Spawn - Japanese Laserdisc Art
Art by Kazuma Kaneko
Yes, you read that right. They got Kaneko (a big Spawn fan) to do art for the home release of Spawn (1997). Coolest Spawn's ever looked, honestly. Courtesy of Vesk on Twitter.

All of the Trigun TV broadcast OPs included on the LaserDiscs have been recorded and uploaded as well as the comparisons to the finals !!
There are 8 total included on the LaserDisc release, though that does not confirm nor deny the existence of others at this time (The only way any other TV broadcast OPs can be confirmed/denied is by finding recordings of the original airings of the show). I do know that they were used for episodes 1-9, with 1 & 2 using the same version of the opening using episode 1 clips--I think this does confirm that episode 2 never had a unique opening featuring episode 2 clips
Interestingly, there is a sticker on the back of Stage-5's package on episode 10's chapter listing, which, when removed, reveals a 6th chapter suggesting there may have been a TV broadcast OP for episode 10.
(thank you Arth for removing the sticker on your copy and for the photo!)
However, there is no 6th chapter on Side 2. The disc ends at chapter 5, displaying the copyright/legal rights screens that indicate the end of the disc program immediately after the episode preview plays. This was possibly a printing error on the packaging or last minute change made to the contents of the disc, but I have no way at this time to know for sure what happened here and can only speculate.
ANYWAYS I am also working on a video that points out every single change made from these TV broadcast OPs to the final--there is a surprising amount of changes that you may not have noticed, both small and large !!! Hoping to have that ready soon !! And I will be continuing to record the LaserDiscs and share whatever bonus chapter contents are included !!!

You ever had that one movie from your childhood that both scarred you, but still watched on a regular basis? Well, for me, THIS was that movie. It’s SO messed up, yet so addicting at the same time. Maybe it was because I really enjoyed the music, or maybe it was because Blankey always reminded me of my own yellow baby blanket (which I actually still have, lol!). Whatever the case, I’ve always had a certain fondness for this weird, creepy little movie.
Also, I never owned an “individual” copy of this movie on VHS, but I did have it recorded off of cable in the early 90s. Then, years later, I eventually got my own DVD copy, which pretty much has the same artwork as the American VHS (8th picture).
By the way, does anybody else think the 4th and 6th covers look laughably misleading? XD
