something that gets on my nerves a fair bit is christians who are fine with not believing in seven day creation because of context and genre and language but are unable to extend that same courtesy to women and queer people in the church. i am of course biased as a queer woman in the church, but this is my post and thus my perspective.

i think it’s just a bit… mean? to prove that you are capable of reading the Bible in context and do research, but hurt those who do the same thing about a different issue. because creation affects you; it’s a major part of how you see and understand the world, and it’s a hard thing to deal with when you can see the science and see that the Bible isn’t actually that strict on it, but traditionalists maintain the belief that specifically 7 day creation is the only way to be a christian. it’s directly applicable to your life and experiences.

but if you’re a straight, or a (amab) man, or both, why would women in the church apply to you? why would queerness apply to you? why not just parrot what you’ve heard growing up, without researching it for yourself or seeking other perspectives, because it’s not your lived experience?

this isn’t to say that by doing The Research two people can’t come to different conclusions, or that research is infallible. it’s not. but it hurts when people only care about things that affect them, or they know affects the people closest to them. it hurts that people shut down what isn’t their interpretation of the Bible when they’ve only been taught one. when people consider others unbiblical because of what they know.

So, I recently acquired a copy of Blue Diamond, which collects issues 7-16 of the New52 Blue Beetle 2011(?) run, and there is some nice lore.

Scarab hosts have lengthened life-spans, especially considering Sky Witness was a full grown (middle? aged) adult at time of bonding with Khaji Da.

Also, not shown but still of interest, Khaji Da + Sky Witness are the inspiration for “the cruel god, Quetzalcoatl”, due to Sky Witness, a Mayan Priest having near-single-handedly chased the people who would become the Aztec Empire out of Mayan lands using the Scarab’s power. (Also, the armor looked very very different on Sky Witness than it does for any other Scarab Warrior?)

Long term bonding results in scarab technology staying, even after the scarab leaves, although this may be affected by how hastily Khaji Da left him. (Sky Witness [SW] got obsessed and possessive over Khaji Da, [guy calls it his love and was pissed about Jaime, like *yikes*], realized that the armor couldn’t extend his life anymore, so he went into a pyramid, and blew it up so as to entomb himself and the scarab inside of it and prevent the scarab from taking another host. Khaji Da immediately detached in a semi-successful attempt to flee.)

Scarabs change their host’s dna, adding some of their own.

In that case, I’ll change my statement about the scarab mimicking genetic markers on native cells to avoid an immune response, and instead state that the scarab inserts its own dna into the native strand of dna that codes for those markers, as well as tampering with the immune system during the adjustment period, so as to avoid the body responding to its own modified cells, as well as Khaji Da.

Hi...soo this is me talking abt the current Dragon Tears that I obtained. Yesterday I got Dragon tear #5 and today I managed to get #6 and #7 and...yeah. I was originally planning to hold on my thoughts until I completed the Gerudo Region but what I saw in those memories I have things to say and idk how long it would take me to complete it so I'm starting with the dragon tear memories. (also sadly no in-game/cutscene screenshots this time around cause I kept forgetting and didn't took any </3)

So Tear #5 we got more to "know" abt Ganondorf. Where he apologizes abt what he did in Tear #4 to Rauru and Sonia. And I think I'm just going to share what I said last night abt it

Sooo I wasn't expecting this type of writting with Ganondorf. I obviously sound very emotional in these messages cause I was heading straight to sleep after I got the cutscene, I don't think totk Ganondorf is worse than oot Ganondorf. I think he's a different kind of badly written meanwhile with OoT I can cut him some slack where he's technically the first Ganondorf from an old console game yada yada. Also worldbuild of Zonai?? No? Ganondorf is just gonna casually throw that dialogue that Zonai were once gods or smth like that and never mention it again ok. And like I said in those messages I think what Ganondorf said abt Rauru marrying Sonia was so ughhhhhhhhhh like really? We're gonna make him racist cause you couldn't add depth to a villain really? And his motives abt wanting to become king is just...that he has no motives he has no reason on why he wants to do it just cause he's EVILLLL and he has EVILLL intentions OOOOOOOOOOO like fuck off. How is it possible that nintendo was able to give him depth in Wind Waker and then water down his character to "ummm cringe that YOU as a Zonai married a Hylian Woman you're a beta 🤓" Nintendo says, "we don't want people to like him or find him interesting he's the bad guy! make him say something racist and give him no clear motive on why he wants to do what he wants to do he's EVILLL you're not supposed to root for him!!"

anyways to add a glimpse of hope Tear #6 came clutch w Sonia and Rauru. I loved the dynamic they both have with Zelda they're like parents to her...wah and I simply adored how Sonia mentions Link like a mother asking for who's that cute boy you've been talking to? and Rauru being so curious to meet him. This memory was so cute I would love to wish blissful of this family living happily.

Final memory I currently got is Tear #7 and ohhhhh this is the one that just drained me.

So Sonia dies, I was honestly like surprised or shocked idk I was not expecting it good ol gotcha moment. and YES I SAW GANONDORF'S NASTY SMILE THAT ACTUALLY FREAKED ME OUT LIKE EW

AND I was sad that we're not going to see Sonia anymore rlly loved her I was hoping for more of her as a character. But yeah I was in shambles when that cutscene happened, like once I got the cutscene I just closed the game cause I just wanted to process what happened.

And that is all I have, sorry if I sound more pessimistic and negative this time around. Just realizing where they are going with Ganondorf just put me into the 10 stages of grief. Looking forward more to the story and the characters just not Ganondorf

This is a peice that took me like 6 months to make. It is my phone background and it is about the Magnus Archives I love this goofy spooky podcast. It wriggled it's way into my head like Jane Prentiss's wasp Larva. If you don't know about the podcast it's centered around a world where fears are basically gods? Kind of? It's a bit hard to explain but a character says that it's like a color wheel, each fear it's own color but able to mix and mingle. I would recommend listening to it but look up some trigger warnings because it dives into like EVERY kind of fear. However it's a wonderful narrative with some really bittersweet representation and a sequel currently in the making!

I think ochako is one of the most under utilised and underrated characters. I'm not a fan of her character (no, i DONT hate her). She had so much of potential amd her fight with BK just proved she's more than a pretty face. I'm fully aware of the fact that this show is oversaturated with characters. But let's not forget that she is the main female lead of the show. My biggest issue with her is that she didn't get to do a god damn thing in the Stain arc. She joined the academy with the sole intention of making money, and that's exactly what Stain hates about the hero society. Their monetary outlook. She could have been a part of the arc, the build up was there. She could have shown Stain that yes, while there are heroes who are there solely for the financial gains, that doesn't make them bad people. She all she wanted was to help her family get out of the poor financial situation they were in. Instead, she gets the typical shonen lead heroine treatment- being the love interest and whose sole purpose in life is to be a satellite character to the male lead of the show.

All her effort in the UA sports festival to do her best against Bk, all the desires to make good income as a hero to help her family financially, devolved into a girl who becomes a blushing mess infront of her love interest.

They did her so dirty. She was one of the few female shonen characters who felt like she could be someone in life without having anything to do with matters of the heart.

Also, notice how it's other characters around her who enforce her this whole Deku crush on her. Mina, toga and Aoyama to name a few. These are the characters who constantly remind her of her feelings for deku, thus pushing her further and further away from the plot relevancy.

I find this very annoying and makes me sick to think that a girl with tremendous potential is now relegated to the role of a girl hopelessly in love.

One last question: So many people think she's a terrible person for wanting to make money. I'm like, what? Are you serious? (If you want me to give further explanations I will) but it's the most human and realistic thing to do when you're stuck in a financial rut.

First and foremost, I still love Ochako. But I can’t ignore what’s happened to her throughout the series.

Honestly, it’s been ages since I’ve had that exact thought about Ochako and Stain situation! While he had a valid point (that wasn’t further explored, HORIKOSHI) about there being heroes that didn’t have the EXACT same mentality as All Might, her duality of wanting to provide enough money to support her family all the while having the desire to save others for the sake of saving others would be honestly a culture shock to Stain. (Or he may go further into denial, it’s actually hard to say. Guy had a few screws loose.)

But it HONESTLY would have been interesting seeing these two interact! And not to replace anyone the Hosu trio! It honestly would have been cool seeing her trying to use her new Gunhead Martial Arts (though she probably would have been focused on saving Iida as Izuku and Shoto took on the role of the main fighters, but Stain could have also tried to go after them and Uraraka would attempt to hold her own against him.) And we would have had MOST of the Dekusquad there! (Asui had her own internship.) Hiw great would it have been seeing the Dekusquad fighting together! And Ochako going feral protecting Iida!

Yeah, she happened to be more focused only about her crush with Izuku as time went on, which made a lot of her early traits and accomplishments kinda fade away and be forgotten. But for the record, and I still stand by this. A girl having a crush on someone DOESN’T cheapen her in my opinion. It’s something that happens to many teenagers. And some of their interactions I think are handled well, like them talking about wanting to save their respective villains. But other times, yeah, it felt a bit excessive that Horikoshi had to stop and say, “Hey! Hey! Do you remember Ochako has a crush on Izuku?!?” I honestly was looking forward to seeing how she acted after she vowed to put her feelings aside during the provisional license exam. But…Hori just continued to drill it into our faces.

As for the biggest perpetrator of making Ochako only about Izuku, I lay on Toga’s feet. Mina, yeah, she brings up the crush as well, but it’s done more in good fun I feel. And I think Aoyama has done that once. (Now that I think about it, it’s kind of random how he suddenly knew about her crush. He never does it again.)

But Toga? Horikoshi could have used her for something else to make her relevant, but the ONLY thing she had connected to Ochako is their shared crush on Izuku. Others say theirs other themes between them, but I’m sorry. I don’t see it, or believe that it was handled effectively. Ochako had more than just a crush. Like you mentioned, her want to provide for her family. Her fighting spirit and prowess that she showed against Bakugou. She had things that could have been fleshed out more.

Toga was a wha-wha girl that embraced being a remorseless villain and happened to be crushing on the same guy Ochako was crushing on. That’s it. There’s nothing else really about Toga. And she became to Ochako what Bakugou became to Izuku: a detriment to her character and preventing her from becoming something MORE. (Sorry but not really if I sound cynical about Toga. I just got REALLY tired being demanded to care about her. Like some OTHER blonde.)

Speaking of which, your last question? I also never understood this. I get it for a quick joke and stuff like that. Hahaha. But when people were SERIOUS about holding that over Ochako’s head? I was like, “Did you not hear her entire motivation?!?” I was dumbfounded how people could possibly come to that conclusion.

I find it ESPECIALLY interesting NO ONE brings up that BAKUGOU also had the desire to be a hero for money,JUST TO BE RICH AND FAMOUS! But no, shit on Ochako for wanting to take care of her family! Filthy hypocrites. I honestly wish Horikoshi did a better job balancing both her looking out for heroes as well as wanting to have a good paying job for her family. I think both are completely character of her.

I know I've sent you enough asks about Poppy and Kingston... But now I've been thinking about their trip to Australia and now I HAVE to send you my thoughts on them in the Outback XD

Of course as usual, you don't have to answer right away, and whether these are true on Kingstons end is up to you ^^ and if you have any thoughts on this, I'd love to hear them!!!

First things first. The language/slang barrier. Can you inagine??? XD I did not confirm if your guys language was still the same around the 40's, but still!!! Like-

Kingston: *sees Poppy packing shoes that probably aren't the best for the Australian environment* Yeah, we're gonna get you some thongs, love.

Poppy: ... Honey, we're going to meet your parents??

I know that by then they've more than likely cleared some things up about their languages, but still, this was too hilarious for me not to include XD besides, hearing your boyfriend talk about bringing thongs to his parents' house would factory reset any American I bet XD

Poppy just- not at all being prepared for the Bush XD but also loving it!! She's not used to not having the sounds of the bustling yet dangerous city outside her window at night, but she definitely appreciates the lack of it. Having neighbors being literal yards apart and not having to worry about walking too loudly for people below you, etc. Of course Poppy still minds her manners, but it's very jarring and relieving for her out here ^^

Of course, Poppy on the farm. If Kingston was raised here, he can introduce Pops to the animals!!! And just in general, assure her woth the Australian wildlife... All in all, it's a very surprising culture shock for her, but she loves it all the same and would love to move somewhere outside of the city with Kingston someday ^^

I am in the beginning of Act 3 and when I tell you that Feng is just hardcore STARING at Wyll for letting a god damn child into their camp before she could even get a word in...

She cares him, but he absolutely got yelled at in their tent that night, esp bc Feng is a Durge and if you've played the route (I'm doing my best to not go too in detail just cause it's such an amazing story as a Durge), they JUST had a conversation about how Feng can barely control herself.

S5 Act III Finale Trailer Relisten

So basically, act I and II ended with Jon and Martin finding a survivor of the Archives crew - I don't count Daisy cause she was already lost :(  Act I ended with them finding Basira. Act II ended with them finding Georgie and Melanie. (So, just in general before I get into the trailer.)

ARUN: "You know the path that they walk. No harm can come to them." God, this Arun character drives me up the walls! I do feel Martin so much when they clash... Or Jon, though Arun seems to be more intimidated by him.

I've wondered about Georgie and Melanie knowing about Jon being in town in my post for MAG 189. So at least there seems to be an audible “uproar”.  More chattering? More movement perhaps? Faster movement?

LAVERNE: "Not just up there…" ARUN: "Laverne?" And with this one we have heard the names of each character (who got one)! When Arun is done with the poem, Laverne says "Thank you, Arun. That was lovely." And when Celia only hums about that statement, Arun asks "E-Everything alright, Celia?"

This was worse than the familiarity, worse than the music, colours, crows, hell it was worse than Chat or when he saw blood.

Those exact words had been spoken by Phil on that day and it pulled the borrower into the strongest flashback he had ever known

This was the memory of his banishment.

Soo i think I'm going to have Techno interact with each member of sbi as separate chapters for everyone, and then at one point when they're all together Techno breaks down saying he still doesn't remember and that they're trying to force him into being someone he's not, which is only making it and the flashbacks so much worse. The chapter after this would be the reason of his banishment, and then I'm still not sure exactly how it will end. Maybe a confrontation against DreamXD, since even though he's the one who framed Techno, nobody could prove it was him, until Techno returned, except his memory was gone. If you want I could explain more about the crime and the world and other characters later cause I'm in the car on the way to see a friend rn, so can't talk much atm.

and oh yessssssssssss this sounds so good! Individual chapters sounds like a good call and I like that. Gives more techno content :3 we're gonna get em, bedrock and twins duo content!!!!!!

There are so many opportunities to have like triggers that que flashbacks and can have Techno panicking!

And I love where you plan to go with this. rather than him accepting that he was a god and becoming one again he just feels that isn't him anymore and the rest of sbi have to accept that!

I think it would be really perfect if you had maybe Phil go to Techno and say "how about we start over?" and they just restart the friendship because this shows phil accepts he's not getting the old techno back.

And I think if it all just led up to Techno regaining more of his memories to the point he can prove what happened and get XD banished would be good.

You can go from there and have it kind of a loose ends story where they don't know what's instore but Techno has new friends and everyone is willing to at least try again. Leave the future undetermined <3
