0610 is so funny because mahiru is determined to be a housewife/maternal figure and kotoko is determined to parallel all the other prisoners' shitty fathers. both of them having the traits of "parental figures" that is a mold/box to be shoved into in and of itself which shows the traditional/black and white aspects of their own families. mahiru is determined to be full of love and give others that same love and kotoko pretends she doesn't love at all and bares her teeth whenever you show her love. mahiru has sun symbolism and kotoko has moon symbolism.
and then instead of ever acknowledging the absolutely insane character foil toxic yuri between those two at all, milgram refuses to let them interact ever again except for one interaction from four years ago at the very beginning and kotoko beating the shit out of mahiru. like. thanks milgram. if YOU wont do anything with your very interesting character foils that can also fall into classic "romance tropes" (which mahiru is obsessed with, cough) with their personalities/stories i guess ill do it myself.

maybe bylers can be forgiven for the overall sentiment (far from being everyone’s though) of indifference or dislike towards steve/eddie/steddie when everyone and their mother started pretending eddie spent the whole season gay pinning in gay despair when will byers is right there and steddie was the talk of the town when the byler storyline has been happening for 4 whole seasons and steve was put at the very top of the gay ally pedestal when jon has been the most supportive brother since the beggining.
maybe, just maybe it was okay for will byers lovers & byler lovers to be a little pissed.
everyone and their mother is a dramatic way of me saying, maybe the actual mlm love story in the show being overshadowed by a wildly spread headcanon rubbed us the wrong way and maybe it’s okay to feel like that, even just a tiny bit, or a whole lot.

i’d just like to remind everyone that the original bee and puppycat series on youtube is STILL canon like. everything happened in that still counts. (also i sound very pissy in this, especially the tags, but please know that it’s meant to be a lighthearted reminder)
lazy in space canonically picks up after the youtube series. think of the first couple of netflix episodes as a summary for people who have literally never heard of the show before. yes, it has its faults (i’ve seen people calling it “too boring”, weird pacing, etc etc whatever) but think of it as a weird recap. it’s there for the sake of getting us comfortable to the new style and adding more exposition/character background. again, it has its faults with that but i’m not here to discuss that. the point is that the first couple netflix episodes are basically for people who have literally never heard of bee and puppycat before and maybe saw an ad or two, or opened netflix and saw this new charming show or whatever, and are seeing it for the first time. it’s not expected of them to immediately google the title and watch the original. yes, we lost some iconic lines and scenes in the recap, but those are still canon, they’re still up and we can watch them; and again it was for the sake of the recap and added exposition. like it’s because of the remade episodes that we know more about bee’s dad. that we know more about bee’s past and puppycat’s connection to that. we’ve gotten more hints and background details that add to the story, characters, and the future of the show (the three separate music boxes, the symbols on the screens of puppycat’s ship, how deckard and cass see bee [“weird old lady girl”], literally more info on cardamon besides “he’s a child landlord and is sad and stressed”, etc etc etc)
like i can get the parts that are frustrating to long time fans, i literally have the original memorized so uh. i get it, but still. it’s more than just “we retconned things LOL!” because i don’t really think it was retconning. original plots were a little simplified but they added more to what we already knew. whatever, i’m off topic. the point is: yes, it’s sad that netflix doesn’t have those iconic lines but those are still canon. the original is still canon. lazy in space canonically takes place after the original series. take that as you will.

I like feyre. I like her on her own. I like how she paints to remember and heal, and it’s ugly paintings as well as beautiful ones. I like how she analyzes herself, how she sees the bad and accepts it. I like how hard she is willing to work. I like how she wants to help others. I love her fury on behalf of innocents. I love her vitriol in defense of herself. I love when she shows the spine of steel that she and nesta share. I love when she snarls and snaps and glows and laughs. I love feyre when she’s hard to swallow, hard to put neatly into just one box. I love feyre on her own. And I wish she could be her own person again

listen y'all know i love me some Cats (2019) content and most of the cast has my heart, but i'm not going to sit here and deny that it wasn't the best, it has issues, it messed up a lot of points, and it could have been so so much better
and the Into the Woods movie was just bad, and it's one of my absolute favorite musicals, and it was obviously very much a cash grab because of how stacked the cast was, and the only saving grace in ItW was Emily Blunt
yeah i have strong feelings about these movies if it wasn't obvious

okay since i started this whole debacle about villains and such in BL, let me say my final and only words on it.
The post was originally about no villains except for Katagawa Jr. The entire point of the post was the racist and fetishized treatment his character receives in fandom- it was not a post about him being a villain or justifying his actions or anything–– it was about how he is treated as a nonwhite character in a majority white fandom.
This argument cannot and should not be used in comparison to any other villains as it is specific to the racist tropes and characterization he was given throughout his arc. My statement on him being overly-villified by fandom has little to do with his actions and everything to do with how a majority white fandom sees an East Asian male character who is quite literally written into racist stereotypes.
Comparing Katagawa Jr's treatment in fandom to the white villain who advocates for colonization and genocide is not just plain stupid and racist in itself, but ignoring the entire original intended point of the post I made to begin with.

My hope is that c!Ranboo comes back, learns that c!emeraldduo left him to die so an abuser could be set free, realizes how awful c!emeraldduo are, gets pissed, and then either ditches their asses and drags Tubbo out along with Michael(because goodness lord if those fuckers sink their fangs into MY BABY BOY and try to turn HIM into a bloodthirsty violence crazed mini ctechno BEAST-), ooooooor just straight up kills them so they can't help Dream ever again.
I think he should choose his family and only his family. And that c!Tubbo should get a talking to about endangering their son with leaving him alone with people who set their boy(ctommy's) abuser free. It'd be real neato, me does thinks
Eh I don't think c!Ranboo should kill c!emerald and I also don't think he has to choose between them and c!Tubbo really? Like whether we as fans agree w the writing or not, within canon c!Tubbo has forgiven c!Technoblade for the hurt he's caused. And I also think it'd be kind of fitting with c!Ranboo's whole "people vs sides" thing if he stayed close with all of them? Like these people in his life have proven that they can and will put their differences aside for his sake and that's kind of lovely to see. So like I definitely agree that Michael_B probably shouldn't grow up in the Syndicate and that c!Tubbo and c!Techno should probably keep their distance, but I don't feel like c!Ranboo should have to choose between them in the end

Can we plsss pls pls realize when it’s right to use the argument “there are bigger things to focus on, and focusing on this is setting us back” when it comes to the queer community. Like YES we shouldn’t be talking about aspec discourse again because we all know it’s been an identity for longer than you’ve been alive!!! NO that doesn’t fucking mean you should immediately shut down someone when expressing their distress about not feeling included in their own community because of said discourse
