Right after Foundations of Decay came out, me and my sister realized we’d both independently started revisiting mcr at the same time, and we started talking about how well their stuff held up and how much fun we were having going back to these albums we’d loved so much when we were kids, and eventually we started talking about lyrics we always used to mishear.
And she went, “Yeah, I always thought the line at the end of Deathwish was ‘in the end we’ll fall apart, just like a liz changing color.’” And when I was like, “Who’s Liz, and why is she changing color?” she went, “No, I thought ‘liz’ was like. A cool-person way of saying lizard.”
THIS HOLE YOU PUT ME IN WASN’T DEEP ENOUGH AND I’M COMING OUT RIGHT NOW YOU’RE RUNNING OUT OF PLACES TO HIDE FROM ME WHEN YOU GO JUST KNOW THAT I WILL REMEMBER YOU IF LIVING WAS THE HARDEST PART WELL THEN THE DAY WE’RE TOGETHER AND IN THE END WE’LL FALL APART JUST LIKE THE LEAVES CHANGING COLORS AND THEN I WILL BE WITH YOU I WILL BE THERE ONE LAST TIME NOW WHEN YOU GO JUST KNOW THAT I WILL REMEMBER YOU I LOST MY FEAR FALLING I WILL BE WITH YOU I WILL BE WITH YOU
Spent over 6 hours trying to design and draw patch that references lines from it’s not a fashion statement it’s a death wish. It looks like complete shit and my back and hand hurt so fucking bad.
Welp this is it boys, I’m exploding as I type good riddance forever
When gerard way said "this hole you put me in wasn't deep enough and I'm climbing out right now" and when hozier said "no grave can hold my body down" reblog if you agree
recently had a dream that there was an early 2000s horror-thriller movie based on an MCR song and had that MCR song in its dramatic climax, it was about a girl who comes back as a revenant to unveil the dark secrets of the rich family who killed her in a small suburban town ❤️🖤
(the song was ‘it’s not a fashion statement it’s a deathwish’ btw)
