NOLPATS BURNER ACCOUNT
SO HERE IS THE TEA AND BREAKDOWN ON NOLANS ALLEGED TWITTER BURNER (I also want to apologise for the initial hostile reply to the anon that sent it in I was just taken back cause there weren't upfront receipts).
If you’re wondering how this alleged account was figured out, an anon said someone tweeted about it and decided to look into it... and then now we are here...
SO HERE WE GO!
His FIRST account that went under @ gollpatter the account got suspended (He tweets about it on his second account, but you’re still able to see everything).
So now the account he is using the new one is @ shottergallas.
(So just remember there are two accounts. I know some can get confused lol).
WARNING: I know people are going to be running up the accounts anyways but will say just a heads up you will be finding shit that you don’t like mentioning SA and misogynistic comments, some of the comments are towards the incident of WJC 2018. (If I’m right it’s brought up on @ gollpatter)
Now we may all be here like okay… how do we know or assume it's actually him??? Here is my personal observation
If you look at the following on the first account @ GOLLPATTER. You can see that there are about 4+ people on there that he follows that are obviously his friends and has Steinbach Manitoba in the bio. Some of the content and influencers he follows or interacts with on there also align with his recent or past followings/likes/engagements on Instagram from celebs, influencers, sport hosts and even onlyfangirls (I’ll even get specific if I have to) . His interests are evidently displayed throughout his account... things like MMA, golf, hockey, Joe Rogan, Theo Von and other typical guy shit, but as I said if you followed up on him or paid attention to his Instagram activity it adds up.
(Screenshot of his followings the only thing is they don't follow back)
Tumblr media
An Anon that initially sent me the sub on why she thought or had her own conclusions to why she thought it was him which I’ll be copying and pasting the sub down below and adding the links to the info she provided! To make everyone’s lives easier.
here’s the account introducing himself as goll patt: (X)
here’s the account calling jets/ava pond hockey last night: (X)
here’s that account excited about nolan’s friends ‘coggie’ return to the ‘national’ 6 days ago: (X)
and the related headline where Dylan Coghlan, Nolan’s former teammate returned to the NHL from the AHL:  (X)
here’s that account being called pat by its friends in the reply of previous tweet: (X)
account being call pats/patty by friends:  (X)
same account agreeing with hate on the vegas golden knights as a franchise, praising nic hauge and his wife:  (X)
The hockey talk on the account that pop up usually I noticed has pertained to Vegas and the Flyers (some slight shady tweets mostly but nothing over the top) Maybe just some coincidence but I mean hey… we all know what teams he’s played for. Plus there are some Travis Konency mentions on there as well…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So “his” account interacts with the same 2-4 twitter accounts and these accounts tend to tag him in post about Nolpats which I found a bit ironic…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So the last to this which I thought was another eyebrow raiser, was another burner account that has some mutuals but isn't entirely active. Also tagged his account in a post regarding a Tik Tok. The context of the Tiktok was how most likely pro athletes do see the things you post online about them.
Tumblr media
So would like to end this off with reminding you that this ALLEGED and there’s no real confirmation it’s him. You’re able to form your own opinion and perspective if you decide to look through and analyse the accounts yourself. I could go on more on some other details, but decided to just touch up on the things that stood out to me. I also was limited to adding content like photos and videos.

Urban Wyatt x Reader : TOO LATE TO SAY SORRY
A/N : I’m not a writer, I don’t write fics, I’m no where near as talented as everyone on here, so please be nice, feedback is always welcomed 🤭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’ve been dating Urban for three years off and on, your relationship was never solid but there wasn’t any other guy who truly made you happier than him, you could be yourself with him and him only. You honestly believed after everything you both been through, you were finally on the right path, but you couldn’t have been more wrong.
Stassi, who has been a huge problem in your relationship in the past, has once again stirred up unnecessary drama, and your boyfriend can’t seem to realize it.
“What’s the issue with me being friends with her? You don’t hear me say shit to you about that dude you’re still making music with.” Urban yells, slamming the door as he follows you into your bedroom.
You scoff “The difference is, he has never made a move on me. Stassi has been sending us both messages, she sends you nudes and flirty texts, she sends me the screenshots questioning me if I’m sure you’re mine. You know what she’s after, but you don’t see a problem with that.”
He rolls his eyes “You’re too blind to realize when a guy wants in your pants. By the way, I haven’t entertained her nonsense, so just drop it”
“Pot calling the kettle then, because you’re too blind or too dumb to accept the fact that Stassi has been wanting to break us up since the start. She’s been doing too much and I don’t understand how you still keep her around.” You tell him. Seriously, how can he not see that the bitch is in the wrong.
“I’ve known her since before you and I got together, do you expect me to drop every female friend just to make your silly insecurities go away? That sounds like a you problem, not mine.” He says laying down on the bed.
You whip your head so fast to glare at him “They’re not insecurities asshole, news flash I knew you were a whore when we met. You’re gaslighting me so hard right now. How is getting nudes not crossing the line, how do you not see where that’s wrong?”
“I didn’t reply did I? You saw the messages, I haven’t replied to anything she’s send, not after the whole video thing that happened on Instagram.”
You roll your eyes “And that’s supposed to make it better? Urban look at me and tell me straight up, if a guy were to send me nudes, and I would open them, tell me you wouldn’t get mad and feel some type of way. If you say no, then you’re a liar. You get mad when I’m too nice to a waiter”
“I see what you mean, yes I would get mad. But I trust you, and if I would see that you weren’t replying to him, then I wouldn’t trip about it as much like you are. Please just drop it,
“You will never see the issue, not when it involves her.” You say
He sighs “Mami, please just let it go, she means nothing.” He tries to hold your hand but you push it away and walk into the the bathroom to take a shower so it can help you cool off.
After your long shower, you walk back into the bedroom and notice Urban is nowhere to be found.
You take a deep breath in hopes the argument you both had was long gone and forgotten, at least for tonight. All you wanted to do was lay up in bed, watch Sons of Anarchy and order some tacos, But all that was thrown out the window the minute you both walked into Jack’s house and overheard Sunni telling the boys that your boyfriend keeps getting nudes from the girl you can’t stand.
You throw on one of Urban’s shirts and go look for him in the living room.
“I’m telling you, stop sending me shit on my actual account and my phone, she’s seen that. I told you to send them on the other account I made.” You hear him tell someone on the phone.
He nods his head “Yes Stass, I’ll see you later tonight. Ok, love you, bye.”
He turns around and the look on his face is shocked. You notice the color has drained from his face “Baby, Y/N let me explain.”
You shake your head “Get out.” you don’t know how your voice can sound so calm after what you overheard.
You look up at him and feel the tears going down your cheeks “You’re sleeping with her, you just told her you love her. You played me for years. Anyone but her, fuck man, you really made me think I was going crazy. Get out, loose my number. Never again Urban, do you hear me? Never again.” You walk away and leave him there standing.

How to archive Twitter accounts before they get deleted for inactivity
What is happening to inactive accounts on Twitter?
Twitter is a social media site that started in 2006. 450 million people use it to make tiny blog posts, “tweets.” On May 8, 2023, the site's current CEO tweeted, "We’re purging accounts that have had no activity at all for several years, so you will probably see follower count drop" (archive). The purge is already deleting records of historic events and of people who died. We must hurry to preserve copies of them.
When those accounts are deleted, I can finally get the username I always wanted, right?
No. The CEO tweeted that this would "free up abandoned handles" (archive), but Twitter's policy still says (since 2008) that they will only give away a handle to someone if it is their registered trademark.
Will Twitter itself save an archive of inactive accounts?
The CEO tweeted, "The accounts will be archived" (Archive of that tweet). That’s the only official mention of it. There is still no sign of those archives, and no word about where those archives will be. We assume that "the accounts will be archived" only if we archive them for ourselves. Even if Twitter eventually reveals it has its own archive somewhere, we would still be wise to save other archives off-site. We can't assume that Twitter will always be around.
What happens to accounts that are inactive because the user died?
A social media account is like a collection of old postcards and photos in a memory album. For artists, it may be the last gallery of their life’s work. Facebook, Instagram, Livejournal, and Furaffinity give a memorial status to an account after its user has died, so it won’t get deleted. Not Twitter: it lets family members delete the account of a deceased person, but it has never guarded such accounts against being deleted for inactivity. That can only be prevented by having someone regularly sign in. Moderators will not help anyone sign into an account, regardless of their relationship to the deceased.
What does Twitter see as an inactive account?
The CEO changed Twitter’s inactive account policy so you must log into your account at least once every thirty days to keep it from being inactive. It used to say six months. You can’t tell whether someone else’s account is inactive if they don’t have recent posts.
Does this mean Twitter will delete accounts that have been inactive for only thirty days?
It’s unclear. The policy also says "Accounts may be permanently removed due to prolonged inactivity." It has always said that. And how long is “prolonged inactivity”? It doesn’t say.
Suppose if the policy now means that an account may be deleted if it’s been inactive for one month, or several months. That would tend to delete the accounts of organizations like NPR and PBS that chose to stop using Twitter, people who take a break from social media, people who couldn't sign in while suffering from a serious illness or accident, and active duty military on deployment.
The CEO's tweet said they are purging accounts that have been inactive "for several years" (archive). He started threatening to give away NPR's handle when they had been inactive for less than a month, though.
What does it look like when an account has been deleted for inactivity?
This tweet from May 8 shows a screenshot of an account that was deleted for inactivity after its user died (archive and context with proof). Nothing remains but a username and an error message. It says: "Account suspended. Twitter suspends accounts that violate the Twitter Rules." They look the same as accounts that moderators deleted for breaking rules. Twitter doesn’t show the date that an account was deleted or suspended.
What is the easiest way to archive a Twitter? How do I save one to the Wayback Machine?
The Internet Archive is a nonprofit organization that runs the Wayback Machine, which is a website for saving a copy of other websites. If any website goes away, but an old copy of it has been saved to the Wayback Machine, then anyone can still visit that old copy. You can ask the Wayback Machine to save a copy of a Twitter account. This is the easiest way. Go to this particular page of the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/save
In the text box, write https://twitter.com/ and then the username of the Twitter account that you want to save. For example, here is the format I used to save a copy of the account of Kohiyote, a furry fan and photographer who died in 2022: https://twitter.com/kohiyote If you write the address in this format, then a checkbox will appear. The box says, "Archive up to 3,200 most recent Tweets from this Twitter profile."
Tumblr media
[Image description: that screen in the Wayback Machine. A green arrow points at the checkbox mentioned. Description ends.]
Check that box. Hit save. The Wayback Machine will take care of the rest for you, during the next few hours or days.
We hope that the Internet Archive Wayback Machine will always exist. Unfortunately, their nonprofit is being sued, in the case of Hachette v. Internet Archive. You would be wise to donate to the Internet Archive to help keep them running, and to save another archive of the Twitter account to your own computer too.
How do I save an archive of a Twitter account to my computer? One that I can use offline, or that I can put up on my personal website for other people to see?
This next method has a few more steps, but you don't need to know how to write code or other advanced computer skills. You check some buttons in a program, and then it will automatically take care of saving an archive of the Twitter account for you. Thanks to Doppel Draconius for his many hours of work finding ways to make this method as efficient as possible.
You'll use HTTrack, which is free software for saving a copy of a web site to your own computer. Download HTTrack from here: http://httrack.com/ Open the program and tell it to start a new project.
Name the project the username of the account that you want to save. Click next.
In the drop-down menu for "action," choose "download web site."
In the box that says "web addresses," instead of the regular Twitter address, you're going to use a front-end for Twitter called Nitter. Many sites run their own instance of Nitter. If one of the Nitter sites is down, use a different one. You can find a list of them on GitHub.
In the web address box, put the address of the Nitter instance, and then the Twitter username. For example, if I choose to archive Kohiyote’s account through the Nitter.net instance, the format would be https://nitter.net/kohiyote
Then, below that box, click the button that says "Set options." This opens a preferences window that has several tabs on the top.
Click the "scan rules" tab. Copy and paste this into the text box:
-* +*nitter*.css +*nitter*.js -ad.doubleclick.net/* -mime:application/foobar +*nitter*.gif +*nitter*.jpg +*nitter*.jpeg +*nitter*.png +*nitter*.tif +*nitter*.bmp +*nitter*.mov +*nitter*.mpg +*nitter*.mpeg +*nitter*.avi +*nitter*.asf +*nitter*.mp3 +*nitter*.mp2 +*nitter*.rm +*nitter*.wav +*nitter*.vob +*nitter*.qt +*nitter*.vid +*nitter*.ac3 +*nitter*.wma +*nitter*.wmv +*nitter*USERNAME* +*nitter*/pic/* +*nitter*/media/*
When you’ve pasted that text, replace USERNAME with the Twitter handle that you're working on. These rules make HTTrack download only what is part of the account that you meant.
After that, here are the settings that you should do in the other relevant tabs:
Tumblr media
[Image description: four screenshots of four different tabs in the preferences window.
The first screenshot is the “Limits” tab. Set “maximum mirroring depth” to 9999999999. Set “maximum external depth” to zero. This is so that only links with the username would be scraped. Set “max transfer rate” to 9999999999. Set “max connections / seconds” to 1000. This is important! Otherwise it would be super slow. Set “maximum number of links” to 9999999999. This is so it won’t cut off too soon. The second screenshot is the “Flow control” tab. Set “number of connections” to 8. The third screenshot is the “Links” tab. Tick the checkbox that says “attempt to detect all links.” Tick the checkbox that says “get non-HTML files related to a link.” Optional: tick the checkbox that says “get HTML files first,” because you want to preserve text first before pictures or video. The fourth screenshot is the “Spider” tab. In the second drop-down menu, select “No robots.txt rules.” This is because there are no rules in an emergency data rescue. Wink.
Description ends.]
Then click okay, which closes the preference window. Click next. Then click finish. Now HTTrack will start downloading the Twitter profile in a way that looks very similar to how it was meant to look. It might take a few minutes or hours. It will save the most recent 3,200 tweets, with conversation threads and pictures.
Later, when the program says it's done, you should open the archived web site to verify that it worked correctly. When you click the index file, it should open in your web browser and look like a normal web site. The one difference is that the web address box should show that the files are in directories on your own computer. That means you’re browsing an offline copy. It should have saved more than just the first page of tweets. Click through until you find the oldest tweet it saved, and notice the date. When you click on a thread or a picture, they should open.
If all looks well, view the archived files themselves in their folder. The folder’s file size depends on how many pictures and videos it saved. So far, the smallest Twitter account we downloaded was eleven megabytes. The biggest was eleven gigabytes. You can send the folder to a friend. If you upload it to a personal website, other people can see it there as part of your site.
How come both of these methods only save the most recent 3,200 tweets? How do I save a complete archive of a Twitter account that has more than 3,200 tweets?
Twitter is designed to stop anyone from going further back, with some exceptions. There are ways to save a complete archive of an account that has 3,200+ tweets. I won’t tell those here, because we don’t want Twitter to shut off the possibility.
How do I save an archive of a protected Twitter account?
Protected Twitter accounts have a padlock icon next to their name. Only followers they approve can see their tweets, likes, and list of followers/following. These users don’t want their twitters to be public. You should respect their wishes. These accounts are as vulnerable to deletion as any other. I don't know any automated method to archive them.
I need help archiving Twitters... or I want to help. Who can I ask?
Contact me. My friends and I have been working hard to archive vulnerable accounts. Tell us usernames of such accounts. We write them in a spreadsheet, where we split up the work, and log what we’ve done.

instagram
It all started here. I woke up and looked at 'my' Discord server for the bloated tic of a fanfic (hey that rhymes, neurospicy two seconds!) I write with my partner SonaBeanSidhe, Aran Thranduil's Dining Hall. There hadn't been enough tea yet so the natural response was 'wth is this?' Well, THIS was going to Hoover my next two days and counting. Just visit the post, dear friends of the writing persuasion and you would see (I'll save you time because I'm nice this way) that there are many screenshots supporting just what the meme says: This Instagram OP knows a writer who found herself in a steaming pile of mess with the Google Docs TOS (which is really also the Google Drive TOS, making it somewhat difficult to locate said TOS. I'll save you more time. Here:
Tumblr media
This information comes from https://support.google.com/docs/answer/148505#zippy=%2Csexually-explicit-material So, it was the act of sharing the files, not having created or stored them that triggered what had happened. Okay, still not reassuring. In the meantime, I was concerned enough to post what had happened to r/FanFiction. Within minutes, my post had been frozen by the mods there. I can see their concern. I believe they had only seen the meme-like first screen of the Instagram post, and it does come off like a bad Snopes Fail. They asked me for more proof. The first thing I did was a search for previous instances of Google having frozen Drive accounts previously. They are limited, but they exist. The concern here had to do with the current lack of information as to why the action happened, and whether we who collectively authored and had shared Docs with explicit content were about to have our Drive accounts fall before the scythe of an overzealous AI rollout on the part of Google. Which led to the second part of this. My first response to the mods was as follows:
Tumblr media
A little while after I sent this, an update appeared on the Instagram OP's account (easy to find) so I added this:
Tumblr media
The salient point of the update was that the author had received restored access to her Drive, but NOT the Doc that had started the entire difficulty. I waited for a response. And waited, and waited. In the meantime, I had no means to add to, respond to, anything to my original post or defend myself against some fairly sharp initial criticisms leveled against me by individuals who clearly hadn't read anything beyond the initial meme. Special. While I understand a sub this large likely has a lot of messages to field, I also felt that given they managed to freeze my post in a matter of minutes, they were really taking their time responding. So I weighed in on Instagram with a message of support. If nothing else is taken away, please take this: Back up your files. It's easy to create an alt Google account; this other account will have its own Drive storage. Share your folders and files with yourself. If you don't already realize, in Docs under the File dropdown menu the third option is Make A Copy. If you have shared the original document 75 times, you won't have shared that copy at all. Consider backing up your works to Indie platforms like Get Hermit, Ellipsus and The Quill. There may be others. Your own external hard drive is also a very good idea. But wait, you ask. What about just using MS Word, or having copies as a PDF file in the Adobe cloud? Not so fast, my friend. Look at Microsoft and Adobe's TOS regarding sexually explicit content...you'll get an unpleasant surprise. I did. In the meantime, a third update came from the OP on Instagram shedding far more light as to what had likely gone wrong. She had shared the Doc with she guessed 18-20 people as beta readers. The belief is now that one of these persons actually turned her in to Google via their abuse form. To quote one of the commenters on that update: "I heard from an agent that Google will only do this to your account if someone reports it. Google isn’t scanning docs for explicit content (except maybe images), but yeah, for this to happen, someone had to report her document to Google." This felt like a relief...and yet is still packaged inside a cautionary tale. How many of us have shared by 'whoever has this link'? I have, or rather, I had. I revoked all such permissions to all large stories and folders in favor of my few trusted long-time friends and beta readers. The works are on AO3. I don't need those Docs links to be free floating all over the place, not after seeing what can happen. I was on vacation in England some years prior when I realized I had lost the ability to send out all outgoing Gmail. It took me several days to figure out what had gone wrong and nearly lost me my ability to receive Covid test results at a time when that was a travel necessity...almost disastrous. Fortunately I had multiple email accounts and could work around the problem. Which brings me to the last of this.
Tumblr media
While including the subreddit mod's responses here may seem retaliatory/petulant on my part...I'm at best miffed at their shortsightedness, maybe mildly insulted, mostly shaking my head at the fact that there is something to have been learned here that could have affected any one of us. No one was spreading misinformation. Something had indeed happened. The source of it had been unknown at the time of posting. Had they left my post alone I would have gladly redacted as it unfolded; the reason for placing it on that sub was not to create a giant stir but to let others know of the risk of this happening at all and to encourage backing up that which most writers invest a considerable amount of their emotional well-being; the safety of their written works. Yes, I'm neurodivergent. No, I don't always see the world as others do. No, I still don't think this difference allows the response to be interpreted as much other than a slight and working against the interests of authors (I'm on their side and last I checked, readers need the authors to have the things that are written in order to have the things to read. Just saying). Whatever, what really matters is, if you feel this is worth sharing, share, take away the important bits, and if someone out there just wants to write it up in 3 sentences so it isn't a tl;dr, do that too.
Have a Googly day, to all near and far, in these times in which we live...>.>

CPN : Web’s ins update 😎😎😎
today, 3/8 zan bo day, yibo updated his instagram account sharing a gift he got from ugg. a collaboration between ugg and his wardrobe staple brand - palace. this boy is really so predictable with what he shares tho, it’s either shoes, skateboard or moto gear. but i’m not complaining, as long as he posts for us international fans to see.
Tumblr media
the message on the note reads: Dear Yibo, presenting to you UGG X Palace global limited edition collaboration, letting fashion to be whenever and wherever for you to freely discover" - UGG China Team
I’m cackling cause turtles are rushing to instagram. not that they didn’t already with how XZ was updating on there for the past days. Is this the instagram era? lol.
Tumblr media
Tho I don’t think they will be too active there to the point that it would seem like they are promoting ig. It’s not like they can risk being seen as a personality who encourages their hoards of fans to access this site that they ( technically ) shouldn’t.
Anyway, let’s see the CPN bits that we noticed from this. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
1. The fact that WYB is suddenly posting on IG. I mean it’s still a brand post and he is their Asia-Pacific spokesperson. So maybe this is for him to reach a wider audience? but he can do that with Weibo or Oasis too. It’s just nice that his “personal post” shows up on IG when ZZ is active there too. Also knowing that ZZ’s overseas activities are over and he is preparing to go home soon— it’s like Bobo is trying to match him before he goes back and has to use Weibo/Oasis/Douyin again. Lol.
2. The trend of them posting two sets of everything. In pairs. This one has two boots. Go ahead and feel free to measure if it’s the same shoe size. Lol. Or the explanation may be he was given both since he is their spokesperson.
Adding more fuel to the “why” is this only being posted now is that this collab was teased late January. So why is this only being posted now? Maybe because this for their Spring 2023 release and Bobo can officially reveal it.
Tumblr media
But still. Why on IG? What’s so special about it? We were guessing that when he updated his profile picture, he will share some Hidden Blade content. Especially because of it’s success and release overseas. But he didn’t. So again. Why now?
3. WYB’s use of emoji, following ZZ on instagram. Same brain cell all around.
Tumblr media
4. The electric blue lightning bolts design is a nice touch and something we can connect to their affinity to the lightning symbol. ⚡️
Tumblr media
5. The act of showing off his shoes “xiezi” / xz / xiaozhan could be a clue that we will see them at an event together. Maybe this is WYB being the messenger of good news again. I’m with everyone in hoping they both go to the ever problematic weibo night on 3/25. Let’s see! 🙏🏼
sources: one & two
-END.
PS : Do not repost this CPN outside of tumblr without a credit to me and a link back to this post. Do not steal my words. Do not screenshot. In short, do not steal content that i made and claim as yours.

I KNOW! I was literally like the least thing they could have done was follow us 💀
Aaaaand I'm going on a rant now. People don't really view tumblr users the same way they do accounts on platforms they are active on themselves... I think over there they understand it's nice to see a notif come in and so they do the same for others, meanwhile tumblr is some other plane of existence where we do not require the same treatment and a post can sit on 2 reblogs but have 40K likes on someones instagram on your explore page (this actually happened to me)... and the amount of times I've seen a completely deepfried screenshotted post of mine that's been taken to twitter then to instagram over to a tiktok and then part of a youtube compilation post, one that would sit on less than 100 notes, one that got who knows how many interactions each step of that journey, and none of that response ever reaching me, while I made it. (not to mention the follow button is visible in the screenshot more often than not) Also. I'm out here writing posts first of all mainly for myself but in a way tailored to my bubble, tailored to you, to the people I see in my notifs. You're in the back of my mind when writing it, the fucking tiktok horde isn't. If someone grabs that and runs with it.. it's not meant for twitter or tiktok like I haven't written it in a way for that .. bubble.. to understand, it's for my tumblr friends who I know will have context. Like there's a baseline of understanding in this place that's not there on other platforms. And I try to spell some things out sometimes just in case it'll reach some new people, other times I'm just shitposting for my friends yk. So don't bring it somewhere it just brings up questions in a pool of people not capable of answering it without notifying the person who wrote it, leaving it up for interpretation out in a void of "WHAT" and "I-" and "HUH"'s like that's just a bit frustrating when it's your words yk. (ok that got sidetracked)
But to get back to the post in question, this might be where they got it from by the way.. i mean .. its.. nice to see the peoples reactions? 💀
Anyway to anyone taking screenshots of posts on here and taking it to other platforms: Just fucking interact with us. Ask Us If You Can Repost. Some people don't mind the reposting, others you're making very very uncomfortable. Because exposing the @ of someone's blog they consider their safe space to an audience they don't know is scary as fuck, especially because there's an anon ask option on this hellsite. Like the thing is you're possibly sending anon hate our way. EDIT: And this does not mean repost anyway but cut our @'s off because then you're cutting off the source and not crediting and that's even worse. I'm just saying some people don't want you to repost at all for this reason, please don't fucking repost without credit. Anyway the point is if you like a post enough to repost it, follow OP and reblog (that like button doesn't do shit. reblog.) the post on tumblr because that's a free happy serotonin boost for OP and the person you're reblogging from. Even if you have a tiny account and nobody will see it, OP does in their notifs and that makes them happy and that's the only thing that matters k. write your response in the rb tags if you want. If you do have a blog but it doesn't fit your content make a sideblog if you have to. Even if it's got 0 followers, on tumblr you can't see that, and it doesnt matter. All that matters is you give OP some interaction and make them happy, instead of .. this. A fking rant post before noon.

Kind of related to the situation, but I want to ask a serious question on something you mentioned, about making fake media look 100% authentic through clone apps and screenshoting to fuck up the metadata of the picture. It's scaring the hell out of me, have we really reached a point that there are ways to fake evidence and make it look real even if that evidence is tested by actual professionals? In other words, if the evidence can no longer be proven real or fake by computer pros, that all we have left are character witnesses? The sheer idea that someone could fake something about me on some app I am known to use and destroy my life just by using some app clone software they found on google is making me freak the fuck out!
Sorry if I'm not making sense, but thanks for all the info you post! Helped me calm down and look at the situation with a clearer mind
Well, so, I think the problem here is that you've forgotten a key element: evidence absolutely can still be proven real or fake, just not by people on twitter. An actual courtroom is different from a court of public opinion.
This is not new by any means. People have been able to pass off convincing fake information since information has existed as a concept. Since any method of documenting information has existed, there have been ways to fake those methods.
I've mentioned them before, but the Cottingley Fairies are the perfect example of this. It's a series of 5 photographs taken by two young girls, appearing to show the girls interacting with fairies in the 1910s-1920s. The photographs the girls took were extensively examined for any signs of alterations, and the girls were even given a camera with plates set up such that no alteration was possible. The images produced were examined by experts, and nobody was able to find any sign of editing or alteration to the photos.
How did they do it? Easy, the girls had cardboard cutouts made from a popular children's book. The photos were unaltered, but they were photos of cut outs. Not photos of real fairies. The girls were 9 and 16 and playing a prank for fun. They admitted to how they did it much later in life, and explained that they had been too embarrassed to admit that it was a prank at the time.
That evidence was both fake and undetectable by experts through examination of the photographs. Much like screenshots, screen recordings, etc, can also be fake in ways undetectable to experts. You set up an app clone, write whatever you want, then screen record that. The app clone is the cardboard fairy cutout. That's part of why I urge people to not leap to conclusions based on whether they think a photo or video is edited, rather than considering whether the underlying content has been altered.
However, here's the thing, this only holds up on social media. Once you actually get into a court of law, this no longer works. Because in a court, the actual company who has the data (ie, twitter, instagram, phone companies, etc) can be asked to provide logs of what actually occurred. And that's what actually happens. Nobody goes into court with a screen recording and gets to submit that as evidence without some method of authentication.
The issue at hand isn't that there's no way to know what is or isn't reality, the issue at hand is that people often aren't willing to take the time to authenticate information. Some people aren't willing to be skeptical of the things that they are told, and run with information before they've been able to verify it. They conflate an image or video being unaltered with the underlying information being unaltered. They then misrepresent this information to others in a vicious cycle of misinformation. It is a real and present issue, and it's not new.
Back in 1920, the photos of the fairies were published to mixed reactions. Some people believed wholeheartedly that they were real and empirical proof of fairies. A lot of people didn't. Some people pointed out possible issues, and got dismissed by believers. It was a topic of conversation for awhile, and then it died down. People believed what they wanted to believe for a long while, and the truth finally came out in the 1980s.
The difference between what happened back then and what happens today isn't a difference in how willing people are to believe misinformation or how easy it is to create misinformation, but rather a difference in how quickly misinformation can spread, and how much misinformation people are exposed to. That's what worries me.
I don't have a solution for this problem as a whole. But what I can say is all of us can do our part to evaluate sources of misinformation, be careful about what we spread and how we spread it, and do our best to provided corrections when we feel we are able. Deep breaths, question things in a responsible manner, and be ready to wait for the actual truth of a situation to come out.

⚠️Tw: gr//ming and manipulation⚠️
The fact that Sonia claims that I was harassing her with my call-out post as well as the fact that she'll go and pretend I "turned against her" because I suddenly"hated her for no reason" is so fucking funny (more below)
When we were friends it wasn't like that at all, I never hated her until I realized what she did to me and many people around her. In fact I was in shock when I found out
before I knew about the fucked up shit she did, before I knew about the gross stuff she put in her aus and before I found out she's a fucking gr//mer, when she wasn't, y'know, manipulating me and making me isolate from people and when she wasn't guilt tripping me for stuff I couldn't even control...
She was my friend (or so I thought)
I loved talking to her and I loved hearing about her aus, almost every day we'd talk and I'd listen to her talk about her latest works and her artwork and her ideas
Because a lot of her au concepts were Interesting and fun to learn about, she seemed like a nice person for the most part....
Until I found out about some of them including nasty stuff as well as just, finding out she's a horrible person in general
I was emotionally (platonically) attached to her, which was part of why I was in denial about her grooming me.
I never hated her until now. I considered her one of my closest friends until I found out the truth. So no. This is not something I'm fucking doing out of "hate" or "spite"
I know you can see this Sonia. I know you're stalking my tumblr.
The only thing I really did was not finish something for her for a trade, but that was because she was shit talking me and I called her out on it, I deleted what she made me from my entire phone (I took screenshots of me deleting them). She went on a hiatus for months as well and I had no way to contact her for more information (starting in June) until after September of this year(I like having people active for me to talk to just in case I need answers for something), it was halfway done, over 800 words and I gave what I had to her before I blocked her. She complained that it took her ten minutes to do sketches, but at the same time she told me to take as much time as I needed, and I told her that if I was working too slow she could rush me if needed.
In fact, that was the only reason I didn't block her immediately. I was still working on the rough draft of it (it was a really long one shot, more of a short story), I wanted to keep my end of the deal before cutting her off (even though she literally fucking gr//med me) but I found it even harder to complete, working on it began to disgust me. I wrote over ten pages in the rough draft, I wanted to make it special, and then I find out she hurt me and so many others. If it weren't for my friend blocking her and Sonia running to me to complain about it and guilt trip me, I wouldn't have been able to block her yet. I still would have been stuck working on the stupid thing.
Sonia is just a disgusting person in general, she may be gone from tumblr but it doesn't mean anything. She needs to be held accountable for her actions. She still has a platform on instagram, a privated account, because she's aware that she's been caught.
And yet, this isn't even the most disgusting thing she's done. But I'm not going to get into that yet. Not here. I still don't feel safe knowing Sonia is stalking me still (come to my face instead of just watching me you fucking weirdo)
All I can say is block and report Sonia, avoid her at all costs. Do not harass her, and PLEASE Don't harass her partner. At all. Leave her partner alone

Regarding the Dtblr, Let👏🏾Your👏🏾Voice👏🏾Be👏🏾Heard👏🏾 Rant if you gotta, your followers gotchu
My followers trying to encourage me to be mean on main 😂
This is gonna get long and very stream of thought so gonna add a read more for once. This is a rant so it's mostly just gonna be my annoyance at everything. And the meanest I'm likely to get on this blog.
Look... I really really dislike how some of the old blogs left, and how they are perpetuating a lot of misinformation, and frankly a misinterpretation of what has actually happened. I can get leaving, but stop acting as if anything has been fucking confirmed as real. Or that her word is more reliable than dreams when both of them have, frankly, fuck all to show us.
The most she has is that Dream and her have communicated before. And the way people talk about it makes it sound as if dream went out of his way to go find her and message her. When literally every Instagram dm is dry as fuck and NEVER initiated by him.
Then if we go with snapchats are real, what do we have? Only a few saved convos, no context behind any of them, and messages that could be interpreted a whole number of ways depending on what the context we're missing is. And you cannot tell me that if you were introduced to the messages by themselves with no context, you would even slightly jump to sexting or grooming. Hell, she had to show a seperate screenshot of one of the compliments, which might I remind everyone we were just criticising the validity of taking a picture of a screenshot with your phone.
What does it take for some people to fucking think for a second about what is being presented to us??? Instead of flying right off the handle and immediately condemning everyone that doesn't come to the same worse case conclusion as you???? "Oh we left so everyone else must have too or there too busy defending dream" like fuck off. There's more nuance to what's happening then you care to admit or look into because you don't want to confront the idea of dream in your head, good or bad, with the real life human being.
And THEN you get the fuckers who outright believe just anything they hear because why not. "Oh but he confirmed the flirty messages!" Actually that was one of the things he said an outright statement on! And it was that he didn't!!
Or the person who somehow added an extra person to the mix, and then just fully believed without any critical thought that Amanda was telling the truth about dream deleting evidence and that's why she cant show us the proof she definitely has :( or definitely doesn't because she went between having hard evidence and nothing at all so fucking quickly. (At the same time can people stop acting as if everything she says clears dreams name???? Like as much as she isn't doing herself any favours there's nothing here that definitely proves she's lying, just that what she's presenting us deserves scrutiny)
Or fucking everything to do with the techno mermorial.
there are people so fucking convinced that they've pretty much stated that it doesn't actually matter how it shakes down legally, cause clearly he can just hire better lawyers then her and buy her to be quiet :( completely misrepresenting what's actually happening and how a court case (or settlement, which also is not this big evil thing. Most things don't reach a court). Like don't be so fucking close minded that you'll shut out anything presented to you because he has more money so clearly he's just bought everyone off
And then when confronted with the fact that they overeactted and behaved horribly they say "well I'm not defending a potential abuser and clearly my thing isn't as bad as that but I'm sorry I guess :/ "
Or the talk on "iT's NoT tHe AgE gAp It'S tHe PoWeR iMbAlAnCe" like okay then hope you were real fucking critical of purpled dating a fan then. Or is not actually about the power imbalance? Because power imbalances is not a fan and a cc talking??? Like if it's the potential age gap then just say it!!!!! Stop just saying power imbalance as if it's at all at play here from what we've been shown.
And like half of them won't even look into it more. That this is the reality they've settled with because it's easier to deal with posting breakup lyrics, and posts about how you can't trust men then to confront the fact that this isnt a black and white issue and at this point there is no hard line in the sand everyone must follow or else theyre a horrible person.
it is fine if you leave, it is fine if you think that messaging fans at all is bad (although maybe examine why you think that about this but for nothing else), or if you think that talking on snapchat is bad (which I really disagree with, but youre allowed your opinions), but don't act as if any more than that has been confirmed, or saying if you don't leave or if you remain neutral than you're clearly a bad person. Fuck off

Do you believe the stuff with the igotnfts girl?
[Long post ahead + this will be a post & delete]
Let me preface this by saying, no hate to this girl. To me, she seems very young. More likely than not she’s some young fan girl that likes the attention.
Now, that girl is playing y’all like spades, and (some of) y’all are eating it this shit up. All of her posts proving that she’s the side chick, don’t prove anything.
1. The text messages are seedy for 2 reasons:
A. Melo types in all lowercase letters, apart from when he’s yelling. Look through his Instagram & Twitter, he has his phone set to disable uppercase because even his ‘i’’s don’t get corrected to capital I’s. So off rip, the texts don’t make sense because why would he specifically go out of his way to use proper capitalization when ‘speaking’ to her? Further than that, why would he send texts, especially informal ones, with proper capitalization when for years he’s only typed in all lowercase across all other platforms?
B. Everything is scratched out, potential dates included. If she wants recognition as the side chick so bad, why cross out things that could help you link yourself to him? If you’re in Charlotte, show that he texted you on dates where he was also in the city.
Also, I have a STRONG feeling those crossed out messages are her asking a friend to fake a text to her so she can screenshot it. It’s not hard to fake a text, hell you can even text YOURSELF and delete what you don’t need. That’s what I do when I need to make a text thread when writing a story. It’s not far fetched to ask someone “hey text me this real quick”
2. The infamous Twitter recognition doesn’t mean that he knows her. He said (I’m paraphrasing here because the tweet is since deleted) “You’re only following 6 people and I’m one of them, I thought we were supposed to be buddies.” He’s not confirming that he knows this girl in any way. If he had said ‘I thought we were supposed to be buddies’ and left it at that, then you can start to question, but the fact that he emphasized that he was one of the 6 people she followed should tell y’all enough to know he meant “You don’t like me but you’re watching my every move?” He just said it in a nice/goofy way. The only reason you all think it was in good faith is because he used laughing emojis.
If something along the lines of “I thought we were cool” was said, then that would confirm at the very least, that they’ve had some kind of conversation.
3. Her posting flowers doesn’t mean they’re from Melo. There was no card with a message that we could interpret to be him. Hell, those might not even be her flowers, for all we know they could be a picture of flowers she took at somebodies funeral and had saved up. Now, if Ana had posted the same flowers, then maybe, maybe you could speculate. But even then that’s not much to grasp onto because again, most flower bouquets aren’t hard to find. Unless it’s one of those extravagant ones.
4. Her posting a picture of the Charlotte, don’t mean she in Charlotte. And before you all say “But the reverse imagine search—” reverse image searches don’t find anything if you take a screenshot from someone else’s Snapchat or Instagram story, it’s not difficult to find Charlotte natives on IG and take a picture from their page or story and pass it off as your own…which is what I’m assuming she did.
I tested it out. I took a screenshot from someone else’s snap, slapped it in reverse image search and surprise, surprise,
Tumblr media
Nothing 😱! And I did this with MULTIPLE.
Now even if that’s her picture and she is in Charlotte, from what I’ve gathered, she don’t know this man & she’s certainly not here for him. I believe she said that she was in the city (allegedly) anyways for her family members birthday, so if the pictures she posted are indeed hers, then that’s why she’s here.
Last things last, don’t believe anything until there is concrete proof. I could take a video in Melos garage this weekend, post it, and say some cryptic shit that’s more believable, and would be in the blogs by the next morning. So somebody posting a couple pictures don’t mean anything.
Unless somebody shows a video of them together, a FaceTime screenRECORDING, or a screenRECORDING of texts with a voice note from him, or some kind of solid evidence that it is him, then these folks are lying to y’all. Enjoy your weekend. 🫠

Ok. I'll bite.
Tumblr media
Me posting photos I did not personally take on my social media is not stealing. We ALL do that, YOU included. The fact that you can source where some of the photos have come from is literally proving your accusations wrong. I don't tamper with the sources.
My gifs are stolen because they're blurry?? The source material was blurry to begin with. These are old videos and to meet tumblr's size requirements the quality has to be brought down even more. I don't understand what you mean that I stole my gifs from gettyimages...
Me posting blurry and/or cropped images is also not stealing. Yeah some old photos are blurry. Can't do shit about that. And yeah I crop photos on instagram. Instagram does not take all sizes of photos. Sometimes it literally yells at me that the resolution is too big! Insta pics are all squares incase you haven't noticed. The platform likes squares. So cropping the photo to be closer to that shape makes your life a lot easier. Also it looks better. Wide photos get cut off in previews. If you are insinuating I crop to get rid of watermarks you are wrong. Most of the photos I post don't even HAVE watermarks on them. So much of what I post is me taking a picture of a magazine clipping I have laying around or taking a screenshot from a video! If that's stealing, then we're ALL thieves, you yourself included! Yeah I've seen you post watermarked photos on your own social media. How is it ok for you to do but not for me?
This weird fucking crusade against me needs to stop already. There's so much hypocrisy too. You've made so many posts about me which thank goodness my friends have brought to my attention, that it's looking obsessive. Each one shit talking me in some way. When we have literally had only ONE interaction where you came at me with accusations of being a gatekeeper in the fandom. I had never even heard of you before that. And I was nothing but curteous to you. Also can you please stop digging up my personal information and spreading it around. I have zero interest in doing anything like that to you, it's quite gross actually.
Just admit, that the biggest hypocrisy in this situation are your own comments about how 'Eric belongs to everyone', since you yourself seem to be VERY bothered by others liking him in a same way as you. You always come at me with the "he belongs to everyone" line when I post anything even remotely fangirly about him! It makes your blood boil that someone else has a crush on him too, doesn't it? I have never once claimed I'm the only one allowed to have these feelings, yet you act like that's all I do. Stop projecting onto me.
Edit: I'm also posting this on here because you have blocked me on insta. You've bragged that no matter how much I block you, you can see me on all my social medias anyway so I believe you can see this.

I haven’t been on tumblr in a while, but i’m here to rant to you, my fellow sensible pissed off carat “hag” LOL
I posted on weverse today (hidden from artist), calling out the people who are harassing joshua and the girl, and the people who sent a protest truck (which is an embarrassment, and funnily enough the korean antis also find it embarrassing and unnecessary), telling them to get a life or find a hobby. Not even a minute since i posted and someone replied that I’M “despicable” for calling out fans on weverse. HUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Actually i don’t know what to say about that bec i am so dumbfounded.. another person replied that joshua was caught lip syncing at the concert. ?? i find that “issue” SO ANNOYING because 1) most, if not all, artists lip sync to some extent at concerts, unless they don’t do intense choreography. Even band vocalists stop singing for a bit to catch their breath.. 2) this wasn’t an issue prior to the dating rumors. No one cared! But now they hate joshua and will shit on him for everything <3
Also asked korean carats yesterday to explain to me how dating as an idol is considered “deceiving fans”. They replied to me explaining that it’s because joshua was rarely on ig/wv, but all this time he’s been doing lovestagram with a girl. I get it, but also i don’t think it’s valid cmon now ……….. they’re so offended to the point that someone shaved their eyebrows after hearing the rumors, and another commented a 5-page essay on joshua’s instagram about idols deceiving fans
And NOW another person posted on weibo starting a rumor that hoshi and rv y3r1 are dating. I need people to be for real. I NEED THEM TO SHUT UPPPPPPPP 😭😭😭😭
FELLOW SENSIBLE PISSED OFF CARAT HAG I LOVE THIS TITLE LMAOOO
no but i saw the truck as well and my only thought was woah you guys truly are miserable aren't you? you can go on dates, you can meet people, you can be all lovey dovey if you want, but if an idols even dares to have a rumor? for shame!!!! jail for a thousand years!!! how dare he to deceive fans!!!! which also like you said whenever you ask someone what's that even supposed to mean they're like "well uuh you see uuh he spent his private time doing his private things instead of coddling fans and giving us attention 😠😠" ok and. good for him for being able to put such a clear line between fan and artist
and the lip syncing thing let's be for real!!! every single svt member has done it at one point or another because their shows are ridiculously demanding when it comes to choreography, and you're so right if it was that important why didn't they say anything before all of this blew up!! excuses my guys you are all so miserable!!
the person that shaved their eyebrows did make me laugh ngl LMAO i was like ooh totally me when we get youngk dating rumors LMAO but in a serious note i understand that part of the appeal of idols is this closeness they have with fans and what not, but fans need to understand that there's a line they will never cross, they need to understand these are not some puppets for them to play with but actual real human beings with human lives that Will do things that maybe you don't want them to do. i get being upset that your fave is dating would be lying if i never got upset about it especially when i was young. but the point these people are reaching? genuinely asking you all to seek help because it's just ridiculous
also nothing that happens on weverse can ever be good people there are just. Yikes LMAO
dude i saw someone trying to start a rumor that was wonwoo dating seulgi, mingyu sakura and hoshi yooa like if you're gonna be like that at least agree on who you're gonna use to be stupid LMAO
(also if you wanna send the screenshot of the person calling you despicable i would appreaciate it i need a laugh and maybe be a dick and stalk someone on weverse LMAO)

i still stand by my position that internet harassment is bad, and people really need to knock that shit off. but I think there’s also a lot of, like, misrepresentation that goes on when people are discussing it.
here are two examples of this I saw this morning:
A twitter stan account tweets pitchfork’s rating for “midnights” with two other screenshots – one pitchfork contributor tweeting “jack antonoff dulls the edges of every pop star he produces and must be stopped”, a different pitchfork contributor tweeting “please, artists, I’m begging you to hire anyone but jack antonoff to produce your album”. stan account captions this series of images with “so pitchfork only gave midnights a 70/100 rating cause they don’t like jack as a producer??? the unprofessionalism is insane”. this is then quote retweeted by a third pitchfork contributor with “and here we have a stan account with 23,000 followers inciting harassment against two of my colleagues because they dared to civilly express their opinions about a pop producer”
a public figure tweets an image of an Instagram dm that says “kill yourself 💯”. he captions it with “Death threats to me from an actual clown. I do not take this lightly. The world needs to see the insanity.”
thank god it’s twitter and i can copy/paste direct quotes. but i don’t think these are fair interpretations of either situation. example 1 is criticizing pitchfork contributors for, in their opinion, letting personal bias interfere with reviewing a taylor swift album as objectively as possible. while I think this is somewhat misguided – antonoff has been working with taylor swift for around 8 years at this point, folklore and evermore both got very positive reviews from them, and 7.0 isn’t bad by pitchfork standards. you should have seen what they did to the fucking mars volta – they aren’t stating this in a combative way. it’s not a well grounded speculation, but nothing about it says “tweet the meanest shit you possibly can at these writers”. so I don’t follow the claim.
the second example is… look, “kill yourself 💯” is childish and dumb, but it’s not a credible death threat. it’s not a threat at all. it’s about on par with an instagram crank call. I’d hesitate to even call it suicide baiting, because typically that looks like “here’s an essay that meticulously and cruelly details the drain on the world I think you are. here’s a graphic description of how I want you to kill yourself”. I genuinely would have thought it was trolling if it weren’t for the person tweeting it, someone who doesn’t engage in social media conduct like that.
i bring it all up to ask – what is this? it’s patently dishonest framework, and I don’t think it’s doing anything to help mend the problem of shitty online conduct. like, are they lying on purpose? or did they seriously read this meaning into it? i seriously don’t know what to make of this

Boycotting Adidas and Gap in the Name of Kanye West Is Misguided
Kanye West has a new pronouncement: He is done with corporate America.
“It’s time for me to go it alone,” Ye explained in an interview with Bloomberg that was published Monday. “It’s fine. I made the companies money. The companies made me money. We created ideas that will change apparel forever. Like the round jacket, the foam runner, the slides that have changed the shoe industry. Now it’s time for Ye to make the new industry. No more companies standing in between me and the audience.”
Off
English
West is referring to Adidas—with whom he has an arrangement to produce his sneakers that expires in 2026—and Gap Inc., which is under contract to produce his apparel until 2030.
"They my new baby mamas,” the rapper now legally known as Ye added. “I guess we’re just going to have to co-parent those 350s.”
In recent months, West has called Adidas out for allegedly “blatantly copying” his designs—notably with the AdiFOM Q and the Adilette 22. As for the Gap, the rap game’s David Koresh claims the clothing company was copying looks from his Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga line.
“No one should be held in that position where people can steal from them and say we’re just paying you to shut up,” West explained to the outlet. “That destroys innovation. That destroys creativity. That’s what destroyed Nikola Tesla.” I don’t think that’s quite what led to Tesla’s demise, but Yeezus also complained about being left out of business meetings. He posted screengrabs of text exchanges with various executives on Instagram.
G/O Media may get a commission
Rich people fight all of the time about money. Why are some of us pretending this is some kind of civil rights issue worthy of a boycott?
Last week, Sean Combs, who I still prefer to call Puffy, wrote on Instagram: “Since the era of Run-DMC, @Adidas has always used Hip Hop to build its brand and make billions off of our culture. BUT WE ARE MORE THAN JUST CONSUMERS NOW, WE’RE THE OWNERS. @KanyeWest and YEEZY are the reason Adidas is relevant to culture. WE KNOW OUR VALUE!”
The post was accompanied by a screenshot of an apparent text exchange with our distressed fashion king/doll. “I’m done wearing Adidas products until they make this right!! We have to support each other!! Everybody repost this please!!” Puff added.
Separately, Swizz Beatz wrote: “I usually mind my business but this is DEAD WRONG! If we let them do this to @kanyewest it will happen to us also! This man created this groundbreaking innovation and it should be respected as a creative !”
“YE is only asking for his work to be respected and not stolen that’s not crazy to me !! We not buying these !!!!!!!!!!!!” he continued. “@adidas you’re supposed to be original do the correct thing please !!!”
Of all the issues to bring attention to, this ain’t it.
Once again, Ye is painting a picture of persecution when the reality is that he has been lobbying these corporate giants to give him billions of dollars and carte blanche to “create.”
Details of West’s contract are unknown, but Bloomberg reported that Yeezy made $191 million in royalties from the Adidas partnership in 2020.
Kanye made a choice to sign a contract with those enormous brands. It presumably allowed them to do whatever they want—including taking some of his creative direction and applying it elsewhere within the product line. They want to make money and since his affiliation alone arguably saved the brand, they’re going to target the customer as much as possible.
As I recall, after complaining about the major fashion houses ignoring him, he was happy to sign with them.
In an interview with Angie Martinez in 2014, he announced his deal with Adidas and said, “I’m going to be the 2Pac of product.” I still don’t know what that means, but he tried to do it on his own then without as much success. Then he retooled, used other people’s money and infrastructure, and now has an estimated worth of more than $1 billion.
And he seems to know that. Regardless of what he said this week, last week he suggested an interest in partnering with Authentic Brands Group, whose roster of brands includes Forever 21, Barneys New York, JCPenney, and Reebok. Ye also told Bloomberg he’s working with former Adidas executive Eric Liedtke, who now operates the plant-based clothing label Unless Collective, to help establish his empire.
Good for him, but I’m not sure starting a corporation is the best way to cut ties with corporate America.
By now, Kanye has an established pattern where in the event of a perceived transgression, he uses his Instagram page to malign people with insults and accusations—and then deletes everything. If anyone knows this, it’s his estranged wife and her now-ex-boyfriend. If he can go at the mother of his kids like that, close business partners are certainly not safe. I’m less inclined to treat major corporations as individuals, but there is something very Trumpian about his approach. He has a built in audience/cult that will fall for it, but this comes across as the frustrations of a manipulative micromanager who probably slowed down production (see his perpetually delayed and disjointed album releases).
Sidebar: I love how he ignores all of the times he’s been accused of copying.
Once again, Ye is painting a picture of persecution when the reality is that he has been lobbying these corporate giants to give him billions of dollars and carte blanche to “create.” He got what he wanted and they got what they paid for.
I don’t back Trump supporters with their boycotts—he shouldn’t have signed that contract if he wasn’t cool with the terms. If anything, all of these complaints have made me want to buy Adidas even more, just to spite him. Unless Beyoncé tells me something bad about the company, I’ll pass on the boycott.
I understand Puffy and Swizz want to support their fellow rich friend, but this feels like civil rights-themed hustle with beats. Sorry, not sorry, and thanks but no thanks.
Update: Kanye has since severed his relationship with Gap, announcing on Thursday (9/15) that he’s terminating his partnership with the Gap because of “substantial noncompliance.”
In a statement, his lawyer Nicholas Gravante said West was left with “no choice but to terminate their collaboration” because the retailer allegedly breached their partnership by not opening branded Yeezy stores and distributing his apparel as originally planned.
“Gap’s substantial noncompliance with its contractual obligations has been costly,” Gravante wrote. “Ye will now promptly move forward to make up for lost time by opening Yeezy retail stores.”
Let that be a lesson to all: Rich people will always be fine so long as they complain to their lawyers rather than IG.

Awkward Moments Day
Some things are just better out in the open and Awkward Moments Day on March 18 is your chance to embrace those embarrassing or awkward moments from your past and laugh about them. Remember that time you enthusiastically waved at your friend but soon realized that they were a complete stranger? What about the time when that incy-wincy pebble tripped you in front of all of your classmates? For some  of us, it feels like these awkward moments come looking for us. If you’re one of those people, then today is your day.
History of Awkward Moments Day
The variety of awkward moments is endless, but some of humanity’s most cringe-worthy moments have been better documented than others. Just in case you’re working through your own social faux pas, check out this history to make yourself think: “hey, at least I didn’t do that.”
Turns out, humans have been awkward since the dawn of time. Some of the earliest awkward moments we could find include Isaac Newton incorrectly predicting the end of the world several times, a football team in the 1929 Rose Bowl almost running a touchdown to the wrong side of the field, and President Roosevelt accidentally running into Churchill coming out of the bath, naked!
With the advent of radio, TV, movies, and more technology that connects us, the number of awkward moments publicized and made infamous expanded exponentially. Who hasn’t heard of Janet Jackson’s famous “Nipplegate” situation at the Superbowl? Who doesn’t remember when Ashlee Simpson got caught lip-synching at a concert?
Awkward moments in the YouTube age have a whole new character, as they can be watched over and over again. More famous awkward moments from the 21st century include Mike Tyson falling off a hoverboard and when Ariana Grande got caught on camera licking a doughnut at a bakery before putting it back (ew!).
We have to say, the awkward moments that take the cake are those brought on by the digital age of communication – we mean texting, dating apps, and social media. You know what we’re talking about. Raise your hand if you’ve ever swiped right on a coworker by mistake and had to avoid their desk on your way to the kitchen. Who else has liked a crush’s Instagram post from three years ago? We can’t be the only ones who have ever sent a screenshot of a message… right back to the person we were texting.
Our media age offers a plethora of opportunities for personal embarrassment, but hey – at least we can watch everyone else’s awkward moments on YouTube. Take heart knowing that awkward moments have existed since the dawn of time, and occasionally running into a tree or putting our feet in our mouth only connects us and makes us human. Plus, they’re fun to laugh about!

Get over an awkward moment in your pastYou know that feeling right before you drift off to sleep, where your brain suddenly plays a reel of your top 20 most awkward moments? We’ve all lived through those nights. Rather than turn red and try to banish it from your mind in vain, let the feelings in and work through them. Remember everyone has awkward moments, and you can let the embarrassment go. Anyway, it can’t be any worse than when Steve Harvey crowned the wrong Miss America.
Remember awkward times with a palA good friend won’t judge you for your embarrassing moments - and chances are, they were right there in the same boat with you. Call up a friend and ask them if they remember the time you awkwardly wore matching outfits for a week or liked a crush’s Instagram picture from three years ago. You’ll have a laugh, and the awkwardness will fade away.
You’re Less Awkward Than You Think: People tend to notice your most embarrassing moments far less than you think they do. Studies have proven the existence of the ‘spotlight effect,’ which assumes that other people notice us far more than they do.
Embarrassing Beginnings: In 1664, British Parliamentarian Samuel Peppys was recorded as the first person to write the word ‘embarrassed’.
Have A Laugh: Have an awkward situation that your mind just can’t quite recover from? Facing the situation head-on and laughing about it is the psychologist-approved way to get over it.
Trust the Awkward: People who feel embarrassment are more likely to be trusted and forgiven by others, according to a study!
Infantile Self-Consciousness: Feelings of self-consciousness are some of the earliest feelings we create as humans. As soon as babies can recognize themselves in the mirror, self-consciousness begins.
Why We Love Awkward Moments Day
They’re funny: People love awkward moments. Search “awkward moments” on YouTube, and we guarantee there will be a wealth of the funniest and most cringe-worthy exchanges in people’s lives - and you’ll laugh. The best way to deal with our own awkward moments is exactly the same - just laugh through it and enjoy the entertainment.
They connect us: Awkward moments are something everyone can relate to. We all have a story - yes, THAT story, the story you don’t even like to think about, let alone tell. Whether you farted so loud you spilled your drink on your date, or accidentally called your girlfriend’s mother her grandmother, everyone’s got one.
They make us better: Embarrassment and awkwardness are signs - are you reading them? If you’re embarrassed by something you’ve done, it’s a natural indicator that shows you what you want to improve. Embarrassment can teach you that you didn’t live up to your goals or values, and awkward moments can teach you to be more careful next time. Like, maybe it’ll teach you that it’s important to do the work on a presentation if you’re lecturing to your peers, or that you should chew some gum after drinking coffee at work!
