am i the only one who thinks cancel culture has gone a bit too far? like we’re literally “canceling” people for the stupidest shit these days, and let’s be honest, most of us do these things in private as well. tell me you’ve NEVER made like a lgbtq+ joke (obviously not a full on offensive one) if a cc even made a harmless joke they’d full on canceled and harassed
IM NOT AIMING THIS AT U, i just rlly wanted to state my opinion on this 😭 i just don’t think it’s fair how we also judge some cc’s but not all. its different if they said some shit like “kill the (blank)” but for example (a stupid one, i know, but it’s 3 am and i can’t think properly) the internet cancelled charli d’amelio because she said ‘she couldn’t wait to hit a 100 mil because even numbers’ and that she wouldn’t eat a snail … bruva
No because I agree with quite a bit of this post, bc:
Cancel culture is unnecessarily didactic and entitled sometimes.
It's really weird how as an audience, people try to tell others that what they do is wrong, and that they should correct their actions. Because who the fuck has the rights to make the rules of what is wrong and right within society?
I think cancel culture is valid when it's consistent with laws - yk - getting people like child groomers called out and removed from platforms because that's plain fucking illegal. The law system is a great place to base your morals off of (from my limited knowledge of laws), but then again...
If a CC has committed a crime, is just removing their platform the best thing to do?
Sure, alerting their following a person is bad is a great place to start. Yk, reduce their following at their supporting because they're a straight WRONG'UN... but then what? We just let them live their normal ass lives after committing a crime? When the hell does police step in and sort it out?
Cancel culture is good at alerting the audience of a person's wrongdoings if illegal, but at that point, serious investigation and police intervention is probably also worth a shot.
But cancel culture is also really fucking harmful.
Obviously, rate of cancellation is very different online. Certain fandoms have different rates of cancellability, and boundaries with what CCs say. Need it in graphical form? Say less.
Tumblr media
(No data backing this up, quite opinion and personal experience based so err... maybe take w a pinch of salt)
But there's places like AMP and Sidemen whereby they do A LOT of more morally gray things (objectify women, mild-casual homo and transphobia...)
And then there's placed like the MC fandom which need to take the fucking chill pill and slow it down. I mean, I remember this from my MCYT days:
"I get lesbians", said TommyInnit, "get" meaning understand (of course) - which didn't seem like a big deal to me. It empathised w women thinking men were a bit ew and unpreferable, and sure, it's a bit demeaning to men in a way whereby there's a bit "men < women" stereotype, but I don't think that's very harmful in an already patriarchal society.
but regardless, the fans were pretty fkn pissed because they interpreted what he said to mean that he... got with lesbians... And when someone explained to them that he meant "get" as in "understand" - you know, he's not a raging misogynist, self-proclaimed lesbian-undoing womanizer - did they back down and admit there was a misinterpretation within communication?
Nope!
Instead they tried to prove that he was still in the wrong because that was a poor word choice and he should've just said "understand" instead, if that's what he really meant.
They literally tried to 'cancel' him, for a lexical choice.
So in times like that, I remember that cancel culture isn't a wonderful thing - and the Charli D'amelio reference you give is just as valid tbh, anon.
Charli's cancellation + hate, I would love to talk about, but considering this is already a stupidly long n waffle-y post, I think I'll save it for next time.
Overall conclusions + take-aways: -Cancel culture is good at taking platforms away from genuinely bad ppl -But who are we to try and push our own morals onto a Content Creator? Ignorance is bad and should be corrected but often-times this didactic role which viewers take on is also just plain entitled -I think it's better to point out flaws and present them to the audience + CC to hear them out, rather than viciously aiming to remove a platform and enforce views onto others -Some places need a lot less cancel culture bc it's just not needed - some places need a lot more maturity to understand why what a CC does isn't morally great -Lots of generalised sweeping statements made here - feel free to argue them j don't come at my neck ab them
peace n love as always

i haven't read that molly smith book but just from my knowledge of marx your analysis looks wrong to me. i'm aware of two places where marx claims that wage labor is forced labor: the 1844 manuscripts and capital volume 3. i'm going to assume you don't care about the former, so for the latter: "We saw also that capital -- and the capitalist is merely capital personified and functions in the process of production solely as the agent of capital -- in its corresponding social process of production, pumps a definite quantity of surplus-labour out of the direct producers, or labourers; capital obtains this surplus-labour without an equivalent, and in essence it always remains forced labour -- no matter how much it may seem to result from free contractual agreement."
by my count, you are actually succumbing to the appearance that wage labor is the "result of free contractual agreement". marx uses the word "seem" here, and when he does that it tends to mean that it is appearance and not reality. so he's explicitly saying that wage labor is not consensual ("the result of free contractual agreement") but forced labor. as far as i'm aware, we just refer to forced sexual labor as rape. you claimed in your post that this isn't the case so please elaborate
"it’s a framework that can’t distinguish between tricks that were okay or fine to deal with and times where you were physically assaulted or actively manipulated" i don't find this persuasive because, as a student of republican theory, you should know that it's perfectly possible to even have *literal slavery* where the master is benevolent and labor under him is fine compared to labor under a harsher slavemaster. yes, slavery and wage labor are different, but they share the trait of being forced labor, which i think is what matters here. when marx talks about the formal freedom of the wage laborer, that's clearly meant to show that bourgeois notions of freedom (which, it seems to me, is what's being alluded to in the previous quote to distinguish good and bad tricks) are impoverished, the "double freedom" is obviously supposed to be sarcastic/seething and implicitly contrasted to some sort of a real freedom to be realized in communism
obviously, marx didn't want to criminalize sex work, but i'm not seeing how the inference that sex work (or at least FSSW - stuff like pornography is something else i guess, whatever we would want to call forced picture taking/video taping) is rape isn't accurate under his analysis. he and engels regularly disparaginly reffered to prostitution as the "community of women" and they disparagingly compared marriage to it, in both cases making a point about how the normalization of it causes people to have instrumental views of women. marx calls prostitution just one instance of the "general prostitution of the wage laborer", which isn't meant to imply that prostitution is nonproblematic but rather make other wage labor look problematic
I don't really agree with a lot of the assumptions you're bringing to the table here (your interpretation of Marx or that quote, the necessity of being in agreement with Marx or Engels [lol] on all things, the relevance of these points to what I'm talking about, the presumption of my intellectual obligations to anonymous people) and I think maybe reading that Smith & Mac book (or even something more in-depth/less targeted for a popular audience) would be a worthwhile use of time.
again, it's not like it's impossible to use more effective and clear language on this - there's nothing that obligates us to talk in the terms you're defending. is it "violence" for me to have to go to work? did it transform into "sexual violence" when I was doing sex work (or did it lose the sexual because it was virtual, as your parenthetical implies)? maybe! (though probably not, imo.) but I think talking about the weight of money and the market on our reasoning using moral-juridical shorthand has significant costs analytically (clarity, precision), politically (the entire trajectory of this idea as applied in the history of prostitution law), and ethically (in terms of evaluating and taking stock of our actions and harms). in fact the whole reference to pornography sort of troubles this particular narrative (paid sexual labor is rape when it's in-person but not when it's virtual or filmed, despite being produced by the same incentives?), which I think relies on the same idea of sexual labor as unique/mystified compared to other labor that I was criticizing. I'm not pushing a "sex work as empowerment" line here and never have; most other current or former sex workers I know wouldn't. but this is a framework that doesn't clarify, it obscures by reinforcing criminalization and stigmatization, and makes it actively more difficult for sex workers to talk about the range and depth of their experiences in the context of their needs and demands as laborers, both in their own struggle and as part of a larger struggle. it is ethically and politically worthless as a line of thought.
anyway I think this is all quite condescending and in poor taste.

Click to read my long and rambly complex feelings on Rovickie below
Wanting to defend Rovickie in any capacity is a little tiring because it always has to come with the disclaimer that the ship is underwritten and Vickie herself is greatly underdeveloped, because, well, this assertion is true. Rovickie is so poorly developed that Maya Hawke herself said she would have rather Robin’s story just stick to being about friendship and the majority of the fanbase ship Robin with someone she isn’t going to be wuth, and I can’t even blame any of them because of how poorly handled her actual love interest was.
But at the same I kinda can’t help but root for them despite their mismanagement. I like the energy Amybeth McNulty brought to Vickie despite her writing, and I also like the idea of Robin’s “dream girl” that she can barely talk to being a band nerd as awkward as she is. (yes Vickie being a copy of Robin is an issue, but at the same time I like the idea of similar people gravitating toward each other 🤷🏼‍♀️)
I remember reading a post that the Duffers kinda shot themselves in the foot with Vickie. There doesn’t seem to be a way to develop her without shifting attention away from someone else, but now that she’s here, it would be bad if they didn’t give her any development at all. This show has a problem with introducing more characters than it can carry and failing to give development to some of its OGs. Robin herself being one of these characters. Is Vickie a character that can only be remedied by going back in time and remedying writing mistakes of the past? (btw I’m not saying that Robin shouldn’t be on the show, but the show needed serious structural remodeling in season 3 in order to balance all of these characters, and it’s hard to imagine if it’ll be handeled well in season 5)
Earlier in this post you might have noticed that I threw a jab at the other Robin ship, which I have expressed my feelings on before. I don’t want to spend too much time dissing them here because I do understand that sapphic ships often get unnecessary hate for sheer fact that they are sapphic.
So I’ll just be point blank: I don’t think ronance is going to happen. I don’t think Nancy is queer, I don’t think that their interactions are romantic, but hey if you wanna read it that way more power to you. If the fanbase is far more into a ship that won’t happen more than the ship that is supposed to be intended to happen then this is a pitfall of the writers. And like I said before, I understand why people prefer ronance considering that rovickie is so poorly developed. They would rather Robin’s love interest be someone that she had more development with.
But I also wouldn’t want ronance to happen because I think it would be shitty to introduce a queer character to be a love interest and then completely give her the shaft. But at the same time Vickie’s writing is already shitty because of her poor development.
Sometimes you see people (milevens) on twitter saying that byler shippers don’t care wlw ships, and this isn’t an argument even worth appealing to because they are just saying this in good faith, they are saying this just to push buttons. Sometimes when an audience doesn’t engage with a sapphic ship the responsibility is placed solely onto the audience, and not the creators who have failed the sapphic ships of the show. (I’m not saying that people who ship ronance ship it for this reason, but I am saying that I don’t want to ship a wlw ship for the purpose proving that I support wlw ships)
So I guess I actually mourn Rovickie. It’s not dead, but it’s not as good as it could have been and it probably won’t be. There’s the slightest chance of the Duff’s proving me wrong, so maybe I’ll hold on to that tiny sliver of hope.

Hi! I just saw your post on DS2 and I have a HUGE problem with that movie, and it mainly comes down to the fact that it fails (in my mind) to properly explore character development. To explain what I mean a bit more, the MCU is a franchise and that franchise is literally built on its characters. I mean, it’s not just “MOM” it’s “Doctor Strange in the MOM.” So, a lot of people are coming to see DS and Wanda and their interactions. DS had a pretty lacklustre motivation and I honestly didn’t buy his role as a mentor with how little time it took for him to let go of his arrogance, but with Wanda especially her arc is so neglected just so shel’ll play the villainous role. They set up this whole narrative for her in Wandavision ending with her grief and hope, but then just skips to her being utterly insane. This is probably even worse for people who haven’t watched the series and just witness her going from the end of Endgame to fully evil. It wouldn’t be such a problem if Marvel didn’t pride itself on its character driven narratives but it DOES. Rewrites or no, I felt that the reason the film felt so soulless was that it prioritised fan service and wider MCU connectivity over the thing that brings the audience and drives the narrative in the first place: the characters.
(referencing this post)
Hey Lovely!
YES UGH. And it's frustrating because it kind of forces people to get the streaming so they know what happened in the "in between"? like, Marvel shows should have NEVER been about "solving movie level issues" more just like about a singular character and their adventures. Like Agents of Shield and Daredevil were (to my knowledge, I haven't seen either). So yeah, to some rando, MOM just... seemed really weird? But even then ALL the characterizations were SO OFF and, as I mentioned, Doctor Strange became a secondary character in his own movie. It's like they wanted someone else for a villain and someone higher up said, NAW let's make Wanda the villain and oop how about this fan service and let's introduce a character who's powers are SO ridiculously OP'd that it changes the power scaling of the most powerful sorcerer in the MCU.
Don't get me wrong, I liked America, and I liked the Illuminati, BUT they should have NEVER been introduced in a Doctor Strange Movie? Like... it's weird.
I dunno, I'm seeing theories going around now that they're setting up Doctor Strange to be the big bad of Secret Wars instead of Kang, so I don't know anymore. I just... wanted a continuation of DS1, and Mordo should have been a bad guy in DS2.
DS2 just... is so convoluted and not even a DS movie? I didn't hate the movie, I just... felt it WASN'T a DS movie, like the first one was. It felt like it was just there to introduce the Multiverse in the most convoluted and confusing way possible.
And WandaVision, even though I didn't really like it as much as everyone else apparently, did a good job of showing Wanda's trauma. I just feel that DS2 really undid all that and just... made her a villain to sell toys because everyone loves her.
Ugh. Then again, apparently my tastes are crap because the only Marvel shows I enjoyed all the way through were Moon Knight, Hawkeye and FatWS, so what do I know. Loki was alright until they fucking shoehorned that horrid romance into it. Feh.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your thoughts Lovely <3

last post on the matter. but reasons why b.alto 3 isn't that bad. despite i know it's a cash grab, cheaply made, short, and not the best written and animated.
kodi and the others are catalysts to the story and not hyper focused. in fact, kodi is actually more along the lines of a normal child. one who is struggling to find their place in the world. a little odd but passionate. who doesn't always make the best choices but is trying.
in fact, kodi and his friends mirror what a lot of people do these days and actually serve the closest to the "antagonists" imo. "i don't agree/like X so they are the enemy and who cares what happens to them." but b.alto reminds them and all to value life and to show it respect and love in order to get as such back. duke, the pilot, may have had intentions that would have put the mushers and dogs "out of the job" but he wasn't actually a bad character and to let him freeze to death was wrong even if he was "the enemy." in the end, duke honored the value of the dogs and respected the deal and even gave them praise.
duke and the mushers never held ill will. the mushers didn't want to lose their jobs, obviously, but throughout the movie, they wave to each other during the race and treat each other with respect. we don't get this kind of interactions these days for a younger audience to respect and value.
while the dogs win for the sake of the story, the lesson still acknowledges that change is inevitable and the plane will one day be superior. change in itself doesn't have to be evil or scary. it might not work out for everyone, but the best one can do is adapt.
jenna's song is top tier. being there and supportive can be as important or more important than actually doing the thing everyone thinks you should.
stella is ridiculous, over the top, and probably adult, yes. but she was never rude to boris. she's kind and flirty, never pushed his boundaries too far when he started to express discomfort. when she thought he was hurt, she was caring and nurturing. she only got mad when she realized he was lying and, to her knowledge, using her for the attention. when she learned his life was possibly in danger, she put that aside to help. she was a confident but good hearted character who gets shamed just because she's a bit insanely written but tbh because she's so crazy, i think that's why she fits in a kids movie. if she was written too seriously, she would have been uncomfortable, but she's so funny that you just laugh at her.
it gives some of the spotlight back to balto, showing us his age and transition in life. more of his dreams now that he isn't just trying to get jenna and the town to, like. tolerate him.
it's short and enjoyable, it serves its purpose for what it was meant to be for the budget and time it was probably given. i could critique it all day but this was a movie that i rewatched a bunch when i was a kid, and the lessons of being there, of change, of dreaming, and of treating others as human were and are still very important to me. this wasn't the only movie to introduce such things ( i can name many many more so i won't attribute all these lessons to just this film ), but every little bit helps.
okay i'm done with my spiels, i'll clean up all these completely unnecessary posts in just a smidge and try to actually write lol

Brun meets Napoleon in 1813 (1)
In the appendix of the "Cahiers" written by Soult's aide-de-camp Brun, there are various documents that describe events from the perspective of Soult's staff officers. I thought some of it might be quite interesting, for example the account of an audience (I believe, his third) that Brun had with Napoleon in Paris in January 1813 – i.e., after the Russian campaign, after the evacuation of Andalusia and after the mutual accusations between Soult and Joseph. Among other things, Soult once again asked to be relieved of his post.
The report is rather long, so I will have to divide it into several posts.
Colonel Brun de Villeret to Marshal Soult, Paris, January 1813
I was announced to His Imperial Majesty at 7 o'clock in the evening on 30 December. He was at dinner, He immediately deigned to order that I be introduced, and I found myself in His presence, while He was at table with the Empress, with the King of Rome on his lap.
Which, admittedly, was already one reason for me to post this. I’ve so often voiced my doubts about those happy father-son anecdotes featuring the King of Rome that I feel obliged to post about me being proven wrong by Soult’s favourite aide 😁. (Though I also would like to state that this obviously is not a truly private occasion and that the presence of the Imperial heir may have served a political purpose as well. So there.)
I was greeted in the most gracious manner. His Majesty began by asking me for news of Monsieur the Duke of Dalmatia with the greatest interest, and immediately getting down to business, he asked me to give him details of our last campaign.
Because nothing whets the appetite more than a tale of battlefields with lots of corpses. Right, Marie-Louise?
I spoke in the presence of the prefect of the palace, the women of the King of Rome, pages and servants, and I confined myself to reporting what could be published in the gazettes; I spoke of our situation in Andalusia, the scale of our operations, the good administration of the country, the regrets caused to us by the loss of such a beautiful province, and finally of the advantage we had gained from our depots and the eighteen months' pay which Monsieur the Duke of Dalmatia had given to the army.
Because carrying the money with us to Valencia, only to hand it over to Joseph and his Spanish administration, was out of the question, of course. - Well, at least the soldiers under Soult’s command had received their salaries, from what I have gathered from Joseph’s correspondence, that was not always the case.
I described the difficulties we had encountered in the mountains of Murcia, the dangers of crossing the rivers, our good fortune in escaping yellow fever after being slightly affected by it, and finally the satisfaction felt by the Duke of Dalmatia in having left only 300 or 400 hopeless sick men in Andalusia and in having brought 6,000 of them to the first places occupied by the army of Aragon, nine-tenths of whom should now have recovered perfectly.
And presumably Brun talked about the retreat, its problems and eventual success at such length because he correctly assumed that Joseph had complained to Napoleon and to Clarke and anybody else who would listen about Soult’s retreat from Andalusia having taken too long.
During my account, the Emperor gave me several signs of great satisfaction. He asked me where the King was, and on my reply that I had heard, on leaving Valladolid, that he had arrived in Madrid on 3 December, he asked me: "Wouldn't it have been better for him to have stayed in Burgos?"
Which is probably Napoleon’s way of saying: "Okay, yellow fever, mountains, rivers, got it. Let’s get to the juicy stuff. Have your marshal and my brother already come to blows yet?"
I replied that I had many things to say to His Majesty on this subject; He understood that I could not explain myself in the presence of so many witnesses, and, changing the subject, he asked me various questions about the siege of Burgos, to which it was all the easier for me to reply, as during the four days that I had been forced to stay in this town, I had examined in the greatest detail the place, the work of the besiegers and that of the besieged. I paid a tribute as glowing as it was disinterested to the defence of the garrison, and as dinner was drawing to a close at that very moment, I was able to spend a few moments with the King of Rome, with whom His Majesty wished to amuse himself, and whose form and constitution He deigned to have me admire.
And that’s a nice way to end. I find it interesting that Brun mentions Napoleon’s son so often in an official report to his marshal. But I guess he saw the fact that Napoleon talked to him about the little king as an additional honour, which in turn reflected well on Napoleon’s attitude towards Soult.
Or maybe they just loved to talk about kinds, like apparently all French militarymen 😊.

Hey just wanted to say I really liked your recent Gabriel art. I don't think it's as bad as you think to project on or make characters ooc. Seeing your Gabriel art where he has self harm scars are actually really comforting as someone who used to. Sorry if this is weird to say
don't worry! it's not weird, you're fine! i'm glad you feel comforted by this actually (i think me saying this is even weirder than you stating how you feel), it's still a bit surprising to me to not get pretty much scolded for drawing characters with self harm scars honestly.
as for the projection/ooc thing... well, it's just this weird paranoia i feel about portraying a character correctly? or in a way a wider audience could see and understand, and possibly agree with with and enjoy. which clashes a lot with how i tend to portray Gabriel in a lot of the stuff i make. i make him too soft, too fragile and every time i end up a frustrated at myself for that. i remember Francis' comics involving Gabriel and think "god, he gets him and the way he acts perfectly. the way i draw and write him is all wrong". think, he tends to portray him as a really headstrong guy, with at least a layer self confidence, quite possibly hiding any pain under a layer of condescension and pride, meanwhile i just portray him as... a mess. a sobbing, wet cardboard mess of a guy.
i've written three fics involving him, that i have up on ao3, and in two of them there's a moment where he breaks down in tears. that's not how he would react in game, is it?
it's not the first time i've projected myself at all, i used to do that a lot as a 13 year old whose only salvation was thinking about Lucas from Mother 3, but i think this time it's particularly stupid, because i'm 19, a legal adult in my country, and i'm doing that to Gabriel, a character from a game whose lore goes over probably at least 80% of the active playerbase. doing that to Lucas was somewhat understandable, because of the events that happen to him and the razor focus his game had on the story and characters. doing that to Gabriel makes me feel like i'm a huge, delusional, entitled idiot because this game has its major focus placed on the gameplay.
the fear i have inside of portraying a character in a way the wider fandom thinks is "cringe" or "stupid" is weirdly strong. honestly the only reason i post stuff like that here the few times i do is because people seem to be at least a tiny bit more accepting of diverging portrayals of Gabriel and everyone else in Ultrakill.
i'm sorry for gutting myself emotionally. you probably me this in good conscience, maybe to assure me that it's okay to draw this, and i thank you for telling me that. this wall of text ended up probably off-topic from what you may have wanted to tell me, i'm afraid.
i have a very hard time accepting anything positive that is done to me or anything that i do having a positive outcome on someone. i apologize again for the wall of text, and thank you for sending me this.
all in all, i'm glad you felt comforted by this. hope you're doing okay.
:)

So I rewatched ep1 and 2 of Trigun Stampede with my friend and it got us thinking about the upcoming plot/structure of the show, namely if we get a season 2 what's gonna be the catalyst for it
AKA we have a very specific wishlist for this show and watch it be thrown out the window when episode 3 airs lmao
Spoilers under the cut
No, seriously, those virus explodey things are a total wildcard. Anything could happen! It's so exciting! But here's our take (big thank you to @moscovus for being a great friend and nerding out with me tn):
We were talking mostly about the map and the structure of the world, and because July is still around and hasn't happened yet, if The Destruction will happen during the show. Mainly because it feels like the map will start showcasing the party's adventure across it as the season goes on, and we can't help but notice July is placed perfectly on the right across from our party's starting place, with an orphanage smack dab in the middle. Plus there's a landmark with its name cut off on the far left which seems... Sus. That or the version of the show we watched was just ever so slightly zoomed in. Either or.
So the main theory is that the season 1 finale will be the events of July and Vash will get his iconique 60 bil bounty at the end of s1 because of Knives, leaving season 2 (+??) to cover the already written events of the story. Basically s1 is going to be introducing characters (a little out of order from what we're used to, but still), getting us used to the world/story, and then setting up/paying off with the July incident. So maybe that will be when the whole plant/angel arm reveal to the audience happens in this iteration (or maybe that will be a mid season finale type deal). Then the rest of the main story events will play out in s2 (+?????).
We're thinking changes mean Roberto + Meryl will be in July when the destruction happens and most importantly Roberto will die (or otherwise be written out) as the end of his character arc. My friend suggested his arc being him becoming less jaded as they follow Vash around and learn about Love and Peace. Specifically, we think Roberto will die so that in season 2 (if we get a s2, that's the HINGE) Meryl will get a second partner in Milly because We Want Her Back
Also in general we've come to the agreement that even if Wolfwood is introduced immediately [aka next episode] if he dies this season it's going to feel like an any% wolfwood dies speedrun with how fast everything seems to be progressing. That plus how young he looks, we're thinking maybe we will get a timeskip (kinda like the 5th moon incident timeskip) after the s1 finale (again, hypothetically/hopefully the destruction of July) and we'll actually get to see him change designs bc of the super fast metabolism stuff. AKA this is our plea: bring his tits back.
Also, if July happens during the season finale, then Knives will need time to incubate and heal. What better time to do that than during a between-seasons timeskip.
Anyway. Yeah. Wishlist:
Season 2 pls we love this so much already and we want MORE
July is the season 1 finale
slow
Roberto dies/is written out and is replaced with Milly after he gets satisfying character development
Bring back Vash's 60 billion. 6 million sounds SO WRONG
Wolfwood doesn't die until post season 1
Short timeskip after season 1 into season 2 to set the stage for the 'main' manga plot
If July happens and Knives has to regen after getting blasted/bested then a timeskip would make sense right
Hhhh
Feral plant Vash please we love the feathery baby limbed body horror and cg is the perfect medium for this scene to finally be animated
Elendira
Please
Don't fuck her up please
That's it
Okay actually that's a lie we also wanna see Tessla, Domina, and Chronica animated
But not the truck scene please
Realistically we know our wishlist probably isn't happening given we got a trailer with all the gung ho guns fighting already and what looks like Knives going all-out and they probably wouldn't have animated s2 stuff for a season 1 trailer but man we can hope right? Like maybe they'll just introduce them all before July and Knives is just throwing a temper tantrum like he often does 🥺 I mean he's still gotta make the plant collective and the ark so so so maybe he hasn't started yet despite physically stealing all the plants so far 😭 like if July is the s1 finale then there can still be a big flashy fight and everything, he will just regen after during the timeskip between s1 and s2 like he does in the manga 😭😭 <- is not coping great, clearly
Also, just for the record, it's been a couple months since I've last consumed the manga and the og anime, so forgive me for any inconsistencies or incorrect info, my memory isn't the greatest. I only have room for borderlands lore in here
Odds are, they're probably not following the manga's story, or changed it so significantly that none of this speculation actually matters. We will see!! After all these virus injector explodey things are totally new, so who knows where tf they're taking us next. We certainly don't. We're just having fun with it.
Just as an overall thing, this is us assuming season 1 is going to be 12 episodes. If it's 24, then maybe July will be the mid-season finale and 13+ will be after a timeskip.

100 Followers celebration - Beautiful Anomaly: Snippet
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE 100 FOLLOWERS!
Tumblr media
Whether you're an old follower or a new one, I want to say thank you to everyone who loved my works and my posts from any fandom I have participated in 🥰🥲🤧.
For some news for those who are following the "Beautiful Anomaly" series: It will be awhile before Part 3 will be up because I have just been bestowed a large assignment from one of my professors.
So I present to you a post series snippet of a conversation with Life (aka Fem Reader), Morpheus, Death and Hob Gobling. This takes place some time after the ending of the entire story of Beautiful Anomaly and there aren't any spoilers for the next parts. This is also essentially me making fun of myself because this series started with me being horny for Morpheus/Dream. This is also a reassurance from my end: Yes, the series will have a happy ending for Morpheus and Life (I'm like Bette, I'm a sucker for happy endings). It's all about the journey.
Taglist (if you want to be a part of the taglist just comment requesting so) : @winxschester @true-queen-of-mischief @laydreams @memento-mora @daydreamin1220 @kuchokitty @fate-huntress

"I can't believe you"
"Why not? I really haven't seen it."
"You're English, you've lived for what 6 centuries now - and you still haven't watched a single episode of Doctor Who?"
"Well" He shrugs at you and he gives you an expression.
"Come on there is just so much of life to experience."
"Oh, and following your favorite story isn't an experience?"
"Hey, for your information I was in the audience in most of Shakespeare's plays when he was still Shaxbird."
"And how is that different from watching an amazing story unfold in an entire series?" You're both amazed and exasperated. It was only later that you realized you still had your mouth open.
For someone who has chosen to be immortal to experience life to its fullest, it turns out he wasn't that involved with pop culture. You take a breath as you close your eyes and pinch the bridge of your nose.
"Look, I can forgive you for not knowing about Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, and Moriarty the Patriot - I even forgive you for not knowing about Welcome to Nightvale the top fantasy podcast with amazing story telling using an underrated medium."
"Hey! I do listen to podcasts - just not the fantasy type that's all - "
"I forgive you for not knowing about Homestuck - I haven't even finished the entire thing but from what I recall during my school girl days it was amazing and surreal - "
"To be fair you've also not finished Welcome to Nightvale." Morpheus says as he joins the two of you and settles at your side. From your periphery you see Death wearing garnet and topaz bracelets. One on each hand. She volunteered to be the one doing the orders. Probably to force Morpheus to socialize with both you and Hob.
"I was happy with where I left Welcome to Nightvale; Cecil and Carlos reunited and together. Especially the heartache that came with the whole Desert Bluffs fiasco forcing them apart." He smiles at you knowingly. You didn't need to explain it to him after all that you two have been through and after all the things you two have done to resolve various misunderstandings and other communication issues. He understood why. You turn back to Hob to continue your argument.
"Okay fine how about this: What fandoms are you a part of?" Hob gives you a confused look.
"What's a fandom?"
"OH FOR FATE'S SAKE-"
"Are you part of a community that happily admires a story or a piece of work?" Morpheus asks before you began actually cursing.
"Actually...I don't think so. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy entertainment but its more of a passing thing." You feel your mouth open aghast.
"Does your entertainment by any chance include video games?"
"Oh I've always been a bit intimidated by video games. It was one thing when it was just pong, but now with all of the complicated stuff added on, I just feel like it may not be for me."
"How do you know if you haven't tried?" Death asks as she puts down the tray of your orders from the counter. Morpheus stands to help her distribute the coffees teas and pastry snacks that includes your favorite sugar free chocolate cake paired with your favorite tea in this lifetime, Moroccan Mint tea.
"My friend, you just might need someone to help initiate and guide you. She could very well help you out with that." You turn to Morpheus with an eyebrow raised.
"I'm just a casual gamer. All games I've played are coping mechanisms for my stress in my law school classes." He smirks at you as you take a bite from your cake while you wait for your tea to steep for 3 more minutes.
"Coming from someone who has more than a hundred runs playing Hades."
"And who has completed many routes in mobile dating sim games such as Ikemen Sengoku, Ikemen Vampire, and Ikemen Prince. Not to mention you've written plenty of fanfictions-"
"Okay! I get your point you two." You roll your eyes but everyone knows you weren't really offended.
"Um...what's a fanfiction?"
"What the -" You hear a chuckle from your side as your eyes widen. He couldn't restrain it any longer by the admittedly comical cognitive dissonance between you and Hob.
"Why don't I start explaining it first." Death quickly adds before you could comment.
This was going to take awhile.

1/2 Dont know if its something wrong with my cake (ty foxymoley for this analogy) or what but when engagement drops so much from what you were used to its hard not to take it personally? i know everyone says that theres been a drop and its probably normal but... it seems like some people still hit their prev standards and it feels like *audience is still here so what am i doing wrong*
2/2 theres a bunch of stuff i made this year but didnt share bc posting is less a rush now and more bracing yourself for feeling bad and insecure. Which i know is the wrong way to do fandom but idk im human and legit insecure so. Anyway always love your content and presence here Steffi, youre a pillar of fandom and some of the best this whole place has to offer. Hope things look up 💙💚
Aww, thank you ♥
And I agree with you, you can't help wondering if you are doing something wrong if the engagement drops. No matter how often people say it's not you, it's the platform. And, as you say, people are still getting good engagement, so the fandom isn't dead.
I try to post and not think about it after that, but that's not natural either for fandom. Fandom thrives on community and just posting into the void like I'm not part of a community doesn't feel particularly good. Of course, I'm not good at reaching out to others, so art is one of the few ways I have of "communicating". (Even though most of the time I'm not sure what I'm saying with my art. It's probably just an inarticulate :DDDD or >:3 *lol*)
Anyway. I hope you continue to take your cake to our fandom party, though I definitely understand that you hesitate to share all of it. ♥♥

Clementine Pennyfeather deserves better.
*spoilers ahead*
okay so i don’t normally do posts like this bc i only come on here to reblog, post my gifs, then go, but i have been thinking about this since i finished watching the finale. angela sarafyan is such a good actress. i’ve been going through her filmography since i started watching westworld a few months ago and she is just so immensely talented in everything she’s in. and i’ll be honest she’s been some weird stuff. But she’s so capable that you could give her literally the worst script of all time and she would take it and give an oscar worthy performance. Even if she only has like 2 minutes of screen time, that ends up being the best 2 minutes of the entire movie or show she’s in. she’s just that good. She’s proven (especially in westworld!) that you could give her any kind of material and she will perform the fuck out of it. (not to mention she is flat out gorgeous and could probably make wearing a trash bag look good) but ANYWAYS that being said, i am so sick of the writers wasting her character in every season. clementine is the definition of wasted potential. i really truly think that if they gave her some good fucking material and a bigger role other than a mindless drone whose only purpose is to serve the villain she could be even better. don’t get me wrong, i love seeing clem be a badass and her fight scenes are my favorite but like?? can’t they just.. give her more to do??😭 we’ve have been doing this dance for years now. they bring her back only for her to be under someone else’s control, kill her, bring her back, and then you guessed it! they kill her again. would it kill them to write literally ANYTHING else for her? seriously, can they come up with something else??? i feel like she is constantly being used and abused by the characters and the writers (i mean all the other hosts are) but its just DIFFERENT w her somehow because it feels like such a slap in the face. for example, in the finale she was literally talking about leaving and finding a place where she can be free and i was like yes queen! go live your life and then BOOM they kill her… again. just like in episode 2 of this season she was just vibing, living her best life in a little village, and then before you know it she’s a ruthless killing machine under someone else’s control. again. its just so crazy to me why can’t they let her live lmfao??
i was so excited and surprised that she was coming back this season bc she was only in literally one scene for like 3 minutes last season and i really thought that was the last we’d see of her. but i don’t understand why they keep bringing her back if they’re gonna do the same thing over and over. i think maybe they do that because people love seeing her pop up from time to time but if they know that a lot of people like her, why not give her a story with substance, idk something she can do that doesn’t revolve around someone else??? i’m sure the audience would love that! (i know i would!) i really feel like they just use clem as a prop and don’t actually care about her like they do the other characters. so why bring her back at all if it’s clear they have no plans to give her any sort of story/character development? if they’re not gonna give her better material i wish they would just leave her alone. it’s sucks bc Angela does such an insanely good job with this role too. her robotic/animated mannerisms and line delivery (not that she’s given that much dialogue to begin with lmao) are so realistic it’s actually fascinating to watch. i still think she is the most realistic and scariest of all the hosts in terms of her looks and performance. i think she really catches peoples attention in a good way! but i really wish they would give her more bc Clementine is such an intriguing character with so much potential. Angela is definitely capable and more than talented enough to do whatever the writers give her. i just wish they’d give her MORE TO DO!!!

I'm going to preface this post with this: I do not hate and do not wish for anybody to harass any of the new animation meme creators. They are, as far as I have seen, mostly minors, and I only want them to improve. This is a personal opinion that you can easily not share with me.
With that out of the way, what's the deal with this decade's animation memes?
I'm asking this as somebody who, you could say, grew up on late 2010s AniMemes. Yes, it's not exactly as valid in some eyes than somebody, say, watched AniMemes from earlier, but I digress
It's pretty much a fact that previous decades' animation memes could be split into two categories, and both are still equally popular: dancing ones (Posing, Fashion, Smile, Kasane Territory, etc.) and storytelling ones (recent Darkside, Crash). Now, I'm not saying that these didn't have any loops and/or tweening, as the first type is almost fully comprised of it. And, of course, they could be combined to showcase a character's story or main traits through loops in music (like some older AniMemes by sir fluff, or their Beach Episode meme) (other examples: Melody, There's Something Wrong, Something Has To Happen, I Hate You, etc.)
However! Now, I see... an... alarming(?) abundance of the same type of animation memes, that being an aesthetically pleasing furry character tweened to some daycore'd or nightcore'd loop, sometimes having shapes show up over their face and maybe a limb/tail dragging out paint over the wall. If something out of this seems familiar, that's because you've probably seen it, as YouTube pushes them in recommendations quite frequently
Now, do I have a problem with new AniMemes appearing? Of course not! But there are a couple of things that make me feel a bit concerned/weird:
1. As far as I've seen, most of these new memes are made by kids, possibly influenced by trends on other platforms. I don't have a problem with the kids on YT themselves (I am one, c'mon), but I do wonder if the sudden influx in audience and the overwhelming amount of support is stressful to some degree. And it is the internet, after all, not everybody is going to be overly positive about the work
• Note: I am glad that cringe culture is dying, and that the internet is becoming a more welcoming place ^_^ But too much of anything can be detrimental. Obv, hate brings a lot more wounds, but nobody has excluded paranoia from the idea of people faking positive responses out of pity or as a mean-spirited joke. Another thing is that it looks more like a trend than anything, that will fade away eventually. Along with animators' popularity. Yeesh
2. Speaking of work, while I don't want to insult beginning animators, but... it's a bit stagnant, don't you think? Yes, half if not most of 2010s AniMemes, as I've said before, consist of tweening for most of the video. But not to the degree where almost each and every new meme is a character standing in place and moving their arms up and down maybe lipsyncing. The old AniMemes were a big inspiration for me and still are, because we all can see the varying styles and effort put into them. The new ones... Only feel it for. like. three — I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend, Punk Tactics (as a silly edit loop) and Pass The Dutchie.
3. Related to my previous point: lack of variety in general. Yes, AniMemes should be somewhat easy to create, but since the music in them [2020s ones] is a simple loop with little to no jumps in tone, and the ones I've describes get tons of views and comments, then why bother? You can't get very creative with a song that could be playing unnoticed in a speedpaint or in a grocery store.
Let's take Chime meme as an example of prev-gen AniMeme music: its start could be used for a simple title card, but could also be used to introduce a jokey conflict, a set-up. Next, we have a drop, low-voice "Do you wanna feel?", and two loops, which can be filled with anything
Unrelated, but I used to think said "Do your magazine", when thinking about an AniMeme with Ink Sans making a magazine for Error Sans... you know, as an artist.
Which makes me now realise that it's kind of a perfect example: one part of music makes you think not just of what the original meme did, but of different scenarios, branching and branching, conveying emotions and how you view your OCs. With the new memes, I see a bunch of pretty OCs created solely for the looks with not much story. Which is acceptable. If they have character. And, unfortunatly, I haven't seen much new-gen memes that convey what personalities these OCs have
You won't be perfect when starting out, but improvement is inevitable. You will either do it unconsiously or wish to do so. And sometimes, you need to see what others have done before you to get that push in the right direction

Trying to stay neutral in the face of some of the worst takes you've ever seen is...hard. I try to remember that I may have had the same takes if you took away 10+ years of my fandom experiences. Kneejerk reactions and doom spiraling is very much how I expect younger me might have acted. Though I could do without how literally things are taken at the moment, that's tiring.
Glad to be of service! 🫡 If my main weren't connected to a side blog for another fandom where I know I'd bring possible unwanted attention to myself I'd happily out myself.😄
The double standards: it's very sigh worthy in general and I don't disagree, the men and some specifically, are being held to a standard that was probably unfair to hold them to in the first place. I do realize that a lot of stuff has been fanon or built up the last couple of years and I get it, it's hard to lose your idea of someone. I do think that there's a good chance that men in our ships in general are being held to a standard of the female gaze that isn't about physicality but female empowerment in general. So many men judge women for having sex then immediately do what they're saying women shouldn't do.
It's not really fair to the male characters but the idea that a man would wait for and only want one woman, to be powerless against her in the way women are often portrayed for men in regular media--I get it the appeal that it would carry for some. Men are usually held to a standard of some kind they're sure to miss. If you asked me do I remember meeting my significant other I can tell you details and time and place but if you asked him I'd bet he'd not be able to say much other than he says he knows I was it for him.
I'm with you, I hope that people remember that these are real people not the characters they play and even if they were, to mind their manners.
I have come to just not enjoy screeners at all over the years. I remember one using an emoji for something and you can only imagine how that went. They were biased on top of it and were 100% wrong in its intent. It was a little much.
I think if both scenes are true then we have to have the first one to have the other and the latter one is the only one that matters. The audience is not going to remember a sentence or a throwaway line but they'll remember the scenes themselves. If a throwaway line is enough to get the point across in a visual medium, there's no need to have him staring at her longingly. There's no need to create physical tension between them. They can just tell each other and whoop, problems solved.
I think this, if true, can be handled better but I also think people in fandom forget the largest audience is a general one and they're going to need some hand holding reminders of what's going on. Colin being unable to perform is a damning indictment of what he's done to himself and just how much Penelope affects him. And I have to say that two scenes I'd wager are less than 2-3 minutes total are not going to ruin the romance of a show that's going to have 8 near one hour episodes.
If anything about any of it was even mentioned to Penelope or at all after the fact I would be very surprised. This sort of thing feels very much just a way to establish something with Colin himself. I wouldn't be sad to see it not be true but if it is, I feel it's gotten more importance in fandom than the show is ever going to give it.
I can't imagine Colin being needlessly cruel to Penelope, his words were thoughtless and I'd love to know his side of that story but irrespective of romantic feelings, this man cares deeply for her as it is.
Oh my I went back and checked my original Tumblr blog and I first posted 13 years ago and I still cringe immensely as some of the takes I had back then. Spiraling doesn’t even begin to touch what I was doing back then. Like girl, we had full on meltdowns, actual knock down drag out fights, and even in person stand offs in our fandom. I laugh about it now, most of us are either friends, or acquaintances who see each other around on Facebook or twitter but none of it even matters anymore.
But it got so bad there before the show ended that I eventually abandoned that blog and ended up starting over years later AFTER OUAT had pretty ended on my Captain Swan blog where that family is just a very lovely group of women that have tolerated my absolute abandonment due to my complete anxiety of life. Lol
I didn’t know what to expect with Bridgerton, or even what to expect with a regency type show, it really wasn’t my type of show. And I didn’t know that it had existing books with it until after I had seen season 1. All the girls at work were like “OH girl swoon, you have to watch this show.” And I have a very lovely friend, Natalie, who had written a book called “Emmie and the Tudor King” about the Tudors and I was trying very hard to learn all the rules around that world, so I thought what the hell, lets try this. And now here the hell I am! In another fandom with an actively shooting show.
But after season 1 and 2 with Simon, Anthony, and Benedict, I just figured it make 100% sense that Colin would end up sleeping around. LOL because damn…there is always one seen isn’t there. Maybe it’s a Shondaland thing, or a timeframe thing, but its definitely a theme and its coming to our screen whether we want it or not. I saw a comment earlier today somewhere that if we got up and went to the bathroom during it, it would be over before we got back, so I’m taking solace in that!
I hope they treat Nic and Luke with respect after the season airs. I’ve met my fair share of seeing the actors take the heat of their characters and I have a hole in my heart for the trauma I carry around that fandom I spoke of earlier with how fandom got involved in the actors lives and the result. Again, being young and seeing the spirals of fandom, I feel like I could write a book lol.
Lets get rid of screeners. I get why they have them, pump the hype, but do they? Or do they pump the anger and anxiety? Sometimes they use their “power” to pump the ship wars or stir the wrong sentiment. I know the saying is that all attention is good PR but is it really?
I can’t imagine that Pen finds out about the women or the visit he makes there. I mean yes she or perhaps more likely LW may have something to say about his sudden swagger or new found ladies man behavior, but Pen is not a delicate flower either. She is Lady Whistledown and I don’t think she will wilt. I think last season may have hardened her a bit.

ohhhhhh my fucking god.
I need to get around to making that neocities.
EDIT: um. Ok. Accidentally Posted a vent mid typing
I dont feel like retyping any of that so ill just edit this in the morning since its getting late
So yeah here i go free write venting sawry <3
Just gettin them (unfinished) feelings out
fyi recently decided to check out what neocities is abt after hearing friends gushing abt it n after scrolling around sites I got hyped n decided to make my own neocities after I realized this could possibly solve all my problems sdhkhkfgd
first of all,
............. not to bring this up for the 7848234th time but. yeah Im still having spiraling thoughts abt my girl + the AU. Yes, as I said earlier the intensity of those spirals have died down significantly. but unfortunately its still there, at the back of my mind. and uh oh!!!!!!!!!! unfortunately theres days where it spikes!!!! and frankly brothers i cant take these thoughts anymore,, i need a place to get the fuck away from social media
I honestly feel thats the reason why I have these thoughts. I haaaate having to fucking overthink posting anything that could be percieved as cringe on my own fucking accounts to prevent the possibility that it could be the post could have me marked as a sort of “lolcow” or laughing stalk known to the internet. I haaaaate that when I have to talk to ppl, fuck even my own online friends, i haveta be walking eggshells via the irony mask and hide shit bc if i feel if i do i have justify my stance to not be seen as cringe!!!!!! I haaaaaaaaaate this fucking terminally online paranoia!!!!!!!!
and I know me saying “I need to get away from social media, im growing paralyzingly sick from my chronically online brainrot” and proceeding to still do this in an another online public space instead of just simply just stop posting abt Her + the AU and maybe even mass delete anything abt them if theyre doing nothing but causing me stress is a weird decision.... but ok.. hear me out
as a creative, the alternative (just mass deleting + stop posting)  is just.....feels so alienating? Like we all crave..an audience??? idk how to fucking explain it but we all like the idea of at least a few ppl liking our stuff? And despite all this headache,,, i still care her 🥺
the thought that this thing I care abt, that I made with my own two hands, that I cannot ever show that to anyone.... thats devestating
I think the reason I keep spiraling is that I feel there is no safe space for me to post abt this. Perhaps specifically fear of the wrong type of ppl catching wind of it.
The current online landscape is fucking hell. Irony poisoned n the standards are so high, ppl will not put up with mediocrity or cringe and they will be LOUD and clear about that.
Not even tumblr is safe.
Neocities though, from what ive seen its the fucking safe haven for self indulgence. Its not uncommon for ppl to have these things called "shrines", a small subwebsite within a website commonly used to just like. Infodump abt whatever thing they like, often obscure and maybe a little "cringe" (i dont mean this to insult them but like. Yknow what i mean right)
Additionally, I wont have to worry about the Wrong People" finding out abt me and My Bullshit. Or most anyone discovering me and My Bullshit. Being into neocities is kinda a "niche", most ppl dont know anything abt neocities asides from programming nerds rlly nostalgic for the old days of the internet!
If anyone for whatever reads this made it this far... Yep. I finally actually went through with the decision of deleting any trace of her off both my tumblrs. I will no longer be talking about her on tumblr unless until this game releases.
Its the perfect place to hide her for now....
Besides, ive been let go of the only job my incompetent ass could ever do but probably still fucked up anyways.  Think I need a fucking hobby that could maybe double as a skill so. Why not dust off what little programming stuff I know and expand upon in it in case my moms right and I cant rlly get my art career to pop off
Though... I guess the one downside for this is that while I hopefully wont be able to directly recieve hate about the AU...I dont think I will be able to recieve any possible love for it either.
As much as i hate to sound like some attentionwhore, and as much as i had a crippling fear of being found out by the Wrong People... there is a small inkling hope and..curiosity for people that might like it
Again, neocities isnt well known. The one upside to me posting my GLITCHED shit on tumblr is that this is prrobably? The only place where GLITCHED has an actual fanbase on tumblr, so i could like get engagement (ugh.... Hate phrasing it like that. Like im sort of numbers obsessed influencer. But i cant think of what else to call it. The possibility of the fans + the rare outsider interacting n being able to read nice or funny little notes), so I highly doubt anyone is going to think to click on the link to my Gina shrine since GLITCHED isnt well known either once I finish my neocities. Even if someone was curious enough to find my website + the shrine n wanted to express that they liked it, Neocities doesnt have a built in system where people can send messages to the creator.
I am going to post the link to my neocities, since well. I know that there is a small few who did like her (or just appreciated the passion i had).

A Quick Checklist To Confirm That Your Company Website Is Fit For Purpose
Pixabay CC0 License
By now, virtually all businesses are supported by a company website. However, the digital landscape has evolved at a rapid pace in recent years. So, if yours has not been updated in some time, it is probably due some TLC.
Crucially, you need to know that it is fit for purpose and will help your company reach its intended goals. Ask yourself the following questions to keep things on track.
1- Does it get seen?
First and foremost, your website cannot succeed if nobody knows that it exists. After designing your site, you must ensure that it is supported by a strong SEO strategy. This will ensure that people can find the site. Meanwhile., getting it listed on directories is another suitable step. Crucially, though, you must also consider the choice of domain name. Opting for the free subdomain offered by your web host simply won’t do. Your site needs the authority of its own domain. When supported by a web host that offers maximum uptime, you won’t go far wrong.
2- Is it designed with my industry needs in mind?
Designing an attractive website that boasts an attractive color scheme and layout is one thing. However, you also need to consider the industry-specific purpose of the site. After all, a restaurant website will have contrasting aims to an online fashion store. Realtors can embrace tools like Easy Agent PRO to build a site where property listings are the priority. Alternatively, you could find a dedicated eCommerce platform for an online retail outlet. With the right tools in place, the company website will have a far better shot at getting visitors to take the intended action.
3- Does it work on all devices?
When designing your company website, it’s important to remember that the performance on your device counts for very little. The goal is to ensure that it works well on customer devices. You may find that your audience is split across mobile and web browsers. Likewise, you may find that there are Android, iOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems. Websites should always load within 3 seconds if you want to keep visitors engaged. You can ask friends to try out the website from their devices to check this. Launching an app works well for many reasons too.
Pixabay CC0 License
4- Are social media platforms well integrated?
While the website is the main hub of your digital marketing strategy, it’s not the only key asset. You must also pay attention to the contributing features that funnel visitors to your website. When using Instagram or Facebook to support your business, you need to know that they integrate with your site. This could mean using automated social media sharing. Or it may mean that your social media posts include direct product links that take customers to the website. In turn, you should see greater conversions and help more people find their way to the sales funnel. In turn, your website’s overall performance will be vastly improved. Day after day.
6- Is it suitably protected? Right now, cyberattacks are a major concern for businesses and website users alike. Therefore, you must ensure that your company site is supported by the right tools like SSL certificates. Meanwhile, any website that generates sales must use a secure payment gateway. Aside from preventing breaches and the fallout that comes with them, the right safety measures will keep consumers at ease. This could boost sales from new customers while also encouraging long-term loyalty from existing clients. In turn, your entire business model will look better than ever.
