had immediately picked up on your nervousness, and you could practically feel them staring at you as they urged you to continue on. There weren’t many details you were willing to give, not wanting to jinx your relationship by making it seem like you and Shion were anything more than friends. Your want for something more is easily deciphered as your friend began to chant ‘ask him out!’, and you wondered how she might feel if she knew all the details about who Shion was.

Shion is a little flattered to hear you speaking fondly of him when he’s not around, knowing your words were likely true since it seemed you were talking on the phone to a friend. He can tell the questions are getting you flustered as they push for more details, and while he feels a tiny bit guilty for continuing to eavesdrop, it’d be a lie to say he didn’t want to hear your answer. He’s surprised when your response to your friend has nothing to do with his attractiveness, or his exotic looks, instead making mention of how relaxed you feel when you’re around him. Shion wondered how your friend would respond if they knew you were acting lax around a prisoner, but it had him giving a sigh of relief, knowing that his relationship with you was one of a kind.

Iori Suiseki:

Iori tried not to interfere unless you asked directly, providing a silent kind of support as he knew pushing himself into the situation might attract more attention than you wanted. He’s a flashy person who doesn’t seem to be worried about talking to anyone, even someone he might have a tense relationship with, and you wished he could tell you his secrets. He laughed when you confessed this to him, stroking your hair soothingly as he told you the same trick won’t work for everyone; you could always try to see how other people dealt with their social anxiety and then find the perfect in-between of all those tips that worked best for you. Still, he let you know he’d keep an ear out and bail you out of any situation if you needed him to.

Kanata Yatonokami:

Kanata doesn’t get why you even want to talk to other people, they suck, and you already have him and Nayuta so… He doesn’t tell you he won’t be supportive, but he still doesn’t get it. Why do you even care what those people think? They wouldn’t affect your daily life, and you’d likely never seen most of them again, so what’s the big deal? He tried to bite back on the honesty if he saw it was negatively effecting you and your progress, completely honest in that he thought he and Nayuta were all you needed but not wanting you to actually give up on what you wanted.

✣ probably one of your worse ideas, if we’re being real. he has to be in a specific mood in order to go along with your whims. half the time he ends up shoving you off of him whilst looking like an irritated cat. when he does fight back, he’s careful not to actually hurt you even though you can’t tell with his gritted teeth and narrow brows. there’s a good chance you can take him out and he’ll just huff and ask if you’re done being stupid ; but be warned that while he’s not very muscular, he does sometimes get a rush of adrenaline in a fight that gives him a quick edge over his opponent and the same applies here - before you know it, you’re underneath while he looks down at you, unimpressed. “annoying,” he’ll mutter, and before you can protest he’ll give you a chaste kiss on the lips before leaving and acting like the situation never happened at all. 

iori:

who wins? you.

✣ realistically, iori could knock you out in one quick strike - however, he loves you a lot and loves being the source of your happiness just as much which means he will always let you win. always. you could give the most half hearted attack towards him and he’ll be falling dramatically, going on about how his beloved has betrayed him and left him to die. his shit eating grin as he does so takes any chance of believing him and squashes it. the only retaliation he offers is gently tugging you down with him as he lays on the floor and letting your body rest atop his. he’ll give you that stupid lovesick look he always has when you’re in the room and lean up to kiss your forehead, mumbling a sweet nothing about how proud he is of you for being so brave and strong.

nayuta:

who wins? nobody.

✣ nayuta specializes in stealthily dealing with people rather than physically, as shown by when he pickpockets those thugs for shiki. and even then, he doesn’t really feel like exerting the energy needed to pin you down most of the time. so what's his solution? act like a big baby. the second you launch at him or anything of the sort, he’ll whip out the pout and puppy-dog eye combo with the full knowledge it tugs at your heartstrings. he’s so unbearably cute that you just give up and smother him in hugs and kisses instead, something he’d much rather participate in.

satsuki:

who wins? you.

satsuki is actively terrified a simple hug from him will hurt you, you think he’d ever fight back? he’ll be surprised for a moment when you jump onto his back and almost go to retaliate before realizing it’s you and instead stiffening from such blatant contact. there’s a moment where he’s scared you’re mad at him and that’s why you attacked him, but once you explain you’re just playing around he’ll stand there and take whatever you give him. he’s a relatively built guy so the chance you do any actual harm is minimal, and he'll just be elated you're acting so adorably around him. the raging blush on his face has a higher chance of KOing him than you do.

zen: who wins? him, but he tried to let you win.

this man is built like a brick wall. there is 0% chance you’d be able to knock him down or do him much damage at all if you’re just playing with him. he’ll look at you with a little bit of confusion while you struggle to try and get him to budge. it turns into a smile when you drum your fists against his chest while complaining about how he’s too damn muscular. “alright then,” he’ll laugh and relax his body to give you a better chance, “do your worst, love.” it ends with him apologizing profusely for the way you landed on your ass when trying to push him over. 

yuto:

who wins? hancho.

yuto on his own is a bit of an easy target. sure, he’s a prison guard but you’re not a prisoner and he wouldn’t want to harm you. besides, he kinda leaves “cop mode” behind once he’s home with you so it would be a huge shock to him when you sneak up and tackle him down on the couch. he’ll stammer and blush while you straddle his hips with his wrists pinned above his head, and your victory looks to be assured when a familiar red glint appears in his eyes. “where’s all that bark from before?” hancho will growl in your ear with a smirk on his face as you wriggle helplessly beneath him.

Iori Suiseki:

“Do you hear that?”

You held up your ear to the door of your shared room, listening carefully while Iori regarded you with a raised eyebrow. He was sitting comfortably on the bed, his night clothes still on despite the sun burning high in the sky. He had slept in again, and with you as his personal alarm clock, he got to sleep in quite a bit more since Zen had turned that job over to you. When you had both woken up that afternoon you had panicked a bit, worried that you might’ve missed something important but with no calls from Zen (or the others) on your phones, you had exited the room briefly to see why you hadn’t been disturbed.

“…I don’t hear anythin’.”

“Exactly!” You whipped around, taking quick steps toward him as you continued to speak. “Nothing! They’re not home! Zen left this lil note in the kitchen.”

You handed the sticky note to Iori who read it with interest, seeing that Zen had listed out a full schedule of how the day was going to be sent. He had taken your daughter out with the other kids, set on doing some chores that needed to be done; if everyone behaved, then there would be a nice lunch and ice cream included. Iori almost laughed, wondering if Zen had started seeing the other kids as the same age as your daughter, but he’d sure they’d all enjoy the day out just as much as she would.

“I can’t believe we’re alone for the first time in forever,” Iori laughed out, placing the sticky note on the wall behind him. “What should we do with all our free time?”

“Hmm…” You pretended to contemplate the answer, sliding back into the bed beside him. Iori turned to face you, movement mirroring your own as he laid down on his side. “Sleep some more?”

“While I can’t say spending the entire day in bed with you would be a bad day… I’d prefer takin’ advantage of our alone time a little more. Can’t let ‘em age us anymore than they already do.” Iori pressed a kiss to your forehead, “Let’s get dressed and go on a date. I’ve got this spot I’ve wanted to show you…”

Sometimes, romance took a backseat to raising the kid you willingly had together, but when given the opportunity Iori would do anything he could to keep the flames between you burning bright.  He’d have to thank Zen for this later.
