"He's peeking! He's totally peeking!"
Jumin chuckled softly at the incredulous exclamation that escaped Cho Hee's lips. She immediately shoved her hands behind her back, hiding what she was holding from plain view. "V does that," he informed her simply. "Ever since he was a child. He hated to be surprised and would cheat to ensure nobody could have the upper hand over him. One time in high school he actually paid off a classmate to tell him the time and date of a surprise party."
A deep blush spread across Jihyun's face, the crimson of his cheeks visible between his fingers that were supposed to be covering his eyes. Sure enough, a small gap was visible right in front of his eyes, revealing that he had been attempting to see even after being duly instructed not to spoil the surprise. "I didn't pay her off," he protested. "You'll give Cho Hee the wrong idea. I simply... traded for some information."
"That's the same thing," Cho Hee said flatly.
"No, that makes it a business transaction. Like a barter."
"No, it's not!"
As Jihyun watched Cho Hee and Jumin debate the tenants of bribery versus corporate diplomacy, he couldn't help but feel a weight in his heart. When he'd left on his journey to help and heal Saeran, he had entrusted Cho Hee to Jumin until he returned. Without asking for any details, Jumin had agreed. He was always like that. Jumin respected his privacy even if he didn't agree with Jihyun's decisions, and he was the most loyal man that Jihyun had ever met. His friends were few, but he would stand by them until the bitter end.
He just hadn't expected the two of them to grow so close during that time. Initially, Jihyun was worried that Cho Hee might overwhelm Jumin. The ginger-haired woman was exceptionally charismatic and warm to everyone she met, but she had seemingly boundless energy and didn't always make the most sensible decisions. (She insisted that getting taken in a mysterious van to a cult in the mountains was a "one time occurrence" and a "rare lapse in judgment", but Jihyun had his doubts.)
But somehow, they'd become enamored with each other. He didn't know much of the details of how they'd bonded, but whenever he thought about his own absence during that time...
Two years was far more time than he had realized.
"I think I've had enough surprises for one lifetime," Jihyun spoke up, smiling sheepishly. "Besides, knowing you, you probably wrapped up whatever gift you brought, right Cho Hee?"
Now she was the one whose face was bursting into color. "It's the principle!" she huffed. With a resigned sigh, she added, "You're right, though. I did put it in a box." Shaking her head, she pulled the box in question out from behind her once again, and she placed it in front of Jihyun. "I can't argue with the birthday boy."
"Is that how that works?" Jumin piped up, leaning forward to get a look at the wrapping paper, which had dinosaurs on it.
"Oh, of course! You can't make people sad on their birthday. That's a huge social taboo."
Jihyun began to unwrap the present carefully, meticulously untying the blue ribbon that Cho Hee had used. Once he finally peeled back enough paper to open the box itself, he hesitated. Something felt weird about celebrating his birthday. When was the last time he'd been surrounded by loved ones on this day?
When he opened the box and pulled out the gift inside, Jihyun almost dropped it in his shock. He could feel his fingers trembling as he stared in awe at the cover of a scrapbook, adorned in tiny gems and lace embroidery, surrounding a picture of him, Jumin, and Cho Hee.
"Ta-dah!" Cho Hee clapped excitedly. "It's a photo album! We know you're the photographer here, but..." She giggled. "But there's something charming about the casual, candid photos taken in the spur of the moment, right? We didn't use fancy set ups or the nicest cameras. We just wanted to capture the pure love and joy we felt when we spend time with you." She came over to stand behind him and peer over his shoulder. "So... sorry in advance for the quality of some of these."
Jihyun began to flip through the pages carefully. A selfie of him and Cho Hee at one of Zen's musicals, with the ticket stub next to it. A photo of him and Jumin debating which wine to buy, with the caption "less whining, more wining!" A blurry photo of Cho Hee holding Elizabeth up to Jihyun, as the cat gave her old friend a couple of kisses to welcome him back.
Many of them were blurry. Several had questionable lighting. One or two had half a finger smudged into the shot.
But the love inside of them was more beautiful than the images themselves could hope to be.
"It's okay to not be perfect, you know?" Cho Hee murmured as Jihyun reached the last page. "That goes for both of you." She cast a quick glance at Jumin, who pointed a finger at his chest and mouthed "Me too?"
Jumin then cleared his throat and chimed in. "One thing I've learned from Cho Hee, and that I wish to impart to you, is that it's a better use of time to find unexpectedly perfect moments, than trying to create prepared perfect moments. Because sometimes, the mundane can be more rewarding than the most elaborate plan."
Jihyun was silent for another moment, pondering these words, pondering these pictures, pondering these memories. When was the last time he'd felt so loved?
"I can't imagine a moment more picture-perfect than this one."

Minsoo x Jumin 💜
I honestly think Jumin is a type of person who wouldn't label himself at all. But if he did - he gives off strong demisexual/demiromantic vibes to me. He needs to form a deep emotional connection and trust before even considering a romantic/sexual relationship with someone, regardless of their gender.
Other characters: 💛 💜 🧡 💗 ❤️ 💚 💙 🤍 🤎
Minsoo's story under the cut!
💜 Minsoo Cha ♡ he/him ♡ 25 yo ♡ gay
For context later on: Minsoo's parents divorced when he was very young, and his mother had full custody of him; father had no contact with him during his childhood, only paying child support.
Minsoo had his first homosexual realization at ripe age of 12, when his best friend came out as a lesbian to him ("wait so... if girls can like girls, then boys can like... boys? Like romantically???" And suddenly all fictional crushes made sense 💅).
Unfortunately his mom was FAR from accepting - she never allowed him to like "girly" things or grow his hair longer - so let's just say that when she found out a few years later, it didn't end well. He was sent out to live with his biological father. Thankfully, his dad, as well as stepmother and half siblings were pretty chill so it all turned out much better for him.
As for his relationships... ha. Haha. Poor dude has ZERO luck and his gaydar is completely broken. All his crushes were straight 💀 those who he talked to at least, because most of the time he was too shy to even approach anyone. And unintentionally looking like a mean rich kid didn't make him very approachable either.
As he got older he kinda gave up looking for relationship for the sake of his writing career (and poured his romantic frustrations into fanfictions).
When he met Jumin through the rfa app, he fell for him almost immediately. But knowing his past experiences, he assumed Jumin is straight and didn't consider any romantic possibility; still he wanted to be his friend and help him during hard time. Boy was he surprised when Jumin returned his feelings 😌💕

the girl with the hourglass
Tumblr media
"i’ll repeat these months over and over again if it means i’ll can be in your arms once more.”
— warning for “mystic messenger” and “when the stars align” spoilers !
Tumblr media
name — yeona cheong [ENG] — cheong yeona [KOR]
alias — ahri dae [ENG] — dae ahri [KOR]
age — twenty-four [24; ENG] — twenty-five [25; KOR]
gender identity — female — she/her/hers
occupation — yeona is an author, publishing a bestselling novel called ethereal blossom several months before the events of mystic messenger. she primarily focuses on fantasy-romance and is attempting to work on her second book through a bad case of writer’s block. instead of using her given name, yeona uses a pseudonym: ahri dae. until a route is set, she is referred to this throughout the messenger until she reveals it. seven is the only one who knows the truth and respects her wishes that he doesn't reveal her true name. — before the events of the game, yeona had a job at a bookstore called treasure arc in the underground mall connected to the subway station. she worked there for almost five years. however, due to declining sales from a lack of customers, it was forced to shut down and was replaced with a nail salon. — in the original run, yeona adopted the life as six-o-six (606): a secret agent who worked alongside seven. she left the life of yeona cheong and ahri dae behind when she did, leaving the whereabouts of both versions of herself behind. however, this didn’t last very long due to an unfortunate accident.
pets — su-won is yeona’s loyal companion. he’s a jindo about three years old, with all white fur and average size for a dog of his breed. she adopted him when he was just a puppy soon after moving into her apartment in seoul. she brings him almost everywhere she goes and, although subconsciously, uses him as a means of comfort and evading her loneliness.
routes — yoosung kim | yoosung and yeona’s routes are purely platonic and they see each other as really close friends by the end of it. being told that she reminded him so much of rika caught her off-guard and she was a bit uncomfortable with that, but continued to gently tell him that while she was flattered her thought so highly of her that she wasn’t his cousin. while she hasn’t gone through a similar experience, she is very empathetic with his grief and tries to help soothe him in whatever way she can. yeona is a sky alumna and takes a great interest in what yoosung plans on majoring in, telling him that she’d be happy to pass down her textbooks whenever they’re able to meet in person. she also tries to ease him into focusing on studying but never forces him, especially when he realizes why his grades have slipped and he’s created a gaming addiction. she reveals that she’s the one who wrote ethereal blossom and realizes that he’s serious when yoosung says that he’d love a signed copy, which she gives him at the party. he’s the one who introduces her to lolol, something she takes a quick interest in.
she’s very knowledgeable about gaming and took a bit of amusement in the fact he was so shocked that she knew different terminology. she promises that once she’s able to get a gaming computer that she would be happy to join the shooting star guild as long as he’s there to teach her the basics. throughout different routes, they become very close and he’s like her wingman. as well as very supportive if she reveals to him through private messages that she has feelings for someone. when he injures his eye, she’s incredibly worried over his well-being and feels guilt over being the indirect reason he received it in the first place. she holds him close, telling him to never do that again out of worry for him, but thanks him for being so brave and assisting seven. in their after endings, yeona attends his graduation and is incredibly proud of his journey academically and emotionally. she wholeheartedly supports his career as a veterinarian and works as his receptionist between writing her book as ahri dae.
— hyun ryu / zen | zen and yeona’s routes all have familial tones to them as they see one another as siblings rather than lovers. he’s like the big brother that she never had and he’s incredibly supportive of her like she is of his career as an actor and as a person. yeona is a massive fan of zen, as seen when she first joins the messenger and she’s shocked to see that she’s talking to the real zen. they have met prior to that by a quick accidental run-in with one another where he was sweet and apologized, telling her to be careful to not bump into any creeps before going on his way. puts some money off to the side to be able to see him perform in person and meet him, but never got the opportunity to do so without her anxiety getting involved. zen helps teach her better coping mechanisms for her anxiety instead of just bottling it up and outwardly gives her the support for her book that she never got from her family very often or at all. he helps her deal with social situations that she would have normally avoided and is right there every step of the way. she jokingly says that she has own little zen at home and sends a picture of su-won.
during the echo girl incident, yeona does whatever she can to help him despite their distance and constantly comments that she shouldn’t be touching him without his consent. she understands that he has a public image, but echo girl isn’t respecting his boundaries and that makes yeona a bit fired up, much to her embarrassment when someone takes note of it. she gives him compliments on his appearance, but also who he is as a person and thinks that his loyalty to the rfa is incredibly sweet. they do get into playful fights, but nothing serious or personal and jaehee has commented on how much they’re like siblings, especially during the party. while taking on a new job elsewhere, yeona still supports him as a widely successful actor in their after ending and spends her days off cheering him on (quietly, of course) during his practices and he’s the one who offers her ideas and helps her develop what is revealed to be her fourth book.
— jaehee kang | jaehee and yeona’s route varies between runs. sometimes they’re just close friends and others they’re lovers. yeona takes a clear interest in jaehee’s life not only because there’s another woman part of the group, but because she wants to learn more about her as she doesn’t often hear much. she respects any boundaries she makes but is happy to listen to anything she has to say, making it obvious that she’s listening and interested. she does admit that she was a bit hurt by her suspicions, but knew that the circumstances were odd and that it was natural that someone would be. at one point, yeona comments that she’s beautiful the way she is now and asks if she would ever grow it long again, and if she does that she has a few brands that she likes that keep her hair fluffy. she even asks that she is like her muse in an attempt to try to get closer to her fellow rfa member and to make some progress in the planning of her book. she expresses concern over jaehee’s amount of work and what she has to do in order to get it all done, often asking jumin to take it a bit easier on her because he could lose a valuable employee.
she often offers to have food sent to her home to make sure she eats (which she has done on one occasion, but didn’t want to be pushy by doing it again unless asked) and turns the tables by asking jaehee if she ate. they both get along over zen’s musicals and have long conversations that go into depth about the performance and the story itself, and yeona becomes excited to meet another fan. they also get along over having excessive amounts of animal fur stuck to their clothing. when jaehee opens up her cafe in her after ending, yeona works alongside her. she mentions that she’s horrible with cooking and asks if it was really fit to work alongside her, worried about affecting business and sales. she is comforted by jaehee’s words when she’s told that she wants her there with her and that they can handle anything that comes their way, but to focus on the present rather than the future. it’s mentioned that yeona is taking a hiatus from writing to focus on her new career and her implied romantic relationship.
— jumin han | almost all of jumin and yeona’s routes are as lovers, but others have them as very close friends, similarly to her route with yoosung. when they first meet, she’s a bit intimidated by him, but is polite and kind to him all the same and tries to be someone he can talk to. she thinks elizabeth is absolutely adorable and gushes over her, but tries to reign it in when zen’s around as to not make him uncomfortable. she sometimes shares pictures of su-won with him and refers to her companion as her “fur baby”. yeona still thinks that jumin should be a bit more aware of how much paperwork he gives to her and how that could affect her, such as getting to be too much and potentially losing not only a friend but a valuable employee. yeona often tries to relate to him, or at the very least understanding of his struggles and that there’s more to him than the calm corporate director than what’s seen at first glance. she’s patient and tolerant with him, doing whatever she can to not only understand him but help him. she tells him it’s okay to be emotional and that he isn’t all alone, that she’s here with him and isn’t going anywhere. when elizabeth escapes, she’s there to comfort him and expresses guilt for being the reason she got out in the first place; that if she didn’t come when she did, maybe elizabeth would still be safe at home.
she’s embarrassed of herself when they meet in person, commenting that she’s not as confident in person as she is in the messenger and hopes that doesn’t change the way he views her. jumin takes an interest in her novel, even if he doesn’t understand it, and she’s excited to be able to ramble on to someone, and he’s able to give her ideas and help her with her writer’s block in whatever way he can. in their after ending where they arrive home from their honeymoon, jumin asks her about her hourglass and comments that she seems to take it everywhere with her. yeona mentions that it’s a special gift from someone, but she can’t remember from who. she reveals that it has a unique power and he first thinks that she’s playing with him, but thinks otherwise at how serious she is. before it ends, she tells him that if it wasn’t for this, they wouldn’t be together and she’d reset as many times as it took to be with him again.
— saeyoung choi | seven and yeona’s route is always as lovers. while yeona’s memory of the runs are fragmented, seven’s are still intact. she comments that there is something familiar about him and his reply that they must have met before can be taken as him being playful, when it’s nothing but the truth. they relate over their use of alias’ (as she does with zen, but to a bigger extent) and she expresses curiosity of what his could be, but never tries to pry too much to make him uncomfortable. it ends up slipping during a phone call and she’s confused, apologizing for calling him that when she doesn’t think she knows anyone of that name before the conversation resumes. they get along very well and he is able to easily bring out the yeona cheong she’s always wanted to be, the two swapping inside jokes with one another and frequently calling and messaging one another. she does comment to him that if he ever has something going on and needs to talk, that he can talk to her, as well as su-won one day. by the seventh day, her memories of her and seven start to return and she’s confused by what is going on and the fact unknown not only broke in, but knew the rfa’s resident hacker. seven keeps his space from her to focus on his hacking and eventually finds her in the bathroom, breaking down with the hourglass in hand because she’s so confused and scared and upset with herself. she doesn’t know what’s going on and she wants to help but feels so useless being unable to help seven despite her efforts, as well as humiliated for being found covered in tears.
over the next couple of days, he tells her the truth about everything. himself, the resets, the hourglass. he confesses that he doesn’t believe he deserves happiness and seeing her happy with everyone else only proved that to him, on top of her as 606 dying because of his mistake, which she vehemently refutes and says that she would lay down her life if it meant keeping him safe. seven’s the one who gave her the hourglass during the original run, coded with freewill but bugged in the section where she’s meant to recall past routes. it’s only until she does his route again that he’s able to fix it. she also accompanies him to mint eye and misses the party, but tells them that it was an honor to be the coordinator before turning her phone off so she and saeyoung can focus on getting saeran back. in their after ending, they focus on helping saeran get out of mint eye and heal from the trauma he’s endured there and during his childhood. ahri dae goes silent and no one has heard any news of her as yeona focuses on the people who need her in the moment, ending with the two held to her and promising them a wonderful life that they both deserve.
trivia — yeona went to sky university for a major in literature emphasizing on creative writing — yeona’s hourglass gives her ability to reset the game from square one, although she has yet to learn how to control it until she finally returns to the messenger and romances seven. — yeona has a habit of knowing things she shouldn’t from past runs, such as quotes that were said to her or occurrences. she doesn’t remember everything, but specific situations may trigger brief memories. — yeona’s bangs that cover her left eye are kept that way in all cg’s, excluding some in seven’s route and in the after endings. in seven’s, many have it pushed out of the way with his hand while he holds her face, and the after endings with him and the other characters have it pulled behind her ear to reveal her other eye. — yeona’s awareness of being in a video game varies between routes. in the casual routes, she makes vague allusions to it that are brushed off as her being playful while the deep route has more blatant references. the rfa brushes it off as her picking it up from seven, but he’s the only one who understands it. — yeona’s story is heavily inspired by the reset theory. — when she first enters the messenger, her name is “606″ before being quickly changed to “ahri dae”. it is implied to be seven who changed it and that the former name remained from the previous run. — yeona’s pfp is a picture of su-won as a puppy.

A Valentine's Surprise
Pairing: Jumin Han x Reader (NSFW/18+ only/MDNI)
Warnings: cockwarming, rough sex, choking, hair pulling
AN: Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I was not planning on having anything ready for today, but somehow this happened in a sleep-deprived stupor and I'm weirdly happy with it??? Anyways, enjoy some good ol' Jumin smut!
Tumblr media
Every year for Valentine’s Day, you and Jumin always did something special and typically pretty over the top knowing how he likes to surprise you. However, this year with the holiday landing on a Monday, a day where you both had to work, it really put a damper on any sort of concrete plans. Sure, of course you would go out on the weekend to celebrate early, but you still wanted to surprise him on that day.
After living together for several years, you have come to be very familiar with how meticulous and organized Jumin is. Everything in his own space has its spot and very rarely strays from that location, especially in his home office. A computer with a keyboard in the middle, a notepad slightly to the right of it with pens lined up next to it, a small lamp on the left corner and a pillow for Elizabeth the Third to sit right in front of the lamp. Without fail, once he got home and greeted you, he would go to his office to finish up any last minute paperwork before allowing himself to relax with the love of his life. This information made it very easy to plan every step of your Valentine’s surprise to make sure it goes exactly how you pictured it in your head.
You managed to somehow get off work earlier than he did for once and beat him home, where you immediately rinsed off the grime of the day. Robe wrapped loosely around your still damp body, you made your way over to your giant shared walk-in closet and went straight for the outfit you had been planning for this moment. A short red dress that was form fitting on the top, but had a cute little frilly skirt on it that barely covered your ass. While you were slipping this on, you heard Elizabeth run from the bed in your room into the main area, a tell-tale sign that Jumin was home from work. He called out a quick greeting before he rushed into his office, just like you knew he would. Patting down the skirt and taking a deep breath as you felt butterflies begin to fill your stomach, as if you were dressing up for a first date and not for the man you have been married to for years now, you make your way quietly to where you knew he would be sitting.
He always looked somewhat otherworldly sitting in his large leather chair behind the dark wooden desk in his office. Sometimes looking at him in this setting made you realize the position he was in and how wild it was that you had the opportunity to meet someone like him, let alone fall in love with and end up marrying. It was hard to wrap your head around how the adorable man who falls asleep on the couch while reading books about vampire lore, with his cat curled up on his chest, is also someone who is incredibly high up in his field.
He looked up briefly, running his eyes down your form and gave you a smile before turning his eyes back to his computer, “you look beautiful my darling, did you dress up like that just for me?”
You walk closer to his desk, going around the right side and placing your hands on it so you could lean closer to him, “I did! Do you like it?” you ask as you do a little spin for him, careful to make sure the skirt didn’t go up.
“Of course I do, you always look breathtaking,” he says as he takes one of your hands and kisses it, bringing a light flush to your cheeks, “I’m so sorry but I had to finish up one last thing before I could greet you properly.”
“No need to apologize, I understand! Is it alright for me to keep you company while you do that?”
He pats his desk, signaling for you to sit, “I would love nothing more,” he answers with one of his smiles he only gives you, his eyes softening with the rest of his face while he looks at you with all of the adoration in the world.
You take a look at his desk to make sure everything was how it normally was. Pens on the right, next to his notepad, exactly like you knew they would be. Putting one hand down to pretend to lift yourself onto his desk, you feint your hand slipping and “accidentally” knock one of his pens onto the floor.
“Oh! I’m so sorry honey, let me pick that up,” you say as you turn your back to him and bend over from the waist to grab the pen on the ground, feeling the short skirt ride up as you did so. You knew he saw your surprise for him when you heard his breath catch and felt his strong hands grab you by the waist to pull you onto his lap, flush against his chest.
You could feel his lips brush against your ear as you hear his deep voice come out in a breathy whisper, “no panties huh?” his hand starts running from its place on your waist, down to your inner thigh, “is this what you had planned all along?”
As soon as you nodded your head in response, his fingers expertly spread your folds and started rubbing circles around your clit slowly. “You couldn’t even let me finish my work first? That’s how needy you are for me?”
You let out a whine in response, to which he stopped his movements, “use your words and answer me princess, I know you can.”
“Yes, yes! Please Jumin,” you can hear the desperation in your voice, and moan in relief as his fingers continue what they had started before.
“There we go, that’s a good girl,” his voice sends shivers down your spine as he picks up the pace. “I do need to finish what I was working on before you decided to interrupt me though, maybe you can help me out until I’m done?”
You gulp and nod your head, he removes his hand from the mess you were beginning to make and taps your leg gently to have you stand up. Confused, you turn your head to see him unzipping his slacks and sliding them and his underwear down just enough to where his cock sprung free. You could feel the heat rising in your body at the sight. One of his hands finds its way back around your waist to pull you gently back onto his lap, while the other is wrapped around the base of his member, guiding it to slip into your warm, wet walls until he was buried to the hilt. You let out a gasp as you felt the stretch of him entering you and resting right at your most sensitive spot.
“Now stay just like that for me until I’m done, if you’re good then I might give you what you really want,” he whispers as he kisses your neck, making you squirm ever so slightly.
He gets back to his work like normal, as if your pussy wasn’t stretched around him, flexing his cock every once in a while just to make you jump so he could scold you for not holding still while he was trying to work. You could feel yourself becoming a slick mess around him, trying to follow his command, while also being even more desperate for this man to fuck you properly already.
After what seems like forever, he finally logs off of his computer, barely giving you enough time to process that he was done before he stood from his chair without warning, forcing you to find your footing quickly. Bending you over his desk with a hand at the small of your back to keep you down, he leans forward, chest pushing down against your back, pressing you further onto the desk as he gets closer to your ear.
“You were so good for me my love, now let me give you your reward,” he says, standing back upright, pulling himself from your wet heat before slamming back in, making your body lunge forward from the impact.
You can feel moans being pulled from your body and echoing throughout the room with every thrust of his hips against yours, each time his dick hitting the deepest parts of you, knowing exactly how to make you feel good. His hand runs up through your hair, grabbing it at the base and using it to pull you up, causing your back to arch as he leans your head against his chest, moving his other hand to wrap around your throat and choke you lightly as he uses it as leverage to quicken his pace.
The constant pounding of that spot deep inside you along with the slight lightheadedness that came from his hand around your neck had you hurtling towards your finish faster than you thought was possible. With a scream, you plunge over the edge, your pussy throbbing and pulsing around him, practically milking his cock as he fucks you through your orgasm. With how wet and tight you were, he was soon to follow, hips stuttering and filling you to the brim as he came deep inside you with a deep groan of his own.
He pulls his softening cock from your walls and turns you around to face him, pulling you into a deep, heated kiss, holding you flush against him.
You pull away, resting your forehead against his, “Happy Valentine’s Day Jumin,” you say, letting out a soft giggle.
“Happy Valentine’s Day my love,” he smiles back at you before moving to sweep you up into a bridal carry, kicking his pants off from around his ankles. His soft smile turns into a smirk as he goes to walk you both towards the bedroom, “but don’t think I’m done with you just yet.”

CMC TIME! My cmc aka Eclipse Pink adopting adopting a child with Jumin 😢💕💕 Imagine a punk dad
THIS! This is just down right adorable. One dad, Jumin, being the classy suit kind of guy while the other always leaves the house rather decked out with chains, platformed boots, leather jackets, and so much more. The kid will definitely feel safe to experiment fashion wise as the grow up, and I doubt Jumin’s bank account will mind too much. As a smaller toddler, picture them walking up to Jumin to ask to wear a suit to look like they too own C&R, but the next day they’re asking Eclipse if they can try on something spiky! Or maybe, you’ll get a kid who wants to mix and match to resemble both dads. Who ever said chains and spiked bracelets don’t go with a pinstriped suit? The kid may or may not feel the need to try out hair dye at some point too, which with once again, they’ll be supported. As Jumin would rather settle for happiness, love and the ability to open up more than anything, which all he found with Eclipse, whatever the media may think would be secondary, within logic and reasons.
And Eclipse and Jumin? Power couple 100%. No paparazzi please.

Thank you for the tag, lovely @drosselmeyerwrites ^^ edit: thank you too @mythicamagic ^^
Here are 6 sentences from my wips 💕
Morax's hand slowly ran through the long strands of black hair, amazed at the way the soft locks slipped past his fingers, "Man or dragon, you are mine." (Shatter Euphonies, Genshin Impact, ReZhong)
Leaning over the guardrail, Zen rested his chin on his palm and stared out at the ocean. (untitled, Mystic Messenger, Zen x MC)
"Jumin Han," she jutted her chin in the direction of the door, "the Business world's starling child..." (Chasing Stars, Mystic Messenger, Jumin x CMC Emrys)
"Well this is a fun icebreaker, don't you think?" Kaeya practically purred, spinning his sword around with deft precision. "That stone you can summon is quite handy." (Blade Song, Genshin Impact, Zhongli x Kaeya)
MC watched as Zen paced impatiently up and down the lawn, the shade from the oak tree dancing along his worried brow. (untitled, Mystic Messenger, Zen x MC)
It had been three days since Kagome first fell unconscious, and just now woke up from the toll of unchanneled surge of demonic energy. (Noise of Rain - Ch 10, Inuyasha, SessKag)
I'll tag these lovely writers :> (no pressure to join tho, only if you want 💜)

CHAPTER 1 / 12 . . . spending days in front of a document as white as snow was what made up most of her life, but she had a life outside of the apartment considered her safe space. unfortunately, it never got easier than the last time she stepped out of it.
— themes: slight self-deprecation, minor explicit language, spoiler-free.
Tumblr media
Yeona didn’t know how long she had been staring at this single document for, but by the way she was gradually descending the waterfall of her playlist, it was a while.
The cursor blinked in a slow and consistent rhythm at the very top of the digital page as it patiently awaited for the text to start rolling along. Tabs were lined across the top of the screen and had different sites pulled up for each, contrasting to the name of the page she was on. How to Start the First Chapter of Your Novel; 100 Themes in Literature; What to Include in Chapter 1; Tips to Starting a Novel; MeTube; Untitled Document. She had come to get used to the tapping of the vibrant keys of her new keyboard some time ago, but they never disturbed her whenever she worked and quickly became a sound she took comfort in. It could be obnoxious when the clicking wasn’t eventually drowned out by her own thoughts and whatever music poured from speakers of her Kitty Kraken headset, but she rarely considered it such anymore. But at the moment, she didn’t care how loud the mechanical keyboard was and wished that it would make any sound at all. She didn’t care how many tabs she had opened or if it slowed down her aging laptop a bit more than usual. She didn’t care what song was playing, even the ones that managed to slip into the randomized mix of songs she listened to before and usually disturbed her concentration. Yeona would do anything if it meant finally being able to find the proper words to put down that captured the fantasy she wanted to bring to life that sat heavy on her mind and tongue.
Now, she was trapped in a stillness she was helpless against by a force that wasn’t her own. Her fingers felt stiff from being motionless for so long and just as useless from doing absolutely nothing but weakly shaking the wireless mouse whenever the monitor dimmed. There was something pretty about the sight of a fresh new document, like a blanket of snow across a once grassy field. That was a week ago and Yeona was pretty sick and tired of seeing nothing new on it despite the hours she spent sitting in front of a bright screen after a long day of work. It was there, the drive to work and to put something down. She wanted groundbreaking fantasy and romance that induced cavities that would make dentists tremble but leave her readers kicking their feet and giggling like she did whenever she indulged in a sweet and enthralling love story. All of her attempts at trying bore no fruit, and what finally came out was soon erased when she became unhappy with it and realized it wasn’t what she envisioned. She was ready to do this, to work and pour her all into this as she had before through plans, rough drafts, editing, revisions, and then the final draft. But no matter how many times she tried to find the perfect starting point for her protagonist, her world, her story as a whole, her mind was empty and refused to cooperate like a fussy child. She did this exact same thing before and she churned out a novel, so what was stopping her now?
After closing out all of the tabs but the one she was on already, Yeona regretfully drew her fingers away from where they were positioned on the keys and dropped her hands into her lap in forfeit. Keep going, a small voice whispered to her in the back of her mind. Just a few more minutes. That was a trap and she knew fully well that she would only be wasting more time if she listened to the little devil on her shoulder. She leaned back in her office chair that squealed under her weight and closed her eyes that were desperate to finally get a break and thankful for one, pulling off her headphones and patted around for the stand that she slipped them back onto. What was stopping her? She was trying, she really was, so why? What was wrong with her? Why couldn’t she do this? A gentle burn appeared in the corner of her eyes, a sensation unfortunately a bit too familiar and one she was quick to identify, and she pulled her sleeves over her fingers seconds after to wipe at her face. The fabric of her sweater was rough against her skin, but she didn’t mind too much or think about it for long. She forced herself to breathe in and out for a few seconds as she fanned herself with her opposite hand before her tears could get any worse. She was too emotional for her own good, and getting so frustrated over something was just...She didn’t know what to call it. She called herself a writer and used extensive language to convey the emotions of her characters and descriptions of her settings, but couldn’t even put a name to what she felt. Now that was embarrassing.
Between her sniffles, nails clacked against the hardwood floor and grew closer and closer until she could feel a wet nose nudge her arm from beneath the arm rest. Yeona cracked one eye open as she sluggishly turned her head to face the source of it and, finally, a smile rose to her face. Dark eyes stared up at her with perked ears and a long, pink tongue that hung out from between sharp teeth. She reached over and scratched the snowy fur on his chin between fixing the bandana around his neck and while he seemed happy to accept the small dose of affection, he refused to look away from her. He stared for a few moments longer before trotting away with his tail excitedly wagging left and right in the air. Probably off to play, she figured and was about to slump back into her chair and thoughts until the clattering returned. Between his lips was one of his many toys, a gaudy purple and pink rabbit full of gaps in its cloth from his teeth. Cotton poked out from between them and it would only be a matter of time that they grew in size and the floor was covered in the stuffing; it didn’t help that she whipped the thing around so violently that it was a miracle that its head didn’t come off already. But now, her companion didn’t play with it despite how he bit down on it in a unique squeeze. He nosed her palm and released it, reeling his head back and looking up at her in what she assumed was supposed to be him studying her expression and reaction.
“Hey, bubba,” Yeona quietly greeted after one more wipe to her face. She pushed away from her desk and turned her chair to face her companion. She opened her arms to him and he happily stood on his back paws on the floor and the front on her thighs. “Is this for me? What a good boy.”
Su-won didn’t need to speak for her to know exactly what he meant. “What’s wrong, Mom? Why are you sad?”
Yeona faltered and tightened her grip on the ragged toy, using her thumb to push some of the stuffing back inside but didn’t give it much thought otherwise. No more tears, no more tears, no more tears, the young woman silently repeated again and again. She blinked away the wetness that so rudely dared to try and make an unwelcome reappearance and dragged the back of her hand across her cheeks to wipe away whatever she couldn’t hold back. She wrapped her arms around the Jindo and scratched along his sides with dull nails and damp fingers, ruffling the fur she brushed out before she sat down, whenever that was. The side of Su-won’s head rested against her cheek and he shifted on his paws a couple times, but he didn’t move away. Good boy, she muttered a few times over and gazed into the wall with blur vision that slowly cleared. They stayed like that for, well, she didn’t know how long, but her canine companion let her rest her head on him and hugs between the uncomfortably wet kisses along her face that left trails of saliva just as she thought she had dried herself off. The licks to her lips had her retching and, while grateful that her mouth wasn’t open, used her fingers to wipe it off before she got another mouthful of dog. Su-won had no problem in trying again when she faced him and she turned her head at the last minute with her eyes squeezed shut as a long tongue swiped across her cheek.
The young woman grinned before bursting into bright laughter, took the dog’s head in both of her hands after dropping the toy to the floor with a tiny thump, and pressed a kiss of her own to the space between his brows. In seconds the speed of his tail increased until it was nearly a white blur flying left and right in adorable excitement. She continued to pat him and play between trying to dodge the licks to her face until a quiet ding caught her attention. Jealous of having the attention taken away from him, Su-won nudged one of her hands and she scratched at his back while the other reached over for the source of the chime. Yeona patted around her desk until she pulled her phone over from where it sat face down a good distance away from her computer setup, flipped it and checked over the screen that came to life. She could barely see her own wallpaper over the flood of notifications that gathered and went ignored over the sound of her music flooding through her headphones. She swiped away the social media alerts, in-game offers, MeTube premiere reminders she wasn’t interested in and left the ones from her favorite creators so she could check out later, going through them one by one until she reached the last few. Her thumb hovered over one of them before she tapped on it, using her thumb to bypass inserting her PIN and awaited for the app to load, all while watching the curved arrow load the same way she would watch her popcorn in the microwave. First going through a few screens, she finally made it to her orders and tapped on one of the few. Your package has been delivered.
At first, Yeona beamed in excitement. It was finally here and she was so relieved she didn’t have to deal with talking to anyone over some screwup like it being delivered to the wrong place or it arrived broken. She paused for just a moment and quickly brushed that thought out of her mind when she felt her heart drop in her chest and a cold sweat breeze over her. She glanced over to the empty stand across from the couch, the little trinkets and figures that usually decorated it clumped off to the side as they had been for the past few weeks. Finally, she could put them back into place and redecorate! But then it hit her: if it wasn’t at her door, it would be in the mail room. Who would be down there? Her neighbors were perfectly fine, if not a bit too chatty for her tastes, aside from the few bad apples that she actively tried to avoid, but if she walked fast enough she could avoid them all before they got back from work! What if someone stopped her to talk? She had no idea what they would say and that’s what made the situation worse, that she couldn’t plan for whatever came out of their mouth. She just knew she would say something stupid and make an idiot out of herself, followed by her excusing herself with a bright red face, beat herself up over it like she did every time she entered and left as she walked down the hall, and return to her room or be on her way out the door completely humiliated with herself.
It took her a few seconds to convince herself to move from her seat until she finally did, where she raised herself onto her feet and gently nudged Su-won off. He returned to all fours and stared up at her in confusion with his head tipped to the side. She could hear his nails against the floor following behind her out of sync with her own footsteps, but she didn’t look back at him. Her throat felt like it was closing in on her the closer she got to it, like there was some kind of monster behind it like in the most recent anime she popped on. Something looming, birthed from the realm of the unknown, a creature of pure darkness itself with razor claws that was waiting for her to foolishly open the door for it and punish her for even the most simple of mistakes! Yeona took a few deep breaths—monsters like that don’t exist in real life, she told herself—until she stood in front of the closed entryway where she didn’t hear so much as a peep or see the shadows of feet beneath it but hesitated anyway. Three, two, one…She slowly turned the doorknob and pulled it open as much as the small chain lock forced into place would allow her to, acutely aware of anyone passing by and it was actual luck that no one was there. She peered through the gap left and right and then downwards. Nothing. No people. No packages.
“Shit,” Yeona whispered. She picked her head up to look back at the Jindo who curiously watched her and glanced at the bedazzled collar off to the side. “Wanna go for a walk, Su-won?”
Her sneakers thumped against the tiled floor of the quiet and desolate hallway in quick steps, her head moving left and right to make sure there wasn’t anyone around her. It wouldn’t have been the first time she was caught lost in thoughts and someone was trying to talk to her without her even realizing it. Su-Won was easily able to keep up with her without so much as trying, the tags hanging from his glittery collar beneath the green cloth clinking against one another. The retractable leash was the only thing that kept the two of them so close (she was sure he would have gone running to explore if she let him off) and it took only a couple gentle but firm tugs for him to get back on track whenever he got distracted. With her free hand, she kept her jacket wrapped tight around her and held it in place to try and conceal that she still was, in fact, in her comfortable pajamas rather than something casual meant for outings. Yeona didn’t plan on leaving the building unless she had to, and now wasn’t one of those times so she didn’t see a point in changing when she was just going to return directly afterwards. She did maintain her daily hygiene, she wasn’t a heathen. That didn’t stop her from worrying about her neighbors that she knew would give her a nasty and critical look if they saw her like this. Fortunately they were very few, the rest returning home so late she wouldn’t bump into them at all or wouldn’t care, but the thought of bumping into them out of happenstance had her cringing.
Yeona wouldn’t call herself lazy, but she was so excited to return to her couch. Her absurd amount of fluffy blankets that she planned on cuddling into like a cocoon were calling her name, but they would have to wait. She could already taste the sweet tea sitting in her refrigerator and smell tonight’s dinner on her tongue. Nothing was better than getting comfy and watching a bit of television while she ate, or even having it on in the background while she cooked. It was a little geeky, but she was ecstatic to set up the new television, too. She had no clue why, she just liked plugging everything in and exploring how all of these new buttons worked and what the selection of inputs did. Apparently it had Metflix, MeTube, and all other streaming services on it! Of course, she had to pay for them, but the applications being on there alongside cable (that she didn’t use ever) was something new her old set didn’t have. God, she could only imagine how nice it would be to watch one of her favorite dramas or aeni on a bigger screen. A smile crossed her face just imagining it. She could already hear Sun-young begging to come over for a sleepover night on one of their days off to check it out, her requests unrelenting until she gave in and gave her the address. She couldn’t wait to see her someplace out of work, even if it was just to watch a movie they ended up not liking. And she’d finally be able to meet Su-won! Yeona made a note to warn her about how affectionate he could be, and actually question her to make sure she was okay with dogs and not just playing around with her. She could never figure out if her friend was being serious or joking.
Just as the excitement was catching up to her and overpowered her anxiety, her eyes locked onto someone’s back and she slowed to a stop. Su-won didn’t share her sudden jitters and instead became rather excited, almost running over to them if it wasn’t for her shortening the leash he was hooked onto. One wrinkly hand was wrapped around the railing to the descending staircase as tight as possible, the other clutching onto a thin cane. She didn’t like the way her legs trembled or how cautious she seemed to be on stairs she had taken before and hated the pessimistic thoughts that came to mind despite her better judgment knowing better. If that wasn’t a bad omen, she didn't know what was. She was old, her body was giving out, but what if there was something else wrong? Oh God, if she had to call an ambulance, she would but what if she said something wrong and the dispatcher went to the wrong place or didn’t make it in time?! Relax, Yo, it’s fine. Everything’s fine. Quite freaking yourself out and focus on her, she needs your help. Yeona took a deep breath and approached the elderly woman, stepping around her so she wouldn’t startle her and cause her to slip and fall. She kept her companion on her other side as best as possible, but he craned his head and body as close as he could to the old woman doing her best to get down. It was honestly really sad to watch and she reached out just in case, but didn’t touch her.
“Um, Mrs. Hanuel,” Yeona spoke up, causing the woman’s head to raise and look towards her. “Do you need some help?”
Hanuel smiled and shakily took the hand offered out to her. “Aren’t you sweet? It must be my luck that someone came to help. It’s been getting harder to get up and down these days, and the railing’s always been so unsteady.”
She patiently waited for Hanuel to reach her next step before moving to the next and kept at it again and again. The only one who seemed impatient was Su-won and he was just whining from the lack of attention on him. “If you, um, if you need someone to come over and help, you can always call me. Do you have my number? I can write it down for you! I don’t have paper though-”
The elderly woman chuckled and patted the arm she held onto. “I’ll be alright, Miss Yeona, but thank you. Now where are you off to?”
Yeona’s mind blanked for a second and she could only imagine how stupid she looked. “Oh! Um-” She awkwardly laughed, “Just grabbing a package. And you, Mrs. Hanuel?”
“My son and I are going to get some dinner together. He’s been so busy with work and my grandson that I don’t see him very much anymore,” Hanuel said warmly, but Yeona noticed the underlying sadness in her tone and expression. “Have I shown you any pictures of Beom-seok before?”
The brunette continued to smile as she nodded with a soft hum, as she had every time she was asked this question. Not because she was lying to get out of being shown, but because she had seen the picture of the man with alluringly green eyes and bluish hair so many times already. Hanuel went through her purse with one hand to grab that very item as she spoke despite the answer given. He was handsome, she could give him that, and he no doubt got his features from his mother (he was like a carbon copy of her!), but Yeona could only see his face so many times before she started seeing him in her dreams. That was pretty awkward considering he apparently had a wife and kid as it was. If her artistic skills were good enough that she could draw something better than a stick figure then she was sure she could have painted a perfect replica from memory alone. But she wasn’t going to say anything and upset her, that wasn’t the right thing to do. She seemed so passionate about her family and she couldn’t just kill that when she was the exact same way about her own interests. Yeona wondered when the last time she spoke to someone in person rather than over the phone and what conversations she remembered having. Not very many, she surmised dejectedly but didn’t think about it for long when Hanuel pulled the wrinkled photograph out and showed it to her. Yeona “oohed” and “ahhed” and bobbed her head and didn’t miss the pride that swept across her face.
Finally, they made it to the bottom of the stairs and stopped in front of the gate between the front entrance and the stairway that led up to the various floors of the apartment complex. The hand wrapped around her arm slowly moved away until it was right at the side of its owner who took patient steps towards the front door that permitted beams of sunlight to be cast through its window. Off to the side were a bunch of mailboxes built into the wall and each were labeled with a number taped against it, her own close to the top but well-hidden between other numbers identical to it in text format alone. Below it and stacked neatly on the table where brochures for restaurants and other events usually went were a few boxes with company logos and address tags on them, and the biggest one there was calling her name. Su-won’s sharp whines and incessant tugs against his leash snapped her out of her thoughts, but she didn’t let him get very far knowing that he would run off to play wherever his curiosity brought him. That included the middle of the road. She was happy to cast those thoughts away before she could wretch or cry from such dark imagery. Yeona watched Hanuel’s back as she wandered from her side and towards the entryway, words heavy on her lips that could use a good bit of balm spread across them. As the elderly woman shifted her purse over her shoulder, she twisted the knob and opened the door to allow the view of the outside to pour in-
“Do you need help getting to your car?” Yeona blurted out. Aw fuck. “Only if you want it, of course!”
Hanuel shook her head, albeit grateful. “Thank you, Miss Yeona, but I think I can make it. These legs of mine aren’t a complete goner.”
“I really…” With a soft click, the door shut behind the elderly woman and left her and Su-won alone. “...don’t mind.”
Yeona stared at the door for a few seconds and noted the small chips of its paint and the various papers taped onto it that she had read a million times over but never finished before someone walked in and she got her face bashed because she forgot it was a door and people walk through them. She loosened the leash in favor of wandering to the window and gazing through it. Citizens and tourists alike wandered left and right down the street without so much as glancing over to the woman who would merge with them. It was impossible to tell who was who or where they were going, including the men and women in business suits who passed by one another without so much as a thought or glance their way. Were they on their way to work for a third shift? Or were they on their way home and taking a path that she usually missed when she was inside or in a shift of her own? Yeona couldn’t help but gaze from person to person when not a single soul of the passing mass of people stopped, but it didn’t deter her and her efforts. It was profound. This was her perspective, was it not? The world felt so small around her, so focused on what she alone did, said, believed, and yet everyone around her would fade into the routine of their own lives without her ever knowing what that routine was, who they would encounter, what would happen. A realization like that as a main theme would be interesting, Yeona thought and visualized the haunting sight of her document.
When a bright glare cast over her vision, she blinked a few times and raised her hand up to block it until it went away. Sitting against the curb was an unfamiliar blue car (she could never pick out its model, she was downright awful with vehicles outside of “car”, “bike”, and “truck”)—small, but big enough to comfortably fit a few people inside of it—with an unsettlingly familiar face in the driver’s seat. For only a moment did his attention sit on who she realized was a toddler in the back seat before it wandered to the elderly woman wandering through the crowd once it thinned enough for her to pass without being trampled (I should have gone with her, Yeona thought bitterly). He scrambled from his seat and out of his car to open the door for his mother where nicely blushed navy hair seemed to gleam in the sunlight. Oh god, she really did see that picture a few too many times. She rubbed her eyes and peered around the window curtain that she tried to use as a means to hide herself, but felt more silly than inconspicuous. No wait, it was really him. She didn’t think she had ever seen eyes that brilliantly green before; they didn’t seem real. But they were so kind and genuine with nothing but care and worry for his mother who he helped into her seat, pointing something out to her about the buckle before shutting the door behind her and moving back to his space.
Yeona moved away from the window and let the smooth curtain fall back into place when the car merged with the sea of vehicles. For a moment and a moment only did she wonder if she would ever have to do that for her own mother or father when their health declined. Probably, it wouldn’t be any surprise. She’d be happy to, as well, especially after everything they’ve done to raise her to the spot she was in now. The way Hanuel gazed at Beom-seok with all of the pride in the world had her wondering if her own parents would ever look at her that way, too. She didn’t know the last time they did, when anyone did. It was always scorn, expectancy, disappointment; she had come to get used to it and expect it, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt as much as the last. At least Su-won, who she looked down to and gave an apologetic rub along his back, could when she offered him a treat but she didn’t know how similar that would be to the approval of another person. The young woman wandered to the table of deliveries off to the side and carefully moved the ones on top against the wall to get to her own, where she shuffled it to the edge to pick it up easier. After she moved the handle of the leash into a few of her fingers and curled the others around the massive box of her package, she raised it up and leaned it against her bicep and shoulder and held onto it. Cerulean eyes wandered up the stairs and, as she stared up at the winding staircase, she already desired a nap.
The television only came with a couple of wires: one an extra HDMI cord and the other for the power outlet. It was simple enough that she didn’t need to consult the comically thick booklet that came with it for help and that she could find the proper inputs fairly easily. There were only two and one was already plugged into the wall behind the stand supporting her most recent investment and her. And yet, Yeona somehow wound up with several wires dangling between her and the end table she pulled out to hold everything. A few of her many figurines stood around the entanglement of cords that were connected to the powered off gaming devices, their tiny and painted eyes boring into her or whoever was beside them. One hand clutched the top of the television she just managed to get onto the freakishly tall stand as the other tried to find the proper port she was looking for. If it was on the other side, she was going to cry. She sat on her knees at the edge while her feet dangled and she knew for a fact if she crouched or stood, she’d go down and take the device with her. God, that was a nightmare. Every time she accidentally jolted the screen she would still and grip onto it before releasing it once she was sure that it wouldn’t fall. Yeona hummed and twisted the HDMI cable around her fingers as she looked around, trying out what she both could and couldn’t see until it smoothly and effortlessly slipped into place.
She thought nothing of the aggressive growls and loud thumping against the furniture around her when she knew fully well it was just Su-won playing. A blur of white flew left and right across the apartment in synchronization of the clicking and clacking of nails, followed by growls as a fluffy head whipped a plush toy back and forth with an aggressiveness he was too friendly to show to an actual person or animal. She snorted every now and again and grinned, but didn’t watch him for more than a few seconds to make sure he didn’t get into something he wasn’t supposed to. It was when the table jolted and the wires and television shook that she immediately stilled and her breath caught in her throat. She could have sworn her heart stopped and that her blood ran cold like a fresh cup of water early in the morning. She desperately clutched onto the massive device and looked away from it to watch as Su-won jumped onto one of his bigger toys, using his paws to pin it down against the floor and bite into it. His tail joyously wagged until it, too, became similar to a blur and he had not a single clue that he almost put his owner into cardiac arrest on the spot. Like a giant weight pulled from her shoulders, Yeona bowed her head and pressed it to the side of the television in relief and released the breath she held captive without so much as realizing it. Her hand made a loud slap against the skin above her breast and allowed her to feel the weak pulsations of the erratic beat of the organ beneath her skin and the cloth of her shirt.
Yeona was especially careful this time around as she slowly shuffled and scooted her way off of the stand until her feet hit the hardwood floor and she slipped her slippers back on from where they fell while she was working. Her companion looked up to her with nothing but complete innocence and curiosity while he laid on the floor with his toy. The stuffed bear had seen better days being squished between a set of teeth that would have intimidated her if she knew he would never use them against another person. Fortunately for her it was free of any punctures and she wouldn’t have to pick up a trail of puffy clouds before she scared herself early in the morning thinking it was some kind of rodent. Its little bow was missing, but it was like him to pull something off and lose it in record time. His ears sat upright and straight as he watched her plop herself down on the floor, collect the figurines and other trinkets she set on the ottoman, and gather them into her arms where she proceeded to set them around the stand she was once on. She effortlessly moved them around until she found a good spot for them that was neither too close to the edge but also not too far away from the television. That was followed by her finding the perfect place for her gaming device that she had to move a little bit to the left, back to the right just a bit, realize that that was too far so back to the left just a smidge and then back before she plugged it into the outlet with the other.
She pushed the wires behind the stand so they were out of the way and raised to her feet, checking over her work with a content smile when the red button came to life. Yeona settled down on the couch where she wrapped herself in a few layers of the soft throw blankets she was given as a housewarming gift some years back. Her hand poked out for a moment to grab the new remote (thankfully it came with batteries and she had none, but she really didn’t want to go back out to grab a pack) and turn the television on, doing the same for her phone that she dropped into her lap to check and use afterwards. When the ginormous screen lit up with an image of the logo in the center and gave her various picture options, a strange sort of pride overcame her and had her grinning like an idiot. Anyone could have done this without so much as trying, but the thought of being able to carry and set it up by herself made her feel strangely nice. Powerful, even! She did this with no help despite her twig-like arms being so close to snapping when they shook in a silent plea for a break from the weight they weren’t used to carrying. She sunk down into the couch and made room for Su-won who jumped up and laid down with his toy between his paws. Yeona waited for Metflix to load once she went through all of the settings and customization options given to her and turned on her phone, going through her various apps until she reached the document once displayed on her laptop.
It was still as empty as it was before. She didn’t know what she expected by opening it back up. A sudden burst of inspiration? Words to already be there? A slew of ideas to miraculously appear out of thin air? Maybe a little bit. She figured her short stroll downstairs would’ve helped and she knew she was onto something when it came to the ideas of perspective by the heaviness on her mind and refusal to forget about it. But then why was she still frozen in her spot whenever she was about to type? Why did those very words and ideas just vanish instantly like some kind of horrible tease? It was so frustrating. It was torture. She tapped the arrows of her remote a few times until she picked something, but she knew she wasn’t as invested in it and just put it on for the sake of having background noise she didn’t have to change every few minutes. At least it would be entertaining, and maybe the transformation sequences would provide some help. But deep down she knew that wouldn’t be the case. Call it pessimistic, call her awful for assuming the worst and or jumping to conclusions, but she stuck with it as much as she hated it. How was a scene she had seen time and time again going to help when literally everything else she did before bore no fruit? Yeona glanced down past her phone to her palm where Su-won was nudging her fingers, dark eyes staring up at her from where his head rested on the cushions. As she rested her head on his, Yeona thought one thing:
This sucks.

OC Intro!
I have many OCs...like, a lot. But in this post I’ll talk about the main ones :) Each of these OCs have their own main fic with their own respective partners (except Anneliese, Kara, Siobhan and Imogen), but if I write about them outside of that, I’m shipping them with Canon characters (mostly Mystic Messenger and most recently, Mr. Love).
*Ahem*
So.
Without further ado, allow me introduce my main OCs and ships!
Mystic Messenger:
Hyun Ryu (Zen) x Skye Light
Yoosung Kim x Kaia Müeller
Jaehee Kang x Eagan Lovett
Saeyoung Choi x Anneliese von Schwartz
Saeran Choi x Airaian Nolan
Jumin Han x Siobhan Shaw
Jihyun Kim (V) x Imogen Winthrop
Mr. Love, any Ikemen otome game:
Kara Young
And let’s not forget my male OCs!
Theodore “Theo” Pratt
Julian Tate
Gabriel George
Zephyr Hunter
Seth Chase
I love my OCs with everything I have in me, but it is Airaian who has a large chunk of my heart, mainly because she is partially autobiographical and a lot of her attributes are similar to mine. I love her so much, and I would do anything for her.
Imogen, Anneliese, Siobhan and Kara were created for the purpose of using them as CMCs for the aforementioned games, but perhaps I will think about writing fics for each of them🤔
Edit: Updates for Jumin and V!
