Well, now I feel challenged /lh /j.

I think that cDream being autistic make sense quite a lot BUT I definitely think that it is not a root of all / most misunderstandings - at least at the beginning, he was being absolutely challenged by cWilbur and cTommy and I think that he did the only logical thing, trying to protect his server and friends. His friends later turning their backs on him bc he was unable/unwilling to explain his reasons and feelings adds to the autistic theory but as a toxic cDream apologist I can not help but blame them for just abandoning him without really trying to understand him - like, even if he could explain himself better, I really don't think that would change that much - the root of all problem here would be more other people being unable to understand HIM, not the other way around (although cDream definitely made some wild assumptions(or didn't understand how some people think at all) regarding certain people (*cough* Sam) that backfired spectacularly)

Nah not weird, welcome to the fun! Glad you’ve decided to share. (Hopefully this won’t deter you from pitching in in the future. <3) Don’t worry it’s all light hearted around here, as far as I’m concerned this blog isn’t about arguing it’s about discussion. Agree, disagree, further add, I just have a good time talking about my obsession. :) Generally speaking, to me I don’t think it’s about right or wrong (though to be clear I am always right/jk lol XD) because I think there is typically a bit of both mixed in and there is always something to take away.

Anyways… yea so challenge accepted lol. (just as fyi I did write this and the essay kinda simultaneously so umm whatever I don't cover here is probably in that... somewhere....). Now, I did pick my wording very specifically and it’s ok to kinda miss exactly what I was saying. So just to clarify, I did say ‘a’ root because while I believe it is a huge factor at play I do recognize that it is by no means the only factor at play. Along the same lines, you are exactly right, it is not just about him failing to understand or communicate but also largely about them misunderstanding him. It is very much a failure on both sides and assumptions made that cause this miscommunication. When I mean misunderstanding and miscommunication I mean all around. Though I also agree. As an autistic person (and a c!Dream apologist) I do tend to see it more as a failure to understand c!Dream and a lack of willingness to try on the part of the others. Because as an autistic person I am often the one without the information to realize that something has gone wrong. I may not recognize when I’ve broken an unspoken rule or when I’ve failed to communicate properly. But even if I did the other people have to be willing to hear me out in the first place and understand my actual intention.

With that in mind, it does go back to the very beginning. I challenge you to watch the early streams (especially when c!Wilbur gets involved) and see c!Dream struggle to be heard and get his viewpoint across. The founding of L’manberg? Make no mistake it was in large part due to declaring c!Dream the unfair tyrant and villain. And it was easy for them to do so because a) c!Dream is at a disadvantage to communicate the latter. - And it’s not for a lack of trying. Because he does try, he pulls out dictionaries, he pulls out former events, he tries so hard to get them to hear him, but time and time again they miss it. And make no mistake that is on them, as you said they are to blame here. -

And, b) because c!Dream is different that spurs people to think he is wrong, often more subconsciously. (I’m not going to get into too much more detail on this point as this is already so long and I meant for it to be shorter…. oops. So I am aware this is overly simplified and likely poorly worded, but I'll try and cover it more in the essay.) But yes not only is miscommunication and the misunderstanding at play but also misunderstanding in relation to their perception of each other. Both their misconceptions about c!Dream - taking c!Tommy and c!Wilbur’s words at face value, making poor assumptions about him, and fearing/hating what they don’t quite understand - and his poor assumptions about them (don’t even get me started on c!Sam…), often stemming from their brains being literally different.

Honestly everybody can try to explain everything we have all witnessed this past few weeks away by calling it media play or cosplay but realistically speaking, I REALLY DON’T BELIEVE TAE AND JK ARE DATING.

You can say maybe Jk is intentionally not mentioning Tae or maybe the company is forcing him not to or maybe he doesn’t see the need to and maybe in some weird way, all these might make sense but you know what will NEVER make sense? Seeing how happy Jk looked after the whole Taennie fiasco. Let’s face it, in a majority of Jk Lives starting February, he looked a mess! He was incessantly drinking on his Lives, falling asleep, getting emotional on Lives and many pple were worried about him but on that Live he did immediately after that Taennie scandal, that was the happiest i have seen Jk in a while! I know that if the whole thing is a sham like many pple believe it is, Jk would know and it wouldn’t affect him yes but he also won’t look that happy knowing that the whole world thinks his boyfriend is dating someone else! Say what you want but it just ISN’T possible talkless for someone like Jk who is possesive as hell! In his last two lives, he never looked happier honestly and while i was happy seeing him like that, my Taekook heart broke a lil bit. I wasn’t hoping he would be sad or depressed or anything but I didn’t think he would look so happy and giddy either. And it certainly didn’t help how obviously happy he looked whenever he spoke about Jimin. I don’t expect him to speak about Tae everyday but there was a clear difference in his expressions when he spoke about Jimin and when he spoke about other members or other people. I feel like all this while, i’ve been selfishing kinda projecting my wishes on Teakook and kinda ignoring the obvious because i wanted them to be real so bad but in hindsight, i think i do see what Jikookers see and have been saying all along. There is just something different about the way Jk reacts to Jimin. I had to force myself to watch the Live he did to promote/support Jimin’s album and honestly I don’t think i’ve ever seen Jk react like that to Tae or anyone else. He loves his Taehyung hyung very much but i think we might have misunderstood alot of things and it breaks my heart to even admit this but it’s how i feel. Taekook were like a safe place for me and i really love and admire their bond and friendship and maybe somehow i started wishing they were more not necessarily cuz i saw anything sus but cuz that is what i wanted for them but maybe all it is, is just really a friendship. After those taennie pics dropped last year, a part of me believed they could be real but i guess i forced myself to thinking they were not but after the Paris video, I don’t want to continue lying to myself anymore. I still had a little shred of hope as i was waiting to see Jk mood but once again, i was kinda disappointed. Well i really do love Tae and Jk together and individually and from here on out i’ll support them individually but personally, i’m done with this whole shipping business. If Tae is really with Jennie, i’ll be happy for him and i’ll support him wholeheartedly. Same with Jk! I don’t know who he is with but i wish him the best.

I think it’s important that we taekookers actually start looking at things from a more realistic standpoint, rather than through the lens of theories and narratives. Sometimes the real answer is the simplest one. Like one anon said, if Taekook are a real couple, then I don’t understand their game plan cuz while Tae keeps mentioning Jk, Jk keeps mentioning Jimin and it really doesn’t look good. I know that him and Jimin are best friends but let’s face it, Jk is clearly kinda obsessed with mentioning or speaking about Jimin and almost everyone sees it. I know that Jk doesn’t have it in him to pretend and that is why I don’t pay attention to pple who claim he does it cuz he has to. No. I think it’s clear that he does it cuz he enjoys talking about Jimin. Its also not just that he talks about Jimin, it is how he talks about Jimin. He has spoken about Tae too on Lives but let’s face it, it was rarely ever more than a few sentences but we have him narrating whole stories about Jimin, making references to Jimin, watching Jimin on shows, while looking so endeared and we again know that Jk doesn’t concentrate on things he doesn’t like, so him sitting there doing all these extra stuff for Jimin is cuz he wants to. Other members have come out with albums but he barely mentioned them. Even when Tae’s solo songs came out years ago, he barely sang them or spoke about them but he has sang every single one of Jimin solo songs. Every single one. Even the way he hypes Jimin up is just different. He really doesn’t act like that with any other member. Again, yes i know Jimin is his bestfriend but don’t you think he would atleast want to do some of these things too for Tae? I read a post on Reddit and it made alot of sense. Jk had always been partial to Jimin right from the beginning but i think we just collectively ignored it and highlighted the things he did for Tae but comparatively, he always did or does the most special and unique things for Jimin. I don’t know what they are both thinking but i’m honest enough to admit that Jk obviously loves talking about Jimin and he obviously isn’t affected in the least way by the whole Taennie situation. I don’t know Tae personally but i’ve been a fan of his long enough to know that he definitely wouldn’t agree to doing anything that would intentionally mislead people. I know he had agency and autonomy and won’t let the company use him for whatever dirty game they want to play and that is why i really don’t think the Paris video was media play. It would make no sense for him to agree to the media play, yet continues to give his fans and supporters the impression that he and Jk are together. Also sometimes, when you look at the boys’ relationship with Bang PD, it’s hard to think they have such a good relationship where they can openly Joke and laugh about his pot sized belly and he even cooks for them and has one on one dinner outings with them, all while treating them like puns in some game or like puppets! I’m sorry but i just don’t see it. I know that Hybe might be nasty as hell but i also believe that BTS members have agency! They have autonomy! They are stake holders for crying out loud. Do you honestly believe that these same pple, and Tae for that matter (who is a known rebel) will allow the company use them like that? Realistically? I’m sorry but i just don’t think so.

I never much appreciate people saying things like: ‘we taekookers’. I am very capable of thinking for myself. You are sounding a bit condescending here. This is how you are feeling right now, but it is not how I am feeling and I don’t tend to think I am wrong just because someone else is telling me that I am.

Your reaction to this whole situation is exactly why pr-stunts are still a thing. They work. You had been thinking Tae and Jk were real, bit now you don’t because of things that have been put in your way. The whole purpose is to make people believe Jk and Tae are just friends.

I also don’t share your sentiment of ‘wanting to believe in a ship’. I’d be fine if they weren’t. It would even mean that there has been less hardship in their lives. I just think that they are in a relationship, because of things I’ve observed. I can already sense that you are going to walk straight over to being a Jikook shipper. So maybe think about why you need a ship in your live. And I’m not saying that because I want to be mean, but just.. it isn’t necessary to have a ship in your live. And you walking straight from one to another, feels like you are wanting to fill a void.

Jk being unhappy/a mess in his lives. I don’t agree with your assessment of that and especially not with your reasoning. You now think that obviously Taekook cannot be real, so having stated that… what do you think the reason for his sadness was in those lives? I don’t connect that to Tae, you are the one connecting Jk’s lives to his relationship with Tae. I think Jk was sometimes emotional because it’s a weird time in their lives. They have to say goodbye to an important time in their careers and they have to say goodbye to other members. I think saying goodbye to Jin was extremely hard to Jk and it was possible the moment it sinked in that.. yes things are changing. Now that it’s happening Jk has gotten time to process and probably feels better. Not every bit of sadness or happiness comes from relationships. Jk took very long to do a live after the Paris footage dropped. Again.. time to process.

hey storm but I think I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one!, I don’t think it’s a matter of believing for the live you’ve linked in that tumblr ask but a matter of acknowledging. in that specific live I’m certain jimin was there and I don’t think there’s much to explain bc frankly that was straight up Jimins voice and he was given subtitles unless I’m absolutely delusional and hearing things 😭 which I hope I’m not since I have very sensitive hearing. but I personally think he wasn’t trying to hide jimin bc they were doing something sneaky or he didn’t want ppl to know but they just wanted to spend more time with eo. The live in question is jks 7/30/2021 live where he does karaoke and takes requests from army’s, my reasoning for believing jimin was there is because I think they just like to spend that much time together as jm told us in a vminkook live where he tells us that jk visits his room three times a day and just sits there and does nothing so I’m assuming that applies in their everyday life including just the time they were in the hotels. And we almost always see jikook gravitating towards eo and just sitting and basking in each others presence in bangtan bombs and memories and all contents while doing nth so i didn’t assume it’d be a big deal if jm just accompanied him while he spent time w army during a solo live.

but there was also the matter of where jm would sit, in Jimins birthday live in 2021 we see a sort of stool/chair in the corner of Jimins live which i assume is the one jk used when he joins him in the live but it also seems like a good place for somebody to sit on as well esp if the camera is turned away from that direction and is portrait like we had in that live of jks that I’ve been referencing.

And we also have in jimins live after he topped the billboard charts where he says he was alone that night but at the beginning of the live he says in Korean “hurry leave” and there’s breathing from smn else and what lots of jikooks assume a kiss sound and a sort of scoff (could be a stretch but idk)(and around 17.23 of the live smn says iloveyou in Korean as he talks ab charging his phone) and im definitely not saying he’s lying but he absolutely doesn’t have to say that he was w anyone and he owns the right to keep that to himself but I’m just using this to say that he didn’t have to outright make jms presence known in that 7/30 live for us to recognise that he was there.

But I think my biggest reasoning for believing jimin was there was bc he was and that was his voice, i don’t think it was jk mumbling at all bc jk and jm have never sounded alike especially when comparing their two voices and not just that but the audio was given subtitles so there definitely was a voice coming from smn that wasn’t jk bc jks lips didn’t even move and if they did it wasn’t enough to illicit a sentence that was understandable. Let’s talk: The Rumor

Hi guys, again, Admin 2 here. 

We got a lot of questions, nice and less nice ones, about the Tae dating rumor and its connection to Vmin. Just based on the questions and the tone they’re written in, this whole gotcha atmosphere they all have about how “ha! didn’t we tell you vmin is bullshit because Tae is straight”, you can conclude how many people would love for this rumor to be true because it would perfectly fit into their agendas. 

That’s why I won’t get too deeply into it or deeply philosophize about the pictures and whether or not it’s possible or not, and instead under the absence of the more soft spoken admin 1, I will simply write what I think. While highlighting that this is just my opinion and no one is forced to believe it or even agree with it. 

Let’s start with what I’ve mentioned before, the fact that I’m someone working in graphic design and therefore know what editing and falsifications possibilities different programs give you. And I have to admit that the pictures are, already upon first glance, so obviously fake so I was surprised why people actually even just for a moment thought they’re real. 

Secondly, I won’t beat around the bush and simply say that I think that, with such naively, immaturely, and badly made pictures and the narratives being spun around them, I doubt any agency or person with proper money stands behind this because if they did, they would hire someone who would edit these pictures in a way that would make them undoubtedly real looking with no room for arguments. 

Therefore, as someone who likes to look around all corners of social media, like I’ve mentioned before, I think that this whole thing about Tae and Jennie is simply a creation of rivaling shippers, especially J/*k/*ok ones. And I know many people will get very offended by this statement, but I’ve seen a lot of people who, to say it carefully, go to extreme lengths in their delulu and their sick obsession, and it’s exactly those kind of people that are the ones pushing this the most since they very much want Tae to be straight and with someone, literally anyone, other than Jimin. They see him as too big of a threat so they’re trying to push him onto someone else because if he’s out of the picture their ship can happily exist and they will get their gotcha moment against other maknae line shippers which they’ve waited almost a decade for. 

Because of all that, along with the statement HYBE posted, I don’t see any reason to further think, analyze, talk or interact with this false rumor at all. If any of this were true, I think Tae would be more likely to say something or give a solid hint, even if only out of respect toward his partner and his feelings for them (instead of making a shocked weverse post about how scary IG is after accidentally following their now supposed partner there, or wearing a Your Dog Isn’t My Dog shirt). 

Why do people constantly ask for a HYBE statement (one exactly phrased and written the way they demand it to be because no other one is valid in their opinion)? Why should HYBE make a statement about dumb shipper rumors, after all K-Pop lives based on those, and these Tae x Jennie rumors, theories and edits have existed for years, just like JK x Lisa or Rose ones or Jin x Jisoo ones, as examples. Besides if this rumor really were to cause harm to someone (or someone’s business/money) or were happening in spite of things, there would’ve long been a reaction, like last year with HYBE reacting fairly quickly to the Tae x Joanna rumors.

I’m not writing this because I want to prove that Vmin are together or anything like it, instead I’m doing it because this rumor is so annoying since it’s currently being basically forcefully pushed by weird people and brand new accounts and a “leaker” who’s changed their narrative about a hundred times by now despite what HYBE said. No PR company hired by agencies with budgets like YG or HYBE would be this incredibly sloppy. There’s enough accounts on Twitter alone who cosplay as HYBE staff, fictitious family members or friends, who push false narratives and informations all solely based around their own agendas, usually dictated by their own shipping or hate biases. And that’s how I see this rumor as well.

When I first joined the fandom on twt I followed all 7 members’ solo fanbases to get more specific content about each of them individually. No doubt, the most childish, immature, and unprofessional ones were all the jk fanbases. Like I was literally dreaming of coming across one fanbase that was levelheaded. Most of the other members’ fanbases are very professional and don’t thrive off of negativity (though actually a lot of Jimin and Hobi ones surprisingly are almost as bad).

But at least with pjms, Jimin was sabotaged by the industry and to an extent by the company so I get their anger (and also the way he’s used by shippers) even if they say some of the dumbest shit.

With jkks, though, they’re literally just delusional and obsessed with charts and numbers to an insane degree, worse than other kpoppies as a matter of fact.

Like with every solo album, I’d see solo fans of the members actually appreciating the music, or making theories, or analyzing the lyrics/MVs etc.. (aside from being hateful towards other members since most akgaes are like that) but with jkks? No what’s leading each conversation is numbers and records, to the point of making ridiculous comparisons and making up bullshit/lies due to insecurity. They don’t care about art.

And they’re the most insecure for no ducking reason and cannot for the life of them leave any conversation alone without having the need to explain how “jungkook is actually superior in every way” even about things jk isn’t a part of. Like he deserves better fans istg. It’s embarrassing.

I’m not the previous anon and don’t really have any strong opinion about the situation but from what I understand it’s not about Jimin scheduling the live to match with Jungkook’s birth time. The point is that his watch was showing a whole different time compared to actual time in Korea at that moment. His live started around 9 pm KST but his watch was showing 3:25 or something like this that happened to be the same as JK’s birth time. I guess some people believe it’s too much of a coincidence

Ah, right. That makes more sense, I guess. I saw something about that. Would Jimin even know how to unwind his clock to Jungkook's birth time and stop it there? Would he ask the sales person to do that for him? If it really isn't a coincidence, then Jikook are honestly on a whole other level of romantic gestures that I cannot even begin to phantom. Your ask made me look up what some Jikookers have been saying and apparently we first see his watch around 3 min into the live and it shows 3:27 or something, which is why it seems like Jimin unwound his watch to JK's birth time. Tbh, it actually makes sense and wouldn't be a stretch given Jikook's obsession with meaningful numbers. All the same, it's the kind of coincidence that makes you feel a bit delulu - so to speak. When it comes to stuff like this, I also don't feel very strongly either way. I accept it as a very real possibility that matches what we know of Jikook, while also accepting that it might just be a coincidence because we don't have all the facts, and it's no biggie either way.

Btw, here are the threads that I saw: x x. I don't know the legitimacy of those accounts which is another reason why I always take these theories with a grain of salt. When it comes to shippers and fans in general, reason is often thrown out of the window, and especially on twitter - no offense to these accounts or to my anons.

I’m pretty convinced Jikook are a thing but let’s be honest there’s a lot of wishful thinking and theories that are bonkers and I absolutely don’t believe in. Jikookers are shippers and like every shipper they twist things so it can fit their own narrative. Every little thing becomes a thing when you ship. It can be fun but it’s a bit obsessive. I personally wouldn’t put too much thought into this Weverse moment thing, JK is known to be impulsive like that, the video was months old and it’s on every shippers account anyway, lol. And if Jimin really is his partner then it’s part of his private life, there’s no reason to involve him in his solo work I think? Unless they do a collab or something.

For me, Jk posting the thirst trap on weverse was a statement. It would be there forever.

Yeah, it's gone and it probably doesn't mean much to them but as a fan, that meant something to me.

And looking at this from a nonshipper point of view, it was Jk erasing part of his wild side for the sake of his public image. That's what was dissapointing to me.

There are different ways to look at things and even by watching it with non shipper lens, it was just kinda off.

I read your take on this and while I appreciate the fact that you are atleast one Taekooker who doesn’t seem to hate Jimin and can acknowledge Jikook’s bond, i also can’t seem to understand why after everything we have all witnessed, you still think Taekook is real. I’m really curious!

First of all, seeing as you are a tkkr, I understand why you would think Jikook do not communicate as much if not more than TK based on certain things we’ve all witnessed. Now i’m going to be stating facts as to why I personally feel and think Jikook are still the closest pair and possibly in a relationship.

We didn’t always know this but now, we know that Jimin basically lived with his producer while he was working on his album and for the longest time, we haven’t seen Jimin hang out with anyone. He mostly saw Jhope and Suga cuz they all were also working on their albums or songs so they met e/o frequently at the office reason why i think Taekook were able to for the first time in 10 years hang out as much outside if work. Taekook were the only pair that were not as busy and Jimin was clearly unavailable as he too was really busy and working on various stuff! So isn’t it only natural that Taekook who are already such close friends will hang out with e/o as much as they can in their free time? How does 6months if constant hangouts of TK suddenly cancel years of consistent closeness we all witnessed with Jikook? Do you suddenly think that just because Taekook hung out alot these past few months, and Jikook didn’t (not publicly anyway) jikook suddenly grew a lil distant? The same two pple who have been joined at the hip for years and who clearly love and value e/o? Do you honestly think if Jimin was available we would have had as many Taekook outings? Now i’m not in anyway saying Tae was just filling in for Jimin but the truth is, Jimin is the one Jk has been used to being with alot especially behind cameras. How do i know this? Well, only 10 years worth of ORIGINAL CONTENT, listening to what the members says about Jikook and what Jikook say about e/o and not buying into ridiculous conspiracy theories. That’s how i know! How many times has Tae himself told us that Jikook are off hanging out together at some weird time of the night? How many times have the members mentioned Jikook being together randomly? How many times have Jikook themselves told us they were together? We know that Jimin and Jk are all nighter buddies! Jk himself said this! Jhope said the same thing in his documentary! These two are in the habit of staying up late together just doing whatever! Jk choosing to go to Jimin and Jk’s room everynight, Jk making his bed a dogpile and going to sleep in Jimin’s bed, Jikook putting blankets outside and sleeping together so they don’t wake the other members up. JK obsessively going to Jimin’s hotel room 3 times a day cuz he is “bored” and going sometimes at 1am! Jimin never missing any of JK’s birthdays while Tae is nowhere to be found. Jikook riding together for years! Jimin being the only member ti stay behind with Jk when he was injured. Jk choosing Jimin as the member who knows him best. How does all of this closeness suddenly disappear just withing a few months and just by seeing Taekook hangout alot (when Jimin is clearly not available) how does Jk saying he watched vibe with Tae mean he is now closest to Tae? How does Taekook constant communication prove that they are now the closest duo? How do you compare two things when you literally have little to no information about one of them? We know that Taekook have been together alot since chapter 2 but we literally have very little information about Jikook and their activities. You think they had not seen alot of e/o cuz of the hug in the BTB? Lol you clearly don’t know Jikook’s dynamic and by doing that, you are also ignoring the alcohol conversation they were having prior to that hug. I've seen your two (!) very lengthy follow ups to this ask, and I just hope you've stopped writing by now, because I'm not going to post those. I mean... I'm very obviously a Taekook blog. What do you expect from me? I've looked into this deeply, I'm not just babbling on about theories and I'm certainly not hating on Jimin. I've gone into this at length already, so if you really feel like you want to understand my reasoning... just scroll through my blog, you will easily find my take on things.

We just see things very differently. You see everything with Jikook in mind. And while you acuse me from being biased, you so very clearly are as well. Take for instance Jk's live. I did not say he was surprised by seeing Jimin, I said he hadn't seen the footage. It's very apparent because of things like this:

Jk was obviously surprised to hear Butterfly. Had he seen the footage before, he wouldn’t have been. And there’s more instances like that. I’m sure he watched it because of Jimin, but it was certainly new to him.

The ‘alcohol’ conversation (I don't understand Korean, so the alcohol bit was lost to me), I’m not sure what Jikookers made of it, but to me it was clear that they hadn’t seen each other shortly. Because if they had been drinking together, they wouldn't have adressed it like that. They would know it was both of them, or one of them. Smelling like alcohol is a very distinct smell, people who drink regularly (BTS members) don't have to actually witnessed a member drinking to recognize that smell. So.. I don't know what that conversation proves to you, but to me it's nothing special.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this too. The only theory I have is that CDs are expensive to manufacture. I assume a single like tae’s has a budget attached. And with that budget you can do certain things. It’s probably dependent on the projected return on investment. And CDs did not fit within the budget calculation.

On the other hand, we know they are hellbent on making a jk a giant star, so each single was important for them to go all out for to make sure he consistently charts high for their K-Justin Bieber narrative. The investment was “worth it” to them.

For TTH- I looked into it and it seems to be based on a “pitch process” to the Spotify editorial team. They are pretty vague about it, so I’m sure there is power plays/payola involved and that someone like scooter has more pull with them. One of Cardi’s new songs wasn’t added to TTH upon release and her fans were angry/surprised. But somehow JK got the cover when SNTY came out and his fans said it’s because his other songs performed well.

All that being said, it’s still weird to me that tae’s Korean songs were on TTH and the new song was not, unless there was really money involved the first time.

For jimin I have no idea. If any part the TTH “pitch process” is real and objective, I could see him getting added because of the BB#1 and the consistently high streams of LC. But that would require BH to pitch him in the first place.

I can get with the budget part but I really do not buy the whole "pitch" thing.

I checked out that link thinking it was going to take me to some forum like reddit but it's from Spotify themselves which means these are their own claims and what they want us to think. Spotify has never and of course will never say they practice pay for playlisting but everyone knows they do.

How do songs that are not doing well on global Spotify continue to be on TTH but songs that do consistently well are not?. If we go by what Spotify claims then taehyung's song should have been added because he has a song that has been quite stable on Spotify global for a few months now.

The blackpink girls all got TTH playlisting upon release when they had not released any music prior. Simply put it depends on your label and how much they're willing to give to Spotify. I don't think they're being paid upfront either, and yes I do think it's easier to get put on tth without pay if you start gaining consistent streams in the top 50 if you go through through this "pitch process" But I think getting a good placement from the first day and also a song being allowed to stay on the playlist for months even when it's barely hanging on global Spotify chart requires some agreement between the label and Spotify and it involves monetary incentives. Maybe Spotify takes a cut of your earnings.

Spotify is a business, they have things put in place (like playlists and autoplay) to make more money off these artists because they know that everyone wants more people to discover their music, and with the current obsession with Spotify charts and everyone wanting to see those huge numbers next to their name, they do not mind utilizing playlisting and autoplay and Spotify isn't giving it to them for free and just because they made a "pitch".

Bts never got a good TTH placement before dynamite for a reason, and it also wasn't because it was an English song either. It was because bighit finally decided that this was the song they wanted to go all out for and they were finally aiming for a billboard number 1.

Cardi's label have seen her prior performances, she's had recent releases that were playlisted, not giving her playlisting for one song after the others bombed even with playlisting was expected.

When Beyonce's new song came out it was added at number 13, and it made sense because first of all Beyonce hasn't really been an artist to play these chart games and Renaissance was her first official comeback in the streaming era. She did great on Spotify with renaissance but not that exceptional that she would want to go all out with a number 1 placement with just her second foray in the streaming era, and then when her team saw the song doing great they took it to number 1. I don't think you would get added to number 1 on the day of release if you haven't done great on Spotify consistently before eg artists like Ariana, Taylor, the Weeknd, Adele but you could get a good placement if your label knows what needs to be done and if they don't then nothing happens.

#everything all boils down to what your label is willing to do and their agreement with Spotify
