i love the idea of a shorter gillion, a tall jay, and distinctly average height chip just as much as anyone else, but also

there’s something that hits different about a tall chip.

chip being 6 feet or taller, using that to his advantage when needed, taking up all the space in a room and drawing every eye towards him in flashy manners while his hands deftly maneuver to grab coinpurses and valuable jewelry.

him still being able to melt into the shadows, sliding up against a wall and disappearing like nothing. being one of the tallest men in the room but still carrying the timid stealth of a lost child. it’s something he could never let go of.

being one of if not the tallest on the ship but still having the heart of a small boy who just wants arlin back.

flaunting the height when he’s scared, using it like a shield.

it’s just cool. to think about the guy who’s entire personality is like a house of cards ready to fall apart at any second. and think about how he crumbles from great heights physically and metaphorically.
