Birds of Prey FanCast: Amanda Schull as Zinda Blake/Lady Blackhawk
Zinda: Helena, relax. Go get a beer.
Helena: I don’t want a beer!
Zinda: Who said it was for you?
In related news, Bernadette Peters is now my headcanon voice for Zinda Blake, and it’s all because of this song:
The world continued to turn on whether it was convenient for it to do so or not. Tony had a hundred and one amendment ideas in mind for the Accords, was fielding requests for meetings from board members and potential mergers and VistaCorp, who he would really prefer to dodge for the rest of all time if it was possible in the slightest. Of course, the kids at the colleges around the city didn’t care about any of that if they saw Tony Stark Annual Lecture in the docket, and in recent years he’d taken Pepper’s advice and opened them up for free to the public. Opening people’s minds, talking about the future, about today leading into tomorrow … it was something that Tony was passionate about, and in spite of running on three days of no sleep, by the time the talk was over and he was packing up his notes at the bottom, he actually felt invigorated.
Tony pushed the notes off the desk, packing up his bag before putting it on his shoulder. Just as he got ready to go, he spotted a woman at the bottom of the auditorium steps. Blonde, hair in victory rolls that made a small smile come onto his face at the memory of Peggy, but not a particularly familiar face. If he knew her, it was from a lifetime ago. “Tony,” he introduced, holding his hand out for a shake. “You must have been at the talk, right? If you have any questions, feel free to save me from attending my next meeting. Burning queries from a member of the public always takes precedence over listening to old men talk,” he said, shooting her a grin, “coming from an old man himself.”
