Detective Lee - Chapter Nine

THIRD POV.

You haven't seen Eunwoo ever since the day you drove him out of the café. You don't know if you should be scared or not: he's not bothering you anymore, but because he's not bothering you, you're feeling anxious. You've found a lot of comfort in Felix's presence, though, and recently started hanging out with him and Yuta.

There is a slight problem: Felix hates Eunwoo and Yuta is close friends with Eunwoo. Every time Eunwoo is brought up in the conversation, Felix wraps his arm around you in a protective manner while arguing with Yuta about why Eunwoo shouldn't be trusted. In return, Yuta glares at Felix and says, "You've never even spoken to him; he's a great guy. Besides, you're not in a position to lie; Eunwoo told me the truth: how you've been stalking Y/N this entire time and invited yourself into our café to befriend her and earn her trust."

At that accusation, Felix's eyes would widen, his arm around your waist getting tighter, "That's bullshit! I came into a boba café to get some fucking boba you nut job. I also got some cheesecake for my boy, Jisung. It has nothing to do with Y/N; I didn't even know she worked there! I'm glad I showed up, though, because now I see Eunwoo for the freak he is."

They would keep going back and forth about their views on Eunwoo until you decided to hang out with them separately.

You were walking down the street on your way home with your head low, thinking about Yuta and Felix's arguments when you bumped into something hard. Assuming it was a pole or wall, you kept walking when, suddenly, you felt a tight grip on your arm. You're eyes widened, "Poles don't have hands."

You were spun around and came face to face with the last person you expected to see, Eunwoo.

"E-eunwoo? What are you doing here?"

Silence. Just a hard glare.

"Eunwoo? Are you okay?"

His grip on your arm tightened, but he still kept quiet.

"E-eunwoo, let me go. You're hurting me."

He smirked, tightening his hold on your arm. You felt dizzy, your blood circulation getting slow.

"Eunwoo, please. Please, let me go."

Right as you were about to faint, he dropped your arm, disappearing into the cold night.

Time skip: your bedroom.

You haven't seen Eunwoo since then and you're starting to think your mind is making these scenarios up. "Did it happen? It feels so distant yet so realistic."

A hand waving in front of your face knocked you out of your thoughts.

"Oi, you okay? 'Been calling your name for a while now."

You looked up at the Australian on your bed, unable to answer his question. (A/N: He's sitting up against the headboard, and you're at the foot of the bed. Get your mind out of the gutter.)

"Hey, you okay? Talk to me," Felix's soft voice said.

You contemplated it, then shook your head. Concerned, Felix tilted his head, looking at you. "You sure," you nodded your head. "I'm still here if you wanna talk, yeah? I'm not leaving you."

You started tearing up; he was always so kind and patient with you. Felix pulled you against his chest, rocking you back and forth while humming a song as you sat there sniffling.

"Your voice is pretty," you looked up at him after a while. Felix blushed, laughing. "It's not the best, but I'm glad you like it. I just want you to smile."

You beamed, dragging him to the living room where you watched a romcom, cringing at the loving scenes and wheezing at the funny. Your earlier thoughts faded away; the only thought in mind was Felix's smile and the way his eyes form crescents when he laughs. ______________________________ This is lowkey trash, but I wanted to publish something for you guys🤷‍♀️

Detective Lee - Chapter Seven

Y/N'S POV.

After that day, Eunwoo has been getting more aggressive. No, aggressive isn't the right word. Possessive! Yeah, he's getting too possessive. He'd glare at all of my male customers, make it a point to walk me home, and even insists on getting into my house to make sure nothing happens while I'm in the shower. "What could happen? I'm at home. I'm safe here."

He doesn't let me lock the doors in case something happens, and he has to hide in there with me. It's a bit odd, but I understand that he's just worried for me.

Time skip: 2 weeks.

Okay, fuck this. Eunwoo is starting to get on my nerves. At first, he would just glare at my male customers, but now he doesn't even let me take their orders. He doesn't let me work during the period where Yuta and I's shifts overlap (A/N: if you don't remember their shifts you can go back to the first chapter where their working hours are written. They'll be in the author's note at the bottom of this chapter, as well.)

The bell dinged, snapping me out of my thoughts. I got ready to greet the customer, putting on my best smile.

"Hello, welcome to District 9! What would you-"

"Get out."

My blood boiled hearing the all too familiar voice.

"What? I want to order something, though," the customer said, exasperated.

"I don't give two rat's asses what you want to do. Stay away from this café. Stay away from Y/N."

I hated how Eunwoo was speaking about me as if I wasn't even there. I was this close to snapping, my knuckles white from the tight fist I put them in. I couldn't hear anything anymore, too focused on staying calm. That effort went down the drain the minute Eunwoo shoved my customer, though.

"Eunwoo! I'm sick and tired of you acting this way! The past two weeks you've been a pain in the ass! You keep sticking to me like a bitch in heat! Always pushing away other customers! I've had it! Sir, please stay, and I'll take your order shortly. Eunwoo, get the fuck out."

"But-"

"GET OUT! YOU'RE RUINING EVERYTHING! I DON'T GET PAID ANYMORE BECAUSE WE DON'T GET ANY CUSTOMERS. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT. SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LEAVE."

THIRD POV.

Panting, Y/N pointed at the door, signaling Eunwoo to leave.

His eyes darkened, a threatening look in his eyes, "You'll regret that, Jeon Y/N," as he left the café. Y/N shuddered, scared of the threat Eunwoo posed upon her. Nonetheless, she put her attention back on the customer in front of her.

"I'm so sorry, sir. You shouldn't have seen that. Are you okay?"

"Oi, it was quite the show, I tell 'ya."

A smile was painted on my face, hearing his thick, Australian accent. "I love Aussies." (A/N: sis, same😪✊)

"Oh, my god! Are you Australian?"

"What gave it away," the Australian joked, winking at Y/N. "The name's Felix. Lee Felix. I take it you're Y/N?"

"The one and only," she said awkwardly.

"You're quite the character, Y/N. Stood up to him like the queen you are. I like you."

"Haha, he's been getting on my nerves recently. And he shoved you. I had to step up."

Grinning, Felix looked up at the menu. "Can I get a taro milk tea? With a cheesecake on the side."

"Of course, that's my favorite menu item! One taro milk tea with a cheesecake on the side. Anything else?" (A/N: chicken noodle soup, chicken noodle soup, chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side. Okay, sorry, I'll shut up💀)

"No, that'll be it."

Y/N turned around, making Felix's boba drink. While she was waiting for that, she plated the cheesecake.

"That'll be $11.59," she said, handing Felix his drinks. Giving Y/N the money, their hands grazed, making Y/N blush. Felix saw this and chuckled, winking at her.

"I'll see you later, Y/N."

"You too- wait, what?"

Looking down at the money Felix gave her, she saw a paper attached to one of the bills.

xxx-xxx-xxxx Call me ;) xoxo

Y/N couldn't help but let out a squeal. "Ahhh! A hot Aussie just gave me his number! Oh, my god, this isn't real. No, it's not. There's no way."

Not believing that this was reality, Y/N slapped herself. Her head shot up, hearing a distant laugh. She went red as a tomato. "Shit! Felix saw me fangirl! This is so embarrassing."

Y/N ran into the back, shielding herself from his teasing gaze.

She was too occupied in her embarrassment, failing to see the angry eyes that watched the whole ordeal. ______________________________ Dun dun dunnnnnnn. Felix is in the book now! I know it doesn't make sense for him to come before Minho, but all will be revealed soon.

Here are Y/N and Yuta's working hours:

Yuta is a full-time worker that works from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, he works from 2:00 pm to midnight (closing time).

Y/N is a part-time worker that works from 4:30 pm to midnight (closing time) on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

She is responsible for closing the café on those days. When she's not working, Yuta closes the café.
