Erm.. Let's see... Just skip to a muse lol.

Rosie, a friend suggested her some twenty years ago for this elite comic book RP guild. She's the only one I kept from that time. I never heard of her before that & when I read her I remember saying 'she's such an angsty little shit. I love her.'. Her background is like casebook 'what happens if you have a poor support system' in a way.

Ryouta (daken/fang canonly), well he's that guilty pleasure villain everyone enjoys reading about for me I suppose. In another way I get curious about nurture vs nature. Which is something intertwined with his chara i think. (it's a dark past) What inspired me to write him, well he had a slow progression away from his villainess nature you could say. And I am a sucker for growth. It was his appearance's in All New Wolverine that made me go 'oh i'm going to write him'.

Somnus somehow turns stabby villains into teddy bears and i thought it was hilarious.

Bobby, well I wanted a silly gay polyamorous muse & I had been itching to write him for awhile but at the same time wanted to write with a Bobby more so held off. Gave in about a year back i think?

Malicia, well she's pretty AU of one of my favourite comic charas growing up. And well I'm a tad nervous writing her main verse so I just did something with a twist for fun.

TJ I've written a few times over the years. Normally when a friend has me going 'Hell yeah!'. One time I believe a friend was making a Blink (the bestie). This time around I started talking to a few friends about her & then got to talking with Armin about her relationship with her dad. A similar thing happened with Billy. I ended up bringing him back after talking with a friend who writes his twin Tommy. As for originally, I sadly do not recall.

Cloud, well as I said i'm a sucker for growth & his story is full of it. I also enjoy picking apart ways people display or write PTSD & show how it can be displayed in society or be a danger creatively. I also have PTSD, which can range on my reactions to things depending on my environment. So in a way it's one of the ways I learn about myself. Though his mental state has more of a twist to it as he has the lifestream & Jenova influences. Which can come across as confusing as it can seem similar to different forms of DID.

I also have a disability involving memory and memory issues brought on from trauma. So it kinda pulled me in more, I normally don't write muses that are popular to write or I lose the want to write them quickly. Which is not the case with Cloud, he's my rule or norm breaker. (might be why I'm not writing Tifa or Zack tho I'll be honest)

Erm *nibbles pen* flat out don't like? Random bits of rage filling arguments. Thought that's mostly when Anons do it. Mainly for the fact it doesn't go anywhere. I prefer my angst long lasting & with the ability to have a back & forth.

There's a lot of things. Slow burns. Small bits of seriousness that leads to progression of a relationship (friendship or ship). Crack seriousness (threads where you have to squint to see the crack), Smut (picky with that), Angsty pain, healthy ships, snarky *jazz hands* ships, Silly friend/fam moments. etc...

ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴜᴘ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴꜱ?

^_^; So I have the habit, of writing detailed notes & accumulate data (websites, youtube videos, games/comics what have you). I normally write detailed dossiers but lately they turn into 10+ page essays so I've been slapping on wiki pages. Clouds is mostly how his mental state is, how it works & alters along with a lot of lore on locations and Materia to help myself & it's mostly jumbled quick notes with no flow. yeah i just went 'i'll put this over here for later'.

But I basically bury myself within a segment of lore to work it through my head a few times. Then I try to see if I can make it fit into how I feel I'd like to write the muse. Comics can be a bit tricky because there's no mainline writer or books get canceled, one writer makes what another put in place meaningless.

ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇ ɪɴ ꜱɪʟᴇɴᴄᴇ ᴏʀ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀʏ ᴍᴜꜱɪᴄ?

Both! it really depends on my mood, if i'm into the music if my muse wants to jam so on so forth...

ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴘʟᴀɴ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʀᴇᴘʟɪᴇꜱ ᴏʀ ᴡɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇᴍ?

Both! It depends. For close connections or like someone that might be someone mine knows I can ask peeps questions to get an idea of a same flow or idea going. Other times I'll wing it entirely while some i'll just give a brief info dump and ask if someone down for it. Then there's plotting while the thread is being written just to throw out ideas or okay things. There's also the excitement of eating popcorn just because I'm wondering if it'll turn tortuously cute or like a thriller in the next few goes depending on what's going on. xD

Mmmmm, Gumbo but not that northern watered down gumbo the Cajun one where you wheeze and shove bread in your mouth after a few spoonful's. ohhhh homemade Cheesecake with pralines crushed into the bottom layer & drizzled over the top. Mongolian grill with crab & steam mixed heavily with veggies & my own sauce cocktail. Red beans & rice but not the cheap ass sausage, ya need the good stuff or it tastes wrong. Slow cooked in a way where the-- ya shouldn't ask a cook about food.

hello icha!! i finally got around to finishing the stranger haha,, by which i mean i just watched it today. was veryyyy excited for it as i really like the poster design for this one. anyways. this event starting w/ the sort of portrait format or whatever / that narration is like. god. threw me right back to autumn troupe. I kind of love that the storytelling format itself is so distinct for autumn! the moment I realized it was omi I started getting teary… like oh man oh man… omi…. And the connection with him taking photos! ahh!! now that I think about it… omi kind of seems a bit like early version tsumugi, huh? also I keep forgetting this man is a college student lol. suspension of disbelief I suppose. onto the play i think like. mankai should invest in a fainting courch for tsuzuru. i also went to watch the play and 1) im betting yuki had a hell of a time costume design wise like the vines on the body? such fun costuming wise and 2) the ethical implications of whatever this play has,,, fun fun. tsuzuru was clearly having some kind of thoughts. i love zeros design and am always up for a3 characters crossdressing bc 1) i think its fun and 2) the costume design. i also dearly wish this whole thing was animated bc I feel like it’d be o fun to see taichi act as zero. or at least I hope this event gets full voiced one day... moving on to the scene where omi adds soy sauce to the paella I know it’s just like haha homare funny so lets five him a lil bit but like everyone in autumn troupe making their comments on the paella and like homare just jumping in. homare autumn troupe besties. just thinking. also the way they just r like. no no no omi it’s fine if u made a mistake!! it’s ok! we like it (you) anyways <3 it’s got it’s own special taste. something something omi’s perfectly pleasant as he is now but even if he weren’t on his a-game and was dealing with all of the biker gang stuff they would love him just as hard. another thing that got me was omi telling banri that he’ll give him something sweet so juza will stop grinding his teeth in his sleep… guys… guys you’ll give him cavities…. mb omi is a college student after all lol.

anyways when i saw the actual costumes. appreciative of them, i like the lil circuit-esque detailing on banri’s outfit, and that sakyo and taichi (nine and zero) both share that like collar detail? its very symbolic and probably also literal but its a nice way to sort of signify their relation to each other visually! also sakyo just looks nice. seeing him without glasses is so great. whoever thought up the like two mole detail for him was doing gods work.

something that confused me was ryo mistaking juza for nachi for a split second? like. does juza… look similar to nachi? or was it just that ryo only heard juzas voice and made that mistake. if it’s appearance wise too. kumon nachi confirmed. I’m joking lol bc I feel like I would’ve heard at least something abt it in one of the like small conversation comments, plus that doesnt seem like itd fit summer troupes style and kumon is for sure the wrong age… but still.

i really like how for this event, the roles for taichi and omi were kinda reversed. and taichis just so like. idk. smiley. rly lifts ur spirits. its kind of nice how this event contrasts to that cg where taichi is crying on omi. I also think like. idk. considering the story of the stranger. wolf gives zero a sense of purpose and life and I think that zero helps wolf lose his apathy. it’s about “the stranger” and the ending makes him like… not a stranger, right? because he’s got a companion. in the same way, taichi brings omi out of his emotional isolation. the picture taking! also the stickers coming back… thats such a good setup! the found family of it all!!

when he was trying to work out zeros character as soon as taichi mentioned a sharp speaking style I KNEW it was Yuki… yuki would never be as honest as zero is though lol… to me i imagine she’s got a sort of juza internal monologue feel? anyways. the taichi yuki dynamic intrigues me. havent yet decided how I feel abt it but when I do… yes. sorry that I make literally no sense. I think it’s very obvious that yuki is my fav chara kind of? I’m just. hmmm it makes me think! I’ve been monologuing to myself abt the yuki and juza dynamic lately which, to my a3 knowledge so far, doesn’t exist, but its ok bc I’ll make it exist! uhhh anyways this event was very good i liked the pacing. i think it didnt drag too hard and it really properly honed in on just omi and taichi, which was quite nice. they really did a lot for just an event!

time to listen to the event song,,, ok so. ah. i rly enjoyed just for myself it was very much to my taste so. out of curiousity i was like ok lemme look up the composer / producer AND IT WAS YUYOYUPPE....... that guy is like!!!! one of my FAV producers ever!!!!!! i know him from like. his vocaloid days and god leia is still one of my fav songs to this day...! this knowledge gives me so much joy omg!!! like wow!! wowwww!!! like i knew yuyoyuppe was out there doing other stuff (i know he worked on a lot of babymetal music which is cool) but like idk. to suddenly encounter it like this. heheh.... its so nice! made me soooo happy. going to relisten to leia now haha

WAIT ONE MORE THING. i was like "haha let me look at other songs i remember liking a lot" which. for me was rakuen oasis and don't cry. anyways. rakuen oasis is ALSO by yuyoyuppe???? oh my god!!! oh my god... sigh. feel like im in heaven.

godd yeah The Stranger started so strongly and the idea to still incorporate portraits in his story was really something to make us cry!

For the fainting couch for Tsuzuru LMAO and i'm letting you know there's a webcomics that addresses it in Act 2 (hough there's no spoilers aside from the fact Chikage is here)

Im glad you liked the costume and the play!!! yeah i love the designs and it is always a blast to see them this into it, and yeaaah Tsuzuru has thoughts huh. It'll get voiced sooner than later hopefully and there we'll see more in details :3c but also that's what made the seiyuu live so fun bc they perform the songs in play cosplay and replay a bit of the play everytime and it's *chief kiss*

yeah agreed on the costume they all look so cool! and nice catch on how those three seem linked like that with their costumes, Yuki (and the designers) does such a good job! and god yeah for Sakyo.. yeah. He has sucha good design dLKJFDF

aND DLKFJD yeah no Juza is supposed to look like Nachi physically, but mostly his face? like i think Nachi was had green hair? we see a sprite of him in a future story, and yeah, everything is in the eyebrows. so Kumon should be safe? Omi mentions he sees a lot of Nachi in Juza, and while it is mostly due to their passions i think, the fact they're also rough looking guy with a heart of gold must play a part as well. but yeah, he does look like Nachi a bit.

and i love your deeper analysis of the event yeah!!

I feel like Taichi is really an emotional core of the troupe in the sense that is, he tends to catch on what others are feelings easily. And he uses it in the early chapters to ease off the tensions and stuff, but he was being held back by knowing he was deceiving them. So now that he's more free, he can be more of himself. but yeah i also love the contrast with how Omi was the one to help Taichi through his breakdown and guilt, and now it's the other way around, it's Taichi helping him through it. and the parallelism between the play and their dynamic is spot on imo! well said!!

and god yeah the sticker things made me cry sO HARD, and the pictures! and everything!! sobs it's such a sweet found family i'm going to cry :(

And! i love what you say about Yuki, Taichi and Juza on this one. I love that Taichi keeps bringing it back to "that childhood friend" and it's always like. so obvious who it is for us rip. But it can make you wonder if Yuki was more honest as a kiddo when Taichi knew him, though now he's clearly not. I love the mention of how Zero is more like Juza's internal speech (which, if anything is another argument about why you should let Juza wear a dress, cOWARD)

but also your mention of the Yuki and Juza thing, while i can't think of them having a dynamic per se yet, but i actually wrote a post during my reread about how i was baffled at the fact they treated Muku the same way?? like both of them tried to push Muku away because they were scared of how people would react if they say pure, sweet Muku was associated to them. And i find it fascinating because i guess those two are pretty aware of how the world see them, and it used to stop them from fully allowing them to be themselves.

I also find it relevant with the fact Yuki says in his personal song that while all of this way people judge him weight on him, he rather be himself, and "I want to love myself". Meanwhile we have Juza who's also aware of the way people judge him and it weight on him, and he wants to change himself from this person he hates, this self loathing - and in a way, he can grow in a way to be "someone" he may not hate, even on stage. I feel like those two have quite a bit in common in this way of being rejected by their peers in some sort of way.

I really want them to share some stuff at some point because there's really a groundwork on it all :(

But i'm really glad you liked that event!! agreed on the pacing and i do love what it brings to the characters! it really fleshes them out and have them move forward a little and it's pretty sweet.

AND OMG THAT'S SO COOL FOR THE SONG!! i'm so glad you liked it, but that's incredible it turned out to be from one of your fav producer!!! ahah sometimes life is like that where you end up finding the stuff you loved back into new stuff! and the fact Rakuen Oasis was from him as well... that's so cool!!! just, so so cool!

im pretty sure he has more songs going forward so i hope you'll enjoy the ride even more!!

I have a bit of a list which I'll share but my #1 fave character of my own is Hailie Tyler. She survived a 1.0 Gossip Girl roleplay as an OC before being integrated into Havens. Lauren!!! @foxy-vanessa Omg I'm literally still going on about how darn happy I am that Lauren joined this RP!!! I have been updating lately which feels great but please don’t get use to it LOL, I have a lot of things to do, but this is a special story for my 300 followers reaching mark. The “chic prince” Im Jaebum, he’s nothing but a fake and a liar. Everyone loves him for his style and his popularity on his SNS, nothing more and nothing less. People don’t even know the real Jaebum. He’s nothing a but a fraud to the public. He’s a huge touchy flirt and all he ever does is talk to the girls and touch them. He shouldn’t be even touching them, he has a girlfriend. Poor girl doesn’t even know half of the things that he does. But it wasn’t your business to tell anyways.

A senior in high school is what you were, just trying to graduate and leave this hell place, but believe me the process was so hard. Everyday you had idiots everywhere around you, just talking and gossiping. For once could they shut up and focus on academics? You struggled with social anxiety and depression due to your parents and that’s probably why you hated everyone in this school. Your parents always dehumanized you about your looks and weight and forbid you from even hanging out with people, hinting that you don’t have any friends really and you don’t talk to anyone. People always glare at you and share whispers of how you never talk, and you’re known as the “cool and calm collected gal”, and occasionally there would be rumors about how you’re a loner and depressed. But they’re not wrong on the depressed part, but I am not a loner. I have friends they just don’t go to this school because I hate everyone here.

It was time to head for psychology class. You headed in and took a seat waiting for the bell to ring, so class could start. You all of sudden heard a commotion of girls screaming and fangirling about Jaebum while he was showing off his looks and his SNS post. You heavily rolled your eyes and continue to focus on muting everyone out. Your psychology teacher wanted to do an activity today. Which was trying to get to know each other more. You heavily sighed and wish someone could end you already. He starts off with the basics of asking everyone their favorite color and movie and etc. Of course, everyone answered and then all of a sudden, he drops a deep question on us.

“Each of you share one mental struggle with the class, because after all this is a psych class” he grinned.

You were hesitant of actually sharing your thoughts on this question, should you lie or not? But then you really thought about it and hey? It’s your senior year so why not? Go hard or go home. So, you stood up from your desk and you decided to share the class about your depression, just clearly stating you have depression and that was all. The whole class looked at you and started sharing whispers to one another. You could hear theirs whispers “oh my god, that’s why she’s so quiet and distant, the rumors were true!” They all started glaring and was shocked about the news. You sat back down and continued muting out the whispers until Jaebum’s group of friends started making unnecessary comments about depression.

“Wow depression must suck,” one person said.

“What a shame,” they mocked.

“Hey Jaebum, how are you and Bree? Are ya’ll doing okay?” his friend asked.

“We had an argument but it’s no biggie,” Jaebum shrugged.

“Awh poor little prince had an argument with his girl,” they laughed.

“Whatever, it’s not a big deal. Unlike (Y/N), I have things I can get” He snickered

“That’s a bit rude Jae,” someone said.

“I mean oops? At least my life is stabilized?” Jaebum retorted.

“I bet, I mean look at you!” His friend said.

“Hey, at least I’m not the one who is suffering from depression,” He scoffed

That comment immediately triggered you and you couldn’t stand them chatting anymore, especially when they were talking about depression like it was some sort of joke to them.

*you stood up from your desk and walked over to Jaebum, and raised your hand and slapped him across the face*

“Yah. Im Jaebum,” You said with a serious tone.

*Jaebum looked at you and touched his cheek while looking at you with disbelief*

“Why,” he said while looking.

“Yah. Who are you to tell everyone here about my life when you don’t even know the full story. Is this funny to you? What right do you have to MOCK ME IN FRONT OF EVERYONE HUH!” You yelled furiously.

*He glares at you with silence*

“Yes, I have depression and? Do you think I asked to have depression? Do you think I wanted to be sad and have this suffocating feeling choking me around my neck everywhere I go? Yah! Is this funny to you? You shouldn’t be putting my name in your mouth in the first place. You think your life is all great and wonderful because you’re the chic prince of this school,” You said.

“Prince Jaebum,” You scoffed.

“I never said I was the prince of this school, people just decided to give me the title” Jaebum said.

“What is your point? It doesn’t matter, people think you’re a prince anyways, but what gives you the right for you to talk about my life, when you don’t even know the whole story about my life. You have a mother at home who loves you and cherishes you and for god sakes even spoils you and gets you everything you want. Me? I have a mother at home who dehumanizes me about my weight. She didn’t even acknowledge the fact that her daughter wanted to kill herself, instead you know what she did? She basically told everyone I wasn’t her daughter and she thought I was a lunatic psycho. So, should you be talking about my life LIKE IT’S A JOKE,” You said.

“(Y/N). What right do you have to say all those things, you don’t know me or my mom, what right do you have to say all these things when you don’t even know what I’ve been through? You’re not receiving any hate from people online or anything!” Jaebum argued back.

*you scoffed*

“Are you serious? Receiving hate comments from people? YAH, YOU’RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO GETS THOSE THINGS JAEBUM-AH. Stop acting like you’re the only victim. There are people out there who have it way more worse than you and EVEN ME. There are people who don’t even have a family or shelter or perhaps they even struggle living everyday searching for food. So, should you be calling yourself a victim right now?” You said.

“So, what is your point?” Jaebum asked.

“You have no right to tell everyone in this class about my life likes it’s a joke when you don’t know the whole story. Keep my name out of your mouth,” You said.

*you went close to his face*

“trash,” You said with a serious tone.

The whole class looked at you with shock. You were known as someone who was quiet and was always ignoring people. It was quite shocking for people to see this new side of you. Everyone in the room clapped and cheered. Jaebum on the other hand sat down and was furious. The teacher on the other hand kicked you and Jaebum out of class and told you wait outside.

“Why did you go off on me like that” Jaebum asked.

“What? Are you serious? I had the right to go off on you. What do you mean? You mocked me in front of the whole class,” You said.

“You should’ve just kept your mouth shut, and dissociated yourself from people like always,” He scoffed.

*You turned looking at Jaebum, and pushed him against the wall and grabbed shirt by the neck*

“Yah,” You said while looking him in the eye.

“What,” He replied

“You should really shut your mouth before I shut it for you. Don’t you ever talk to me like you know who I am,” You said.

Jaebum grabbed your hand causing you to release and he then flipped you over, having your back against wall and slammed his hand on the wall.

“Yah. Don’t think you’re tough just because no one here is looking at us, let’s not forget you’re just a girl” He said angrily.

*slaps Jaebum*

“I’m not afraid of anyone including you, you’re not intimidating Jaebum. I chose to be quiet and disassociate myself because I don’t want to be involved with a bunch of noisy idiot losers like you,” You retorted.

With that you broke free from Jaebum and walked away having your back facing him. You waved off and said something to him.

“Don’t be so cocky with me. After all I’m the one who holds all of your dark horrible secrets that can ruin your image. I’m sure Bree wouldn't mind knowing what type of guy you are,” You said.

*You then turned around looking at Jaebum*

“Try me again and this time I’ll definitely humiliate you and ruin your ‘chic prince’ reputation,” You said while smiling.

*You turned around and left*

Author’s note: I know that I haven’t been going in order of when I received my requests lately and I’m sorry, but sometimes inspiration strikes me for different stories at different times. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving wasn’t a holiday you had expected to share with William. For starters, American Thanksgiving is far more different from the day of thanks celebrated in Canada, and William’s from Sweden, where they don’t celebrate any sort of holiday that’s anywhere near the gluttonous fourth Thursday of November. The NHL also doesn’t take any breaks except for Christmas and All-Star. These were the reasons why you only bought one plane ticket home.

What you weren’t expecting was the Leafs to not have any games Thanksgiving day or the following day. You had thought that William would want to rest and enjoy his days off, but he instead begged to come home with you. You had resisted at first, but his argument was extremely passionate, and you just couldn’t say no to your boyfriend. This led to the present: You and William sitting in the rental car as you drive the familiar streets to your childhood home.

“Don’t be nervous.” You say for the third time in as many minutes.

“I’m not nervous.” William insists once again. “You know, at this point it seems like you’re trying to reassure yourself more than you are me.”

“I’m just letting you know that there’s nothing to worry about.” William gives you a knowing look as you smile at him. “Alright, maybe I am trying to reassure myself.”

“What are you so nervous about? I’ve met your parents before, and we got along just fine!”

“Thanksgiving isn’t just my parents, though, and I’m just trying to prepare you. My extended family’s a little…” You trail off, trying to find a word to describe your family that’s not too harsh. “Intense.” You finish.

“Intense?” William questions right as you turn on the road to your home. Yellow and black adorns every yard, with the occasional splash of blue and red. You nervously laugh when William whips around towards you, suddenly becoming very nervous. “The Bruins?” He accuses, addressing you almost as if you’ve committed a crime.

“What, I’ve never mentioned that my family’s die-hard Bruins fans?” William scoffs.

“No, I don’t believe you have.” William groans when he looks down at his shirt. “I’m wearing my Leafs hoodie! You let me wear my Leafs hoodie!”

“It has your name and jersey number on it, Willy, it’ll be fine.”

“Fine? I think I’m going to get mugged when I step out of the car.” William’s calm demeanor has melted away at this point as he grips the seat of the car, his knuckles going white.

“Willy, they’re not going to hate you for playing for the Leafs.”

“They know I play hockey?” You shrug.

“My family’s asked who I’m dating, and I’ve said ‘William Nylander.’ I guess I’ve just assumed that people who watch hockey as voraciously as they would know the name.” You pull the car to the car and park, suddenly grimacing at just how decorated the house is. “Are you ready? You know that we don’t have to do this, right? We can leave; I’ll say that you got sick on the way over or something like that.” William shakes his head, opening the car door slightly.

“No, we’ve come this far. I’m gonna meet your family and they’re gonna be blown away by how awesome I am.” You smile and pat William’s hand.

“That’s the spirit, Willy.” William opens the rear door and grabs the pie that you had picked up from the store last night after you landed while you join him at the other side of the car. You both look at each other, silently daring each other to make the first move.

“Are you ready?” William finally speaks after a moment.

“I’m ready if you are.” You grab William’s hand then, locking your fingers together and walking towards the door. You don’t bother knocking, you just open the door. At William’s inquisitive gaze, you smile. “My house was constantly full of the neighborhood kids. I don’t think I’ve ever even heard the doorbell.”

“(Y/N)? Is that you?” A voice shouts from inside the house. Grinning, you tug William over the threshold.

“Come on! They don’t bite.” You joke while William rolls his eyes. “Anybody home?” You yell back in response. At this, your mom comes out of the kitchen, a dish towel slung over her shoulder and her hair pulled back in a loose bun. She immediately envelops you in a hug before noticing William.

“William! (Y/N) didn’t tell me you were coming!” Your mom abandons you to hug William instead as you’re left holding the pie that your mom almost crushed in her haste.

“The schedule fell just right, no games for us today or tomorrow. It’s nice to see you again, Mrs. (Y/L/N).” Your mom blushes at William’s insistence on calling her a name so formal.

“I’ve told you before to call me (Y/M/N), William.” You roll your eyes quickly as your mom turns to you, not wanting to get caught doing something so childish. “Everyone’s already here, so be prepared-” Your mom can barely get out her warning before you hear a bunch of children screaming and the pounding of footsteps down the stairs. Around the corner comes various cousins and siblings; they all look the same, so when they’re all running together it’s difficult to tell the 15 or so apart.

“(Y/N)!” You’re tackled in a flurry of hugs as you stumble back, attempting to gather everyone in your arms. They tumble back in a mass of arms and legs, staring at William in awe. William shyly waves to them, uncharacteristically blushing.

“You’re William Nylander.” One of your male cousins says almost questioningly.

“He is, and if you guys stop staring at him like he’s a zoo exhibit maybe he’ll actually answer some questions.” You say firmly. As the oldest ‘kid’ in the family, you’ve always been the one to let them know when they’ve screwed up.

“What’s it like playing with Auston Matthews?” Your cousin Marie shyly speaks, using her teddy bear as a shield between her and the world. William can’t help but smile as he steps up to Marie, bending down to her level.

“Ah, so you’re an Auston fan, huh?” Marie nods exuberantly.

“Uh-huh! For my birthday, (Y/N) got me a Matthews jersey!” William glances up at you as you shrug.

“I tried to get her a Nylander one, but she wouldn’t budge.” You joke.

“Playing with Auston’s pretty great,” William starts, getting back to his starstruck audience. “But he’s even better off the ice.”

“Come on Marie, we don’t care about the Leafs!” Your cousin Henry groans as Marie sticks her tongue out at the young boy. “What’s it like being smashed against the boards by Chara?” You laugh loudly as William winces at the thought.

“It hurts. Some say that they see their lives flash before their eyes when they get checked by Chara. I’ve literally never been more scared before.” Everyone starts to pelt questions at William before they’re all interrupted by your uncle calling everyone into the kitchen for dinner. The kids all trample ahead, yelling about who gets to go first, while William stands and smiles at you, kissing you quickly.

“See? Nothing to be nervous about.” You say.

“Who the hell is this?” A deep voice booms as you go white.

“Oh no.” You mutter before turning and smiling. “Uncle Brandon! How are you?” You wrap him in a hug while simultaneously tightening your grip on William’s hand, who has suddenly tried to back up.

“Just great, (Y/N/N), but don’t change the subject. Who’s this?” You pull William right next to you, squeezing his hand reassuringly.

“This is my boyfriend, William....Nylander.” You mutter the last part, knowing that this might not go nearly as well.

“Maple Leafs William Nylander?” You uncle questions as you nod. For a long moment, your uncle glares at the both of you before grinning. “I guess I can make an exception to my hatred of the Leafs. (Y/N)’s never brought a guy home before.” He jokes as you groan.

“Just had to bring that up, didn’t you?” You joke, lightly shoving your uncle as he laughs and shakes William’s hand.

“Come on, kids, plenty of good food in the kitchen.”

Thankfully, dinner passes by uneventfully, with only one inflammatory statement made by your great-grandmother. Afterwards, you do what every New England family does; settle in to watch the Patriots. The living room’s packed, with you and William ending up on the floor. You sit in between William’s legs as William lays his head on top of yours. Not being from America, he doesn’t really understand football, but he tries, yelling and cheering when you guys all do the same.

“HOW THE HELL WAS THAT PASS INTERFERENCE?” The living room explodes with a variety of curses and yells. You huff and look up at William, who’s smiling down at you.

“Sorry. We get a little crazy when it comes to football.” You’re stating the obvious, but this is one of those perfect family moments that you don’t want to ruin.

“I don’t mind at all.”

“So how did you like your first American Thanksgiving?” You ask.

“That’s more food than I’ve ever seen in my life. I’ve never seen an 85 year old woman with dentures eat a turkey leg so fast before.” You both laugh at the thought of your great-grandma demolishing her meal. “But it was fantastic. Thank you for letting me tag along.” Marie chooses this moment to whine about how she wants to sit with William. You move besides him, allowing Marie to occupy your former spot as William makes a show of making sure she’s comfy.

“I think that you’ll be tagging along for the next few years, Willy. You’re kind of stuck with this family.”

“There’s no other family I’d rather be stuck with. Happy Thanksgiving, (Y/N).” William leans in to kiss you as you kiss back, ignoring Marie’s complaints about how gross it is.

“Happy Thanksgiving to yo-TOUCHDOWN!”

page of cups - sensitive, kind, imaginative, romantic, gentle, new love, love letters

you were open to love, or perhaps simply longed for it. the page of cups is soft and sensitive, but also imaginative and creative. creative expression is also a big part of this card, since it can literally represent love letters, haha!

2. an action you took because of it

seven of cups - fantasy, illusion, creative brainstorming, altered states

this card once again represents a dreamy state of mind; it also represents indecision. while the question asked for an action you took, the card says that your action was, perhaps, inaction; though not necessarily from lack of care or interest. the seven of cups represents so much overwhelming choice, and so many options, that stagnation covers you.

this card can also represent altered states; this can be anything from meditation/visualization to alcohol/drugs. perhaps you were led to one of these things by your emotional state of mind.

3. a key event in your timeline

the emperor - power, structure, stability, authority, father

the emperor represents logical and rational thought, enforcing rules and structure, and leadership. perhaps things went from scattered to organized; from free to strict; neither of which are necessarily a bad thing! to me, though, the emperor feels a bit more authoritative than usual, and to me that seems like a conflict, but that doesn’t mean it was!

he can also represent a father or father figure in your life. perhaps something prominent happened involving (or because of) a masculine figure in your life!

4. your role in that key event

this card indicates a difficult loss. this could be the end of something (a life or a relationship), or a feeling of betrayal or rejection, or even more literal loss.

keep in mind that this is your role in #3, which was a “key event” involving the above mentioned characteristics. this could imply that there was a loss, rejection, betrayal, etc. involving that father figure in your life.

perhaps the difficult loss was a loss of freedom; if you were giving up control for structure and rules, then your role would have included grieving for your lost way of living.

two of cups [reversed] - difficulty relating, unequal relationship, no relationship, balancing energy

…so in answer: your standing with others was disharmonious. alright then, seems like you leaned on others without giving back; you took and either didn’t want to or forgot to give back. time apart was needed, or perhaps demanded. while your standing with other people wasn’t all that great, remember that this feels like something you conquered, yeah?

6. others’ standing with you

i’ll jump straight in with this one: you were mean to others, even if you didn’t intend to be. perhaps you didn’t quite trust them, or you simply had to win every argument, but you always had to be “right.” you may have done things you didn’t want to do just to prove others wrong. it’s not necessarily that you saw yourself above other people, but you certainly had a complex about “winning” – even if that wasn’t what you should have been focused on.

this card is a very stark contrast to the page of cups in #1, but everyone has their facets! perhaps you have forgotten or blocked out a time when you were numb and closed off to help, insight, and emotion. this card can also representing feeling sensitive (to hurt, etc) and acting childishly, such as by lashing out or being unduly stubborn.

this card can also be a push to give up some decadent pleasure, like alcohol, chocolate, or some other type of food. you may have forgotten this warning: to be careful about what you indulge in.

8. a mistake you’ve made

judgement - rite of passage, maturing, reviewing, transition

interesting…this is rarely seen as a negatively-coded card. i’ll do my best to pick out its flaws, haha! ;)

judgement is all about one phase of life coming to an end; it’s about change and release. it’s about growing up and being accountable for your choices and behavior. which, i will admit, seems like a great thing.

but why did you decide to “grow up”? why did you decide to embrace such change? while things cannot stay the same forever, rushing into decisions, or choosing something without thinking it through, can be dangerous and harmful for everyone involved. sure, a teenager may want to try to be mature and drive a car – but what if that teenager is only 13? sometimes, it’s better to hold onto your childhood innocence.

9. something you did right

queen of cups - empathetic, receptive, sensitive, introspective, psychic, emotional, loving, dreamer, counselor, mother

(personally, the queen of cups is one of my favorite cards!! ^^) maturity, sensitivity, and romance – all themes we’ve seen, both in positive and negative lights. here, the implication is that these traits were able to help you in some way. as this card represents empathy and intuition, your emotional nature and gut feelings were able to help you do something right.

you were receptive, loving, and artistic; not all the time (as the queen of cups can also be moody, emotionally manipulative, and deceitful), but you showcased the best of the queen’s qualities at the best possible time. wonderful job~!

10. a lesson learned

as this is a negatively-coded card, i’m going to assume the lesson you learned was to not do these things; to stop running away and avoiding conflict or responsibilities. you learned that it’s okay to be sad, and that you don’t always have to be happy. it’s okay to let go and release control of a situation when you know you can’t handle it.

as you can see, you got an overwhelming amount of cups! the suit of cups is associated with receptiveness, femininity, and water. as indicated multiple times in the reading, you were (usually) receptive to emotions.

this was quite tiring, but very interesting to do!
