lil OdyPen headcanon:

My Odysseus "design" (I cannot, for the life of me, draw) has longish, incredibly curly hair, 1.) because he is a "man of many twists and turns" and his hair is the same way (he gets it from his mom. Ctimene is the same. It's a Hermes descendant thing) and 2.) because "long-haired Achaeans", and 3.) from what I know, curly hair was the beauty standard of the time. I like imagining Odysseus as a "pretty boy" mostly because Homer doesn't shut up about it and also, it's handy for when he has to "Manipulate, Mansplain, Malewife" haha. All he has to do is bat his lashes and he now has 3 more goats than what is fair. (He's also a "redhead/auburn". In the shade, it looks more brown, in the sun more red. Sneaky man, sneaky redhead.)

Getting to the point, OdyPen are both fidgeters. Constantly messing with jewelry, their clothing, hair, items in their hands, etc. When they get together they often do the same to each other in a way. (tracing lines on palms while scheming, twisting the ring around the others finger while listening to the court poet, rubbing at the stone on the other's necklace/broach/etc. shit like that.)

Penelope often messes with his hair. Usually with one stand. With it being so curly and with how often she'll do it. (he really is like a cat haha he likes being pampered and pampering her) it's not uncommon for him to get up with one super long straight strand of hair that stands out from the curls. He just either rolls with it or ties it up :D

How high are the chances of tsams uploading another lore video today? this time with Ruin Clipsy being the main focus all like- "YOU FOOL! I HAVE BAMBOOZLED YOU ALL INTO BELIEVING MY LITTLE CHARADE! WHO'S THE MASTERMIND NOW, MOON?!"

I mean- I wouldn't be opposed ykyk, cuz it's pretty clear their character is heading this way, but at the same time I just want them to have a good time not being Ruin pretending.

Imagine if the only way to properly cure them is to just shoot them off into space where they can't access the internet. Like- that was how we found out about their existence back in... july I believe? When Ruin "rescued" Foxy.

I'm still holding onto my theory of them needing more dosages of the antivirus to be properly back to themself. Like, yes, right now they are reverting back to their Ruin self, but if they have the cure copied over somewhere... I believe Sun sent Moon a copy of the cure? So at least Sun should have the antivirus still stored somewhere, it is highly possible that they could just make more coppies of it and upload them into Clipsy's systems until the virus just won't come back anymore.

I said this in a previous post where I also geeked abt this but- if that were to happened, they would've needed to involve more with Clipsy and not shove them into the ballpit or wherever tf to just be done with them. If they spent time around them, at least ONE of the daycare family, be it Sun, Moon, Solar, Lunar, Earth or even the COMPUTER. They could've had the computer scan them or just keep an eye on them to alert them if anything seemed off, right? That's the bare minimum they could've gone with. Yes no one would've still bothered to even look at them unless Clipsy straight up went up to them and asked, but even then they haven't done that. Clipsy kept to themself. Sun probably spent the most time around them while they were being a shark in the ballpit on halloween, but STILL!

If only they kept a closer eye on them, gave them the attention when it was clear they were definetly going through a lot. Like... they literally woke up in a strange yet familiar place after who knows how long, were met with people they didn't know and were told they could never go back home again. Not to mention.. coming to terms with the fact they've DEFINITELY killed someone in that window of unawareness? They needed someone to talk to, and they haven't even been given the opportunity to let it all out, get the comfort they clearly needed.

So I finished mazinkaiser awhile ago after months of procrastination on it and for one reason or another I’m not gonna give my solid thoughts on it but there is one specific thing I wanna point out, not as a critique but more so a confusion. That being: I find it weird how Mazinkaiser isn’t the turning point for Mazinger where they finally go “hey the robot is sentient” because it’s not yet near the end literally EVERYONE talks to Venus A as if shes actually a person:

I’m not saying this as a criticism for the reason of my already biased to vaguely sentient robots-because as much as I prefer this angle with mecha, I understand not every and all mecha can approach this because sometimes the robot is JUST a narrative tool and not a character, which is fine-however I’m confused with Mazinger of all things didn’t take this approach when there’s already so much emphasis on Mazinger being tied to gods. I mean, apart from the fact the robots are based off Greek Mythology and there is a constant message of “will it become God or Devil” which feels like it warrants this enough, it would start to make sense if the robot grew sentient because Mazinkaiser is treated as the ULTIMATE Mazinger. (And where have we heard a case where the “ultimate” form of a robot starts to be the one that displays more self awareness *cough* GETTAH🗿)

Especially also within this ova- it seems to do stuff on its own accord to PROTECT Koji, like going on auto pilot as he’s knocked out and somehow keeping him safe from being burned alive in magma, but I cannot tell if this IS a indicator Mazinkaiser is actually sentient or if it’s just all auto pilot. Oh and it’s a more minor thing but also just- the human poses Kaiser and Venus take during the beach episode… I cannot tell if that’s something they wanted or if their pilots just posed them comfortably because lines seem to blur with the robots just being treated as the extensive of the pilots. (Venus is literally based off of Sayakas appearance after all)

It’s just weird Nagai never went this route and just stuck to metaphorical stuff, when it feels like SOMETHING he would do given the nature of his stories and yet the only fully sentient Mazinger media I know is Zero. Of course I still have such a limited window on Mazinger so if this is me actually being wrong please feel free to correct me, but I still will never not find it weird Mazinkaiser lacks this aspect asides from maybe vague allusions to it that may or may not be implying it. Maybe if I ever rewatch it or find more Mazinkaiser content specifically I’ll be able to piece things together a bit more.
