Wally, Bart and Barry.

I think we forget sometimes that the vast majority of the crazy feats of godlike powers we see from speedsters are coming from these three. Wally, Bart and Barry have insane connections to the speedforce and their skill level is unmatched. What these three can do is by no means normal or average. They are op as fuck.

You have to remember that even... let's say Max Mercury is nowhere even remotely near their skill level. And we're talking about Max Mercury. The guy who knows more about the speedforce than anyone else and trained for years to master it. But Max (although he was faster than Bart when Bart was a child) isn't on the same playing field as Wally, Bart and Barry. Max couldn't enter the speedforce without Bart's assistance, Max couldn't leave the speedforce without Barry and Wally's assistance, Max can't time travel to a destination of his own choice, Max can't speed steal or fully pause time, ect ect. Max is one of the most skilled, most knowledgeable, most trained and most respected speedsters of all time. Max is the cream of the crop. You won't find another speedster better than Max. He's a shining example of what's humanely possible for speedsters to achieve.

But Wally, Bart and Barry aren't humanely possible. Those three are insane.

Do you guys remember how fast Wally used to be? When he was younger and struggling with his speed and stuff? THAT'S THE GODDAMN AVERAGE. Wally AT HIS SLOWEST was still faster than every single goddamn speedster he came across, including Jay, Johnny, Jesse, the Blue Trinity, the Red Trinity, ect. HE JUST WASN'T FASTER THAN BARRY OR EOBARD SO HE THOUGHT HE WAS THE WORST. Because Wally is fucking insane. He's an insane human being. Anyway, Wally at his slowest is the typical representation of an average speedster. That's how they typically are.

My head canon for Ichigo: he's been dead since Urahara cut his soul chain, his body was prepared so it wouldn't decay/he could use it as a gigai and it would age. He should have been unable to go back to it at the end of the manga given his power levels, thus realising his dead from the start status.

But also what a reveal would that have been, to know you were dead and in bought time from the moment you decided to go to the afterlife to save your best friend (who's also been dead from the beginning). You chose her world (that's also yours) and you didn't now.

Also Urahara being a creep and doing Ichigo body as a gigai and not telling a soul.

ok so I just relistened to Alright(ep23) and I wanna talk about something that I don't think I've seen anyone else talk about even when the ep first came out.(but I'm antisocial so idk)

SO during The Doodler back story bit we find out that when Ron was being drowned it for some reason was invested in Ron's safety(probably because of Stud??)and I think I saw some people misinterpret this scene as The Doodler drowning Willy to protect Ron when in reality it was The Doodler waiting for Willy to kill Ron so it could drag him through the portal and send him away from Willy. Which is fucking wild. It also was then tethered to Willy against it's will because it was planning on being attached to Ron. And considering that Willy got a lot of his power from The Doodler, I have to think this relationship might've been non consensual?? The Doodler doesn't/didn't want Willy. It actively didn't like him and wanted to safe Ron in death. But Willy somehow managed to siphon off power from it and I don't think it would've wanted to give Willy any power or protection.

The point is someone should write an au where Ron goes to the forgotten realms instead of Willy and is a kid warlock with his chaos god best friend

how is my friend's baby 12 days overdue and didn't come during the massive blizzard we had yesterday

also on the perfume side of things: I've added Father Figure (Phlur) and Xtra Milk (Dedcool) into my travel size collection. Father Figure is a winner that will be repurchased, and it's probably the closest I'm willing to lean into gourmand scents. Also: probably a good pick for fall. Xtra Milk is refreshing and clean but unremarkable. I'll happily use the travel size I have but don't think I'll repurchase.
