The Guest House
"This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond."

it’s “but should anyone try to sever them, the hazel dies right away, and the honeysuckle, the same day. ‘dear love, that's our story, too: never you without me, me without you!’” and it’s “he's more myself than i am. whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” and it’s “i could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; i would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. i would know him in death, at the end of the world.” and it’s “he stepped down, trying not to look long at her, as if she were the sun, yet he saw her, like the sun, even without looking.” and it’s “i would like to be the air that inhabits you for a moment only. i would like to be that unnoticed and that necessary.” and it’s “so, i love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.” and it’s “goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation.” and it’s "in another life, i would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you." and it’s

A HORA DA UNIÃO - RUMI

You are that blessed soul who
belongs to the garden of paradise,
is it fair to let yourself
fall apart in a shattered house ?
You are the bird of happiness
in the magic of existence,
what a pity ! Why you let
yourself be chained and caged ?
Break free !
Break free from this dark prison
called material world,
soon you will see
you are the sage and the fountain of life.

Where Everything is Music by Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī
Don’t worry about saving these songs! And if one of our instruments breaks,it doesn’t matter.
We have fallen into the placewhere everything is music.
The strumming and the flute notesrise into the atmosphere, and even if the whole world’s harpshould burn up, there will still behidden instruments…

Art: MJ/Me
* * * *
I died as mineral and became a plant,
I died as plant and rose to animal,
I died as animal and I was human;
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?
As a human, I will die once more,
Reborn, I will with the angels soar.
And when I let my angel body go,
I shall be more than mortal mind can know.
Oh, let me not exist! for Non-existence
Proclaims in organ tones, 'To the One we shall return.'

Soul of all souls, life of all life — you are That. Seen and unseen, moving and unmoving — you are That. The road that leads to the city is endless; go without head and feet and you’ll already be there. What else could you be? —you are That...

“Come, come, whoever you are. Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow a thousand times.
Come, yet again, come, come.”
