#like moroha looks like both her parents

Do you know of any fics with an emphasis on Moroha’s and Kagome’s relationship? I’m looking for some juicy mother-daughter stuff. Thank you so much for your time and help!
Hi anon! We thought this would be an easy one, but after lots of searching, what we found is that most fics with Moroha tend to be centered around Inuyasha's relationship with her, or are more general InuKag parenting fics. The short list below are the few we found that focus specifically on the mother-daughter relationship between Kagome and Moroha.
If you're interested in more general parenting fics that feature both Inuyasha and Kagome, we previously put together lists of InuKag being new parents to Moroha, and InuKag raising Moroha.
Enjoy!

Sessrinner love to say that their ship is so popular and that everyone is watching the show for their ship yet if it’s so popular why couldn’t yashamine not get a third season, why is it that sesshomaru and rin were in a lot of episodes of yashamine yet they never trended like inukag, and why is it that after episode 15 viewership dropped. Let’s be honest season one of the show made no noise yet season 2 literally went unnoticed. Yashamine was a horrible sequel and deep down the creators now that.
Even if we were to overlook the problematic aspects for a moment (grooming ship, bad parenting, white washing, slavery etc) and look at it just as the bare bones of what it is (a sequel anime) it’s still not good. Let’s do a list, shall we?
The animation is trash. It’s clunky, rushed, clearly recycled from the main series and from its own episodes, bad uses of CGI, inconsistent models and a plethora of mistakes, awkward frames and cheap colour rendering. The choreography for fights and use of magic and abilities is as cookie cutter as it gets. Y’all know the bad 2000’s Mary Sue stereotypes for how baby’s first fanfic would play out a fight scene or give their character new powers? It’s that.
The designs for new characters aren’t good. The colour stories for the twins just blend together and don’t really stand out. The red stripes of hair exist for no reason. Setsuna looks like a walking bruise and Towa looks like she owns a plantation. Take into account the bad animation and any interesting detail in their designs is lost the minute we’re not in a closeup still shot. Takahashi apparently had some input into the designs and you can clearly tell where her priorities were as Kirinmaru and Moroha have the only passable designs in the show.
Speaking of Kirinmaru and Moroha, they’re the only decently written characters in the show even if they too fall victim to how bad the writing is overall. Moroha is a joke. She’s there to be funny, make mistakes and get hurt cuz funny and provide forced exposition when need be that a joke character should not have. I’m not calling Moroha a joke, I’m just saying that’s how she was treated yet they couldn’t even do that consistently. The entire OG cast is so bland and what characterisation they do get is so OOC that the writers might as well have not tried in the first place. As for the twins, these girls went to the “male brown haired character in a harem” school of characterisation and passed with flying colours because they’re incredibly flat and any opportunity they get to express some sort of strong emotion is not only jarring but quickly forgotten.
The soundtrack is nothing remarkable. What’s new and original feels flat and recycled and what actually is recycled isn’t in the best quality. If you listen closely, you might be able to hear the original episode of the OG anime that the soundtrack was screen recorded from. Something that made me kinda sad to note was how the OG soundtrack samples are the only ones that have any heart in them.
Which brings us onto voice acting. This goes for both English and Japanese. Whatever Towa and Setsuna’s actresses were paid, it clearly wasn’t enough because they just couldn’t get into their roles or emotions of the characters at all. The alternative theory is these actresses are actually some of the most masterful in the business and they read off their godawful scripts in exactly the non existent tone they were handed to them. Everyone else sounds like they’re really doing their best to be involved and earn their pay checks but that’s literally all that motivates them. It reminds me of how tired and disinterested James Earl Jones sounded in the Lion King remake.
The story goes nowhere, which is kind of incredible considering how obviously Sunrise is trying to mirror the original while insisting it’s all new and fresh and like nothing fans have seen before. Speaking of what fans have seen before, don’t include so many obvious references to the original and insist your fans must pay attention to everything if you’ve got no idea what you’re doing from episode to episode. Simpsons and Family Guy put more thought into continuity than this show does. At least if this was Family Guy or Simpsons with their characters who are Flanderized, horrible people, we’d at least have SOME characterisation and an element of self awareness this show sorely lacks.
All this to say that even with the clearly problematic elements removed, this anime still doesn’t hold up well, especially as when it was being released, you had other continuations also in the field like the latest seasons of Attack on Titan, MHA and One Piece still coming out, along with other proper sequel anime like Boruto, the latest part of JJBA or Higurashi, all which blow Yashahime completely out of the water.
This show never stood a chance, to be honest. I remember it being advertised when I was using Funimation and it would usually be a 30 second trailer right next to an ad the same length for Higurashi or Demon Slayer. Even then, the difference in quality was stark.
I almost feel bad for the show…and then I remember it condoned and allowed child grooming, abuse, racism and sexism and, much like any memory of this show in a year or so, any sympathy I have fades away.

InuKag Fluff Week 2022- Day 1: Festival
Yeah, I wanted to try this since I haven't been doing much InuKag stuff. So here's my first entry for @inukagfluffweek !
Inuyasha didn't used to like festivals very much. All the people crowding around and being too loud for his ears, the fireworks going off and making the air all smoky and smelly, not to mention people getting drunk. Even back when he went to festivals with his mother and father, he didn’t like them that much.
Of course, that all changed after he married Kagome.
He couldn't quite explain it, but it was like he found a newfound beauty when he was out here with his wife and his kids. The half-demon was wearing his white T-shirt and a thin red jacket with the sleeves rolled up, as well as a pair of faded blue jeans. Ichiro was hanging back with him, nibbling on a bare dango dumpling stick, texting his girlfriend Tsukihime on the phone while also holding his dog, Riki, on a leash. Moroha stood beside her older brother, slurping up some fresh grilled yakisoba. She was wearing a lovely red kimono with white koi fish patterns, which was a hand-me-down from her paternal grandma. Inuyasha chuckled as he gently ruffled her raven locks, causing Moroha to laugh.
"Dad!" she complained as she gently pushed her father's hand away.
Yamako, wearing his aquamarine yukata, and Sanka, wearing her pink kimono with lotus flowers, both showed off the goldfish that they won from a game they played as they walked in front of their dad. Inuyasha found it adorable that they were going back and forth about whose goldfish was bigger. They were both pretty much the same size, but he still found it cute how they bickered like this.
Then, up ahead of him, holding one of the twins in her arms… there was Kagome. She wore the most gorgeous morning glory kimono and her cascading black hair was done up in a ponytail, which was held up by a lotus hairpin, which was a gift from Inuyasha’s father on the day of their wedding. Her plump lips were colored with red lipstick and she even had her nails painted. Little Izayoi, almost 3 years old, was clinging to her mother while she licked a candied apple, and Usagi, always hyper and cheerful, was waddling alongside her mom, who held her hand tightly to keep her from wandering off as she excitedly pointed at some stands that were selling things like charms and little trinkets.
Inuyasha smiled as he watched his wife, who laughed as she watched one of her youngest daughters enjoy her treat. She was practically glowing from all the lights that lit up the park… and it made his heart swell just looking at her. She looked just as beautiful to him as she did on their wedding night.
They say that magical things happened at a festival. For Inuyasha, that couldn't be more true… especially right here, right now as he watched his wife.
As the family reached the empty lot, there came the familiar sound of the fireworks whistling into the air before they exploded into an array of colors. The kids all gasped in excitement as they watched the fireworks display, and even Riki barked as he jumped onto his hind legs as if he were trying to leap up and bite one. As their children enjoyed the show, Inuyasha stood beside Kagome, who smiled as she leaned against his shoulder. In response, he reached over and wrapped his arm around her and nuzzled the top of her head. She looked up at him, her chocolate brown orbs sparkling like the fireworks.
With a smirk, Inuyasha gently pulled her close… and captured her lips in his, causing Izayoi to giggle as she watched her parents.
Yes, there was definitely nothing more magical than a festival.

~The Life Of Being A Parent~
@inukag @keichanz @artistefish
[Helllllooooo I wanted to do this cute lil fic] [for InuKag week!! Hope you guys like it!! Just a little warning this does contain pre mature birth and small lime activity!]
When Kagome told Inuyasha that she was pregnant with their first child, was he nervous? Oh yes, but he was also very excited to be a father, he may not have known his own father, but he knew he would do his best to be the best father to his future child. Few months later, they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl that they named Moroha. and boy, she was a handful! Moroha would crawl all over the apartment to where sometimes she'd hide under their bed. By the time she was 1 she started walking and the one thing she loved was going into her mother's closet.
"Nonononono!!!!! Moroha!!!! Not you're" mother's favorite yukata!!!"
Moroha's little hands were covered in pink paint from finger painting and her hand prints were all over her mother's white and green yukata. Inuyasha cringed at the yukata as he looked upon the stained yukata. " Oh God.... Kagome is going to kill me...." Inuyasha softly sighed at a messy giggling Moroha covered in pink paint, and picked her up in his arms. " What am I going to do with you Moro?" Moroha clapped her hands and put her tiny hands on her daddy's cheeks. "Moorerowwhaaa...."
"Ahehahehehehe" Moroha giggling as she kept squishing Inu's cheeks.
Inuyasha knew he couldn't stay mad at his little baby everytime he'd look into her eyes he would give in and turn into mush.
" Sighhh.."
" you're such a little troublemaker little girl."
"C'mon, let's get ya cleaned up, then I gotta clean your Mama's yukata."
After, cleaning Moroha up, and taking the yukata to the cleaners, Inu decided to take Moroha to the park.
Inuyasha took Moroha to the little sand box and sat her down with the other toddlers and sat down six feet away at a bench.
Inuyasha watched as his daughter would play and share her toys with the other children, and all he could do was smile.
" She's gets bigger every time I see her."   Said a mysterious male voice.
Inuyasha turned around to realize that the man talking was his best friend Miroku.
" Huhh?, Oh! Hey Miroku."
" It's been awhile!" Miroku said as he put down 3 year old Hisui.
" Alright, Kin'u, Gyokuto, be sure you girls play nice with Moroha, and keep an eye on Hisui."
"Okay Daddy!!" Said the twins.
As the twins ran toward the sand box with Hisui in tow, both of the young Fathers relaxed for a nice peaceful day at the park with their children.
"So? How's Parenthood treating you and Kagome?"
Inuyasha stopped from drinking his water bottle to awnser Miroku's question.
" Well, not gonna lie saying it's easy, that little girl is such a handful that at times she drives me and Kagome crazy."
" Just today while she was finger painting, I literally left her alone for only a few minutes because I had to use the bathroom and by the time I got back, I saw that she went into our closet and took down Kagome's favorite yukata from the hanger."
Miroku's eyes went wide.
" Oh no don't tell me it was-"
Inuyasha heavy sighed.
" Yes.. the white and green one.. the one she wore for her college graduation.."
"Oh man... What did Kagome say?" Miroku cringed.
" Well I didn't tell her I took it to the cleaners, that poor yukata was covered in Moroha's handprint covers with hot pink paint."
" My friend I can only hope those stains come out."
"Keh, you and me both. "
" But you know what Inuyasha?"
"Hm?"
" That's parenting, the kids drive me crazy everyday, the twins fight over dolls, sometimes Hisui pulls Kirara's tails, and I've found a lot of Sango's $100 make up destroyed in the twins room"
Inuyasha gulped at thinking of Sango's reaction of losing all those cosmetics.
" But all that can be replaced, accidents happen, those little Rugrats may drive me up the wall and may kill my wallet especially with the cosmetics, but I love them all so much."
Inuyasha nodded thinking of on the day of Moroha's birth, of how scared he and Kagome we're, due to Moroha coming early at only 7 months. Inuyasha prayed that Moroha would be okay and would eventually grow despite how small she was. Soon after his prayers were answered, eventually he and Kagome brought Moroha home.
Inuyasha smiled at Miroku, then turned to Moroha.
" Yeah, that little baby does drive me & Kags crazy, but I wouldn't have it in any other way."
Miroku handed Inuyasha a strawberry Hi-C juice box for a toast.
Miroku raised his juice box, "To Parenthood."
Inu also raised his juice box
" Keh! To Parenthood." --------------------------------------------------------------------
Epilogue
Moroha was sound asleep in his arms, and he placed her inside her crib and he placed her favorite dog plushie next to her and she took a hold of it and snuggled with it.
Inu smiled at his sleeping baby girl, and brushed away her bangs. "You're just like your mother when she sleeps."
Inuyasha then turned off her little light and left her nursery, " Goodnight Moro." Inu then shut the door. Then when he turned around he didn't notice that his wife had come home from her business trip for the Higurashi Shrine.
"Hey there, Handsome~"
" Babe!" Inuyasha exclaimed
But Kagome sushed him
"Sorry, got a little excited."
" It's okay, Inu I missed you too."
Inuyasha then swept Kagome off her feet and took her to their bedroom.
" Hahaha, Inu you might wake Moroha!" Kagome whispered.
" Nah, she'll be fine, with the day she's had she's out like a house."
Kagome's eyebrow went up
"What do you mean by "With the day she's had?"
" Uhhhhhhh, I'll tell ya later babe," " let's make this night about you and how I'm going to treat my very own Princess"
Inuyasha said in a sensual husky voice.
Kagome then rolled her eyes, and smirked and pulled Inuyasha into a passionate lustful kiss.
" You have no idea how long I waited for this."
Inuyasha then laid them both on top of their bed as he slowing stroked up her thigh, made his way up her skirt, and started rubbing his index finger along her pink panties.
"Kagome...., you have no idea."
The night went as it went, that bedroom was very loud that night, and Moroha didn't hear a thing. As for the Yukata, well let's just say the little pink hand prints will never come out, but it did make it look unique in its own way.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know the YH manga is trash as well because it’s by a pedo apologist, but probably the funniest thing (i.e: dumbest) about it was the time raisins got all up in arms about the change of Moroha gaining silver hair whenever she goes into her Beniyasha state. Like what even? What even is there for them to be mad about? It makes sense that Moroha would look more hanyou-like and take on the traits of her father once she taps into her demon blood. What’s wrong raisins? Jelly that Moroha actually physically resembles both of her parents while your wonderbread twins don’t look a thing like Rin? 😏
They'll get pissy over anything I guess

I think Moroha is boring and too stereotypical for an InuKag daughter, she’s nothing but a stupid monkey and InuKaggers/Kagome stans have a double standard the way they treat her as “canon” compared to the rest of Yashahime. Especially the way they dump on very good InuKik fankid creations and act like it’s an insult to Kagome and Moroha or something when actually Moroha is technically a fankid too and she and any InuKik kids are both equally “non-canon.”
Also an InuKik daughter would’ve been better than loud-mouthed Moroha.
I dropped watching the series at the beginning of the series. I don't know Moroha very much, so it's hard for me to say anything about it. It's true Anon, these are double standards, it's inukags it is normal … they always had double standards before YashaHime, so here it is no surprise to me I also saw them say that "Yashahime is not canon, Moroha is canon". Moroha wasn't written in the epilogue, and yet Rumiko could have made a bigger leap in time to show Moroha with her parents, but that never happened, meaning Inu // Kag weren't supposed to have children in the canon. But they got their daughter through YashaHime, if they say it's not a canon then Moroha is not a canon too. She is a kidfan!
Anon .. they have always been like that .. They keep complaining about InuKik so many years after the end of the series which is strange to me because they got canon and it bothers them that InuKik still exists and creates fanarts with them. This means they still feel threatened because the epilogue showed that Inuyasha never stopped loving Kikyou, and even marrying Kagome as her husband didn't change Inuyasha's feelings for Kikyou.
It looks like to me InuKags are high-ego hyporites(i'm not talking about all,not all are like that, I can tell the difference). I can see that YashaHime has worsened their condition.
Your opinion about Moroha surprised me a lot because I also heard from friends that Moroha is a better character than Kagome because she isn't afraid to fight. Your opinion about her is something completely new to me. Thanks for sharing this with me.
I don't understand this. Moroha is not one of them. Everyone can draw her with whomever they want etc. This is the will of the people … Don't like, ignore and take care of your own ship.
Kikyou would be a much better mom than Kagome. Higurashi is a person with no emotional development and she is not emotionally mature, so … I'm glad that they don't have children in the canon.
and I knew Kagome fanarts where Kagome was inserted instead of Kikyou, so can they do what they want? But we don't? Hypocrites

Towa's a good protagonist, but...
I kind of hate to say it, but I don't care much for Towa, at least not as Sesshomaru's daughter.
When watching the animated Yashahime, I gave the character the benefit of the doubt because the entire series was such a dumpster fire. The manga is a thousand times better in terms of character development, but Towa still falls a little flat for me despite it all.
I get that she's supposed to have more of Rin's personality (the inverse of Setsuna, kind of), but I don't feel like either the manga or the anime has dwelt on Rin enough for the clear comparison to be made. Rin has some distinctive personality traits, but I don't think Towa has those. Any part of Towa we can point to as being like Rin could easily come from any number of plucky female characters. Her compassion and enthusiasm is like Kagome or her adopted family. She looks like Sesshomaru, but I don't get any other connection. You could also say she looks like Inuyasha, or as the anime and manga point out, Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's father, which is even more of a disconnect because we don't really know him either. I don't care if Towa is like Inu no Taisho because he has never been a main character. He was mainly a plot point to drive Sesshomaru and Inuyasha's development in the original.
Towa is fine and likeable as a protagonist, but she's so disconnected from her parents that I don't see much point in making her the daughter of Sesshomaru except that they wanted a half-yokai as the protagonist and they weren't allowed to make Moroha the main character. Her budding romance with Riku could be sweet, but it is almost too much that both have supernatural abilities to work through. Towa is a hanyou trying to figure herself out. Riku is a puppet who may or may not have a soul. That's a lot of plot to work through, and honestly, it feels like Towa's development is not really there. What is her conflict, really? She's well adjusted. She considers her adoptive family her family. She's glad to have a sister and a cousin, but she doesn't appear to be particularly fussed about not knowing her biological parents. She likes using her powers. She inspires Riku. The kind of complexity I would want to see from her, I just don't see. She could have been almost anyone thrust into this world. I felt like at the very beginning there was some conflict for her, not fitting in with the human world, etc., but that has not been explored. I just don't really care about Towa's storyline. More and more, I'd rather focus on Setsuna, Riku, Moroha...
For the purpose of the plot, Towa might as well be Mei, Kagome's neice who comes from the future to find her aunt Kagome and meet Moroha and Moroha's cousin, Setsuna. I am struggling to find a reason to connect Towa to Sesshomaru and Rin other than they needed a magical girl heroine.

So why DID this man choose to stand by instead of help his daughters?
Tumblr media
Let's break it down.
This man is the most powerful demon in the lands. He is the Demon Lord of the West, inherited from his father. I am sure that when he was younger, he was known as the "Son of Inu no Taisho" until his father's demise.
Why is this important? Because nearly every encounter the twins have with random demons, they are called "daughters of Sesshoumaru". Every demon knows them as this. They are TARGETS for who they are. Sesshoumaru knew this would be the case. Yes, he could have kept his kids by his side, just like Kirinmaru, but the narrative showed us the dangers of being overprotective, keeping children under the wings of the parents and never giving them the chance to make their own way. Both of these parents loved their children, this can be said, but they too opposite approaches.
Let's take a look back at this scene
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is the worst day of Towa's life. She just lost her sister. Again. This time permanently. Even worse, she couldn't even get revenge. She just wasn't powerful enough. This scene HURT. This scene was everything we want to avoid. Now here is where Sesshoumaru could have stepped in and prevented Setsuna's death. He could absolutely have stopped Kirinmaru's blow. Here is also where he could have given up Setsuna as the "weaker" offspring. If he was truly heartless, then Setsuna's death would have been proof that she wasn't worthy. Once, he might have held that belief. But these aren't just his children, they are also Rin's.
So he offers Towa his sword.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not just any sword. HIS sword. The Tenseiga. His daughter has the power to create swords out of her own energy, and she is the only one who can save her sister. What Sesshoumaru is doing here is literally passing the torch. This sword was passed to him from his father, and now he is passing it to Towa, along with his faith in her to do the right thing. He knows it's going to be hard. The hardest thing that Towa has ever done. It is going to test her to the very limit, and if she fails, then they have both failed, and Setsuna will be lost to them.
Do you have any idea how much strength that takes? We as parents want to do everything for our kids, but sometimes we just CAN'T.
And Towa does it. She succeeds!! She brings her sister back and increases her power at the same time! And LOOK AT THIS MAN TOUCHING HIS BABIES. HIS GAMBLE PAID OFF AND THEY ARE BOTH ALIVE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And why does Towa need to do this? Why is it up to TOWA to shoulder the burden of saving her sister and bringing back the dead?
As I mentioned before, this is Towa's worst nightmare. She could blame herself for Setsuna dying, but now she can be comforted by the fact that she brought her sister back. This was a tragedy that turned into a TRIUMPH. She can't blame herself now, although I'm sure she tries. And when she tries, the others can remind her that she is also the reason that Setsuna is alive.
But this moment also has future consequences. Later they are pushed into the Black Pearl by Sesshoumaru, who WAS saving them this time, and were able to reunite with Moroha's parents. But how where they supposed to get OUT? Their father didn't have time to say that. He also didn't explain to Moroha how to get into the pearl either, but I digress. Remind me how they managed to get out of Taisho's grave?
That's right. Towa's connection to Tenseiga.
Because Towa picked up Tenseiga and forged a bond with it, she was able to summon the sword directly to the grave site, then use the sword to open the door to the underworld, and the two statue guardians let them pass. Towa is also responsible for rescuing all of them. That would have never happened if she hadn't done the hard part of bonding with Tenseiga. Did Sesshoumaru know that would happen? Probably not. But he had faith that his girls would find a way. His faith in them was absolutely unshakeable. That can mean more from a parent than protecting them from every single bad thing that could ever happen.
Moroha is right. Sesshoumaru didn't want his kids to be weak. He wanted them to be able to fight off any demons and bullies who would kill them just for the prestige. He took the hard way and stood aside to let the girls grow into their legacy. Could he have done more? Yes, he could have trained them himself. He took a gamble, though, and a hard one.
In the end, he was able to watch his children succeed. They saved each other, saved their mother, saved him, and then saved the world from the space butterfly. THEN they saved their friend and reunited her with her father. They succeeded in every important way. They are truly his daughters, and will be important in their own way, forging their own names and legacy.
And he watched it all with proud eyes.

Sessrin fam moments for the future
Now that they’re all together, Sesshomaru finds/builds a home for them, somewhere in the woods away from the village for privacy but also close enough so the twins and Rin can still be near the rest of the family. The girls love Moroha and Rin is quite close to Inuyasha and Kagome. Towa especially finally feels like she’s exactly where she belongs. But while the twins both love their parents, they’re still getting to know them now that they have a home together. What they eventually discover is that their mother sometimes has bad nights when wolf packs are near and they howl all night long.
Moroha comes to visit and spend the night. The excitement of having a sleepover makes the girls restless and they want to go run around outside and breathe the fresh night air and look at the stars. The twins open the door to their parents room, intending just to whisper to them that they’ll be back soon, they’ll just be right outside. But all they do is gasp softly when they see Sesshomaru holding Rin in his lap, allowing her to hang onto him. In the distance, a wolf howls and she grips him tighter. The girls ask if she’s okay, worried for her. They don’t want anything bad to happen to their mother ever again. Their father says she’ll be fine in the morning.
Trusting him, they say they’ll be back soon. But then Rin starts to panic, telling the girls they have to stay home and inside the house, Moroha too. In fact, she wants them all with her right now. She says she’ll protect them if the wolves come. She says she’ll feel their teeth and claws a hundred times again to save them.
Confused and now a little frightened, the girls look to their father. He simply says, “Do as she says.”
The twins listen and go to their mother. While still in her husband’s lap, she gathers her girls up and holds them close. She’s the smallest of the four of them but it doesn’t seem to matter to her. When another howl is heard, she tells them to not be scared. So worried, the girls once again look to Sesshomaru. All he does is set a hand on each of their heads. They’re all still learning about each other but the girls can tell he means to explain to them soon. Once they discover why their mother is like this, the twins go to her every night the wolves are near and cuddle with her while their father chases the pack away outside.

Your opions on Moroha 's looks

Moroha is best girl in every way and that extends to her design. It’s pretty obvious which character Takahashi cared about the most. She’s a perfect balance between both her parents while not looking like copy-paste-50%-of-each clone.
I love her leggings which are a reference to her time with the wolf demons, and is it just me or could her hair bow be a little reference to Inuyasha’s puppy ears?

Can you give your opinion on the new episode?
Honestly I only remember the parts about inukagmor and I don't care about the rest at this point, so I can only tell you what I liked/didn't like about their parts:
What I liked: - Moroha getting the chance to face off Kirinmaru, even if wasn't very long - Sesshomaru getting hit by Kirinmaru's attack to protect Moroha and the twins, it's the least he could do after everything he made them endure - Kagome crying and hugging Moroha, apologizing for "leaving her all alone for so long" even though she's not to blame at all for their separation. It's totally a Kagome thing to do. Satsuki Yukino's acting was top-notch, she's by far one of my favorite voice actress in the series - Moroha remembering Kagome's scent! Does it make sense? Maybe not but it was cute lmao. Moroha's reaction in general was very cute, she was so shy and awkward around her parents. Moroha's VA was also really good in this scene - Towa and Setsuna actually caring about Moroha in this episode. Setsuna telling her they are friends, both of them crying during the reunion and Towa telling Moroha she's happy for her. Much better than how they acted in season 1, but I still don't feel like their "friendship" was built up in a believable way
What I didn't like: - Inuyasha and Kagome running in different directions after the girls arrived and Inuyasha not carrying Kagome on his back for some reason, it was weird - Inuyasha not really having any reaction to Moroha's scent?? If Moroha could remember Kagome's scent even though they got separated when she was an infant, Inuyasha surely remember Moroha's. When Kagome came back after the well closed, he could smell her from far away and ran to her immediately - Kagome's weird, angry initial reaction when she saw Moroha?? And making sure it's really her when in the other episode she was like "That's our baby girl!!" when she saw Moroha flying super far away from her??
In short it could have been better but it also wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I understand why Moroha's VA said she was super emotional when she recorded the scene with Kagome's VA.
We still have to see Moroha's reunion with Inuyasha and they will have the nice hug we saw in the PV but it also looks like they will make Inuyasha act very childish, which is what I expected, lmao.

Hehehe I wrote a lil fanfic
The Pickling Jar incident
Kagome was making a homecoming celebration dinner for Moroha, while chopping up Moroha's favorite vegetables, she realized that the pickled radishes, and pickles were ready to take out and finally eat. Kagome whipped her hands on a rag and walked towards the large pickling jar.
" Oh jeez I forgot how big this thing is... Well I guess there's no other choice than to reach for the radishes from the bottom"
Kagome sighed and rolled her sleeves up and started reaching inside of the large pickling jar.
Kagome was struggling with reaching for the pickled radishes,
" Alllllmosttttt.....got emmmm...." Kagome then finally grabbed a hold of the radishes.
"Got it!!" Kagome beamed " " Finally! Now I can finish making-" Kagome stopped in her tracks and realized that when she was reaching for the radishes, her waist was stuck.
" Oh...no..." Kagome started to panic "
hello?? Anyone??"
Kagome could hear faint foot steps inside the hut,
" Hey Kagome Moroha should be on her way her-"
"Inuyasha??" Kagome questioned awkwardly.
" Yeah it's me, I finished the demon slaying commission a bit early, what are you doing?"
" I was making a celebration homecoming for Moroha.... And I know the both of you love pickled radishes and I wanted to have it as a side dish for dinner..."
"The best radishes were at the bottom of the jar and as soon as I grabbed them I got stuck in the jar..."
Inuyasha was trying to hold in his laughter but couldn't contain it anymore.
"Pffft- HAHAHAHA!!!" Inuyasha was laughing so hard that he made a snort in his laughter.
" IT'S. NOT. FUNNY. INUYASHA!!!!!!" " NOW GET ME OUT OF HERE OR I SWEAR I'LL SAY THE S WORD".
Inuyasha imminently stopped laughing and gulped at Kagome's warning.
" Alright, alright lemme help ya."
Inuyasha lightly grabbed Kagome's hips and started to pull her out.
" Ahgghhhhuhhgg Jeez Kagome, you're really stuck in there!"
" Ohhhhhh please help me out of here!! I'm getting dizzy in here" Kagome exclaimed
" Huhhgghhhhhg a-lmost... Hang in there..."
Kagome started pushing out her hips out, while Inuyasha was pulling.
"Ahgggighhhhuhhg-" Kagome grunted
" So.... Close..." Inuyasha struggled.
POP!!!!
Kagome finally out of the pickling jar and landed on top of Inuyasha.
Kagome took a few breaths in sync with Inuyasha.
" You okay Kagome?" Inuyasha asked while brushing a part of her hair away from her face.
Kagome smiled and gently touched his hand. " Yeah I'm okay now, thank you"
Kagome leaned down for a light kiss, Inuyasha then cupped her cheek and pressed his lips against hers.
" Hey MOM!!, DAD!! I'M HOM- " Moroha yelled as she flipped the door flap open.
Moroha saw in the position of what her parents were in.
Inuyasha and Kagome stopped their kiss in shock to realize that their daughter had just come home.
"MOROHA!!??" Both of her parents exclaimed.
Moroha began to blush and started to sweat.
" I.. I.. uh... SORRY!!! I interrupted you two, my bad!! " Moroha said embarrassingly.
Moroha started to walk out.
" Wait!!! It's not what you think!!" Kagome reached out for her daughter.
Moroha slowly truned around.
"Y-Yeah!!! What your mom said!"
Moroha raised her eyebrow in confusion.
" You guys do realize that your literally in that position, and mom your top is literally off your shoulder and I can almost see everything."
Kagome then looked at her shoulder and immediately covered her chest.
"Eeep!!" Kagome yelled
"Like jeez guys at least put a note on the door or something if you guys are going to make me a sibling!"
Moroha exclaimed.
" It's not what you think Moroha!!!! Inuyasha yelled Besides , your mom and I already did it last nigh-.
Inuyasha was cut off by Kagome's gasp, and she immediately got off of his lap.
"INUYASHA!!!! SIT!!!!"
Kagome screamed.
Inuyasha's beads of subjugation beagn to glow and planted him face down into the hardwood floor.
"AHHHHGGGGH!!!!" "Uhhhhhg...." Inuyasha groaned.
"Jeez Kagome.."
" I swear your an idiot sometimes...."
Moroha then stepped a little bit back from her father but couldn't help but laugh at her parents.
" I swear you guys are so weird. It's good to be home."
Later after Inuyasha recoved from the sit command, the family of three sat together and ate as a loving family, finally living in peace.

Setsuna did not sleep because she could not dream.
She did not dream because her family had robbed that from her.
Setsuna did not know her mother's name because her father refused to look at her.
Her father refused to look at her because she looked like her mother and always had the wind on her blade.
Setsuna was, above all things, unnatural.
She was unnatural because her parents were unnatural, and the way she had come to be was just the same.
It had been by blood and sorrow and wind. A strand of silver hair caught on blustering gust—a dying breath—which entwined with two white petals stained purple with deadly miasma. They were carried away on a lonesome gust of wind, twisted by the the free air across the lands, until they were caught in a tree and nestled away for so many years.
So many years alone in the forest. So many years as just white, silver, and purple, until fate claimed its due.
Until two petals became two babes, drawn together by a string of silver fate and cursed with the shadow of their blood.
Byakuya, stranded in the darkness of the void, was the one who came to Sesshomaru in his dreams and told him of his unnatural twins. He was the one who laughed and laughed, and wondered aloud if Naraku had slithered his way out of death after all.
But when Sesshomaru found them to see for himself, he found the daughters of the wind. Black haired, red eyed, and pale skinned between them both. Screaming, too, like Kagura often had.
So he didn't kill them. That would be someone else's task. But he worried and ruminated and wondered. He let Byakuya steal Setsuna's dreams long after Towa had disappeared—sheltering her away from a part of herself that was better left sealed, just in case.
And he didn't share this with a single soul.
What he did do was stand aside as he watched Kirinmaru, weak and enraged, cut down his teenaged daughter with the fatal blow. He listened to Towa scream. He watched Moroha, so much like her father and his father before him, become enraged.
The Lord of the West, the wielder of the blade of life and death, watched and waited to see how death would greet his daughter.
Tenseiga was laughing at him.
Because it was with no delay that Setsuna's eyes opened—that her body jerked and cracked in a way that a living corpse did, reorganizing itself back into place as she staggered back to her feet. Crimson blood spilled down her chest.
Kirinmaru struck again, startled but unphased, burying his blade through her chest. Sesshomaru moved only to grab Towa by her shoulder so they could watch Setsuna die again, uninterrupted. She hung lifeless on his blade, glinting between her shoulderblades with drops of ruby red.
Yet still she stood, gasping, when he withdrew his weapon from her. Red blood turned purple and Sesshomaru grimaced against the smell.
Kirinmaru continued his assault. Towa was trying to pry his fingers off her shoulder to save her sister, to stop the massacre, but Sesshomaru had to know.
Was this only Kagura's doing? Or was it something more? Something worse?
When Moroha leapt to action, a wind knocked her clear on her side and slammed her against a rock.
So Kagura was watching, too. Wondering. Fearing. Hoping. Free and helpless, forced only to witness.
Off came Setsuna's hand, only to grow back again. In went a blade through her body; an impalement, a cut, a slice, a stab—all stitched together by black and purple blood. A leg lost, a leg regrown. A face slashed and then healed. All this, met without resistance because she was in shock.
Until she wasn't anymore. Until she could speak again and two voices came out of her mouth, a spider's scar spreading across her bare, tattered back like lightning.
"...Are you done?" asked a girl and the echo of her grandfather. Sesshomaru's stomach pitted and the wind wailed.
Kirinmaru stood in the face of the remnants of the only man Sesshomaru ever considered a threat and scoffed. Like a fool. But perhaps that was just to hide the dread.
"What are you, child?" he asked.
And Setsuna, in her fashion, did not answer.
She attacked and the Eastern Sun fled.

So many people are absolutely trashing Yashahime. For various reasons. Like yes, Rin and Sesshomaru being a thing is is, like, SUPER cringe, cause she was his ward as a child, but the sessrin shippers have their vindication. The twins are great, but it would have made more sense for Rin to be an older sister figure, not their mother. Her age, and the timeline being wonky and all, that’s to the blame of Sunrise. Takahashi literally only designed the characters, and had no control over the story.
But I’m not here for SessRin.
I’m here for InuKag.
I’m here for Moroha, badass Beniyasha daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome. I’m here to see this absolutely feral child, who was literally raised by wolves (thank you Koga), be so much like her parents and not even know. I’m here for Inuyasha being THE MOST doting father, and Kagome putting on her skepticals, then WEEPING at finally holding her daughter again after 14 years. I’m here for the deep, emotional release of Moroha finally having her Parents, who love her, and never stopped trying to find a way back to her. I’m here for the beautiful family dynamic I KNEW would be the case, because with how much of a softie Inuyasha really is, and how loving Kagome is, there’s no way they wouldn’t be the most amazing parents. I could watch a straight up hour every day of Moroha being her father’s daughter, and sleeping on his lap. Can you IMAGINE how much relief she felt, and how relaxed she had to be to fall asleep on someone she’s known all her life, who has been a practical stranger? And note, it wasn’t her mom’s lap, it was her Dad’s. Because there’s such a kinship there. They’re both partial demons. They’re both DOGS. They’re both burdened with the acts and battles of their parents (and grandparents in Moroha’s case) affecting their lives, and not knowing how to deal with it all except “punch it real hard”.
Yashahime has its problems for sure, but I’m one of those people who looks through the garbage to see the gold. I was so excited when the show got announced, and I’m so ready to watch how it progresses. I hope they don’t draw it out now that we’ve got the band back together, and everything gets tied up with a bow after the grim comet is taken care of. I hope that somehow Akuru’s pinwheel gets fixed, allowing the dog clan to pass through at will, and Kagome can see her family again.
I hope that as the final battle, we see Inuyasha and Co., with Sesshomaru, and the offspring, all working together in a lineup of badassery and awesomeness to defeat The Grim Comet and Kirinmaru. AND, I want Rion to deal the final blow, not Towa. I want Rion to have HER vindication, and her victory against her father, who literally held her spirit prisoner for half a century. And I want Towa to be the one she goes to when she inevitably starts crying over what simply had to be done. I DONT want Riku and Towa to end up together, but I think that’s what they’re hinting at.
TLDR: Yashahime has its problems, but I’m ignoring them because InuKag parents is what I’ve always wanted.

Reasons why Moroha is so fascinating:
1) She is so smart and knows about so much lore...(Just like her mama) Hell, she knows more about Sesshomaru than his daughters do.
2) She is both a priestess and a demon!!! How incredible is that??
3) She has incredible spiritual powers of which a priestess AND a monk would use: putting up barriers with sacred sutras, loosing an innumerable amount of sacred arrows wITHOUT GAPS, can use purification salt, and can also use inanimate objects in place of her sacred arrows (that are still engulfed with her spiritual energy!!)
4) She has amazing demonic powers; from her papa!! Her Kurikaramaru is a badass dragon sword; she attacks with Crimson Dragon Wave AND Crimson Backlash Wave...an ability that was originally mastered by Inuyasha and Toga. She also uses a rouge that enables her to enhance the yokai in her, she attacks with Blades of Blood and Iron Reaver Soul Stealer as Beniyasha.
5) We don’t know what percentage of demon she turns into when she’s Beniyasha... 50% demon? 70%? We know that her father went 100% when he transformed
6) Her very existence as a SHIHANYO primarily is so rare!
7) Although she is more priestess than demon, she does not appear to know (or perhaps hasn’t unlocked) the ability to purify herself when she goes too feral as Beniyasha?
8) Her blood is closest to the blood of her grandfather, Toga! That can be explained through the fact that Inuyasha inherited more from his father than his brother. (Tetsusaiga, compassion for humans, etc)
9) Kagome had sealed Moroha’s rouge, out of fear for her safety when she turns Beniyasha. I wonder what she’d think if she heard about how her father had a hard time controlling his full demon form.
10) Moroha seems to be coherent as she turns into Beniyasha (save for ep 16). She recognizes friend from foe.
11) She has demonic features that her cousins don’t have in their normal state; claws and fangs.
12) Her name means “double edged”. That is in reference to the fact that her parents are from different eras and they both have different powers.
13) Last but not least: SHE’S THE MOST PERFECT INUKAG BABY. 🥺🥺🥺🥺 She’s literally the best of both worlds! She looks and acts exactly like them.
