Ok I HAVE to talk about this song.
When you think of Classic Weather Channel (from 80s to mid to late 2000s) You think of chill jazz, sometimes season appropriate music like Christmas music, sometimes heavy metal jazz, but you don't expect BOSS BATTLE music.
For years, nobody could figure out WHO composed it, some people compared it to Yoko Shimomura's works. There's an entire Vice article about the writer searching for the composer. It wasn't until this year, the song writer surfaced! Chris Kennedy is the song writer.
Just for fun, here's the song actually on the air in 2008.
youtube
From what I can gather, that was the only time the song was used?? Even the Weather Channel reps had no clue about this mystery.

my Hazbin Hotel first watchthrough
(DISCLAIMER: this post is being typed as i'm watching. there may be inconsistencies in my attitude as i go on.)
🛑SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT🛑
Ep 1: blehhhh...
Ep 2: overall: "eh." villain song was pretty good.
Ep 3: something something something plot plot plot- LOOK IT'S THE SILLY SNEK AND EGG BOYS. 💖 "I'll Be Your Armor/Keeper" was a damn good song, even if at this point in the series i couldn't fucking stand Charlie.
Ep 4: ...okay i'll admit. this one for all its heavy subject matter was... handled alright. was nice to see Charlie finally grow some goddamn balls and show some righteous anger. kinda wanted to strangle Husk here until he actually showed some empathy. "Poison" was a good song, even if Angel's VA was pretty weird and pitchy at points. "Loser Baby" was a good one though.
Ep 5: i feel conflicted as a Christian finding Lucifer so charming. /j /lh also i think Charlie's starting to grow on me. and it only took over half the series. also fuck you Mimzy. the Alastor vs. Lucifer song was a goddamn bop. and "Hell's Best Dad" was beautiful.
Ep 6: WHOA. WHOAAAAAAAAA. WHOA. I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT FOR NOT SEEING THAT COMING. this episode is hitting all the Christian Universalist and deconstructionist sweet spots for me. and God i love Emily, poor bab. ;~; ALSO YASS ANGEL STICK IT TO THE MOTH MAN.
Ep 7: all my hate for Charlie is gone. i just want her and Vaggie to be happy. i feel so bad for both of them. also "Out For Love" beats the entirety of Steven Universe's soundtrack in every category lol
Ep 8: oh gosh this... ohhh... this was phenomenal... like i started out hating this show and now i'm just itching to see what goes down next season!! i'm glad i stuck through!
misc. notes:
i hate that this series basically requires you to watch the pilot to understand the first episode. luckily i've seen it but...
i like some of the background character designs.
i like the little one-eyed gremlin girl thing.
i know we're supposed to like Charlie but GOD she's annoying. I RECANT THIS STATEMENT
Alastor best character.
i kinda like Sir Pentious. he's silly. and i love his egg boys.
Vaggie's just as done with this shit as i am but the difference is she loves Charlie where as i just want to strangle her lmao.
Velvette's kinda hot ngl.
Camilla too.
seriously though am i supposed to like Charlie? when do i start to like her? I ALSO RECANT THIS STATEMENT.
i feel like i would like Charlie more if she wasn't essentially a ripoff of every "quirky" Disney princess from Rapunzel onwards. AND I RECANT THIS ONE TOO
okay, as of ep 5... i'm starting to not hate Charlie so much.
why do some of the denizens of heaven look like demons?
ep 6 is where this series finally really grabs me ngl. glad i stuck around. i'm on the beginning of the finale as i'm typing this point and i'm excited to see how it concludes.
OH GOD IT WAS WORTH IT
the angels of heaven really do seem to be the "american evangelist/dispensationalist" archetype. they don't know why a soul can't be redeemed after death. they don't question it. they're not allowed to because... it's "breaking the rules" or whatever. as someone who grew up in that kind of environment, that really resonated with me.

it’s two am and i am not sleeping again. so. casting for birds of prey: comics version
oracle played by margo gignac. this was a mega difficult decision bc i wanted barbara to be played by someone who was an actual wheelchair user + someone who looks like she could scold batman into submission. gignac fits that best i can do. i also think she has great hacking hands. i read gignac was a black belt somewhere & i think that’s great for someone playing babs too
black canary played by lindsay watson. it’s wig time babey! i specifically wanted to pick a dark haired actress because, even though dinah’s dying her hair by the time bop rolls around, i don’t forget her roots (pun totally intended). i wanted to pick someone who looked like she could kick an army’s ass and then scoop up a child & call them sister. watson fits the bill nicely. i think she has a kind face and her interviews speak to so much determination and willpower, which is the energy i want brought to dinah.
huntress played by tea falco. she’s an italian actress from sicily (like helena! who was born in the us but raised in sicily) who just has this look to her i really love, especially for bop huntress. she seems fun and beautiful and like a good teacher. i don't have a lot to say here, really. i looked at her face and went yeah that's huntress
lady blackhawk played by america ferrera. i think about zinda having a beer while huntress & canary destroy the bar & zinda walks away w the info theyre looking for. big america ferrera vibes. also i love the idea of lady blackhawk being played by an actress named america. also zinda’s hot & america ferrera’s hot i have no other notes here.
lady shiva played by lucy liu. this is the inspiration for this post and also my personal sapphic fantasy ngl. (liu is beautiful of course and i have the fattest crush on shiva lol)
right. boy time!
nightwing played by paul eryk atlas. my understanding is that atlas is a romani british actor. he's primarily played romantic leads and def looks it. i like him for nightwing bc that's basically dick's role in bop. he serves to be barbara's on again off again bf. also atlas has long hair and i'm a long hair dick supremacist (now. wigs do exist but dude got LUUUSHHH hair). (runner up: jan cina, who's just a little too ectomorphic for nightwing for my tastes. sorry dude)
ted kord played by robert buckely. i got nothing to say. buckely has a nice smile and is otherwise a white dude w brown hair. which is also what ted is. so. between a kord played by buckely and oracle played by gignac, oracle remains the powerhouse. as it should be.
robin (tim drake) played by jay lycurgo. was titans supposed to be awful? yes. did i see lycurgo get cast and go DAMN THAT'S TIM. yes. he has that look in his face. that's all. also i saw him in the bastard child devil show on netflix and he gave off THEE BIGGEST tim drake energy there. i was very impressed. (runner up: david mazouz just for the lols).
batman played by robert pattinson. sue me i liked the batman 2022. no notes.

How would you describe Barbara's personality?
DISCLAIMER: as for all my babs posts, this applies exclusively to pre magicuring babs
short version: the title her channel has on the batfam discord im part of :P
Tumblr media
(name was voted on by babs fans :P)
but anyway longer version:
babs is a character who is fiercely independent and doesn't really like being reliant on other people... physically or emotionally. she keeps people at arms length. she has a lot of what i view as bruce's unhealthy traits (feels personally responsible for everything, doesn't like letting people in, workaholic) a difference is i think she's slightly better at recognizing this and correcting it :P (Including when she treats other people unfairly -- she recognizes that she got over protective of Dinah after she got captured and injured and she wouldve HATED if anyone did that to her)
she also, despite being somewhat distant, is a character who very much believes in change. like thats part of the point of BoP and later on we see her try to change helena (against her will ;_;) and savant so savant is not a supervillain anymore and is also very much a mentoring people who are down on their luck kind of person (link) and she kind of wants to be the person for other people that some others* were for her. and she is SO involved in the superhero community it is obvious that connections are very important to her and she wants to be there for everyone even if she rarely will let people be there for her
she can also tend towards hypocritical sometimes :P Some of this is probably due to changing in writers but its a fun character trait to play with (and some times it is in text intentionally, like when she treats dinah in a way she would not like to be treated). but in suicide squad we see her debating luring carmichael into a trap to kill him (in her defense: he is totally trying to kill her) and later on we see her being OK with taking a life in self defense (she prepares to shoot someone in NML to save one of her operatives but helena as batgirl shows up so she doesnt need to, and she gives helena the go ahead to kill people if she needs to to rescue tim in jokers last laugh)... which makes it kind of amusing/frustrating that she beefs so much with helena which i think was partially due to the writers wanting everyone to exclude helena in batfam and partially due to good old fashioned misogyny on part of dixon (b/c dick had a one night stand with helena in one comic, so obviously babs has to hate helena in another and then other writers cant drop it b/c they cant imagine female characters as having relationships outside of men. though most of those writers were... male writers. act surprised)
this is what inspired the channel name (in that she recognizes traits she has in others but doesnt like it :P)
anyway time for some virtues: babs is extremely self assured and like… almost NEVER comes across as insecure or if she is insecure she reacts in a way that is more like covering it up by acting as ifs he has no doubts, which I like. frequently, when she is in distress, she is the person who rescues herself or at least contributes to her rescue (yes even as a disabled woman. act shocked, ableists). and despite the hard time she can have getting along with people and the many mistakes she makes, she also never stops trying and always learns from her own mistakes.
her self care in BoP reads like making sure other people are taking care of themselves XD (getting helena a teaching job, helping dinah get a flower shop, them getting civilian lives and she's just... still there, still without much of a civilian life). though this works with like. how little she seems to like other people taking care of her.
She reads as kind of autistic to me NGL
I am running out of things to say or more of i am worried i am repeating myself.

I'm bored so I decided to re-do my prediction for the semi-finals, with details this time. This is pre-rehearsals btw, and after them I'm sure they will most likely change but...I'm still too excited for ESC and I wanna talk about so yeah. These are in a random order btw so like anyone from, let's say 1st-3rd can be in any order at all.
SEMIFINAL 1
(Q) 1ST-3RD
• Norway. Well most people will already know this one from Spotify or TikTok or wherever this song is extremely popular (I don't have either of these lmao) plus I think the staging will be pretty dynamic and fun. I think this secures it as a clear qualifier from start.
• Sweden. Another no brainer. Epic staging, Loreen, great running order, she's in.
• Finland. Massive public support. He's also in.
(Q) 4TH-7TH
• Portugal. I think that the colorful, cabaret-like staging and Mimicat's charisma will be enough to make this qualify. It's really fun and catchy and I can see also getting the public's eye
• Croatia. Well they're pretty much established with Serbia voting and it's gimmicky and chaotic enough to also get the attention of the televoters.
• Israel. This will probably have a great choreography and also it's the only girlie bop in the semifinal which already stands out. Plus I think Noa is pretty popular herself so that alone will help her qualify.
• Moldova. Just the chorus alone is an absolute earworm and definitely memorable enough to make Moldova sail to the final.
(?) 8TH-12TH
• Malta. I know some of you will say that it will miss out, because it's 2nd and Malta does bad with the televote, but I'm sure they might actually have a decent chance to go through. It's incredibly catchy especially with the sax, yeah I can see the voters jamming to this (and preferably vote as well lol). Even so, this semi is stacked so I don't know if there will be enough room for this to get in, so that's why it's in this category.
• Latvia. Their stage show is very neat and professional from what I've seen and he can carry the vocals very well. I think casuals might be a bit confused with the structure of the song, but I still think this one could also be an option for qualifying.
• Switzerland. One of the few ballads in the semi, which can make it stand out, but at the same time, Switzerland last year didn't get that much love from the public with a (kind of) similar song. Though I feel like the message can get to the hearts of the voters and uhhhh maybe even vote for it? I don't know. It could go both ways. But I think he has a chance as well.
• Czechia. The live vocals can make or break this one so I hope they nail the harmony. Probably has the biggest chance out of these ones from this category to go through.
• Serbia. I have a feeling that casuals might have a hard time connecting to this or finding it too weird, it's also really early in the R/O, but at the same time is has a very impressive staging that will surprise.
(NQ) 13TH-15TH
• Netherlands. I didn't want to put them here, but I feel like they don't have that much of a dynamic on stage and it's like they were forced to sing together instead. The song might go on for too long for some people, or they might be put off by the lack of chemistry between the two. I can see Netherlands doing a Verona ngl.
• Ireland. I feel that the show will elevate this a bit more, but I don't think it will get enough points to qualify, since again, this semifinal is a literal bloodbath and not enough room.
• Azerbaijan. Probably the lack of competitiveness of the song might make it struggle a lot to go through.
SEMIFINAL 2
(Q) 1ST-3RD
• Slovenia. Amazing staging, the guys are charismatic and fun on stage, plus this is an incredibly weak semifinal, I can see them comfortably Q-ing.
• Austria. They have the televote appeal and the earworm-ness of Poe Poe Poe, so that's another easy qualifier. They're very stable vocally from what I've seen at the pre-parties.
• Australia. Besides being the last ones in the R/O, they too have a great show potential and voices. So they're in as well.
(Q) 4TH-7TH
• Armenia. The 2nd place might make it struggle a bit but I honestly can't see this flopping. It will come alive a lot on stage and I can see them having a very enticing staging.
• Estonia. Contrary to what I've seen, Estonia to me is a pretty sure qualifier. Her voice is tremendous and the instrumental is honestly beautiful. Will attract the ballad-loving voters for sure.
• Cyprus. Well, it's definitely a pretty safe pop song, with another great vocalist, so I think he's qualifying.
• Georgia. Ah thank god, for the first time since 2016 they really have a good chance to qualify, like I'm so proud of them you have no idea. Okay, about the song. I can see this having a big staging with dancers and all, and again, she sings great live.
(?) 8TH-12TH
• Albania: I think the R/O helps them a bit in terms of qualification, their voices are amazing, and might get the balkan votes.
• Belgium: It's indeed very dynamic and dancey, he might have a chance too? I really have no idea about Belgium, sorry.
• Iceland: Pretty underrated from what I've seen in the odds and fandom, honestly from this list she's the most likely to make it out. I think she'll get some votes, she really owns the stage with charisma and energy.
• Poland: This one depends heavily on her vocals. If she sings the same as in the nf, she'll NQ. If she improves until the semifinal, she might actually have a bit of a chance to go through. It has a good amount of streams on Spotify and has the safe pop song-sound that casuals would be familiar with.
• Lithuania: Actually, along with Iceland, she's having a good chance too. I think some people might really like the catchier conclusion of the song, you know, the ciuto tuto part. Plus, the R/O might help her a lot.
(NQ) 13TH-16TH
• Greece: Probably the song moves too slow for some and they'll get bored I think? There's also the other songs that the voters might like more. However, they have the Cyprus vote guaranteed, but I don't know about the others.
• Denmark: I thought at first that it might get the appeal of the younger voters, but I'm not so sure about his vocals? Will it be 100% his natural voice? Will he have the vocoder just like Greece last year? If his vocals won't be so brilliant I can see him struggling a bit.
• San Marino: I don't think it's that competitive, might get the rock fans voting for it but outside of that...I'm not so sure.
• Romania: Mmyeah, maybe some will be put off by the message or the pacing of the song, either way, this one has a very poor public support from what I've seen so currently I don't see having that much of a chance...

Ranking Milgram Trial 1 Cover Songs
Hibana - I think I'm kind of biased bc Es is my favorite but OH MY GOD round of applause for Yurina Amami. Es's voice is so lovely in this song and shows both softness and power! Love it!
Otome Dissection - MUU NEVER MISSES. rare W from the French. Arisa Kori strikes again.
Liar Dance - it's just a bop. Shidou's voice fits this so well and it's just catchy. I'd never heard this song before Milgram and it was a good first impression.
Mozaik Role - ...Fuuta I'll give credit when it's due. His cover is so good it actually makes me want to get up and roll around on my bedroom floor. However he could never beat my gf Muu.
Anti Beat - Aimi has the most lovely voice. Also the key that this song is in made me cry tears of joy. It's so good, Kotoko is so cool I just love it all. She got below Fuuta purely bc I like Mozaik Role better...
Two Breaths Walking - SHUN HORIE DOES IT AGAIN. I don't know why this cover is so much lower than I expected, but I truly do love it a lot. Haruka never fails to get the best songs.
Monopoisoner - ...I've listened to this song like once and genuinely forgot what it sounded like. I do remember that the instrumental is a bop though. And of course, you could never go wrong with Hanae Natsuki
Cowardly Montblanc - Ngl I was going to put him higher but I realized I never listen to his song help- Kazui you madman love you and your youness.
Psychogram - people ask why Mahiru got guilty when this was the cover song - but she devoured Psychogram, truly! I just wish the instrumental was a bit heavier bc that's what I really appreciated about the song.
Sticky Bug - it feels criminal to rank Yuno's cover this low. it's the pafu pafu Nya Nya song... I feel ashamed, but I promise you that I love this song a lot.
Positive Parade - Nothing's wrong with it? But it doesn't stick out to me? Sorry Amane... you are amazing though keep girlbossing.

thoughts on this years eurovision? im like mildly disappointed ngl. like there are so many ballads and slow songs and barely any fun ones. i can't even get invested in an act to root for on Saturday😔
Overall I think the quality I think is pretty high, especially in semi final 1 I found myself enjoying pretty much every other entry. Oh my god, look away anon 🙈🙈 Portugal's saudade saudade is my absolute hands down ride or die I-will-vote-20-times favourite. I started tentatively checking out this year's entries on Spotify like 2 or so weeks ago and this one got me immediately. It's just so beautiful, starts off slow and delicate but then builds up and there's an interesting beat and clapping segment, the lyrics are touching, it combines the artist's native language and English...It gave me all the Sebchal feels; I looped it like a hundred times, I cried, I loved it. So yeah, even if it doesn't win it's pretty much the song that defined my Eurovision experience this year. ❤️
In a similar vein, Italy's would-be 2020 entry, Fai rumore, completely got me. The way they brought the singer back for semi final 1 and gave him the performance he was robbed of due to the the pandemic, the way the crowd sang along with him...floored me tbh. Again, the lyrics are beautiful, and discovering the ~context behind the song made me appreciate it even more. Not this year's entry I know but shh. Incredibly sad but so so good. 😭❤️
On the topic of Italy and ballads (if you classify this one as such): Brividi is a top 5 for me. I like Poland! One of the few years we don't suck tremendously, though it gets overplayed a lot and I feel like I've heard it 36458 times already at this point jsjdf Oh, and Sweden's growing on me. My brain is defaulting to associating everything with Sebchal so that probably helps somewhat sjdfjg
I liked North Macedonia's Circles in semi final 2 but it didn't make the cut so :/ Oh and Cyprus!!! Reminds me vaguely of my dear beloved Secret Combination from 2008 (she podiumed!!!!!!!). But I feel like it's definitely one that's, er...better in the studio version rather than the live performance. It'll live on my Spotify I suppose jsjf Kind of enjoying the retro vibe in Lithuania's entry but not like a fave either.
As for the more upbeat/out there ones, I like Ukraine's entry! And ofc Give That Wolf A Banana is iconic and insanely loopable jsdefjrg Also I feel like this an unpopular opinion but Austria had me bopping ngl 🕺🏻And France as well, I'm kind of intrigued 👀
I feel so weird about Space Man (which is currently sitting in 2nd according to bookmakers) because like. Yeah I like it I suppose but also it feels like a generic song I've heard on the radio before. Forgettable, I guess. :/
TL;DR:
✨My current top 5✨

I feel bad for YBN Nahmir. Am I the only one?
Tumblr media
Okay, so he rode the soul train straight into a dusty ditch but let's be honest, we can't always make straight bangers all the time. Like, you can try. Lord knows I've tried. But we know neither of us are making big dusty heaters 24/7. (One thing I realised though, when I produce my dusty joints is that I put too much expectations on myself, and if I approach my song writing that way I kinda fuck it up. So, the trick is in like, "letting it be"(?)) Even Kendrick has trash bars and songs.
Tumblr media
But you know what I really think happened?
I think he was just experimenting. As musicians/people do. And he messed up. Like musicians/people do. I mean, you're supposed to change things as you go on with your music career. That's how you learn, that's how you grow. By trying things, by failing, etc. I've definitely made some of the dustiest drill beats after having only written mid neo-soul joints for a minute. He was just trying to Denzel Curry except he kind of train-ed more than curry-ed (?). And that's okay.
Tumblr media
But having said that...
youtube
...his new shit is hot ass oml
Ngl I really hate it. Like...it's okay to change your sound as long as you do it well but he didn't. It just feels like he didn't put any thought or effort in it at all. When I think of YBN Nahmir, I think of lighthearted (?) violent stuff packaged in fun (??) bubbly bops. Not this weird, grimey, "fake gangster" sounding stuff. (I don't know his actual affiliation so I apologise if I'm coming off disrespectful, that's not my intention)
Tumblr media
I mean, I see why he changed his sound. Or atleast I think I do. I think he changed his sound because he wanted to make another hit. So he decided to follow trends.
But I wish he didn't. I wish his sound change came from a sincere place.
I mean it's fine, I'd rather you be a corny rapper than a starving one. So I'm not hating at all. Like, I can't. I totally get it. But at the same time...I wish that wasn't the case.
After all, he does have talent. And if he put his heart to it, he could easily bounce back.

i apologize for the amount of dead skull emojis used in this post - nothing else felt right idk why 💀 you legit took the words right out of my brain again - poppin love was indeed SOOOO 90s boyband. the music in the chorus was so dreamy and then them in the all white/denim fits just...*chefs kiss* and omg the chill kill trailer was just straight up creepy af. it was honestly the ending for me with yeri's shadow just standing there as she walked away. I actually made sure my doors were locked after that scene 💀💀💀 red velvet is back in their creepy girl bag and for me that's a sign that this cb is gonna slap lol lastly, GOLDEN - jungkook was definitely aiming to give us pop boi vibes and he didn't disappoint - that's definitely what the album was giving - reminiscent of justin bieber, shawn mendes (he worked on one of the songs), bruno mars, etc. my faves were yes or no (prob my fave to play in the car <3), hate you (sad shawn mendes bop), shot glass of tears (great for nighttime drives and angst imo), too sad to dance (love yourself by jb coded), and somebody (vibes), basically in that order. of course you know I loved Seven and honestly my favorite single that he released was 3D - I'm so obsessed with that song and the music video and the jack harlow feature and everything so that one is high up there. Also jk featured on this song Too Much with the kid laroi and if I'm being honest that is probably my favorite song overall from JK's golden era but he's just a feature on it so...💀 But like please check it out - his voice is so silky smooth and he and the kid laroi on a track just deeply satisfied a need I didn't know I had. the british dude's verse's kinda slapped too ngl 💀 this might be a hot ass take so don't come for me yall but...I didn't really care for Standing Next To You. I know exactly why he chose it for his main single from the album though - he's solo on it with no features unlike Seven and 3D, and it's super vocally complex. I can tell he wanted to showcase his range and this was definitely something really fresh from him and executed really well. he was super smooth on it and the vocals were amazing - reminded me of a bruno mars vibe which was really awesome - it just wasn't my personal taste in terms of sound but I respect it and was truly impressed. i'm just a sucker for basic ass bops most of the time lol. but that song would totally go hard at a concert though - like it's a perfect for a performance also, final sidenote...was lowkey surprised the entire album was in english (i believe)? ik hybe is making a big push in the american market, and it was fun to hear him singing in english like that, especially for me since I don't speak any other language and he sounded great - I loved being able to actually sing along, ya know? 💀but I was just genuinely surprised. I would have totally been down for a full korean album
WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT CHILL KILL?!?!?!?! Initial thoughts?! It's been a couple of days and the album has been ON REPEAT! I will admit, Chill Kill is not necessarily my favorite title, but it's also not my least favorite?? The intro is chilling, but the preppy pop direction it took, took me by surprise LoL. The b-sides are so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 One Kiss and Underwater are my favorites!!!
Imma be honest 💀 I am working very SLOWLY through Golden rn 😅 I'm not sure why, but similarly the title track just didn't intrigue me all that much - the choreo was great and JK looked 🫢🫨 Personally, Yes or No and Too Sad to Dance >>>>
I'm sorry friend - I didn't enjoy Too Much 💀😂 Central Cee's feature felt SO out of place for me, it kind of ruined the whole song imo~
Even though I'm not a huge fan of Golden thus far, I'm proud of JK for pushing it into the West! As an Asian American, it's very nice to see representation in the pop industry 🥹

Rid it’s dream girl I am suddenly back on here more frequently🤣
Ngl I always see your asks turn into BTS music review every time a member drops something and the recent discourse about Jungkook’s ✨sexy time✨ music is the same.
I love it. Like I legitimately love his sound. I am Taehyung biased thru n thru, like he’s my bby AND I have a literal maternal aunt who’s Taehyung biased as well and is always ready to fight me for him (gloves off, she’s a dirty fighter ngl).
Hold on, I was making a point.
Oh yes, even though I am a Taehyung biased girly, I think I love Jungkook’s solo sound the most. Idk idk it’s just very him
And I like that he’s not holding back on his sexy time sound because I am ENJOYING it. 3D is a bop. A bop I won’t be introducing my little cousins to, but a bop nonetheless.
Also Jungkook understands consent is sexy, so it makes him even sexier😚
I like that he’s exploring a genre and themes that they(as a group) haven’t ventured into in a while and I like that he’s just out here being sexier and breaking out of the mould fans have kinda tried to keep him in. (Idk I won’t go into that bc that’s a thesis on its own)
Anyway lmao I hope you’re enjoying it and I hope you’re living well and healthy and doing good.
It’s exam szn again, and I’m trying to pass a bunch of modules so a kind thought would help🙏🏽

Hey, so here’s my lil’ mini review of Key's 2nd mini-album Good & Great after listening to the whole thing twice:
Good & Great: A bop! The harmonies, the melody, the joyous vibe, the pulsing beat~! It's a nice, fun song ^^ and I'm glad it's the intro to the album.
Can't Say Goodbye: The beat omg~ It’s the kind where I found myself swaying and then rocking out 'cause of that chorus. Loveee the runs during the chorus too! At this point (during the first listen), I was already confident in the whole album being no skip 'cause this was really good!
Intoxicating: Again the beeeat. And this song is sexy bruh <3. Very intoxicating for sure, and literally every song I'm listening to has become my top fave lol.
Live Without You: Key put his whole foot in this album bruh. Loooove the drop before that chorus where the beat goes crazy~! Even tho his synth 80’s inspired trilogy is over, his voice fits so damn well with that style so I’m glad he added a song with elements of that in this album.
CoolAs: Looove that bass bruh. The bassline reminds me lowkey of The Less I Know The Better by Tame Impala (another bop <3). Anyways, the lyrics about how he came out the freezer drippin' ice had me giggle both listens, but yeah I love how he's singing in English in this 'cause he sounds good af in Korean, English (and Japanese). Multi-talented king <333. (And helps that I can tell what he's saying right off the bat, like I don't needa look at the lyrics like other songs, both Korean and English ones lol.)
Mirror, Mirror: Y'all know I'm not always a fan of ballads but SHINee in general typically has some of my fave ones 'cause there's sumn added so it's not just a monotone piano or guitar doing like two notes (sorry lemme stop hating on ballads lmao. I just wish in general that there were more power ballads in Kpop). Anyways, so Key's voice is so beautiful on this song especially and really lends well to the overall sad vibe. Ngl though, it's a nice ballad but I kinda wish the album ended on a high note but I know like every SM album always ends on a resolute kinda note. Either way, I'mma be singing and whistling tf outta this song whenever it's on my playlist lol.
It was hard choosing which songs I'd say are the top 'cause I truly love 'em equally. They all have great elements and beats like I'm genuinely gonna listen to all of them a lot, I already know XD. But anyways:
And so my favs from this album in order are: Intoxicating, Can't Say Goodbye, Good & Great, Live Without You, CoolAs, and Mirror, Mirror.
TL;DR: A completely solid mini-album! Every song's amazing bruh and truly no skip. He did the damn thing with this, and I obviously recommend tf outta this hehe. Seriously, I'm always amazed over how he comes out with even better music than the last time like he's always tryna elevate and I just respect tf outta that <3.

Traja's newest music video!! If you're sensitive to flashing lights, I gotta warn you that there's intermittent flashing from 0:50 - 1:55 though.
I felt every emotion with this song ngl. It took a while to grow on me, but now I'm like... yeah this is a bop. And the music video is set like Traja are in some kind of hell building (affectionate) dancing their asses off.

😂 amg yeah! Jeonghan is very friend shaped, if he was a youtuber he’d fit in very well with the storytime yt peeps. he loves to tell anecdotes of his life here and there, so i heard some carats say that he sounds like one of their friends bc listening to his lives sounds like friends catching up.
wwww amggggg my excited talkative side comes out when it comes to fandoms 🥺💗 i’m glad you find that long answer fun to read hehe! and aaaa christopher beloved 🥺💗 i miss that boy so much. i haven’t been keeping up with skz content lately so i can binge it all at a later time, so been missing them a bit too.
ooo! yes yes give them a listen they have so much good bops in their belt 💗 most of my fave songs are from their recent album (highly recommend Darling bc it’s the song that got me to check then out more 😖)
will give you some recommendations, lmk if you want like a detailed version in a separate ask. i usually add descriptions when it comes to recs but this ask might get too long 🤡
Title Tracks: Ready To Love, Pretty U, Rock With You, Fallin Flower, 24H
b-sides: lilili yabbay, habit, darling, don quixote, don’t listen in secret, light a flame, hug (fun fact! hug is chan’s comfort song 😂)
but if you’re getting into svt/want to check out their content i highly, highly recommend their variety, Going Seventeen (GoSe) bc they’re very much comedians 😭 i got super hooked i probably watch 5-10 episodes a day before i start my day. there’s lots of clipped/highlight edits of the show too if you want something more bite-sized since they’re 30 min per episode.
also aaa yes yes! I feel like their latest release is a bit more up that alley of 4th gen sound while still retaining their sound 😂 Ash is just mwah! good song! the flow is one i really like especially Vernon’s rap 😔 it hits right.
fr fr, saying that phrase is really fun 😭 i probably repeat it a couple times a day when i space out. seungmin and lee know said it a few times too during vlive and it was so funny to watch their reactions 😭👏🏻
dw your secret is safe with me bc… i too… have swerved lanes and holding Joshua and Dokyeom’s hands tightly atm 😳 ngl if this was about dokyeom (their main vocal and happy vitamin) i’d probably write a 5 page essay about him bc he’s the loml, the sunshine prince of my heart 😂 my dk loving hours have been so intense lately.
i love all of them though, my main biases are Joshua (the guy on the left, their resident gentleman from the valley) and DK (his vocals are no joke 😔 like he shot up to my most favorite vocalist in the industry) but i am very much ot13 in heart

I'm watching Diana the Musical so you don't have to
None of this makes sense
Was Diana really into pop?
I see you making Camilla look so much older though
These accents are...something
The real star of this show is that cello player bopping while Diana fake plays the cello
Oh no, I'm really into Prince Charles doing the robot
"Better than a Guinness, better than a wank" A+ lyrics
Lawd this chorus is never off stage how exhausting
Nooooo now the chorus is trying Welsh accents
Nevermind they dropped them pretty quickly
"A baby? So quickly?" Oh honey this musical is moving at breakneck speeds
Two verses later she had Harry yo
"How 'bout for a start don't act like a tart Diana!" I liked you better when you were doing the robot Charles
Camilla keeps referring to Charles as a handsome prince which is a choice
The Queen hates Charles even in this musical yikes
So I guess the last song in the first act was implying that Diana got famous just for being pretty? Harsh
NOOOOOOOOO JAMES HEWITT COMES ON STAGE SHIRTLESS SQUEALING HIS NAME ROCK AND ROLL STYLE
And making so many horse related innuendos
Also they barely tried to make this actor's hair red
"James Hewitt...did do it...in our princess's bed" THESE ARE ACTUAL LYRICS
"Who knew that a commissioned lad would give me more than I've ever had" I AM SCREAMING
There are now 2 beds on stage for Camilla/Charles and James/Diana
THERE WAS ONLY ONE STAGE
But also I'm kind of into Camilla/James now thanks
Stop making all 4 of them sing songs together if you're not going to get them all together
Diana is anti-Thatcher though so we stan
This scene where she's visiting AIDS patients is trying so hard to be Rent
"I'm sick but not blind" "Although my eyeliner's run low" This scene loses effectiveness when they start throwing in every gay stereotype they can
But also Diana promising to send a case of eyeliner is apparently what convinced them all to take pics with her even though they were afraid because they weren't out to their families and such
"It's the 'Thrilla in Manila' but with Diana and Camilla" HAAAAAAAAAAA
IT'S A SING OFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
We were all the losers unfortunately
Did Charles really want a daughter? That seems odd.
Ngl these harmonies in the song where Diana spills the secrets are tight
"No Windsor has ever admitted to having a mistress before" operative word there being admitted
These melodies never go anywhere. They just repeat like 4 measure over and over.
An entire song about Diana's "eff-you" dress I kid you not
Diana is trying to get the Queen to break free now too? What a rebel.
"She never complained. She was good English stock" lolol
Oh Diana gets an Evita moment
Diana sings this very hopeful song and then all of a sudden it's like oops she died
Flashing light warning at the end it's pretty bad
Every actor in this show is too good for it
I'm going to go watch Smash
