What got you into Taekook? I honestly find it hard to believe that any of the members are in a relationship.

Hi anon! Well, I think you have to allow for a few possibilities first. You have to believe that Tae and Jk could be queer. You have to believe that queer artists get closeted. If you think both those things could be true, then... the rest is quite honestly right in front of you. People are prone to fall in love with persons they are in close proximity to. Best friends fall in love, co-workers fall in love, classmates fall in love. So ask yourself... would it indeed be impossible for Tae and Jk to have fallen in love. They obviously click in many ways, similar interests, their energy matches, same sense of humor, same antics,. They are both extremely atractive as well. So if you allow the possibility of them being queer, and if you can see how artists are being closeted 'till this day... to me it isn't a reach at all.

There's a few posts of mine I will link, that describe a bit of what I see... but scrolling through my blog might make my way of thinking clearer.

Only mentally unstable people would get mad at someone for giving updates about their fav and telling them he's doing fine at freakin military. I remember when jm was inactive when they got their Instagram and then later we found out he was covid+ nd a appendix surgery and how hobi used to give little updates here and there and how everyone was so happy nd used to wait if hobi gives any jm update. Even pjms were greatful to hobi but i for a fact know that jungkook solos aka jjks aka many closeted tkkrs would write same essays as above. *Sighh* my boy being too good for this fandom 80% filled with Tkkrs.

They were so happy when taehyung used to give us updates on what where he went with jungkook, and how he plays video games with jungkook, and how he's at jungkook's house, so if all these updates used to make us happy why they suddenly mad when jimin is doing the same? And here thing is literally about military....they be dragging jikook saying how taehyung used to mention jungkook on his promotions so is the military updates where one is saying the other is doing wrong??? Shouldn't they feel relieved that jungkook is doing great? If a hangout update can make us happy shouldn't a freakin doing great in military update should make us feel wayy more happy? Hi! This is an old ask lol sorry for the late reply

I think the ITS talk it’s something that got greatly greatly misunderstood, I think most of people focused on just one thing said by Jungkook (we became awkward) and completely dismissed what it was really about. This is mostly my point of view on it but to this day I think it’s safe to assume people just forgot to give context to the talk.

Taehyung wasn’t feeling well in 2020, he wrote Blue and Grey in that year (I really really need everyone to pay attention to the lyrics), he was having a hard time and all the members asked him to please reach out, to talk if anything was bothering him, and I think that’s what was the premises of the talk. It wasn’t to mend a bond, because there was nothing to mend, if you look from an objective point Taekook’s bond in that year (or even in that season tbh) you would notice there was literally nothing that would agree with the subs bh editors wrote such as “awkward duo”. I think Taehyung just wanted to have a drink with Jungkook, open up a little about his state (“I go on weverse to get assured I’m still loved”). Which is okay.

The not okay things were the subs put by bh editors, the twisting of the narratives (making the talk about something else), the fact that the talk was recreated by other groups. People thinking Jimin had to use an excuse to make Jungkook talk to Taehyung. I think narratives cloud people’s visions most of the time but the its talk must be the most misunderstood thing I’ve ever seen.

Now that mug and bowls are all from the same company: VBC Casa, an italian ceramics company in Italy.

They have two collections that use the same ridge patterns in the design the Fondaco and the Incanto collections, The latter collection (Incanto) is fully white with no off-set colours/distortions:

Whilst the former, has various colours (white, ivory, pink, slate grey & aquamarine) all with slight gold colour distortions on the ridges:

It's clear that the cutlery both JK and Tae's images come from the same collection, because of the shading on the ridges.

Now we know that JK promised to cook for Tae, the food in the photo is what Tae wanted JK to cook.

So does this mean it's simply JK's crockery? If that's the case, then does that mean Tae was at JK's place (either the Yongsan apartment or his new abode)?

But the counter where Tae's food is presented is the same as this photo, which was taken when Tae and JK's drunkenly chatted on Weverse and where I speculated that Tae was hiding the photographer because it might be someone we know:

So, if the meal was in Tae's apartment, is that Tae's crockery and if so what's it doing in JK's apartment?

If not, then what's JK's crockery doing in Tae's apartment?

Did JK just love Tae's crockery and decided to buy his own set?

Did they buy it together?

All these questions and more may never be answered, but boy...

So South Korea is not a safe country to be queer in. Especially for men during military service where they can be sentenced prison time when they get caught doing gay stuff. That is quite serious. Being brought up in SK that is the kind of upbringing most kids will get. They are being taught that being queer is unsafe. So if a person were to turn out queer and actually participate in same sexe relationships, they are most likely to do so in secret (there are always exceptions thankfully, but I’m talking generally here).

Even though Tae and Jk have experiences societies where this differs from SK, they are still South Koreans… they have still been brought up in a society that views being queer as wrong. They are also idols. Idols aren’t even allowed to date persons of the opposite sexe… no way they would have been permitted to someone from the same sexe.

Fanservice however is accepted in SK. It’s quite normal even. So what is more likely to be true? Those bold statements of Jikook being proof of their relationship or it being fanservice? Is their company more likely to release footage of an actual relationship or of fanservice? Things always go back to safety. The company needs their investment safe, so they wont take risks. The members want their future safe, so they wont take too many risks. And partners want their relationship safe… they will not take much more risk than they already are.

These days allow for more. BTS is on hiatus. They are already established and they will not be seen as much as they have always been. That is why I think Tae and Jk are being seen together more, as I elaborated about in my last ask.

As for the subtlety… this is what that looks like:

This first gif is actually Tae turning an intimate gesture (holding hands) into fanservice (linking arms). Now there are ofcourse times when stuff gets mixed up. Some real moments are being used as fanservice (either by Taekook themselves or by the company). I feel moments on stage (when they are full of adrenaline and there's less managers around to intervene) are times when they blur the boundaries.

The most telling subtle interactions are those when they catch themselves and consequently start to hold back. I have no to to search for the footage right now, but I'm sure we all know about those moments when they start to reach out or touch, but they catch themselves and hold back. It's a lot.

It's difficult matter to discuss because anti's will always call "fanservice" as we do with Jikook. And yes Tae and Jk also do fanservice together. It's brought us great moments. The difference between Tae and Jk doing fanservice and Jk and Jimin doing fanservice to me is that with Jimin Jk is not leaning into it totally, while with Tae he does.

do you ever consider that maybe we’re a little too caught up and stuck in the taekook bubble that we are over analyzing every tiny thing way too much and that taekooks interactions just aren’t actually as deep as we’re assuming? ofc they’re close but sometimes i double back and think i’m just too focused on their interactions so every tiny thing they do i am blowing out of proportion. especially when i watch content of the whole group, regular footage from award shows etc. i feel a bit ridiculous believing two of the members are actually in a relationship. ofc their relationship is not meant to be noticeable but rlly sometimes i think i am just having taekook tunnel vision. we see so little of their lives and interactions, i’m sure they have super deep and meaningful relationships w ppl that we don’t even remotely know about. sometimes i think we believe just bc tae and jk r the closest that we can know of, but there’s so much we don’t see

It took me a while to come around to the idea of taekook being real, anon, so when I finally did, I was pretty confident about it. It wasn't a random or split-second decision, and I certainly don't have a habit of thinking kpop ships are real. I've said this before, and I'll say it again. I dont believe in taekook because I want or need them to be real. I believe in them because that is the logical conclusion for me after everything we've seen from them. One or two 'suspicious' or 'interesting' moments might not be a big deal, but we're talking about consistent patterns of behaviour and multiple questionable moments year after year after year.

Do the things taekook do tend to get over-analysed? Yes. Does that automatically mean we're seeing something that isn't there? No. Of course we're biased, but that doesn't mean we're completely incapable of critical thinking. I never assume that everything they do is related to each other, nor do I view everything they do as proof that they're in a relationship.

People meet and fall in love with each other all the time in all different types of situations, anon. What's so ridiculous about it happening to taekook? Some people like to act like the chances of it happening are zero, and I don't understand why. I'm certain people have fallen in love in much stranger circumstances.

Yes, we see so little of their lives, but why are you assuming that what we don't see would show us that taekook are not together when it could just make it even more obvious? We probably see the bare minimum, and they're still suspicious enough to have people like us taking notice of them. BH have tried their hardest over the years to hide the true nature of taekook's relationship, yet so many people still clocked on to the way they would behave around each other and how their relationship seemed different to the rest of the members.

I would never blindly believe without questioning things, but nothing I have seen from taekook in 2023 has made me doubt their relationship. If anything, their antics last year has only solidified my belief 🤷‍♀️

Belly cough

what if there's a flu going around but not only do you get sick but you gain weight. 

So lets say:

cocky fatphobic gym rat Jungkook never gets sick and he’s seen the biggest, buffest of his gym pals fall bed ridden, literally as not only are they sneezing and coughing but they’re double their former size. 

He can’t, He just can’t end up like them. So the only reasonable thing to do is lock himself away until it blows over and he can go out again. Even at all his Hyung's and boyfriend persistence that he’s being unreasonable and needs to leave his apartment. They tell or well text him that the weight goes away once the cold does too.

He does even let his boyfriend sleep in the same room since he has had contact with the outside world. 

Taehyung rolls his eyes, “I'm not sick babe, you're being dramatic what's wrong with some pounds it all goes away anyways. Your gym bros are back to normal! I legit saw yugyeom today at the market and namjoon was with jin!” 

Jungkook just shakes his head from the closed door, “no it doesn't matter. I don't want to get fat tae!  And I don’t think we should be even living together rn since you’re out and going to take care of Jimin too!”

Poor Jimin fell victim to the belly cough (as scientist call it) two days ago. 

Jungkook may have winced at his words and especially after he hears sniffles from taehyung.

“ I can’t believe you. You rather stay inside than actually greet me just because you might get sick and gain some fucking weight! Sorry i care about my friends and freaking boyfriend that getting sick wont bother me! Never thought you were this shallow Jungkook!” He hears stomping and suddenly the door is being slammed closed.

He sighs, Taehyung wouldn't get it. He’ll call him in the morning and sort things out ...

it’s been four days since the fight and jk has tried calling but tae wont pick or respond to his messages. Jungkook slumps on his bed as he re reads the last message sent which was 

“i’m sorry come home”

nothing.

At that moment his tummy grumbles and well... he has nothing to eat. He ate the last supply of ramen a week ago and with jk being so afraid, taehyung was the one who would go out and get the groceries. 

Now he has no one and nothing to eat. His stomach dreads at what he has to do. Still he can’t being himself to step outside. So he scrapes whatever he has and orders in. 

It comes about a half hour later and Jungkook can't wait to eat. That is until he opens the door to a sneezing delivery boy. He sneezes right on top of the box and wipes his nose on his hand then hands the paper for jk to sign.

He’s def sick but not fat? He’s super skinny maybe even on the side of mal nourished. 

Still it’s unsanitary, gross , he should report but...  he’s really hungry.

It’s taehyung’s fifth day at yoongi’s, he would be at jimins but well his soulmate to cheer him up and yoongi offered his place as he stays with Hobi who still recovering. 

Maybe he overreacted at jk’s fear. He sighs knowing he should go back and makeup with his bf.

He opens the door to their supposed shared apartment, but he immedialty gasps as there are food and empty trays of it everywhere. 

“kookie?”

He hears a groan and a pained “in here” coming from the room jk locked himself in.

Taehyung slowly approaches and the sight makes him gasp again as on the bed instead of his fit gym rat bf there’s an obese maybe 400 lb man with jks face.

Immediatly he rushes to him grabbing his face asking a frantic “ what happened?”

Jk burps right in his face as his fat sausages fingered hands go to rub his belly “I think I’m sick”
