Everyone complaining about amogus in glass onion clearly seems to forget that during covid they along with the world were obsessed with it. This movie is set during the pandemic and shows us exactly how the rich and powerful showed no regard for it (birdie Jay throwing a massive party, miles inviting his friends over to his private island) while benoit had a mental breakdown from being locked inside for so long and his husband hugh grant is stress baking.

Knives Out and Glass Onion obviously are great for a multitude of reasons, but I enjoy how at the center, the REAL victims and those who got justice for the people wronged in the end were WOC and I want to see more of that if/when more sequels come out.

Derol figuring things out whilst all the murder/mystery is happening is a big mood
I took this on my phone so excuse the crap quality but Derol was such a nice character who didn't even care about the entire situation or his friend(?) Miles lmfao
Like he just was sitting in the dark when the lights turned off and just chilled after hearing a gunshot??? Then he decided well, time to head outside to sit down and pop myself a beer
He just saw Blanc walking out and went "hey bro sit with me", my man said he was minding his business and there for a good time and that's all Derol needed

Okay, but have we considered the new Goncharov effect, which is that now posts about real movies sound fake?
...A film called Glass Onion, you say? (hmmm, like the parody site “The Onion”?) In which international heartthrob and Bond actor Daniel Craig plays a confirmed gay character? In the middle of a murder mystery? On a beautiful exotic Greek island? With the legendary and gorgeous non-binary bicon Janelle Monáe as a part of the cast as well? In a double role? All of my queer heart’s dreams coming true in one subtextually homoerotic action movie? Nice try, Tumblr. I’m not falling for that one twice.

You all are so annoying “the Mona Lisa is fake so Helen didn’t accomplish anything!!!1!1!1”
Literally be fucking serious. Is it because perhaps, a common misconception that the Mona Lisa is on a canvas and not wood? Yes I think so!
THE WHOLE DAMN MOVIE IS ABT HOW THE BLACK WOMAN WILL ALWAYS BE THE MOST DISRESPECTED IN A GROUP.
Like why are you belittling the heroines hard work and emotions suffering like that? Why are you hell bent on making the entire movie pointless? If the Mona Lisa was a fake then nothing, AND I MEAN NOTHING, in that movie would matter. Helen won. Deal with it and stop trying to belittle the black woman.

The biggest mystery in Glass Onion is why the hell andi was friends with Miles in the first place, like the shitheads didn't like him until andi made him likeable. Is it just because he was a non threatening white guy, that his "I'm not like other guys" schtick really work andi? I could understand why everyone else would fawn over him because I've met my fair share of Mileses and hated all of them, maybe he was super wealthy and she needed financing (because that kind of man is always from a well off family, no one that stupid and self centered can ever come from poverty, it has to be nourished in a privileged setting )
