I’ve been both watching old and new anime’s lately. I re watched DRAMATICAL murder, Jubei-Chan: the ninja girl, secret of the lovely eyepatch and I’m watching Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation and Oshi no Ko.

Ive been thinking about making my own Doujinshi’s. I had one planned for Houseki no Kuni featuring my character Vivianite and Phos meeting for the first time. I also have some ideas for an Oshi no Ko doujin…. Not sure if I should do it or not though because the whole idea is that Ai reincarnates as her children’s child which is very gross but I think itd be a little funny….hoping that the twins won’t actually hook up in the manga o-o”

At the end of the doujin it would be a dream. Apart of me wants the author to go unhinged but at the same time, incest…… and bringing a child to it…

I would like to discuss my ethics with incest but this is not the place for that, I don’t need to get philosophical over something that should always be illegal no matter what.

Anyways expect more comics and mangas in the future to who ever is reading this. Please dont believe that what I write and draw express what I morally believe. I would be a very fucked up person and would probably be in jail if I did.

This reminded me but one anime I kind of want to recommend but feel the need to contextualize if Jubei-Chan and Jubei-Chan 2. Sort of spoilers ahead?

Jubei-Chan starts out as a sort of parody of the magical girl genre,. A great swordsman in ages past became a bit of a perv in later life and also had no heirs so he poured his skills into a magical eye patch and sent his servant off to find an heir with ah, large assets.

Centuries later the guy does in Jubei, who has moved to a small town with her ghost novelist father. She doesn't care for it though and they often bicker while also being assailed by ridiculous parody villains and dealing with guys who have crushes on Jubei and her trying to make time for the girls who welcomed her upon arriving in town.

Then as the series winds up to finish we find out Jubei dislikes the magic stuff heavily because the Swords woman persona is basically supplanting her identity and she dislikes it. And the main villain is literally doing the same thing to his own descendants and it briefly gets real serious. Its kind of messy but an interesting deconstruction of itself, but leans too hard on the parody for me.

Then there's the sequel, Jubei-Chan 2.

This one has tons of low key gay vibes between the nominal villain, the ancient swordsmen's daughter unfrozen and seeking the eye patch she sees as her heritage. There's some of the usual parody villains, but they all hover in the background save the one guy who tries to take it seriously but is always straining to be relevant. One of the former boy love interests get hilarious familiarity with the Worf Effect.

This series has much better animation, really digs into the psychological strain of Jubei's situation, her complicated and painful relationship with the villain and with the servant from last times daughter who is trying to complete her fathers work. As well as her strained relationship with her dad.

Its super good.

I looked it up and it looks really cool! I'm a sucker for samurai women, definitely gonna have to look into it

I don't know that I really release music anymore for any other reason than to catalog it on bandcamp. I've been so far removed in the last three years from everything that I don't really sell anything or play out anymore. I did post it on linkedin and one of my references liked it. They're an important connection contextually because of art, education and sociological theory. I applied for a job with the archdiocese recently where they asked for references, transcripts and the whole nine. So it's good to keep up the balance between professional and practice. But it's a hard road to navigate out here when everybody thinks they're instafamous. People are being hollywood out here in the cold and it's like trying to famous in Siberia. Unless you are some Siberian Yagyu Jubei it's not really worth the fight. That's a Juubee-chan 2: Siberia Yagyuu no Gyakushuu reference. The tone of that anime is all over the place but it's a sleeper hit for sure. It's going to be below zero out here through Thursday. I might work on some disco edits that I have sitting in ableton. Been playing a lot of slay the spire lately more than anything. Still want to get around to showing off my Elden Ring build in a youtube video eventually. But there isn't really a point to any of this other than I'm bored and locked down in some weird fog of war. Not that I'm not used to it. It's just getting hard to explain to myself how pathetic people can be trying to be seen. So much backstabbing you'd think this really was a ninja anime. So I'm trying to focus on other things regardless of how much shit people talk about what I'm trying to do. For the record that release is basically the soundtrack right now to my life up to a point. I'm sure they'll edit it out of the reality show of my life they're making due to licensing issues. Even if I was the main character I don't even think I'd appear in the credits. That's the secret of how batshit people are out here. It's a vibe for sure.
